Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal enterprise operated like a shadow economy — opaque, insulated, and nearly impenetrable by design. On the surface, he posed as a mysterious financier managing the wealth of the ultra-rich, but in reality, almost no one could...

What's up everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. Today we have an article from the NPR and we're just going to dive right in today Headline here's why Conspiracy Theories About Jeffrey Epstein keep flourishing. This article was authored by Lisa Hagan. Well, maybe if the federal government was a little more transparent about what happened that day in the jail, maybe there wouldn't be so many conspiracy theories. Maybe there wouldn't be so many people out here trying to fill in the gaps. Because the federal government, like usual, is not being upfront with the American people. How about that for a conspiracy theory? Jeffrey Epstein has been dead for three years, but his ghost still wanders the dark, the dark halls of the Internet, you know, and right off the bat, framing it as Epstein is some kind of conspiracy theory. What Epstein did is not really as bad as they say. I mean, come on, in life, Epstein was a secretive financier. You mean pedophile. Arrested for a series of sexual crimes with underage girls in death. Speculation about his suicide in jail formed an Additional layer of conspiratorial fog around his legacy. Well, what should happen? Should people just accept the narrative? I mean that's what these legacy media authors and journalists expect us to do. Just accept everything that they're saying as the as fact. Because you know, there is not a track record of them misleading us or anything. See, I'm old enough to remember the fake ass war in Iraq that this legacy media dog walked us into playing on our emotions. And ever since then I've had my radar up and everything that they tell me I take with a grain of salt. There's a reason I don't watch TV when it comes to media or the news. I don't care what these people have to say. I'm not going to sit here and listen to them just hammer one side or the other for political purposes. I'm over that. I've evolved past that. We have bigger problems than arguing with each other over dumb. Obviously bigger problems considering somebody like Jeffrey Epstein was able to get away with this for all of these years and we're still fighting about if it's a conspiracy theory or not. Let me break it down for you. There's no conspiracy theory here. Jeffrey Epstein was involved with some of the most elite people in the world and they had a transnational human trafficking ring that they were working in. Point blank, period. No conspiracy theory. When the FBI searched former President Donald Trump's Mar A Lago Mar a Lago home in early August, it took less than a day for far right Internet personality Jack Posiabic to summon Epstein's ghost. We now know the judge who signed off on the Mar A Lago rate was Jeffrey Epstein's lawyer. Don't question it. Pose a bayek posted to his 185000 Telegram followers. Well, is it wrong? Is that a wrong statement? It's not. Judge Reinhardt was a prosecutor one day and then the next day he was defending Sarah Kellen Vickers. And it's funny how these articles that talk about that, they don't even bring up the people that he defended, they just say, oh, some of Epstein's associates. As if it's not worthy of a deeper look. And, and the reason that they do it, and this is what's so confounding to me, is the very same reason that they're saying other people are talking about this. To score political points for their side. That's all this is and that's all it ever will be to the legacy media. A hot button topic that they can use to try and score some points on either side of the aisle. Meanwhile, all of these women who have had their lives ruined, they're left to pick up the pieces while all of these idiots play their game of thrones. The claim repeated across fringe threads and deceiving headlines is misleading. While in private practice, Federal Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart had previously represented some of Epstein's employees who had also been accused of facilitate facilitating sex trafficking. Misleading. What's misleading about the fact that he was working as a prosecutor literally one day and then the next day working for for Jeffrey Epstein's co conspirators? How is that a conspiracy theory? It is not. Within days the false claim. How is that a false claim? Honestly, again, how is it a false claim? Within days the false claim took off in far right circles, drawing the attention of Fox News, which later had to issue a clarification for airing an edited picture that falsely showed Reinhardt next to Ghislaine Maxwell who was convicted as an accomplice to many of Epstein's crimes. You know, it's funny because I seen the same thing in left leaning circles with John Roberts picture being on Epstein's island. Both