Dan Patrick
I turned off news altogether.
Pandora (Stat of the Day)
I hate to say it, but I don't trust much of anything.
Dan Patrick
It's the rage bait. It feels like it's trying to divide people.
Seaton
We got clear facts. Maybe we could calm down a little.
Dan Patrick

It was a long night for Josh Allen. He was sacked eight times and he spoke after the loss to the Texans.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Can you even put into words how it is to get through a game.
Dan Patrick
Like that most sacks of your career?
Matt Friend
Yeah, it's not fun.
Dan Patrick
I ran into a couple myself. I got to be better with throwing the ball away and living to see another down and letting letting us play some situational football and pin. I'm deep and too many times I was going backwards and I got to be better on that. He's not going to throw his line under the bus and he did run into a couple of those sacks. But when you're going up the middle and you're coming off the edge, it didn't matter. Wherever he was Looking or trying to look. But give credit to the Texans, they're still a really good defensive team. And Davis Mills, in spite of his long neck, you know, that might be the second longest neck of any quarterback in NFL history, aside from Peyton Manning. But Paulie said, you know, that might be a negative with a long neck, but he seemed to pull out the victory. Yeah, yeah.
Paulie
Dylan and I were sitting in the sportsbook, and this is what happens in Vegas when you've had a couple and you're breaking down football. We were like. Dylan goes, you know, guys with long necks generally don't make great NFL quarterbacks. I'm like, what's your thesis? Here you go, well, Davis Mills, I'm.
Matt Friend
Like, he's not bad.
Paulie
He goes, yes, but he's not great. That's why he's not a starter. I'm like, okay, Mike Lennon had a chance to start a little bit. Nice backup.
Dan Patrick
Long neck.
Paulie
Really long neck. Maybe the longest. Checking my records. But then the Peyton Manning neck debunks the entire theory. Yeah, a really long neck and a first ballot hall of Famer.
Dan Patrick
All I know is his dad referred to him as long neck. Yeah, I remember in New Orleans being out with Archie and Eli and Peyton. And Archie, the dad is making fun of Peyton, calling him long neck.
Paulie
As our conversation kept going over drinks, we decided Peyton Manning is more known for his forehead than his neck. So that means he's not a long neck first guy. Back to you, Dan.
Dan Patrick
Okay, thank you. Nobody breaks down the game quite like we do.
Paulie
Real conversation.
Dan Patrick
All right, Satan, what's the poll question for the final hour of the program?
Seaton
Yeah, we got a few of them up there right now. The must win game this weekend. We've got the Chiefs. We have got the Rams. We have got the Cowboys and the Buccaneers. Chiefs running away with that one. Also, if you could watch the race from one place, an F1 race, rooftop casino, balcony, grandstands, a TV casino balcony right now is winning that one. And the best part of F1 crashes. Speed drama or the team radio meltdowns. The speed followed by team radio.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Let's go.
Seaton
That's awesome.
Dan Patrick
Okay. It's a light weekend in college football. Not a lot of great matchups. Although usc, Oregon is interesting. The NFL always going to have great matchups. The Buccaneers at the Rams is really interesting. Buccaneers, you know, you got to write the ship here at some point. That's a tough place to do it considering the way Stafford's been playing.
Paulie
Yes, Paul, you're right about usc. Oregon. Oregon is at nine One, they're a ten and a half point favorite. And Lincoln Riley right now, eight and two. He's calm things down quite a bit out there. And if he takes down Oregon, you're not getting him out of there anytime soon.
Dan Patrick
Well, and we've talked about this, that he's too expensive if he doesn't get the job done. But we've seen these buyouts, and we still don't have any conclusion with Lane. You know, imagine the coach being the distraction. If you're a coach, you don't want distractions. But your coach is the distraction right now because you're waiting to find out will he stay or will he go. And everybody's trying to read into, oh, that means he's going to Florida or that means he's going to lsu. That means he's staying at Ole Miss. Ole Miss, a great story. This is the best that team has ever that in the history of the program, really. You go back to Archie Manning when he was there back in the late 60s and he was a Heisman Trophy candidate there. But this is a wonderful year. And I don't know if it's Lane's last year there. I don't know if he feels like I'll never win a national championship here. And maybe that would be the reason why he would go to LSU or Florida. Yes.
Marvin
Marv, is Ole Miss on the same level as Texas A and M as far as. We really, really, really want to be great at college football. Because remember years ago with Laquan Treadwell, I was like, okay, they're trying to, to be great at football. With Lane Kiffin, you're finally great at football. So they do. They do everything to keep them A.
Dan Patrick
M, A and M's.
Marvin
Oh, that's the one seed.
Dan Patrick
Yes. Because, you know, the Manzel era, then they, you know, added on to that stadium there. Now they're. They want to be. They want to be great. They're willing to spend to be great. They thought they did that a couple of years ago with Jimbo Fiser, and it didn't work. Even though Jimbo tried to tell us that he did all that great recruiting. And I was told they invested heavily into their defensive line that year. Yes.
Paulie
Paul A and M has Longhorn money. They just don't have the Longhorn success. But I mean, they're there right now. Ole Miss has always been like kind of that. Not bad, not good, fun team over the past 30 years. More known for the tailgate. But that changed. And was Marvin saying, what was that? The Bow Wallace, Robert Kim, DJ And Laquan Treadwell.
