You are listening to the Dan Patrick show on Fox Sports Radio. Final hour in this Tuesday. Reggie Miller will stop by in about 20 minutes from now. More of your phone calls, very little super bowl fallout. Normally Tuesday, we use Tuesday to go over the things that we didn't get to talk about on Monday or if there's controversy from the super bowl from Monday it spills over to Tuesday. That's not the case. You'll have a victory parade in Seattle on Wednesday where they're expecting upwards of 800,000 people that will show up. And for Sam Darnold going forward, if you start to look at where quarterbacks peak or the career arc where he started to where he is now is kind of like Joe Flacco. Joe Flacco won a Super bowl at 27. Sam is 28. And if he would have a similar career to Joe Flacco, I would consider that to be a successful career because Joe Flacco was great postseason quarterback and still playing at 41 and was the best quarterback the Browns had this past year. By the way, I'm wondering about desean Watson. Is he just going to be a healthy scratch because and. And not to go down this road? While going down this road, Deshaun Watson just settled his last two lawsuits. I think he had 27 of them. Now, can you bring him back if he's healthy because he's a better quarterback than the two quarterbacks you have, and he's under contract for this next year, do you bring him back? Do you let him compete? If you're the Browns, do you go out and get another young quarterback in the draft? They might just turn this over to Shador Sanders and Todd Monken coming in from Baltimore. He said that he wanted to draft Shador Sanders. Shador didn't want to go to the Ravens because he didn't want to be a backup to Lamar Jackson, or at least that was the report. But maybe they stay with Shador Sanders. Can you have desean Watson? It's probably been seven years, maybe six years since he had a great season. I think they only won four games in Houston, but he threw for like 4,800 yards. He was great. And then all of a sudden, everything came crashing down. But if he's a healthy scratch, are they just going to have him show up at the building but not be in uniform, not be part of the team while you pay him whatever, $50 million? I would at least explore that if. If I'm a Browns fan. Yari got past the all right, we brought this creep in. Now do we want him to represent us? Can he win games for us? Philadelphia got by, you know, past that with Michael Vick. I mean, there's certain teams that have to swallow, you know what. But if that guy's going to help your team, you're paying him, then maybe desean Watson gets a chance to actually play his way out of this, of sorts. But back to Sam Darnold. He's at a really good price point, and that's the key, because if he's making $55 million, like Kirk Cousins, you know, making a lot of money, they're going to let him go, probably go back to Minnesota now. I don't know what he's going to ask for in Minnesota, but getting that sweet spot is really important for Sam Darnold. He's a B level quarterback and on a A minus team. I mean, it's not an insult. He's a B level quarterback. He's not great, but he, he can be great. He has shown glimpses of that. But he's a B level quarterback and you can win. Seattle proves that you can win with that. Not everybody is, you know, top end. Not everybody is Mahomes or Brady. You know, you have to have quarterbacks that you can just trust. And that's what Sam Darnold will probably be the rest of his career. And I don't think Seattle's his last stop. He might play for 10 more years. This is his eighth year, but he might be playing, you know, for quite some time. And maybe he's a bridge quarterback, maybe he's a backup quarterback again, but having that super bowl now, it kind of. And maybe it frees him up where he's not thinking about that all the time. Can you win the big game? Everybody said the same thing. They don't. They won't be saying that again. Now you might get people say, well, see, it was a fluke or he can't win the big game. Yeah, he won that one. But, you know, the defense carried him well. However he parses this out, he's still got a Super bowl and he should take great pride in that. And, you know, as long as he doesn't price himself out. You play with a really good team, a young team. I don't know if you bring back Kenneth Walker Jr. III, but you got a chance to go back, a really good chance to go back. And then you throw. You know, the fallout with Drake May, that's what I'm really curious about because psychologically, when you get humbled, humiliated, and how do you recover from that? And now you got a tougher schedule and now you got a stockpile. Now you got to get some weapons for him and figure out that offensive line. And I think that that'll be challenging because you got some road games like now you're playing. Nobody going to say that the schedule was easy this time around. But when you see quarterbacks and it's the, it's the most talked about position, the most important position in sports. But trying to handicap any of this, like C.J. stroud right now, I can't give him an extension. But two years ago, I'M like, oh, my God, sign him up. He's going