sides are guilty of this and that's one of the hardest things to deal with as somebody trying to get to justice here and not worrying about the political ramifications swimming through all the that is tossed into the water by both sides is, is very, very frustrating and frankly I'm tired of it. But when you have outlets like this, the NPR coming out and trying to castigate something as a conspiracy theory when it's really not, I just don't understand how they can look at themselves in the mirror and be like, ah, yeah, this is quality work. This is just the latest spike of Epstein related yarn spinning. But Epstein is likely to remain a narrative for some on the right for years to come and see. There it is again. Some on the right. Is it not important to you? Let me ask you a few questions, Ms. Hagan, author of this article, if you were interested in actually getting to the bottom of things instead of making this a hit piece, wouldn't you be asking the question in this article as well? Why Ghislaine Maxwell was at Chelsea Clinton's wedding, why Jeffrey Epstein gave the Clinton Global Initiative millions and millions of dollars, why Jeffrey Epstein went to the White House 17 times while Bill Clinton was in office. Aren't these some of the questions that should also be asked in an article like this? And if not, what it looks like is that you're writing a hit piece just another Way to dehumanize people. Just another way to provide cover fire for your favorite politicians. And it's crazy because that's basically what they're accusing people of doing with Donald Trump. But they're doing the same exact thing. And this is the legacy media. They'll bray and moan about something, and then they'll jump right in and do it. I mean, for how many months or weeks now have we heard that you can't talk about a judge, you can't criticize a judge? And then I wake up to a bunch of articles of people doing exactly that when it fits their political narrative. So it can't be both ways. Right? You can't be a, you know, a sometimes crook, a halfway crook. Right. And when it comes to the federal government, you can't pick and choose when you're going to decide that they're being honest or not. If you think that the FBI is up to no good when it comes to Epstein, all of a sudden, everything else they do is above board. That's called hypocrisy, my friends. One clear reason for the staying power of conspiracy theories involving Epstein is his frequent socializing with the world's rich and famous. He hobnobbed with Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, and Donald Trump. Britain's Prince Andrew lost his royal privileges over sexual assault allegations involving Epstein. Those relationships are potent examples for conspiracists to cast all, nearly all, political events as driven by hidden sex fueled abuses and cover ups. And the author is not wrong. There. There's a lot of people on the other side of the aisle, the QAnon types, who have also hijacked this topic and made it near impossible to even get to the bottom of things. When you're out there saying that there's some cabal running everything, I mean, come on, man. I just can't buy that kind of stuff. That's not how the world works. The world's a much more complicated place. You want to talk about people running the world, that's the financial sector. You know, the people that keep us in slavery. Financial slavery. Yeah, those people run the world. Not some cabal, not the wef. That's not the case. That's not happening. Okay, sure, those people exist. Sure, they have all kinds of weird plans. But the reality is this, none of that has anything to do with the fact that Jeffrey Epstein was running a human trafficking ring for decades in America, was visiting an American president on a regular basis, hobnobbing with another person who became president. And then you add all of the other People he was hanging out with. I mean, what do you expect people to think? Epstein's death by suicide, allegedly in jail under Bureau of Prisons custody, also fueled a popular wave of theories and memes. But it's the established facts of his crimes that make him a useful character in an extended universe of. Of fringe boogeymen. Wow, this is hella disrespectful to the survivors, this article. And if I was a survivor reading this, I'd be really upset by it, honestly. So Jeffrey's. Epstein's just a fringe boogeyman. The fact that he was so entwined with the upper crust of society that makes everything move is just not that big of a deal. It's just a conspiracy theorist. A theory that was cooked up by QAnon. Absolutely ridiculous. A right word drift. Systematic child abuse and exploitation is real. Reporting by news organizations has uncovered major, major abuses in churches, among celebrities, the foster care system, and so on. But those revelations can also easily be plucked and reassembled to form the backbone of conspiratorial narratives. That is true. Look, when you're looking for