You are listening to the Dan Patrick show on Fox Sports Radio. Final hour in this Monday Dan and the Danettes. Dan Patrick show had a lot of fun out in Las Vegas. Thanks again for those that came out early in the morning to say hello. Ben Affleck, Jay Z and Beyonce were there at the race. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones, Jeremy Renner, Gordon Ramsay, Travis Scott, Magic Johnson, Mark Wahlberg, Sierra. So Sierra was there, but Russell Wilson was not. I do have a little rapport because we were in a movie together. Very little rapport. I don't know if I have any rapport with her husband anymore. He used to come on all the time. Yeah. He used to like us. Yeah. Yeah. Our relationship is probably rapport. Very rapport. See what I did with that time. Okay, thank you. Thank you, Sierra. That'd be nice to say hello to her again. Yes. Paul, based off that list of celebrities, who would you most want to attend an F1 race with Vegas or other? I would say Beyonce. Yeah. And she had her racing. Did you see her outfit? Yeah. Full fire suit. She was on fire. Indeed. Not literally, figuratively. She was. She was. Yeah. Ready for something. Yeah. I would say Beyonce. I mean, Jay Z maybe, but Beyonce. Yeah, sure. I don't know what we would talk about, but. So you like, you like car racing? Yeah. Do you like to go fast? Remember when you were in Destiny's Child? Yeah. Remember that? Remember you were in Austin Powers? Remember that? So you need a celebrity who's a little less famous to comfortably hang. Jeremy Renner. You could have a couple, you know, cocktails, hang out. Yeah, he's pretty. He's real famous, but, like, not Beyonce famous. Yeah. Jeremy Renner seems like a fairly normal guy. I, I could hang with Jeremy Renner. Okay. I could hang with Jeremy. Mark Wahlberg, he's real health conscious, though. Eating a salad. Yeah. Ben Affleck doesn't drink anymore. You're eating that this late at night, you know what that's going to do to you? Wahlberg. Laughter after five laps to go get some sleep. Magic Johnson. Tell me, how many championships have you won, Magic? I think it's 18 or 19. I don't. Gordon Ramsay. No. No. Really? No. It seems annoying. He puts on a show on his show. Yeah, I know. Maybe you could have killed me one time, this dude, he got like, some, like, raw chicken in one of his meals and it was. There's. I don't know if it was raw, but it was, it was undercooked for sure. And him. Yeah, you could have killed me. He was screaming at the first. Just the best. All right, we got football coming up tonight. It's the Niners and Panthers. Surprisingly interesting for me. And an important game. And you got the Niners are favored by seven and a half. The Raiders have fired Chip Kelly as their offensive coordinator. The Giants fired their defensive coordinator, Shane Bowen. And you know when you get to the fourth quarter and you're leading in five games this year, you've blown five fourth quarter leads. I would say that's coaching. That would be quarterback play as well. But you fired your defensive coordinator. This according to Ian Rapaport. Let's pull question for the final hour of the program. Rick Neuheisel will join us. We'll see if Rick's got an answer for the Lane Kiffin question. Also, what's the committee do with Notre Dame and Miami since Miami beat Notre Dame, but Notre Dame is going to be ranked higher with the selection committee. All right, Seaton, most surprising division leader right now The Bears have 62% of that vote, followed by the Patriots at just 19. Colts have 10% of that vote, which is surprising. And then above 500 team that you believe in the least. Right now The Panthers have 47% of that vote, followed by the Jaguars. Yeah, yeah, I, I give the Panthers credit. I don't know how they're doing it, but you know, when you beat Green Bay and Green Bay, that tells me a little bit about you and that they didn't quit on the season and if they could somehow get eight, nine wins, man, that would be impressive. Yeah, Paulie Bryce Young, 14 touchdowns, seven picks, decent rushing yard, good quarterback rating. Everything's better than last year. More consistent than last year. Pete in Iowa. Then we'll get to Rick Newheim. So. Hi, Pete. Hi. Oh, longtime caller and listener. I just wondered if you got to see the Iowa Hawkeye Cajun region. Won a game almost by himself as a punt. Returner. Had three punt return yards for 107 yards. They might have got the Michigan State coach fired over that deal because they kept kicking to him. And in the game the announcers kept saying don't kick to