What's up everyone? And welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. One of the things about Jeffrey Epstein and the company that he kept is that a lot of those people resided in ivory towers. They're the kind of people that will tell the rest of us how to live our lives. What we should do, where we should go, what we should eat, what kind of music to listen to, what shows to watch. And that's during the day. But at night, when their mask slips, that's when the bacchanal of debauchery begins. And in this episode, we're going to focus on Jeffrey Epstein and his relationship with Deepak Chopra. And to do that, we have an article from Salon. Headline, deepak Chopra, Jeffrey Epstein and those Cute Girl Emails. This article was authored by Nicole Carlis. In July 2016, that bestselling author and wellness guru. What the does that even mean? Wellness guru Deepak Chopra contacted Jeffrey Epstein, the wealthy financier and convicted sex offender, to thank him for his hospitality. By email, Chopra wrote that he was glad that the philanthropist Barnaby Marsh had introduced them in person. Chopra added that he was grateful for what he saw as the beginning of a friendship after Epstein was already convicted. Mind you, this dude's out here, John, about how great of a time he's having with the diddler himself. Within a few weeks, this new friendship deepened. They exchanged gossipy emails about Epstein's friendship with Donald Trump and Marla Maples, Trump's second wife. Epstein recounted a story about losing a ten thousand dollar bet to Trump and about a friend of Naples who was rumored to have used high heel shoes as sex toys. What the fuck? High heel shoes? Like, not for nothing, a dildo doesn't do the trick. Not to get too far off subject here, but I've never understood this. You see these stories of people that go to like the emergency room with a mayonnaise jar up their ass. Buddy, what are you doing? Go to the sex store and get yourself the proper object. Chopra responded, nothing human is foreign to me. Attributing that to a Roman poet whose name I forget. Paraphrased slightly, the quotation is actually from the Roman playwright Terence. Anything we share is between us, Chopra wrote to Epstein later that same July. I share nothing with anyone but trust you. Imagine trusting Jeffrey Epstein. Buddy, don't you have the Internet? You, Deepak Chopra, wherever you live, whatever cave you're dwelling in, whatever billion dollar mansion you live in, whatever it might be, you guys don't have the news there. Because everybody knew at that point that Jeffrey Epstein was a sick degenerate. And anybody still spending time with him, well, I have to question you as a fellow traveler. Amid the three and a half million Epstein files so far released by the Department of Justice, Chopra's name appears more than 3,300 times. Since duplicate messages frequently recur in different places in the Epstein files, the actual number of messages between Chopra and Epstein is somewhat less than that. What the numerous emails and texts between the two men suggest is an intimate and affectionate relationship that went beyond the business or financial connection. And that was Epstein. Him and all his little buddies. All these so called elites breaking bread, enjoying his largesse and some of them enjoying a whole lot more. Guess who wasn't enjoying themselves though. That's right, the survivors. While they came from very different backgrounds and professional trajectories. Epstein from the world of high finance and Chopra from New age philosophy, spirituality and medicine. The two seem to enjoy discussing the nature of consciousness and other obtruse topics. They shared an unexplained inside joke referring multiple times to the tiger. Their exchanges suggest that Chopra visited Epstein's homes in New York and Palm beach, locations where some of Epstein's abuse or apparent criminal acts took place. There is no evidence that Chopra was was aware of Epstein's criminal abuses. But on at least five occasions, as documented in the FBI files, Chopra mentioned Epstein's girls and apparent reference to young women who frequently accompanied Epstein. How Chopra perceived or understood these women's relationship to Epstein is not clear. Oh well, he'll tell you he had no idea there were just girls that were around Jeffrey Epstein because you know, Epstein was such a Casanova, such a hunk. I'm sure that all the women out there listening to the podcast would just love to have a guy like Epstein. I mean, don't women love earlobes that run all the way down somebody's head like a sideburn? Almost everyone reading this has already heard of Chopra, who is one of the biggest names in the new age movement and the wellness space. Some might argue he's America's top well being expert. The 79 year old physician and bestselling author has published more than 90 books. Frequently described as a guru, Chopra has served as a spiritual