something and you're chasing your. Your confirmation bias, you can certainly find it. And there is a confirmation bias that a lot of people are chasing. And it's not just people on the left, a lot of people on the right. Man, she's not wrong about QAnon and stuff. Those people are batshit crazy. JFK Jr is not coming back. There's no special secret government cabal named QAnon. It's all BS. It's always been BS. And the fact that people have tried to manipulate the narrative to fit their silly ass conspiracy theories is laughable at best. To me. You don't need conspiracy theories here, folks. This is salacious enough at its core. That's why I don't understand people trying to make make up here. You really think it's not a big deal that a president of the United States had Jeffrey Epstein a child molester? And at the White House 17 times we have to make up a conspiracy? I certainly don't. That's bad enough as it is. The facts in this case are bad enough. And when people start trying to add to those facts, well, you can see how it gets relatively confusing. Before his 2018 arrest, the Miami Herald, which broke many of the stories about Epstein, saw the most online engagement with stories about him. An NPR analysis of data compiled by the media intelligence company Newswhip found that today online engagement with these stories has migrated almost entirely to conservative sites such as the Daily Wire and the Western Journal, both outlets with massive social media audiences that mostly repackage professional journalism into narratives of conservative victimization and other right wing themes. I mean, really, we care what a bunch of knuckleheads are chattering about in the comments section of a thread? Because I can find a lot of crazies on the left too, that are talking all kinds of crazy stuff as well. You see, nobody has a monopoly on the crazies, folks. Both sides, the fringes of both sides. You know, the big mouths, the loud mouths who want to tell you about your health, who want to tell you

We're here day or night, ready whenever you need help because a great trip starts with the right support. Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones invoked Epstein's life and death repeatedly as he defended himself in the course of a recent defamation trial brought by parents of children murdered at the Sandy Hook Elementary School Jones courtroom. Mentions of Epstein blur the lines between established facts and popular speculation, Framing Jones lies about the parents of Sandy Hook shooting victims as reasonable. It's effective because lots of lots of these things that are said about Epstein Epstein's life are in fact true and actually do kind of plug into a pre existing kind of narrative about what our elites are up to, says Qasem Kasem, a philosophy professor at Warwick University in the United Kingdom and the author of a book called Conspiracy Theories. So right there the author admits that this is real. A lot of the things that are said about Epstein's life are in fact true. So why try and wrap it all up as a conspiracy theory? And my biggest problem with this article is it's posited as Epstein in general. It's a conspiracy theory all wrapped up as a hit piece to go after people, people on the right, the QAnon crazies, whatever. How does that move the ball? How does that get the ball rolling for justice here? How about spending this amount of time and this amount of words exposing Bill Clinton's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein? Each detail of Epstein's real elaborate predation of young girls serves as a factual toehold for believers of the Pizza Gate and QAnon conspiracy theories, both which I, I think were crazy. Look, a lot of people can be dog walked into some if they're chasing their confirmation bias and if they're listening to outlets and news that's pumping rage porn on a regular basis, you know, us versus them. And it doesn't matter who's passing the messaging, left or right, that's going to make you more apt to go after the other side, even if it's some sort of nonsensical BS like some of the nonsense we see. Both are unfounded, interlocking narratives about powerful cabal of elite sex trafficking children. In turn, they feed into fanciful depictions of Trump as a mythic hero unfairly maligned and cheated out of a second term as he takes on an imagined satanic. Satanic cabal. And, and that's what it's all about, right? If it had nothing, if Trump wasn't involved here, they wouldn't even be doing an article about this. And as far as Trump being a mythical hero, yeah, okay, sure. And I could beat Hickson Gracie in a jiu jitsu match. Trump's just another one of these elites like everybody else. Another one of these rich ass dudes that when it comes down to it, doesn't give a about any of us. Not me, not you, not the hardcore kids qain honors. Everybody's a vote to these people. And the sooner folks stop the hero worship of politicians, the better off we're all going