them. And Michigan State went back and looked like they were going to go for it three times on fourth down and the quarterback dropped back and punted it just so we just wouldn't be back there. And it ended up costing them the game. Well, big win for Iowa. Michigan State, they used to be something. Wasn't that long ago when they were something. Not anymore. Rick Newheisel, you can see him on cbs. College Football analyst, also former college coach as well. All right, here we are on the Monday. And do we have him almost ready? Almost. Oh, okay. I was doing my big presentation there. Can you. You can't ramp that. That up again? Yeah. Okay. So are, are we good? We are ready. Okay. I'm not seeing Rick's face here. This is. He not able to come. So this is just a. A phone interview? Yeah, he's having trouble with his camera. He's got to do audio only. Okay, that's fine. All right. All right, Rick, so I can't see you, but I can hear you. Here we are on a Monday. Lane Kiffin supposed to make his decision by Friday, maybe Saturday. What do you think that decision will be? I had originally thought, Dan, that he was going to go to Florida. I think that was kind of always in the back of his mind what he wanted to do. But the more I'm listening to those who act like they're in the know in the coaching fraternity more. I think LSU is the favorite. I think LSU is in a state of desperation given all the annex that have taken place there. And I know, given my conversations with Nick Saban, what sort of personnel you can put together in the state of Louisiana as the only, you know, power for school from that state and the amount of talent that exists in that state. So I just think probably LSU right now is the leaning as the favorite. But I won't be shocked if it's Florida or lsu. I will be shocked if it's Ole Miss. Yeah. I'm just trying to understand this. And I brought this up on the show that documentary ESPN did on Lane and finding happiness and peace of mind and his family and everything was great in Oxford and then. But I don't know what it is about the makeup of a lot of you coaches. It's all right. I did, I accomplished what I wanted to here. Now I have to move like you have to keep moving. What is that characteristic trait that it almost seems like it's from birth with some of these coaches. Steve Mariucci came to the University of Washington for a pro day. He was looking at Marcus Tuiasa Sopo and he sat there and he said, you know, we should be in like politicians. We should have a four year term. If we're successful, we should get reelected and then we should have term limits and go someplace else. Because at the end of eight years, all you've done is built up expectations that if you make it, you're okay. It's relief instead of jubilation and you should be able to go somewhere else and build it again and hopefully get another fan base that's excited about you rather than now disappointed that you're anxious that you're hovering around the Mason Dixon line. Dabo Sweeney would be an example of that. Right? Yeah. So I, I just think that Lane is at a situation now where he's got this amazing power. And then I also think we have to point at the agent here. Jimmy Sexton is playing this thing like a master violinist. I mean, he is, he is, it's a concerto. I mean, he's got, he's got Kaylin DeBoer's name in this thing as interested in potentially going to Penn State. That creates another suitor for Lane if Alabama became open. And all of a sudden now all these different people are trying to hang on to their guy and Jimmy's clients are sitting there. They're all going to get the benefit of a new market that is made. So it's, it's a, it's a wonderful, wonderful time of year, if you like this sort of thing. And it's driving everybody else crazy. It may sound crazy to say this, but did Penn State make a mistake in firing James Franklin? I think so. I mean, what are they going to get? Who are they going to get that's going to make, be better than James Franklin over the lifetime of a career? Now, it may turn out that way, but my goodness gracious, to please the, the fan base which obviously was pushing the button to get rid of him. How are you going, what name are you going to get that's out there that's going to do that? Now Kaylin DeBoer might, but that also is going to require a major, major check writing campaign. And whether or not they're, they're feeling they're up to that, we'll wait and see. Yeah, the whole Kalyn DeBoer in Alabama and I started to hear stuff, you know, and it's not negative stuff. It's just, is he happy