What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to pick up where we left off with the CNN article about the roadblocks slowing down a reckoning when it comes to Epstein in the United States. And this article was authored by Stephen Collinson. It was another stunning day of fallout in the Epstein saga. On Monday, Maxwell was piped in from her detention facility in Texas to provide testimony to a House committee investigating the scandal. But she invoked the Fifth Amendment to avoid self incrimination, as is her constitutional right. Look, there's no doubt that she has a right to plead the Fifth, and honestly, she's smart to do so. Does anyone really think that anything she says is not going to incriminate her as well? And remember, Ghislaine Maxwell is already cooked as far as witnesses go because of her perjury. She's a known liar. And when you're a known liar, well folks, I know it's breaking news, but people don't believe you, especially juries. And that's why there was never any chance whatsoever that Clayne Maxwell was ever going to offer anything up as far as that deposition. Her goal is to get out of prison, not add more time. But her lawyer made a stunning proposal. Ms. Maxwell's prepared to speak fully and honestly if granted clemency by President Trump, attorney David Oscar Marcus said in a statement during the deposition, which he later posted on X. Yo, that is just crazy. So we're just gonna put it out there for everybody to see that we got some quid pro quo going on. Is that what led to Ghislaine Maxwell being given those cushy ass circumstances in the first place? Yo, I got questions and unfortunately all the answers that are coming back to me are not valid. There is no excuse for anything like this to even take place. Ghislaine Maxwell shouldn't even be where she is now. She's trying to run the table once again talking about do this for me and I'll do that for you. Classic quid pro quo. This is A crazy ass statement. And the fact that they're so brazen about it makes me wonder what they've been promised. Only she can provide the complete truth. Marcus continued. Some may not like what they hear, but the truth matters. For example, both President Trump and President Clinton are innocent of any wrongdoing. So Glenn Maxwell knows exactly what everybody did, even when she claimed she was no longer there. That's interesting. That's a hell of a skill Glenn Maxwell has. Does that come with being a bipedal serpent or is that something she picked up later on down the road? She just puts on that swami hat and before you know it, well, she knows everything and she knows who did what. Is that really what you're trying to pitch to me? That's what you expect me to buy? That Ghisain Maxwell is going to be the person that blows the doors off and gives us all the information we need? Are you stupid? She had her chance to do that before she ended up in prison. She didn't though, right? She didn't enter into a deal. She didn't speak when it was her time on the stand. None of it. But now, at this moment in history, all of a sudden, Ghislaine Maxwell has something to say. Watching them try to change this narrative in real time is wild. And the fact that they think that it's going to be successful is even more wild. Nobody's buying what you're selling, and nobody believes that Glenn Maxwell is going to tell the truth and blow the doors off this. And. And anybody telling you any different is lying to you. Neither the current or the ex president has been charged with any crime in connection to Epstein. Both deny having any knowledge of his offenses. Well, considering that article we just went through about Donald Trump's statements to the Palm beach police about how everyone knew what Epstein was, I think Donald Trump has some explaining to do. Did you lie to the Palm beach police or are you lying to us? Trump has struggled to explain his friendship with the disgraced financier and said he threw Epstein out of his Mar a Lago club after they became estranged. But the clemency play is the epitome of an age when attempted quid pro quos play out in public in hopes of swaying a president who mocks ethics and exploits power granted by voters for his own ends. Well, look, man, that's exactly what it looks like, right? We can't deny the reality of what's going on and the fact that they're being very brazen when it comes to these kinds of deals. And I don't just mean with Glenn Maxwell. I'm talking about overall. The whole situation with pardons, not just with Trump either, by the way, is ridiculous. And the President shouldn't have as much lateral ability to, to pardon some of the scumbags that they do end up pardoning. Now of course, that's just my opinion, but every single administration, it's the same song and dance. Anything that Maxwell said in the event she was released from prison would be immediately regarded as not credible, given her incentive to improve her own plight, but such as Trump's outlandish past use of his pardon powers, that her gambit cannot be dismissed. It might even work. Look, I don't put anything past Trump or the administration. Previously, before all of this blew up in July, I would have said no way. There is no chance that Donald Trump would make that move. But now, who the hell knows? It's rather obvious he doesn't care about burning political capital when it comes to Epstein. So why should he care about commuting or a pardoning Ghisaine Maxwell, even though he himself said that she was worse than Jeffrey Epstein? But I guess we can't let that get in the way of some good politics, right? To hell with the people who were abused. To hell with the people who were wronged. As long as I'm coming out of this without looking any worse than I do, that's exactly the pattern we're seeing here, and I find it disgusting. The atmosphere of thwarted accountability on one side of the Atlantic only sharpened the contrast with an extraordinary political crisis engulfing Britain. Prime Minister Keir Starmer battled to save his job amid recriminations over his decision to appoint Peter Mandelson, a former friend of Epstein, as ambassador to Washington. And in a mind boggling move, King Charles III offered to cooperate with police in any investigation into his brother, the former Prince Andrew, who has had his royal titles stripped after he obfuscated his ties to