You are listening to the Dan Patrick show on Fox Sports Radio Final hour on this Friday. It's a meat Friday at that. I'm not going to say it's a controversial one because the menu. Maybe you wouldn't pair these foods together. How about non traditional meat Friday? We have jumbo crab cake sandwiches and we have smoked turkey club sandwiches. Who has it better than we do? Nobody. Final hour. We'll talk to Mark Messier. He'll join us coming up here momentarily. Status of the Day brought to you by Panini America. The official trading cards of the Dan Patrick Show. I have the point spreads for the games with the Cavaliers. They're three point favorites against the Pacers at Indiana Thunder. Five point favorites at Denver Celtics. Tomorrow, five point favorites against the Knicks, the Timberwolves five point favorites against the Warriors. All the road teams are favored coming up either tonight or tomorrow. 877-3-DP show email address dpdanpatrick.com Twitter handle @DP Show Poll Question for the final hour of the program is what? Seaton? Well, we had an update to a pretty hard hitting controversial poll question earlier. Whose career do you want? Your options were Spike Lee, Bob Costas and Mark Messier. And Bob was running away with that one. Okay. We've since updated it to Spike Lee, Bob Costas, Mark Messier and Pablo Torre. Okay. All of our guests today, correct. Pablo Torres got 4.5% of that vote. That is a respectable showing in this group of people right there. Yeah, he just had a hard hitting report about what's going on with Bill Belichick and his girlfriend and apparently she's not allowed to be part of the football festivities in the building on the football field. Wonder how Bill is going to respond to that. Yes, Marvin, that's terrible because she's going to miss North Carolina winning five games. Wow. Yes, Paulie, I checked. Pablo Torre. No Stanley cup victories. He doesn't have. I checked though. Okay. Can skate though. By the way, Caps beat the Hurricanes. That series tied at a game of peace. Oilers beat the Golden Knights 54 in overtime. Leon Dry Seidel has two overtime game winning goals this year and that ties him with Asa Tikonen for the most by any Oiler in a single postseason. He's a former Oiler. Mark Messier joining us on the program. Mess, good to see you again. Did Asa Tikonen make his, his hockey debut in the Stanley cup final against Philadelphia? Does that sound right? Yeah, yeah, I think if. I'm not, if I remember correctly, I think it was 1987, if I remember correctly. He came over, we had an injury, he slotted in and never looked back. I took my wife to that game. That was one of our first dates. I was working and I brought her to Philadelphia and she knew nothing about hockey. End of the first period, Gretz is on a rush. She stands up and I, I almost had, I almost got in a fight because these guys behind me were, you know, MF and her and the whole thing. And she, I said, you got to see Gretzky. So we ended up going to that series. I just remember Asa Tikonen and they were like, he's making his hockey debut, NHL debut. And I'm like, who does that? You make your debut in the Stanley cup final. Amazing. Well, he got, he got on the ice and as you know, Essa was quite a tough customer, an agitator. He had everybody up in ar, everybody chasing them all over the ice. Philadelphia had a bunch of tough guys. They're thinking to themselves, who's this rookie from Finland coming in here and stepping all over our turf? He didn't care. He was tough as nails and that's what he made his whole career on. I like the gear you got on. Let me. If you're watching on Peacock Mess has a game 7. It's a platform here, sports and entertainment. So you're officially licensed NBA apparel. Amazon is where you can get it right now. Hoodies, T shirts, all the teams. Game seven. Then you're going to do football, you're going to do basketball, you're going to do wnba. I mean, you got it all going on here. So how did this come about? Very exciting. Well, we, we got an opportunity to. A couple fellas came into my partner's office and asked him if you wanted to invest in their company. He goes, what's your company? They go, we, we own all the IP to game seven. He called me up and go, do you know anything about this? I go, I don't. But if they have what they say they have, we should buy the company. We did. We spent two years locking up all the IP intervate marks around the world and came up with a five part series on, on Amazon prime about legendary game 7 Moments, building a community. And now we're in the merch business partnering with all the leagues and it's been an exciting journey for all of us. It's been a lot of, as you say, it's a lot of hard work to get to the point where, you know, we had the five part series come online. We were very excited about that. But now to be partnering with