or is his family happy there? Yeah. Whether that's true or not, but it just kind of, those are the things that linger. And then I was, was told by somebody who talked about chaos in the off season in college football. And I don't know what exactly that means, but you're hinting at chaos in the off season and who benefits from that chaos other than this? The agents. I mean, they, they're in the transaction business. They want to sell houses. Right. They want, they want more buying and selling, more commissions. And it is a, it's a wonderful time of year for them. Rick Neuheisel, CBS Sports COLLEGE football analyst former college football head coach how does the committee kind of find a solution for the Notre Dame Miami conundrum? Wow. Well, they keep them out of the same pool. That was a revelation that Hunter Yuricheck gave us last week. They're not even being considered against each other. So when the committee starts to put these things together, they put three or four schools together in one deal and now they start analytic conversations and all the different machinations that go into deciding which of those schools should be ranked 1 and which should be ranked 4. But if they're not in the same pool, they don't ever get that head to head conversation. So by virtue of the 70 to 7 victory over Syracuse, you could actually move Notre Dame up a spot this week. Right. You could put them ahead of Oklahoma. And if you do that, you might keep Miami from ever getting into the same pool in terms of conversation with Notre Dame, which would be a absolute head scratcher for all of us who, remember I thought it mattered what happened on the field. But, but it seems as if they're hell bent to get Notre Dame in and Notre Dame's playing well, which makes it easier for him. And Miami may never actually get considered along with Notre Dame, which would be absolutely ridiculous. Ohio State hasn't really been challenged during the regular season and I don't know when you have a team that's that good, but you get into the postseason, you know you're going to have those close games, learning how to win those close games. It feels like, you know, we see this in March Madness. You can be the number one team, but you're going to have a close game. And that, you know, can be the difference between you moving on or, you know, being knocked out. What do you expect from Michigan against Ohio State? Oh, their best shot, obviously. And then they're gonna hope like heck that Washington beats Oregon, right? Yeah. If that can happen, then, then we will have checked that box for Ohio State. If they can win a close game against Michigan and kind of shake this, this Michigan flu that they've had for the last four years. This, this is a monster game for Ohio State. They've rested their receivers. Carnell Tate and Jeremiah Smith didn't play last week. A number of guys were on the DL, so to speak, and get ready for this game. This is, this is a monster game because Indiana's checked that box. We recall the comeback at Penn State. Texas AM A and M has checked that box coming from behind 30 to 3 against South Carolina. We haven't seen Ohio State do that. And I do believe Ohio State's vulnerable in some areas. They just haven't been exposed. So, yeah, this is one of those deals where Brian Day certainly wants to shake this, but he would like there to be some challenge to it. How patient will Colorado be with Deion Sanders? I think patient. I think they've got so much money invested in him that as long as he can convince him that he's all in and will work hard to put together the right stuff on the field, that we're not going to let him go. You know, obviously, when you're not making bowl games, you're. You're not worth eight figures, which is what they're paying him. But the amount of attention that he brought to the program, they've got to at least play it out a few more years to see if he can actually get this recruiting thing down. And, and Dion's got to decide if he's healthy enough to actually go on the road because Dion in your home would be a. Would be a big selling point. But he doesn't leave campus. He does it all on the phone. Whether or not that's good enough, we'll have to wait and see. Thank you, bud. Happy holidays and we'll talk to you soon. Can't wait, buddy. Talk to you soon. Rick Neuheisel, CBS Sports. Former college football coach as well. Yeah, the Lane Kiffin situation, it really depends on the day and the hour, it feels like. And all this cryptic, you know, texting and, you know, social media stuff. And then you're like, just, just