Final hour in this Monday, more of your phone calls. Best and worst of the weekend. What you saw that you liked, you didn't like. Our starting lineup. We always have five on the floor. Marvin. Big day, Marvin. Those hands look a little bit bigger today.
Marvin
I'm feeling myself today.
Paul Pabst
Are you? Paulie's here, Fritzi, Seaton and yours truly in the back room guys as well. The final four betting lines. Illinois by one and a half against Yukon. Michigan by one and a half over Arizona. Arizona and Michigan have the best title odds tied at plus 175. All right. 8773 DP show email address dpdanpatrick.com Twitter handle @dpshow Good morning if you're watching on Peacock. Thank you for downloading the app and our radio affiliates around the country numbering over 400 cities that carry this sometime previously award nominated program. You know the oh, by the ways the Arizona win against Purdue in Michigan over Tennessee. I mean the Michigan game against Tennessee, you know that's about almost 35 points. You're not supposed to be winning games at this time of the year in this tournament by that many points. But Arizona against Purdue. Purdue was leading at halftime. Arizona had lost five straight times in the Elite Eight, but my Wildcats, who I picked to win it all, that's a different Wildcat team. Oh, you're going to applaud for Arizona, Marvin.
Marvin
Oh look at you guys. They did it. All those lottery picks and you finally got to a Final Four.
Paul Pabst
Wow, look at that. Yeah. Yeah, look who's being pretty cocky here.
Marvin
I would have been cocky if you kind of lost yesterday. You would have because we've been to the final four.
Paul Pabst
We.
Marvin
2001. Gilbert Arenas was their best player. That's how long ago they got to the Final Four.
Paul Pabst
Okay.
Dan Patrick
All right,
Marvin
go ahead, D.P.
Todd Fritz
i'm sorry.
Paul Pabst
No, no, go ahead. You want to trash Arizona, go ahead.
Marvin
No, they're playing well for once.
Todd Fritz
Yeah.
Paul Pabst
Was. Was it karma in any way that North Carolina blew a 19 point lead and Duke blew a 19 point lead? Yes.
Paulie
Paulie, that list you read out yesterday of people who went to Duke, you know, lots of first round draft picks. Some guy on the North Carolina fan site tweeted that out seconds after Duke lost that game and it just took over.
Paul Pabst
Yeah. Well, look, it's Jason Tatum. It's Zion Cooper. Flag Paola, Ben Caro, Cam Boozer, con can Apple, RJ Barrett, Cam Reddish, Marvin Bagley Jr. The third. It's a lot of talent and a whole lot more names can be added to that list as well. You know, it's tricky when you. When you think, okay, you have that player, it's the other players you have around that player, and you have them for five or six months and that's it there. It's just something to be said for that person, those players that coach. When you have players who have been there a little bit longer, makes it easier for the freshmen coming in to not say, I have to do everything at Duke. These freshmen come in knowing, I got to do everything. And Cam Boozer, by all accounts, lived up to what the billing was. Caden played pretty good basketball as well. But, you know, Cam's gonna be probably the second or third pick in the draft. In fact, I have the odds here. This, according to DraftKings, AJ Debanza is the overwhelming favorite. Then Darren Peterson, and then it's Cam Boozer. This is the first pick Overall. Darius Acuff Jr. The third. And then Caleb Wilson. Those are the names there. Yes.
Paulie
Paul, this might be the best feeling draft in a long time as far as names. You know, this is really good for the NBA.
Paul Pabst
Yeah, but you just don't know. You know, all these drafts that I remember watching or covering, and you go, well, that guy's going to be good. And that guy's going to be good, and that guy's going to be good. We know these names, but we've been hearing about them when they were in high school. Cameron Boozer, his Dad, an NBA player, Acuff Jr. Came out of nowhere, I think for a lot of, for people nationally, if you follow, you know, high school basketball or the AAU circuit, then you knew about him. Darren Peterson. DeBance said, we, of course had heard about him because the amount of money and he was going to byu. But you look at that list and you say, how many are going to be all Stars? Two, maybe three. Because the, you know, you look at these drafts and you'll go, oh, my God, how did that guy miss? Or who would have thought that guy? I mean, the middle of the first round and you're seeing a lot of these guys and you're like, you know, Kawhi Leonard, you know nobody. You probably got up to get a beer. When they were announcing Kawhi Leonard to the Spurs. You're like, okay. Although it's the spurs. And you say, what do they know that everybody else doesn't know? That's the way there are certain teams in any sport where I go, what do they know? They know something. The Ravens always did that. But I go, oh, boy, that guy's gonna be great. Then there's certain franchises where you go, that poor guy's cursed. All right, see what's poll question for the final hour of this program.
