Sonya is an oral health educator on a mission to reduce the health risks diseases and morbidity among seniors due to poor oral health. She has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 30 years, TEDx, and national public speaker. Her passion for the Geriatric community is always demonstrated when she speaks — guided by decades of dental experience in private practice, skilled nursing facilities, and academia. Sonya and her husband, Gerald Dunbar, are the owners of Mobile Dental Xpress that provides comprehensive dental care to qualified nursing home residents. Sonya is a U.S. Navy Veteran and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Gerontology. Sonya is the C.E.O. of The Geriatric ToothFairy, Co-Founder of the National Mobile Dentistry Conference, Vice President of Mobile Dental Xpress, and a published author of Golden Nuggets For Life, Co-author of The Tooth and Nothing but the Truth and Modern Mobile and Teledentistry.