to be $50 million now. No, maybe two years for 50 million, but I'd be really nervous about that. George Pickens, I don't know how good he is. I mean, I've seen him be good, but this is a guy that Pittsburgh who needed receivers let go. Is he reliable? Are you going to franchise him? Are you going to trade him? Talking to CD Lamb at the super bowl and he said, look, I'll take less money if it means we can keep him. But you start to look at some of these decisions in the off season with some of these teams, like, what are you going to do? What are the Bengals doing with Trey Hendrickson? They're talking about franchising him. Max Crosby says he's played his last game with the Raiders. That's pretty interesting. Where would he end up? The Dolphins in their quarterbacking situation? Quinn Ewer is going to be their starting quarterback. Where's Tua go? Is Tua a backup now? It's just, it's, it's, it's so fluid and it, and it happens so quickly. Where you go all that like Detroit. Where is Detroit? If I look at power rankings top 10, they seem to be regressing. The Niners reload, but I add another year to Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle, Fred Warner, Bosa come back. Brock Purdy still don't have whiteouts. You got a great coach, but you're in a tough division. Rams in Seattle. So that's the fascinating part of the offset. Is Jaden Daniels going to be first year? Jaden Daniels second year, Is he going to be injury prone? The Steelers, who's your quarterback? And if it's Aaron Rodgers, what is the bigger picture for this? And Mike McCarthy taking over there. What kind of team are you going to be? So you know, the Bengals with their offense, but then the Bengals without their defense here it just feels like you could have questions. Is Carolina for real? Is Jacksonville going to build on what they did this past season? And I think having sort of the highs and lows, the question marks fluctuation. Is Buffalo going to get a defense? If Buffalo had a defense, they would have played in the super bowl this year. I mean, Bo Nicks get healthy, be able to replicate what they did, which seems likely, but you're in a tough division. How about the Chiefs? Mahomes coming back? Is Kelsey coming back? I mean, that window of opportunity is really starting to close because we were thinking, man, Mahomes, he'd get a Couple more Super Bowls. He's right there on Tom. Tom Brady's doorstep. But it closes so quickly. Are the Raiders going to get it right? But how long will it take to get it right? That's what's fascinating about this. And you have to factor in the schedule as well. And then you factor in the draft, you factor in free agency, and it won't be. It won't be long before we're starting the season again. I mean, this season flew by. The combine's in two weeks. The draft is coming up in April. It's happening. It is quick free agency. That's what makes it so fascinating. Storylines I saw where the commissioner didn't rule out expansion internationally. As far as, I guess, a franchise in another country now, I don't see that happening anytime soon. I was surprised that he said that they haven't taken it off the table, but that's. I, I see everybody playing an international game each year because that's part of. They've dominated. They. They've conquered the United States. Now it's the world. I mean, that's why they're doing flag football. They. You're not going to start football leagues elsewhere. You can start a flag football league anywhere. It doesn't take anything. And. And you can do that worldwide with the NFL logo attached to that. That's what they want to do. You want to go. Go global. We'll take our teams there while we're there. You know, we'll do seminars where we have flag football and some of our players would come out and help with that, be instructed. Whatever it is, the NFL is going to be knee deep on foreign soil. Yes.
Paulie
Paulie, I've got the NFL.com year schedule. And like you said, February 23rd starts the combine. March 3rd is the franchise tag day. That's always a big one. March 9 starts the early free agency period and basically lasts the entire month. Annual owners meetings the end of March. April has four or five different things leading up to the draft. There's no month they take off. Maybe a little of June. That's it.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. Well, they got to go on vacation at some point and they got to let you know some of the other sports have their moment there.
Paulie
Three weeks in June.
Dan Patrick
Very nice of them. All right. Now, if you're watching on Peacock or the NBC Sports Network, thank you. And we say good morning to our radio affiliates. Seaton, would you update the poll results from this festive morning?
Seaton
Sure would. We got three of them up there right now. What will you remember this Super Bowl For Sam Darnold, Kenneth Walker Jr. III, the Patriots offense are Bad bunny, bad bun. Still leading that one. Whose career would you want? This one's from Paul. Joe Flacco or Sam Donald? Right now, Joe Flacco leading that one with 60% of the vote. And should a team's history follow that franchise into a new city? Right now, 60% of the audience saying.