Todd Fritz
Yeah, you do hate that when you
Paul Pabst
see somebody get drafted or traders and, oh, no, this poor kid. Yeah, that's over now. Yeah, good luck, buddy. We got up there a couple of them right now. Duke Yukon game right now. 81% of the audience say that Duke blew it over, Yukon won it. And are you superstitious, a little stitious or not stitious at all? 64% of the audience are a little stitious. Okay. I think most people are a little stitious. Yeah. But I do understand that where you're watching, all of a sudden your team goes on a run and then you don't want to get up, you don't want to move, or you're standing and you don't want to sit down. I get it. I could see that. I mean, Todd gets all of his little Bronco tchotchkes out. He's got his, you know, Zubaz pants on and Bronco jersey.
Marvin
I've done that with clothes where things
Paul Pabst
aren't going well, all of a sudden the hats off or I'm changing shirts
Marvin
or not wearing anything Broncos related, playing well. And I'm just like. And I'm really dick. I'm dictated by what's going on. And I think what I'm Wearing is affecting it.
Paul Pabst
There was a moment in the Elite Eight game with Iowa and Illinois. There was a buzzer that caused an 11 minute delay in the Iowa, Illinois game. Kevin Harlan on the call for the buzzer. Surely there's a way to unplug this. Surely there's a horn expert somewhere in this building. Well, this is where the players.
Sponsor Announcer
You have got to mentally stay locked in.
Paul Pabst
This has got to be weird. It is a weird time on the
Sponsor Announcer
floor and it's unexpected, but you've got
Paul Pabst
to stay loose and you've got to be ready that when we finally do turn this thing off, that we can get back to playing at a high level. That's right. Cover your ears, hide your eyes. The horn will not shut. Thank you, Kevin. Courtesy of tbs. Oh, okay. Surely there must be a horn expert that could shut that off. Keith in Charlotte, expert in this building. Hey, Keith. Hey, Dan.
Todd Fritz
Just want to give you my best of the weekend and worst of the weekend. Best of the weekend, you come beating Duke in dramatic fashion. Love seeing Duke or Unc lose. It's just great here in North Carolina sometimes for me. And then worst of the weekend, Hornets losing back to back games. Moving from possibly being seventh, maybe into the sixth seed. Now we're back in 10th. But with that said, Dan, I have a pie to the face bet for you guys. I believe in the Hornets just like I believed in the Panthers, even though Seaton never paid up for that bet.
Paul Pabst
But neither here to there.
Todd Fritz
I believe not only are they going to get the birth, they're going to win a series. Man, they're playing great basketball right now. And Marv, I stayed in the kitchen for you on that Yukon game.
Paul Pabst
Anybody want a piece of this? That the Hornets make the playoffs and they win a series, but that doesn't count a play in game, Keith.
Todd Fritz
Yeah, agreed. Yeah, no, they got to win a full series.
Paul Pabst
All right. I love the Hornets. I'm not going to bet against them. I don't know if anybody else wants a piece of your Hornets. They are my Hornets. Is Lamelo Ball creating a signature shot like his jumper. Now, have you seen where it's, you know, he goes off one leg, kicks the other one out. It's like, you know, a Dirk Nowitzki, but he can do it moving forward. Dirk always did it when he was moving back and then put the leg up, did the Karate Kid Danielson move. But Lamelo's got this shot that he's working on now and it goes in. Yes.
Marvin
Marv, man, you really love the Hornets. To know enough about lamelo Ball's jump shot.
Paulie
You should have saw our faces.
Sponsor Announcer
What do you want this new jump shot, right?
Paul Pabst
Yeah. Okay. Like you. Okay. You all right, Dan? I'm not. I'm not. It's weird when I'll go. I'm gonna watch this. Yes. Boy.
Paulie
It's more like his follow through. He ends up on one leg with one leg out.
Paul Pabst
Yeah.