Dan Patrick
Yeah.
Paulie
And they got some recruiting violations off that. When you're getting recruiting violations, that means you're doing things right. So weirdly.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. Paulie goes, you know, I respect that.
Paulie
Yes.
Dan Patrick
That at least you're trying to do something. I said, soon as they signed those guys, I said, somebody's going on probation.
Paulie
It was blue chips, the college football version.
Dan Patrick
And I went, you know, back then when you weren't supposed to do this, and they were bringing in these, you know, blue chip recruits. Yes, Paulie.
Paulie
I always say that Florida football, when Urban Meyer was there, people were in trouble. The NCAA was looking, and, man, were they winning a lot of ball games.
Dan Patrick
Yes, Marvin.
Marvin
Yeah. When they signed Laquan Trevor, I was like, oh, man. Okay. They got somebody local. Somebody was like, no, I think he's from Illinois. Don't nobody go from Illinois to Ole Miss for football.
Dan Patrick
He's from the south side of Chicago. Yeah.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I believe.
Dan Patrick
Okay. I said that we might have a special phone call here, and, you know, we have a lot of Stat of the day songs there, and my favorite is not everybody else's favorite, but I love it because I just think there's a message being sent to me. Marvin, do you know if we could play that?
Pandora (Stat of the Day)
Of the day. We love your start of the day. Start of the day. Start of the day. Oh, damn. Give us the stat of the day.
Dan Patrick
And the person who gave us stat of the day, Pandora, is joining us.
Paulie
Legend.
Seaton
Legend.
Dan Patrick
Thank you for joining us, Pandora. I know that you were in Reno, and we thought maybe you would be able to join us here in Las Vegas. I know you're moving, so.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah.
Dan Patrick
But we want to thank you for. We were hoping to have you do the stat of the day here in person.
Anabe Sofas Advertiser
I know.
Pandora (Stat of the Day)
I'm sorry we couldn't make it.
Dan Patrick
Do you have something for me?
Pandora (Stat of the Day)
I did. I kind of changed it around a little bit for Vegas.
Dan Patrick
Oh, yeah. Okay.
Pandora (Stat of the Day)
So it's still the stat of the day.
Dan Patrick
Okay. You got the piano with you?
Seaton
Yep.
Dan Patrick
Okay, here we go. This is Pandora with stat of the day.
Pandora (Stat of the Day)
The cars are fast and the girls are too. Dan, what are you asking me to do? Vegas has cold, so it's time to play.
Paulie
Damn.
Pandora (Stat of the Day)
Let me ask. What you willing to pay for my stat of the day? Stat of the day? You're welcome, Vegas. It's the stat of the day. Stat of the day. Even hotter today today here in Vegas. It's the stat of the day. Stat of the day. D. You played your cards right and one the start of the day.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
All right.
Paulie
Emotional.
Dan Patrick
You know, I think it's better that you weren't here in person because there is a lot going on with that song there. I can feel the heat. I can feel it. And thank you, Pandora. You're welcome. Is your husband there?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
He is.
Dan Patrick
Oh, okay. Well, that's not good.
Pandora (Stat of the Day)
Yeah, I can send him away, dad.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, I mean, buzzkill. Like, I thought it was just, you know, a personal zoom call.
Pandora (Stat of the Day)
Well, I did write it for you.
Dan Patrick
Well, thank you again and we love hearing it. And good luck with your move to Texas. Awesome.
Pandora (Stat of the Day)
Thank you so much.
Dan Patrick
All right, that's a Pandora.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Wow.
Paulie
What a special treat.
Marvin
Okay, Dan, give us.
Dan Patrick
How much am I willing to pay? Come on now.
Seaton
A lot of heat there.
Dan Patrick
Yes. You know, I got a fever, but that gave me a little bit more of a fever. That's pretty hot. Yeah. Thank you, Todd.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Wow.
Paulie
Live performance at the Fountain Blue.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, I know, but I thought I could get a piano in here and then have her play that song. But she's moving to Texas at its best. She shouldn't be that close to me.
Seaton
You know, maybe that's why you're flying a little too close to the sun here.
Dan Patrick
You know, Babe, we're moving to Texas.
Seaton
Yellow, babe.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. Enough of this Dan Patrick show in Vegas. And we're in Reno, not far away. It's time to get out of town. All right. Greg in Michigan. Good morning, Greg. Hey, good morning, gamma man. It's Mr. Positive. Hey, I mentioned you last night on national radio with Bart Winkler. You let me down. My bills. Dan. Dan, help me. What? What's wrong with. I mean, come on, they're not that good this year. Oh, Dan, don't. Come on. I mean, you're right. And is it his front line? I mean, I mean, we got the best. Arguably him, Mahomes and Jackson are the best, you know, all around quarterbacks. And he can't do it himself. Do you know who Mark Ryan is? No. Okay. He says that coaches have a seven year lifespan. So. Well, coaching span, not lifespan.
Paulie
That'd be terrible.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, be like, I want to be a coach. You're gonna die in seven years. Oh, Dan. Dan. Oh, my God, Greg. Thank you. Thank you.
Paulie
Rambling.
Dan Patrick
I can't help you.
Marvin
Oh, damn. Give us.
