What's up everyone? And welcome to another episode of the Epstein chronicles. Over at Fortune.com they have a new article out, and in that article they're diving deep into how Jeffrey Epstein leveraged his friendship and his ties to Bill Gates and the UN to help control the women in his orbit. And this is a pretty extensive article, so we're gonna do it in a couple of parts. So with that said, I'll keep my whinging to a minimum and we'll dive right in. This article was published by Fortune.com and the headline, How Jeffrey Epstein Leveraged a Prestigious UN Affiliated Nonprofit and the Gates foundation to Control Women and Keep Them in His Orbit. This article was authored by Jessica Matthews. On September 12, 2015, more than three dozen health experts and diplomats assembled at the palace des nations, the United Nations European headquarters in Geneva, for a day long conference on preparing for pandemics. The biobook for the event, hosted by the International Peace Institute, an acclaimed think tank affiliated with the United nations that works to settle and prevent armed conflicts and was run by one of the key architects of the Oslo Accords, was a who's who of health experts and policymakers. Scheduled attendees and speakers included the Director General of the World Health Organization, President of the Institute of Medicine, the president of the National Academy of Medicine and Associate Director of the center for Disease Control and Prevention, and a senior executive from the Gates foundation, the philanthropic institution that at the time made up some of 20% of IPI's contributions. So as you can see, a very, very, you know, formidable force. A group that has a lot of sway, a group that has a lot of pull, and a group that's backed by a lot of powerful rich people. And that was the exact kind of environment where Jeffrey Epstein thrived. Among the attendees that gathered that morning at the palace for the discussion was Svetlana Puzadiva, who by her own admission had no expertise in epidemiology or foreign aid. Posadiva, a former Russian model who was then 31, had been so called assistant to Jeffrey Epstein for about five years. She had shown up to the event wearing a dress Epstein had bought her in Paris and instructed her to wear. And that was his MO, right? He would have these women show up at these conferences, these science fairs, whether they were accompanied by him or not, and the hook would be set. The only question would be who was going to take the bait. And unfortunately for a lot of these scumbags, they all did. I mean, the number of these people that were in business with Epstein is absurd. The Number of people that we talk about that should have been caught up in a RICO case. Absurd. And I'm never going to stop talking about it. Because if it was you or me or anyone you cared about rico, forget it. Under the prison sending you to Florence. That's how serious they take it, usually. I mean, for wire fraud alone, you're looking at what, a 20 piece? And of course, they were committing wire fraud on a regular basis. Never mind the structuring, never mind the immigration fraud, if you don't even believe the trafficking. What about all that other stuff? What about all of the other criminality that was occurring in Jeffrey Epstein's orbit amongst all these people? Does that not matter? Because I assure you, it matters to me. In an interview with Fortune, Posadiva said that Epstein had told her she would be working closely with both the International Peace Institute and the Gates foundation to orchestrate the whole event. I'll be in the middle of it, helping coordinate the whole project. That's how he positioned it. To me, she said, well, yeah, Epstein's gonna sell you rainbows and sunshine, but what he delivers is nothing but a storm. And on paper, that seemed true. Terry Rod Larson, who was then CEO of ipi, would go on to sign a personal recommendation letter for Opposadiva's visa application, a copy of which emerged in the Epstein files earlier this year, stating that she held an active and lead role coordinating follow up meetings for the event, and that without her extraordinary efforts, the fundraising would not have reached the levels it reached. Immigration fraud. That's all it is. That's all it was. That's all it ever will be. And nobody talks about it like it's no big deal, but it's one of the key elements of trafficking. So for all the people out there that don't believe it was trafficking, sit down and shut up already. In fact, why don't you do us all a favor and go talk about the new shiny object Aliens? You know, the same people who don't believe the Epstein stuff all of a sudden believe that the aliens are demons and they're coming here from another dimension out of here with all of that. You want demons? We're talking about them right here. And this is about what, the 10th, 15th time that there is proof that there was immigration fraud going on that nobody ever cared about, nobody ever investigated, nobody ever went to prison for. How was Epstein able to manipulate that? Who in the government? The State Department was helping