Hello.
Kavino
Malcolm Glaubel here. We're here in New York City with T mobile for business recording another episode of revisionist history about how 5G network slicing strengthens trust and connections across worldwide industries. Slicing can be used for so many different things. We're here with our friends from CNN from Siemens Energy. The ways that it can be used, frankly, are limitless and are really, really built to think through. How can T Mobile understand the pain points that our customers have? Smash those pain points and help you deliver very specific outcomes.

Rich Davis

So you could pretend like you're working and enjoying the fun with nature Boy and Wes and Steelo and Stockton and Lisa. Everybody chiming in. Chuck Hansen, 1946, everybody chiming in. Live feedback.
Kavino
I gotta say, Nature Boy said, I hate on Philly. I do. I'm a. I'm a New Yorker. Much love, though, Philly. I do hate on people that smell like hibachi, though. Beni Hana. I went last night and to wrap up my thoughts, if you go out for one of these teppanyaki, Benihana, hibachi type of nights, if you don't have a fun time, you're the problem. I really think that it is such an experience every time. It's not cheap. You end up smelling like, you know, onion volcano when you get home. What's that smell? You have to immediately throw those clothes in the hamper.
Sam
Yo. It's not cheap is an understatement. That's like, you go there once a year, maybe twice for somebody's birthday.
Kavino
It was family of four. What do you think it was? Family of four.
Sam
Oh, that's. It's like 60 bucks a person.
Kavino
It was like. It was like a little under 200 for a family of four.
Covino
It was.
Kavino
It was a nice night out.
Rich Davis
I love when they do the birthday songs.
Kavino
Oh, you got to fake someone's birthday, right?
Rich Davis
I mean, papa, son, it's your birthday.
Covino
Love it.
Kavino
Mama birthday.
Rich Davis
Sometimes I just bust that out.
Kavino
Your birthday at the house. Happy birthday to you. Bung.
Rich Davis
Let's cross the best.
Kavino
If you don't have fun at that type of place. Onion volcano, beating heart. What are the other tricks?
Rich Davis
Coca Cola.
Kavino
Oh, Japanese Coca Cola.
Covino
Yeah.
Kavino
And they squeeze in soy sauce.
Rich Davis
Oh, I love it.
Kavino
I want, you know, what is this Is this a crazy idea? I bought one of these for my backyard. One of these nice flat grills. And you got to take lessons. I'm thinking about taking lessons. I wonder if I took a few lessons. Like, there's got to be a hibachi school. I wanna. I want you guys to come over and I want to shock the S out of you and just be like, guys, come in the backyard, start flipping eggs and stuff. How long do you think that takes to learn?
Rich Davis
It's a lot of practice.
Wes
I think I like an ASMR with that sound of, like this, the metal. Oh, yeah, spatula. There's something about that sound and like, the food getting scooped up. It's like, it's very pleasing.
Rich Davis
It's always a little awkward, though, with the mixed company, because then you got pretend like you're friends for that one hour with, like, random people that are sitting there.
Kavino
It's a great place to go with seven other people because eight people cover. It's two on the end, four and then two. So if you have a party of eight, like two families or you and a bunch of coworkers. I grew Cavino strangers at a hibachi table, you get the wrong mix of people. It's like, oh, we're sitting these. Sitting with these weirdos.
Rich Davis
Yeah. Like, the guy flips a piece of shrimp in his hat and no one cheers. Like, who are these lame Os? Get them out of my table. I don't want their face looking at mine when I'm enjoying this wonderful steak chicken combo.
Kavino
And I always tell the kids, like, you got to clap when he does the onion volcano. And as I said yesterday, I think you got to drop that guy at 20 and like, like, very east coast guido style. The guy that cooks the hibachi for you, give him a little. Thank you, man.
Rich Davis
Hey, that's big time, bro. Who are you, Daddy Stacks, bro.
Kavino
It's a nice night. So any others you want to throw before we get into some NFL tyree kill?
Rich Davis
The question is, and here's my only complaint. Yeah, I know. The entertainment is there with the chef. Yeah. But there's never like, hey, can I put that Is do you guys have the game on? There's no TV at those places ever.
Kavino
But I have a question I need. What sensory overload do you need the show of?
Rich Davis
Because it's a fun atmosphere. It's not like you're at a stuffy, you know, high end restaurant.
Wes
Go, get away from that. You want to embrace, like, the show.
Rich Davis
I feel like that.
Kavino
Are you being pandering sports guy right now out. You need a game on.
Rich Davis
Every time I'm at one of those places, I definitely have my phone up watching, like, the Yankees or a fight or, you know, wherever.
Kavino
You can't go out to dinner and not watch a game. I feel like that atmosphere is.
Rich Davis
Is also conducive to have the game on.
Covino
What.
Wes
What if it was TV monitors, but it was just more guys doing hibachi?
Rich Davis
Just one there, just like, oh, man, that guy. Sports guy at table six. He's got the skills.
Sam
I.
Kavino
Why do you prop your phone on the guy's hibachi hat?
Rich Davis
Oh, that'd be cool.
Sam
I don't want to sound insensitive here, but the. The location we have right down the street from us. Brenda and I took the family last year for a special occasion, and a couple tables, a couple grills away was Stevie Wonder. And I don't know if it was.