Dan Patrick
How about bring Pandora back? How about some defense there? I mean, there's only so much Josh Allen could do but give credit to the Texans. Texans played really well. Well, Todd in North Carolina. Hi, Todd. What's on your mind? Hey. First time in a Long time. I was actually at that Indianapolis race back in 05 that you were talking about with the previous segment. So it wasn't really a parade, but I'm a Ferrari fan, so I enjoyed seeing the cars. Also got to meet Michael Schumacher and get his autograph, which now when with him in his current condition is even more special. They just wanted to call in about that. All right, well, thank you, Todd. Thank you. Who had the best week in sports? Todd, can you give us, Give us. Okay, the. The best week in sports was turned in by who or what? By the way, the hall of Excellence here at the Fountain Blue. I met Paulie there yesterday. Just the sports memorabilia. It. As far as a one room collection, it's the best collection I've ever seen. And it's, you know, I don't know, 100ft away from here. But they have so many great things in there. Awesome. And they're on. Well, all of Tom Brady's super bowl rings are in there. Shohei Ohtani shoes and bat from the World Series. They got Carl Lewis's warm up jacket from the 84 Olympics. They got, I mean Wilt Chamberlain. They have the actual scorecard when he scored 100 points autographed by Wilt. There's so much there. You get the opportunity. The hall of Excellence that Jim Gray and Tom Brady put together is incredible. Yes, Paul.
Paulie
And not just great stuff. They've got like the one of one type stuff. They've got a Babe Ruth World Series used autograph bat. I didn't know something like that existed. And they said it's. They didn't want to give me the number, but they said it's worth more than the entire build. Like the build out of it. They had Walter Payton's game used helmet from the rushing record. Not just a random game. They had Michael Jordan's first Air Jordan shoes that he used in the first game. And they have the clip of the announcer saying those are the ugliest shoes in the NBA. You could play things and hear it. So Kobe Bryant's warm up jacket from his first game in the NBA. Not just a random game. Wild stuff.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. And there's a QR code and you can click on that. You can actually get voices, you know, Jim Nance voices, some things in there. You can hear Tom Brady's voice. But they have all kinds of things. Michael Phelps stuff from the Olympics with gold medals. But very, very impressive.
Seaton
Hello, friends. We encourage you to use the restroom to the left.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. Hall of Excellence here at Fountain Blue. Okay. Best week in Sports Todd with three.
Marvin
Straight wins over the Jags, Titans and now the Bills.
Dan Patrick
Last night, my best week in sports.
Marvin
Goes to QB Davis Mills and the Texans. Mills, five touchdowns, only one pick over.
Dan Patrick
Those three games Hughtown started off.
Marvin
Oh, and three.
Dan Patrick
They're now six and five. Let's go Utah. All right. Seaton.
Seaton
Dang. I had Qtown too. That's a signature win against the Bills. 6 and 5. Things seem to be going in the right direction.
Dan Patrick
Paul.
Paulie
I'm going to go back to USC's Lincoln Riley. The past month has been really good. Last week against Iowa, getting that done. If he gets it done this weekend, there are people looking to see if that job was going to come open. Usc. Yeah, there was people lurking is the right word, Dan, you know. And if the USC job ever comes available, it's hot, scalding hot. But it looks like he make it another year though.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. Us see if it comes open soon. Marvin Best week in sports Lane Kiffin.
Marvin
He's hotter than fish grease right now. Old Mrs. Tenant 1. Florida, LSU. They're coming after him with a big check Sunday night.
Dan Patrick
Two quarterbacks with firepower and finesse. It's their time in the Spotlight. Baker Mayfield Jr. III and the Bucks against Matthew Stafford and The Rams Sunday, 7 Eastern on NBC. And Peacock when we come back, he is shot out of a cannon. Just warning you, he is Matt Friend, a up and coming comedian and he will join us next year on the Dan Patrick Show.

Robert Smith
I'm Robert Smith and this is Jacob Goldstein. And we used to host a show called Planet Money. And now we're back making this new podcast called Business History about the best ideas and people and businesses in history and some of the worst people, horrible ideas and destructive companies in the history of business. Having a genius idea without a need for it is nothing. It's like not having it at all. It's a very simple, elegant lesson. Make something people want. First episode, how Southwest Airlines use cheap seats and free whiskey to fight its way into the airline business. The most Texas story ever. There's a lot of mavericks in that story. We're going to have mavericks on the show. We're going to have plenty of robber barons. So many robber barons.
Dr. Jesse Mills
And you know what?
Robert Smith
They're not all bad. And we'll talk about some of the classic great moments of famous business geniuses, along with some of the darker moments that often get overlooked, like Thomas Edison.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
And the electric chair.
Robert Smith
Listen to business history on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Matt Friend
What do you get when you mix 1950s Hollywood, a Cuban musician with a dream, and one of the most iconic sitcoms of all time? You get Desi Arness, a trailblazer, a businessman, a husband, and maybe most importantly, the first Latino to break primetime wide open. I'm Wilmer Valderrama. And yes, I grew up watching him, probably just like you and millions of others. But for me, I saw myself in his story.
Dan Patrick
From cleaning canary cages to this night.
Paulie
Here in New York, it's a long ways.
