Steve Covino
What did Dee Snider teach us in the 80s to stay hungry? What did Sebastian Maniscalanco title his last comedy special?
Rich Davis
Aren't you embarrassed? No.
Steve Covino
No. Stay hungry.
Rich Davis
Stay hungry.
Steve Covino
Stay hungry. Why would you do that? Well, let me tell you. I listened to D. Snider and that's why I'm a chubby vato loco till this day.
Rich Davis
Stay hungry.
Steve Covino
I stayed hungry, man. Stay hungry. You got to find out a way. You must find and fulfill your destiny. Because once you get to the mountaintop, once you win, once you become a champion, it is easy to get lazy and content because I've done it.
Rich Davis
Well, I was gonna say when.
Steve Covino
Guess what? Do it again.
Rich Davis
When an actor or actress finally breaks through in Hollywood and they're like, wait, this is it. Or an athlete wins a championship and they're like, this is it.
Steve Covino
Yeah, it happens a lot.
Rich Davis
That, to me is a little understandable because you worked your whole life to get there, to the top of your industry. And then when you get there, there is that sense of now. What?
Steve Covino
Yeah, but you don't shift your mindset and shift your goal to think. And again, I'm stating the obvious. I'm sure Aaron Rodgers thought about it. But to think now, well, everybody wants and they're going to try to take it from me. So I have to figure out a way to keep it.
Rich Davis
Yeah. What I'm more intrigued by Covino is the people that are so close and somehow just say nah. Like Big Mike, who runs this place, who. You're going to hear his words of wisdom in a few minutes. He brought up Jamarcus Russell like a guy that had all the talent in the world. He finally got there. But when he got to the big stage, he sort of Was like, yeah, I just don't have it in me anymore. Or like a Johnny Manziel who was like, I'm. I'm the party. Likable, gritty, small quarterback back to jamarcus Russell.
Danny G
I had season tickets in Oakland at the time. It's not that he was like, I don't have it in me anymore. He flat out got lazy. Yeah, that's like drinking the purple drink. And now I know Rich, but that's a little different than chasing the dream and you're just tired and you know what I mean? Like, yeah, he didn't really get there because he got drafted. He got that money. But like you said, there's lots of examples of dudes who get the money and then after that they go and spend the money on a lot of five star meals and Michelin star restaurants and all that. You know what I mean? And so what's the passion in you? What's the drive in you? But I like what you guys are saying. What happens for those guys that do reach the mountaintop with all that hard work. But I think about Kobe RIP look what he did post.
Steve Covino
You know, NBA dudes like them exceptionally special. That's the takeaway here because you're right, Danny, do you get that payday? And you could get lazy, like, okay. Because that was the mountaintop for a lot of people. A lot of people. It wasn't winning. Kobe Bryant, Tom Brady, people with the. That were obsessed with winning. Even though they won, they kept that fire alive, man. And that's amazing when you think about it, because it's so easy to just be content with what you already accomplished.
Danny G
And I'll give you guys props for, for a minute, you know, because I make jokes a lot on our show because I keep you guys humble. But one thing I loved working with you guys 3 years ago was we were working hard every Sunday night. And the prize was, let's get to a full time shift on the network.
Rich Davis
And here we are.
Danny G
We got it. You know, we had to bust our butts to get there. And then we were like, we weren't content with that. Now it's like, what's next? What can we do next? You got to keep that hunger. And it doesn't matter. Even if we got big paychecks, would we be like, hey, you know what, let's take our foot off the pedal now.
Rich Davis
I want to, I want to broadcast from a spaceship. Hey, that's right.
Steve Covino
You got to shift the.
Rich Davis
Move over. Katy Perry, Gayle King. We want to do the first Fox Sports radio, radio show and podcast from the Outer Orbits.
Steve Covino
Are you sure about that, though? Because they're getting a lot of flack. A lot of people.
Rich Davis
We talked about it yesterday.
Steve Covino
A lot of people saying it wasn't even real. You know, that's the weird part of social media. People run with those stories.
Rich Davis
People are so dumb.
Steve Covino
People are saying, have you seen the patch? I Have you seen their patch? Where were their helmets? Have you seen their patch? Turn the patch upside down.
Rich Davis
It looks like they're devil.
Steve Covino
The devil worshipers. Ah, Satan. There's so much conspiracy.
Rich Davis
I'm telling you, I stand by what I said yesterday. Anyone that has a problem with rich people spending their money on dumb crap, work harder and go move to a communist country. If you think everyone should get equal stuff. Rich people buy opulent, stupid things. Katy Perry, Gayle King. There's been hundreds of thousands of dollars on a frivolous space mission. But you know what their title Too rich is?
Steve Covino
Timing and optics. That's why they're getting the backlash. Even though I don't care. That's the other side of the story.
Rich Davis
There's people that spend a lot of money on stupid things and no one bats an eye. I watch Receiver like many people did on Netflix. No one cares that Justin Jefferson spends hundreds of thousands of dollars on those diamond in gold chains he wears. That's his choice. He's rich. He earned it. He's one of the best wide receivers of this generation. So to wrap that up from yesterday, I stand by Kavit this morning goes. I don't know, man, you might be on the wrong side of that conversation because everyone's saying that they suck.
Steve Covino
Yeah, everyone's hating on them like as if they accomplished something. And they're not astronauts.
Rich Davis
Well, I never said they were.
Steve Covino
Where are their helmets? And it was all fake anyway. So regardless, yeah, it's about goal shifting. That's. That's what it is. And still being able to find that hunger and not getting lazy, whether it be at the workplace, on the field, or in your relationship. How do you keep the hunger alive? And we honor and respect the teams and players that have been able to do that.
Rich Davis
It's like a hot girl that stops shaving her legs.
Steve Covino
What are you doing now? It's a two prong story. Rich before we get into Mike's. Exactly. Shave those legs. Shave your legs before we get into Mike's. Wednesday. Words of wisdom and prizes to give away in midweek.
Rich Davis
Major, by the way, your armpits too. Nothing. A bigger turnoff to me and a lot of men. A girl with stubbly pits.
Steve Covino
Are you saying stubbly pits give you the eck? Now you sound like a high maintenance pain in the ass.
Rich Davis
Shave your armpits out of hard request. So what do you lose? The hunger.
Steve Covino
This all came about because of the mom from Cobra Kai. Yeah, the mom from Cobra Kai is calling it quits. Yeah, she's done with the industry. It sort of exhausted her. The grind, the delusions. So prong two of this conversation of keeping that flame alive, keeping that fire.
Rich Davis
Going, staying hungry, eternal flame, Bengal style.
Steve Covino
I will be the flame. Cheap Trick style. Prong two of this conversation is the white flame.
Rich Davis
Kenny Powers, La Flava Blanca.
