We're here in New York City with T Mobile for Business recording another episode of Revisionist history about how 5G network slicing strengthens trust and and connections across worldwide industries. Slicing can be used for so many different things. We're here with our friends from CNN from Siemens Energy. The ways that it can be used, frankly are limitless and are really, really built to think through. How can T Mobile understand the pain points that our customers have? Smash those pain points and help you deliver very specific outcomes. You are listening to the Dan Patrick show on Fox Sports Radio final hour on this Wednesday. Been a fun show the first two hours. In case you're just joining us, you missed all the fun. 877 3DP show operator Tyler sitting by. Take your phone calls. Have a new poll question for the final hour of the program and we'll hear from the various general managers who have pressing questions put in front of them by the reporters at the combine. That'll be coming up in a moment. The gang's all here. Fritzi, Seaton, Marv, Polly, yours truly. And of course the back room guys, Brooks Koepka and the PGA Tour. They're Headed to Florida. The Bear trap at the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches. That'll be Saturday and Sunday at 3 Eastern on NBC. And Peacock. All right, Seaton, poll question for the final hour of the program is going to be. What are you cognizant of that Cognizant? Yeah. We have a new one for you. Let me wrap up this other one. More annoying sound in sports. A tinny rim in basketball or a metal bat. And baseball. This is at a 6040 split with that tinny rim being the most annoying thing. Yeah, I had to turn off the Texas Tech Cincinnati game last night. And Texas Tech's got a guy who can fill it up. We saw that last night, but Cincinnati was clanging. Who's the guy from Texas Tech? Christian Anderson, sophomore guard. Yeah. And what do you have, like 31 or. Yeah, 31. 11 and 7. Red Raiders. I like it. Sorry. D for us lay people. Fill it up means you score. Oh, you score. Thank you. Fill it up for those of us that didn't play. Yeah. Yes, Todd. Do they call him Hands or Hans Christian Anderson? Hans Christian. Thank you, Todd. That's a very deep cut, but thank you. Thank you for contributing. That's a thought. All right. What else do you have, Seaton? We've got up there. Who is Hans Christian Andersen? Some kind of Christmas fictional character in one of those books. Didn't he, like, skate across the. You know, he was. I just thought it was some fictitious person, like around Christmas time. Hans Christian Andersen. Hans, not Hands. Not Hands. He's a Danish author, Dan. He. The Emperor's New Clothes, the Little Mermaid, the Nightingale, the Red Shoes, etc. Oh, I thought he was a. He skated across the frozen tundra or something. That's Hands Christian. That's his brother, Handsy Hands. I mean, who knew that Hamlet had a brother named Hamnet? Did you guys realize that that's not true? Yeah, no, I think it's true. There's a movie called Hamnet that's out now. In fact, the woman who's going to be the Oscar winner for Best actress is going. Is in that movie, and it's called Hamnet. So they called. There was Hamlet and Hamnet. Yes. Paulie Hamnet is the son of Bill Shakespeare and wife Agnes. And I don't want to spoil anything, okay? I want to tell what happens. It probably doesn't go well for Hamnet. Little Ham. Yeah, but so there was Hamlet and Hamnet. They were brothers, right? They're both real people. Yes. I think Hamnet's the son okay, but is Hamlet. Wait, was he just a fictitious character? I think so. I'm seeing here that Shakespeare's Hamlet, not a real person, but a fictionalized character based on somebody else. Okay, so maybe. Maybe another person. Hamlet is based off of Hamnet. Some Dutch person I'm seeing here. Hans Christian Andersen. Hello? Yes, Todd. Can a fictional character actually have a real brother? Probably right? If you're a fictional person, you can't have a real anything. All right, anything else that you'd like to add, Seaton? Yes, as a matter of fact, this one's here from Paul. More our most awkward situation. I've got four options here, but these are up for review. The Raiders and Max Crosby, awkward Cardinals and KYLER Murray, awkward. Tua and the dolphins. And the other option here is J.J. mcCarthy and your Minnesota Vikings. Those are all tricky situations right there. The awkward part, I think the Vikings trying to figure out, you bring somebody in and have some competition, which I think they need to do for J.J. mcCarthy. Do the dolphins just hold on to Tua because he's so expensive? And maybe this is just a gap year where you go, all right, Kyler. They got to get their story straight of, did Kyler talk