Rich Davis
What's he going there for?
Sam
Well, I told Brenda, gave me a dirty look, because I'm like, he's. He's missing the show.
Rich Davis
No way he's catching that zucchini.
Wes
He's enjoying that asmr.
Rich Davis
Okay.
Wes
All those clanging sounds amazing.
Sam
Yeah, that would be frustrating. Everyone else is clapping.
Kavino
Kavino and I have been.
Wes
Trust me, he's enjoying it.
Kavino
Kavino and I have been to so many of these places. Like, even if we're away on a business trip, if there's one like, down the block, like, yo, you want to go do hibachi? I feel, though, sometimes if I get some, like, young, dirty white guy, I feel like I'm robbed. I feel like the cultural experience.
Rich Davis
Well, if you're going to say that, I feel that about. And I could say this, because I'm a half breed Vato loco forever. Yeah. When, like, when Julio comes out and he's the cook, I'm like, ah, come on.
Kavino
Kavina wants a. Kavita wants a Japanese.
Rich Davis
I'm not saying.
Sam
Maybe he was trained by the master.
Dan Patrick Show Announcer
Of course.
Rich Davis
Yes.
Dan Patrick Show Announcer
I get it.
Rich Davis
He's a master hibachi chef. He's trained by the best. He's a black belt, but I don't know.
Kavino
It's the best.
Rich Davis
I want a guy that looks like me. I want a guy that looks like that.
Kavino
Give me. Give me something else. That's a no fail where you go and it's like, if someone doesn't have fun, they're the problem. So it's hibachi night.
Rich Davis
Wait, so, rich, you're telling me you don't want Brad being your Hibachi chef.
Kavino
I'm just saying, like sometimes.
Rich Davis
Hey, I'm Brad.
Covino
I am.
Kavino
I'm Brad.
Sam
Yeah.
Rich Davis
Who ordered steak here? How do you like it cooked?
Kavino
Get out of here, Brad.
Rich Davis
Brad doesn't do a good onion volcano, but here in la, yeah, you know you're gonna get that.
Kavino
You could say the same about me after I learned these skills.
Rich Davis
Okay, no sales.
Kavino
The sound of those spatulas on the grill.
Rich Davis
What are the other automatic no fails in life where if you take your family or a date and they don't have fun, they're not entertained, they're the problem. So this is an automatic Hydromatic. I got one.
Kavino
Well, here.
Rich Davis
And we. This, these are rules we've lived by for years. Rich Hibachi is like a great date spot, great family spot where you're almost guaranteed to have a good time. If not, something's not cool, something's not right. So hibachi night for sure. Like, who's not entertained? I'm like a six year old kid. Like, give me the hat. I want the whole experience. I love that stuff. I love when it's so much fun of me. It's so much fun. It's a no fail. Comedy shows.
Covino
Yeah. Yeah.
Rich Davis
If you can't chuckle at chuckles, something's wrong with you.
Kavino
If, even if the comics are bad, there's funny in them.
Rich Davis
Bombing a few drinks, they force you to drink. You're out and about, so you're already intoxicated.
Kavino
So I just feel like even if you go to a comedy club and no one's really that funny, the funny is in the fact that no one was funny. Like, it's. It's hard to go to a comedy club and be like, man, that really stunk. Because even if it stunk, the funnies in, oh, my God, how bad were the comics?
Rich Davis
You might not do it that often, but if you're going out to a comedy show and that person you're with is not bring in a laugh or two, man, you're with the wrong person.
Sam
I have one and I know could cost money and there's some lines involved, but once you get inside, if you can't have fun inside an amusement park, you're the problem.
Rich Davis
I agree with you, absolutely. Yeah, I don't like rides.
Sam
Like at Disneyland, you see some here and there because most of the people in there having fun, but you see some people, you know, they got dragged into the park.
Rich Davis
But even, even if you don't like rides, right? And that was like my mom growing up, she always stood by the strollers or whatever. Like, come on, mom, you know, like, if you're one of those, there's still something, right, that for you to do. Like, at least enjoy the atmosphere, the parades, the food. What are those things called? Those pineapple things? Dole. What?
Sam
The dole whip.
Rich Davis
Enjoy a dole whip. Stop complaining.
Wes
Yeah, don't be a dole whip.
Rich Davis
Yeah, don't be a dole whip.
Kavino
Enjoy a dole whip.
Rich Davis
Enjoy a dole whip. Like Sam said. So what are some other automatics? Some other no fails in life?
Kavino
I disagree with Chuck. Chuck hit us up and he goes concerts. Because if you get dragged to a concert of a genre you don't like. I got dragged to like a hippie concert once where it was like a bunch of stoners and like a gem band.
Rich Davis
Rich and I together, we ended up at the. We had to do it for work. We ended up at the Rothbury Music Festival, Michigan. In Michigan. It was a bunch of stinky hippies.
Kavino
Stinky hippies with these sticks where they were hitting something back and forth.
Rich Davis
I saw more hairy armpits that day than I ever signed up for. What do they call those?
Wes
Like, the Jekyll stick or something?
Kavino
Whatever it was, I.
Rich Davis
Nerd stick.
Kavino
Yeah.
Wes
Like tacky sex and whatnot.
Kavino
Yeah.
