Final hour on this Thursday, Dan and the Dan Edge Dan Patrick Show. We head to Atlanta and we will be taking part in Celebrity Family Feud tomorrow afternoon versus the Rich Eisen Show. And we will not be doing our show. Therefore, we have a meet Friday. On Thursday. We have a lot of wings. Lemon pepper wings. Is that the famous lemon pepper wings at Magic City? Who was the player who opted out of the bubble? Lou Williams. Lou Williams. Lemon pepper Lou. Lemon pepper Lou. We have those Buffalo wings. We have teriyaki wings, a grilled chicken Caesar smoked shrimp cocktail. Who has it better than we do? Nobody. Mike Chico will join us here momentarily. The voice of NBC Sunday Night Football. The schedule release last night. We'll talk about the networks. They love the Kansas City Chiefs and the Commanders and of course the Dallas Cowboys. But also five prime time games for the Miami Dolphins. Things that make you go thunder at the Nuggets. And the Thunder are favored in this game to close this series out. They're favored by four and a half. And the Celtics tomorrow night will get two and a half. Well, the bookies will give them two and a half. It's not like they walk in, there's two and a half points up on the scoreboard. That'd be pretty cool. All of a sudden you'd walk in and you go, didn't Draymond Green get fined $50,000 because he talked about the point spread when that just recently got fine yesterday? $50,000. Yes, Paulie. He got caught yelling at the refs on the mics and referencing the point spread. So that's a double whammy. Celtics role roughed up the Knicks last night. We're not surprised at that. The Knicks up three games to two and the Timberwolves closed out the Warriors. The Timberwolves were favored by 11. They won by 11. Derek White had 34, including seven three pointers one 27 to 1. Oh 2. The Celtics tied a franchise playoff record with 22, made three pointers and Minnesota, here's a stat that you don't hear very often. They shot. Minnesota shot a franchise playoff record 62, almost 63% from the floor. But also I think they shot close to 68% from two point range. It's like nobody celebrates the two pointer anymore. But there's reason to celebrate. No, actually, Timberwolves, they shot almost 77% from 2 point range. That's the highest in any playoff game in the last 45 years. Stat of the Day brought to you by Panini America, the official trading cards of the Dan Patrick Show. Good morning. If you're watching on Peacock, our streaming service and our radio affiliates around the country. If you go back to that trade with Carl Anthony Towns, it felt like both fan bases in New York and Minnesota didn't like what they were getting or giving up. It's like, wait, we're giving up him and we're getting him. Julius Randall played really well in this playoff series. Dante D. Venzo has played pretty well. And Carl Anthony Towns has played really well. But Knicks head back home Friday night, game six. What could go wrong? MIKE Tirico NBC Sports Host Play by play, he's doing it all. He's got Sunday Night Football. He's got the Preakness. What doesn't Mike do? Mike joins us on the program. What don't you do, Mike? Do I have to sing Happy Birthday? That'd be nice. I'd like to hear. Let me. Happy birthday to you. What do you do for your. What do you do for your birthday? Do you have a cake? What kind of cake do you like? Special dinner. What's the DP birthday? I don't. You should ask my guys, the Danettes, what they're going to do for me. I want to know what you want. This is about you. It's your day. Okay. I would. I would say you joining me on the show. Birthday gift. I thought we were getting Michael Jordan since he's part of the NBC family. They said, no, it's Michael Chico. Because I said. I said, get me Michael and he got me you. So. So. But do you remember. Wait. It's good. Do you remember when. When Mark Jones, who's still doing a great job doing the NBA on espn, do you remember when we were all in Bristol and Mark was doing the NBA today, and Mark would do the shot fake and then the fadeaway jumper at the end of the show, Right? Yeah. Right? Yeah. I think Jonesy. I think Jonesy interviewed Michael after a Finals game that. You used to do that a whole bunch, too, Right? And I think. I think Jonesy said, mj in the house with the other mj. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You rem. Yes. But I think Mark Jones used to dribble, like behind his back. And then he'd say, if you're at the end of your NBA rope. Tie a knot or something. Yeah, exactly. But I remember when Mark would do that show and with the analyst on some of those shows, God rest his Soul, the great Dr. Jack Ramsey and Dr. Jack be sitting in the chair and Jonesy would be jumping up, faking and taking the jump. Right. Those are good days. NBA Today, Mark Jones. So yeah, yeah. Mark Jones is the first announcer I ever heard say somebody's taking it to the house. Oh, is that right? First guy I remember and I remember management, a couple of members of management, no longer there, who said, got to put an end to that. Oh, man, Jonesy. Two things about Jonesy loves, loves his basketball. Awesome vocabulary, great storyteller. Jonesy has been doing games for a long time at a really good level. Like one of those people who are underappreciated for the amount of work, the longevity, college hoop, NBA, college football. You're right. I don't remember that specific incident, but I do remember somebody, whether it was you or someone else, saying that Mark was the first guy to say that, taken into the house and that's become, you know, synonymous with touchdowns. So good for Jonesy. I didn't, I didn't think we talked Jonesy, but there you go. I didn't either. Okay, so this. Do you know what role Michael Jordan plays on the NBA coverage on NBC? Exactly. No special contributor part is what I do know. I think it'll be one of those things that evolves over time. I'm excited that he would even consider doing it. How would you use him? How would you use him? How would I. I don't know without talking with him what his level of granular NBA following the league transaction by transaction level is right now, but from time in management and ownership and obviously the unbelievable playing career and the way the game has evolved, I think there's a unique space there to hear from Michael where the game is, where it's going. And I'm curious what he thinks about a three on one and guys run to the three point line. I'm curious what he thinks of the guy who wanted to play so often about the amount of play guys have and, and the style of the way the game is played now on both ends of the floor. So even, even that alone, I would be curious. But. So I don't think it's one of those. You don't want Michael, I don't think sitting at the desk trading opinions of the moment on this or that. I'd like to hear it at a high level. How that manifests itself, I don't know. I hope I get to be involved with it a little bit. But look, any chance to hear Michael Jordan talk basketball, I'm signing up for. So, yeah, I hope it involves in something good. I don' to be at the desk. I think maybe you could treat it like Kobe did. Details where Kobe kind of went into the lab and said, and you, you know, you have to have somebody with Mike to kind of help him, guide him along with things. What do you see here? What would you do here? And, and then maybe you could get that on his terms so then he can go out and play 36 holes, which is really important. And you know what? That's our life goal. Yeah. We all say, I want to be like Mike. I want to roll up and crank out 36 holes a day. So, look, to have anything related to Michael Jordan connected to the NBA is really good. I did get to hang out on Monday in New York with Reggie Miller and Jamal Crawford and Vince Carter part of our team. I saw Mellow at the Derby. I'm just excited about our group and it'll be fun to get back into the league and to do with guys who are, you know, contemporary to the league and still connected in so many ways is going to be a blast. And whatever Michael brings is pretty. Mike Chico, NBC Sports host and play by play voice NBC Sunday Night Football. Also, you're going to be hosting the Preakness Stakes coming up this weekend. At least I hope so. Planning on it? I'd like to make it through. Yeah. At least get through one race this time. Okay. When did you know you were in trouble? At the Kentucky Derby. Yeah. So for those who don't know, I have a nut allergy and a severe reaction which probably every seven or eight years, it happens. Maybe you just eat something that's contaminated with nuts. And I, I knew I wasn't feeling well when I got up to the studio, which is above the paddock, which was about 2:15 or so, and I was going on at 2:30. That's when our window started and when Ahmed Farid, who did an awesome job filling. That's a hard show. It's one of the hardest shows that we do every year, just in terms of the moving parts. And Ahmed, did he bring you your lunch that day? That's, you know, that's what people are asking. And we have not gotten to the bottom of that. Investigation continues at this, at this moment. It's so funny, so many people asked Ahmed that, like Ahmed's the Nicest person on planet Earth, please. But you know what you talk about late