concentrate on, you know, coaching your team. I wondered, you know, when this offer came out from lsu, is he going to coach this his team? And if he does make his announcement, let's say he's leaving on Saturday. He's going to take this job after the season. Is he going to be able to coach his team in the playoffs? Like you have to coach the playoffs, but if you're Ole Miss, do you want him coaching your team in the playoffs? Oh, it's all. Has all the makings of being a disaster for Ole Miss. Yes. Paulie, I don't want to put a monkey wrench in it, but can you imagine if Mississippi State won? They're not the worst team in the world. There'll be a lot of people rooting for Mississippi State if they know Lane Kiffin is leaving to go to LSU. Yeah, Paulie, it's only a touchdown spread, eight point, seven point spread this is not like a 30 point game this week. Yeah. Yeah. Marvin. I feel like the Kiffin rule is going to be implemented sooner than later. Like, if you're under contract, you cannot be contacted. Yeah, but his agent is contacted. I mean, they'll find a way. It's. It's always going to be a third party. There's always going to be that somebody one twice removed from the person you're trying to talk to. Yes. If there's any coach in college football who would get a rule changed almost immediately somehow, it's Lane Kiffin. Not really sure why it would be him, but it'd be like, oh, great, look at what Lane. We got to stop. Yes. This is enough. Is enough. Lane ruined it for all of us coaches. Yes is enough. Yes. And Lane's gonna have egg bowl on his face if he doesn't win this game. That's good. That's solid. Take a break here. We'll come back. Shut me down. What? Paulie gave you your flowers. Just wait. Let's go to Frank in Arkansas. You did one of those. That was a really great joke. You did so well there, man. Well done by you. Well done. All right. It's like a base hit. Perfectly fine base hit. I didn't say it was a home run or anything. Oh, Todd, don't be humble. It was great. It was great. It was so good what you did there. It was fantastic. And who wasn't very sensitive in Las Vegas to me with strep? That'd be me. Okay. Yes. You were fighting my own stuff. So you think I would be extra sensitive to what you were going through? I'm like, Well, I can't say what I said. No, the itine was there and you were. You were sweaty and salty. Yes. I'm sweating through my T shirt that I had. I'm. I so hot. Thank you. Wait a minute. Let me say it again. Yeah, drop it down. I was sweating through my T shirt. Grouchy host. Oh, don't even try it. Yeah, Paulie. So on Friday morning, you weren't feeling good, and you were sweating and hurting. Todd had made a big recovery, and he was kind of being Friday Fritzy while you were hurting. And it was. It was tense. Yeah. I wasn't aware that you weren't feeling well because you had just gotten there, and we didn't get a chance to have a conversation. So I gave you a piece of paper, and as you were reaching for it, I took it back. And you weren't pleased by that. Yeah, yeah. I'm having a playful moment with you not knowing that you were the fighting stuff. You know what? When you're sick again, I'm going to do those things too. Wasn't those things. It was one little playful moment when I was trying to interrupt you and you just. You weren't going to let me talk. Elaine, Kevin's gonna have egg ball on his face if they lose. That is great. Let's give it a second shot. That is unbelievable. Take a break. We're back after this. Two said, we keep inching, you know, further away from the holidays and that's when we start with Christmas. Yes. Mariah Carey just had an all time great tweet response. I don't know if it was on Twitter or somewhere on social media. It was great. But somebody, you know how they do like those posts where it says like nobody and then they say something and then like Mariah Carey says this or whatever and the, the picture was of a number that was like 106,547,000 and the person said no one, blah, blah. And then since Mariah Carey's bank account every Christmas time and it was like 1 million and she responded to that by saying change the one to a five and then you got it. Wow. Mic drop. Damn. Yeah, but is she happy? I. If she's not, then it's her fault. Oh, yeah, but I'm just 100% her fault. Is she happy? I don't know. Yes. Yes. Is she married? Mariah Carey? No. Yes. What is the acceptable start of taking in the festivities and the music and putting on the lights? Like, does it have to be at least December 1st, about after Thanksgiving, Immediately