Rich Davis
Honestly, hit you with your own nerds.
Kavino
So I agree. Concerts are fun, but if it's a concert of a genre or people that.
Rich Davis
Are not your type of people, still memorable. That was so many years ago. We're still talking about it.
Kavino
You're right.
Rich Davis
But yeah, like, you need to. Like, you need to vibe with the. The artists a little bit.
Wes
Did they smell like Benihana, those people?
Kavino
No, they smell like musty. No, they smell like old weed and like. And like. And like incense. Like college dorm room. Like a 1998 college dorm room.
Rich Davis
Yeah, a little mix of patchouli oil and ass is what they smelled like.
Kavino
What are the no fails? Give me. Give me any more. So comedy club hitboxing.
Rich Davis
All right, I have a question. And yes, this is a tie in. Because I am thinking, like, you know, events. No failed dates, things like that. What? Out of all the four major sports or event, like, which is the most fun for the casual, like, date? Non fan. Just trying to have a good time.
Sam
Baseball.
Rich Davis
Is it baseball?
Sam
I think so.
Rich Davis
Baseball, if you're courtside. Basketball. That's a. That's a statement.
Kavino
Well, I think the sport I like the least is the most fun life. Basketball, hockey.
Rich Davis
Oh, really?
Sam
You.
Rich Davis
You stand by that because you are.
Sam
Not paying attention to what's going on.
Kavino
I go to one LA Kings game a year with my buddy Scott. He has tickets and he brings me once a year. Thank you, Scott. And I'll go. And in that moment I'm like, yeah, this is awesome. And then I go home and I'm like, all right, I'm not really watching hockey, but I'll. I'll go once a year. And I think basketball's fun. To be honest, the sports I like the least are the ones I have fun going in person. I'm. NFL's my number one, I think other than like once a year, like guys trip. Going to an NFL game live, you miss so much that you don't see.
Rich Davis
It'S better on tv.
Kavino
Football, such a great television sport.
Rich Davis
You're just there for the atmosphere.
Kavino
You're there for the fun and hanging with your buds or your family, your kids or something. I think football live stinks.
Rich Davis
I wonder if there is.
Sam
I disagree with that.
Wes
Sitting around waiting for the action to start.
Rich Davis
Seats, you know?
Covino
Yeah.
Kavino
Even when you have. Even when you have good seats, like you're not seeing any. Football is such a great TV sport. Baseball, I love Danny, but there are games. Let's say it's eight one Padres in the second inning and you're there and you're a Dodgers fan. You're not like aggravated, like it's. I don't know.
Rich Davis
Yeah, it's not baseball. I don't think it's baseball because I don't know, kids could get bored. Like kids.
Sam
A lot of first dates and a lot of young couples swear by Dodger game here in Los Angeles as a date night. I would say NBA, but going to a Lakers game and Dodgers are catching up really quick here as far as prices go. But you know, a lot of us were out priced a long time ago when it came to the NBA.
Rich Davis
For the record, if you're new to Covino and Rich, we're huge baseball fans, so we love going to baseball games. I'm just saying, is it an automatic where everybody's having a great time? I'm gonna have a good time. I like baseball.
Sam
Yeah. Seventh inning stretch the food there. You don't have to pay attention every minute. There's conversations going on between young couples. So I think baseball is a really good date night.
Rich Davis
Any other automatics?
Kavino
Is there anything. Do you feel like bowling?
Rich Davis
I do, Yeah. I thought of that. I think bowling, you can't have fun.
Kavino
I said these are things. The question is if you take your kids and family or a date to these places. If they don't have fun, they're the problem.
Rich Davis
Yes.
Kavino
Bowling. Like, if you can't have fun, Especially.
Rich Davis
Now, these bowling alleys, when we would go. You had an overhead project when we were kids. I'm saying overhead projector. You're bowling next to some old guy named Bart smoking cigars. Right. It was horrible. Like, the balls were terrible. You go there now there's a laser light shoot. It's automatic scoring.
Wes
They got those early 2000s. Like, digital little cartoons are like, you made a spare. Hooray.
Dan Patrick Show Announcer
Yeah.
Rich Davis
It's so much fun.
Kavino
How could you get a turkey.
Rich Davis
By the way? So if you want to add to the list, and the reason we bring this up is Rich went to Hibachi last night, and his only complaint is that he smells like ass. So are there other ones you want to add to the list? Let us know.
Kavino
My only complaint, you end up smelling a little bit when you leave. Trying to think of. You went the other day with your girlfriend. You guys went to, like, a melting pot. Like. Yeah, like some type of fondue place.
Wes
Anything like that. Or, like, Korean barbecue or Japanese barbecue. It is fun because you get the sake going, you get the beer going. Grill your own meats. You're around a table, friends, and that food itself, like, you. You leave feeling very satisfied, but not, like, weighed down and bogged down. It's like meats, proteins, and vegetables, you.
Rich Davis
Know, it's not for. Though. It's perfect because there's someone here because we're in America, and someone can explain to you what to do.
Covino
Right?
Rich Davis
I was in Japan. I'm a world traveler.
Kavino
This guy's Carmen San Diego.