to the GM or not to, you know, or vice versa, because Kyler said he didn't talk to Monty Ocean for it. Here's the Cardinals GM on his quarterbacking situation. You know, here's what I would say. As I. I've said before, I'd say all options are on the table for us, okay? We got Kyler, Jacoby, Keaton all under contract. As it pertains to that position, as it pertains to every position on our team, we're going to look at every avenue to improve, and we're going to continue and go through our process with that. Okay, that sounds like a mess. It sounds like you don't have a quarterback because you would like for your GM to say, oh, we have our franchise quarterback and Kyler Murray, but you don't. I don't think he plays with Arizona. And I think it feels like the Cardinals are trying to create some kind of market where, man, you better. You better come in and give us a great offer for Kyler Murray. You got three quarterbacks. You don't have one quarterback. Yes, Todd. It's also a lot of words of saying nothing, and I, for one, can appreciate saying a lot of words and nothing really of substance, but this is what your goal is if you're a gm. All right, We. We have to speak to the media. It's the combine and you're going to get the questions. You know what the questions are. It's like, you know, the Raiders GM is John Spytak. He knows he's going to be asked about Max Crosby and Fernando Mendoza. Max is an elite player and I've been very upfront from the, from the start when I got here that, you know, we're in the business of having really good players on the team and we need, we need a lot more of them. And, you know, it's hard to build a great team without elite players. First pick in the draft, teams are bound to come calling the folks. Do you guys feel like the need to answer those calls and listen to offers right now? I learned a long time ago, always listen. I'm always listening. Okay. Yeah, you listen and you love Max Crosby and every team wants to have a player like that. Why was Max Crosby held out of the last two games of the regular season? That's what I want to know. He didn't want to be held out. So to me, the Raiders were ensuring they were going to get the number one pick in the draft. They tanked right in front of everybody. Yes, Todd, I think that decision was done with love. You know, they were. They're playing terribly. Why have him out there for meaningless games? Yeah, but he wanted to be out there. And that's part of the reason there's, you know, discourse here or disconnect because that's when he said, I, I played my last game here and if I'm the Raiders, I trade him. I mean, let's build around your quarterback. I don't care if you have a great edge rusher. If you don't have an offensive line, you're going to do damage to that quarterback. And Max Crosby is great. He's one of my favorite players. He plays hard all the time and he's 28 years of age and he's under contract making over $30 million the next two years. I would trade him because you're not ready to have Max Crosby help you win games. Until that quarterback is ready with that offensive line, you're doing a disservice to your team because it won't matter. But if I could get, you know, another first round pick, a second round pick for Max Crosby, I would do that. It's like the Bengals with Trey Hendrickson. I would have traded him. Now they probably thought we're a playoff team. They did have injuries, but, you know, he's 30 years of age. Max Crosby is 28. He's going to Want another contract here, and I would definitely trade him. As much as I would miss him, you're not doing anything for the next two years. Then you have the Dolphins situation. John. Eric Sullivan is the new Dolphins general manager and talked about the possibility of trading Tua. We've had conversations with Tua and his representation. Everything's on the table, including the potential of a trade. We don't know which way that's going to go. There's a lot of different factors. Play. A lot of conversations being had evaluating the roster. You know, Quinn did a nice job towards the end of the year, excited about what's ahead for him. You know, Tua, I thought even though things didn't go well at the end of the year, did. Did some good things along the way. And it's my job to infuse competition into that room along with every other room as we go down the road. Okay, that's a word salad. Yeah. Satan. That reminds me of hearing that clip. Different sport, but in the NBA. Gosh. Who is it? Who's the GM of the Charlotte Hornets? God, I'm blanking on the name. What is it, Dan? You know, not Mitch Cupcheck. Dan, I was closer to you. I'd hit you in the nuts right now, but I can't. A cup check. Yeah, sorry. Yeah. Long wait for that joke, but I felt