after Thanksgiving? Ding, ding, ding. That's all. I heard a Bruce Springsteen, santa's coming to town. And I went, nope. Click. It's making a list. Sounded a little better than that. Sounded a little better than that. Yes, Paulie, it really is a slap in the face to Thanksgiving. Yes. Thanksgiving is a one seat of holidays. You. All you do is eat and watch sports and try to ignore family or enjoy family, but, like, there's not all the build up. It's just one great day. Yeah. Not a lot of pressure, you know, maybe for the person cooking the turkey, but that's it. But, yeah, I drove by, saw a house that had their lights on. I went, can't do it. Christmas music, can't do it. Yes, Marvin. Well, there is pressure on the people you like. You said making the food. Like, who's making the macaroni and cheese? Who's making the yams? That is a big deal. Yeah, but that's. That's not prep. That's not turkey. You have to buy that much. What? No. Turkey pressure is real pressure. Is it? Yes. Not important. Yes. Yes, it is. Because if it fails, Thanksgiving fails. I'm. I'm sorry, What? Yes, I said it. Oh, turkey's like the four seed. No, no. Ham. No is more important. Ham. Yes. Ham's more important than turkey. Without question. DP Dang. This is Thanksgiving. I'm not coming over to your house. You sure? Yeah, I'm sure. No, no. Our turkey's fried. You're sure? Yeah, but you said it doesn't matter. I mean, it's going to be good regardless. But it's not that important. It's not as important as the Mac and cheese or the yams or the stuffing. Are you drinking Thursday night? What are you drinking? Shirley Temple. Three of them. Got three of them. This is a great group to take out to dinner because Paulie and Seaton don't drink. Fritz, he doesn't drink. Restaurants hate us, though. Yeah, restaurants have a lot of work. No money. Now the back room guys, they all drink. So they're like, you ordered wine. I go, who wants it? And then they're all raising their hands and they go, okay, we'll get wine. Yeah. Paul, this may bother you worse. I saw this article. I think it was Wall Street Journal online. There are now big companies, concierge companies that help you do your Christmas lights at your house. So like if you live in a well to do neighborhood, they have these high end places that come in the day after Thanksgiving and do the whole thing and they charge thousands of dollars. They also had a story about these new houses being built with built in lighting, like decorative lighting, Christmas lighting, where it's like kind of by the gutter area. Yeah, lack of a better word. And you could flip a switch during the season and everything lights up and it's thousands upon thousands. Yeah, but I'm okay if somebody comes out and hangs all the lights and the garland and all that because you shouldn't get amateurs on a ladder. I'm fine with that. Is that the fun thing, seeing people? No, no, no. There's nothing fun with it. Because my wife will be like, we're going to decorate. I'll go, who's we? Oh, come out, keep me company. Yes, Todd. There's always that house where they pretend they did it when the neighbors are looking and say, I'm going to like touch this little bulb because I want them to think that I set this whole thing up. I didn't spend all kinds of money to have someone do it for us. What do you do at your house? We have like little blue and silver Hanukkah tinsel. We used to put up a couple of snowflakes in recent years. A big dreidel and listen to holiday music. Nothing crazy. But we don't do it. We have someone come. Of course you do. But I don't pretend that I hung up the big dreidel on top of the roof. I could imagine your wife would still be doing those. She's very handy. But I'm like, let's have someone come do it. Dylan in Orlando. Hi, Dylan. Best and worst of the weekend. Hey, Dan the guy. Thanks for taking a call. How you all doing today? Good. I'm going to say good. As a Raiders fan, I want to say my best of the weekend, surprisingly is that through the Raiders losing and getting a better draft capital, my worst of the weekend would be the type in jets and Giants also all losing, making it harder. Thank you, Dylan. Yeah. Adam in la. Hi Adam. Welcome back. Happy Monday, Dan. Dan X. I hope your weekend was great. I have two bests and a stat of the day for you. First of all though, how about that thicker kicker, Harrison Nevis? He's not just plus sized eye candy for the Rams. Going 2 for 2 on on field goals and made all his extra point attempts. And then of course, primed for the MVP is Matthew Stafford. Guys, just putting up flawless performance after flawless performance leading the Rams to another blowout win versus the Bucks. That leads me to my stat of the day. Matthew Stafford is now throwing 27sec consecutive touchdown passes without an interception. That's a new tying NFL record. Have a great week. Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Thanks DP the best. Thank you. Adam. I got a great stat for you here. Rams Meet the Buccaneers 347 Rams have won six consecutive games. They haven't trailed since the second quarter of their Week 6 win over the Ravens. So far this this season, There have been 47 games decided by a game winning score in the final two minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime. That's the most in NFL history through week 12. T. Bucks from Texas. Hey T. Bucks, what's on your mind? BP hey, how are you? Good. I got a best, best and best. We got Bernie Kosar, longtime Cleveland Brown quarterback, getting a liver transplant from a kid named Bryce Dunlap, who happened to be a die hard Browns fan as well and was just announced that he's being discharged this afternoon. So that's awesome to see. And another best, the Jameis Winston Teedi catch. I don't know why I thought of this, but it's going to be watching compared to similar to Bartolo Colon in his home run that he hit in San Diego. I just think that it's going to be every year. Hey, here's the anniversary for the home run. I just can't stop laughing thinking about it. He's entertaining. I said that. You know, I look forward to watching the games. I think he's fun. He, he's energetic, spirited, all of that. Baker and Bozeman. Hi Bake. What's on your mind today? Happy Monday, Danny, and glad that you're feeling better. Happy early Thanksgiving to all you gentlemen. So, best and worst of the weekend Bass. It was great for my alma mater, Indiana Hoosiers to get a second bye to, to gear up to dominate Purdue on Friday night and then hopefully what's a long postseason. But my worst of the weekend, Annie, is something that's been bothering me literally for years and I've just forgotten to bring it up to you. But you're the one person that can make this happen, so. And, and we know that Roger Goodell lacks the moxie of Adam Silver, so you can't connect with him directly on this, on this request. But you know, I played high school football and if we did not have our mouth card in For a single play. It was 15 yard penalty and it was tagged to the coach. In college, you have to wear your mouth guard. In NFL, they have the mouth guards just dangling out everywhere. And if the NFL is serious about reducing concussions with mouth, which mouth guards do make, the guys wear their mouth guards instead of dangling around everywhere. It's ridiculous. All right, I'll see if I can get the commissioner on. I mean, there are a lot of weird things that bother us, too, but. Yeah. And mouthpieces do help, you know, prevent concussions or reduce concussions. I understand that. I'm still back on. Okay. We're so concerned about the NFL players in their safety that we're going to change the kickoff rules. Meanwhile, the college players, who, you know, 98% of them aren't going to play after they play in college, we don't care about them if they're running down the field on a kickoff. Yeah. Go get them. Run into each other. Meanwhile, with the pros, you guys got to stand stationary, and then you wait till you touch the ball and then you get to run. Yes. I don't know if there is any real science about mouth guards preventing concussions or helping with them. I thought there was. I don't. I. I know that I've always believed that, that that's why. Oh, this is why you're supposed to do that. But I don't know if. If there is. I think it's something that we believe but isn't necessarily. Yes. Paul. I found a couple different studies, and they're inconclusive on mouth guards. They said they believe it helps the overall. Preventing shocking things happening to the head during hits, like your jaw. And the mouth guard is soft, so it absorbs some of the hit. But they said it's a light percentage if it does. Okay, back to you in the studio. All right. Nobody does homework like we do. A lot of kids listening, you know. Yeah. It's all about the kids. Yeah. Back in the day, used to have. Remember the mouth guards? You'd have to put them in hot water. Yes. And then the painful 30 seconds of putting it in your mouth and biting it and your teeth. It was a bad 45 seconds. Brushing your teeth for the next week was terrible. And then you had the one that looks like a pacifier that