Matt Friend
On the podcast, starring Desi Arnaz and Wilmer Valderrama, I'll take you on a journey to Desi's life. The moments it has overlapped with mine. How he redefined American television and what that meant for all of us watching from the sidelines, waiting for a face like ours on screen. This is the story of how one man spotlight led the path for so many others and how we carry his legacy. Listen to Starring Desi Arnaz and Wilmer Valderrama as Part of the My Cultura Podcast network, available on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Dr. Jesse Mills

Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
And I'm Jordan, the show's producer. And like a lot of guys, I haven't been to the doctor in many years.
Robert Smith
I'll be asking the questions we probably.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Should be asking but aren't because guys.
Dr. Jesse Mills
Usually don't go to the doctor unless a piece of their face is hanging.
Paulie
Off or they've broken a bone.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Depends which bone.
Dr. Jesse Mills
Well, that's true. Every week, we're breaking down the unique world of men's health, from testosterone and fitness to diets and fertility and things that happen in the bedroom.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
You mean sleep?
Dr. Jesse Mills
Yeah, something like that. Jordan. We'll talk science without the jargon and get you real answers to the stuff you actually wonder about.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer

Dan Patrick
Oh, how do you. How do you introduce him? Stand up comedian. Impressionist. Actor. Commentator. Voice actor. You can check out Matt Friend, upcoming shows in North America you can go to@matt friend.com I'm looking at some of the voices here. So Barack Obama, Donald Trump, Jeff Goldblum, Timothy Chalamet, Stanley Tucci, Mitch McConnell, King Charles, Michael Buble, Bill Maher, Howard Stern, Matthew McConaughey, Andy Cohen, Sebastian Maniscalco. Who was the first impersonation?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Well, first of all, can I just say that when I was 4 years old and I looked in the mirror, I said, I don't want to host the Oscars. I don't want to be on tv. My dream is to appear on talk shows in the middle of a casino. And I think of great American comedians. You know, Robin Williams, Jerry Seinfeld going on Johnny Carson. This, to me, is my big break. Getting up with Dan Patrick in front of the blackjack table. This is, you know, it is surreal to be with you. Thank you for having me. I feel like you could be my dad. We do have kind of a vibe going here. You have an ability to look like every Republican congressman in one person. Why aren't you at the Cheney funeral right now? I feel like you should be sitting there with Kamala passing a mint to somebody.
Dan Patrick
I sent my condolences.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
No, I'm thrilled to be here. And which was my favorite voice? You said your first one. My first one was Austin Powers. So that was the one that got me into comedy. I fell in love with that movie. Dr. Evil Gold. Member Fat Bastard?
Dan Patrick
What are you, five years old?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
At the time I was four. I'm 27 now. Okay. So that's the one that got me hooked.
Dan Patrick
And how's it sound?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I can't really do it anymore. I know I do. Dr. Evil. I didn't spend six years in Evil Medical School to be called Mister. Thank you very much.
Dan Patrick
When did it. When did an adult tell you that you had something?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I think I was always just making people laugh. Like, I. For me, I. I. Like I said, when I was a kid, I just wanted to make my parents laugh and their friends laugh, and then my teachers laugh. And then I was a precocious kid, like, quoting, you know, oh, I loved Johnny Carson, that old era of show business. For whatever reason, I was very drawn to, like, Jonathan Winters and Richard Pryor in that period. So I was quoting those guys, and I think just. I got laugh as a kid, and then it. Then it happened.
Dan Patrick
But you do your impersonations in front of the people?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yes, often. Yeah.
Dan Patrick
Okay. When does it go bad when you do an impersonation in front of.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
It has yet to. It has yet to go. I think it's on the way. You approach that. Like anything in life, you want to be kind of respectful and have, like, a likability factor. But I used to run into people on the street, and then I would do it. Like, it started with me meeting Andy Cohen on the sidewalk, which is how 95% of gay hookup stories begin. Just meeting Andy Cohen on the sidewalk. And Andy looks at me, goes, wait a minute. You're like the guy who does me, right? Like you do. Clarified. That's definitely not the first time Andy Cohen has said that to a guy on the sidewalk. You guys look like you're about to get your shoes signed in an airport right now, sitting there. But this is amazing. I love this. And then I was doing Sebastian Maniscalco. I ran into him at a restaurant. What's up, everybody? It's. I'm so happy to be here with Dan Patrick.
Dan Patrick
Look at this.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I did a talk show in a casino. Who the is booking this? And then a lot of the political stuff has taken over. I performed at the correspondence dinner last year, and I'm in this interesting position where it's kind of bipartisan, where I'm trying to make Republican audiences and Democratic audiences laugh and kind of get everybody. Because let me tell you something, Dan. When you're a star, you could do anything in Grim by the. Grim by the. Patrick, you could do anything you want. And let me just say, it's great to be. Am I looking at this camera?
Dan Patrick
You can look at any camera.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Quiet. Hey, quiet, piggy. Quiet, piggy.
Dan Patrick
Okay, Quiet.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Look at that. That's a good. Well, he says, quiet, piggy. Is that disgusting? He says piggy to the reporter, which I think was a terrible thing. But you have Charles Leclerc. You have F1, which is a great. I love F1. That's a great thing, too. And you're really getting me started, because if you want to talk like, look, there's a black guy. That's a great one. I love a black. African Americans are great people. That's my favorite African American right there. He's sitting there. He's fantastic. I would say his name is Marvin. Well, I didn't ask his name. I just said he was the black guy. But I do like Marvin a lot, actually. His stuff as hell. I know him very well.