him out? I guess we'll never know, right? Because we're just going to move on. Hey, have you heard about the four foot green men that came here from planet Neptar? In hindsight, Posadiva now sees the IPI job Epstein routed to her as one of the hooks he used to keep me around. Yet another promise of career opportunities she could only obtain through him that ultimately never materialized. Posadiva's experience was part of a larger pattern. Yeah, that's how they control things. How many people have to come out and tell you that? How many more people have to come forward and say, yeah, this is what was happening? He would take our passport, they would take our, you know, immigration paperwork, and we'd be basically slaves. Epstein introduced IPI to the Gates foundation in 2013, closely advising IPI employees on what to say and how to obtain the initial $5 million donation to IPI and working behind the scenes with an advisor to then Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates to stimulate interest and speed up the process. Remember when Bill Gates said he had nothing to do with Epstein and that the only kind of contact they had had to do with philanthropy? Now, I know this is going to come as a shock to you, but Bill Gates is a liar. He lied then, and he's still lying now. The Gates foundation would become extraordinarily significant donor relationship for the next three years, with the IRS record showing that donations from the Gates foundation made up more than 20 of IPI's annual donations between 2013 and 2015. And I'm sure that all of that money was coming from legit sources. I'm sure that none of that money came from laundering or human trafficking or insert scam here. And it's wild to me that Bill Gates actually thought that he could get away with it, that he could just, you know, rewrite history and try and rebuild and rebrand his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein when the evidence is right here. Epstein would also be involved in gifts totaling $950,000 from private equity titan Leon Black to IPI. In return, Epstein used leverage he garnered while with IPI's leadership to offer jobs or secure U.S. visa recommendation letters for at least four women in his orbit. And I'm sure he was just bringing them over because he's a good guy, right? Just wanted to help them out. I'm doing this for the betterment of humanity. I'm just an altruistic guy, and I want to make sure that everybody has a shot. Emails released by the Department of Justice earlier this year alongside Posediva and another assistant's personal accounts show how Epstein used and leveraged the brands of A respected think tank and one of the most important philanthropic institutions in the world as instruments to control and traffic women. All while he was already known to be a registered sex offender. Except where otherwise noted mentions of emails, text messages, and documents refer to items released publicly by the doj. So nothing's gonna happen, unfortunately. But there's ample evidence of a large scale immigration fraud operation, and nobody's ever dug deep into that. Nobody's ever looked into that with the sort of rigor that it deserves. And anytime you talk about it, all you get is a half assed answer. Oh, well, you know, it wasn't a RICO case, so they didn't even look at that. Well, that's part of the big problem, right? That it wasn't a RICO case from the very beginning. How many more elements do we need to see to prove to everybody out there that this was a criminal enterprise? Again, even if you don't believe that Jeffrey Epstein was involved in large scale blackmailing of people. Large scale, you know, trafficking children. How can you deny the criminality of the empire that he was running and the fact that people are so willing to overlook that to try and push a narrative that Epstein's a hoax? It's very telling. After his 2008 conviction for soliciting an underage woman for prostitution, a child, Epstein began recruiting young looking foreign women over the age of 18 who were abroad or already within the U.S. remember how I told you that he changed it up? This is what they're talking about. Epstein wasn't a dumb person. Vile, Disgusting. Gross. Not dumb. Not when it comes to this. Bro knew what he was doing, and he was good at it. But the thing is, he couldn't do it alone. He needed help. And all those people, vast majority of them, are still roaming the streets free. Epstein began recruiting them on the promise of jobs, education, and career opportunity. A pattern documented by women and their personal accounts in several lawsuits in the years since. Epstein died by suicide, allegedly in a jail cell, often referring to them as his assistants. And Epstein helped them to obtain visas and pay for their accommodation, clothing, and education, later demanding gratitude and obedience to his commands and conveying that they owed him for his generosity. If that's not a human trafficking ring, I don't know what is. So can we dispel the myth that Epstein wasn't doing this? He most certainly was. And as much as we've talked about it, the scale is so much