Steve Covino
No, you bozo. Let me finish the sentence. We have to be real. Yeah, she's a good looking woman. Daniel LaRusso did all right for himself. Just the kid from Newark, New Jersey, moves out to California. He's an all Valley champ. He has a car dealership, he has a nice home.
Rich Davis
Listen, man, as dumb sports fans, he.
Steve Covino
Has some goofy kids, but he has.
Rich Davis
A hot wife, as dumb sports fans would say. To reference our pal Clay Travis, he out kicked his coverage.
Steve Covino
He did. He did. So based on Courtney Hengler and her retirement at 46, Amanda LaRusso, the wife, who are the hottest TV moms. And it could be a weird answer because everybody has like a weird crush, especially growing up. Like, hey, if it was March Simpson, that's fine. Let me know about it. I want to hear about it. But let's talk about the hottest TV moms.
Rich Davis
If it's March Simpson, let us know. But then also let your therapist know.
Steve Covino
Yeah, if you want to talk about it, that's fine. But hey, call us up with Your answer at 87799 on FOX, because is there a standard answer? Are there a top few? Because she's up there. As far as hot TV moms, Cobra Kai, the Netflix series, way back on a Wednesday. Are there ones that stood out to you? And it could be something ridiculous because I grew up watching these shows and you're a kid and what do you know? But were there moms that you thought were hot? The hottest TV mom?
Rich Davis
I think there's a number one answer.
Steve Covino
I do, too. I think there's a number one answer. But again, it's all generational, right? So I guess it depends what you watched. But let's chop it up. Let's just. Let's just throw out a few names. Let's give some honorable mentions.
Rich Davis
I.
Steve Covino
You know what?
Rich Davis
Now that I'm thinking about It. I'm torn between two.
Steve Covino
I only have. Honestly, maybe I'm a picky guy. I only have one answer. There's only one I can.
Rich Davis
In the history of television, there's only one mom.
Steve Covino
But I don't. I know you're thinking Modern Family. I didn't watch that show, but I can't deny there were some hotties on that show.
Rich Davis
Well, to take my. One of my top answers because I.
Steve Covino
Noticed shows you like.
Rich Davis
Oh, what do you like?
Steve Covino
I didn't watch a lot of those.
Rich Davis
Goofy shows, stupid documentaries about octopuses.
Steve Covino
Yeah, I'm more of that type of guy growing up. Am I crazy to think this? When you think of all the shows of the 80s, right. I'm an 80s kid. 80s 90s for me. When I think about all the moms, it's not like I'm thinking Elise Keaton, Meredith Baxter, Burning. Judith Light, Angela. Mona was hotter than Angela. Even though, by the way, side note, Judith Light was in the News recently. She's 76. She looks exactly the same. She looks fantastic. So I didn't think Angela was much of a looker back then, but for a 76 year old lady, she looks fantastic.
Rich Davis
Someone's a little picky here.
Steve Covino
No, no, they're not my answer. They could be yours.
Rich Davis
She was good enough for Tony Micelli, but not Steve Covino.
Steve Covino
Oh, okay. Dude. Mona was the hottest on that show. We're not doing hottest grandmas though, because if we were, I'd have to say Helen Roper is the answer. Hottest moms. Hottest moms. Has to be Joanna Kearns, aka Maggie Malone. Mrs. Seaver, Growing Pains. That's my answer. She's an attractive woman. She was a mom, but she was still like hot. And she was hot enough to be a newscaster on the show. I don't really. I can't think of many hot moms on TV shows growing up.
Rich Davis
I, I am.
Steve Covino
So that's why like just by default it's like relative proximity theory. She wasn't that hot. But compared to all the other moms on TV growing up, she was the hottest.
Rich Davis
I got, I got two that I'm. I'm throwing out there to start this. Ok, I'm going Modern Family like you suggested, but I'm not going Sofia Vergara. Even though she is the mom to Manny.
Steve Covino
Manny. Definitely the answer. I smoke.
Rich Davis
I think the answer is underrated because of, because of the eye rolling sex appeal of a Sofia Vergara. She goes so under the radar. You're going to see her again this summer in The Sandman's Happy Gilmore 2. She returns as Virginia Vennett. Julie Bowen, mother of three kids. Her goofy husband, Phil Dunphy. I think Julie Bowen as Claire Dunphy is one of the. One of the hottest moms.
Steve Covino
Hotter than Sofia Vergara.
Rich Davis
Depends on what your taste is.
Steve Covino
Oh, come on.
Rich Davis
That depends on what you like. And I think my other answer. I'm going back to the. I'm going back to the late 80s and 90s. You're not thinking mom because on the show she's referenced as aunt more often. But when Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky had twins, that would make.
Steve Covino
Have mercy, Aunt Becky. Yeah. Lori Loughlin.
Rich Davis
Lori Loughlin.
Steve Covino
Yeah. You know what? You know what, man? That's a pretty good answer. Lori Loughlin is underrated.
Rich Davis
So I'm going Lori Loughlin. You know what it is?
Steve Covino
I hate to say it, that Jesse Costopoulos, that that guy is so damn handsome. It downplays her hotness. Really is. But think about Stamos is so Stamos that he. His mullet hogged up her beauty. But you really look at it.
Danny G
Yeah, Rich. Rich nailed it on that one.
Steve Covino
Yeah, you know what, Rich? I'm not gonna argue that one. She is sneaky beautiful, for sure. I mean, not even sneaky, but who gets all the credit for being good looking? John. Enough with that guy.
Danny G
Can I flash you guys back? It's a way back Wednesday, please.
Steve Covino
You know what? Do we. You know what? We may have found an answer. Because if we all agree, like Danny, you said you agree. Lori Laughlin. I actually agree Lori Laughlin too. Rich brought her up. Sam, does she get your nod?
Danny G
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
Steve Covino
She might be the answer. But who else you got? Danny J.
Danny G
Well, when I was a little kid, I remember thinking Claire Huxtable was kind of hot because she was a lawyer. Claire, like I want to marry a law. And she was pretty and she, you know, she was like that woman that we all thought, man, if I get lucky enough to Felicia, I did find a successful woman in my life.
Rich Davis
She's a super good looking woman.
Steve Covino
You ever see that weird clip when. When Bill Cosby is talking to her about the Spanish fly. You ever see that? Like, really weird. Oh, look it up from the Cosby Show.
Danny G
Oh, boy.
Steve Covino
Yes. Weird as hell. He gets real creepy with her.
Danny G
When I said way back Wednesday, and this second time I'm shouting William out. My grandfather, rest in peace. But he had this huge crush. He would talk about her and when this. When the reruns of this would come on, I swear I Never saw this dude, like, this obsessed with a woman. He never looked at my grandma like this. Mary Tyler Moore, Dick Van Dyke Show. She was a smoke show. YouTube idiot. All of us. Well, think about it. You know, that was way back before all of us were born. But she was the. Like, when people looked at her, they were like, dang, that girl is. Yeah, she stole the show. Literally. On that TV show.
