Brady Quinn
Do we really?
Levar Arrington
So the Canadian men's hockey team will drop the puck coming up here in a short time from now. I believe about 10 minutes from now.
Brady Quinn
But the big news.
Levar Arrington
The big news is Sidney Crosby will not be on the ice. Oh, no. Sidney Crosby will not play in the semifinals. He suffered a lower body injury last game. And so no Sid the kid for Canada as they get ready to try and advance to the gold medal game, which I know NBC is really, really hoping ends up being Canada and the U.S. coming up on Sunday. But it looks like Sidney Crosby not going to be on the ice for the Canadians today. And if they advance, who knows what the status is for? And now you gotta wonder, what does this do to the last portion of the season when it comes to the Penguins, who were an overachieving team this year? Crosby's already up there in years, and the fact that he's injured enough that he wouldn't play in this game feels a little bit troubling for the extent of the injury, especially with how tough hockey players are and the stuff they go through. That he's not going to be able to give it a go in this game might say a lot about the injury itself.
Dan Patrick
Well said coming from a lifelong Pittsburgh Penguins fan.
Levar Arrington
Oh, come on.
Dan Patrick
By the way, speed skating's on the Olympics right now, in case anyone wants to check that out.
Brady Quinn
You should always want to check out speed skate.
Levar Arrington
Yeah, well, again.
Dan Patrick
Again. Femke. Coke. How you pronounce it? She's number one. Again, no big. No big deal. Although Vars favorite judder. Leer.
Brady Quinn
Dam.
Dan Patrick
Is that you pronounce?
Brady Quinn
I don't know anyone's name.
Dan Patrick
Yep.
Brady Quinn
I can't even see their faces, to be honest.
Dan Patrick
The Netherlands seems to always be at the top of the board there for that sport. I also noticed something, too. You know, after they get done, sometimes the women will, like, unzip their thing.
Levar Arrington
Yep.
Dan Patrick
Some of them have, like, taken a second guess about that. Like, now they're not doing that, I think, because it'd be tough to compare to some of the other competitors.
Levar Arrington
Well, so why give it away for free, you know? Dang. Like, you know what I'm saying?
Brady Quinn
What you talking about?
Levar Arrington
Oh, man. Olympics are.
Dan Patrick
You know what? That. That's actually a great question. Why Would you give away for free? It's probably why Darren, Pat Peterson, the outstanding freshman at Kansas, maybe just asked to sit out of the game this past week.
Levar Arrington
By the way, I, I love the, I love the approach. So Darren Peterson is projected to be the number one pick in the NBA draft, guys, a stud out of Kansas. He was a five star recruit, came in, you know, he dropped 23 points
Dan Patrick
in the first half or so.
Levar Arrington
Almost great. Outstanding. The problem is he's got these soft tissue injuries that keep popping up. Then there was cramping that popped up and then there was a legitimate ankle role mixed in there. But he hasn't played a whole lot for the Jayhawks. And there's some speculation that maybe he's kind of saving himself for the draft. And so you've got people saying, well, that's a bad look. And you know, it's not a, you know, this is not, if I was an NBA gm, you know, I would look at this and have second thoughts about whether or not I would want to take this guy and want him on my team. And I'm kind of torn on this because I can understand, look, you want the guy to go out there and compete at a high level, you want him to do all these things, but he's also probably good enough to not need to go to college and go to the NBA. And if his heart's not in it and he is focused on the future, I, I, I get the concerns about it, but there's some players who are different that maybe don't need to go through the same thing other players do to be able to compete at a higher level. And so he's getting knocked by a lot of people left and right. But I still find it hard to believe that if he's there on the board and you're picking number one in the draft next year, you're going to pass. Because he pulled himself out of a game due to a cramp issue in some regular season game against whoever Kansas was playing at the time. Find that hard.
Dan Patrick
What do you think?
Brady Quinn
If you have a cramp issue,
Dan Patrick
why
Brady Quinn
are you pulling yourself out of a game? Shouldn't your medical staff be pulling you out of the game?
Levar Arrington
Well, he hit a three almost recently.
Brady Quinn
Okay.
Dan Patrick
And then turned around and said it to Bill Self.