to be. These people are all worried about their own wealth, increasing their own wealth, their own power. I'm worried about you and me. Anti trafficking organizations in Fact sent President Trump an open letter saying, anybody who lends any credibility to Q anon conspiracies related to human trafficking actively harms the fight against it. That's true. But guess what? Anyone who actively whitewashes Bill Clinton's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and what Jeffrey Epstein was doing involved with human trafficking is actively ready. Is actively harming the fight against it. See what I did there? Edit it out. Epstein's ties to Trump himself are generally left unspoken in extremist fringe communities, according to Michael Hayden of the Southern Poverty Law center, because the goal of an Epstein reference in these circles, he says, is to discredit anyone seen as trafficking, seen as attacking Trump. Well, you're not going to get that here, folks. I have no love for Donald Trump. I don't care about the guy one way or the other. To me, he's, he, he's insignificant at this point. Just another ex president, that's all. Keep it moving. The whole hubbub around them all the time. Foolish waste of time. And while everybody else might want to scream into the storm all day, I have better things to do. What could I possibly accomplish or uncover about Donald Trump that all of these people with all of this money haven't found out? So why scream into the storm? Fact of the matter is this. For anyone out there who might not know or might not realize Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein were homies, they did hobnob. Anyone who owns any kind of pageant, by the way, Donald Trump, anybody? Yeah, I have some questions about people who own those pageants. So here on this podcast, I don't care about your politics. Wherever this leads, that's where we end up. And that's who gets absolutely blasted here on the podcast. And if you want more Trump articles, talk to the legacy media and have them write them about Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein. If they can find that information and put it out there, let's do it. I want every single person who was involved in this to be exposed and to face justice. And I don't care what sort of political ramifications come with it. I don't care if it ruins Bill Clinton. I don't care if it ruins Donald Trump. I do not care. I'm not in the business of worrying about these politicians when unfavorable news breaks. Any reference to Epstein is a quick way for his supporters to frame a debate as a false choice between Trump's side or Epstein's. It provides validation for fellow believers, Hayden says, and serves to diminish criticism about Trump. However bad news events may look for Trump by citing Epstein. The other side looks worse and more depraved. But both sides do this. It's called whataboutism. You see it a lot with Biden's kids and Trump's kids. Oh, well, what about Donald Trump Jr. Well, what about Hunter Biden's laptop? Here's an idea. They're all crooked, they're all corrupt. And the political elite that control us, not some cabal, not some lizard people in a back room, the political elite right there out in front, brazenly controlling us, well, they're all scumbags. These are the tools in the shed of people who are, for lack of a better word, fascist propagandists who understand how to use this friend versus enemy binary. He says your side does it too. So what does that make you? Both of the fringes here who are trying to manipulate the Epstein story into a cudgel are guilty of this. And when you only bring up that one side's doing it, well, that puts you directly in the camp of somebody who is manipulating this story for political gain and benefit. Within the current right wing media ecosystem, Hayden says whatever cultural barriers that once existed between the furthest fringes and mainstream commentators have eroded badly. Same goes for the left. It is absurd. Some of the things that is said on the news from all of these talking heads and to try and frame it as just one side and not the other is absolutely ridiculous. And I got to tell you, both sides of the argument here, both bunkers, you better be careful because those out there of those of us who are independents, we're paying attention and we're paying attention to the, that both sides are tossing. And there's going to be ramifications come election day. The way disparate corners of the pro Trump world come together in agreement over Epstein theories reminds him of the blend of crowds drawn to the January 6th Capitol riots. Oh, so now what you're going to do is frame it? Anyone who talks about Epstein is a, an insurrectionist. They should go to jail, too. I wouldn't be shocked if there are some corners that will say that it's a combination of people who are of a harder edge variety and, and people who you would not expect to be mingling with them, says Hayden, potentially