Paulie
It's a bit of his odd follow through.
Paul Pabst
Yeah. Yeah. But he makes it. He's a volume shooter.
Marvin
Is that what we're calling it?
Paul Pabst
Yeah, I guess it was a ball
Marvin
hog in my day.
Paul Pabst
Yeah. But he, you know, he finds Con Knipple. He does, he does.
Marvin
Former Duke legend, by the way.
Paul Pabst
Yeah. Con Knippel. Matt in la. Hi, Matt. What's on your mind today? Hey, good morning.
Todd Fritz
You guys are awesome. I used to think that Marvin for the show should actually. That you guys should have a most improved award that and Marvin earned that and I thought it should actually be named after him. And then last week there was the. The Anthony Davis center gate. And I didn't know if that. That would change anything. And then secondly, also last week, Fritzi non verbally got Dan's attention. And when after he shared what he wanted to share, Dan immediately went to commercial after that. So I have a suggestion for Fritzi. When. When dad turns to you and says what? Fritzi. Fritz. He should just say never mind and. And move on.
Paul Pabst
No, Todd can't do that. He's always going to have something to say. That's not. That's not going to go well for Todd anyway. That's what Todd.
Marvin
That's a good thought.
Paul Pabst
But no, that's where you say, never mind.
Marvin
I can't even do that.
Paul Pabst
You can't act that out as a pretend thing. He's trying to muzzle me. This week on coast to Coast Tuesday, the Knicks and the Rockets Trailblazers and the Clippers. NBC and Peacock, NBA playoffs are coming to NBC and Peacock starting April 19th. Reggie Miller will join us coming up tomorrow. And longtime caddy Bones Mackay used to be with Phil Mickelson. He's going to join us as well.
Marvin
Yeah, he is.
Paul Pabst
All right. Thank you.
Marvin
Never mind.
Paul Pabst
Thank you, Todd. Tim in Minnesota. Hi, Tim. What do you have for me?
Todd Fritz
Hello, Dan. Hello, Dan. It's long time, second time, six feet. Pre summer. 235 right now.
Paul Pabst
Okay.
Todd Fritz
It's. It's hard to say how much Tiger means to me. You know, I just want to see him doing good. Dan, I don't think, you know, he's not going to get it anymore and stuff. But just so briefly. As a kid, when I watched my dad or my grandpa watch golf, it was a bunch of old white guys. And all you ever heard was that these records can never be broken. Well, what am I watching for then, if these guys that are so good now can't do it, can't compete. If Happy Gilmore made golf fun before that Tiger made it not boring. And I don't think I would have had an interest in golf like I would have without him. And, you know, I think, like you said that picture, I got a little choked up, as your first caller did. But I just want to say that picture scares me. And I hope someone lets him know that he's more valuable than a golf record. I just hope he finds something to care about besides golf.
Paul Pabst
Well, I don't think that he can care about golf the way he once did. And that can be a problem. That's his identity. He wants to be Tiger. Tiger goes out and plays. You know, you got the red shirt on Sunday. Tiger can't be Tiger. And you, you know, that's part of you. You lose that and you can't get it back because he can't be healthy enough. And at his age, you know, when people say, oh, Tiger's swinging the club, I want to know if you can walk. That's the hard part. You got to be able to walk for four days, five days, if you do, you know, practice round. And he won't be able to do that. And then you have to be consistent enough to put together two good rounds so you make the cut. I don't know if he can do that. So now what do you do? He used to hit balls. He'd work out, then he'd hit balls, then he'd work out, he'd run. He, you know, was training, like a Navy SEAL with Navy seals. Now what do you do? You know, Michael Jordan's able to play golf. Michael's older than tiger. He's playing 36 holes a day. He still has his brand. He's making over $100 million a year. Like, Tiger doesn't have that. You know, there's no, I gotta have that because it's Tiger. People want Michael Jordan. They want Air Jordan. They still want that. Even those who don't even play basketball. But Tiger doesn't. You know, there's no golf clubs. You know, he has, like, Bridgestone golf balls. I mean, Tigers sort of lost the identity. Yeah, pulling.
Paulie
And Tiger plays the one sport that you can compete in after age 40, or even maybe age 50, if you play basketball, it's over before 40 or football. There's an anomaly guy, but, you know, he can get it back for one weekend or one. One round at 50, 47, 48 years old. That doesn't happen in other sports.