Steve Covino
Yeah. Look, there's a lot of beautiful women in Hollywood, but we're talking moms. Specifically. They were the TV mom.
Rich Davis
Well, I'll give you this. The woman that we talked about earlier that just started the conversation about athletes and celebrities, Amanda LaRusso making it to the top. I think Amanda LaRusso, the actress Courtney Hengler is definitely up there. She's. She's beautiful. But if you want to talk hottest TV moms, let's go 87799 on Fox. We'll talk some NFL coming up. Some n. But right now, your hot TV moms. Let's start with Michael in Virginia. What's up, Michael?
Steve Covino
Hey, what's up? I love the show, guys.
Rich Davis
Thanks, buddy.
Steve Covino
What's up? Hey, Mike, before you give me your answer. What's that? Before you give me your answer, if you had to choose, Carol Brady or Alice. If you had to choose. Oh, that's a hard one. I'm gonna say Carol Brady.
Rich Davis
But then again, Alice had Sam the butcher. Oh, like, all hot and bothered.
Steve Covino
So anyway, but mine is, believe it or not, was married with children. Peggy. Hey, you know. You know what? She was all horned up. So there was some. There was some hotness there.
Rich Davis
Think about it. Like, I mean, Al, she would always go walk up to the bedroom and be like, oh, what do you want, pig?
Steve Covino
We have a theory here on the show, and maybe it's not a theory. Maybe it's an obvious observation. But all the redheaded ladies on TV growing up were all horned up. Mrs. Roper. Mona. Peg Bundy.
Rich Davis
Yeah. If you were a redheaded mom or woman on a TV show in our childhood, you just sort of wanted it.
Steve Covino
Yeah, I guess. Yeah, you were. You were ready for it.
Rich Davis
It's a great answer. Peg Bundy.
Steve Covino
Peg Bundy was kind of. She was hot for Alex.
Rich Davis
Weren't you more of a Marcy Darcy guy?
Steve Covino
No, I liked Steve, by the way.
Rich Davis
You know how you joke about your name Steve being like sort of like an old guy name now?
Steve Covino
Well, yeah. Name Steve. And Rich and Mike. They're starting to be like old guys.
Rich Davis
Like 80s, 90s. Yeah, funny. Funny enough. If you haven't seen the Minecraft movie yet? Jack Black's character, it's sort of like an older guy, a middle aged guy down on his luck. And it's like, hey, I'm Steve.
Steve Covino
The Minecraft guy is. His name is Steve. Steve.
Rich Davis
So, yeah, Brian socal. What's up, man? There you are, Brian. What's up, man?
Danny G
Guy stole my answer. Peggy Bundy was a gamer.
Steve Covino
I think people sleep on her because of the goofy hairdo.
Rich Davis
Yeah, but you know what, Brian?
Steve Covino
Because think about it. Because Al was always like pushing her off like she wanted it and.
Rich Davis
Hold on, Brian. Let's go to Brian for a second. Brian, back in the 80s, she was wearing high heels and leopard prints and the hair was. That was fashionable back then. So it was like 60s esque, sort.
Steve Covino
Of like a throwback, like a beehive.
Unknown
Yeah, Hairspray style.
Steve Covino
I had a bouffant.
Rich Davis
I thought Peg Bundy really was like a beautiful woman back then.
Danny G
She had cleave too. I mean, the cleave was there.
Rich Davis
Yeah, she. She was in your face. Come on. Yeah. Let me tell you.
Unknown
Katie Segal Seagal.
Rich Davis
Katie, what world do you live on?
Steve Covino
I'm sorry, I don't know.
Unknown
I don't know how to pronounce her name.
Rich Davis
It's. It's S, A G, A L. Katie Seagal, one of the most famous actors.
Unknown
Steven Seagal spelling.
Steve Covino
By the way, she's still a good looking woman, man. Oh, yeah, yeah.
Rich Davis
She was the voice of.
Unknown
She was on Futurama, right? She was the voice of a.
Rich Davis
She was on a million things. I'm just. I mean, honestly, Shock Sam, you know, a lot of stuff I thought that you can't pronounce Katie Seagal.
Steve Covino
I thought it was Seagal and I said it wrong.
Rich Davis
I thought of like, yeah, Steven Seagal's sister.
Unknown
No, it's not, it's not.
Rich Davis
It's a different spot.
Steve Covino
She's also on the. Why am I drawing a blank? The motorcycle show.
Rich Davis
Sons of Anarchy.
Steve Covino
Sons of Anarchy, Yeah. So she's still doing it and looking great.
Rich Davis
Oh, I thought you were gonna say the other motorcycle show. You like hogs? Hogs and more hogs.
Steve Covino
That's another show. Yeah.
Rich Davis
Let's. Let's go to Sacktown. Our brother Sean. What's up, Sean?
Steve Covino
Sean. Yeah.
Danny G
My favorite feelings for the Dan Patrick show, man. Still, still mad I didn't catch y'all this weekend, man.
Rich Davis
I thought, I thought about that too. And I'm like, you know, we should. We sort of got a drink with Sean when we were up in Sacktown.
Steve Covino
That's why we're inviting Everybody to Vegas June 20th through the 22nd. This is your invite. A lot of our listeners and friends are going to be there, so just book a flight and we'll let you know the details as they come. June 20th through the 22nd.
Rich Davis
So what do we got, y'all? Man, hot TV mouse.
Danny G
We gonna have to hit up the mint Rhino one of those days. But real quick.
Rich Davis
Yes, sir.
Danny G
All this hype. I'm gonna give you a quick top five. I cannot disagree with Danny G. My man named two of the top five. Number five. I'm gonna go with Mary Tyler Moore because I stayed up extra late to watch Nick and Knight just to catch her. Number four. I don't even know what her name is, but the chick from I Dream of Jeannie every time, she was in.
Steve Covino
A little satin lace Barbara Eden, right?
Rich Davis
Yeah, but hold on.
Steve Covino
She wasn't a mom, because I was thinking about. She was fine, you know, Same with Wonder Woman growing up, but. Yeah, but they didn't have kids on the show.
Rich Davis
She had a baby and then she just kept it in the lamp.
Steve Covino
I was thinking about it. I was thinking about it. So, hey, she. She deserves a shout out because they were hot. But she wasn't a mom on the show as far as I remember.
Danny G
Okay, okay, real quick, top three. Keg is a gal. Peggy's up there. Felicia Rashad is a hard number two. Come on, man. First. First time I experienced jungle fever was watching the Cosby Show. And then number one, Suzanne Summers. And step by Step, that Boy, I never wanted that time master so bad.
Rich Davis
Come on, that's a great answer. The late, great Suzanne Summers. Didn't she pass away a couple years ago? I got that right.