like it was worth it. All right, get a nut joke in there. Thank you. Todd, who is that? The GM of the Charlotte Hornets. Oh, Mitch Kopchek. It's still one of the more incredible moments, I can't say, of my career, but it's one of the most incredible stories of my life. We're at the super bowl in New Orleans, and I'm with Sean Salisbury. And he would always say, oh, who is the Laker gm? And then you go, well, Mitch Kupch. Then he would hit you right in the nuts. He'd hit you right in the balls. Yes. So he would always be saying. And he would walk up to somebody unassuming. It worked at espn, and go, who was the. The. The Laker gm? And they'd go, oh, Mitch, cup check. Boom. And he'd hit him right. Right in the nuts. So we're at the super bowl in New Orleans, I think it was. The Patriots were playing in the super bowl. And lo and behold, Mitch Kupchak walks into this bar. It was Pat o' Brien's bar. So we're outside, and I go, sean, guess who just walked in? Mitch Kupchak. Now, he thought I was going to Hit him below the belt. And I was being honest. I said, mitch Kupchak just walked through the door. And I said, you have to walk up to him and say, who is the Laker gm? And then you have to. Mitch Kupchak. Mitch Cupcheck. And to Sean's credit, he walked up to Mitch Kubchak and asking, he was like, who. Who is the Laker gm? This is snapping fingers that, you know, you're in trouble. And then all of a sudden, you know, he goes, mitch Kupchak. Boom. And I go, oh, my God, he just hit him in the nuts. Ballsy move, Mitch Kupch. Sorry to derail a segment there, but I just, I just could have. I was been waiting for like 11 minutes. So, like, I got a. The best joke right now. Laker gm Mitch. Mitch. And then you would have those knuckles right to that tap. Yeah. And you would have these, you know, PAs. You know, these guys would be like, Mitch cup check. Like they wanted to impress. I know the answer. Mitch Cupcheck. Yeah. Mitch Cupcheck, of course. And then Sean with his big paws would, you know, smack him. And they go, wait, what just happened here? HR would like to talk to you, Sean. Love that so much. Mitch, Mitch, Mitch. Cop Jack. Boom. We were easily entertained back then. Back to the combine here. Omar Khan is the Steeler gm and he was asked about Aaron Rodgers. The doors open to have Aaron back. You know, we've, I've had conversations with him. I spoke to him last week. You know, Mike McCarthy has spoke to him and you know, he knows how we feel about him. And you know, right now we're proceeding, you know, he's, he's a free agent and he's not on the roster, so. But he knows how we feel about him. Okay. It feels like they're taking Ty Simpson. I think most people think that the Steelers will, I'm not going to say reach, but. Well, they're going to go get a quarterback here in the first round. Now they might bring back Aaron Rodgers and of course we're going to have to let this play out all summer long. Is he coming back? Not coming back. Coming back, not coming back. The quarterback I'd like to be is Malik Willis, because I think Willis is going to get a, one of those three year, hundred million dollar deals and maybe gets the chance to start right away. Maybe gets to go to Miami and start. Maybe Pittsburgh brings him in and he's obviously a more proven commodity than Ty Simpson. And he's 26 years of age now. He got kicked to the curb early by Tennessee because then they went in and drafted the kid out of Kentucky, Will Levis. Yeah, that didn't go well. We'll leave us. Yeah, we'll leave us soon. Yes. Well, he did look like a quarterback. He was like, man, now that's, that's how a quarterback looks. Like a cw. Quarterback. Yes. He just didn't play like a quarterback. Should he look like one? Yeah. Paul, in two years with Green Bay, Malik Willis has three starts, six touchdowns, no picks, and he ran very well. Yeah. You know, I don't know if this is a Jimmy Garoppolo when, you know, Brady was out and he stepped in, played three games, and all of a sudden everybody wanted Jimmy Garoppolo. But I like Malik Willis. I think he's, I think he's the starter in the league. Kyler Murray, you know, you're gonna, I, I don't want Kyler Murray, but if, if anybody's going to take him, I want KYLER MURRAY On AstroTurf, you know, I want him playing indoors. And maybe, maybe you could get to him. But, you know, he's made money. He made his money. And you wonder what is his motivation? With certain players, football comes easy or easier. And now the hard part, when you're not the best player on the field, you're not the best quarterback on the field. And now you got to put in the work. And I don't know if he's willing to put in the work and you're expensive. Because if he was all of these things, then