leading to ever deeper radicalization. He says pro Trump audiences have been exposed to years of tropes and hateful stereotypes anti Semites want associated with Jews. There is a lot of that nonsense. There's a lot of people that on both sides, let's be clear, look at the people who support BDS look at people like Ilan Omar or Ocasio Cortez and how they feel about Israel. So there's a lot of anti Semitism on both sides. And to say that one side or the other has a monopoly on that, well, that's ridiculous as well. More baiting going on here. In fact, We're talking about explicit anti Semites here who like to portray Jewish people as being sexually deviant or being predatory, particularly with young women. This is propaganda that goes back decades and decades. It's very old, says Hayden. I I don't know who would say that. I mean, people are people and we're all gray characters. And I don't care what your ethnicity is, I don't care what your religion is. If you're a scumbag, you're a scumbag. With that groundwork laid, all you need is somebody like Posia Bick. Just need a big influencer to say Epstein judge. And you have yourself don't even have to be dirtied with anti Semitism, says Hayden. So anytime you make criticism of a judge, if they happen to be a certain religion or ethnicity, you're going against that religion or ethnicity. Are the same rules applied to the judges that rule for Trump? Because I'm not seeing those same rules applied, folks. And you want to talk about bias, you want to talk about nonsense. We have the judge who just ruled in Trump's favor, and that judge's name is all over the news getting blasted by everybody because she made a ruling that went against the official narrative. But it's okay for that to happen. But if this judge who signed off on the warrant gets blasted for his obvious work with Epstein, well, now you're just going too far. And now it's dangerous criticism. And this is what I'm talking about. As far as independence out there or people who are not affiliated with either party, we're looking at this stuff. We're seeing it, and come election time, you better believe we're going to remember it. After Posiabic and a choir of right wing publications promoted the Epstein judge idea, the real Judge Reinhardt was inducted into the growing club of people whose home addresses have appeared in Internet message boards alongside calls for execution and anti Semitic slurs, he probably won't be the last. Look, if anyone's calling for anyone's execution, you're a piece of that's not how things should be done. But that doesn't mean you can't criticize this judge. And as far as home addresses aren't People camping out at the Supreme Court right now. So how is that any different from people criticizing this judge? And you want to talk about bias? Come on, give me a break, folks. Hayden says to expect a very extended haunting from Epstein's ghost. It's like what is the opposite of a piece of classic literature? Well, you want it to end, go after his co conspirators. Why didn't you guys drop a RICO case on him? What's your conspiracy theorist answer to that? And it's funny. Oh, Epstein's ghost this, Epstein's ghost that. I'm sure all of you would love to forget about him. I'm sure you would all love to put it in the past. Guess what? Not gonna happen.

Boss, what's the most dreaded question that you can get when you tell people you host a podcast called the Lapsed Fan? Ugh. It's. What is it about? And why is that, do you think? Because to like pro wrestling is to lose the respect of others. Now what if we told you there's a podcast that explains exactly why that is and why it's kind of deserved. For over a decade, we've taken fact finding missions through the thicket of half truths that is wrestling history. We watch old matches, call out carnies, laugh at our own jokes, and have so much fun doing it that some people actually can't handle it. Think wrestling is an escape from real life? Think again. Same power games, same office politics, same people lying to your face. Just with entrance music and absolutely no company health insurance under any circumstances. All I offer is opportunity, not benefits. As do we, Vince. The lapsed fan podcast. Come for the wrestling history. Stay for the uncomfortable truth about why it used to be better and why you still care.

U. S. Virgin Islands is not something new. Seems to me that a lot of people are under the impression that this information is new information. It is not. Bobby Capucci
all fine and well. But let me ask you a question.
Bobby Capucci (continued commentary)
When it comes to Denise George, what exactly has she done to. To promote justice in this case? Oh, well, she's got some money for the US Virgin Islands, no doubt about it. Got a civil penalty awarded to her and the other politicians in the usvi. But what has she done to further justice? Who has she brought to justice here? Who is she even deposed?
Bobby Capucci
Nobody.