Rich Davis
Look at me, man. I'm fancy. Where in the world is. I went to Japan, you know, and you don't know what's going on. So you're like. I'm pointing. Like, I guess we'll have this and that. They brought out all these things, and I'm like, you know, you're like, all right, what do we do with it? There's a whole process, and you're sitting there looking around. No one wants to help you.
Kavino
I wish I could see you struggling.
Rich Davis
It was not an audience. Automatic fun time. In fact, I was with my girlfriend. It was miserable because, like, we didn't know what to do. Like, do we boil these things? What do we pour first? Like, what's the process here? No one's willing to help you.
Kavino
What am I doing?
Rich Davis
Yeah, it was. It was a nightmare.
Kavino
I'll throw one more, and then we'll move on. I Want to talk some NFL? Would you say some type of topgolf type of place is a no fail, like just hitting a bucket of balls and having some, you know, food and drinks? Is topgolf a place where even the most even like, you don't have to be a golfer to hit some balls and have fun, though.
Rich Davis
I agree with that. My only suggestion is this. I went recently in Idaho. There's one in Idaho and is. My girlfriend's from Idaho.
Kavino
Golf found its way to Idaho.
Rich Davis
You say, yeah, they have a topgolf. But, dude, no one told me, like, you don't need a jacket. It's gonna be nice and warm. I was freezing my ass off the whole time, dude.
Kavino
So that's Mr. Gilmore's jacket.
Rich Davis
Yeah. Dress warm. It's winter. But anyway, thank you, guys. Add to the list everything at Covinoenrich Fox sports Radio. We're getting feedback on the live chat @COVINOENRICH FSR on YouTube, and we're gonna take your calls to move on.
Kavino
I knew I forgot one. So thank you to the feedback. What's up to Red Goose and Mercer, man. And Wes and Chuck and nature boy. Just said the one I was thinking of. Karaoke will reveal the true personality of a date. She may not be a good singer.
Rich Davis
You're really putting somebody on the spot.
Kavino
She may not be a good singer. But then if putting her on the spot, if she's like, no, I won't do it, then you're like, all right. Then you're sort of on a date with someone that's not a stick in the mud.
Rich Davis
But, yeah, but you get a guy like me, you take it way too serious. I think I'm like.
Kavino
I think Chris Cornell.
Rich Davis
I should be the lead singer of Godsmack or something, you know? And, like, I take the fun out of it.
Sam
Performance anxiety involved.
Kavino
Starts doing air guitar during the. During the little interludes.
Rich Davis
I get out there, I'm like. And I wonder every day, I'm like, slow down there.
Sam
American Idol gets his own guitar out of his trunk.
Rich Davis
Like, who does this guy think he is?
Kavino
Like, did I get the. Am I going to Hollywood? Who do we got? Danny G on the phone?
Sam
Let's check in with Andres in Seattle.
Kavino
Andres, what's up, man?
Rich Davis
Hey, what's going on, Andres?
Kavino
You gotta be pretty slick with a name like Andres. What's up?
Rich Davis
Hey, why was Colorago like, real slick to my advantage?
Kavino
What's up, bud?
Rich Davis
So I just wanted to chime in on the adults napping in the afternoon.
Kavino
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Rich Davis
So I wake up at three in the morning, so when you guys come in the afternoon, I'm already on my way home. So I take like an hour and a half nap before the family comes home. So that way I'm, I have the energy to deal with everything. Yeah, that's what happened to me yesterday because this isn't our normal schedule. So we're up at 5am on the west and by the time we finished our, our Patreon show and everything else. Yeah, I passed out the second I got home. I brought it up because that's not normally what happens.
Kavino
We're not complaining, just explaining when we fill in for Dan. And I know most of the affiliates on the east coast, but on the west coast here it's early and when you're not used to it, it feels weird when like mid afternoon, you're like.
Rich Davis
I think I want to sleep like a little schoolboy. Remember in kindergarten you'd have a little mat you'd bring into class and, and you fall asleep for a little bit.
Kavino
Yeah, Kavina brings it here.
Rich Davis
My little, what are you called? Rag mats. Yeah, little. Yeah, grandma's rag rug.
Sam
Last hour we talked about the Tyson Mayweather fight. Yeah, Johnny in Minnesota wants to talk about that.
Kavino
Johnny, you watching this or what?
Rich Davis
Hey, no, I, I'm probably not going to be able to watch it, but I just want Mike Tyson to punch somebody in the face real hard.
Kavino
I think that's what we all want.
Rich Davis
He's not going to catch.
Kavino
We wanted that with Jake Paul, we want that with Mayweather. I just, I know what you're saying. You want him to take like all his energy into one ferocious, like you want him to harness 1988 Mike Tyson in one punch. It just. Floyd Mayweather, I just don't think it could happen.
Rich Davis
Beat Everybody. He fought 50 and, oh, you think he's going to lose to a 59 year old mike Tyson? Not happening.
Kavino
That would be pretty crazy.
Rich Davis
I did my best to catch him, but I couldn't. He was too elusive.
Kavino
Yeah, well, you can catch a chicken, you could catch Grease.
Rich Davis
No, it's not happening.