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Rich Davis
Suzanne Summers and the hunky Patrick Duffy. Kavino didn't watch that because anytime I reference a 90s Friday night TGIF lineup, Kavino's like, yeah, you were sitting home in your house picking your butt, watching tgif. And I was out with on dates.
Steve Covino
I was going out, living my life. You were hanging out with Steve Urkel.
Rich Davis
Well, after Steve Urkel. Did I do that? Because it was Full House. Then it was perfect. Then it was family matters. And in between family matters and perfect strangers. Step by step.
Steve Covino
And it was perfect thighs.
Rich Davis
It was Patrick Duffy and Suzanne Summers. It was like a modern day Brady Bunch where it was they.
Steve Covino
Suzanne Summers was so hot. Especially in the threes company days. Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do. But I don't know, man. I think we got our answer. When? We'll take your answers. I don't know if you could beat Lori Loughlin. I think we discovered it. She might be the hottest TV mom and it's a sneaky answer because we know her as Aunt Becky. But she was a mom on Full House.
Danny G

On the new limited podcast series Dub Dynasty, we hear from head coach Steve Kerr on how Steph Curry almost never even joined the Warriors.
Rich Davis
In fact, I thought we had a.
Steve Covino
Draft day deal to end up getting him to Phoenix for the entire behind.

Steve Covino
Warriors came out to play in a battle over the Grizzlies, so props to them and of course tonight, Heat and the Bulls, Mavs and the Kings. And thank you guys for hanging out with us. Live from the Mercedes Benz Studio, TireRack.com is the official tire expert and retailer of the Dan Patrick show. Go to tirerack.com dan and try the Tire Decision Guide. See all the full line of General Tires special offers, free road hazard protection and mobile tire installation. Tire rack.com the way tire buying should.
Rich Davis
Be Ooh, General Tires. We had a lot of fun today so far. I feel like there's a theme of today's show and it has to.
Steve Covino
It's day three of the Dan Patrick Hatrick.
Rich Davis
There's a little bit of delusion. There's a little bit of, you know, what happens when you get to the top in sports or media or acting. A lot of themes today. And I think there's one more story that we're going to get to in a few minutes that has to do with delusion and it has to do.
Steve Covino
With Cam Jordan Delusion or realistic?
Rich Davis
But before we get to that story, two things. Number one, we were talking about hot TV moms and someone brought up Suzanne Summers, of course, from Step by Step. But if you want to go further back, of course three's Company. Is that where she, in your mind, made her mark?
Danny G
But she was just a mama on that show. Not a. Yeah, she was a hot mama.
Rich Davis
But on Step By Step she was a mom.
Danny G
Yes, she was.
Rich Davis
But I have to play this only because I guarantee most people have never heard it. Kavino and I discovered this years ago, you know, just looking up dumb stuff on social media. Scrolling There was an original theme to Three's Company we all know for the pilot. Yeah, yeah, we all know. Come on, knock on my door Come.
Steve Covino
On, knock on my door We've been waiting for you We've been waiting for.
Rich Davis
You People know that. But the original was an instrumental and it was so 70s. Wah wah wah wah. Just take a listen to the OG pilot theme song to Three's Company.
Steve Covino
That riff is still rocking, though. Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo di Duty to do. Maybe it was just like place filler because they didn't have the words. Yeah, they were like, we have the foundation. We don't have the lyrics yet. But this was on the pilot episode. You could find it on YouTube.
Rich Davis
So anyway, it's just like sitting on.
Steve Covino
The dock of the bay right when Otis Redding's doing the whistle.
Rich Davis
That's a sad. The end of the song. That's a sadder thing, though.
Steve Covino
Nice. He's like, I ran out of lyrics. Yeah, that was just filler. And they're like, yeah, you know what, we're just gonna roll with that.
Rich Davis
No, to play a sound.
Steve Covino
Well, I know the sad part of the story.
Rich Davis
The sad real part of the story.
Steve Covino
Is that it was meant to be lyrics.
Rich Davis
The ending of Otis Redding sitting by the dock of the bay. There's Kavino. So perfectly whistled.
Steve Covino
Thank you, by the way. You are like a. I'm a whistling champion.
Rich Davis
That's a topic for another day. Best song with a whistle in it.
Steve Covino
Patience Guns N Roses or maybe some Billy Joel.
Unknown
Whistling in public. Does it get under your skin? It does mine.
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Rich Davis
I like a little whistle. I'm okay with a whistle.
Unknown
A little whistling in public.
Rich Davis
Someone's whistling like it's the 1940s.
Steve Covino
You mad at someone's good mood? I feel like whistling out a spring Am. I Snap Nick, Lamb pocket. All right, Mickey Mouse.
Rich Davis
So I look at it this way. Whistling is a good mood thing. But that Otis Redding song is a sad story. I did not know this. Sitting by the dock of the bay, which is a classic hit. That guy died way young, and he. He passed away in a tragic plane crash. And that song had not been completed yet. So that whistle was filler until they figured out how to end the song. He dies. They released that song after he had passed away. And they're like, you just keep the whistle in it. I didn't know that. It's a classic part of the song.
Steve Covino
Yeah, it's the best part of the song.
Rich Davis
So you learn something here.
Unknown
Since I joined the Doug Gottlieb show, usually I'm on that show for you guys.
Rich Davis
What did I teach you? College basketball. Blocking. What did he. He doesn't teach you fun facts like this.
Unknown
Well, I close out every.
Rich Davis
Here's how you box someone out, Sam.
Unknown
The final Friday rejoin. I play sitting on the dock of the bay. And I didn't know that with the whistling, see. Cause he's the coach at UW Green Bay.
Rich Davis
I wonder if he knows that.
Steve Covino
Well, I hope I was right then, Sam. Now we're going to do something that we just started a week ago. We're going to bring it here to the Dan Patrick show. Before we get into midweek, Major, we'd like to give you some words of wisdom because we, Covino and Rich sort of lack when it comes to that. We're the worldwide leaders of nonsense.
Rich Davis
I feel like I give good advice, but, I mean, we're talking. We're talking like, words of wisdom. So Mike, who runs this place, who? I mean, I thought he was, like our dad's age. I remember calling him. You look like an old stone cold. He's like, I'm younger than him, and I felt like an ass.
Steve Covino
Right, Right. But Mike is great.
Rich Davis
Since we worked here at Fox Sports Radio, I think a lot of people that listen to us in the afternoon don't realize that Mike is a big part of what we do every day we get here, Me, Camino, Danny G. Spot, the whole crew sits down. And Mike is a big part of our Pre show meetings. And he's become a good friend of the show.
Steve Covino
He's like the Confucius of the show. Kind of.
Rich Davis
I mean, I think he thinks he's the Confucius of the show.
Steve Covino
Yeah. Like, when we brainstorm, he always, like, has some, like, wisdom that he throw in there. And like. Oh, that's a good point, Mike.