Levar Arrington
Said to Bill Self. Right. He literally turned right around and tapped Bill Self and said, hey, coach, put his finger up like, come get me. He just buried it through.
Brady Quinn
Okay. But because it was a cramping issue.
Levar Arrington
Oh, who knows?
Brady Quinn
Okay. So if it's not A cramping issue, then okay, I understand there being some blowback. If this is a, indeed a, A situation where he is finishing up an opportunity, pushing through the pain. You know, some people are actually turned into heroes off of staying in the game while hurt and while injured. Yeah, he completed the three pointer. Get me out. Like, I got you another three before I, I came out, but this cramp is bad. My question is, is there legitimacy to the cramp? If there's legitimacy to the issue, I have no problem with him pulling himself out. If somebody is not aware of the cramping issue, if they were aware of the cramping issue and they left him in there and he's like, okay, I can't take the pain of the cramp anymore. Pull me out, I have no problem with that. If you're saying there's some other underlying reason he got his points and now he's ready to get out of the game, then I could understand why they would actually, you know, have a, I guess an issue with what he did.
Dan Patrick
All right, how.
Brady Quinn
I don't think it would be a big issue, but hey, who knows? I guess we have a big issue.
Dan Patrick
Can I. Can I give you what I believe to be a solution and this doesn't just stand for, for men's college basketball. I think they need to do away with the one and done. We've gotten now to a point where it just, it feels like if someone's capable of going into the NBA from high school, they should have the opportunity to do so and they can go start that journey if, if they care about education and maybe they get compensated as part of that, they can go to college for a couple of years. But I feel like if you're holding yourself out a bit, if that is indeed what is taking place or preserving yourself, then it's kind of making my point. Like you're not giving it everything you have at this level because you feel like you've already gotten to a point where you know what you're going to be at the next level. At least he's assuming he'll be a first round pick, first overall pick, and maybe that's how he's being, you know, led or guided by his team. But my general point is if we do away with the one and done, I think we actually alleviate some of the issues right now in college basketball where you have some players who, it's a facade. They go to school roughly half a year to essentially go through the motions before they then can go on and play in the NBA. Now, they can go pro out of high school as it is now, right? They can go to the G League, they can go overseas. But there's more money in college, which is one of the reasons why we're kind of doing this. And what I'm trying to do is find a way of protecting against what's happening in college sports because of the way NIL has impacted everything in college sports. It's pushed away from the educational component. We've gotten purely all about money. And part of the issue that I think football is seeing, and really all of college athletics is seeing right now is because of one or two sports, meaning men's college basketball and college football. There are being precedents being set. There's players who are taking the NCAA to court and winning based on eligibility rules, etc. And it's a very flimsy system. Look at Trinidad Chambers, for example, who didn't want his years at a JUCO to count as part of his eligibility. And so they appeal. They appeal. They appeal until they find a judge who happens to be an Ole Miss alum who's getting an autograph from him after the. The appeal where he ends up awarding Trinity Chalmers the additional year of eligibility.
Levar Arrington
Wait, was he really. Do you really get an autograph?
Brady Quinn
Good for him.
Dan Patrick
Allegedly.
Levar Arrington
Sweet. Good. So good.
Dan Patrick
You're. You're. What I'm saying, though, is part of the issue with college sports right now is what's happening in college basketball, men's college basketball specifically, is also impacting the eligibility rules and some of what's happening in college football. Right. If you've got a pro player who comes back from the NBA and ends up coming back to play in college basketball, let's say that there's a world where that happens. You don't think an NFL player who maybe only makes it two or three years tries to come back and do that, too? I mean, they'll press and they'll keep doing until they find a judge or they find, you know, a court that will allow them to do so. And it sounds crazy, but I think if you look at this, I would say do away with all of the. The one and done or three years removed from high school for even college football. And it sounds nuts, but. But hear me out. I don't think there's going to be any kids that can go from high school to go play in the NFL right away. And so it might take a little bit away from that, but what it's going to preserve is at least for the kids who come back for the following year. Like, let's say Jeremiah Smith, after a year at Ohio State, we all look and say he probably could have went and got drafted. Well, all right. Like, he's probably the only one. And anyone else who goes and takes that path, that's your path. But your eligibility is over. Like, once you leave and you go to that level, it's done, it's over. You can't come back because there's no restrictions of coming into it. If you just do away with the whole three years removed from high school. And right now, I'd say this, if there was a concern about injury for some of the players. Do you know the average age of an Indiana football player from this past season's team? 23.23.4 years. You know what the average age of the NFL was last year?