Arizona would keep him. Everybody's looking for their franchise quarterback, and if you feel like he is your franchise quarterback, then you don't let him go. But they know he's not their future. Yes, Marvin, what about Malik Willis to the Vikings? Can you see that or are they still holding out hope on JJ McCarthy? I would not be holding out hope on JJ McCarthy because now you find out that they took away the middle of the field throws for him. I mean, come on, you got a great arm. I'm going to take away the middle of the field. They had to probably reduce the playbook a little bit here. He was throwing out to the numbers. That's not a good sign. Why don't you throw it a little less? Yes. No, we believe in you. We believe in you. Just, just don't throw it over the middle here. You're not in this general area, so that would be of big concern. I got a quarterback and he wasn't ready to play. And look, okay, everybody can revision his history and say, boy, they're stupid to move on from Sam Darnold or Danny Dimes. Seattle didn't want Sam Darnold. They were like, why do, why are we bringing in Sam Darnold? We got Geno Smith, you know, and then you bring him in, he wins the Super Bowl. Now the play the Sam Darnold game of who's the Sam Darnold for this year coming up. But at the time we were like, yeah, big games and he played horribly and they decided to move on. Danny Dimes, same thing. When he played well with the Colts, they're like, man, they let him go. They let Sam Darnold go. JJ McCarthy just never felt like he was ready and it couldn't stay healthy. You bring in Kirk Cousins. Kirk Cousins is better than Michael Penix Jr III. Look at his numbers. The last four games he had a couple of big wins, didn't he? Beat Seattle and beat Tampa. And he's healthier than Michael Penix. Now, granted, he's 34, but you spent a hundred million dollars on him and now you're going to kick him to the curb. All right, let me take a break. Talk a little bit more about this and more of your phone calls as well. Back after this in the Dan Patrick Show. We're here in New York City with T Mobile for Business, recording another episode of Revisionist history about how 5G network slicing strengthens trust and connections across worldwide industries. Slicing can be used for so many different things. We're here with our friends from cnn from Siemens Energy. The ways that it can be used, frankly, are limitless and are really, really built to think through. How can T Mobile understand the pain points that our customers have? Smash those pain points and help you deliver very specific outcomes. The Cowboys and their kicker Brandon Aubrey are agreeing on one thing. If you can change games, then you should be able to change the pay scale for kickers. Right now the market sits at just under six and a half million dollars per year. That's the top of the market. But that number is probably not going to survive. Brandon Aubrey is up for a new contract and it's sort of like with Steph Curry. When he gets over half court, he's in scoring range. When Brandon Aubrey gets to the 50 yard line, he's in scoring range, if not further back. And this alters play calling. It changes strategy, forces, you know, defenses to defend differently. And three points are no longer hopeful. They're expected with some of these place kickers. So Brandon Aubrey is going to get paid. He's a weapon and not just a luxury. He truly is a weapon. But we're going to find out how much that luxury is going to cost the Dallas Cowboys and of course they're going to drag this out. It'll be you know, because Dallas does this. This is what Jerry does. He doesn't make a decision. It's never a decision where you go, oh, I'm going to make up my mind right now. And, you know, I started to hear a little bit more about the Cowboys with Micah Parsons, that whole situation and how it kind of went off the rails. And you start to hear some of the inside information from a source that I trust. And he was. Micah Parsons wasn't necessarily well liked. In fact, you know, there was kind of a prevalent feeling of he wants to be a star. He wants to be bigger than just being a football player. Had the podcast, like certain things where you go, let's focus on just being great as a football player. And there felt like there was a real falling out with the locker room with Micah Parsons. And, you know, there were a couple of teams. What I found out, there were teams that didn't know that the Cowboys were being truthful about wanting to trade him. And then they realized, oh, they're really going to trade him. And that's when you started. You know, I think people were like, oh, we'll give you. And then all of a sudden, it was almost like the market was set. Two first round picks