all the major leagues with our merchandise is really exciting. Yeah, you got your Knicks gear on what you gotta have next year on now. Yeah, you do. Yeah, you do. What's that atmosphere? Compare the atmosphere of a Knicks playoff game and a Rangers playoff game when you were playing. I got to see it firsthand up close in 94 where we both went to the finals and we ended up winning the Stanley cup in 1994. The Knicks are right behind us. Into the finals, got beat. It was. The city was electric. We had a great relationship with the Knicks back then. We were very close with the players. We saw each other in and around the city. We supported each other. But when the Knicks and Rangers are relevant when they're in the playoffs like we're seeing right now, it's a different feel for the entire league. Nobody does it like New York, the Nick history, the great players that have come, come through there. Madison Square Garden, it's. There's nothing like it. And we can see that happening again now being up to nothing against Boston. Game three is going to be amazing. Which NBA player would have been a good hockey enforcer? Oh, there's a few. I grew up watching basketball back in the, in the 80s when you know, the bench, each team had the bench and they'd put their tough guys on at the end of the game to kind of loosen things up. Much like hockey reinforcers coming on there. But I, I remember the Detroit Pistons, you know, I was fascinated with the Celtics, Lakers matchups back and they had some tough guys that would come on at the end of the game when the game was out of hand and boy, there was you, you, you. He didn't go into that basket uncontested trying to score late in the game. There were so many guys that were tough in basketball that would have been amazing. But you know, Bill Lambert, if you want to try it, you know, start with one. That was notorious, the bad boys in Detroit through their championship runs. But those, those are tough guys. Scoring is up in the NHL. I think this is the fifth consecutive year and in the playoffs. Any reasons or reason because of that? I think we did a great job coming out the work stoppage back in 2006, I believe. I think we recognize that our game, the best part of our game is the skill and the speed that which is played at. We were getting locked down, slowed down by better coaching and the ability to hook and hold and slow the, the player speed through the neutral zone. We eliminated that. We took out the red line and opened the game up. And as we've seen the last, you know, 15 years or more, the game is so incredibly fast. The skill level of the players has probably never been higher. We, every night we're just amazed at what the players can do. The conditioning, the technology into the equipment. The goaltenders are better than ever, but we're still finding ways to score. It seems now nowadays that no lead is safe. Like in the, you know, 15 years ago if you had a two nothing lead going to third period, it was pretty much a foregone conclusion. You're going to win that game. But not anymore. The rules that we implemented have really opened up the game. They've made it more exciting and it's just a great, it's just a great product now to watch the NHL in the playoffs. Yeah, we had P.K. subin on and he said that, you know, the lines, your, your third and fourth lines are so much more talented that there's no let up when you change lines. You're bringing in guys who could have been great in the juniors as a score. Well, oftentimes you see these guys that are playing in role role or depth role players on teams that had the ability to score 40, 50 goals in junior hockey or even in the American Hockey League. They come into the National Hockey League and they got to figure out a way to help the team. They can't surpass McDavid or Dreitzeutle on the Oilers even though they could on most teams. So what do they got to do? They got to figure out a way to check. They got to figure out a way to play tough. They got to figure out a way to be, you know, an ad add on to the, to the team. But when they do get a chance, of course they have that, that talent and that ability. Teams that go on to win the Stanley cup have players in position that are overqualified in the depth positions. Basically in the third and fourth lines they figure out how to play a role a much different game than they're used to because that's what the team requires. But when they get a chance, they can score. And we've seen that in the playoffs again this year. Did you ever hit Gretzky? Well, it was one of the hardest things for me as a, as a person and as a player. When he got traded to L. A in, in 1988, you know, we grew up brothers. We had won the four Stanley Cups together. He got traded into to the Los Angeles and of course, who do we play? The first round of the playoffs that year was Wayne