Paul Pabst
Yeah, normally you can play golf the rest of your life. I mean, Tiger might be able to do that, but he would need a cart. And you can't have a cart on the PGA Tour. But, yeah, losing that identity. And it happens with athletes all the time, but not really in golf because you're able to play. And then you go to the Senior Tour. Usually when you're 40 to 50, it's a drought for a lot of these guys. Gary Woodland. I'm trying to think maybe Justin Rose, who's over 40, and they end up winning a tournament. It doesn't happen. I mean, these guys. These guys are young and they are hitting the ball a mile. It's just different now. And these guys who are 40 to 50 can't keep up with that. Not on a consistent basis. But you're watching somebody lose his identity. And I remember when there was an article and it was about Joe Montana, and he was losing his identity. Wright Thompson. Of course, it was Wright Thompson. He wrote this profile of Joe Montana who. Who lost the identity of. He's the greatest quarterback of all time, because he's not. And when I read it, Wright Thompson was right on it. I mean, he hit it. It was like, oh, my God, he's right. And it was sad because Joe is not considered. I mean, people will have Patrick Mahomes ahead of him and, you know, certainly Tom Brady. But what Wright Thompson was saying is you lose that identity. Like, Mike Tyson was the baddest man on the planet until he got knocked down. He got knocked out, then he wasn't. Who was the mma Ronda Rousey. Invincible until Holly Holm dropped her. And then you lose that. But here's Tiger. He's lost it, and he. And he can't get it back. And I just can't imagine what you do during the day because you're in so much pain. I've taken meds. Not proud to say it, but my 60th birthday, I was battling, you know, an autoimmune. Well, still battling it. I took Vicodin to play golf, and I was. I was embarrassed that I. But I invited all these people for my 60th birthday at pebble beach, and I said, I can't play. And my friend goes, you. You gotta play. I said, I can't. I'm in too much pain. He goes, here's Vicodin. I'd never taken Vicodin before. I ended up playing and I felt like, like ashamed that I was like, damn, I don't want to play that bad. I mean, and you could easily keep doing it because you'd be like, hey, I can play. Tiger has the access, has the money. He just can't play anymore. It's a shame. Right in front of us. All right, we'll take a break. More phone calls coming up. Let's see. Oh, we'll hear from Braylon Mullins. We have him talking about his game winner. We'll bring that to you. Coming up next, be sure to catch

You ever wonder how far an EV can take you on one charge? Well, most people drive about 40 miles a day, which means you can do all daily stuff no problem. Darren Ravel, who follows these things sports memorabilia expert on what things are worth, says that the basketball that Braylon Mullins made the game winner with is probably worth maybe upwards of $350,000. Gonna be worth a whole lot more if UConn ends up winning a national championship. But here is the hero on his game winner. I mean, yeah, it's still loss of words, still process and all like what just happened. But I mean, I think that last possession it was just. We were trying to foul the worst free throw shooter on the floor and Silas ended up deflecting the pass to the other end of the floor. And it's just I had the ball and I know AK had just hit one, so I threw him at four seconds left and man, he just threw the ball back to me. I knew I had to put one up. So man, I'm just happy that was, that was the one that went down tonight. It was pure too. That's where you look, you know, you want to build a jump shot. That's it. And it's not lucky. This kid averaged 37 a game in high school last year. Shot 47%, I think from three point range in high school, but he was ready to shoot. It wasn't one of those, I think when he threw, I don't know if he thought he was going to get it back, but he was ready if the pass came back to him. But he found his spot and that was a, that was a jumper. That, that's beautiful looking. Mike in la. Hi, Mike. What's on your mind today?
Todd Fritz
Hey, thanks, Dan. Thanks, fellows. You were talking about jump shots earlier. Dan let the guys know. Now, they may have seen this because of our age, but they may not have. The most unusual jump shot I've ever seen was Jamal Wilkes.