scratches. I didn't think it would be an announcer. I thought it would be a horse Mike. But, but do I get credit for the start then? It's like going in to keep your consecutive game streak going. I got the start, I just didn't, didn't get, didn't get to the finish line. So I knew about 10 minutes before I wasn't feeling great. But sometimes you can get past that and you feel better the rest of the day. And I was just starting to get worse and then your throat closes and all that. So I was in, I was in bad shape there in terms of allergy and allergic reaction for a little while. The positive, if there was other than Ahmed doing a great job, was that I didn't know 30 million Americans have food allergies of some sort. And the fact, because they said, oh, I just want to say you're under the weather, say I had an allergic reaction, I have a nut allergy. There's no reason to hide. It's the truth. And I heard from, from so many people, including moms who said, you know, our kid has a nut allergy, is embarrassed to talk about. Thanks for bringing it up. So we're able to at least mention that on the today's show and get that out there. So some folks, you're the spokesperson for nut Out. Okay. No, I'm not. Somehow. Yeah, you're making money now. Another gig here. There is, there is no, trust me, there is no money involved with that. But, but did you know, Dan? Did you know? Okay. Hi. And how are you? Did you know that May is National Food Allergy Awareness Month? I do know. Now there you go. I did not know that. Just having fun with a bit. I used to do Chris Myers on SportsCenter at 2:30 in the morning back in the day. But yeah, anyway, so thankfully Ahmed was here. Thankfully everybody looked after me. I was fine by Sunday afternoon. And I very careful about what I eat always. And extra careful. Now, NFL schedule release last night, what stood out? Hey, you know, you always look for who's in primetime. And I think with more primetime windows in general, it's become a little more interesting to see who gets those extra games in Kansas City with seven primetime games. So many games for a team to be in primetime. You know, a lot of the people you'd expect, Dallas with six, Detroit, Washington five. But interesting. See teams like Atlanta and the Chargers, maybe teams that the folks in the league think might be good teams that other people aren't thinking about to see them show up five times in prime time. I love the fact that we get to open with Dallas and Philly and then come back with with Josh Allen against Lamar Jackson in Buffalo to open the season, a redo of that playoff game with Baltimore and Buffalo. So we'll be off and running with the Sunday night schedule. It's some good stuff. Do you read anything into Steelers against the gents opening week? I. I'm very hopeful that we're reading something into Steelers packers in mid October, which look on its own because of the legacy of both franchises, is a great game, right? But man, Aaron Rodgers is back with the Packers. I was back with the Steelers and playing the packers for probably what would be the only time in his career. Man, that would be something, something incredible. That would be an incredible scene. Would be a special, special night for all of us involved. So we wait and wonder if Aaron's going to come back or not. And if he does, that'd be pretty cool. You think he will? I don't know. But whenever he calls McAfee and decides to tell him, I guess we'll all find out. I don't know. My gut is at this point, he has to have a decision in his heart. Right. Because you're starting to get to that point in May where you're rounding yourself into physical and mental shape. And the Steelers are good quarterback play away from being more than 9 and 8, 10 and 7 and getting in and winning some of those games. I think in that division it gets magnified. Right. When you play Baltimore and you play Cincinnati, you've got to have that play. And Aaron did show at the end of the year he can make that play. So is he willing to be a part of what they do in Pittsburgh and fit right in? I think it would be a cool last chapter. So I'm hopeful. I have no gut feeling at all. I wish I did, but I don't. The Preakness Stakes after the Kentucky Derby and Sovereignty is not running. And then I wonder, you know, this has happened before, it's not the first time, but is there a way that they can space this out a little more? So you do get more people, more eyes on this and, and that this stays relevant, stays important to, you know, the sports landscape. Thousand percent, Dan. It's pretty easy. You move this race back around Memorial Day weekend or the weekend