and, you know, one of your star defensive linemen and the packers came up with that. But I don't, I don't think that there's any, oh, my gosh, we don't have Micah Parsons. I don't, I don't get that feeling certainly from the source that I have, that there's any, you know, buyer's remorse or traders remorse. With Micah Parsons, it's like, okay, he's in Green Bay. They overspent for him. We'll be a better team, you know? Cause they got Quinn and Williams was a really, really good pickup. Now, do they need an edge rusher? Yes, they do. But Quinn and Williams was a great pickup there. Yes. Marv, do you think maybe this might be a thing for all pro sports guys, building their brand before they win championships and become all pros and all timers? Yes. Okay. Yes. And. And Micah Parsons was off to a Hall of Fame start. It's just, I don't know if that's one of those. We can't afford to lose him. The sense I got once again was the Cowboys were fine with moving on. Better than fine with moving on. Yes. We lost him. We got two draft picks, Kenny Clark, Quinn, and Williams is, you know, now. Now we might be a better team and spend that money now. You got George Pickens. Do you think George Pickens, how's he going to feel? He had one of those, he proved it years. He had 1400 yards. He proved it after coming in from Pittsburgh. And we all said, man, I don't know if I would take a chance on him. Well, he came in and played great. Now they're going to franchise him. How do you think that's going to go over? He's going to play on the franchise tag. Now I got to prove myself again. Yes, Marvin. They should talk to CD Lamb. Cause he was on the show. I know he said he would, he would, he would give up some money in his contract. Also I mentioned the win totals, the over under, I don't remember a season. And we tried to do some research with the 17 game schedule. 10 teams over under 10 and a half. Now it feels like in previous years you might have somebody at 11 and a half, but 10 teams at 10 and a half wins over, under. And I mean I can look at the Niners and I mean what they did this year with Kyle Shanahan, I mean that's coach of the year stuff. The Seahawks, after the Super bowl hangover, 10 and a half wins. The Chiefs, when they have six wins last year, 10 and a half wins. Chargers 10 and a half. Rams 10 and a half. Eagles 10 and a half. Ravens 10 and a half. Bills 10 and a half. Lions 10 and a half. Packers 10 and a half. They love parody, but this seems to be a penthouse version of parody. Like you have everybody who's kind of, you know, on floor four, five and six or maybe it's seven, eight and nine. And then you get these other teams with ten and a half wins. And maybe it's a almost a three tiered parody. You got five teams that are bad. You got a lot of teams that are really good, are good. And then you have 10 that have the potential to be really good. But 10 teams at 10 and a half wins over, under. Yes, Paul, I went back to last August and found the over unders right before the season started. The Chiefs, the Ravens and the Eagles were at 11 and a half wins for the over unders and the bills were at 12 and a half wins. Yeah, yeah, we didn't have any of that with 11 or 12. But you got a lot of teams who are. But what happens every year? There's going to be four teams that come in and four teams that drop out. Nobody had the Lions not making the playoffs last year. Nobody had the Chiefs not. Well, Seaton had the Chiefs not making the playoffs last year. That's not a bad call. That was. That was not bad. That was a hot take draft and that one stood out. Yeah, but yeah, you start to look at the season and you know, you got to look at the schedules as well. Now that's factored in to all of this. Somebody's going to have an easier schedule. A couple of teams are. The other thing I'm curious about is DeSean Watson, and that is the football player. And I've tried to focus on just DeSean Watson the football player. The other stuff. He should have been put in prison, but all right, bought his way out of it. He's still on the team, he's still under contract, but it's been six years since he was good. If you go back, I think it was 20, 20, maybe the last time he was good. But he's better than the quarterbacks they have there. He should be better than the quarterbacks they have there. So your dilemma is, do you play him? You're going to try to develop Shador Sanders. Okay. Dylan Gabriel, okay. But DeSean Watson can give you at least a quarterback defenses are going to respect and, and the fact that he's been great, but I'm paying him $45 million. You've already gotten past the why did you bring that guy in? So put him out there and let him play. Because Shador is not ready to play and Dylan Gabriel not