Paul Pabst
Yeah, Silk Wilkes would start it on his left side and then he would bring it over to his right side. And you know, it was smooth, but it was, you know, Durant has a little bit on the left side over to the right. Caitlin Clark, a Little to the left side, over to the right. Sometimes you get into these habits when you're trying to shoot. And, and this is where I would caution parents, when your kids want to shoot threes and they're not strong enough to do it, they will get into a bad habit of off their hip trying to heave it up. You want to have them at least understand how to, you know, shoot a shot where it resembles a shot that you can, you know, replicate years to come. But, you know, you should be like seven feet out from the basket and just shooting, you know, follow through from there and then move like 10ft and then move 12ft and then move to the foul line and then you can just kind of, you know, it's a, it's like a swing thought for a golfer. You just want it to be automatic. That that's how you shoot. Yes, Morph.
Marvin
As happy as I am about Braylon Mullins, if I'm an Indiana Hoochers fan, I'm furious. Wait, how does this guy leave this state?
Paul Pabst
Or Purdue or Notre Dame? Yeah, yeah, it's just different. But, you know, he, his dad wanted him, his son, to be coached by Dan Hurley. Let's see. Ryan in Wisconsin. Hi, Ryan. What's on your mind today?
Todd Fritz
Hey, guys. 5 11, 192 Got a stat of the day. But real quick, as far as the NBA in Vegas, I just wanted to throw in my hat in the ring. I would go with the blue chips that of the day. All right, number, number one seeds in the men's NCAA tournament prior to yesterday when leading by 15 points or more were 134. And oh,
Paul Pabst
Stat of the day brought to you by Panini America. By the way, Terrace Reed Jr. 87 points and 54 rebounds. Wow. Sixth player in NCAA tournament history with at least 80 and 50 going into the final Four. So he joined Zach Edie, Artist Gilmore at Jacksonville, Elvin Hayes, Lenny Chapel at Wake Forest and Seattle's Elgin Baylor. Pretty impressive. Pretty impressive company. Oh, what was I going to say? What did he bring up? Bear Marvin, that last call, I had something I was going to add to that. Let me see. You remember. No, I don't remember. All right. Okay. Johnny in Pittsburgh. Hi, Johnny. What's on your mind today?
Todd Fritz
Dan Dennett, a 6382 60. I got the best and the worst. First of all, congratulations to Marvin on the Yukon win. You were talking about that feeling. Closest I ever had was probably to. That was the. The Red Sox in 04 or Syracuse in 03. Speaking of Syracuse, the best of the worst. I don't know if you can call it the weekend, but old GMAC Jerry McNamara going back to Syracuse to hopefully get a once proud program that is in the dumps back where it's going again. Hopefully he has better luck than Ewing and some other people went back to his alma mater. The worst of the weekend. I'm glad baseball's back, but the worst of the weekend is my Pittsburgh Pirates will not have a home home opener for the ninth straight year, beating their previous record of 12 years in the 90s in the early 2000s. So we get our home opener Friday, but nine straight years without a home home home opener. So.
Paul Pabst
So you're saying their first game of the season, they haven't had that correct.
Todd Fritz
Nine straight years. They've been on the road to start the year.
Paul Pabst
Yeah. Do you think that maybe somebody just forgot to do it for nine consecutive years or are they scheduling Pittsburgh like it's the homecoming game for a football team? Like who are we going to open up with? The Pirates? Okay. Thank you. Johnny Fresh in Milwaukee. Welcome back, Fresh.
Todd Fritz
What up, DP and Dan X. I got a two pointer for you. First of all, my greatest moment in sports. How about when Sean Taylor dropped Brian Moore in the Pro Bowl? That's when football was football.
Paul Pabst
Wait a minute. Your favorite sports moment is the Pro Bowl? Fresh.
Todd Fritz
That not just the Pro bowl, but that hit, that that's like signifies the last Pro bowl, the real Pro bowl for me.
Paul Pabst
Wait, didn't he hit a punter?
Todd Fritz
Didn't he have the ball?
Paul Pabst
Thank you, Fresh. Yeah, Sean Taylor wasn't playing. I mean, playing around. I mean he was playing, but you had the ball. He was going to hit you. Jay in Delaware. Hi Jay.
Todd Fritz
Adp. Happy Monday. Just best and worst. My best being the elite eight. I've got three of my four teams still left for the final four, so that's all good. And my worst of the weekend? Definitely Tiger. My mom came over and watched TGL with me last last week and she comes over every Monday and Tuesday to watch shows with me. But we watched TGL and with Kidner ruining it for him on Monday night, I thought Indian Tiger came in. Too bad. Oh, this is cool to dread seeing him swing a club. And forever while watching him swing a club, I was like, oh, I don't know if I still got it. They're talking about him gearing up for possibly for the Masters and just watching him warm up and watching him swing the club for the first time even it's just, you know, virtual it watching he was real. The stiffest I've ever seen him.