larger than. Than we even know. Sometimes he would pay for or demand that they recruit other women. Many of these assistants were from Russia or Eastern Europe, some of them poor and still learning English. And they became dependent on Epstein for visas, housing, and money. Several of the assistants, including Posadaiva and another who shared her personal account with Fortune, say they were repeatedly sexually abused by Epstein during the course of of their time in his orbit. That was part of the job. Oh, I'm gonna hook you up, but you gotta do X, Y and z for me. And maybe my buddies. Hey, go see Leon. Hey, why don't you come over and give so and so a massage? Oh, you don't want to? Well, maybe, just maybe, I'll lose your immigration paperwork. And then what? Epstein had complete control of these women over every decision they made, Whatever they did, wherever they went, it was up to Epstein. And all of it was rooted in fear of what Epstein would do if they said no. Epstein's regular engagement with politicians and tech executives and his affiliation with prominent institutions like the International Peace Institute or the Gates foundation legitimized Epstein, according to Posadaeva, and made her hesitant to question whether the career opportunities he was offering were real or not. That certainly played a part. And when we talk about refurbishing and building Epstein's reputation up, this is what I mean. If all these quote unquote, legitimate people are around them, accepting them and being part of his little crew, then some foreign girl from Russia or insert Eastern European country here, isn't going to know any better. What, we're going to blame her. It was normalized. She was groomed. She was brought over. And this is supposedly the way that life goes if you're one of Epstein's people. Meanwhile, what was happening is she was kept in human captivity. And I know people don't want us hear it, but it's the truth. Being able to meet tech executives or prime ministers when you come from a small country or from Russia or Ukraine, it changes your perspective, she says. If someone like this comes to Epstein's house, maybe it's me who doesn't understand something here. And that's what it comes down to. When it's normalized by everybody around you, then it's normal. Another former assistant, who Fortune is referring to as Marna, in an effort to protect her identity from becoming known, told Fortune in an interview that Epstein's proximity to important people and witnessing him leverage those relationships as if they owed him something, made. The threats he made or the stories he told are all feel equally true. For a foreign woman in her 20s with limited English, that framing was very powerful. She said it made him seem Untouchable. In response to the comment for this story, an IPI spokesperson said in a statement that the think tank continues to be very troubled by the documents released recently by the U.S. department of justice relating to Jeffrey Epstein, and that in joint with those around the world who have expressed solidarity with the survivors of Epstein's wrongdoing. Yeah, the crimes and wrongdoings that you helped perpetuate. That's what you're talking about. Because that's what happened. People like you giving Jeffrey Epstein credibility and this veneer of armor that led directly to Epstein doing what he did for so long. IPI is aware of the connection that once existed between Epstein and IPI's former president, Terry Rod Larson, a connection IPI acknowledged in 2020 when it announced Mr. Larson's resignation. IPI no longer has contact with Mr. Larson or his executive staff, the statement said. The Gates foundation said in a statement that the harm Epstein inflicted on women and girls was horrific, and no one should ever have to experience what they did. It's deeply troubling. Without our knowledge, Epstein used the Gates Foundation's name to further his agenda. What did you think was going to happen? You didn't come into this blind. This man was already a convicted sex offender. Why are you at his house? Why are you looking for charity from him? Why are you doing anything with him? There has been no evidence suggesting that Rod Larson was personally involved in abusing any women himself, nor that he was aware that Epstein was abusing the women he helped procure jobs and visas for. Okay, sure, if you say so. The law firm representing Rod Larson pointed Fortune to statements it's issued in recent weeks on Rod Larson's behalf, including from his lawyer, John Christian Eldon, who said earlier this year that Rod Larson has previously expressed regret for his association with Epstein and has clearly distanced himself from Epstein's actions. He has expressed deep sympathy for those affected and acknowledges that in hindsight, he should have exercised greater caution. A representative for Black did not respond to Fortune's requests for comment. All right, folks, we're going to wrap up episode one right here. And in the next episode, we're going to pick up where we left off. All the information that goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