Dan Patrick
New should be more than that. Yes, Paul.
Paulie
Now, this poll is based on what Joe Flacco has done. You know, for his 20s and early 30s. He was a good NFL quarterback, won a lot of games, made some playoffs. He was never, ever considered a bust or any issues. Then he bounced around. Or you could have Sam Darnold, what he's done and what he will do. But you have to decide today. Like, Sam Darnold's future is included in this, not as of today.
Dan Patrick
I'll take Joe Flacco. That's why even when I said this and you know, the reality of. Of this thought hit people, they're like, what? Like I said, if Fernando Mendoza ends up as Joe Flacco, is it a successful career? And I said, yes. He was a Super Bowl MVP and he was good in the playoffs, and he played till he was 41. But people were like, no, he's going to be like Brady and Breeze. And I go, no, no. How. How about we just set. Set the bar a little lower for him? If you say you're going to get one super bowl, if I'm a Raider fan, I go, I'll sign up for that. Even if you don't win it, you'll take it. That's all you want. Yeah. Seaton.
Seaton
Yeah. That's why I like this year for the Patriots. This was one of the most fun I've ever had watching the Patriots play because there was very little expectation. The group of players was awesome. They were a ton of fun to root for, and they made it to the super bowl when nobody expected them to do that. This was one of the funnest years I've ever had watching football. So it's like the result of the game was like, dang, I wish that they had done better, but it's all good.
Dan Patrick
And we brought this up before. If I said at the beginning of the year, if you're a Patriot fan, you're coming off four wins, I said, hey, you're going to go to the super bowl, and it's not going to go well, you'd sign up for that in a second, no problem, right? We had four wins and four Wins.
Seaton
The year before that.
Dan Patrick
So you're like, yes, I'll take that. At least you got there. Yes. Marvin.
Todd Fuhrman
The only type of super bowl appearance that I wouldn't want is the Atlanta Falcons. If you're up by that much. Yes. That's going to kill you. But you know what? We didn't play very well. We got beat.
Dan Patrick
All right.
Todd Fuhrman
Great season.
Dan Patrick
Wait, If. If you knew that was going to happen at the beginning of the year, and you're a Falcon fan yet, you're going to have the worst collapse. No, you wouldn't sign it for that. No, I have to.
Todd Fuhrman
No, I was up 28. 3.
Dan Patrick
I know, I know, I know, I know. We were good enough to be up 28 to 3.
Todd Fuhrman
Oh, that. That made me feel better.
Paulie
People are getting tattoos at halftime.
Dan Patrick
Oh, I know. Yes, yes.
Seaton
Like, do you think Matt Ryan would sign up for that again? I don't know if he would.
Dan Patrick
He.
Seaton
I mean, he probably would because, like, ah, it's a Super Bowl. You got to get there.
Dan Patrick
But don't you think he's sick of.
Seaton
Talking about that game? Don't you think he hates that game more than anything else? Since getting to the super bowl, his life's work is finally accomplished, and it's the worst day of his life. I don't know. I don't know. If you sign up for that again.
Dan Patrick
And I. I would. I got there. Yeah.
Paulie
Pauling, based off that topic, would you rather be Matt Ryan or Phil Rivers and never get close.
Dan Patrick
I'd rather be Matt Ryan.
Paulie
Yeah.
Dan Patrick
I got to the Super Bowl. It's like dating a supermodel and it doesn't work out. Well, you still got to date the supermodel.
Paulie
Tell me about it.
Dan Patrick
Yeah.
Seaton
Yeah. But while you were dating, the reason you guys broke up is because you had, like, explosive diarrhea in the middle of Times Square right in front of her, and that's why you broke up. Okay, it's not like, yeah, we got to date, and it just didn't work out. Like, you had an unbelievably awful collapse.
Dan Patrick
No, what happened is I'm dating a supermodel, and Tom Brady came in and stole her from me.
Seaton
I don't know. I feel like you really crapped your pants in front of her, and then it's like, oh, I can't date you anymore.
Todd Fuhrman
Sorry.
Dan Patrick
I literally crap my. Yeah, speaking in which, Todd, not just.