Gretzky and the LA Kings. You have to put friendships aside. The problem with that is that he was not easy to hit. He was so elusive on the ice. He had a sixth sense about him that no other players had that's ever played the game. But I was, I became the captain when he left. And the hardest thing to do was to understand that if I had a chance to put him in the crosshairs, I was going to finish him. But it wasn't easy. I've been asking guests here recently, you can start your team with Ovechkin or Sidney Crosby. Who would you pick? That's a great question. I, I, I've always been a massive Sidney Crosby fan from the time he came into the league. The way he played, the electrifying open ice player that he was, the, the work ethic that he had on, in the ice, on, off the ice, the way he represented the game and a center ice position. When you build teams, you're built through the goaltender, the four defensemen and the two center iceman. To have a player like Sidney Crosby to start an organization that plays a center ice position I think is critical because the backbone of any championship team comes through the middle of the ice. And then you look at Ovechkin with the, what he's been able to do in his career. But I always start in the middle of the ice, the center, the two center ice positions, number one and number two, the four defenseman and the goaltender. That's where you build your team around. But look at, if Ovechkin fell in my lap, I would not be disappointed. It might hurt if he fell in your lap as big as he is. That's true, that's true. Hey, good luck with business here. Good luck with the playoffs as well. It's great to visit with you again. Great being on with you, Dan. And your tracksuit's on its way in the mail. Oh, okay. I like that. When's the last time you checked? Somebo? Oh, it's been, it's been too long actually. Even in a little bit of pickup hockey that I play in, maybe my, maybe my son or my nephews, I gave Him a little, but to run into the boards playing some pickup hockey. Wait, you. You get out there on the ice. I still love to skate as much as I can. Before COVID we were skating a lot and playing some little games here and there, but I got to get back on the ice. It's a great game because it's low impact and great conditioning. So love being on the ice. One of the greatest games into retirement that you can play well. Yarmier Younger still playing, isn't he? Well, he. I think. I think he is still playing. God bless him for this, the career that he's an amazing to keep. He's like 54, isn't he? It's. Well, you know, Gordie Howe played right into 52 and he was playing in the National Hockey League. Yeah, Gordie Howard. It's ins. I played against Gordy Howe when I was 17 years old in the Wha. Man, I couldn't believe it. I was lining up against Gordie Howe. My mom and my dad were that came to the game and visit. My mom looked at my dad. I go, what the hell did you get him into? Gordy's gonna kill him. Thank you, Mess. Great to talk to you again. Great talking to you too, Dan. That's Mark Messier, the ESPN NHL Lead Studio Analyst hall of Famer, won six Stanley Cups and Game 7. You can find it on Amazon. So you got hoodies, T shirts, it's all on Amazon. They're going to have football, they're going to have wnba, they got everybody. So that's a big deal. And you can see him on the point pregame at 7:30 Eastern on ESPN in the studio May 13 also in between periods with the Stars and the Jets. Yeah, it's weird, you know, I just remember, I think Asa Tekken and his number was 10. And I just remember them saying, oh, he's making his NHL debut in the Stanley Cup Final on the road in Philadelphia. And I remember I was at the game and I was there to do interviews after the game and I brought my girlfriend who's now my wife, and I said, you got to go see Wayne Gretzky play. She said, yeah, sure. I remember her brothers who are big New Jersey Devil fans. They were so upset that I took her because she didn't know anything about hockey. I said, I'm not trying to date you guys. I'm trying to date her. We'll take a break. We'll get phone calls. Coming up. 8 7, 7, 3 DP show email address DP danpatrick.com Twitter handle @tp show back after this. On November 5, 2018 at 6:33am, a red Volkswagen Golf was found abandoned in a ditch out in Sleephole Valley. The driver's seat door was open. No traces of footsteps leaving the vehicle. No belongings were found except for a cassette tape lodged in the player. On that tape were 10 vile. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Grotesque. Oh my God. Oh my God. Horrific stories that to this day have been KE until now. You feeling this too? A horror anthology podcast. Listen on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2020, a group of young women in a tidy suburb of New York City found themselves in an AI fueled nightmare. Someone was posting photos. It was just me naked. Well, not me, but me with someone else's body parts on my body. Parts that looked exactly like my own. I wanted to throw up. I wanted to scream. It happened in Levittown, New York. But reporting the series took us through the darkest corners of the Internet and to the front lines of a global battle against deepfake pornography. This should be illegal, but what is this? This is a story about a technology that's moving faster than the law and about vigilantes trying to stem the tide. I'm Margie Murphy. And I'm Olivia Carville. What do you want to say, Todd, Besides the fact that I love Billy Joel? You can't sing. I can't sing? No. If you want to talk about Billy Joel, you can talk about Billy Joel. You're not singing. Can I share my poll question idea, which has way too many suggestions to. To actually list them all? Okay, go ahead. Since it's Billy Joel's birthday today. Number 76. Which song best typifies Bill Belichick these days? Oh, no. And the choices would be an innocent man. A matter of trust. Big shot. Don't ask me why I like that one. I don't want to be alone. That was on Glass Houses side too. I go to extremes I love you just the way you are Leave a tender moment alone My life only the good guy young she's always a woman Alrighty. Wait, we had a few more. Oh, she's got away Sometimes a fantasy Tell her about it. The night is still young Uptown girl we didn't start the fire and you may be right okay. All righty. Thank you, Todd. Billy Joel. There you go. 76 years of age. God bless him. Yeah, we're going strong. Can't wait till next year. We can do it again. I got some phone calls I'll get to. We'll Play the game. Best weekend sports. Who had the best week in sports? Not the best weekend in sports. So people get confused. It's the best week in sports. Also, NFL odds to make the playoffs. Just got these from DraftKings. Who has better odds to make the playoffs, Cowboys or the Panthers? It's the Cowboys, but not by a large margin. Plus 210 to plus 250. Who has better odds, the Cowboys or the Bears? It's The Bears. Bears plus 160. How about the Cowboys and the Jags? The Jags plus 155. Browns are plus 800. Giants plus 650. Raiders plus 370. Titans plus 370. Panthers plus 250. So just got those. Let's see who had the best week in sports. Todd, your recommendation? Your nominee is Jalen Brunson and the New York Knickerbockers for sure. With two 20 point comebacks in Boston. Okay, Seaton, who had the best week in sports? You're gonna hate this, and I apologize, but there's a player from Barcelona named Lamina Mali. 17. He, even at 17, is easily one of the best players in the world. And Barcelona just got knocked out of Champions League, but he was an absolute monster for them. That kid had a great week. Marvin, best week in sports. Tyrese Halliburton of the Indiana Pacers. Okay, game winner. They're up 20 on the Cavs. Yeah. Oh, I would have to go with the Chicago White Sox. They're 10 and 28. They're not in contention for anything. But there was mixed reports whether the new Pope was a Cubs fan or a Sox fan yesterday. And after some good reporting, they found out he grew up a Sox fan. And so that's the best pub the socks have gotten in a while. Okay. All right. I would say Tyrese Halliburton or I would say the New York Knick fans had a great week in sports. Boy, but they're nervous now because, you know, you're probably saying, okay, going into the series with Boston, we're not supposed to win. Let's just be respectable. Let's. Let's be a tough out for the Celtics. Let's take them to seven. Well, now you take the first two games and now you're thinking, oh, my God, didn't think we'd be in this position. We got a win on Saturday. I, I, like this was posed on the mothership. More of a must win for the Knicks or the Celtics on Saturday. And I thought, I'm going to say the Celtics really feels like a must win for the Celtics because you have to win for the next five, and if you don't win on Saturday, then you have to sweep the next four. Feels must, Winnie. It does. It's a must winning the Pacers and the Cavaliers. It's a must win for the Cavaliers. Same thing. Yes, Marvin. I'm most interested in celebrity celebrity row at the Garden to see all the people that haven't been there all year. Like, oh, look, he's a real big Knicks fan. Come on, get out of here. By the way, Shay and Irving on the gambling podcast did bring this up because we were seeing if, you know, Shay would take the bet. The Cowboys weren't going to make the playoffs. I think the over under seven and a half wins. Well, Shea came on the show and said, well, I'll do it, but I, I, you know, you got to help my odds here. Well, Paulie and Seaton weren't willing to do that. Well, Shea talked about a bet proposal, a new bet proposal on the Cowboys making or not making the playoffs. And he