ready to play. It doesn't mean they can't play. It's just everybody gets caught up on Deion Sanders and his son and it's not going to be fair to Shador because he's not going to be able to live up to what people expect. I think he was a really good college quarterback and he's got to learn how to be an NFL quarterback and Dylan Gabriel, and maybe this is as good as they're going to be. But I've seen Deshaun Watson play at a high level and if I'm the Browns, I open the door and say, come on in. Come on in and play. Let me see what you got. And then if you want to get rid of him after that, get rid of him. But you've kept him on the roster and he's making all that money. I would definitely give him a shot. Yeah, Paulie, the GM was asked about it. He was very non committal. We said, we want to compete at the quarterback position with everybody, one of those things. But if he's cleared to practice and he suits up on a game day and the other quarterbacks are Playing poorly, and he's standing on the sidelines making 45 million. That's an awkward visual. And they lead the league in awkward visuals. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean, he went all in on this guy. He settled all of his lawsuits. I would. I would say, you want to come out and you want to win this job. Now, he might not want to play. I don't know. Maybe he's like, hey, I'm okay. My money's guaranteed. But, like, if you want to start to turn it around a little bit, public perception now, I don't know if he can, but, you know, at least the football portion of this, you got your opportunity. I think he was a healthy scratch back in December, Paulie, wasn't he? Well, they said he was cleared for, like, football activities. Okay. To Sean Watson. And there's mixed reports on how much he practiced. Yeah, I don't know if he wants to play, but I mean, that. That's certainly the pressing question. You gotta. You gotta get your quarterback. Now. If they turn it over to Shador Sanders, okay, You know, you gotta have confidence in him. Put him out there, let him go from day one to your team, go. Not one of those, oh, we're going to, you know, put in Dylan Gabriel. We're going to, you know, put him in, let him go sink or swim, go. Instead of this, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start. Because that doesn't work. It's like, J.J. mcCarthy. I. I would never have put him in this position. I didn't think he's ready. And I go back to Michigan and I even said it, you know, they won the national title due to defense and running the football and a great head coach and maybe a spy on the sidelines. But it wasn't because of JJ McCarthy. But that didn't mean, okay, we're not going to rely on our quarterback to win a national title. Maybe they didn't need to. But, you know, all of a sudden you're, like, playing in a big game, big completions, and then all of a sudden, you're, you know, top 10 pick. Then you get rid of quarterbacks, and now you're saying, all right, go get them. And then he couldn't stay healthy. But even watching, and then, you know, what was told to me is if you take away throws in the middle of the field, it says you're not ready yet. And it doesn't mean that he won't. But then I wonder, he gets one more year, right? And then Vikings move on. That's how it works. Give you three years Then we move on. Because you don't want to give him a big contract, but maybe he gets that opportunity and, and look, Kevin's a great coach and an offensive minded coach. Quarterback coach. All right, you got your work cut out for you. Now let me see what you can do because it feels like that team does have weapons. They have a pretty good defense. You're in a really competitive division here. Yes, Marvin. Yeah, the pressure was on already and then Sam Darnold leaves and then wins the super bowl the next year. Yeah. So the pressure is even more so on you now than it was before Chris in Syracuse. Hi, Chris. What's on your mind today? Thanks, Dan. Thanks for getting me in. Hey, I want comment on Pat Riley and you guys were talking about Daniel Jones and the Vikings. I remember when Ross Tucker, he was on the Dan Patrick show and he's the only one I ever heard say this and I'm assuming it's true. He said that the Vikings outbid the Colts for Daniel Jones. He didn't want to stay. That was just great. But I think he knew that he might not start and he knew he had a chance to beat out Anthony Richardson with the Colts and the Vikings were going to try to force feed JJ McCarthy for sure. Yeah, you're right. And like Pat Riley, I'm sure down the road Phil Jackson will also get a statue from the Lakers. Now Pat Riley had Cream and Magic Dillard, Shaq and Colby both had strong connections with other organizations. He. Now