Rich Davis
I know, guys. Like, I've always said so.
Steve Covino
Like I've always said so.
Rich Davis
We said, you know what, Mike? Why don't once a week you just drop a nugget of knowledge and you could pass along to the Fox sports radio world. So it's a little something new. Take a listen.
Danny G
It's time for the guy that runs this place. Just for clarification, guys, Big Mike does not run this place. He is not in charge of everything. He has no power over really anybody here. He does not run this place. It's Big Mike's words of wisdom. On a Wednesday?
Steve Covino
Yes.
Rich Davis
If you don't want anyone to be critical of your opinions, stop saying stupid sh.
Steve Covino
Stuff.
Rich Davis
That's his words of wisdom.
Steve Covino
That's good. It's good advice.
Rich Davis
If you don't want people to be critical of your opinions, stop saying stupid stuff.
Steve Covino
Hey, that's a good one.
Danny G
Stop stupid shit.
Rich Davis
That's a good one now.
Danny G
Okay.
Steve Covino
Yeah, he's always sharing wisdom with us. We want to share some with you. And thank you, Mike. Thank you.
Danny G
Now we're passing the torture on to you. You know, we hear these things at the white pre show table meeting. But normally we don't have to share that.
Rich Davis
By the way, let it be known that people of all colors allowed at the table.
Danny G
Oh, for sure. It just happens to be a white table in a blue. In a blue kitchen.
Rich Davis
Brown, by the way. So Mike's words of wisdom.
Danny G
Yeah. So here's the thing. I thought, you know, if we're torturing the audience and they are forced to listen to Big Mike, who doesn't run this place, why not pass a Swiggy on to you? So if you can call in and the guys will give you the number here in a second. If you could call in and repeat Big Mike's words of wisdom word for word, just like that. You win a stainless steel CNR Swiggy.
Steve Covino
But it's got to be word for word.
Danny G
Yes, sir.
Steve Covino
All right, you heard it, now repeat it. We'll take your phone calls at 8.
Danny G
Play it one more time.
Steve Covino
Now, 99 on Fox.
Danny G
That phone number slow.
Steve Covino
99 on Fox.
Danny G
The real numbers, not the letters. No, Covino, give The phone number, but not the letters. Not on Fox.
Steve Covino
877-996-6369.
Danny G
There you go. When people give me the letters, I'm like, I don't know how to dial like that.
Steve Covino
877-996-6369. If you can get it word for word, we'll give away our coveted Swiggy. So shake it out, light them up, and call us now.
Danny G
Here we go. So listen, now, you got to repeat this word for word.
Steve Covino
I don't even think you should. I think you heard it. What is it?
Rich Davis
I agree. I think we really.
Steve Covino
We said it.
Rich Davis
We played it once, and Rich repeated.
Danny G
It, but this is the first time we're doing a giveaway.
Steve Covino
All right, well, we're showing you how it works one last.
Danny G
One last time.
Rich Davis
If you don't want anyone to be.
Steve Covino
Critical of your opinions, stop saying stupid stuff, all right? You can't mess it up, though. Pressure's on, Mike. Thank you, Mike. And now it's time to talk about delusion or realistic or, as the kiddos say, big dreaming, brah. He's the lulu now.
Rich Davis
Cam Jordan, a very likable NFL star. New Orleans Saints was on the NFL Network within the last week. As we all get ready for the NFL draft, we're trying to figure out, you know, what. What. What team is going after a quarterback? Is there any more clarity in New Orleans as far as what they're doing with Derek Carr? You know, as you said yesterday, Danny G. He's busy doing videos on YouTube about electric Bentleys or whatever. He's doing Rolls Royce.
Danny G
Rolls Royce. So a lot of the mock drafts now have the Saints selecting a quarterback with their pick.
Rich Davis
Yeah. So you got to ask yourself, where are the Saints at?
Steve Covino
And my answer, where's your Saints at? At. At.
Rich Davis
Last year, when we did our preseason predictions, and I'm not a big prediction guy. I like gambling like everyone else does. But in the studio, we have our annual little chart, and, you know, we pick super bowl winner, mvp. We all make our fun little predictions to see if anyone at the end of the year is close to being right. Last year, when it came to worst team in the NFL, that was one of the categories. I was quick to be like, saints. And if you remember, they won their first, like, two games. I'm like, oh, damn, look at that. Not too shabby. But then they ended up 5 and 12. 5 and 12.
Danny G
You said the whole time you didn't believe that they were a good team.
Steve Covino
But they weren't the worst. The Patriots were worse. The Raiders were worse, but they were the worst in the NFC South.
Rich Davis
I look at it this way, I thought all along they were the worst, and I feel like I was.
Steve Covino
They were tied for less than the NFC south, to be accurate, because the panthers were also 5 and 12.
Danny G
Yeah. Now, Rich Rattler got in and played, and Saints fans weren't exactly happy with what they saw. So to clarify, there were some mock drafters who already had the Saints, maybe taking Shador Sanders, if he's still on the board. It's going to be really interesting because there's. There are some analysts who think the Saints really need to move up to get one of the top two quarterbacks in this draft.
Rich Davis
Well, it doesn't matter what we think. One of the star, one of the lone star players on the team, one of the only people that I think is a bright spot. Cam Jordan was on the NFL Network, and he said something to the effect of when healthy. And I have to say, when healthy, because that was part of the, that was part of the deeper conversation he had.
Steve Covino
And that's, that's a key point, though.
Rich Davis
He said, quote, I think we have a team when healthy, that's top two in the league. Top two in the league.
Steve Covino
He said winning. He also said that winning the NFC south was attainable. And I think that's a positive outlook. Why not, man?
Rich Davis
Healthy.
Steve Covino
You have to have some sort of belief in your team or else why are you playing?
Rich Davis
When I hear that part of it, that's a little more like, oh, now you're talking. The winning. The NFC south is attainable because, I.
Steve Covino
Mean, the Buccaneers are in your way, but it's not like they're superstars.
Rich Davis
They're not the Eagles. Right.
Steve Covino
They're not The Eagles.
Rich Davis
Buffalo, 10 and 7.
Steve Covino
They're a scrappy, tough team.
Rich Davis
It's not like the Saints are in the AFC north, where everyone's pretty damn good. That's. That is a trash division. So I do think it's attainable.
Steve Covino
Definitely attainables.
Rich Davis
I mean, it's not like Atlanta disappointed a lot of people last year. Tampa and Baker, that's a good team. But, you know, a couple injuries, a couple of things go wrong, that team could easily slide under.500. And the Panthers, you're assuming that is this the year Bryce Young and that team gets it together? So NFC south attainable. Yeah, that's. That's not crazy talk. But when healthy, a top two team. So I ask you, do you like when people are optimistically delusional, or do you rather when people Keep it real.