before either one. And then you move the Belmonte 4th of July weekend or the weekend before. You have to react to what's happening. Nobody In Major League Baseball is using a four man rotation in the regular season because resting pitchers and resting your investment less starts has been the way to go. Horse racing is the same thing. They used to wheel horses back every two weeks. Now for the most part, the best thoroughbreds only run once every four, five, six weeks. That's the normal window to bring them back on. Two weeks rest from Derby to Preakness never. Never happens during the year for these horses. So then why are you taking 21 plus million people that watch the Kentucky Derby? Any momentum you might have built and Give the sport 0 chance to build on top of that momentum with Sovereign. If Sovereignty is going for the second leg of the Triple Crown, maybe it's not Derby day. I damn well know sports fans would show up at about 6 o' clock on Saturday to see can he win the second and then build for the Belmont. The Triple Crown's been around for 140 some odd years and you don't want to mess with tradition. I got it. But if you can't follow this idea with anything that works right now in the sport, then we're hurting the sport. So it would behoove everyone involved. Problem is. Oh, I see what you did with that, Anthony. Behoove. Okay. Behoove. No, I didn't. I didn't. Thank you. That's why you're always the best. I see. You're always the best. See what you're doing. It'll be smart for the sport. And Maryland does its own thing. So does Kentucky. So does New York, so does California. So does Florida. You talk about college football needing a commissioner. This sport needs a commissioner. Have fun this weekend. Be careful what you eat. Thank you, pal. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. All the best. Mike Chirico. He'll be there. The Preakness Stakes Saturday, 4 Eastern on NBC. And Peacock. I've known Trico, what, 30 years? Maybe longer than that. Chandra. It's all a blur. I think the first time I Met Mike was 1994. Maybe checking. So that would give us 2,420, 30 years. Does that sound right? All right, let me take a break. Get more phone calls. Bryson DeChambeau, John Rom, Xander Schoffley. Let's see who else? So we got Bryson DeChambeau from the live tour. I think that's the only golfer who's in there. No, John Rom is in there as well. Ludwig Oberg. He's going to win one of these one day. Colin Morco and Justin Thomas also in there as well. The Thunder are the big favorites to win the title, followed by the Timberwolves. The Pacers and the Knicks have the same odds. The Celtics are plus 1700. They were plus 3000 yesterday. And the Nuggets at plus 2500. You got games coming up but one tonight and then one tomorrow. Thunder are four and a half point favorites at the Nuggets. And the Celtics are getting two and a half against the Knicks. That will be tomorrow night. Couple of phone calls in here. James in Virginia. Hi, James. What's on your mind today? It's your birthday. Happy birthday. Yeah, for your birthday. It's your birthday. Happy birthday, brother. Thank you for taking my call, dp. Hope you're enjoying your day, my man. It's always good to see another year around the sun, my man. Oh, salute the commanders, guys. Who would have thought, man? Seven standalone games, five in prime time, one international, and one on Christmas Day. Man, that is so exciting for me. Cannot wait. Cannot believe Jaden5 is gonna be alive again. No more sophomore slumps, man. He's coming out. Top six quarterback in the NFL. I'll give you a couple more things, vp. Gotta try Old Bay Wings. Most underrated wing out there. Obey Wings. Marvin. Oh, man. I owe you a pie to the face, my guy. And I know you like apple, so I'm gonna hook you up, man. It's been a busy month, but I'm gonna get my wife to do it. I'm sure my daughter would love it too, man. Hope you guys have a great time. Is it gonna be Bad News Bears on the zombie dude? I think so, but you don't pull it out in the end, man. Y' all have a great time and salute the commanders. Thank you, James. Good to hear from you. Mason in Florida. Hi, Mason. What's on your mind? Hey, Dan. Good to talk to you. Yeah. 74 and 3 quarter inches, 190 pounds, 6 ounces and 592 months. That's my baby. Stats, I got a comment about the from the Skip Bayless clutch comment a while ago. By no means, not a dookie. Go Crap State. But I got your next clutch T shirt for Cooper Flag. Who needs a clutch when you're automatic? Okay. All right. That's a car reference. Yeah, it is. There's a thing called the clutch that you use when you drive a standard, just a