Riley did win a title with the Lakers as a player in 72. And Phil won a title by beating the Lakers in 73. But as a coach for the Lakers, Phil won five championships, edging out Riley by one. And maybe it's just as simple that Pat Riley coached before Phil Jackson, but I just wonder what criteria the Lakers used to make Pat Riley the first coach in Lakers history to have a statue. Well, because he did it before Phil did and it, you know, he was a Laker broadcaster. He was a Laker player and, and you felt like it was more deep rooted in him as one of us where Phil came in after being with Mike, but trust me, I don't know if Phil Jackson is going to go, where's my statue? I, I don't, I don't know if that's high on his priority list. Did the Bulls give Phil a statue? No. They should give him a statue. I'm not big on statues. I'm not. But you know the Jordan one outside Chicago Stadium, you know, it's great. It is. But you know, these statues where. All right, you want to have one with Riles there and. Yeah, okay. I mean, we're kind of turning into Italy, where. You know, when you're in Italy, there's all kinds of statues around you, you know, you know, centuries ago. Like, maybe that's what we're gonna one day turn into. Like, there's gonna be that statue and that statue and that statue and. Hey, there's the David. Yes, Todd. That athlete statues are more fun than gladiators or emperor statues, at least to me. I don't mind a guy holding a baseball bat or, you know, throwing a touchdown pass kind of shot. I like the gladiator on a horse. These guys were really warriors. They were really in battle. It was life or death. We use all those terms with our athletes. Yes. Seaton. Did I mishear that? Or. Michael Jordan doesn't have a statue. No. Phil Jackson. Oh, Phil Jack. Yeah. Mike's got two, I think. Yeah, yeah, they got. They got one for the first three titles, and then he got another statue. Tear down the whole city block and remake the stadium into his image. There's a fourth statue. He's at a craps table. What the hell? I'm just saying, they got a statue of him playing baseball, too. What? Yeah, I think at Comiskey park or US Cellular, whatever the name of it is. Yes. Pauline, the most unexpected sports statue of all time has to be Nick Foles. Doug Peterson, if you would have said, hey, there's going to be a statue. The Philadelphia Eagles, long time team. And it's a great play and a great moment, but two guys discussing a play call, that one's tough, but it's a. It is the moment, and it did. It was awesome. We don't need a statue. It's two guys talking. We don't. We don't need a statue. The headset. Yes. Like, did Bill Walsh and Joe Montana before Joe went out there and, you know, threw a touchdown pass. Yes. I'm a. I'm not a statue guy either. Either. And mostly because putting the statue up and how good that feels pales in comparison to how awful it is when you have to take it down for some reason. That is just not the way to do it. I mean, look, not Penn State put up the. Joe Paul and everybody, you know, of course you're thinking Joe Paterno. I just. I'm not big on a statue. Not big on the statue. So if you guys are thinking of doing that for me, I would tell you, don't. So cancel it. Yeah. We can get our deposit back. Yes. Right on the Milford Green. You kidding me? No. It'd be right outside here. Right outside. Right out there. And I would prefer to be draped in a towel and only that. That's hot. Yes. I was wondering what that pose would be. How would you envision your statue to look? It's been a minute since back in the attic days. We used to see in a towel a little bit here and there. You used to come scurrying out of that bathroom like, whoa. Yeah. DP's putting on a show right now. You know, just trying to keep morale high. Let's bring it back. How about we take a break? Last call for phone calls. What we learned Rock and Roll hall of Fame Nomin will play the game. They just came out with the list. We'll have that for you when we come back. We're here in New York City with T Mobile for business recording another episode of revisionist history about how 5G network slicing strengthens trust and connections across worldwide industries. Slicing can be used for so many different things. We're here with our friends from CNN from Siemens Energy. The way ways that can be used, frankly, are limitless and are really, really built to think through. How can T Mobile understand the pain points that our customers have? Smash those pain points and help you deliver very specific outcomes. We play the Rock and Roll hall of Fame game. The nominees for 2026, they just came out. All right, what do you have here, Paul, Dan. We do this every year. I'll quickly go through the list and if you