Steve Covino
See, it's okay to say these things because we haven't seen anything yet.
Rich Davis
Right.
Steve Covino
And he's a veteran player. I think he's just trying to stay positive and show leadership. He even said that I'm going to have to take over on the leadership side. So he's trying to say the right things. And I think that's fine. That's great. You want to have that attitude heading into a season. That's what you want to hear. So I think that is good. I think that's realistic. I think he does believe that. And I think he has to, you know, convince the other young teammates that it is possible, it is attainable, and that's where winning begins. So I do like that. I don't look at it as delusional. I look at it as, yeah, the possibilities there. But when it does bother me is when, like, you know, your team stinks and yet they're still just saying the right things for the headlines, for the press. And you're like, you know, you don't believe that. Like, as a Yankees fan, it often bothers me. Like, my only criticism about Aaron Boone is that he's way positive all the time. It's like, dude, that guy stinks to the high heavens. And you're still defending him, or, that was the worst play ever, and you're still defending your team or on the worst losing sweet streak possible, and you're still trying to find we're close. You're still trying to find that silver lining or positive side of it. Like, sometimes you want to hear the realistic side of it, and they're just still being really positive. But sometimes that's what good leaders do. They're trying to. Trying to keep things positive, trying to give you something to root for. So that's when it rubs me the wrong way. But as far as, like, right now, before the season starts, and when you preface it with when healthy, I don't think they're delusional at all. I think they can take the NFC south when healthy.
Rich Davis
I will say something you said. I don't even think you realize it was smart. You just said it.
Steve Covino
What do you think? You think I don't think before I talk? That's you.
Rich Davis
It's like, you know, sometimes like a clock, a broken clock is still right twice a day.
Steve Covino
You're the broken clock.
Rich Davis
So you said something. I don't think you realized it was smart.
Steve Covino
Sure.
Rich Davis
You said that when no game has been played yet, anyone could really say anything because you're right. It's not like mid season where your team's 20 games on the.500. Like, I think we're great. You're not great.
Steve Covino
In other words, if you're leading into a fight, right. And it's press day, you should have this belief that I'm going to knock this guy out in the third round. This guy's a chump. He's a bum. I'm here to win, man. I had the best camp. I'm here to train. That's the confidence you need and that every athlete should have, and that's why they're professionals. Right. But if he still has the attitude after he got his ass knocked out, after they stopped the fight in the third round, you're like, oh, this guy's delusional.
Rich Davis
Yeah. Listen, if it's.
Steve Covino
Or if it's a decision, he's like, I still won that fight, even though every judge had him losing. Yeah. I don't know. I'm not buying that anymore. You lost, it.
Rich Davis
Went to distance. He lost 11 rounds to one. He's like, yeah, I think I still won that fight.
Steve Covino
Yeah. Having that attitude heading into things, I think that's where you need to be as a competitor.
Rich Davis
I'm glad you said that, because until something happens, we as fans got to be real for a second and say we don't know as much as the personnel, the coaches, and the people actually there. That's why every year when the NFL draft happens, you're going to hear blowhards like Mel Kuiper and these. Is that a vampire or Mel Kuiper?
Steve Covino
Ah, ah, ah. One, two, three, downs. Ah, ah, ah.
Rich Davis
First pick. One, two, three.
Steve Covino
Three picks. Ah, ah, ah. I think it's the count. Yeah.
Rich Davis
When you hear blowhards talking about the NFL draft and they think they got it solved, like, this guy's gonna be a block.
Steve Covino
Mel Kuiper's a blowhard. I think he's like a know it all kind of guy.
Rich Davis
Same thing, though.
Steve Covino
No blowhard. I could say we. We work with a few of them.
Rich Davis
Okay, you're right. I'm sorry. My apologies. Know it all. But then again, that's part of the charm, I guess, right?
Steve Covino
It is.
Rich Davis
But there's guys that act like, here's my draft board. I got it right. And it's like every year, without fail, it's like, good bust, bust, bust. Good bust, bust. Oh, good player. Ooh, late round guy. Wow, that Lamar Jackson slipped that far. But yet, you know, they took Mitch Trubitzky every year. It's no one really knows until a game is played. And I bring that up because as a Mets fan going into the season, I was very excited about the lineup. I'm like, Lindor Soto, Alonzo Vientos, Nimmo. Like, this is the Mets best lineup. Maybe Kavino, hear me out. Maybe ever. It might be the best Mets lineup ever. And I said, you know what? The weakness is starting pitching. And I saw the coaching staff be like, man, the starting pitching is going to be sick. And I'm like, delusional. Meanwhile, the Mets are in first place right now. The lineup's cold as hell, and the Mets have the best team ERA in baseball. So hold on, because I remember thinking, like, well, you're trying to tell me.
Steve Covino
Because you don't know.
Rich Davis
You're trying to tell me.
Steve Covino
No.
Rich Davis
Clay Holmes, Tyler McGill, Peterson, Canning and Senga that that's your elite rotation.
Steve Covino
As a Mets fan, Rich, can I remind you of Jacob deGrom? Because again, people are saying Cam Jordan's delusional to think that they could win the NFC south and that they're going to have a good team. He said when healthy, he believes it. Perhaps he knows some things. He's on the team.
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Steve Covino
Plus he's taking a leadership role We've talked about. I call this the Jacob deGrom theory. We laughed. You laughed as a Mets guy when he said he was leaving the Mets to play for the Rangers because he believed in their winning attitude and winning culture. We're like, the Rangers. We laughed about it like, man, what is he? Is he delusional? Is he just feeding us lines here? But perhaps he knew something that we didn't. In fact, he did. The Rangers, DeGrom and Creed, took that team to a championship and even without.
Rich Davis
Him, because he was hurt.
Steve Covino
But you thought he was delusional when he said it.
Rich Davis
It was a delusional thought that it was like, oh, you know what? Maybe he does know more than we know. So always keep that in mind. So you know what? With that said, I wish Cam Jordan and the Saints all the luck in the world. And it would be pretty funny if that team had a winning record. Did surprise everyone. And Cam Jordan could be like, yeah, I knew it. Because we talked about how injuries could play such a role. Look at my 49ers last year, Cavino. They went from NFC Championship and Super bowl year after year after year. Couple guys get hurt, locker room gets a little discouraged. You know, veterans are aging. Things could change real quick. So we shall see. Good luck to the Saints now. You want to try to get a winner for this game. And then we'll get into midweek major next.
Steve Covino
Exactly. So if you could repeat word for word, Big Mike, who runs this place? Wednesday, words of wisdom. You could win a coveted Swiggy. Who do we got?
Danny G
Danny G. All right, where do you guys want to start? Orlando, Florida. Middletown, Ohio. Torrance, California. Yellow Springs, Ohio. Santa Rosa, California, or Eugene, Oregon.