Todd Fuhrman
In front of her, the world. It'll be like the world seeing you crap your pants. Because the Super Bowl, I believe, is seen by millions and Millions.
Seaton
That's why I said it's in Times Square. It's like the massive area of visibility.
Dan Patrick
Brought to you by dude wipes.
Todd Fuhrman
There you go.

On June 11, 1998, a deputy from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department went missing. It's an all out manhunt for John Ajay. Every search and rescue team in LA county has been called in to help. Within days, tips started flooding into the Sheriff's department.
Dan Patrick
The rumor around the drug scene was.
Martina Castro
That a deputy was taken care of. Is this the story of a man who just got lost in the desert? Or of a cover up in the Inside the nation's largest sheriff's department.

Dan Patrick
This is real. This guy's actually doing surgery and it's a miracle. I never believe that miracles were real until that point.
Martina Castro
But behind those adoring crowds was something much darker. One of the reasons why I never went to the police is because I saw at least five or six men with guns. Everywhere he went that was clear to me. Like, close your mouth, don't open your mouth, don't say anything. I'm your host Martina Castro and in the podcast Two Faced John of God, we'll look back on a man who claimed he could perform miracles and got people from all around the world to believe him from exactly right and adonde Media. The Volkswagen Beetle started out as Hitler's dream car. It wound up as a beloved hippie icon and the best selling car of all time. How did that happen? I'm Jacob Goldstein. And I'm Robert Smith. On business history we tell the surprising stories behind the inventions and entrepreneurs that shaped our economy. And the story of the Beetle is truly surprising. It has so it has Nazis, it has the German economic miracle. And it features one of the most famous ads of all time. An ad that really redefined what advertising was in the United States. The calculation was that there was some number of Americans who were ready for something different, who were ready for something that was counter to the culture, if you will. Perfect timing in this decade of the 1960s. Listen to Business History on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts and watch episodes on YouTub.

Experience, the world's biggest show, prime time. The Winter Olympics in Milan on NBC. And Peacock. And I'm watching the pregame festivities with the super bowl, seeing who's down there, hobnob in there. Good buddy Adam Sandler was there a lot of celebrities. And I look over and I go, there's a guy in San Francisco who looks just like Reggie Miller. What were you doing?
Todd Fuhrman
We were there on the request, which was very honored of the merger because we were promoting All Star Weekend on our legendary February that we are currently in with, as you just mentioned, the Olympics for two weeks, the super bowl and All Star game all on the Peacock and NBC. So we were there. Carmelo Anthony and Jamal Crawford and myself got a chance to do a pre game hit with Maria Taylor and Jason Garrett and the whole studio guys from the football side of things. And it was my first super bowl experience. I've never ever been to a Super bowl before. Didn't know what to expect. I have seen you many of times at the super bowl and working it. So I wanted to know what it was all about. And I was, I was a kid in a candy store. It was, it was a pretty awesome experience.
Dan Patrick
Did you walk up to anybody outside the basketball world?
Todd Fuhrman
We did. So we went on the field after our hit and had a chance to actually see the guys because our hit was at about 1150, 1155. So the buses had just gotten to Levi's Stadium and the players were just kind of coming out and where our green room was was in close proximity to the Seattle locker room. So Cooper cup came out and what's Jackson in Jigba came on out and took pictures with us and we watched them warm up. We didn't get a chance to see any of the Patriots because they were at the far into the other side. But again, just to see and see them without pads, like, you know, they weren't. They were just out there for their pre, pre, pre warm up. So no pads, just shorts and it was kind of cool.
Dan Patrick
All right, let me get to last night. This is how it sounded with the Pistons and the Hornets. JD on the dribble, hard back down on Diabate and a whistle. They're gone. Diabate is swinging. Boy D is. He's facing suspension here. There is no question about it. And now Bridges throws a punch. Now Stu just came.
Todd Fuhrman
Oh, man, it's a bounty Brook.
Dan Patrick
There they go.
Todd Fuhrman
After review, fighting fouls have been assessed to the following players, Diabate and Bridges from Charlotte, Endurin and Stewart from Detroit. Those four players have been ejected from the game.
Dan Patrick
Your thoughts? Seeing that regular, like, I'm not condoning.