Bobby Capucci (continued commentary)
So the whole entire nonsense about Denise George being some kind of hero in this case is laughable at best. She is nothing more than another opportunist who was circling like a vulture around the corpse. She got 105 million and she figured she'd press the envelope here a little bit and sue the banks as well. You notice there's no criminal charges slapped on anybody. You would think she has all of this evidence that there would have been some criminal charges slapped on people. Nobody got hit with criminal charges. None of the politicians from the Virgin Islands, nobody. So you can miss me with the whole Denise George is some kind of hero. She is not. Today's article is from The Daily Mail headline lawsuit accuses former Barclays JP Morgan exec of being part of Jeffrey Epstein sex ring who they said he had a profound friendship and they exchanged 1200 emails from his work account. And that's just from his work account. If you really think Jess Staley and Jeffrey Epstein weren't homies and they weren't breaking bread behind the scenes, I don't know what to tell you. This article was authored by Mark Duell, James Robinson and Stephen Lepore. Former Barclays and JP Morgan executive Jess Staley is accused of being an operative and late billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein sex ring. After thousands of emails between the two reveal a profound friendship, a lawsuit claims. Yo, this is like getting in a time machine and going back in time. We've been talking about Jeff Staley and his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein for over three years now. Nice of everybody else to finally catch up. The filing was made in an amended complaint Tuesday by the US Virgin Islands, which had previously sued JP Morgan over the bank's ties to Epstein. Staley worked at J.P. morgan until 2013. Between 2008 and 2012, Staley exchanged approximately 1,200 emails with Epstein from his J.P. morgan email account, the amendment alleges. During that time, the bank serviced approximately 55 Epstein related accounts collectively worth hundreds of millions of dollars. That all tracks. That's all a fact. J.P. morgan, Deutsche bank, these were the banks of choice for Jeffrey Epstein. And it was all because he had buddies working in the wealth asset management department that were going to safeguard his transactions, make sure he's not getting, you know, SARD and making sure that the accounting department is looking the other way. Because one thing we know about the financial sector, they don't have any problem making money on the back of scumbag pieces of like Jeffrey Epstein. And from the suffering he causes to people like the survivors, what do the banks care? All they care about is more money. All they care about is consolidating their power. Staley, 66, had quit Barclays in November of 2021 after the bank's board said it was disappointed with the outcome of a report into his links to convicted sex offender pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Well, no shit. You guys had one of Jeffrey Epstein's biggest financial enablers running your company. Of course they're going to find that to be off the cuff. Of course they're going to find that to be disgusting. And of course Jess Staley is going to be shown the door. But not because what he did was wrong. Not because what, what he did was condemnable by his bosses. It was because he was caught. It was because he was called out for it. Everybody at Barclays knew who Jess Staley was before they gave him that job. These communications show a close personal relationship and profound friendship between the two men, and even suggest that Staley may have been involved in and Epstein sex trafficking operation. The amendment continues. They also reveal that Staley corresponded with Epstein while Epstein was incarcerated and visited Epstein's Virgin island residence on multiple occasions, according to the Daily Beast. We've talked about this ad nauseam here. Jess Daly was certainly one of the key cogs in Jeffrey Epstein's financial plans. He visited the island.
Bobby Capucci
That's a fact.
Bobby Capucci (continued commentary)
Now, is there any evidence that he was taking part in the actual abuse of any of these girls?
Bobby Capucci
Not to my knowledge.