stick shift. Although there's an automatic where you don't need the clutch. When you talk to it, younger generation, they'll be like, wait, what? Right. Exactly. Yeah, no, there's like a clutch pedal and then you push it in and then you shift the gears. Why? Well, that just. It's way we. Yeah, that's. My son is getting almost to driving age and we're making him learn how to drive a standard just because. Why not? My wife was the same way with my kids because they, you know, she said, you may not drive, you know, a car like that here in the United States, but if you go to Europe, you know, they still have stick ships over there. Yeah. Kevin in Ohio. Hi, Kevin. What's on your mind today? Hi. Good. Good morning, Dan. Happy birthday to you and just want to say happy birthday to your wife and your family for allowing you to be on the show and provide us what you guys do every day. But the big thing I wanted to say is I think I watched your Nick Wright interview the other day and you had a walk off with Nick Wright. Yeah. And I'm going to give you another walk off. When the young man called in about the Yolita or the whatever. Yeah. He called in and your crew immediately. This is what makes you different. People could call in. I know we laugh about their medical procedures and things with Todd, but. But you guys, people don't care how much you know till they know how much you care. And. You're so kidding. Thank you, Kevin. Sounds like a T shirt there. People don't know how much you care, you know, until. People don't care how much you know. They know how much you care. Love that. I like it. My wife's gonna put that in there. Breezeway. One of those signs. David in Ohio. Hi, David. What's on your mind today? Yeah, Dan. Happy me Thursday. Nobody. All I gotta say is, survey says, happy birthday, Dan. Thank you. All right, well, thank you, David. I appreciate that. I. I started calling myself Game 6 Dan. And then a couple of my friends go, why would you say game six? I said, because I don't get to game seven. Yeah, that's right. That's Michael Jordan. That's right. Friends. Yeah. Ask Mike Jordan about that. Call me Game six. Why is that? Because I don't get to game seven. Yes. Call him, Mike. Yeah. Well, do you want to be like Mike? It's his name. He was Mike Jordan when he was at North Carolina. Was he? Yeah. Then he became Michael. Yeah. Edit guard. Let me see. I see the Pope. The video coming up. Yeah, that's real. The Chicago Bulls, you know, with their introduction song. He's like, I have one request. Hear me out on this, Paulie. Are we playing in or out? It's up to you. Oh, man. Do you have the energy? It's quick. Okay, I will say this. I did ask for this. It's not going to happen, but I did ask for it. I asked if the big German could change my seat on the plane going to Atlanta. Okay, hold up. That might impact other people on the plane. Exactly. And I said, don't do it because somebody was then going to get Fritzy. I. This is. The only thing I asked for on my birthday, was that I didn't have to sit next to Todd. That's the only thing you asked for on your birthday? In lieu of gifts. In lieu of gifts. I was like, that says a lot right there. Yeah. But, yeah, I have a solution. Todd could go back to the coach seats. Well, the person that has the problem needs to take initiative and move. If they are the ones that. It's my. It's my birthday. Yeah. Everybody has birthdays. I'll remember when it's your birthday. Yes. You. Okay? So what has happened? Nothing. Nothing. Okay, is there a loophole here that you said you asked the German to. And you said, no, you don't do it, I'm gonna have someone else do it. Like Mario. You change. I did ask Mario. Ah, see? Yeah, exactly. No, I did. And Mario goes, I don't know if I could do it. I don't know if I can do it right now. And I go, all right. I mean, he's directing the show. And I said, priorities here. I gotta sit next to Todd for three hours. It's like 220. No, no, no. We're gonna pre board, and then I'm there with it. Here's why I'm so concerned about that, is because I know if you're switching those around, you're definitely having Marvin sit next to you than me. Which means that I'm sitting next to Todd today. Yes. Which I'm already on the record on how I feel about that. Yes, yes. For a glass partition between the seats, which I don't know if the airplane does that. It's true. I did. Sir, we can't do that. We're taking off shortly this last thing is my check on and my carry on. Can I put this, please? Sir, you're going to have to check that glass thing you got there. That's not going to make it on the plane. I need. I need Sonos or Bose to