Kavino
All right, your thoughts at Covino and Rich? Now, I do want to talk about Tyree Kill without any true knowledge, and I say that with confidence because, guys, I have no true knowledge of where he goes next. Neither do you, neither does anyone. Unless you're, Unless Adam Schefter is on the case already this morning and he's. Yeah, unless I go see Madame Ruby with Pee Wee Herman the Alamo. Unless you, you know, you Think you know what you don't. What do you think is a good landing spot for Tyree Kill? It seems like Minnesota, Miami's clearinghouse. Tyree kills out and you wonder what team is short that one big receiver that can make all the difference. And I have not heard anyone say the team that I think.
Rich Davis
You think he goes back to the Chiefs.
Kavino
Well, that's, that's one of the.
Sam
That would be a good option.
Kavino
That's one of the spectators people do that.
Rich Davis
Teams do that a lot. Familiarity, bring him back. They know what he brings.
Kavino
Well, didn't they do that with Kareem Hunt as well? Like, I mean, like there's been a couple of guys that have come and gone.
Sam
Right. I think I know where you're going to go with this. Rich to go meet up with his old coach.
Kavino
He could meet up with his old coach.
Covino
Yeah.
Sam
Who's now the OC for the Chargers.
Kavino
He could become a target, a very well needed target for the Chargers. Come out here to sunny Southern California.
Rich Davis
Mentioned the Raiders already.
Kavino
The Raiders. I mean when you have Brock Bowers, when you have Ashton Genty, when you know you're going to draft the hell out of lineman Danny G, you're like, I feel like your whole draft and free agency should all be focus online. You add a one like that, a Tyree Kill, the Raiders all of a sudden look a little scary.
Sam
You got to wonder what the money is going to need to be. He's coming off a major season ending left knee surgery which happened in late September.
Kavino
So is he a bargain or is he still going to. Is there still going to be a demand? What are we thinking?
Rich Davis
Chuck Hansen says. Chuck Hansen, 1946, on the live chat at Covino Rich. FSR says the Giants with Dart and neighbors. Jackson Darts in Idaho says he'll be at home taking care of all of his kids.
Kavino
If Jackson. Imagine it's Jackson Dart Cam, scatter.
Covino
Boo.
Kavino
And then he's got Malik, neighbors Steelo.
Rich Davis
Saying Titans with their new Oiler makeovers, their new uniforms, new coach, new new get up. Maybe a new start for him there.
Kavino
Let me, let me throw this one in there. It's a team of aging stars and you know where I'm going because I can't have a football conversation without being a little bit of a homer. They got a little cap space. The 49ers. McCaffrey got through this year healthy. Purdy, I think while the Niners were banged up. Purdy I think had a big year stepping forward. I think Purdy in moments Were like, oh, wow, all right. He's. He's getting better every year.
Rich Davis
Yeah, he looks solid.
Kavino
Kittle is shooting to be back Week one.
Rich Davis
You look back, no complaints on Purdy.
Kavino
Last year, week one, not that I remember. Kittle wants to be ready even if it's week four. You got Kittle back in the mix. McCaffrey, you're going to get Fred Warner and Bosa and all your defensive stars back. A couple guys stepped up last year. You know, big Trent Williams is coming back for another year. Seems like it seems like the same teams in place. What were the 49ers missing last year? No offense to Juwan Jennings, I like him, but he's not a true number one. He's a great number two wide receiver.
Sam
But he couldn't stretch the field.
Kavino
And Ricky Pearsall was hurt a lot of the year. So if you added the 49ers lack of one. I know there's rumors that a reunion with Debo Samuel, but that might. I feel like you're just adding another aging guy to an already aging team. I don't know. You don't think a deep threat like Tyree Kill could, could work well with a Kyle Shanahan offense?
Rich Davis
Tyree Kill, for the record, 31 years old.
Sam
Yeah. About to be 32 at the start of March.
Kavino
Well, I don't. I don't know why you're not hearing any 49er rumblings. Maybe because the 49ers feel like they don't have the space, the cap space. Maybe they're thinking that type of guy. That type of guy doesn't fit into the Niners vibe.
Rich Davis
It'll also be his 11th year in the league, so it's just a matter of how healthy he is and how willing these teams are are to take a chance on that.
Sam
Your Niners had a little bit of noise with your roster last year. Rich with drive bys of the stadium at 100 miles an hour. I mean, so you've had some players where maybe your front office and your coaching staff doesn't want any more headaches.
Kavino
I mean, think about it. The Niners are supposed to lock up Brandon Iuk and that never happened. He's going to be somewhere else. So the Niners could. That. That money's off the books now, so.
Sam
Hey, but Tyreek may play with a little bit of a chip on his shoulder coming back. And if he hasn't lost too much of a step where that's the thing, we're going to have to see how he is after, you know, he heals up.
Kavino
Is he still the Cheetah? I guess we'll see. Your thoughts?
Rich Davis
What's the I would like to see him personally, Danny G's Raiders. I think that would be cool.
Kavino
That would be a cool fit.
Rich Davis
That'd be a cool dude.
Sam
For all those years I had to watch him torch the Raiders. So I'm not going to complain if he's on the other side.
Rich Davis
You know what?
Kavino
Make your case here. Dan Patrick, DP Nation the Danets, Kavino and Rich filling in. Where do you think Tyree Kill makes the most sense? If it doesn't mean to make sense, I want to know from you. Where do you want him? Like what would make your football dreams come Dreams come true. We'll take your feedback next. More Covino and Rich right here on Fox Sports Radio.