Brady Quinn
Like 23?
Dan Patrick
No, it's a little older. It's 26.
Brady Quinn
26.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, but, but as soon as guys like Aaron Rodgers or people like that retire, it's going to go right back down to 17.
Brady Quinn
Yeah, I thought it been like 23, 24. Because if you're taking the average. Most college players enter into the league at like 21, 22.
Levar Arrington
Yeah, I, I think.
Dan Patrick
No, no, no, no, not most. That, that, that's changed a lot. Ever since they've implemented an il, players are actually, they're. They've seen the. Is into the draft now because of nil. It's actually kept guys in school longer.
Levar Arrington
So.
Dan Patrick
So the general point is that if the average age of college football is getting older and even though you've still got a decent amount of young players in the NFL because that's more of a byproduct of, you know, if you're not a superstar, guys are being cut and moved on from. There's no middle class. So you've got some rookies who come in that are 22, 23, 24, and they're, they've proven themselves and you got the rest where if it doesn't, if they don't catch on in a year or two, they're out by year three. Average career length, three years in the NFL. So the, the point is that it's not like it's even a risk either necessarily from injury if you implemented something like this.
Levar Arrington
Yeah, I think that's.
Dan Patrick
But, but like, but like, why are you making a kid go to college for half a year where they're really not going to class and they're playing a sport to make some money before they can go on to the NBA? They just need to go back to letting them go to high school if they want.
Levar Arrington
I think they're concerned that. And people are going to say, well, you know, some of these guys aren't ready. And it's like, well, if you run the risk, then you lose your eligibility, etc. Etc. Well, is that choice. I know. And, and then it's going to turn into, well, is that fair? If they were given bad advice? Because it always, that conversation always comes up. I would say just turn it into a reality show. You think you're good enough to go to the NBA? Get on the reality show for a second.
Dan Patrick
Hold on for a second. And Lavar knows this. How many kids are getting bad advice now in college to go to the portal and transfer somewhere else?
Brady Quinn
Go, go to the local jailhouses, go, go to the penitentiaries and, and the youth centers, the youth homes, and ask them, how much bad advice did you get? Right. Oh, that's why you're here, right? That's why you got three hots in the cot. So I'm just saying you don't get, you don't get to live behind the barrier of. I didn't know. Oh, I'm sorry. I got bad advice. Like, I mean, the bottom line is, is if you're in that position where you can make that type of a decision, then if you need to err on the side of caution, do so. You're, if you're that good, then you should be that much better the year after that, the year after that, and some, some few years after that before you touch your prime of maybe what your, your ceiling is on your potential.
Levar Arrington
I do wonder how many players took the path of going straight to the NBA and upon further review, that was, that was an awful choice. Like their careers just never took off the way it could have had. They had that one stop gap to, to the NBA in college. You know, whether it was one year,
Dan Patrick
whatever, but how much is one year really going to make a difference? And in all seriousness, like, look at Kobe, look at LeBron, look at Kevin Garnett. Kevin Garnett. I mean, there, there are plenty of examples. And like I sit there and just look at it and go, I understand what you're saying, but you can't make decisions to save everyone.
Levar Arrington
Oh, no, I agree. But do you think, do you think Cooper Flag benefited at all from the one year he had at Duke?
Dan Patrick
I don't know. I actually, I would argue that because the NBA game is so similar from college to the NBA now, whereas I would have said 2025 years ago, the physicality of the NBA, right? How, how brutal they were.
Brady Quinn
They were beating rookies to death.
Dan Patrick
They were that.
Brady Quinn
Exactly.