Robert Smith
And.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Thank you.
Dan Patrick
Thank you. Thank you for your service. I'm in character now.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I don't know what to tell you. Thank you.
Dan Patrick
Marvin, who's your favorite. Who's the go to impression sexually?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Okay, got it. This is. This interview has taken a turn. My go to impression. Well, right now, I'm working on myself, so I'm doing my first hour of standup, and that'll be next year, my first special. And it's. This is not the question. The answer to the question. You wanted the voices like a monkey boy. I. My. Howard Stern. We're doing the radio, so this has got to be it, right? Dan, let me ask you a question. Okay? You're a legendary broadcaster. I want to know this. You must have gotten so much as back in the day. Who is the hottest chick you ever banged? You must have banged some hot chicks. Who's the hottest chick Dan Patrick ever banged?
Dan Patrick
I think it was Joy Behar. Joy Behar.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Jesus. Talk about that view. Hello.
Dan Patrick
But when you're gonna do the stand up.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah.
Dan Patrick
How much is gonna be with impressions?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah. I would say it's probably like 30% woven in, and I'm very excited about it. Like, I love, like, Eddie Murphy Raw, and that's a big blueprint for me and Jim Carrey's stuff and Robin Williams stuff and the way those guys would seamlessly weave in impressions through the material for me, like, the content has to lead. Obviously, I'm doing these voices, but I think a separating factor that I hope to achieve is that you need to have actual content. You need to have actual jokes and substance behind what you're doing. It's not enough in my mind, I started doing voices on stage and I would go, hello, it's Stewie Griffin. Great to be here. It's fantastic. You know, I get away with doing the voices, but now as a comedian, I want to really, like, have substance behind what. What I'm saying.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. I was talking to Frank Kelly Endo about amazing is to have that context or point of view that it has to lead to something.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Absolutely.
Dan Patrick
Because everybody. And they probably come up to you and you go, hey, let me do an impersonation for you. But then it doesn't. It all it does is sound like. Like I can do Ronald Reagan.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Well, yeah. That's timely.
Dan Patrick
I know.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
So that's. That's what gets all the 27 year olds aroused.
Dan Patrick
But it doesn't lead anywhere right now. Fritzi. Fritzi does. Marge Simpson.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Oh, really?
Dan Patrick
It's really great to meet you. Thanks for being here on the show.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Well, there goes my boner. But anyways, that was. That was amazing. That was. That was actually fantastic. That was awesome. And Hank and some actors get paid millions of dollars to do that a year.
Dan Patrick
Hank is there.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Exactly.
Dan Patrick
Yeah.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
That was awesome. That was great.
Dan Patrick
But I'm sure people come up to you and you go, hey, no, for sure.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Like, now I'm at an interesting point, like, where I'm still very much coming up, but there is the occasional time where people will yell at Howard Stern, Jeff Goldblum, you know, and I say, hello, very good to see you. Thank you. Jeff Goldblum. G L D B L U M. Yes, yes. So I do love to satisfy the people that come up to me and. And ask for that.
Dan Patrick
When did you feel that it changed when you kind of hit social media because it. I think it exploded a little bit.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah, it's just. It was a big explosion. It's all just been incremental. Like I, you know, I have to take a step back often to think how crazy. Like, it's crazy being here with you. I'm such a fan and every day something kind of wild happens, you know, and I'm having these opportunities at a pretty young age, I would say, but it just feels very incrementally. I'm hustling kind of like a maniac and I'm trying to do as much as possible and entertain different audiences and do it a different way. But I'm using traditional media and social media and it's been a grind, but I love it.
Dan Patrick
He's a Matt friend and you can go to@mattfriend.com find me on truth Social.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
On only fans huge with the alt. Right. Were you.
Dan Patrick
Were you a class clown?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I like, I definitely was making noises like George Carlin, the Class Clown album. Like, I was definitely making noises and trying to make people laugh in class. I don't think I was too crazy. But yes, there was an. I'm the youngest child too, so there's an element of I need the attention. And I do like to make people laugh. Absolutely.
Dan Patrick
But is there a darkness? It feels like every comedian they talk about, you know, there's a downside.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I don't have that. Like, I read Mel Brooks's autobiography and I related a lot to that. I think, like Nick Kroll has talked about it. I just wanted to make people laugh as a kid and, you know, for. That's kind of the reason I. My dad did trap me in a closet for 10 years. But other than that, no. But, no, I just. I loved make like. I just like the silly things. We're in such a divided time now and I want to make people laugh. Like the one, the number one impression I think that can make people laugh is actually the impression that I do to seduce women on the road. And many of you, you're all looking at me thinking, oh, you seduce women. That's surprising. But I do this impression because I'm going to warn you, every woman wants to have sex with this person. So I do it. The Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell, Something about the way he looks like he's holding in an intense amount of diarrhea at all times is seductive. But I have to say, you didn't.
