everyone and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode we're going to pick up where we left off with Doug Band and his interview with Congress. Mr. Do you recall this email thread? No, I do not. If I could start at the bottom with the first one. It's an email from Ms. Maxwell to you. The subject line reads Boo. Boo. One word and the text reads, I'm here in New York, would love to get together. Je did not leave for Paris, so he's here too and he wants to see you solo. So popular you are. Let me know. Looking at this email now, do you have any understanding or recollection as to why Mr. Epstein wanted to see you solo? Not that I recall. Question. And then I'm gonna skip up two emails. It's email from Ms. Maxwell to you at 1056 18. Do you see that one? Uhuh. Yes. Question the body reads I have no plans today at all, so I'm free whenever you are. Should be here most of the week. The thought of seeing you is getting me way way excited. And then you reply up above. Wow, can't do today in Ca Chapp baby cakes. My question on this exchange is simply you refer during the majority round to the use of what you described, I believe as flirtatious banter with Ms. Maxwell. Answer huh? Question Is this an example of that sort of banter? Answer well, I don't remember this email or. Or recall it in any way. But yeah, as I said earlier, our emails were flirtatious banter, nothing more. Me making my way of communicating in sort of a silly, not funny jokes that obviously not ones I expected to be read publicly before Congress 25 years later or 22 years later. Nothing further on this exhibit. I will ask the court reporter to mark as Exhibit E what we understand to be a log of flights on Jeffrey Epstein's private plane. That's not the right one. After they get the right one. Mr. Band, have you ever seen this document before Mr. Shapiro jumps in other than in preparation with your counsel? You mean redacted either Mr. Band, I have only seen it as Howard said in preparation. Question if I could refer you 10 lines down the date the number 14 appears in the first column. Do you see that entry yes. Question. Okay. And the arrival destination is noted as cyul, which I'll represent to you is the airport code for Montreal. And then further down under the column for remarks, the letters JE appear, followed by your name, comma, then GM do you recall flying to Montreal with Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell? I do not recall, no. Question. Do you recall being in Montreal with them? I don't recall being in Montreal with them, no. Any reason to believe that this entry is inaccurate? As to the passengers? I don't have any reason to believe that it's accurate or inaccurate. I didn't write it, so I don't know. And if I could refer you one line down, also starting with the number 14, it records a flight from Montreal to PBI, which is the airport code for Palm Beach. Again, the passengers are listed as JE Yourself and GM do you recall flying to Montreal or from Montreal to Palm beach with Epstein and Maxwell? No, I do not. Do you recall being in Palm beach with them? No, I do not recall being in Palm beach with them or flying with them. No further questions on this document. I'm going to ask the court reporter to mark as exhibit F another email thread between yourself and Ms. Maxwell, dated October 13, 2004, bearing the Bates number EFTA 00579276. Mr. Shapiro, could we possibly get one more over here? Question, Mr. Band, have you seen this email thread before? I don't recall this email, but I've seen it. In preparation for today, I'm focused on the second email from the bottom from Ms. Maxwell to you. 1648, 29. And the body reads. Okay. Hey, is Marcy going to be working with Richard on the deal? Does she know about the forum, etc. If so, what does she know? Can you give us some context here? What deal is Ms. Maxwell referring to? I don't know. Who is Marci? I don't know that either. I don't know who that is, who she's referring to. Did you, generally speaking, have any discussions with Ms. Maxwell concerning business matters? You know, I think I recall times a of talking about various projects and things like that that she was working on or I was. I mean, I was working for the President at the time, but I vaguely recall having conversations with her about various things that she was working on, but not anything specific that I can recall. Question what were those projects? Answer, I don't remember any project in particular. Question Were there more than one? Answer, I don't remember. Question A. Mr. Band, for the record, I believe we spoke about this earlier. Do you Recall ever attending Jeffrey Epstein's home in New York City without President Clinton? Ban. No, I do not question. Any other scratch that Mr. Green jumps in other than the dinner that he's already talked about? Ban. The dinner? Yeah. You said without. Sorry. You said without President Clinton. Oh, the dinner, yeah. Sorry. The dinner, yeah. I'm sorry. Can you remind me of the date of that dinner? Answer. I have no idea. I don't remember when it was at all. It was the dinner that you referred to in the past document, so that probably is a better reflection of the date. 2003. April 2003. Question. Understood. That was Exhibit C, Mr. Shapiro. Exhibit C. Yes. Redacted. Great. Thank you. And just to be clear, you have no recollection of attending Jeffrey Epstein's properties beyond the one mentioned in Exhibit C without President Clinton? Band. I did not, as far as I know, or have any recollection of attending any of his properties ever, other than, as I said, the two times I recall going to his house in New York. Question, Mr. Band, did Jeffrey Epstein or Glenn Maxwell ever give you a watch? I don't remember them giving me anything. I don't recall. Question. Do you recall that being discussed? I don't. I don't recall. I'll ask the court reporter to mark as Exhibit G an article from dropsite news dated December 19, 2025. Questioned. Take all the time you need to review the article in its entirety. I'm going to be focused on the eighth page. Unfortunately, it's not numbered. Redacted. Page 13, I believe. Banned. 13 on the bottom right. Mr. Green. 13 of 22. Shapiro. 