Rich Davis
You know what? Our pal Guy Fieri lives up in Santa Rosa. Yeah, it's a beautiful area. And I like the name. I believe that's Matthias.
Danny G
No, Matthias.
Rich Davis
Matthias.
Steve Covino
No, no. Matthews. Rich. Let's go with that.
Unknown
Matthias.
Danny G
All right.
Steve Covino
I like the name.
Unknown
Have you never seen that?
Steve Covino
I said Sagel earlier?
Rich Davis
Yeah, he called Katie Seagal Kitty. Yeah, he.
Unknown
So all is forgiven.
Danny G
Samuel L. Johnson. Give us some deep thinking music there. And Matthias, are you ready to try to win a Swiggy?
Steve Covino
Matthias, you gotta get it word for word.
Danny G
Word for word. You gotta copy Big Mike. It is Matthias. And if you don't want people to be critical of your opinion, stop saying stupid stuff. Yeah, Word for word. Got it. Word for word.
Steve Covino
That's how you.
Rich Davis
Matthias.
Danny G
Boom.
Steve Covino
You just won our coveted Swiggy. Stainless steel Midnight black Cavino Enrich on Fox Sports Radio. It's really a nice water bottle for your kid to lose at school and at school. Should we listen back real quick? But yeah, we'll listen back one last time. Something to think about. If you don't want anyone to be critical of your opinions, stop saying stupid stuff.
Rich Davis
Yeah. You know, there's a lot of people.
Steve Covino
A lot of people in the sports.
Rich Davis
Media world that should listen to Big Mike's advice. A lot of people say dumb stuff.
Steve Covino
Great job.
Danny G
Torture. On to you, Matthias. Congrats. We're going to mail out a Swiggy to Santa Rosa.
Steve Covino

You know, I thought with three hours I'd get like double the time, but I guess not. All right, thanks. The Paige Beckers effect already taking shape in Dallas. The WNBA number one draft pick drafted to the Wings earlier this week and ticket sales and prices have already seen a major spike. Beckers, who helped her UConn Huskies win the 2025 NCAA championship has been getting a lot of attention on the court of opposition, obviously. So the ticketing site psychic said that sales on their site are up 11 times with a 905% increase in traffic. And if you want to have that for comparison, they're saying that when Caitlin Clark was announced that it was going to she was going to be going to the Fever, that there was only a 60% increase in traffic for that. So huge increase to the for Dallas. And if you're curious, the average ticket price between Beckers and Clark, their first face off is around $500 right now. So midweek or major?
Steve Covino
I do think it's major, but I do think that is the Caitlin Clark aftermath is the Caitlin Clark effect. Not to take away from Paige Beckers. Congratulations to the Yukon Huskies and props to the Dallas Wings. Spotty likes wings. Don't you like Spotty? I love wings. Don't you like them? And it's cool to see that increase but I do think it's carryover from last year's hype and we're sort of prisoners of the moment. Will this sustain it? Depends how great she is.
Rich Davis
It would be way cooler if they actually were the Dallas Wings and it was like Buffalo wings.
Steve Covino
Yeah.
Rich Davis
Lemon pepper please. Listen, this is major.
Steve Covino
Definitely major.
Rich Davis
Paige Becker's is fantastic and I have to be the real one in the room here though. I can't, I can't allow all the cheerleading to go on without saying that numbers and statistics are meant to be. You know you can manipulate numbers. When ticket sales go up 11 times that means maybe last year they sold 200 tickets, now they sold 2200 tickets. So let's, let's keep it real. No one's in love with the WNBA to the point where it's NBA level or anything substantial. Caitlin Clark has. Caitlin Clark has the effect.
Steve Covino
But you're, let's wait and see on this. On the right track here the world.
Rich Davis
David, definitely on the right track. But when you say something like up 905%, I mean you got to think of where the starting point is. And I compare it to salaries. If someone's making jack diddly squat and it's like hey, you get a 10% raise. A 10% raise of nothing is not that much jack squat ever do to you. I know but hey, I wish them well.
Danny G
All right.
Unknown
Over to the NBA. So Luka has officially dethroned LeBron James and Steph Curry when it comes to jersey sales, becoming the highest selling NBA jersey since the February 6th trade deadline. Sales on NBAStore.com up 21 compared to last year. And that's primarily driven by Lucas trade to the Lakers, Steph Curry coming in at 2, LeBron at 3, Jason Tatum at 4 and Jalen Brunson at 5. And this is the first time that one of the top player Jersey hasn't been LeBron or Steph since the 2012, 2020, 2013 season.
Danny G
Wow.
Steve Covino
So midweek or major? Major. This is very major.
Rich Davis
10 year record broken.
Steve Covino
I think this is a clear example of turning dilemmas into deliminade. Poor guy gets dissed over to the Lakers. He didn't want to go, but look, he's making the best of it. It's not the Lakers suck or anything like that, but he was happy and had unfinished business in Dallas. Now the fans are behind him and he's the number one selling jersey in a league full of superstars at the NBA. If you're beating out LeBron and Curry and Tatum and all these dudes, I think you're doing something right. Props to him.
Rich Davis
I. I think it's major. Definitely major.
Unknown
Okay.
Rich Davis
Biggest trade in NBA history. I mean, we were in Vegas when it happened. I remember everyone in the casinos ad like it was a big deal. And listen, you can take one of the biggest stars, put them on the Los Angeles Lakers. This doesn't surprise me. I just got to ask if the Lakers somehow found a way to win the NBA title this year and Luka got there last year with the Mavs and fell just short. Is. Is. Is Luka's legacy on a different level like that? That's my biggest.
Steve Covino
I also think that some of these sales are coming from Dallas fans who are tired of Nico want him fired and they still support Luka, as we saw recently at his homecoming. I think they're choosing to root for the player, not the team. But still in support of Luca. Man, jerseys are selling.
Rich Davis
Can I call out our co worker Rob Parker? Wasn't it Rob Parker on the Odd Couple that said he's impossible to root for?
Steve Covino
That was Mad Dog.
Rich Davis
I thought it was Rob Parker too.
Steve Covino
He may have. I mean a lot of people then you know what?
Rich Davis
Impossible to root for. Are you sure about that?
Steve Covino
Oh, he's. Yeah, sorry. He's got crocodile tears.
Rich Davis
Oh, that's right. I'm sorry. Rob said. Rob said that he was crying. You know, fake crying.
Steve Covino
But anyway, whoever said that, it's doo doo.
Rich Davis
Whoever says Luke is hard to root for. Jersey sales will say something different.