Bobby Capucci (continued commentary)
I haven't heard any of that. But he certainly was involved in enabling Jeffrey Epstein's bullshit. The US Virgin Islands suit also claims that Staley was allowed to remain a decision maker on Epstein's accounts and even asked to discuss the historical score, assorted sex trafficking and human trafficking allegations against them. In addition, JP Morgan allegedly would make payments to numerous women with Eastern European surnames who were publicly and internally identified as Epstein recruiters, including a $600,000 payment to one Jane Doe, the pedophile purchased when she was just 14 years old. And. And that person is Nadia Marcinkova. It's unbelievable what this poor woman has went through in her life. When we first started talking about this, she was considered part of the core four, right? One of the top four lieutenants working with Epstein. But as we got more context and we learned more about the story, we all understand now that Nadia Marzenkova was a victim here as well. Imagine your parents selling you for $600,000. And not only just selling you, but selling you to a man like Jeffrey Epstein. Imagine what Nadia's life must have been like. The complaint goes on to say that Hyperion Air, who owned Epstein's infamous Lolita Express private jet, also issued hundreds of thousands of dollars in checks payable to cash or fuel expenses. Many of these cast cash withdrawals either exceeded the ten thousand dollar reporting threshold or were seemingly structured to avoid triggering the reporting requirement. The lawsuit claims this is particularly significant since it is well known that Epstein paid his victims in cash. So the real question is, why did Denise George not file criminal charges? For all the people out there singing her praises, all of a sudden all of these Johnny come lately who don't know anything about. Let's just be real out here talking about Denise George like she's some kind of hero. Like she is some kind of vigilante in this case, who was hell bent on justice, when the reality is something completely different. All she cared about was getting more money for the U.S. virgin Islands. $105 million, huh? Okay, sure. That's what they rate. Now, how they rate that, I have no idea. Considering nobody in the US Virgin Islands, meaning the islands itself, or government officials, nobody was abused. It was actual people who were abused. And that $105 million that went into the bank account of the US Virgin island and undoubtedly on through that bank account, into the hands of some scumbag politicians, well, they took money directly out of the hands and pockets of these survivors. So if you're cool with that, then great. But me, personally, I'm not cool with it. And I don't think Denise George is somebody that should be celebrated. Epstein is accused of misusing JP Morgan accounts for nonprofit organizations and used it to pay associates like Les Wexner as well as ex girlfriends. Now, if me or you did this, we would already be hit with a RICO case, and it would be the worst day of our lives. Meanwhile, all these years later, and we can't get the government to even lift a finger for a RICO case. All we get is this bullshit seco Civil version of it, and all it is is a cash grab. You mean to tell me that Jeffrey Epstein and his associates should only be held accountable civilly? They shouldn't be sitting in a prison cell somewhere? Many thought the lawsuit against JP Morgan might go dead after former Attorney General Denise George was fired shortly after the initial suit was filed. Of course not. It had nothing to do with the suit.

Imagine that. Somebody losing their gig because they suck at their job. When Staley quit Barclays in 2021, the American Banker intends to contest the findings. He is reportedly shell shocked, angry, and upset at the preliminary conclusion of the report. Barclays, meanwhile, pointed out the probe makes no findings that he saw or was aware of any of Epstein's alleged crimes. Yeah, we can believe the internal probe, right? Because they have no skin in the game to make it as less painful as possible for Barclays and Jess Staley. Barclay said last year that UK financial regulators were probing links between Mr. Staley and Epstein, who killed himself, allegedly while awaiting trial on sex trafficking offenses. Staley has previously said his relationship with Epstein, who was also friends with Prince Andrew, ended in late 2015, and that he regretted his relationship with him. What he really means is he regrets that his relationship with Epstein was was outed. That's what he really means. The 64 year old, who was married to interior designer Debbie, was replaced today by the bank's head of global markets, Venkat Krishnan, known as Venkat Barclay, said Staley was entitled to 12 months notice and will therefore continue to receive his current fixed annual pay of 2.4 million in cash and Barclays shares, a pension allowance of £120,000 and other benefits until October 31st of 2022. Imagine this guy got this golden parachute on the way out the door. Imagine sucking at your job that bad, getting fired, embarrassed in the company and still getting hooked up. It must be nice, huh? It must be nice. Staley was born in Boston in 1956. He is one of four children who move frequently with