you see them now. But. But back then you were like, you didn't want to wear a pacifier. But that's probably the best mouthpiece to have because it hangs off your helmet and, you know, protects upper and lower. Yes. Marvin, When I was playing Pop Warner football. We called that the Michael Irvin. Oh. Like, hey, give me one of those Irvings. My coach like, get it. Get an Irving one. Looks Jeff, looks like a pacifier. Was that when you were dominating Pop Warner? There was a three year stretch where if I didn't play, there was a good chance we weren't going to win. Wow. The Lamar Jackson effect. Yeah. Who plays football the way you did in Pop Warner? John Randall. Oh, wow. Okay. My mom took me off the team because I was acting up in school and my team lost the coach. Hey, Bridget. And she goes, oh, hi, Chris. She goes, I heard you got. You guys lost and you need my Marvin. You need my Marvin. Did you get nil money in pup? Oh, That have been like, oh. If you need something from discount sports, come see it. Josh in Iowa. Hi, Josh. What's on your mind today? Hey, guys, thanks. This is a great opportunity for me. My life's pretty much downhill after this. First time, long time. Six, six eleven. A pudgy 105. Come on. Well, I had seven, nine lined up. And I didn't say that. Best of the weekend is the Cowboys. And that gritty comeback win. Worst of the weekend is now all of us Cowboy fans, we're pretty much got this false sense of we're going to win the next 10 Super Bowls anyway. That's all the time I have for today, Dan. Until next time. Thank you, Josh. Thank you. Snarky. Nice. Hey, I got to run. Yeah. But yeah, thanks for giving me that amount of your time, Josh. Appreciate that. But you know, we might look back on what Jerry Jones did or didn't do and maybe he'll get credit. Maybe it would be a legitimate story that ESPN would cover where they looked at this trade, not signing Michael Parsons, what they get in return. And it would be a legitimate reason to cover the Dallas Cowboys. And you can make a case getting Quinn and Williams and maybe not paying Micah Parsons. I mean, Parsons has 10 sacks and. And he's going to continue to be a dominating player. That's the one thing I felt that the Cowboys are still missing is having that guy who can rush the passer. You can stop the run, but you gotta stop. You gotta put some pressure on the. The quarterback as well. That would be my only knock with this. The secondary isn't very good. Yes, Marvin, I know Jerry Jones wants to be relevant, but does he also want credit? Oh, yeah. My God, yes. That's how he moved on From Jimmy Johnson 30 some years ago, because he wanted the credit. I think that's what he loved about Barry Switzer coming in and winning a Super Bowl. As if Jerry was saying, I'm the one who's winning these Super Bowls, not my coach. Anybody can be coaching my teams and win a Super Bowl. All right, we'll take a break. Last call for phone calls. What we learn what's in store tomorrow, right after this. I just saw where the Saints are going to try out Justin Tucker. His 10 game suspension just ended and I believe the Saints are bringing him in to try him out. The embattled the former Ravens kicker. Is he still a first ballot? Is he still a Hall of Famer? You're not supposed to factor in what happens off the field. I believe in the voting process for the NFL hall of Fame, but Justin Tucker is probably the greatest field goal kicker of all time, at least percentage wise. Yes. Paul. Yeah, if you take away off the field and just went on the field, I have him as six time first team all pro, nine time all pro. If he's not going in at the kicker position, who is? Yeah, but it felt like the voters held Terrell Owens maybe off the field or as a teammate against him. Michael Irvin, they didn't do that with Lawrence Taylor. He was that great. But I don't know if they do that with Justin Tucker with what happened off the field and have any, any of those lawsuit, has anything been tried or a judge or. I don't see any news. I don't see any news stories about it. Yeah. All right. Craig in Scottsdale. Hi Craig, what's on your mind today? Hey Dan, thank you very much. Appreciate the healthy debate that you guys are having with regards to food at the Thanksgiving table. One thing I do have to say is that your judgment is being clouded by your east coast bias. So let's just settle it that the meat is always the number one seed just depending upon the region of the country that you're in. Carbs, those two seed, whatever the booze is a three seed and then a distant four seed is