Unknown
Oh, back to me. Okay, thanks. I know you guys are huge fans of like the world being baseball Classic. Love baseball. Yeah. Well, it was announced that as the Olympics return stateside, that baseball will be making a return to the Olympics in when they come to the US and right here in LA for the 2028 Summer Olympics. And of course games will be held at the iconic Dodger Stadium. The Olympic committee announced it yesterday on their social. They couldn't be More excited for the stadium to host the Games in 2028 and at the iconic ballpark of Dodger Stadium. So baseball little hit behind the history of baseball in the Olympics. Was started in 1900 as a demonstration. Became an official Olympic sport in 1992 in Barcelona, but was discontinued in 2008. Made a quick appearance in 2020 in Tokyo, but was off the roster. So now they're bringing it back because obviously baseball. Huge.
Rich Davis
Baseball's hot right now.
Steve Covino
Major, major.
Unknown
Another major story.
Steve Covino
Good stories. Because, look, I'm a huge baseball fan and you're putting baseball on a world stage. Baseball is an international sport more than ever. So I love that. And, you know, I don't want to brush over the WBC to the World Baseball Classic 2026. Aaron Judge is the captain. He's the one. But you bring it to 2028 now with the Olympics at Dodger Stadium. You have all these international fans experiencing the beautiful Dodger Stadium. It's a great stadium. I think we're going to see some highly competitive international baseball. Super fired up for it, man. I think that's great.
Rich Davis
I, I, you know, I agree. Everything is said. I don't need to repeat it, but I find it funny. Have you guys all seen the the morons on social media when Aaron Judge was announced the captain of the 2026 team, and people, like, see, he's better than Ohtani. He was named captain and people like, you know, Ohtani is on team Japan.
Steve Covino
Well, Trout was the previous one, but, yeah, Back to spot story. The Olympics. It's kind of cool, too, because when we were kids growing up rich, which was what was one of the most coveted baseball cards.
Rich Davis
Do you Remember the Mark McGuire USA card?
Steve Covino
There you go. So we're gonna have all that fun, too. Like, yo, kids are gonna run wild with that.
Rich Davis
One last question. We saw Shohei Ohtani, star. I'm sorry, Shohei Ohtani.
Unknown
Shohei Ohtani, honey.
Rich Davis
We've seen his star rise quite a bit. Kavino, in the last year or so.
Steve Covino
Right?
Rich Davis
Like, I mean, he was in, he was in baseball. He was down in Anaheim with the Angels, but he wasn't the star he is now. Do you think the very beginning of Next level Star was when he struck out Mike Trout to end the World Baseball Classic?
Steve Covino
Didn't hurt, man.
Rich Davis
Was that, like, step one in? Super, super duper star.
Steve Covino
That was big.
Rich Davis
Yeah.
Steve Covino
Oh, Danny, I love, I love baseball on big stages like this. So major spot. All right.
Unknown
Got to sneak in a draft story since it's coming up next week. University of Miami QB Cam Ward expected to be one of the top, if not the first name, called in next week's NFL draft and may have dropped some hints as to where he's already headed. The 22 year old was doing a Fortnite video game live stream. I know you love those. And was asked about his top NFL running backs responding with two stars from the Tennessee Titans. He was then asked about his favorite receivers responding with two stars from the Tennessee Titans. So the Titans do have the first pick. Ward has already met with the team, so there has been been speculation, but it seems like he's going to be playing in Nashville next year.
Steve Covino
Midweek or major? Definitely major. Cam Ward, 22 year old superstar throwing hints, dropping hints. By the way, I think it's major for another reason. I feel like this is part of another trend that might be growing because where do a lot of young kids get their music from? Video games. Now we're dropping sports headlines via video game feeds on fortnight, right? That's where you get your scoop. That's crazy.
Rich Davis
I think it's major. It's pretty clear he's going to the Titans.
Steve Covino
Yeah, but he gave some info out there. But I some live video games.
Rich Davis
What I do love about it though is how, you know, how blatant he was. Like, what was the next question like, hey, where's the best place to party? And he's like, probably Broadway in Nashville. Like, you know, it's going to be a fun thing for that city because that's. That town is fantastic. And they're thirsting. They're like Thurston Howell iii. They're thirsting for some good quarterback action. So let's see what Cam Ward does.
Steve Covino
Hey, Cam Ward, what's your favorite Arrested Development song? Tennessee, Tennessee. Tennessee, Tennessee.
Unknown
All right, Rich, do you want a Jackson Mahomes story or do you want to hear about a fun, cute gender reveal?
Rich Davis
Gender reveals, because I like and Camino hate Poison.
Unknown
Okay, well, I don't know if you saw this, but Bryce Harper, they both stink spot.
Steve Covino
Can. Can that be my answer?
Unknown
You want to hear about QR codes on baseballs? I also got that.
Rich Davis
No.
Unknown
Okay. Bryce Harper able to share a special moment during Monday night's game as the Phillies took on the Giants at home. He and his wife expecting another child, his wife, Kayla. They already have three children. So during a team meeting, he revealed that his wife is expecting and enlisted the help of teammate Trey Turner to help with the gender reveal. So Harper had two custom bats made by the same company that makes the torpedo bats. Victus sports. One pink, one blue. And he handed it over to Turner. And so, like, in the dugout, you saw him, like, playing with the bats, like, handing him the pink one, then handed him the blue one, handed the pink one, eventually handed him the blue one. He walked out to take his at bat, struck out, but showed that he was having a boy. Phillies also went on to. Which also sucks, but still, it was a special moment. Midweek or major.
Steve Covino
Should be major, but I'm going mid.
Unknown
Oh, come on.
Steve Covino
First of all, gender reveals are corny, but this one's kind of creative and kind of cute.
Rich Davis
What do you hate about it? You're a buzzkill.
Steve Covino
Because they're a big. Look at me and watch me while I light something on fire and cause destruction. That's true. There's so many stories where it's gone wrong.
Rich Davis
Once the blue moon, there's 80 gets to go overboard, and you hate it. This is amazing.
Steve Covino
Yeah, this is a really nice one. I like it. But if you're gonna bust out the blue bat and everyone's watching you in that moment, you gotta make some contact. You gotta get a hit in that moment. If you would have told me. Yeah. And he drove a double into the gap or. Oh, man, he hit a bomb. He is the bomb. That would have made the story so much cooler. So I'm happy for Bryce Harper. I think he's a true rock star. The game. He's a superstar. I'm happy for his family, but the fact that he struck out with the blue bat makes it less of a story.
Rich Davis
Covino, Captain Buzzkill, Captain Underpants. I think it's great that I think it's major. I love Bryce Harper. As a Mets fan, it pains me to say that I think he's one of my favorite players in the game.
Steve Covino
He's so good for baseball.
Rich Davis
And congratulations to him and his wife. And I think gender reveals are fun, unless you just don't burn anything down or hurt anyone. Otherwise, just fun times. People celebrating great moments in their life. How could you hate on that?
Unknown
Yeah. Also, Jackson Mahome has a girlfriend. Just so you know, he likes girls.
Steve Covino
Get out of here.