Paul Pabst
Yeah.
Todd Fritz
And after this accident, I don't. I don't know if he's gonna make it back to the Masters at all.
Paul Pabst
Well, I wonder if you're the Masters. I don't know if Tiger was going to play. Bones Makai, the analyst former caddy, analyst, friend BC will join us tomorrow. But he's gotten so big, so muscular. But I wonder if the Masters, after everything that's happened, let's say he could play, would they prefer that he didn't play?
Todd Fritz
Now?
Paul Pabst
I don't know if you can prevent that. He's a former champ. Former champs are allowed in the field no matter how you play. But I don't know if he was getting ready. Just looking at those swings on tgl, it didn't look like he was ready to play. I mean, it's. You gotta. And you know, this is a ramp up. Tiger used to ramp up for the Masters even when he was Tiger, when he was healthy, when he was the best player in the world. But he might play something, but he would play on a course that would be. There would be shots, he'd be hitting at the Masters, but just to stay competitive. But I, I just can't imagine that he was going to try to play. And I don't. You know, once again, I saw the picture. You might have seen it on social media where his private jet was there in Augusta, that maybe he was going, you know, to try to play a practice round. But I didn't see anything other than that. Scott in New York. Hi, Scott. What's on your mind?
Todd Fritz
Hey, Dan, how are we doing?
Paul Pabst
Good, sir.
Todd Fritz
A couple, couple points of interest. First of all, when it comes to shooting form, I think we all agree the best shooting form ever is my man, Pistol Pete Maravich. He had a pure jumper. And you know, back in the day, of course, with three point show at lsu, you know, records would never be smashed. Another thing regarding another point. And C may be interested in this. There's a band in England I'm a big music fan called the Dead Dads Club and I guess they're getting pretty big. Yeah, one of the players and C Maino's band, Fontains D.C. i guess one of the guitars and the touring band or that he tours with a band, he's not a true member and they're getting pretty big right now in England.
Paul Pabst
All right. Seaton, can you follow up on the Dead Dad's Club? I'm looking at it right now. Okay, that's amazing. All right. Oh, I know what I was. This was suggested to me. The NBA franchise in Vegas. How about the Las Vegas Strips or the Las Vegas Strip?
Paulie
Embrace it.
Paul Pabst
Well, I don't know. I. I didn't respond. And the guy that. He goes. I'm very proud of that because I didn't respond with a thumbs up emoji. I just went. And then I did the clap emoji because I was like, okay. Because I'm. Hey, I'm very proud of that. The Las Vegas Strip. Yes, Paul.
Paulie
The home fans, though. Let's go strip.
Sponsor Announcer
Let's go strip.
Paulie
You hesitate.
Paul Pabst
I know, I know. You could have strip steak night. Yes. Satan, what do you think? Is that a blue? That's okay.
Paulie
Yeah.
Paul Pabst
All right. Maybe you have shirts and skins night.
Sponsor Announcer
Yeah.
Paul Pabst
Let's go strip. Nick in Texas. Hi, Nick. What's on your mind today?
Todd Fritz
Hey, Dan. I think the obvious name should be the Las Vegas Rat Pack.
Paul Pabst
The Rat Pack. I'm gonna. I'm gonna give you a little. A little clap there.
Paulie
Courtesy.
Paul Pabst
Yeah, that's a courtesy clap. Yes. Marvin.
Marvin
What about the Las Vegas Pack? Maybe just take the rat out of there. I don't know.
Paul Pabst
I like Las Vegas Strip better than that. Gus in Vegas joining us. Hi, Gus. What's on your mind?
Todd Fritz
Hey, Dan. Hi. It's good to talk to you this morning. I wanted to. I really enjoyed meeting you guys out here in Vegas at the F1 race at the fountain Blue. Had a ball meeting all of you guys. And in the meantime, I just had a name for the Las Vegas team. I think the Las Vegas Atomic or the Las Vegas Atomics would be great due to our link to the. To the test site right here by Vegas.
Paul Pabst
The. But that's Area 51.