Sam with the Led Zeppelin. Have you seen Becoming Led Zeppelin on Netflix?
Jacob Goldstein
No.
Rich Davis
Worth the watch.
Wes
Can I watch that with my ads? With the commercials?
Kavino
I.
Rich Davis
On second thought, you have commercials on your Netflix, so skip it. Sam, like a lower class of society. Yeah, man, I'll never watch your Netflix.
Kavino
Work a little harder.
Rich Davis
Sam's like, you want to come over and watch? I'm like, nope, nope, not at all.
Kavino
You know what? I'm embarrassed that I haven't watched yet. Not Love is Blind. I haven't started that. But rise of the 49ers. My dad's like that. My dad was disappointed. He's like, how have you not watched yet? He's like, that was your childhood Joe Montana and Jerry Rice.
Rich Davis
He goes, I gotta be honest, I'm a little disappointed.
Kavino
He said, it's fantastic. So I'm gonna watch that tonight with Tom Brady. Rise of the 49ers, the 2026AMC documentary narrated by TB12.
Rich Davis
Well, hey, you want to add to that experience? Have a nice drink. You want the vibe of a drink. That smooth, warming kick, especially on game day without the hangover. That's RK zero proof. World's first zero proof spirits with their patented warm molecule.
Kavino
Oh, same feel. Zero alcohol. All the cheer, none of the regret. Try it at RK0PROOF CALM. And you know what? Interestingly enough, one of the great sponsors for Dan Patrick, rk.
Covino
Right.
Kavino
Ties into something that Wes and Vegas hit us up with. We were talking about the no fails, like where to take someone and if they don't have fun, they're dud.
Rich Davis
We said, you know what? I had a. I just took a little break before and had an EP for me. And I thought of something else, too.
Kavino
We said, you know, hibachi. We said, a comedy club. We said, maybe like a topgolf type of place. Karaoke. What did you come up with?
Rich Davis
Well, well, we were also talking about the greatest of Mike's because Mike Tyson announced his fight.
Kavino
Yeah.
Rich Davis
With Floyd Mayweather. If you throw on Back to the Future because I feel like it's such a timeless classic that everybody can enjoy. I feel like that's an automatic. If you're sitting there in a Room. And you're like, you know, when's the last time you've seen it? Oh, it's been a few years. Or imagine if someone's never seen it. Oh, wait till you watch this. And they're not saying it's a great movie and they're not enjoying it. Man, there's something wrong with them. I think that's an automatic movie. Back to the future.
Sam
It's so good that movie theaters each year will play it as a retro show.
Rich Davis
If there's one theater that says, yeah, it was, I didn't like it then, I don't think we could be friends.
Kavino
I'll be honest. It's been argued as the closest thing to a quote, perfect movie.
Rich Davis
Even rotten potatoes.
Kavino
It doesn't need to be your favorite. But I. That's a great thing. I don't know. I know some people that aren't into things that other people like. There's people that are like Game of Thrones.
Covino
Hated it.
Kavino
Star Wars, Not a fan. Godfather, Meh. There's things that people don't like. I don't know if I've ever met someone that's like back to the Future. Hated it.
Rich Davis
Like never.
Kavino
I've never met someone. That's a good point.
Sam
But you said Godfather. Rest in peace, Robert Duvall.
Kavino
Yeah, Robert Duvall.
Rich Davis
Rest in peace, Robert Duvall. And rest in peace.
Sam
Jesse Jackson.
Rich Davis
Jesse Jackson passed away. I just saw that.
Kavino
Not the title together. The no fails. Like when you're hanging with friends or family. Wes goes, you know, it'd be hard for someone to go to Vegas and not have fun. And you know what? I thought about it, cuz I love Vegas. However, I read an interesting article and it ties into everything.
Rich Davis
Vegas could be overwhelming for the wrong people.
Kavino
It ties into Dan Patrick's sponsor, the non alcoholic drink. It ties into west saying Vegas. And it ties into this article I read out of the New York Post. Give me a second, I gotta find this right here.
Rich Davis
I don't believe you read it. I believe you just saw the headline and now.
Kavino
Actually, it wasn't out of the New York Post. It was out of social media. I've got no, it is an article though.
Sam
Already getting the details wrong.
Rich Davis
It's read it on a cereal box. He's not reading any news article.
Kavino
I read it in a meme, guys.
Sam
On the back of a shampoo bottle.
Rich Davis
Yeah, Rich read this on a billboard somewhere. He read a blurb. Yeah, he didn't read any article.
Kavino
Interestingly enough, because I love Las Vegas. Probably because I like gambling. Probably because I like partying and probably because I like good looking women and probably because I like all the things Vegas has. It's like a combination of, oh my God.
Rich Davis
Called the Green Door. That's what you like.
Kavino
That's not true at all. It's swingers club and I'm not a swinger. I don't know why you stay.
Rich Davis
Of all these, of all the people in the studio right now, we got the whole Cavino enriched crew. And for Dan Patrick, who's been to the Green Door in Vegas, we went.
Kavino
With a bunch of people. Oh, no, no, no.
Rich Davis
Don't we me. I've never been. Hey, have you ever been there?
Sam
No.
Rich Davis
Hey, Sam, you ever been there?