had one vote, who or whom are you picking? Ready one? One vote. Black Crows. Jeff Buckley. Mariah Carey. Phil Collins. Melissa Etheridge. Lauryn Hill. Billy Idol. In Excess. Iron Maiden. New Order Slash. Joy Division. Their original band. New Edition. Oasis. Pink. Sade. Sade. Right, Sade. Shakira. Luther Vandross. Wu Tang Clan. You get one vote. All right, Todd. I am definitely going with Phil Collins. Okay. Satan. Good grief. I'm gonna say Mariah Carey. Okay. Marvin, Say New Edition. Paul. Believe it or not, I'm gonna go Billy Idol. Older. Had a lot of hits and was very popular. White Wedding. More for his age. See, it's tricky when you talk about the Rock and Roll hall of Fame, and there's nothing rock and roll about Mariah Carey. She's like arguably the greatest female artist of all time. Yeah, but it's, you know, this is just the Music hall of Fame. I mean, that's really what they need to call it, the Music hall of Fame. It's the Rock and Roll hall of Fame. I'm going Iron Maiden all day. Yeah. I mean, if you're going true rock and Roll. Then it's different. But I. I would say Mariah Carey. I mean, the most decorated female singer, one of the most decorated musicians of all time. Maybe the best voice of all time. She got five octaves. Yeah. Yeah. Can you hit A, E high over triple C or whatever the hell it is? You're like, what, Phil Collins not in good shape? Got health issues. I don't know if that factors in with the voting on this. Black Rose are pretty impressive. Shakira. Shakira, Sade, Pink. Oasis might be Oasis year with the big comeback here. Wu Tang Clan, a lot of influence there. Lauryn Hill could have been like. She could have been. She's. She's one of those that had a great rookie year. She's Derek Rose. Yes. And then, you know, broke her ankle. But, yeah, I mean, they're. They're all worthy. It's just when you hear Rock and Roll hall of Fame, I did see the Jeff Buckley documentary, if you get a chance to see that. Really well done. Yeah. Seaton. Did you see the Hugh Jackman movie about. It's not a Neil diamond movie, but it's. He plays that Neil diamond character. Yeah. You might have actually mentioned it before. That was really good. I thought that was fun. Yeah. And. And when I'm watching, I said to my wife, Kate Hudson's gonna get nominated for this. I thought she did a really good job. She was great. Yeah. That was a fun movie, though. I really enjoyed it a lot. Yeah. And I just watched that. The Bruce Springsteen movie, the. With the Jeremy Allen White Deliver Me from Nowhere or something. Yeah. I just. I've actually seen that twice now. It's really good. I actually like it. I. I watched 10 minutes, couldn't do it. It might be the Jersey part of me where I'm like, stone pony and like, everything is so cold. Neck. Yes, I'm. Yeah, whatever. All that stuff. A little nostalgic, maybe, for me. Yeah, I tried that. You know, my attention span very limited. And even with Springsteen. And I was like, you're losing me here. Yes, Todd, I think you said, all right, that's enough. And then you shut the TV at that point. Yes, Paul. Phil Collins is already in for his original band, Genesis, but he can get the double. The double double or whatever, because he had enough hits as a solo artist easily. Incredible. He's better on his own than Genesis. Whoa, whoa, whoa. You're gonna get some lane staying, by the way. The Shakespeare crowd is good. We're getting a lot. A heavy dose of Stay in your lane from this Shakespeare Contingent. Wow. Huge. Holy smokes. Brutal. But imagine you have Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins together in a band, right? Genesis. Like Kobe and Shaq and then the other guys. Yeah, Whoever that other guy was. Yeah, his name's Mike something, I think. Those two guys. Yeah. Shannon Brown, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins and the other guys. Those other guys are. Well, they have three. Three sides live, I think was an album trick of the tail. Was Mike Rutherford in there? Yeah, that's right. Yeah. Yeah. Genesis. Yeah. Paulie, Would the Eagles have more solo success than any band after they broke up? Their solo artists? After they left, the Eagles, Henley, Walsh, they all had big solo careers. Glenn Fry didn't. Well, he had a pretty good one. It was Timothy B. Schmidt didn't do much. Whoa. No. Timmy B. Timothy B. Is that right? Is that. Yeah, it's Timothy B. Schmidt. He played bass. I want to say long hair still. Yeah, Great. Great voice. Gorgeous hair. Yeah. High. High octave there. Yeah. All right, I think we pretty much settled everything. And now I'll wait for the fallout of stay in your lane. Anybody on that list? You're absolutely not. No. Let's go, let's go. Negative. I'm absolutely not putting this person.