Todd Fritz
Well, it's a test site actually, Dan, where they did all the nuclear testing.
Paul Pabst
Oh, yeah. I don't. Given the whole nuclear topic going on right now, I don't know if you want to do that. Todd, you haven't come up with any names, have you? Or did you? They were just not good.
Marvin
I think they were not good.
Paul Pabst
That's what they were. We took a pass on them. Okay.
Todd Fritz
All right.
Paul Pabst
Yeah. So Vegas Strip, maybe chicken strips.
Marvin
There's all kinds of things.
Paul Pabst
Yeah, of course you can. Thank you. Let's take a break. Last call for phone calls. What we learn what's in store tomorrow. We'll return right after this.

Accept Discovery in a little place like this? I don't think so. Jennifer.
Paul Pabst
Oh yeah, huh?
Dan Patrick
Discover is accepted where I like to shop.
Paul Pabst
Come on baby, get with the times.
Dan Patrick
Right? So we shouldn't get the parachute pants.
Paul Pabst
These are making a comeback, I think. Discover is accepted at 99 of places that take credit cards nationwide, based on the February 2025 Nielsen report. Last call for phone calls. What we learn what's in store tomorrow. How about this day in sports history? Paul Got a couple for you.
Paulie
Dan, Right on cue. George Gervin of The spurs in 1980 won his third consecutive scoring title.

That was awesome.
Paulie
The Iceman golfer John Daly left the tour for a brief hiatus. Get into too many details and in 2004, NFL owners approved a modified version of the instant replay system for five years that started replay in the NFL.

Let's see Keith Smart hit a jumper, giving Indiana the win against Syracuse. 7473 Baseline jumper by by Keith Smart. They win the national championship. Tim in Memphis. Good morning Tim. What's on your mind today?
Todd Fritz
Good morning. DP had a chance to go to Cincinnati last week to see the opening game between the Reds and the Red Sox. What an absolute amazing time with the parade downtown. Don't understand why the MLB stopped the Reds or Reds don't open the season anymore. Got to see Saturday's game as well and watched CD Buckner completely make a fool of himself. ABS is just awesome. The crowd reactions are totally amazing. Really, really into it. And lastly, DP had a chance to visit your hometown, Mason, Ohio. What a Lovely place. Thanks for taking my call.
Paul Pabst
All right. Did you see the statue when you were there, Tim?
Todd Fritz
Yes. Yes. And also, Joey Vado donated a really beautiful clock right there in the center square that plays take me out to the ball game on the top of every hour. So.
Paul Pabst
Yeah, I saw that. Joey giving back to the Cincinnati Reds. Thank you for the phone call there. Let me see, women's basketball. UCLA, UConn, Michigan, Texas, TCU, South Carolina. Those are all the games today and tonight.
Paulie
No, UCLA and UConn are in. Okay, then you got two more games for the last two spots.
Paul Pabst
Oh, okay. So that's to get to the final Four. Yeah. Oh, I kind of got caught up Monday session. Who was the woman at tcu? Where's the glasses, the goggles?
Paulie
Oh, Miles, she's great. Olivia, transfer from Notre Dame. Olivia Miles.
Paul Pabst
She's great. Lauren Betts at ucla. Looking forward to seeing her play. All right, let's see. Jim in Michigan. Hi, Jim.
Todd Fritz
Hey, thanks for taking my call again, Dan. I wanted to comment on the Michigan, Tennessee debacle that I watched on. On Sunday. That was quite a clinic that Michigan put on. And one of the commentators, it might have been Barkley during the halftime was talking about the issue of waiting for the best shot versus a hurry up shot. I've never heard that analyzed that way, but it was really something to watch. When you've got a 20, 25 point point spread, you've got the time to play the right shot. And I thought that was very interesting analysis.
Paul Pabst
All right, thank you, Jim. Nick and Irvine. Hi, Nick.
Todd Fritz
Hey, Dan. I. I talked to Dick Emberg, I talked to Vin Scully on the air, I talked to Jick Hearn on the air, and I put you right up there, bro. You're right on my Mount Rushmore of guys I've talked to on the air. You're. You're. You're a legend. And it's always an honor to talk to you. I experienced as a single man the vegas of the 70s and 80s. So as an ode to that bygone era, I will pose the following names, and they all are Vegas, not Las Vegas. I mean, you know, to be honest, the Vegas hookers and coke, the Vegas Money lines, and the last one, the Vegas Seagulls, as an ode to Benny Siegel, which was back in the day. Those are the people who founded it. So those.