whatever the green stuff is. But appreciate. Appreciate you allowing me. Yeah. But Craig, Craig, I'm from Ohio. I'm from the heartland of America. I'm from the Midwest. I like farmers. You know, that's so. It's on my east coast bias. This. These were my roots growing up. We could throw some skyline chili in there. Well, the weekend of Thanksgiving would always be a skyline chili stop. And white castles because. Because my kids couldn't get that anywhere. And they would say, can we get a suitcase from White Castle? So you get a. I mean it. It's a makeshift suitcase full of white castles. It's like a large cardboard box. My kids were like, oh, this is awesome. Yeah, Paulie, White Castle as a kid was such a treat. Like you said, the suitcase. My dad would get a bag that looked like a rectangle and he put it right in the middle. You just dive in. Ethan in Illinois. Hi, Ethan. What's on your mind? Hi. How's it going, guys? Hoping everybody has a good Thanksgiving. It's going to be snowing here in Illinois. And so I did the math on this. And before this week, the Bears have had a record of when they've beaten teams of 19 and 57. That's the team's records they played against. I was just wondering if you're completely sold in on the Bears. Well, you beat who you know. You got to win these games. I mean, are they overachieving? Probably. But do I think they're a playoff caliber team? I do. I do. How many teams, weekend and week out don't beat the teams they're supposed to beat? Bears are at least doing that. Do I think they're a great team? No. Very good. No. Do I think they can be a good team? Yes. Can they be a consistent team? That'll be the difference if they make the playoffs. All right, Paul. This. This day in sports history. This day in sports history. 1960. 1960, Wilt Chamberlain of the Philadelphia wars sent an NBA record with blank rebounds in a game against the Celtics. 55. 55 is correct. Wilt Chamberlain, 55. His stats. You had to take him off the board. Well, but we don't do that with Babe Ruth. But we do that. We want to do that with Will Chamberlain, silly. It's not fair. 1996, Barry Sanders of the Lions set an NFL record when he recorded his eighth straight 1,000 plus yard season. That's it. First game. Opposing coaches were brothers. 2011, it's John Harbaugh. Jim Harbaugh. Also 1927, Mississippi beats Mississippi State at the Time. Mississippi A and M in the. The inaugural Golden Egg Bowl. The Golden Egg Trophy. Not sure why they call it that. We could probably spend an entire hour on the Golden Egg Bowl. The Egg Trophy. Let's see final results of the poll question. Seaton. Yeah, we got two of them up there right now. We have up there the 500 team that you believe in the least. Least or. Well, just over 500. Okay. That you believe in. That would be the Bears, Jaguars, Panthers and 49ers. Right now the Panthers are leading that one, followed by the Jaguars. We also have the most surprising division leader. Colts, Broncos, Bears, Patriots. Bears running away with that one at 62%, followed by the Patriots at just 19. All right. Oh, you have the history of the egg bowl pole, of course. Always had that. Ready? 1911 through 1925, Mississippi State was rolling Ole Miss. And then in 1925, Ole Miss won. Their students ran on the field and tore down the goal post. They were worried that this would become a tradition, so they created a golden egg large trophy that's awarded to the winning team since 1927 that was going to keep them from running on the field and tearing down the goalpost. I think it worked from my. My research. Yes, Don. They were scrambling to get. Okay, all right. All right. I'm gonna give that to you. I'm going to give that one to you. I'll take it. Thinking of egg combinations. Cesar or Cesar in Austin. Hey, Dan, thanks for taking my call. First time, long time. 511. A husky, yet I carry wealthy bills. Husky. And I got a best of the weekend would be Lawrence taking care of business. Arkansas on Saturday, setting up the showdown with A M on Friday. And my set of the day has to do with Arch Manning. He became the first quarterback in UT history to record a touchdown via pass, receiving and rushing in the same game. Yeah, he's. He's done well. He's done well the last couple of weeks and I'm glad, you know, the expectation level was pretty high and seems like he's come back around and kind of figuring out what he does really well. Or maybe Steve Sarkeesian figuring out what he does really well. And that's an impressive performance against Arkansas. Alrighty. By the way, make sure you take advantage.