advisor to some of the biggest celebrities in the world, including Elizabeth Taylor and Michael Jackson. What? No R. Kelly? No. Diddy? Chopra taught Jackson meditation at Neverland. The late singer is California home where Jackson was alleged to have sexually abused and at least two young boys. There is no evidence that Chopra observed any impropriety during his friendship with Jackson. I know people have a lot of heated opinions about Michael Jackson one way or the other, but I don't know enough about the case to give you an opinion. I have no idea. But the allegations that were made are concerning Oprah Winfrey. One of Chopra's earliest champions and business partners gave him a huge boost with TV appearances in the early 90s. In 2021, Chopra and Winfrey launched a meditation course together. Chopra's website says he's on a mission to create a more balanced, peaceful, joyful, and healthier world. Imagine spitting that bullshit after hanging out with Epstein, being Epstein's buddy. Yeah, you want to make a healthier world. What you mean by that is a world that's easier for you to abuse, right? Is that what you mean? His teachings, Chopra has said, aim to guide people to embrace their strength and potential for both personal and societal growth. Well, it didn't seem to work on Epstein, did it? And let me just be very clear. Spiritual guides, gurus, all these people, life coaches, fugazi frauds, snake oil salesmen. And in my opinion, Chopra is certainly one of them. There is nothing in the Epstein files to suggest that Chopra was involved in Epstein sex crimes or knew about them. But for many observers, the embarrassing details of their friendship raise larger questions that have less to do with Chopra than with the nature of the New Age wellness industry as a whole. To the extent that New Age spirituality is built on liberating the self from all constraints, as well as spreading universal love and positive vibrations, critics suggest it may have helped create an environment where abusers like, like Epstein can thrive. Yo, I don't know anything about the spiritual movement, so everything I talk about will be surface level. I'm not going to sit here and make pretend I know about chakras and, you know, retrograde Venus or whatever the people talk about. I have no idea. I'm just some dumbass from the South Bronx. A few months after their friendship began, in a November 2016 email included in the FBI files, Epstein sent Chopra a link to a Daily Mail article about a troubled woman who claimed that she had been assaulted by Donald Trump when she was 13 years old at a party hosted by Epstein. The article reported that those allegations had not been substantiated and that the woman's lawsuit against Trump was dismissed. Did she ever drop civil case against you? Chopra asked. Epstein responded with one word, Yup. Chopra, good. Yo, I have to tell you, there is zero chance in the world I'd be associating with somebody like Jeffrey Epstein, hanging out with diddlers Goes against my moral code. You know, everybody has their own private code, right? Well, mine does not include associating with anyone who diddles people. And that's the end of it. No exceptions, no excuses. Over the following year, the two continued to exchange greetings, ideas and invitations. In February 2017, Chopra invited Epstein by email to attend a course the following month called Journey into Healing. Chopra added that he would also be leading a week long retreat that June at a Canadian resort. He wrote Banth, presumably meaning Banff, Alberta and said the girls might enjoy it, whatever that means. What the hell does that mean? And look, I don't want to come off as some prude. I'm not. I don't care what you do in your life. I don't care what anyone does as long as everybody involved is consenting. And as long as that occurs, it is not my business. I have a funny feeling some of these girls, if not all of them, were not consenting. In another email a few days after that one, Chopra invited Epstein to come to Israel with us to relax and have fun with interesting people. He suggested that Epstein might use a fake name and bring your girls. In April, Chopra emailed Epstein while on his way from Los Angeles to Saudi Arabia describing a female friend as V sweet like your girls, adding an emoji with hearts fries. In November 2017, he extended another invitation to Epstein and his girls, adding a prayer hands emoji, suggesting that they attend Chopra's workshop in Switzerland. Oh, that's going to launch people into orbit. The Israel story here. Oh, people are going to run with that. What are they going to Israel for? And look, good question. What are they going to Israel for? In early of February 2026, after the large scale release of most of the FBI's material on Epstein, Chopra released a statement on X denying involvement in any criminal or exploitative conduct during his friendship with Epstein. He described his contact with the