was singling out you and Seaton yesterday on DP Takes a Gamble. So, Danny, on the phone call yesterday, you know, I talked about the Pickens trade, which I think is a gamble, but I think it's a healthy gamble, yada, yada. And then I was told to call back in because Paulie wanted to make a bet. Yeah. So the Cowboys to make the playoffs. Right now, all over the Internet. It's plus 170ish. And he tried to get me on even money, which was exploitative. The only way I'll take even money on that bet is if he lets me come and teach a class of his or has me as a guest speaker. And I'll take even money there. And with Seaton, I'll do even money if he's not allowed to talk about soccer or politics until the back cash, I'll do it. I'll do it. But they're cowards and they won't. They won't jump with it. Okay, does anybody want a piece of Shea? Straight up on the Cowboys making the playoffs, not making the playoffs. Seaton can't talk politics or soccer until the bed is up. And Paulie, you would have to have Shea go to Sacred Heart University. He'd get to be a guest speaker or he would be able to teach the class. Right. I'd clearly have to run through campus security on this one. I don't know if they had the autonomy to walk him in. And I'm not sure what he would teach, what his field of expertise? Well, you could have him as. Don't do this, kids. Right. You know, when you. When you graduate from school, don't be this. Yeah. Don't be like him. Yeah. With Seaton not being able to talk soccer, I think that might hurt the show. If there's a soccer topic, we're gonna need Seaton. Well, it depends if you want to place a bet there with Shay and Irving. And how long do I have to not talk? I don't know. Did he say that? Well, because we don't know how long it's going to be. Well, it's the season, so that's not fair to you. Yes, yes, Paul, I'll take it. Because the Cowboys aren't making the playoffs, so the point is moot. Okay. I would double down on my bet. I mean, that's what he tried to do the other day. And you wouldn't do that. He wanted better odds and you wouldn't do that. He passed on the bet that was offered to him. He did not believe in his team. I was too caught up in the finances of it. I thought he was a gambler. Instead, he's a math guy who's trying to make good bets. Okay. All right. So the bet is the Cowboys. You say they don't make the playoffs. If they make the playoffs, Shea gets to go to your school where you're a teacher, and he gets to be a guest speaker. Yeah. Yes. What if I just throw this back towards Shea? Okay, forget about talking soccer and politics. What if my. One of my most favorite thing in the world to do is take shots at the Cowboys on here? Because I hate the Cowboys. Okay. What if I have to speak positively about the Cowboys for that same length of time that he wanted me to not talk soccer? Well, that would be, I guess, the entire season, isn't it? The whole next season? Yeah. Like the following. Is that what we're talking about? Yes, because that's when. As soon as they get eliminated from, you know, playoff contention, then you could. You can. Then you're allowed. Well, nothing's going to change. You're going to rip the Cowboys, and then they don't make the playoffs. Then you rip the Cowboys. Right. But just for some reason, if they should make the Cowboys, I'll speak positively. Yes, you have to speak positive. I'll become a Cowboys enthusiast on the show. Cheerleader. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll do that. Yes, Paul. I like Seaton. Don't enjoy talking about the Cowboys because I think they're non Threatening. Here are the teams that had more wins than them last year. The Eagles, the Commanders, the Lions, the Vikings, the packers, the Bucks, the Falcons, the Rams, the Seahawks, and the Cardinals. That's. Most of the NFC had more regular season victories. Okay. They're really not that close. Stat of the day, brought to you by Panini America. The official trading cards of the Dan Patrick Show. Lance in Oklahoma City. Hi, Lance. What's on your mind? Thanks for holding. Hey, Dan. 58165. I know this is a topic from yesterday, Dan, but the whole birthday song topic. I challenge anybody to be cursed with a worse song than what I am cursed with. What is that? It is Barbara Strikes and the Way We Were. Okay, well, Babs was. Is a great singer. Yeah. We were looking at the actual birth date when you were born that day, and then what was the number one song? Mine was Elvis Presley, Jailhouse Rock. But Babs, Babs, I don't know that I'm. I would be okay with the Way We Were. It was a movie. What's that? Robert Redford? Yeah. Yeah. So, yeah, I don't think that's terrible, Lance, but thanks for the phone call. Jeremiah in Ohio. Hi, Jeremiah. Oh, guys, hey, thanks for taking my call. Long time. First time. 5, 10. 