Dan Patrick
Do that impression for him, did you?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I don't know if he would Remember? But I didn't do it for him now. But I just say it's crazy being here because this is a full circle because I hosted the NHL awards here a year ago. So the National Hockey League had an award show. Is the worst audience you can possibly fathom. You know how athletes are. There's nothing like performing in a room full of brain damaged, one toothed Yugoslavian hockey players. They're like, very funny, Jew boy. What's next? This is my impression. This is my best impression. It's a silent depression. Think Charlie Chaplin. This is every NHL player reacting to one of my jokes. This is it. They look like they wanted it. It was like performing at the Kremlin for. It's like they're all named Putin and Bobrovsky. I'm like, what is going on here?
Dan Patrick
Have you been asked to host the ESPYs?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I haven't yet. But I love Norm MacDonald and his was like the top. But these are the. That's what I would love to do one day. That would be amazing having been there when Norm.
Dan Patrick
When I was at the mother. Yes.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
How was that it?
Dan Patrick
If you wanted to have a bomb go off and have athletes go, what is going on here? And he didn't like he was going after people. He wanted fire.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
You know what? You know, he would shake hands with people after he would bomb. Like at the end of a show. Norm would go to the end of the club and shake hands with every person that was there. Like, I think Jeff Ross has talked about this, but I think it wasn't bombing Norm MacDonald. I think he was just so smart that people weren't really getting the jokes.
Dan Patrick
Yeah.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I mean, which is different than having a bad material and bombing.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. Like Andy Kaufman knew what he was doing. You weren't going to get it.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah.
Dan Patrick
But Norm. If you got it, great. But he wasn't going to slow down for you to catch up.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah, yeah.
Dan Patrick
Whenever you talk to I. Okay. I'm playing golf in Vegas.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yes.
Dan Patrick
At Shadow Creek. Yep. And all of a sudden I see Norm and Kato Kalin.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Okay. This was last week.
Dan Patrick
Right. And. And so we're outside having drinks and all of a sudden Norm comes up with Kato and sits down and just. Just riffs for 30 minutes.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
He seemed like he was the best.
Dan Patrick
It was. It was great. You're talking about Kato.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. He was funny.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
The judge from the OJ trial.
Dan Patrick
Where do you want to be in 10 years? Aside from in a casino?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah. No, I hope. Talk show casino circuit in 10 years, maybe. Who knows maybe I'll be interviewed by Oprah on an escalator. This is. No, this is. I want to be. That's a great question. Well, first of all, I was wanting to say it is surreal being with you. I'm a huge fan of this show and of you and thank you for having me. I want to be. The big goal is like I want to be my generation's version of like Kimmel and hosting the Oscars and having my like kind of a. Whatever the next incarnation of a late night show is, is what I, is what I aspire to do. And that's definitely more acting. And I'm gonna do my first special next year. But I'm at this kind of interesting point in my career now where I built a following and now it's kind of taking it to the next place. But I definitely want to. I love like Johnny Carson and again, like kind of a throwback to that era, but I love the intersection of politics and news and pop culture and I hope to be at the center of it.
Dan Patrick
Paula, you have the name for the standoff central special?
Paulie
Yeah, his first stand up special. Friendly Fire.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Friendly Fire. Oh, my God. Where am I shooting this? The Palisades. Jesus.
Dan Patrick
I thought it was going to be Fox and Friends.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Fox and Friend. Fox and Matt Friends.
Dan Patrick
Yeah.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I've been going on that show which has been very fun, actually.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. Like Vivica A. Fox could be on with Fox and Friends.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yes. Or me and Jamie Foxx do a special together and then it's Fox and Friend.
Dan Patrick
I like that.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yes.
Dan Patrick
You can go to. At Matt Friend. Yes.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah. @madfriend.com Instagram the Matt Friend. Follow me there a bunch of shows. I have Tempe, Arizona coming up. Very excited. And I'll talk about this memory of doing the Dan Patrick show in, in Vegas.
Dan Patrick
Do you pick up on my voice?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah, you do. You have a great. You have resting broadcaster voice.
Dan Patrick
Right?
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I can't really do a Dan quite yet, but can you. How do I do you? Give me, give me some insight.
Dan Patrick
I don't know.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I don't know.
Dan Patrick
I don't know.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I don't know.
Dan Patrick
Oh, I don't know.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I don't know.
Dan Patrick
Oh, I know.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Oh, I know.
Dan Patrick
I know. You don't know.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Well, let me just say. Can we just talk about one. Do we have any. Do we have time?
Dan Patrick
Okay.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Is this all gonna get cut? It's fine.
Dan Patrick
It might.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
It's okay. Yeah, yeah.
Dan Patrick
I mean, the whole thing. We're not even recording this.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Oh, fantastic. I want to ask you about Brockmire, by the way.
Dan Patrick
Okay.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Because so Hank was my dad's college roommate.
Dan Patrick
Okay.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
And I don't know my whole life. He's like the best. And I love when you collaborate with him. Can you tell me about the first time you collaborated with Hank and Brockmire?
Dan Patrick
I don't even remember.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Fantastic.
Dan Patrick
No, Like I remember doing it, but I like you're not doing it in real time. Right, Right. Like I did the Simpsons, but I'm not doing it with any other characters.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Right.
Dan Patrick
I'm just the broadcaster doing Homer Simpson skipping rocks. So that was that. I just played the announcer guy. You remember Paul?