Wes
No.
Rich Davis
Which guy talks about it all the time and has been there?
Dan Patrick Show Announcer
Rich.
Kavino
I didn't participate in anything. Anyway, Vegas brings out all the smut, right? Vegas brings out all the vices. Gambling, drinking, partying. Get this, the headline reads, Las Vegas is dying and it's all because of Generation Z. And this is an interesting thought because I think Las Vegas, you think over the last decade or so a growing city. They just got a hockey team a few years ago, rumors of an NBA franchise. They got the Raiders, they got the A's moving to Las Vegas.
Rich Davis
So you're thinking they got the sphere, they got a new slogan.
Sam
Hello. They have the Golden Knights and the Aces who have both won championships.
Rich Davis
They went from what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas to what happens in Vegas only happens in Vegas. Like they're trying to make it way more family friendly.
Kavino
I think that's the key. And I'll tell you why Vegas is dying. I don't think it. How could it be dying when it's. When all this stuff is being added.
Rich Davis
Terry Feder better step his game up.
Kavino
They're saying Penn and Teller just don't bring it anymore. No, here's the, here's the story. Let me read this to you. Let me know your thoughts. Las Vegas, their economy. Las Vegas's economy runs on parties, gambling, bottle service, social media, photo shoots, and that overall social vibe. For decades, this formula has shaped Sin City into an iconic destination. That it is. But society is changing fast. Enter Generation Z. The younger kids, the 20 somethings, the college kids, the youngsters.
Rich Davis
I thought they were the weenies, the.
Kavino
Teens that are turning into their 20s, right? This generation prioritizes healthy eating, fitness, and when it comes to traveling, they want to do it on a low budget. But like out of the country. Like they rather backpack in like Slovenia.
Sam
And they want their parents to still.
Kavino
Pay for it and they want their parents to pay.
Rich Davis
Yeah, they're also broke.
Kavino
Generation not all, but generation Z also drinks. Get this now you could say, well, a lot of gender Z can't legally drink yet, but they've accounted for this. They drink 87% less alcohol than millennials though you might say, well, they're not legal drinking age. They've accounted that into it. And they're saying that the idea of getting trashed and drinking and partying to a younger kid isn't appealing. They view it get this as irresponsible.
Rich Davis
Well, I can't hate on them for being better than the previous generation. As far as health.
Kavino
The smartphone has replaced the lore of something like the Las Vegas Strip. Scrolling dominates everyday life. People still gam but now they do so on apps and from the leisure or you might say leisure of your own home.
Rich Davis
You notice too, everybody wants like a nice weed drink or like some sort of Kids are taking edibles. Mocktail.
Kavino
Can I have a mocktail? You know what's more popular than alcohol? Not more popular, but a growing trend.
Rich Davis
It's the mocktail rage.
Kavino
Less people are drinking and getting to get drunk. More people are having weed based, cannabis based drinks and mocktails. No alcohol. You go to a restaurant now you go to a fancy restaurant. I'm fat.
Rich Davis
That's they call California sober out here.
Kavino
On the west side, I'm fascinated by how many nice restaurants now on their sweet cocktail menu with like $20 drinks. They, they now a lot of them have a mocktail section where it's like, yeah, these are fancy drinks with no alcohol. People are sort of off the booze. So they're saying it's very tough for casinos. Maybe the city of Las Vegas with the sports franchises and the shows and.
Rich Davis
You know what else is probably taking part or causing this? There's a lot less younger people getting married. And if they are, they're probably like weenie guys who don't want to have like crazy bachelor parties in Vegas.
Kavino
They're saying very hard for casinos to convert visitors in a younger demo.
Sam
We have a son who is just out of college. And the reason he and his friends complain about going there because I know he's gone with his boys a couple of times. They don't like all the parking fees because they drive there from Southern California. And the taxes, they're like, oh, room, 50 bucks. And then after all the tourism taxes, it's $200.
Kavino
Listen, I love Vegas.
Rich Davis
Drinks are way expensive.
Kavino
I love Vegas, Danny. But our buddy Jamie in Boston Hit us up. And he said, you used to go to Vegas. And I don't. You don't want to sound like the old guy, but he's like, I used to go to Vegas. And even if you didn't want to stay at a sassy higher end place like the Cosmo or Bellagio, first time.
Rich Davis
I went there, I stayed at the Flamingo or something.
Kavino
You used to be able to, I'm gonna go to Vegas and pick your budget. You could be baller and stay at the Bellagio, you know, Cosmo Vidaran, you know, the Wynn or something.
Rich Davis
Go to Whiskey Peach.
Kavino
Or you could go to like Whiskey Peach, right? Or you go to Fremont Street. But guess what? Even those places now have like 10, $20 drinks minimum. So they're saying younger people have two priorities, health and not spending money. What is Vegas all about? Putting aside health and spending money. So it's a terrible equation for the younger generation in Vegas. There's just no, they're not simpatico.
Rich Davis
Well, you gotta pay timing for the Raiders and the Golden Knights and everybody else.
Kavino
I go to Vegas now. It's a little different. I'm a little bit more of a mature man. But when I was in my 20s, the age gen zers are now, I'd go to Vegas and my priority would be like, I'm gonna get trashed and gamble and go to like Spearmint Rhino. Kids now are like, yeah, that's too many calories and I don't want to spend money. So Vegas, I don't know what to tell you. I think maybe it becomes, Danny, a family destination with sports teams.