Dan Patrick
And so if you, if you weren't like bulky or carried enough, you know, weight on you or muscle mass, it could be a problem. Not anymore. I mean, I, like, I don't, I don't view that as the case anymore. It's a much more spread out, skilled game. So I would actually say it's probably in the best interest of Cooper Flag getting an additional year of professional basketball where he's not going to be capped or limited by whatever they're trying to do at the college level and he can start that process sooner. I would actually say you took away from him playing the NBA.
Brady Quinn
I would say that for quarterbacks, wide receivers, cornerbacks and safeties, I would say the same exact thing. The game has changed so much in football and the physicality has been, you know, taken out of so much of it that a quarterback could think about going to the pros out of high school. I mean, in theory, I mean, I'm not saying mentally that they would be ready, but physically, from the physical part, if you had somebody who was like these, these holdbacks and reclassification kids, a kid is like 19, 20 going into their freshman year of college, they could potentially go play. Jeremiah Smith could have played in the NFL his freshman year of college. He could have played in the NFL and he could have started for a team his freshman year.
Levar Arrington
I.
Brady Quinn
That he had in college.
Dan Patrick
These are rare exceptions, right? It's not gonna happen as much in football. But I still think, like, here's the thing is one of the things that people are going to love about Jeremiah Smith is the fact that he is still so young. Like, you don't think there's a player like him where they look at and go fresh. Leonard Fournette, for example. Perfect example. Leonard Fournette from his freshman year at lsu. Everyone said that's an NFL running back and then he had to basically wait the next two years to get there. And we've seen players sit out. Like, I, I get concerned and I know they're making enough money now in nil where it kind of prevents this. But there's going to come a point in time too, where guys do exactly what Darren Peterson's doing and they don't, you know, they, they're already doing it now. They opt out of the rest of the season if things aren't going well for their team so they can prepare for the draft. So they make sure they don't get injured.
Brady Quinn
I hate to say it, but. Why wouldn't you? I hate to say it.
Levar Arrington
That's. And that's.
Brady Quinn
But if your team stinks like, like this year with Penn State, right, If I'm, I mean, Nick and Katron were going for the records and they got, they got them. But, or even if I'm, I mean, look at what happened to Drew. Drew wasn't having a good year. The offense was not serving his, his skill set properly and perfectly. He goes down a gutter and ends up hurting himself. Hurting himself. Hurting his draft stock even more. I'd opt out. I'm sorry, I. And I would advise you, you can't.
Levar Arrington
What?
Brady Quinn
You're going to go to the pinstripe ball. You might need to opt out. You're too big of a name. You got too much potential and go get yourself ready for, for the combine. Get yourself ready for the draft. There's no reason for you. There's nothing more for you to prove here. You're not fighting to get your team into the playoffs. You're not. So wrap it up. Sorry. Love my teammates, love that. But if we're talking business, why would you not opt out of the rest of the season? Sounds horrible. Maybe. Doesn't sound like it's, it's the, the right thing to do. Maybe you're letting your fans down, your. Your classmates down. I get it. You're letting your coaching staff down. You might even be letting your teammates down. I get all that. But to what end? Where Drew Aller injured himself the way that he did and had to get surgery to, to repair what it is. I just, you know, I think that the risk versus reward of continuing to play a season, whether it's basketball or football, when your team is out of contention to, to try to compete for a national title, I gotta, I gotta wrap it up. Unless I'm already at a school where that doesn't exist, then that's, that's, that's a different. Maybe a different mindset. But if I'm out of power four, that can compete for a national title and they're out of contention for that and I'm the top player, why would you not think about opting out?
Dan Patrick
Yeah, I think my intent with this whole conversation too is just to get people thinking about the fact that we, we have lost the educational component, we've lost the developmental component in college sports, and, and I understand it's been in an effort to catch up college athletics, in particular, the main revenue drivers in football and, and men's basketball to compensate these young people for what they deserve. But I, I also feel like it can't all be just about money. And if you force this sort of thought to it, where you make them have to be a part of an educational component if they so choose to go into college athletics and not just, you know, sit there and say and look and someone's going to say, well, they could just go for a year and still leave afterwards. Now maybe we figure out different, you know, different ways of structuring this, but that to me is part of the issue is what's happening in men's basketball is creating precedent for, you know, college football and, and other sports too. And, and it's an apples and oranges comparison. So again, I, you know, we can talk about Peterson's decision if it is legitimate or not, but that's his choice. And it's hard to argue otherwise. Like to your point, Lavar, when he's got that bright of a future, it's hard to argue otherwise. You know, if he is battling injury or something, he doesn't want to play through it. Like that's his choice. But it's a tough pill to swallow for Kansas fans. It's tough build a swallow for any other fans that fall in that same, same exact category.