180 pounds of twisted steel and sex appeal. Okay. Jim at call yesterday mentioned that Metallica played the show, but they didn't just play Enter Sandman and Lane Stadium. Pantera was the opening act and they take a back seat to no band. They lit the fuse and that electricity hung in that stadium. And when the first couple chords of Entertainment came on, if there was a roof, it would have blew off. It was that insane. Two hours of rocking. If anybody's on the fence, go to this joke. Thank you, Jeremiah. I don't think I've witnessed Pantera, but I. I'm going to stay in my lane. I don't know anything about Pantera. They're great. Yeah, of course they are. They're great. If there was a roof on that stadium, they would have blown the roof off the stadium as Pantera does. Tear the roof off the. Yeah, yeah. Like Parliament. Yeah, but I don't. I don't know anything about Pantera. Pantera. Yes. Martin, going back to your birthday song, you said Jailhouse Rock. Heartbreak Hotel. Oh, Heartbreak Hotel. Same thing. Yeah. Is it. It's the same song? I think so. Same gravitas. Yeah. You know, same kind of feel with Elvis. So it's. It's Jailhouse rock. Is that right? Heartbreak Hotel. Oh, Heartbreak Hotel. Same song. It doesn't matter. Okay. David in Texas. Hi, David. What's on your mind today, Dan? Second time, long time. Okay, six six two two, 25, I got a little football talk. But first, don't you think Mark Messier looked like a action hero in that phone call? You deal with him. He's like a larger Jason Statham. There you go. Yeah, but my football talk. I'm sorry. It took three days to pick Shadur Sanders and only two days to pick the Pope. All right, all right. I'll give you credit for that. That's. Is that a bloop worthy. Yeah, all right. Clever, funny. Oh, so many people sending me memes yesterday of the Pope and somebody sent me the Pope D. A Pope having the famous Chicago dog in one hand, you know? So everybody, Nike, Michael Jordan Jumpman logo on the Pope's robe. Yeah, Paul, the Pope was the COVID of the Sun Times this morning. The paper. The best joke I heard yesterday. And I wish I could give credit who said it. Chicago, 1 Pope, 0. 4000 yard passers in their history. Yeah, it's true. Not good. Yeah, they got a Pope before they could get a 4,000 yard passer. Yikes. They're going to get both this year. Caleb Williams throws for 4,000. Yeah, Spike Lee was all excited that the Pope went to Villanova and you know, the Knicks have some Villanova ties there and maybe some divine, divine intervention there for them. Alex in Utah. Hi, Alex. What's on your mind today? Morning, gentlemen. Or I guess I should say tusks up, as I guess we say in Utah now. Anyway. Hey, Marvin. Killing the sweatshirt game the last couple days. Two for two, just hitting out of the park. Onto the topic of awesome sequels, I gotta throw Dark Knight into the ring. But the real reason I called was I looked up the stats and three pointers are actually up in the playoffs versus the regular season. But for some reason I'm still like thrilled with the playoff basketball we're seeing. So I'm just, I'm wondering, is the three ball really the problem or is there something else? Because the playoffs are shooting more threes, but the games are still as exciting, I feel like, as they ever were or so. Yeah, just wanted to hear you guys take on that. Have a great weekend, everyone. I don't want to fall into the trap that everybody does and I do occasionally and we talk about the negative aspect of the NBA. I think there's some storylines here that are really interesting. Ratings are up and that should be the focus is watching the Celtics. A tough watch. Yes. When. When you're not hitting threes. Yes, it's a very, very tough watch. But let's say you're a passing offense in the NFL and you keep passing, but you're not completing. You're getting sacked. Like, at what point do you go, you know what? Maybe we do something different. But in the NBA, that doesn't happen. It's not like the Celtics go, you know what? We're not hitting our threes. How about we go to the hoop? But if you were doing this in the NFL, let's say they were stopping your running game, you. You were getting nowhere. Would you continue to do that? Would you maybe change it up a little bit? That's what I don't understand with the Celtics logic. I know they do this really well as well as anybody in the NBA, but this is two games where it hasn't gone, you know, as scripted. They haven't shot well at all. Minnesota hasn't shot well at all. But at some point, you do have to change it up a little bit. Yes, Marvin. But I think the Celtics did change it up because they shot 20 less threes in game two. I just don't think they were just hitting it even inside. When they went inside, there was like a lid on the basket. Yeah, they still shot a ton. 40, 43 pointers is a ton. That's 20 less. But once again, you're not hitting those