Todd Fuhrman
Violence at all, but it's been a while since we've seen a good old.
Dan Patrick
No, we don't need to see that. We don't.
Todd Fuhrman
No, no, no, we don't need to see that. But it, it shows me that, you know, because everyone wants to talk about this generation and everyone's buddy, buddy, and can we all just get along? And there was a little animosity between a team that is arguably one of the hottest in the league right now in the Charlotte Hornets, right, winners of nine straight, I believe, and the number one team in the Eastern Conference in Detroit. And it's funny how something so little, I mean, because the foul really wasn't anything, in my opinion, which leads me to believe there was a lot of talk that was leading up to that. Or there were some elbows before something they don't show, but the foul was nothing. It's what happened afterwards. I expect multiple games from Stewart. Number one, he left the bench and he threw hands. I think if you leave the bench automatically, that's three games, two or three games, something like that. But on top of, you know, throwing your hands, I think he's going to get a couple more games. On top of that, Durham, you know, the mush to Diabate's face. Bridges threw some punches. I believe that connected as well. So we'll see multiple suspensions, high finds, and then we move on.
Dan Patrick
I just worry about not the guy in front of me. I worry about the guy to the side of me or behind me who's going to take a cheap shot.
Todd Fuhrman
And it happens, right? And that's why you got to have your head on a swivel, because when something like that breaks out. And I'll just go back to the Malice in the palace versus the Pistons. What made that a little bit more unique and different is because of the fan aspect of it. When the fans started to come onto the court when we entered the stands as well, because you didn't know where players, where fans were going to come from. And just having your head on a swivel because you never know where a punch is coming, if a chair is being thrown at you, if you're going to potentially be maced, which Ron and I were almost maced by one of the officers on the floor. You just never knew what was going to happen when you get into a situation like that.
Dan Patrick
But you had a suit on, didn't you? You weren't playing.
Todd Fuhrman
I had broken my finger in training camp and this was one of the early games in our season. So I was in a suit. And once everything happened between Ben Wallace and Ron, if you remember, Ron went over to the scorers table and was laying down and I'm kind of like, you know, talking to him, trying to calm him down. And I think you and I have discussed this before. Out of the corner of my eye, I see it. I see it traveling in 3D slow motion, the cup. And as soon as it hits Ron, he turned into the Incredible Hulk. And just that's when he went into the stands. And I, I had to go. I had to go after him because Lord knows I didn't know what he was going to do. And I went in there. Stephen Jackson went over there. I believe David Harrison on our team was over there in the stands. Rasheed Wallace for the Pistons were over. It was just like they say, malice in the palace. It definitely was a malice. And did you get fined, fine and suspended? Because I left the court of play and went into the stands. Even being a peacemaker, I believe I got two games that I, I think because I was out, that was part of, I like time served. But yeah, I was suspended because I left the. The court and went into the stands even as a peacemaker to get Ron back on the court. That was my main thing, was to get Ron out of the stands and back on the court. Lo and behold, did I know once we were back on the court things. Because the fans being on the court now, things got a little bit more escalating, especially with the police officer running up with about ready to mace us on the court. And then my main objective was to get him to the locker room.
Dan Patrick
But you know, when we look back on that, I don't think we look at what led up to that. Like, didn't Ben Wallace play a role in this? That we look at the. The crowd in Detroit versus the Pacers and really the role that the Pistons played in the malice at the palace.
Todd Fuhrman
And how things have changed in terms of fan safety and player safety as well. If you go to games now and you see when the players run out of tunnels now they're running out like shielded now because now they have covered because of what happened to us as we were leaving the court with all the beer, popcorn, everything being thrown at us. And look at the end of the day, we, we as a team probably should never should have went into the stands as the pedestrians or, you know, the people watching the game never should have came onto the court. It was just a mess all, all the way around. What I didn't like was them trying to frame it as we were a bunch of thugs. And I, I didn't appreciate that. That I don't, you know, that was coming from the league. Because if you listen to the game, and I believe Bill Walton was on that call, he was livid by the fan behavior. By the time we had left Detroit and landed back in Indiana, it was all about us. And I knew the guy coming down. It was all the players fault, the player's fault, the player's fault, as opposed to it really being 50 50. But I will say this. We. We should have known better. It cost us. I thought that was one of our best chances to win a championship because we had just signed Stephen Jackson. He was gone for like 25, 30 games. Jermaine was gone for 25, 30 games and Ron Artest was lost for the rest of the season. And remember, they were the defending champs. And what led up to that was the history in the playoffs the year before being that close to moving on to the finals. And remember they beat the Lakers. We felt that that could have been us. And then we smacked them in our first matchup. The defending champs versus us and that rivalry. And we were trying to send a message, Dan. And we all saw what happened after that.