Levar Arrington
Hey, I got a cramp in my foot last night. I still showed up this morning. You're welcome, everybody, you're welcome. Here I am, ready to go, ready to rock and roll.
Brady Quinn
What if you had got a cramp in your face?
Levar Arrington
That's rude. By the way. You remember when we were talking about you opting out?
Brady Quinn
You opt in.
Levar Arrington
Well, we're on YouTube now, so it might be a thought. Yeah, but we were talking about, you know, guys that are good enough to play good. I remember this. Remember when Master P was trying to get the NBA? Well, he was trying to get NBA. He thought he could play in the NBA because he like, he was a good player, but he thought he could play in the NBA. And there were some gm, I forget, God, it might have been a GM for the Raptors or somebody back in the day was like, they're like, yeah. So, you know, masterpiece says the, you know, says he could play in the NBA and he had like a tryout and some people looked at him and the GM said, well, his problem is like the same with 80% of our league. They all think they're better than they are. I just wonder how many of these college athletes are like, oh, I can go do that. I could, I could go straight from high school based on some advice they get. Next thing you know they're at the back end of the bench and you know. Or playing for a G league team, so.
Brady Quinn
Or nowhere at all.

So we have some good news and maybe some not so good news for the Philadelphia Eagles. Lane Johnson is back. Lane Johnson, the starting right tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles. He confirmed to ESPN he will be returning next season. It'll be his 14th with the team. And what's crazy about Lane Johnson with Philly is the splits with him in the lineup and out of the lineup. Last year they were 8 and 2 with Lane Johnson in the lineup, 3 and 5 without in his career. Since they drafted him, they're 13 games under.500 with him out of the lineup and 50 games over when he's in it. I don't you would take a really deep dive to go into all these circumstances and scenarios, but I can't feel like with that sort of sample size that's by accident. That guy's probably going to be a Hall of Famer.
Dan Patrick
Probably. He is.
Levar Arrington
And, and that's an incredible the numbers alone would tell the story of how important he is to that offense in that team.
Dan Patrick
What's interesting about it too is he, he's been, I mean again, the Pro bowl we view a little bit different, but he's either been a first team, second team all pro in at least what, five seasons. That I mean he's if that's the metric now that we're going off of, he's, he's been a part of that too. However, he's only started every single game, I think what, two, maybe three seasons throughout his entire 13 year career. So think about that too, though. Like he's still being voted on, you know, as, as part of those groups, not even playing entire seasons. He's been that dominant. He'll be a Hall of Famer. It's just a matter of, you know,
Levar Arrington
when you guys think they're going to trade A.J. brown.
Brady Quinn
I don't think so. Yeah, I don't think so.
Levar Arrington
How many times are we going to do this with him in Philly though?
Dan Patrick
Can I be honest with you? Probably until he turns 30. And that's when teams start looking and saying, well, he's getting too old, start to move. It's like Leonardo DiCaprio and dating, right? Like, dang around, 25. He just moves on. Like, that's kind of how teams are when guys turn 30. They're like, well, well, it's been nice knowing you.
Levar Arrington
Didn't he, didn't he date somebody older recently? By older, I mean like 26. 26.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. Yeah, he's. Yeah, well, he's get up there too.