convicted sex trafficker as limited and unrelated to any abusive activity. What are these emails about? Girls. I guess you were just talking, you know, guy stuff, right? Well, it would be one thing if you were sending these emails to somebody who wasn't a convicted sex offender. Whole different story when you send them to Epstein. In July of 2018, a text message exchange. Chopra suggested that Epstein might enjoy meeting his son in law, a venture capitalist, but added in parentheses, can't talk about girls. It seems like in every single email it's about girls. Girls this, girls that. Everything's about girls. By the time Chopra and Epstein first met, Epstein was a registered sex offender. Who had been convicted in 2008 on two counts of soliciting a minor for prostitution and had served a brief sentence in Palm Beach County Jail. The full extent of Epstein's apparent sex trafficking network did not become clear until his indictment on a broader range of criminal charges in 2019 and his subsequent death in a Manhattan jail cell. That is always the excuse, right? We had no idea what he was, but it's okay that he's soliciting minors. That didn't give you a hint of the kind of disgusting piece of he was. Okay, I guess. Chopra said in his February statement that he was now focused on supporting accountability, prevention, and efforts that protect and support survivors. It wasn't the first time he had spoken about his relationship with with Epstein. After details emerged about Epstein's calendar in 2019, which recorded at least a dozen meetings between the two in 2016, 17 and 19, Chopra told CBS News in an October 2025 statement that their appointments had mostly concerned Epstein's sleep problems. Oh yeah, sleep problems. And the girls. Let's not forget the girls. After meeting, he shared he suffered from insomnia and expressed interest in learning meditation, which I taught him. Our meetings focused solely on practicing meditation, lasted about 30 minutes each, Chopra said in the statement. Guy's an absolute liar and the emails back it up. See, all these people that are out here running around telling falsehoods are all being outed by their own emails. Salon has tried to contact Chopra several times through the public relations firm that represents him, but has not received a response. Very little of the communication between Chopra and Epstein, based on the evidence in the released FBI files, was about sleep. Well, no shit, huh? He lied. I am shocked. Nobody has ever lied to us about Epstein. Ever. In November of 2016, Chopra told Epstein by email that sleep is consciousness and its default mode. That appears to be the only time the subject was directly mentioned in the publicly available email and text exchanges between the two, Although the FBI files provide no information about what they might have discussed in person. Well, how would they know that? Seems a bit weird, right? Like the emails. That's evidence. We can read the emails for ourselves. We don't know what people were saying and and private conversations. In their documented messages, Chopra and Epstein were far more likely to discuss the nature of reality and consciousness topics Chopra has written about for many years. Alright folks, we're gonna wrap up the first episode here and in the next episode we're gonna pick up where we left off. Host: Bobby Capucci
This episode dives deeply into the recently uncovered communications between wellness celebrity Deepak Chopra and Jeffrey Epstein, focusing on what these emails reveal about the complicity, hypocrisy, and lack of accountability among so-called “wellness world” elites. Through analysis of a detailed Salon article by Nicole Carlis and recently released FBI files, host Bobby Capucci explores how Chopra’s friendship with Epstein fits into broader questions about moral responsibility among affluent spiritual leaders and the lingering culture of willful ignorance around Epstein’s crimes. The conversation also raises pointed, sometimes raw questions about the nature of the New Age movement, guru culture, and the failure of high-profile figures to take a stand against obvious wrongdoing.
Bobby Capucci maintains a raw, incredulous, and at times caustic style—delivering harsh criticism of hypocrisy and the lack of moral backbone among spiritual and wellness elites. The tone is informal, direct, and combative, repeatedly calling out “fugazi frauds” and “snake oil salesmen,” while emphasizing the real-world harm ignored by the powerful.
This episode uses the revelations about Deepak Chopra’s emails with Jeffrey Epstein as a lens through which to scrutinize the broader culture of impunity and self-serving rationalizations among wellness celebrities and the elite. While stopping short of accusing Chopra of direct criminality, Capucci lambasts the ease with which public figures rationalize or ignore abusers in their midst—and calls for a total reevaluation of who deserves the public’s trust.