come out with Fritzy canceling headphones. Like that's what they're called, not noise canceling. Fritzy canceling headphones. Well, mean spirited, I got to tell you. But let's not have a converse. I mean, I speak for three hours, Todd. I don't want to get on the plane, and then you start chatting me up. Try out some of my material. Tap your shoulder. They're bringing the pretzels and the waffle cookies out. Which one do you want before you go to sleep? I know, but there. There just has to be. I'm gonna tell you, I'm not going to give you one of those. Oh, let me read into her. Or is he dropping a hint? I'm just gonna say, Todd, no more conversation. What are you thinking? Ginger ale, Coke zero, cran apple. What do you think? They're coming with the card. What do you think? Well, you know, the audience is probably thinking that we're joking, and the thing is that we're not. Todd's not joking. That that's what he does. I'm gonna ask for the pretzels and the waffle. Give me both. Yeah, no, you can take mine. You can take mine. He's sleeping. You can give me. He wanted pretzels. I'm gonna have the waffle. Yes. Paul, if you really think that Todd would not talk your ear off for the first 20 minutes when you guys sit down. You must be new here. Yeah, because he would talk your ear off about not talking your ear off. Yes. You know, I'm not gonna talk to you while we do this. Apparently, I'm not supposed to be talking, so the last thing I want to do is bother you on the plane and let alone your birthday. I mean, I'm. Can I make a scene? The other sports guy. I just saw you on ESPN the other night. You're still doing SportsCenter. How long you been there? I'm sitting next to Dan Patrick. No way. How long would it take to take the train from Connecticut to Atlanta? Checking. Could I get there by tomorrow? Showtime. Midnight train to Georgia. Oh, hey now. Time to play. In or out? You're either in or you're out. Let's go. Rapid fire. Steph Curry will play one more year in Golden State, then wrap it up. Todd out. Seaton In. Marvin, out. I'm out. Tomorrow is setting up to be one of the worst nights in Nick's history. Oh, okay. Todd, you in? Around. Out. Satan. Worst nights in Nick's history is a big statement. Is it going to be a terrible night? Yes. I'll be in. If they lose, Marvin, win or lose, we all suffer. So I'm in. I'm into. If I were an NFL player, I would love to play in international games. Todd, out. Satan in. Marvin, out. Out. The PGA Championship, the fourth major, no offense, should absolutely change its name for branding purposes. Todd in. Seaton out. Marvin in. I'm in. I'm okay. That means you want them to get rid. Oh, no, I'm out. I'm okay. If they keep the pga. Yeah, I mean, it's for the professional golfer. You know, the. The. The. You know, the teachers. So it's the PGA champion. That's terrible. Name. Thank you. The Detroit Tigers, by the way, are 29 and 15. They're in first place. They've outscored their opponents by 86 runs. They are technically the best team in baseball. The Detroit Tigers are the best story in baseball and the best team. Todd, out. I'd go Aaron Judge's start over that. Seaton in. Yes. Marvin. Oh, the best story is the Rockies. Yeah, I'd say out, too. Oh, yeah. The Rockies have gotten more attention than the Tigers have. Yeah. I mean, I like Tarek Scubal, but just love them. Yeah. By the way, the West Sacramento Athletics. Yeah. Are a half. One and a half games out of first place. Yeah. Okay. I wish they would make the play. They gotta host a playoff game. Please. That'd be great. Last one. Today's attendance, 921. In or out? There will be an incident during the family feud taping incident. Todd in Seaton. I'm out. Marvin, out. I'm in. I don't know who it'll be, but it will. There will be an incident. I'm saying it's either me or Todd from our team. An incident could be a good thing, though. It could be. It could be. It could be one of those moments that goes viral with Steve Harvey Lucas in Texas. Hey, Luke. What's on your mind today? Hey, Dan. Good morning. Good morning. Word. Yeah, you're. You're right. Y' all talked about it yesterday. Y' all are past the point of preparation. It's time to just, you know, get your mind. Get your bodies ready for tomorrow. So my question is a fit check. Who's going to be the sharpest dressed on the show? And honestly, we probably should check before y' all actually get on the plane. What is Todd going to wear? We want to make sure that we're not showing up in any kind of a sweatpants situation. Okay. Now, once again, I was going to do team uniforms, like tracksuits, but I decided that maybe we should not do that. I didn't