Levar Arrington
So that is true. I just wonder with the AJ Brown stuff because there's been some speculation like our, you know, Howie Roseman came out and said, you know, earlier in the off season, you don't get rid of a guy like A.J. brown. You don't have a player like that and move on from him. Why would you want to make somebody else better by giving away a guy like A.J. brown? It's just, the problem is if it was just last year and you could look at last year and you could isolate that and say in a vacuum last year, we understand it was frustrating for everybody. The offense and offense couldn't get on track, so on and so forth. We get his frustration. We're all frustrated. Let's do it again. We, we got rid of our offensive coordinator and let's make this thing work again this year and get back on track. If it was that, I totally understand it. The problem is it was also the year before and the year before it was a different coordinator and they won the super bowl and he still wasn't happy. So maybe at a certain point you just go, dude, it's not, it's not the offensive coordinator. He's just doesn't like it. And whether he likes Jalen Hurts. And there was some poll that came out that Jalen Hurts is the, the most disliked NFL player who knows who took part in the poll but whether it's that, whether it's he doesn't like Nick Sirianni, the coach, whatever it is, are you really going to get rid of Nick Sirianni and Jalen hurts just to make A.J. brown happy. He's a great player, but I just, it feels like it's run its course. You've seen the same thing multiple years in a row. I think it's got more to do with him than it does his surroundings at this point.
Brady Quinn
Go.
Dan Patrick
Q Well, I think it's a number of things, you know, that he's frustrated by. The reality is he's still going to be a thousand yard receiver almost every single season, but you know, is he going to get as many targets and touches or it feels like when he initially got to Philly, you saw that. But the past couple of seasons hasn't necessarily been the case. But some of that's had to do with his health too. So I just, I don't think you can allow a player who and usually some of the most talented receivers, for some reason they always deal with this issue and I think it's just a byproduct of their job. You know, when you work in a job where you could do everything right every single play for 60, 65 snaps and you might not get the ball, like you might not be able to receive the portion of that that's a reward, it's frustrating, you know, and I understand for, you know, for linemen, for example, like every single play they're doing their job, they don't get the ball. But that's also not like how they were raised in the sport. Like when you're aligned and you've been alignment almost your entire career and that's, that's the only world you know and you are receiving that instant gratification of if you beat the guy's ass across from you like you know what you just did, you could smoke by a guy on a route if you don't get the ball outside of that db, no one knows and it really doesn't matter because the ball didn't go your way. So it's a frustrating position. And I think there's an element of his frustrations, whether it's with the play calling, whether it's with Jalen hurts and maybe where he's plateaued as a passer. Whatever the case may be, he's too talented to want to move on. I think you make things work until it becomes an absolute disaster. And I don't feel like we're there yet, you know, what we're accustomed to now is just a. I don't say, but, you know, just some. Some whining, complaining, contractually speaking, too. I mean, he's. He's on the Eagles roster with avoidable years out to 2033. So, I mean, he's. I don't. I don't. It wouldn't make sense to move on from him. He's got a dead cap number that's way too big. It's probably a number that other teams wouldn't want to take on this year.
Brady Quinn
He's.
Dan Patrick
He's a better trade target next season, ironically, when he'll be 30 years old in 2027. That would make more sense for them to either cut ties if this continues or trade him, because they'd still have him under contract for a few more years, but a much more digestible contract for other teams. I just think you at least have to get this another year before you start really questioning yourself about, all right, let's. Let's rebuild some of what's around Jalen hurts. And, and who knows what the conversation becomes around Jalen hurts. If that's the case.
Levar Arrington
So. Which would coincide with. He'd be staring at 30 that offseason, and so that's when you would.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, okay, I'll be 29 this upcoming season at 30, like I said. Which is. Which is why, if you look at the structure of the contract again, they put in the Leonardo DiCaprio clause. Oh, 30 years old. Time to move on.
Levar Arrington
And that's that.
Brady Quinn
I don't think there's too much to add to it.
Levar Arrington
Why not?
Brady Quinn
I. I think AJ Brown is too good.
Levar Arrington
You do a show with. With two great wide receivers. Come on, man.
Brady Quinn
You can never catch enough. Enough balls. You can never have enough opportunities to make plays. That's what they want. They always feel. They're open. They always feel as though that, that's. That's the situation. And A.J. brown clearly was uncomfortable with the idea that he wasn't getting the ball enough. And so listen, you're. You're never going to find a receiver that is comfortable with those circumstances. And if you do, that's probably not the type of guy you want. They're wired differently. We've. We've said it so many times. Wide receivers are wired different.
Levar Arrington
What are they?
Brady Quinn
They're divas.
Levar Arrington
What else?