And Peacock, the All Star game tips off Sunday, five Eastern on NBC. Peacock and Telemundo. What do you expect with this new format with the All Star Game.
Todd Fuhrman
Before the injuries to Giannis to SGA.
Dan Patrick
And.
Todd Fuhrman
To a certain degree, and this is not a, I'm sure not a popular. I think a lot of people were leaning towards the world winning this.
Dan Patrick
Yeah.
Todd Fuhrman
With. You know, I'll add Luca to that. Luca hasn't played the last few games for the Lakers with a, with a leg injury, so we don't know what his availability is. Stefan Curry, just recently, yesterday, is out of the All Star Game because of a knee injury. I like the format because I think we've been kind of trending this way. Just look at the last seven or eight MVPs. They all have been international players. The last American born MVP was James Harden, I believe in 2019. So I like the format. I'm still leaning towards team world with Wimby, Shane Goon, Jamal Murray, Jokic. If Jokic plays like Jokic in recent All Star Games, he really hasn't played hard. But if he plays hard, and I like the two teams, stars and stripes. We got a younger team of the Cade Cunninghams of the world, Tyrese Maxey, and we have an older team that was LeBron James. Kevin Durant would have been Stephen Curry, Donovan Mitchell and those players. So it'll be interesting. I like the format, but I also like Team World. I know that's not very popular, but we'll. We'll see. It'll all be settled on Sunday.
Dan Patrick
The off season here with LeBron. You know, there's. Where there's smoke, there's fire. And it just feels like this Cleveland reunion is not going away. Now, it might be because we're keeping it in the forefront here, but I'm just trying to add logic to this, and that is, if I'm LeBron and I'm looking at the Lakers, we're not winning anything. I would have a chance to at least get to the NBA Finals if I went to the Cavaliers. I'm not going anywhere with the Lakers. Right. If now does, how important is it for him to go out at home in Los Angeles or to go back to home home and wrap this up?
Todd Fuhrman
I think if he goes back back to Cleveland where he won that championship, is it going to be taking a hometown discount as well? Because now they just added James Harden and his salary. You got Donovan Mitchell on a max salary. Mobley is going to be up. Jared Allen, your best chance to win a championship, especially to go back home to Cleveland and be in the East. East is up for grabs. Out west, you've got four or five teams led by the champs in OKC that you know are going to be there. Right now, Detroit is leading the east up by five over New York and six, I believe, over the Boston Celtics. But the east will be getting some strength back with possibly Tatum coming back this year. But we know he'll be back next year for Boston. Halliburton, Indiana will be better now that they've gotten Zubotch in that big trade. So the Pacers will be better, but Cleveland, to me, I mean, they had the second best record in the league a year ago, and maybe they need that leadership. Maybe it is James Harden, Maybe it is LeBron, but the only way this is going to go away if LeBron James makes it go away. So I think it's staying out there because the hype machine of LeBron is keeping it out there. As well.
Dan Patrick
Oh, you think? You think?
Todd Fuhrman
I don't think. No, I don't think him personally, but his camps or, you know, maybe Rich Ball may. I mean, there's a lot that comes with being LeBron and maybe that is keeping this. Oh, he's going back. He possibly, possibly could be going back to Cleveland. That hype machine is keeping it out there. Not LeBron himself, but the hype machine behind LeBron could be keeping it out there.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, see, that's a tough one that you're the third option with Austin Reeves now in Luca, you know, what option.
Todd Fuhrman
Would you think he would be if he went back to Cleveland?
Dan Patrick
Well, that's. I was going to say it would.
Todd Fuhrman
Be the third option there too.
Dan Patrick
Would he be the third option behind.
Todd Fuhrman
Mitchell and Harden and behind James Harden? Yes, he would.