shots. And now the odds are. And they're still favored, I think, to win this series. That sound right, that the Celtics are still favored to win? I think, from Vegas. That's disrespect right there. Yes, it is. That right there is disrespect. Yeah. Do I expect them to shoot better? Yeah. I mean, they're a great road team, and they, you know, they swept the series with the Knicks. Yes. I expect them to be great. The question is, can they be great? You can't have off nights. You can have one more off night and that's it. The Knicks can have a couple of off nights and still advance. Yes, Paulie. According to DraftKings, as of this morning, the Celtics are still the favorite to win the series. Isn't that amazing? That is surprising. All right, we'll take a break. Last call for phone calls. The American west with Dan Flores is the latest show from the Meat Eater Podcast Network. Hosted by me, writer and historian Dan Flores, and brought to you by Velvet Buck, this podcast looks at a West available nowhere else. Each episode I'll be diving into some of the lesser known histories of the West. I'll then be joined in conversation by guests such as Western historian Dr. Randall Williams and best selling author and meat eater founder Steven Rinella. I'll correct my kids now and then where they'll say when cave people were here. And I'll say, it seems like the Ice Age people that were here didn't have a real affinity for caves. So join me starting Tuesday, May 6, where we'll delve into stories of the west and come to understand how it helps inform the ways in which we experience the region today. On November 5, 2018 at 6:33am, a red Volkswagen Golf was found abandoned in a ditch out in Sleep Hole Valley. The driver's seat door was open. No traces of footsteps leaving the vehicle. No belongings were found except for a cassette tape lodged in the player. On that tape were 10 vile. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Grotesque. Oh my God. Oh my God. Horrific stories that to this day have been kept restricted. This is a story about a technology that's moving fast than the law and about vigilantes trying to stem the tide. I'm Margie Murphy. And I'm Olivia Carvell. This is Levittown, a new podcast from iHeart podcasts Bloomberg and Kaleidoscope. Listen to Levittown on Bloomberg's Big Take podcast. Made it to a Friday with a little help. But Meat Friday had a little smoked turkey club right off the Traeger. Little mayo on there. Tomato. Good to go. Yup. Good to go. Yup. Todd came out, picked up a crab cake. Crab cake fell apart. He Went to the next crab cake that fell apart. I go, no, no, go back to the one you just destroyed. I was curious if all them were gonna do that. I thought firm enough, I could just clip it. But then Paulie did it. He just very smoothly put it right on. I have a lot of work to do with the little clips there, by the way. Do we have the pick six? Are we ready to go with the pick six? Download the DraftKings pick six app now. Use code Patrick and new customers. You play $5, get $50 in pick six credits. Better payouts, bigger wins, only with pick six from DraftKings, the crown is yours. Dylan is here and. Yeah. So Dylan will help us with this now. I'm doing that. Okay. Hi, Dan. All right. Fresh off the grill and now into the fire. Yes, sir. So how do we do this? We go around the room. There's six of us. We pick one over, under. Yeah. What? The player can only be used once. Okay. In the lineup. All right. Yeah. Regardless of the bag. All right, Todd, you go first. I'm going to say Donovan Mitchell goes under 29 and a half points. You're going to say. I'm saying it. Donovan Mitchell under 29 and a half. Seaton. I was gonna say I'm going Joker. Over nine and a half assists. Okay. Yup. Nailed it. All right, Marvin. Tyrese Halliburton over 18 and a half points. Okay, Dylan. I'm gonna go. Jamal Murray over 20 and a half. Dan. Okay, Paul. This is a lock. Chester Holmgren over eight and a half rebounds. Love, Chester. Okay. Over eight and a half rebounds. I'm gonna go joker. I already did joker. You gotta go with him. Aaron Gordon's the money play down there. Oh, can't do the same player twice. Oh, so you're what? You have Gordon left. You have Jared Allen left. I'm gonna go Aaron Gordon over two, one and a half, made three pointers. All right, Dan. We. I also. I placed. Put all those in. And we could win 25 times our wager with this current lineup that we assembled. Okay. How much do you want to wager? A million dollars. Okay. Or 10 bucks. All right, let's. If you put a million dollars up, how much do we get? 25 million. That's a good payout. It's not bad, right? It's risk free. Would we go to work the next day to brag about it? Yeah, and then we'd quit the day after. Now just. That's the start of our gambling career right there. Heck, yeah. Download the DraftKings Pick Six app now