Paulie
A little bit before Brockmire ever happened, Hank was on our show and he started doing like a fake sportscaster call. I don't know if that was a precursor of that or not, but he was doing this like mocking sportscaster calls like famous ones in history. And then like three years later, he kind of stumbled into Brockmire. But I remember him.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
He's the best. Yeah.
Dan Patrick
But I even said to him, I said, you should think about doing like a show off this character.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I've never seen my dad laugh as hard as that first original four minute broadcire short. And it's just, it was so great. I, I, I love that show. And also I love him because like you, we have this like resting broadcaster voice where people think I'm telling a joke all the time, but I'm just talking regularly. Like I'm not trying to do a bit right now. This is just how I sound.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, you have 27.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Seth McFarland said even Helen Keller could hear my voice, which was a nice compliment. Okay, so thank you to Seth.
Dan Patrick
Too soon though for that. Too soon. Rest in peace at Matt, friend.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
This is amazing. You could smell the, you could smell the defeat while doing this talk show. I've never done a talk show where I could literally hear regret as I'm trying to form a joke. Imagine doing a talk show. You just see nine strippers walk by. It's 9:45 in the morning. God, this is amazing. Dan, Patrick, just remember us, Matt.
Dan Patrick
You know when you're a big deal and then I see you and then you whisk. Right.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
You think I would do that?
Dan Patrick
Yes.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Why do you say that? What is it about me that makes you think that?
Dan Patrick
I don't know. I just got a feeling of the future last night when I saw you whisk right by me.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
First of all, let's add some context. I didn't know you guys were there. I was on my way to dinner. I was wearing AirPods. I should have.
Dan Patrick
Because you didn't want to be bothered.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Absolutely not. I'm the opposite of that. No matter what level I ever achieve, I love doing the content. I'm not going to be like, you know, having an Alec Baldwin throwing a fit at a paparazzi moment. I mean, I love Alec Baldwin, but I love it. The people, the fans are what's making me. Come on.
Dan Patrick
Okay, we didn't feel that.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Except for Dan Patrick.
Dan Patrick
We didn't feel that way last night. We're like, what a prick.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Is that really how you felt?
Dan Patrick
No, No, I, I didn't. You whisk right by me.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Damn you.
Dan Patrick
Whisk right by me.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I wish I had known it was you.
Dan Patrick
And, and my, my guy who's the director, he said, oh, that's my friend. And I go. And I'm with. I'm. I'm with my best friend, My best guy who does impersonation.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah, I know. The amazing.
Dan Patrick
The og.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Do you realize that if I had known that was you, I would have stopped because I would have tried to book myself on the show and then I got lucky because you have a genius producer who, who asked if I would do it.
Dan Patrick
Yes.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
So.
Dan Patrick
Well, we were. I'm happy that we ran into.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I'm so happy that we did this. And, and thank you for having me. This was awesome. F1 tomorrow.
Dan Patrick
All right, Matt. Mad friend.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yes.
Dan Patrick
@Madfriend.Com we'll be back after this, I think. On the Dan Patrick show, Fox Sports.

Robert Smith
I'm Robert Smith. This is Jacob Goldstein, and we used to host a show called Planet Money. And now we're back making this new podcast called Business History about the best ideas and people and businesses in history and some of the worst people, horrible ideas and destructive companies in the history of business. Having a genius idea without a need for it is nothing. It's like not having it at all. Very simple, elegant lesson. And you know what?
This is the story of how one man's spotlight led the path for so many others and how we carry his legacy today. Listen to Starring Desi Arnaz and Wilmer Valderrama. That's part of the My Cultura podcast network, available on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Dr. Jesse Mills
Hey there. Dr. Jesse Mills here. I'm the director of the men's clinic at UCLA Health, and I Want to tell you about my new podcast called.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
The Mailroom, and I'm Jordan, the show's producer. And like a lot of guys, I haven't been to the doctor in many years.
Robert Smith
I'll be asking the questions we probably.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Should be asking but aren't, because guys.
Dr. Jesse Mills
Usually don't go to the doctor unless a piece of their face is hanging.
Paulie
Off or they've broken a bone.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Depends which bone.
Dr. Jesse Mills
Well, that's true. Every week, we're breaking down the unique world of men's health, from testosterone and fitness to diets and fertility and things that happen in the bedroom.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
You mean sleep?
Dr. Jesse Mills
Yeah, something like that. Jordan. We'll talk science without the jargon and get you real answers to the stuff you actually wonder about.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
It's going to be fun, whether you're 27, 97, or somewhere in between.
Dr. Jesse Mills
Men's Health is about more than six packs and supplements. It's about energy, confidence, and connection. We don't just want you to live longer. We want you to live better. So check out the mailroom on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your favorite shows.
Dan Patrick
What up, y'?
Matt Friend
All?
Dan Patrick
It's your boy Kev onstage. I want to tell you about my new podcast called Not My Best Moment, where I talk to artists, athletes, entertainers, creators, friends, people I admire who've had massive success about their massive failures. What did they mess up on? What is their heartbreak, and what did they learn from it? I got judged horribly. The judges were like, you're trash. I don't know how you got on the show.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Boo.
Dan Patrick
Somebody had tomatoes.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I'm kidding.