Brady Quinn
They're. They're touched. They are touched. They are touched. And it's because it's cornerback. I'd say cornerback and. And receiver are the loneliest positions on, on the field. Your Success is not really based upon anything else other than what you do. Now granted, now AJ Would probably debate me and say, yeah, it's based upon the quarterback. I could do everything I need to do. But if the quarterback, and then yes, he's to a degree, that's correct. But what you're doing is purely based upon you. You don't, it's not the protection from the offensive lineman, it's not the running game. Sure, those things add the elements of slowing down, pass rushes or giving the quarterback time to deliver you the ball or see the field. But receiver and corner, you are on an island, especially if it's man, if it's zone, that's different. But man to man coverage, those guys feel as though they're lonely, you know, by themselves beings. And, and for what it's worth, they are so yeah, they're touched. But I don't, I don't think that looking at what A.J. brown has done is anything unique to what receivers have done in the history of football. They're, they're always going to complain there's never going to be enough balls and that's just the way they're, that's the way the, the great ones are wired.

But they don't want, they don't want the head on angle though. Like they just keep showing the USA on their back for some reason.
Levar Arrington
Ye.
Dan Patrick
Well, I just I know. The Netherlands. Just keep pumping them out, man.
Levar Arrington
Yeah.
Dan Patrick
My goodness.
Brady Quinn
I just don't understand why they don't see. Look, this lady right here, Miho Takaji.
Levar Arrington
What'd you just say?
Brady Quinn
Miho. That's her name. Mijo. Anyways, they showing her from the front. Show her like. There you go. Just get a front angle, man.
Dan Patrick
Oh, I see what you're doing there.
Brady Quinn
What? What do you mean it?
Dan Patrick
Well, just. We won't go there. We got some other stuff to get to.
Levar Arrington
Settle down just a little bit.
Brady Quinn
I'm just saying.
Levar Arrington

Brady Quinn
and jumped out on them.
Levar Arrington
But right now, Braden, you've got some. I mean, are these things really that bad? Do you want to set this up? Because I feel.
Dan Patrick
So we just started doing this segment called the worst thing you heard this week. We've got a couple. No idea what that was.
Brady Quinn
I mean, it's close to the worst thing I've heard all week.
Dan Patrick
That is from Dumb and Dumber. That is an awful sound. These are three of the worst things I've heard this week. Let's kick things off, though, with what some may thought weren't possible. But did you guys know you could actually get injured playing in a poker game?
Levar Arrington
So Justin Smith must catch a king. Take the board.
Dan Patrick
Can he escape? Back to back double ups by Justin
Levar Arrington
Smith growing out both times, man, to stay alive. And look how excited he is. Is his fans, his friends. Fix that tomorrow. Let's go. Wait a minute, Vince. Something's wrong out there. We'll operate it on it tomorrow with the million.
Dan Patrick
Something very wrong.
Levar Arrington
He's doubled over. He's. He's really in pain. Yeah, it snapped.
Brady Quinn
What the.
Dan Patrick
This is no bluff, let me tell you.
Levar Arrington
Poker injury. I told you. I told you. This is a injury sport. They say that poker is not a
Dan Patrick
sport, but this is like.
Levar Arrington
Well, this is pretty serious.
Dan Patrick
We're rushing to just inside.
Levar Arrington
I'm really hoping it'll be okay. I'm I mean, I'm able to play.
Brady Quinn
I'll play it out.
Levar Arrington
Tournament officials have stopped the clock. We're going to find out what's going on, and we'll be right back.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. That is a torn ac. Celebrating playing poker.
Levar Arrington
Oh, he got Grammatica.
Brady Quinn
Yeah, he did.
Levar Arrington
Oh, no.
Brady Quinn
Tore that thing right on up.
Dan Patrick
I just didn't think it was possible.
Brady Quinn
I could see that jumping up and down. I could see.
Dan Patrick
By the way, was there any question of whether or not he'd be able to continue to play poker? It's like, yeah. Do you sit on your butt, like, go fit? By the way, they're playing for, like, millions. I forget how much he had accumulated at that point. I think it was like 6 million or something.
Levar Arrington
Would you get it fixed if you were just a poker player?