use code PATRICK. New customers. You play $5, you get 50 and pick 6 credits. Better payouts, bigger wins, only with pick 6 from Draft Kings. The crown is yours this day in sports history. Paul, just got a couple for you. Johnny Bench. I knew you'd like this one. Johnny Bench, 1973, hit three home runs in a game. It was the second time in his career he achieved the feat. 1993, the Phoenix Suns beat the LA Lakers 112, 104 in overtime to become the first NBA team to lose two playoff games at home and then come back to win three straight. On this date, 2010, Dallas Braden of the A's pitches a perfect game against the Tampa Bay. Raise. Let me see. How about Bill in Florida? Hi, Bill. What's on your mind today? Happy Meat Friday. Okay. Don't talk about worst birthday songs. I guarantee I'm going to be in the clubhouse in the lead. Okay. I was born in 1954. The song, the number one song that day was by Eddie Fisher. Elizabeth Tale is one of her husbands, and it was called oh, My Papa, one of the schmaltziest songs you will ever hear. All right. Thank you, Bill. Schmaltzy Mike in Atlanta. Hi, Mike. What's on your mind today? Hey, guys, good morning. 6, 4, 2, 25. Anytime and long time. I want to touch the subject real quick. The Belichick story and your screener and I talked about it. I don't want to get you guys any trouble, but has anybody broached the subject that Bill could possibly be in the early stages of dementia or some type of a. No, you can't even. No, you can't go there. Can't even speculate. No, I think he's making decisions and, you know, we're looking for a reason why he's making these decisions. Might be just found somebody that really likes him, listens to him, thinks he's fascinating, interesting, maybe that's enough. But it doesn't present well for him if he ever wants to get back in the NFL. Just doesn't. A lot of red flags there. And Pablo Torre, who has a podcast, said that, you know, he talked to 11 different people at North Carolina, had two sources saying that Bill Belichick's girlfriend is basically not allowed to be part of the program there. But I don't think she's employed. I don't know if she has a title, but, you know, they can say, look, you're not employed, so you can't be part of the football program. Let me See Jamie in Pennsylvania. Hi, Jay. What's on your mind? Hey, Dan. I just on record want to say I think the Fritzi Billy Joel man crush has crossed over into the Ned Beatty deliverance. And this is for Fritzi. I love that. Thank you, Jamie. Thank you. And the number of people who don't normally talk to me but have talked to me about Celebrity Family Feud, and they have a strategy here, and that Fritzi should be the last guy so he has time to think, because, you know, when Fritzie gets put on the spot and he doesn't answer or he'll blurt out something like 11. And so I had two people yesterday say, have Fritzi be the last person answering the question. That gives you time to be able to come up with a response. I don't know if. If you feel strongly one way or another about that, but then you probably get the least responses as far as contributions to the show, because it's like batting ninth in the lineup. Like, you'll get up. You'll last chance to get to have the least amount of it bats. I guess all you gotta do is let's just go one for one, Todd. That's it. Yeah. Yeah, that's true. Yeah. I defer to you. Whatever you want the lineup to be, let's do it. I never thought in a million years that I would be thinking about what's my lineup on Celebrity Family Feud. But I've got to come up with our lineup by next Friday. Yes. Paul, like a manager in baseball. When is your lineup card? I. I don't know. I think when we get to the studio, I had somebody say that I should dress just like Steve Harvey. Whatever Steve Harvey is wearing, I should wear the same thing, just like a king of comedy. Yes, yes, yes. Which I'd have to find out what he's wearing and then see if I could replicate that. Give me Dan. Give me Rich. Come on, now. Let's play the Feud. Do you think you'll make Steve Harvey laugh? I'm not gonna try to, because we all know if I try to, it'll fall flat. I hope that I say something that he would find amusing. I would get a kick out of that if he laughed at something. Okay, but are you gonna try or not try? I'm not gonna try. Okay. I think if there's something clever that pops in my head that might be funny, great. But I'm not gonna re. You know, write something on an index card or something. Yeah, Seaton. Write something on an index card is interesting, because I was gonna say, does Todd really believe that he will not try to do something big there? Yes, you. That is. Yeah. I mean, yes, you will, and you know that. But I'm there to win it. Okay? We gotta take it seriously. Yes. Don't be goofing around. That's what we learned. It's brought to you by TruGreen.