Epstein. So all this accountability going on across the sea, but here in America, we can't be bothered to hold people accountable? How dare you even ask. What is this, a moral panic, bitch? This ain't cancel culture, this is consequence culture and it's time you motherfuckers wised up. Oh well, he only sent an email. I don't care, okay? I don't care. And look, I'm not calling for people who are sending emails to go to prison. What I am saying though is they're pieces of shit and if you don't like that or it offends you, I really don't care because I'm offended that these people rule over my life. That's what I'm offended about. So if you want to be offended that they're getting called out and that their reputations are in danger, well, you right along with the people that were enabling Jeffrey Epstein can all go get. And I don't know how much more clear I need to be. You see, folks, I don't care about making friends. I don't care about being accepted to any big clubs. I don't care about any of it. I don't care about sponsors, I. I don't care about selling you dick pills, none of that. You know what I care about? I care about these people being held accountable. And I refuse to shut my mouth until that occurs. Underscoring the peril the affair opposes to the monarchy, the heir to the throne, Prince William and his wife, Princess Catherine, offered empathy to Epstein survivors through a spokesperson In Norway, where another royal has been shamed by the affair of authorities said they're investigating a former diplomat suspected of gross corruption. So everybody out there talking about Epstein not collecting information or a comprom. You look dumb. Now. We have Mandelson, we have Prince Andrew himself, and we have this Norway royal who are all giving Jeffrey Epstein confidential information. And for what reason? And do you think that's where it ended? Just those people? Because I have my doubts. This was the pattern and this is what Jeffrey Epstein was trying to do. You folks have to understand, when you get to this level, it's not just about money, it's about information. And the most important currency to these people is information, because information can change everything. Right? And that was Jeffrey Epstein's job. He was collecting information, he was working as a free agent, and he was willing to work with anyone that was willing to pay him for his services. And a whole lot of people were caught up in passing Jeffrey Epstein all kinds of information. And if that's not blackmail, if that's not kompromat, I don't know what is. The reputation of a highly respected former French culture minister was tarnished by his past contact with with Epstein. And Poland is investigating whether the convicted sex offender was linked to Russian spies. Well, we know the Polish girls came to America. Adriana Ross was Polish. So there is certainly things to look at over in Poland and Eastern Europe as a whole, because that was prime hunting ground for Jeffrey Epstein and his people 1000%. Khana marveled at the contrast between the UK and the US look at what's happening in Britain. You have a left government, actually. I know. Kira Starmer I was excited when he won, yet I believe he needs to be held accountable with what's happened with Mandelson. You have the British monarchy having to answer questions. I mean the King of England is putting out statements and yet in our country we have not had the reckoning. What explains the difference? It's a good question. And it comes down to protection money and narratives. You see, they're turning the narrative on its head now and they're trying to make this into a MeToo type of thing. But what they need to understand is that during me too, this topic was largely ignored. Nobody showed up in any pussy hats at the Glenn Maxwell trial and hardly anybody gave a damn about these survivors. So save the this reckoning right here has been a long time coming. And we're not talking about a 19 year old who was dating a 17 year old. We're not talking about a 20 year old who was with a 17 year old. What we are talking about is some of the richest, most powerful people in the world preying on young, vulnerable girls who came from broken homes. But I guess we should just ignore the circumstances, right? Just ignore it all. So what explains the difference? It's complex. Especially since none of the people who who came into contact with Epstein, apart from Maxwell, have been charged with crimes. That doesn't necessarily point to a cover up. Evidence may not lead in such a direction. Oh no, not at all. There is no crimes that were committed here. Nothing. No financial crimes, no crimes against children, no crimes against women, no crimes against the rest of us. Just pack it in. We should all just pack it in and never talk about it again. But the growing push for accountability is raising the question of what this network of powerful and sophisticated people, mostly rich men, knew about Epstein's activities and crimes, especially once he emerged from prison in 2009 after serving a 13 month sentence for sex offenses against children. By the way, always prostitution. Nah, kids can't consent. That's not prostitution. There have been some consequences for Americans who had links with Epstein. Former treasurer, secretary and former Harvard University President Larry Summers stepped away from public life after the release of embarrassing email exchanges with Epstein. Last week, Brad Karp resigned as chairman of Paul Weiss, one of the country's top corporate law firms, over his Epstein ties. But such downfalls in the US have been precipitated by reputational damage to individuals rather than government action. In Europe, the machinery of investigation and accountability remains independent. In the US the Justice Department is run by Trump loyalists who have heard his calls for the country to move on. And that's really what it comes down to. And it's sad to say. And I really don't care how people try and twist themselves up to excuse it or explain it. There is no excuse and there is no explanation. It's wrong, it's disgusting, and it needs to end. Mandelson is facing a criminal investigation over allegations he passed secret and market moving government information to Epstein. It's hard to see the Trump DOJ launching a probe in similar circumstances. Oh, yeah, talk about