Brady Quinn
Yeah, why not?
Levar Arrington
I mean, wasn't there the. The story in the Elway documentary?
Brady Quinn
Sometimes you can walk around with no, no AC.
Levar Arrington
I guess Elway had a torn ACL's entire career that they just braced it up and, you know, a couple of lung darts and next thing you know, he's ready to go back in there.
Dan Patrick
All right, let's move on to another clip. This is one of a frustrating men's college basketball coach. All we ask is that there's a fair game. That's what we ask. Okay? CJ o' Hara goes and gets an offensive rebound.
Levar Arrington
Their player dives at his legs.
Dan Patrick
CJ gets called for a foul.
Levar Arrington
I need Donnie at the league and
Dan Patrick
the new commissioner to explain to me the disparity in the officiating. That's what I need explained to me.
Levar Arrington
I need somebody to explain to me how.
Dan Patrick
Just. Just those two.
Levar Arrington
There's others that I have massive issues with.
Dan Patrick
Okay? Others that have match, including every time we touched him. There was a foul in the second half, the last play of the game, just to get the ball. They're grabbing us and holding us. Okay.
Levar Arrington
And again, I understand if you're not calling that.
Dan Patrick
That's fine. You had the exact same play at
Levar Arrington
both ends in the last play of the game.
Dan Patrick
The exact same play.
Brady Quinn
They clearly heard your radio show, Doug.
Levar Arrington
Oh. Oh, no.
Brady Quinn
They've. They have held angst. They have an axe to grind with you based off of your opinions and your takes on your radio show. You're a target, bro. Live with it.
Dan Patrick
You knew that this guy thought he
Brady Quinn
could coach and do radio all at the same time.
Dan Patrick
Foul.
Brady Quinn
What? Say something. Say something.
Levar Arrington
Say tech.
Brady Quinn
And I bet you it gets worse from here on out. After that rant, he had like, he sounded like he was doing a radio segment.
Levar Arrington
You think he was targeted?
Brady Quinn
Yeah.
Levar Arrington
That's unfortunate.
Brady Quinn
Stop targeting Doug.
Dan Patrick
We've got to save time. We have one more. This is our president. This is our President of the United States.
Levar Arrington
Oh, President Pena of Paraguay is here.
Dan Patrick
President. President.
Levar Arrington
Thank you very much. Young, handsome guy.
Dan Patrick
It's always nice to be young and handsome.
Levar Arrington
Doesn't mean we have to like you.
Dan Patrick
I don't like young, handsome men.
Levar Arrington
Women like men know how to have any interest.
Dan Patrick
Good.
Levar Arrington
That's right.
Dan Patrick
That's right. Thank you very much. You're doing a great job, too.
Levar Arrington
I second that, Mr. President.
Dan Patrick
I mean, I understand his desire to differentiate himself based on current events out there right now, but I just. Man.
Brady Quinn
How much younger, Mr. President? Yeah, we gotta be careful with that one these days. How much younger are you saying, Mr. President?
Dan Patrick
Cast your vote. You gotta pick one. You gotta pick one.
Brady Quinn
Oh, that's dope. We need to create a graphic and put that up. You gotta pick what? The worst thing I heard this week, that it's gotta be. It's got to be the president. I'm sorry that.
Levar Arrington
I mean, listen, but I think he makes a. I think he makes a valid point, though.
Brady Quinn
I think he just got lost in the moment, though. Like, he started really fantasizing about whatever that young woman looked like.
Levar Arrington
He got.
Brady Quinn
He got lost in it.
Levar Arrington
Yeah. I'm gonna go with the poker player tearing his ACL like that is. That's unacceptable.
Brady Quinn
Come on. What you got, Q?
Dan Patrick
I. I'd say the poker play. It's close though. The trump one's close. I would say the poker. I don't think that was possible.
Brady Quinn
I don't like it.
Dan Patrick
I didn't think you could looking little boys playing poker.
Brady Quinn
But I do like young, good looking.
Levar Arrington
Hey, girl. Dan Patrick show. Thanks for having us. Enjoy the weekend, everybody.
Brady Quinn
Have a good time. All right, bye.