Dan Patrick
Will Harden.
Stugots
You know what?
Todd Fuhrman
He might. He might be the fourth behind Evan Mobley. He would be the fourth option if he went back to Cleveland. But to have that experience in the lineup, and the problem is if you do that, Jalen Tyson, an up and coming player who's in their starting lineup now, to me, it will probably stunt his growth because he'll move to the bench to make way for LeBron. But again, we're getting ahead of ourselves right now. He's on the Lakers. Let's focus on what he can do for the Lakers and what they can do to, you know, maybe upset some teams in the Western Conference. But we're getting ahead of ourselves here.
Dan Patrick
Theodore, NBA talking about expansion with Vegas is a foregone conclusion.
Todd Fuhrman
I think so.
Dan Patrick
Okay.
Todd Fuhrman
I think Seattle is a foregone conclusion.
Dan Patrick
Okay.
Todd Fuhrman
It would never should have left Seattle in the first place. It is a great fan base, as we just witnessed on Super Bowl Sunday. How they travel and how they've been for their football team, having a chance to play GP and those great Nate McMillan, Dale Ellis and some of those great Seattle teams. It was unbearable to come into that building and play against those guys. And that fan base is just absolutely. They would be on fire to be back in the league. So I think those two teams are. It's a foregone conclusion that the owners will vote on that and we'll have two new teams.
Dan Patrick
More dangerous city for NBA players. Vegas or Miami.
Todd Fuhrman
Depends on what you like. Because I think, oh, I mean, both have their sinful. Their sinful advantages.
Dan Patrick
Did you ever have the Miami flu?
Todd Fuhrman
I never had the Miami flu. Never, ever.
Dan Patrick
Okay.
Todd Fuhrman
But I came close to coffee.
Dan Patrick
You were lucky. You were in one of the least dangerous in Indianapolis.
Todd Fuhrman
Yes, that Helped. That help.
Dan Patrick
But Vegas, oh, my goodness.
Todd Fuhrman
Yeah. But you know what? There, there's been a body of work of other teams that have been there and that have been a successful. The Aces, not the Raiders, been successful, but teams that have been there, they've got.
Dan Patrick
Well, I'm talking about those who visit, not those who live there. It's like the people who live there don't live on the Strip.
Todd Fuhrman
So you're more worried about the visiting team than the home team?
Dan Patrick
Oh, yes, yes, the home team. They'll be out outside the city.
Todd Fuhrman
Look, I think so many people have gone to Las Vegas during the off season, during summer league. I think to me. So now I'll answer your question after thinking about it, to me, Miami is much more dangerous.
Dan Patrick
Okay. Did you ever, ever get in trouble in Utah?
Todd Fuhrman
Never. In fact, I think I, I'm an adopted Mormon. I, I, that's how good I've been when I've been in Utah.
Dan Patrick
Have fun at the All Star Game. Good to talk to you.
Todd Fuhrman
Thank you, Theodore. Thank you, Daniel. It's good to see you back.
Dan Patrick
Reggie. Aloysius Miller Jr. III. He'll be on the call. So it's Reggie Carmelo, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Noah Eagle, Jamal Crawford. That's a starting lineup right there. And it's on NBC. For the first time since 2002, NBC has the All Star Saturday. That's 5 Eastern. The All Star game itself. 5 Eastern on Sunday. We'll take a break. Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all of our shows@foxsportsradio.com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to listen live. Last call for phone calls. What we learn, what's in store tomorrow. You know, when you think about it, if you're a visiting player, the most dangerous cities as far as getting in trouble, entertainment wise, Vegas would be up there. Miami certainly up there. Atlanta would be up there. Phoenix, would that be up there as being a entertaining, dangerous town? I don't think I'd put it in the Atlanta, Miami, Vegas triangle. Yes, Marvin.
Todd Fuhrman
Los Angeles. Yeah, just la. Work alone.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. Dallas, Houston. But people who live in Vegas don't live at the Strip. You know, you make it seem like people go, oh, my gosh, you know, it must be 24 7. And they're like, no, no, we have normal lives. Or our hours might be different, but they live normal lives. You can live out in Henderson. I mean, you can live out. There's a lot of places to live out. Yes, Marvin, New Orleans. Yeah.