Rich Davis
They better start catering to older demographics.
Kavino
The smut and the gambling in Vegas is on the downfall.
Rich Davis
But that's probably why they've started to market it more family friendly.
Sam
And I don't think that, I don't think the vices are gonna go away rich. And it would take years for that to happen. If they wanted to go in that.
Kavino
Direction to become profitable.
Rich Davis
Oh, you forgot a major, major part of this. Unless you said it, I apologize. I was looking stuff up like the fact that younger generations are like gamble. I could do that from my phone.
Kavino
Yeah, I said that.
Rich Davis
Yeah. So like I'm sure that's a major, major part of it. The fact that they don't drink. Like it's a perfect storm. Not even Vegas suffers as a result.
Kavino
Not even like our, our pals of DraftKings. Not even all the gambling sites. Even like something like online game, like people play blackjack on their phone. Right. You could, you know, so like, yeah, interesting, right?
Rich Davis
So takes away from that just to.
Kavino
Tie into the Vegas story. Now coming up, we are going to talk a little more NFL and by the way, we got a lot of great feedback of where should Tyree Kill end up. And let me tell you, I think reading all the feedback, 25 of the 32 teams are named because there's no real indication of where this guy goes. Because you could wonder does he go.
Rich Davis
There'S no real indicator on how healthy.
Kavino
He is and or if you're, if.
Rich Davis
You'Re going to do this hypothetical, we have to say, you know, he's back to, he's, he's game ready.
Kavino
And it's also, Danny, a conversation of you got, he's the type of guy where you got to know like, where's his head at? Like, what's is Tyree Kill? Like, yo, I'm out to prove something. Is he like, I'm only going to a team ready now do I want to go somewhere because of a coach I like? Like, we don't even know where Tyreek heads is his head's at so or his health. So it's a really interesting release by the Dolphins. So we'll see where Tyreek ends up. Before you know it, we'll talk a little more NFL. Talk to Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan, we all owe an apology. We'll talk about that.
Rich Davis

I'm more of an elves fan. The Mexican Elvis.
Kavino

Right. He didn't like, he didn't officiate. Married to you.

You got married at like a little chapel in Las Vegas.
Rich Davis
He didn't do the ceremony. Now pronounce your husband and wife. So like it's inaccurate. I'm just making that clear, that's all. I mean, it's not much better.

You know, today we celebrate the birthday of One of the most legendary athletes of all time, definitely of our lifetime, Michael Jordan, celebrates a birthday today. And I had a thought about, like, there's some days where, like, you know, you get your little news alert. You know, Kavino and I do our little research for the shows, and you see these little, like, oh, what celebrities got a birthday today? There's like 50 celebrities that celebrate a birthday today. And other days there's nobody. So I wanted you to put some of these celebrities in the order of their impact, for in your mind, well.
Rich Davis
Michael Jordan has to be number one, but he's 63 years old. For those of you keeping score at.
Kavino
Home, I want to do this next. I want you to do it quickly. Little Covino power ranking of these celebritas. But I do think we owe Michael Jordan a big apology. Yesterday there was this narrative on social media that he was being weird or creepy. And we were the first to be like, yo, yo, context is everything. There was video where it looked like he was grabbing at the back of a kid's pants or shirt.
Rich Davis
Tyler Reddick's kid.
Kavino
Tyler Reddick's kid.
Rich Davis
Well, they were celebrating the big victory, the Daytona 500. He was the big winner over the weekend. His team won. And in celebration, you see him doing something, let's just say, interesting with a little boy, and unfortunately, that becomes a side story.
Kavino
Little boy. It sounds weird. His best friend's kid.
Rich Davis
It is a little boy, and he was doing something interesting. I could have did it more down the middle. I'm just explaining, but it turns out context matters. It wasn't a big deal.
Kavino
And, you know, I'll explain why context matters next. I think it just sounds weird when you say little boy. How do you explain it?
Rich Davis
He was a little boy. Did he have a mustache?
Kavino
You had a mustache as a little boy?

As a Jewish athlete, my identity is something I am proud of. But I also know what it feels like to be singled out for it. That's why this new commercial for the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate that aired during the big game really hit home. It's about showing up for someone when they're targeted, even if you don't have the perfect words. And sometimes standing next to someone is enough. And you can show support by sharing the Blue Square Square.

Hour 2 - No Fail Fun Places, Tyreek Hill Landing Spots
Date: February 17, 2026
Hosts: Covino & Rich (in for Dan Patrick, with the C&R crew)
This episode leans into two central threads:
There’s also lively banter around Gen Z’s effect on Las Vegas, comedy about the best type of hibachi chef, and reflections on Michael Jordan’s birthday and social media narratives.
Origin: Rich Davis recounts a hibachi family dinner and wonders why everyone seems to have fun at such places—unless maybe they are the problem.
For newcomers: This episode is a great introduction to Covino & Rich’s blend of sports, cultural humor, and lively debates, all in the spirit of fun and community. If you didn’t listen, you’ll still walk away knowing this crew’s heart-pulse on sports, social events, and where America is (or isn’t) finding its fun.