Paul Pabst
Thank you, Nick. Yes, Paulie.
Paulie
I'm gonna go on a limb here and say those won't be considered.
Paul Pabst
Yeah. Again, it's my opinion, ladies and gentlemen, your hookers and Coke.
Paulie
Some people will show up every night.
Marvin
Are you all ready for this?
Paul Pabst
Sean in Daytona Beach. Hi, Sean.
Todd Fritz
Dan.
Paul Pabst
Long time. Long time.
Todd Fritz
Congratulations, Marvin. Congratulations to everyone on the new Meat Friday setup. Can't wait to see what Dylan puts out Friday. You are setting me up on the T for the Vegas name. Can't believe everyone has missed this. It's the Vegas players. The players club. Play on, play up.
Paul Pabst
Thank you, Fritz. He's still bothered by the Vegas Rat Pack. I can't do that.
Marvin
Rainmakers.
Paul Pabst
No, the Vegas rain. No, no, no. Trip in Vegas. Hi, Trip.
Todd Fritz
Good afternoon. Good morning, Dan. Always good to speak with y'. All. Favorite sports moment. And a question for the room. Famous sports moment. 17th hole, 86 masters. Nicholas with the pose and Vern Lindquist going, maybe. Yes, sir. And then the question for the room would be, does Marvin. I think it's unanimous. Does Marvin drink Fine noons? Because they come in a slender can, and he can actually hold them.
Paul Pabst
Wow. You were having a good day.
Marvin
I mean, I was pitching a perfect.
Paul Pabst
I mean, you almost had a perfect show today. You almost did.
Marvin
Always somebody bring me back to.
Paul Pabst
I know. Got to bring you back down. Bring back down to earth.
Marvin
Oh, yes. But, yes.
Todd Fritz
Yes.
Paul Pabst
Thank you, Tripp. That was Tripp taking a shot at you not saying Seaton. Would you give us final results of the poll question? Yep. An overwhelming part of the audience say that Duke lost that game and UConn didn't win it. And are you superstitious, a little stitious or not Stitches at all. Most 65% of the audience are a little stitious, followed by superstitious. Okay. It was a big day for us today because we unveiled our new grills courtesy of Rec Tech and very excited. Honey, I can't wait for. I even said the. Dylan, I don't know if I can wait till Friday. We might have to have a meet Thursday here. Every. Every grill gets over 550 degrees, and you have some grills that go up to 1250 degrees. And we're very, very happy to have this partnership with Rec Tech. And once I announced the Traeger partnership was ending, I got a call that day, in fact, during the show, with CEO of Rec Tech, saying, let us know we're in. And they lived up to it, followed up and sent us some grills, and we are ready to go. So final two years of the program, we will be taking Rec Tech on the road. I think we're going to be taking Rec Tech to Pittsburgh for the draft.
Paulie
Huge meat community.
Paul Pabst
Might as well let's go around the room, see if we learned anything on the program. Todd, did you learn anything today?
Marvin
I did.
Paul Pabst
Don't call it some miracle. Heave. That game winner by UConn's Braylon Mullins
Marvin
was a legitimate shot for him.
Paul Pabst
Seaton, what'd you learn today? New grill partner. Let's go. Yeah, it's a grill made by grillers. Marvin.
Marvin
Seth Greenberg said Illinois has a lot of.
Paul Pabst
I know. With a V. I know he said it. And then I go, whoa, wait a minute here. And then he goes, no, with a V. Viches these guys from the Balkans. I don't. Does he say that on espn or maybe he was just saying it on our show.
Marvin
Jayla Rose said it, and people thought he was saying something else, too.
Paul Pabst
Oh, well, no, I think he was saying something else.
Marvin
You think so? I thought.
Paul Pabst
Because it was Stojakovic that hit the shot.
Marvin
Correct.
Todd Fritz
And he said,
Paul Pabst
I don't know. I team Reggie Miller tomorrow, longtime caddy, now analyst for NBC Golf, Bones MacKay will join us as well. Have a great day, everybody. It's tournament time, but it's Miller time.