Dan Patrick
But if they had tomatoes, they would have thrown the tomatoes. Let's be honest. We've all had those moments we'd rather forget. We bumped our head, we made a mistake, the deal fell through, we're embarrassed. We failed. But this podcast is about that and how we made it through.
Pandora (Stat of the Day)
So when they sat me down, they.
Dan Patrick
Were kind of like. We got into the small talk, and they were just like, so, what do you got? What ideas? And I was like, oh, no.
Robert Smith
What?
Dan Patrick
Check out not my best moment with me, Kev on Stage on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, or wherever you get your podcasts. Meet Friday, courtesy of Don's Prime Fountain Blue Las Vegas original restaurant restaurant concept. The wagyu that we had that is brought in from Durango, Colorado, should be illegal. That is great. So it's got that 1950s feel as far as the restaurant goes. But the tomahawk steak, the wagyu Mac and cheese was great, too, Todd. I saw that you dove into that.
Robert Smith
A couple scoops of that.
Marvin
Yes, I did.
Dan Patrick
Absolutely and rightfully so. But thank you again for the hospitality here at Fontainebleau. David and company who made all this happen. Want to thank Joe and Rachel, who design all of our sets here. Round of applause for them. All right, Joe and Rachel. All right, Joe, Rachel, husband and W who travel. They do all of our super bowl sets. And then Rachel said, I'll take care of you. And if you're watching on Peacock of the NBC Sports Network, she did all of this, all of the designs behind us. So thank you for all the great work. The big German who drove the TV truck and made all of this happen as well. As far as the camera.
Seaton
Good job.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. And his brother Jay. All right, shout out to Jay.
Paulie
Mr. Vegas.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah.
Dan Patrick
Jay. Who has no idea what Marvin's name is.
Marvin
Oh, Mark, I'm so bad with names.
Dan Patrick
I'm sorry.
Marvin
Melvin.
Dan Patrick
He loves it here.
Paulie
He can smoke inside.
Dan Patrick
He didn't know Seaton's name for a long time either, I don't think.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Sexton.
Dan Patrick
Sexton, yeah. How do you get Sexton?
Seaton
I'm not sure. It happens, though, more than you think.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, Sexton also. The great camera people made all of this happen. Dylan in the back room, guys. Jade representing iheartradio. All the people who make. There's so many people who make this great, make this easy for us. It's kind of plug and play. We just sit here and act foolish and do it for three hours. So thank you again for all the hospitality here at the Fountain Blue, by the way. Sunday night, it'll be the Buccaneers. It's Baker Mayfield and Matthew Stafford in The Rams. Sunday, 7 Eastern. That'll start on NBC. And Peacock, Matthew Stafford, leading candidate for MVP honors here. All right, final results of the poll question. What do you have for me, Seaton?
Seaton
Yeah, we got a bunch of them there. We have the most must win game. It's surprising where people would want to watch the game race, too. Believe it or not, most must win game is the Chiefs this weekend. They ran away with that one. Where people would want to watch an F1 race is a casino balcony followed by TV. And then what are you. What's the best part of F1? The speed, followed by the radio meltdowns. You know what's last crashes?
Dan Patrick
Well, they do. They just kind of nudge each other. You don't. Yeah. Thank God, you know. You don't have those. Well, yeah, at those speeds that they're going at. Yeah. Now we become Formula One experts.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
I feel like totally F1, guys. Yeah.
Dan Patrick
I feel like.
Show Producer / Fox Sports Radio Announcer
Yeah.
Dan Patrick
Seaton keeps walking by where they have these jackets that you can get that are Formula one jackets. And he's walked by it a couple of times, and he goes, I should.
Seaton
I really should get one of those.
Dan Patrick
And then he goes, but you know what's gonna happen? I'll end up brushing my teeth and I'll spill something on. You know that toothpaste on the jacket? Yeah, yeah.
Seaton
It's like anytime you see something, you know, like, they're. They're nice, you know, and they cost a little bit, and I'm just like, you know what? I know that I'm an idiot. And I'm just gonna. I'm wearing. Brushing my teeth. I'm gonna dribble it all down there. That's not gonna come out and be like, why did I buy this? I'm just gonna ruin.
Dan Patrick
And I don't know how you wear it, because back home, right to the.
Seaton
Olive Garden, it's not my style really, But I do like it. I see it, and I'm like, I want it. I like that.
Dan Patrick
Yes. Marvin.
Marvin
You would only have to listen to, like, club music when you wear that. You just. This is the rhythm of the. That's the only music you can listen to if you wear those jackets.
Dan Patrick
Oh, yeah. This day in sports history.
Paulie
Paul, I got a couple for you, Dan. 1934, the New York Yankees purchased the contract of minor Leaguer Joe DiMaggio from San Francisco at the Pacific Coast League. That worked out pretty well for them. Oh, and then one of my favorites, if you'll indulge me, the flu lost. On this date in 1977, Walter Payton, who had the flu, ran for 275 yards and made the flu eat it. And the Minnesota Vikings, we never talk.
Dan Patrick
About the flu game with Walter Payton.
Paulie
Unbelievable. Killed the flu.
Dan Patrick
Wow.
Paulie
He was probably food poisoned as well. And he still ran for 275.
Dan Patrick