ask anybody what their wardrobe choice was. Seaton. Well, I'm happy that that was brought up because, yeah, we got that packet that said, like, hey, here's what time you're getting picked up. Here's, like, all the stuff it says, like, hey, wear bold colors. Nothing too flashy. Nothing with patterns and all this stuff. Well, the first line of that, when I read it and we originally got it, said, dress casual. Yeah. And I was, like, sick. I could totally dress casual. So last night, while I was going through my clothes to figure out what I had those bold color, I looked at the rules again, and it says, dressy casual. Oh, with a Y. That is drastically dead. So I didn't know what dressy casual was. I had to look that up. And it turns out that dressy casual is drastically different than dress casual. I was leaning towards wearing what I'm wearing right now. That is not appropriate attire. It's not. So what happened was I read the thing. It said dress casual. I was sick. I'm great. I could totally do casual all day. And then I started last night, I sat down and I watched an episode of Celebrity Family Feud, and I was like, dang, dude. All these people are dressed super nice. These got ties on. Some guys have, like, a sport coat on. Women like that. Everybody looked like a million bucks. So I went back and read it again, and it says, dressy casual with a Y. Okay, I've already packed. Unless I go buy something while I'm there. What you've done before, I have done that. I've done that. It's very much part of my plan. What about you, Marvin? Yeah, I figured out what I was wearing. Your wife helped you? She did for once. Yeah. Because I usually hate what she picks out for me, because I was like, no, no, I got this. Did she pick out your outfit for Magic City later on tonight? Oh, she sure did. She was like, you know, Marvin, she's like, I know you don't do strip clubs, but I know Atlanta's special to you, legit. I did. I did ask Marvin. I said, oh, did you run this by your wife? He goes, yeah, as a matter of fact, I did. Yeah. Paulie, everyone's gonna have to do a glitter check on their clothes. The old glitter check. Yep. So you're going dress casual or dressy casual? Marvin. I'm going polo shirt and jeans tonight. What about tomorrow for the show? Oh, same thing. Polo shirt, slacks. Okay. Polo shirts. Slack. Yep. I got a little jacket to go over it. Oh. Put it all together. What? Yeah. You got a blazer? No, it's not a blazer. It's almost. It's like a light bomber jacket. Okay. Yeah. You think I was going to, like, dress up like an insurance salesman? Get out of here. Country club. I know. My mom's like, you can wear a tie. No, no. You could wear a tie. Country club. Country club. Casual. Okay. Ah, man, I gotta buy something. I do. I do. Because I. I have a flannel shirt. But is it a dress flannel or is it a working flannel? I've worn it on the air before. I don't know if that's. Paul, what do you. What's your outfit? I. I would say I've got a decent pair of pants and a decent shirt, but it's. I didn't. I'm not trying too hard, but it looks like you're going out to dinner. A casual day. You're usually pretty good at this. You're pretty good at getting dressed up. Yeah. I gotta buy something. I gotta buy something. Does anyone have backup clothing they can loan you? And I was gonna just wear tennis shoes. Can I wear tennis shoes? I think for the feet down. You're not gonna be on air that much. Yeah, I just want to be every man. I want to be a regular guy. I don't want to go out there and be all dressed on. This is a mess. But this is celebrity Family feud. Well, but you're trying to send a message to the Isaac. A lot of celebrities don't get dressed up, Marvin. Good point. Adam Sandler doesn't get dressed up. I have something that I wore to the sports Emmys once. Well, there's something that I've worn, like, 30 times. And we can wear that Tuesday night to the sports. I very likely will. Okay. All right. If you're watching on Peacock, we're going out to the Traeger Grills. We have a bunch of wings out there and a few other items there. More phone calls. We'll close up shop here. So join me starting Tuesday, May 6, where we'll delve into stories of the west and come to understand how it helps inform the ways in which we experience the region today. Got some wings here. Got all my friends and Fritzy, you know, this is just how you want to spend a birthday. Going to get on a plane today with Todd, spend some quality time, go to Atlanta, check in, go to dinner. Then all bets are off. All bets are off after that. But I don't want to go to a gentleman's club on my birthday because then, you know, all