Paulie
Yeah.
Dan Patrick
I'd put that up there, too. Tony in Montana. Not to be confused with Tony Montana. Hey, Tony. Hey, thanks for taking my call, Dan. I love you guys. All the Dan eds. You guys are superior people. And anyway, I'm Marvin's height with slightly bigger hands. 175. My first question, I'll be brief, is what do the Minnesota Vikings. I'm a longtime Minnesota sports fan. Suffering sports fan. What do they do about quarterback? And I have a question for Seaton. I know he's a big MLS fan, and I'm wondering why he took down the Minnesota loons scarf behind his desk. Seaton.
Seaton
It's funny. I'm not a big MLS fan. I'm a big USL fan, actually. So really, I don't have it. I don't know that I have any MLS scarves here.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. So, Tony, stay in your lane.
Seaton
Yeah. Stay in your lane, Tony.
Dan Patrick
Yeah.
Seaton
All right. Watch it.
Dan Patrick
You know, here's another thing. If you have two teams out west, Vegas and Seattle, what do you do for realignment in the NBA? One team stays in the west, and then you're going to have a team in the west that goes to the East. I'm guessing, you know, Minnesota Timberwolves, maybe, or New Orleans. Yeah.
Paulie
Paulie, what is the easternmost Western Conference team? Try saying that five times.
Seaton
The easternmost Western Conference.
Paulie
Memphis.
Seaton
Some type of pelican situation.
Todd Fuhrman
Yeah.
Paulie
Memphis.
Dan Patrick
Yeah. I'd have to look at my map just to see where that line of demarcation is. And I wonder how the NBA would come up with, hey, here's our logic in moving this team to the Eastern Conference. Seaton, final results of the poll question.
Seaton
We have many poll questions up there today. The super bowl will be remembered most for Bad Bunny. We have. Should team history follow a franchise to a new city? That is an overwhelming no. We have. Whose career would you want? Joe Flacco or Sam Darnold? Flacco. Running away with that. We also have. Would you rather crap your pants publicly or be humiliated in the Super Bowl? Humiliated in the super bowl is winning that one.
Dan Patrick
And rightfully so.
Seaton
Rightfully so. Yeah.
Dan Patrick
Yes.
Paulie
Yeah.
Seaton
And the team more likely to make it back to the super bowl next season. The Seahawks have 90% of that vote.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, I would agree with.
Seaton
That's the right answer.
Dan Patrick
I'll be surprised if New England makes the playoffs next year. Yeah, I will. This day in sports history, Paulie.
Paulie
1961, the AFL's Los Angeles franchise was transferred to San Diego and then years later went back and, oh, that's about it.
Stugots
Oh.
Paulie
Tampering with the baseball was out, outlawed.
Dan Patrick
With major league baseball in 1920, I fell in love. On this date, 1968, Peggy Fleming won the gold medal in women's figure skating. And I was. I think I was 12. And then years, years later, I got to meet her at a Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year party. And I was too nervous to walk over to her. I was just staring at her. She was like two tables over. And then I said that to somebody who was there with me. They went over to her and said that I was too nervous to come over. And she walked. She was walking over. I didn't know she had been told about this. She's walking over and I'm going, she's coming.
Seaton
All of a sudden your arms are like six feet long. You don't know what to do with anything. You're like, hi.
Dan Patrick
And she's. She did. She went, hi, I'm Peggy Fleming. And I go, hi. No, hi, I'm Dan. I had a crush on you when I was 12. Todd, what'd you learn today?
Todd Fuhrman
Reggie Miller believes LeBron would be the fourth option if he went back to Cleveland. And Miami's more dangerous than Vegas for the visiting team.
Dan Patrick
Seaton, what'd you learn today?
Seaton
No one. Hit the topics.
Dan Patrick
Stay in your lane, Marvin.
Todd Fuhrman
You'd rather be Matt Ryan than Philip Rivers.
Dan Patrick
Paul, I just looked back at some.
Paulie
Peggy Fleming pictures from the late 60s. You weren't wrong.
Dan Patrick
Yeah, yeah. Todd, what did I learn today?
Todd Fuhrman
Mike Golick senior surprised the Pats abandon the run a bit prematurely against Seattle.