highly unlikely things that are never gonna happen. Okay, the Trump DOJ is not gonna investigate itself. But keep in mind that Trump is not gonna be in power forever, and there is gonna be a reckoning, I promise you. Mandelson is facing a criminal investigation over allegations he passed secret and market moving government information to Epstein. It's hard to see the Trump DOJ launching a probe and in similar circumstances. Mandelson has apologized for his past links with Epstein and has resigned from the Labour Party and the House of Lords. At least he had the humility to do that. Now, of course, he was forced to do so, but still, here we are. Results matter, right? And the fact that Mandelson is now running in disgrace, that's a good thing. The shock over disclosures about Epstein's behavior and his sprawling network of contacts is palpable in Europe. But why is disgust less obvious in the United States? Perhaps 10 years into the Trump era, the country is just punch drunk on scandal. Or maybe the spectacle of Epstein's influence peddling isn't such big news in a nation where politics is saturated in campaign cash. Yo, that's horrible to even read. And the fact that we're in a place where that could even be possible is disgusting. There is no amount of cash that should protect anyone from anything even close to what Epstein was doing. But yet, here we are, all these years later, and that's still occurring. Each day brings new revelations about Epstein's extraordinary global network of interlocking ties between bipartisan political leaders and and influencers, finance and business titans and international organizations, academia and billionaires. But amid the cacophony, people often forget what this is really about. Grievous harm inflicted on the women who were trafficked by Epstein as girls and forced to perform massages and sex acts. Their trauma is only exasperated by the apparent impunity of. Of powerful people who flocked around their abuser. Well, that's the most important part from a humanistic standpoint, without a doubt. And it's the most horrendous part, but the part that is going to send these people to prison, if anything does, it's going to be the paper trail and their greed. And that's the reason we haven't dug into that. That's not something that the powers that be want to get into. They don't want people understanding just how interconnected Jeffrey Epstein was and just how much of his money found its way into the pockets of politicians that are currently in office. Hello, Stacy Plaskett, Chuck Schumer. The story is much tidier if they can only blame one man, right? One sick degenerate. And that's exactly why they're doing that. They don't want people to understand just how widespread this rod is and how this is not just about one man, Jeffrey Epstein, but about a system that allowed that man to thrive. That's what this is really about. I think that what people also need to remember is that, you know, the survivors of his crime know what happened. Epstein victim Liz Stein, wearing a sweater reading Courage is contagious, told CNN's Jake Tapper on Monday. And so when we see things coming out that, you know, don't parallel what our truth is, we really, we're taking notice and they should be, and so should you. We should all be demanding truth and accountability wherever it leads. Not because it's politically convenient, not because the other side is in jeopardy, but because it's the right thing to do and because our society depends on it. And I truly mean that. Like, what kind of society do we want to be? Do we want to be a society that lets this kind of slide, that gives these people a pass because they have power and money? Or do we want to be a society that holds people accountable no matter their status or their wealth? I mean, I know it's a novel idea, but if you commit crimes, you should be held accountable. And I don't care if you're some homeless guy on the street or the president, it shouldn't matter one bit. But unfortunately we know that it's a big ass club and none of us are invited. Title: Epstein Investigations Abroad Move Forward as U.S. Accountability Freezes (Part 2)
Host: Bobby Capucci
Date: June 4, 2026
This episode of The Epstein Chronicles continues to dissect the ongoing stagnation of Jeffrey Epstein-related investigations and accountability in the United States, contrasting it sharply with recent and active probes in Europe. Drawing from a recent CNN article by Stephen Collinson, host Bobby Capucci provides critical commentary on the political maneuvering, legal roadblocks, and international differences that define the current “epoch of impunity” for powerful figures tied to Epstein, including Ghislaine Maxwell, former U.S. presidents, and European royals and politicians.
On Maxwell’s offer to testify for clemency:
“Her goal is to get out of prison, not add more time. But her lawyer made a stunning proposal…” (02:20)
“Classic quid pro quo. This is a crazy ass statement.” (03:15)
On transatlantic differences:
“All this accountability going on across the sea, but here in America, we can't be bothered to hold people accountable? ...This ain't cancel culture, this is consequence culture and it's time you motherfuckers wised up.” (10:45)
On the nature of Epstein’s operation:
“The most important currency to these people is information, because information can change everything. Right? And that was Jeffrey Epstein's job. He was collecting information.” (13:00)
On the U.S. justice system:
“There is no excuse and there is no explanation. It's wrong, it's disgusting, and it needs to end.” (17:40)
Survivor perspective (citing Liz Stein on CNN):
“The survivors of his crime know what happened... we should all be demanding truth and accountability wherever it leads... because our society depends on it.” (21:35)
Bobby Capucci delivers a scathing, no-holds-barred critique of how the U.S. has failed to pursue meaningful accountability for Epstein’s network of elite enablers, contrasting it with recent European crackdowns. He consistently returns to the central, unresolved harm inflicted upon Epstein’s victims and indicts not just individual actors, but an entire system that has allowed impunity to reign. The episode is a passionate call to sustained public demand for the truth, no matter the stature or connections of those who may be implicated.