13 of 22. Redacted. That's right. Page 12 has an email exchange. We'll be reviewing that. And. And it reads at the top, have him tell her. Do you see that, Mr. Band? Yes. Redacted. That's what we'll be referencing. Band. Okay. Question. I'm sorry, Mr. Band. I think my page number is different. So they get down to the bottom of it. Question. And it contains a copy of an email thread between, once again, yourself and Ms. Maxwell, dated December 14th of 2005. Answer. Okay. Question. Do you recall this email thread? Answer. I do not. Question. If we can just walk through it, I'm looking at the first email on the bottom from Ms. Maxwell to you, which reads, any news on Audemars Watch? Do you ever recall asking or discussing an audemars watch with Ms. Maxwell? Answer. I do not recall discussing that with her. Question. And then your reply up above. More concerned about lunch. Why do you Ask. If it's for you. I'll tell you. If it's because he wants me to buy me one, then no can do. Do you recall what you meant when you wrote that sentence? Answer. I'm sorry, I don't. I don't recall what I meant. I mean, you know, sitting here today, it seems clear. If it's because he wants to buy me one, then, no, I don't. This is, you know, it sounds out of the ordinary. President Clinton traveled all over the world. People gave him all sorts of things. People gave me all sorts of things all the time. Question. Do you recall receiving any gifts from Glenn Maxwell or Jeffrey Epstein Band? I don't recall receiving any gifts from them. Question. And I believe we have some questions from our members. So I'll turn it over to Mr. Lynch. Mr. Lynch? I'll pass. Mr. Submaranium. Great. Thanks for being here today, Ben. Thank you. Thanks for. Thank for you for being here. Question. Have you ever met Virginia Roberts, Mr. Band? Not that I can recall. Question. Do you know who she is? Answer. Only in reading about her and you know, the reports over the past few years, are you aware of the lawsuit she filed against Ghislaine Maxwell? Answer. You know, again, I don't. Vaguely. Just from reading about it. Question. Okay. Are you aware you were listed as a potential witness in that lawsuit, Mr. Band? No. Question. Okay. Do you. Would you know why you might be listed as a potential witness, Mr. Band? I have no idea. Question. Okay. I think she says you were present on flights with Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell, and. And President Clinton. You may have knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell sex trafficking during those interactions with minors. What would you say to that? Or what are your thoughts on her saying that, Mr. Band? Sorry, who is her? Question. Maxwell. Answer that I'm on her witness. That I would be a witness for her. Question. For her lawsuit. Yeah. Answer for the woman's lawsuit, Mr. Green. I'm sorry, do you mind repeating the question again, Mr. Band? I'm confused. Yeah. Sorry. Submaranium. Oh, yeah. Ghislaine Maxwell Band. She's filing a lawsuit. Submaranium. So she's deceased now. This was 10 years ago that she filed the lawsuit. Green. Yeah. Ms. Roberts filed a lawsuit against Ms. Maxwell Shapiro. Not Ghislaine Maxwell, Ms. Roberts Submaranian. I'm sorry. Yeah. Well. And in the deposition, Alan Dershowitz said that you and he discussed the allegations that were in that lawsuit filed by Virginia. Is that true, Mr. Band? I don't recall. I don't Recall having any conversation with Alan Dershowitz? Question oh, okay. Did you ever talk to Alan Dershowitz about Jeffrey Epstein or Glenn Maxwell? Band no, not that I recall. I don't know him very well. He was part of the President Clinton sort of vineyard friend group and when he was president, so I met with him there. Question did you ever talk about President Clinton to Jeffrey Epstein and Glenn Maxwell Banned about them? I don't recall any specific conversations about it, no. Question. Okay. And in an email exchange between you and Ghislaine Maxwell, she invited you to dinner with people named Lily, quote, unquote, your bro and Andrew. Do you recall what dinner that was? Banned I do not. Submaranium do you know who Lily might be? Banned My wife's name. Lily. Okay. Do you know who your bro might be? Band I don't. Question do you know who Andrew might be? Banned I don't. Submaranium could it possibly be Andrew Mountbatten Windsor? I didn't write it. I don't know. Yeah. Do you know who I mean? Have you ever met Andrew Mountbatten Windsor? I have a vague recollection of meeting him. He was friends with President Clinton and President Clinton visited Buckingham Palace a few times when he was president, and I recall seeing him around, but nothing specifically. I just have a memory of meeting him, but I don't know when or where. Submaranium okay. Glenn Maxwell also sent you an email with Tom Barack's information. Do you recall remembering why you asked for this information or if you asked for this information? Banned I don't recall the email or asking for it. Submaranium okay, I think that's all I have. All right, folks, we're going to wrap up right here and in the next episode, we're going to pick up where we left off. Host: Bobby Capucci
This episode continues Bobby Capucci’s detailed, play-by-play analysis of Doug Band’s congressional testimony concerning his connections to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. With the transcript as the basis, Capucci highlights Band’s recollections—or lack thereof—about specific emails, his personal and professional interactions with key figures, and the thorough questioning by congressional staff. This is part seven in a series breaking down Band's lengthy deposition, focusing on the credibility of his statements, the details of his relationship with Epstein’s circle, and new insights from recently disclosed communications.
Bobby Capucci maintains a direct, investigative tone, emphasizing documentation, accountability, and clarity. The discussion is methodical, with close readings of each question/answer pair, and a persistent skepticism about the “foggy memory” defense seen in Doug Band’s testimony.
The episode offers a granular look at Doug Band’s selective recollections (or denials) during congressional questioning about Epstein, highlighting the cautious language used to create distance between himself and controversial events or persons. Capucci’s analysis draws attention to the gaps and ambiguities left unaddressed by Band, setting the stage for further deep-dives into the Epstein network.