of a sudden I'll get singled out there. Yeah, Mark, the club DJ is going to recognize you. Oh, sports, Sports center in the house. Not even gonna know your real name. No, I know. They'll be like, okay, all right, Cinnamon, Cinnamon, come over here. Happy birthday to this Sports center guy. Okay, last call for Todd. Went in the back and talked the back room guys and he goes, do you think they're serious about going to the gentleman's club? I don't get my hopes up too much or anything. Okay, do you want to go? I'm actually extremely shy and you know, in those situations I could talk a good game, but it's a very awkward place. Todd I'm alone. Everyone's going. I would go to. I'm not gonna, you know, stand in front of the line and go with a sign. Let's go to the strip club. Okay. I've been there, and it's extremely awkward. I fall in love, and then I realized just about dancing with someone. Do you want to go? Yeah. We could check it out. Okay. That's all I ask. Finally. I'll make it drizzle. I'm not gonna make it rain. Just look a little soft. Okay. Download the DraftKings Pick Six app now. Use Code Patrick and new customers. You pay $5, get 50 and pick six credits. So we have the up. Let's see. More or less to choose from. Like SGA. More or less. 30 and a half points. Now everybody gets to pick one. We got to pick six here. There's six of us. So, Paulie, you go first. I'd like to go first. The Michael Porter Jr. Over under for points is eight and a half. There would be nothing more Michael Porter Jr. Than to have 27 points in a loss. I agree. I agree. Going over in a loss. All right. You have more with Michael Porter Jr. Satan, how about you? More or less. Okay. Well, that was one that I had circled. So since I can't use that one. This is going to make some people unhappy. I think Nicola Jokic, I'm going to have. I think he's going to have less than 14 and a half rebounds. Okay. Less. All right, Todd. I've got SGA under 30 and a half points. He would have less than. Less than. That's less than 30 and a half points. Marvin. I got Aaron Gordon. The over under is one and a half. Made three pointers. I'm gonna go with more. He's been on fire lately. Okay, I'm going. Alex caruso. More than one and a half. Three pointers. More than one and a half. I think if you look at Nikola Jokic, I think he's only had more than 15 or more rebounds four times, maybe five times in this year's playoffs. So the odds are saying, just based on past performance, that he would have less than that in this game. That's my reasoning for that. Download the DraftKings pick six app now. Use code Patrick. New customers. You play $5, get 50 and pick six credits. Better payouts, bigger wins, only. With pick six from DraftKings, the crown is yours. Garth in Illinois. Hi, Garth. What's on your mind today? Hi, Dan. 6, 1, 1, 40. Happy birthday to you. Party on. I'm just Worried about the state of baseball. I'm trying to enjoy this season while I have it. Curious if you think we're heading towards a lockout after this current cpa. Yes, I do. Yes, I do. This day in Sports History Paul 1926, the New York Rangers were granted the first NHL franchise. Then they went with Chicago and Detroit a couple months later. And oh, Nolan Ryan, 1973 with the Angels. Pitched his first no hitter. And I love this one. 1991, U.S. president Bush took Queen Elizabeth to an Oakland A's Baltimore Orioles game. It's pretty cool. Is that where they started with the Naked Gun? I don't know where the Queen goes to a baseball game in the movie Naked Gun. Yeah. Reggie Jackson. Yeah. Let me see. On this date, anything, anything? Anything? 1981, Len Barker. The Cleveland Indians pitches a perfect game beating the Blue Jays three to nothing. All right, let's go around the room. What we learned on the program. Todd, what'd you learn today? Jason Kidd doesn't want to get fined by the leagues. He'll just refer to the Mavs expected top pick as the kid from Duke. I was surprised at that that he was worried about getting fined. Seaton, you turned Jason Kidd into a three point shooter. I did. Melvin Jay Kid says Stockton wasn't wasn't smart. He was dirty. Did he say no, he said he was all the way around. Paulie, what'd you learn? Don't forget the glitter. Check what we learned Brought to you by Mako. Most cars on the road could use little tlc. At Mako they bring your car back to life. But if we're honest, most people run from them, staying silent, missing chances and holding themselves back. I know this is true because I used to be like that until I realized that negotiation isn't a talent, it's a skill that anyone can learn. And once I did, everything changed.