their father Paul, a plant manager for Procter and Gamble. His father later became CEO of PQ Corporation, a chemicals business based outside Philadelphia, where Staley grew up. After graduating with a degree in economics from Bowdoin College In Maine in 1979, he joined banking giants J.P. morgan on a training program in New York. He later moved to Brazil to help set up its investment banking venture in South America, where he met his future wife Debbie just days after arriving. He returned to New York in 1989 and quickly shot up the ladder at J.P. morgan. In 1990 he was asked by then CEO Sandy Warner to manage the group's private banking division and the private banking division and all of these banks is set up basically for people like Epstein. Believe me, you and I, we are not invited to to be part of that bank. In 2001 he was promoted to CEO of J.P. morgan Asset Management and ran the division until 2009. After 34 years with J.P. morgan, he left for Blue Mountain Capital Management, now Assured investment management in 2013 before joining Barclays in 2015. So Barclays already knew what he was, who he was and and who he was breaking bread with and they hired him anyway. He is also credited as a key supporter of the LGBTQ community within the U S banking sector, having been inspired by work of his younger brother Peter who was diagnosed with AIDS related complex. In 1985 Peter founded Act Up, a New York based AIDS activist group and would go on to serve as a member of of President Bill Clinton's National Task Force on AIDS Drug Development. Hey, look great. All of that stuff fine and well but that doesn't absolve you of the bullshit you were up to with Epstein it doesn't absolve you of the fact that you were financially enabling this man to continue on with his human trafficking and abuse of women and girls. In addition to his connections to former President Clinton Sta, Staley has held Democrat party fundraisers and at his plush New York apartment said to be a short distance from the Guggenheim Museum. Staley's relationship with Epstein been under the microscope since revelations about the financier pedophile's sex trafficking came to light. He embarked on a professional relationship with Epstein in 2000 when he became head of JP Morgan's private bank, of which Epstein was a client. So, look, he's been around for long enough. He's smart enough to know who Epstein was and who Epstein always had been. Yet he chose, like all these other people, to follow his greed instead and work with Epstein.

All because he wanted to make more money. Pretty pathetic, isn't it? Epstein had been charged with sex crimes and pleaded guilty in 2008 to solicitation of prostitution. A report by the New York Times in 2019 revealed how compliance officers at JPMorgan chase and conducted a sweep of their wealthy clients in 2009. However, he remained a JP Morgan client until 2013. Well, that's because they didn't care. It's all about appearances, right? Oh, we'll make pretend we're going to sweep these clients out. of all of our scumbags.

But the reality is this, those scumbag criminals are such a huge cog in the machine that. That they can't get rid of them. They can't purge them. Staley also admitted he maintained contact with Epstein, who died in a New York prison cell in 2019, for seven years after his 2008 conviction. He said his last contact with Epstein was fall of 2015, when he and his wife sailed to Epstein's private island for lunch. Imagine. Let me sail to this child molester's private island and. And let's have a baloney sandwich. That trip occurred shortly before he joined Barclays. He said he had no contact with Epstein once he joined the bank in December of 2015. I don't believe that, not for one second. Barclays say the Financial Conduct Authority probe into Staley's links to Epstein makes no finding that he saw or was aware of any of Epstein's alleged crimes. Speaking in February last year, Staley said, for sure, with hindsight, with what we know now, I deeply regret having any relationship with Jeffrey. You deeply regret now, huh? You knew back then what you regret like everybody else, is that you were caught, that you were called out. That's what you really regret. A wealthy financier, pedophile, Epstein was found dead in a New York prison and In August of 2019, while awaiting trial on allegations that he trafficked girls as young as 14 for sex.

Host: Bobby Capucci
Date: April 12, 2026
Episode Theme:
This expansive episode tackles the persistent lack of transparency surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s extensive criminal enterprise, exposes media and government complicity, and offers in-depth commentary on systemic failures and recent legal developments. Using current media articles as springboards, Capucci dissects both mainstream narratives and fringe conspiracy theories, centering survivors’ stories while scrutinizing the financial and political enablers who kept Epstein shielded for decades.
Analysis of Epstein-Related Media Coverage:
Capucci takes a critical look at a recent NPR article on why Epstein conspiracies endure, interrogating both the article’s framing and broader media failures.
Debunking "Conspiracy Theory" Labels:
The host fiercely defends the seriousness of Epstein’s crimes and the factual basis behind many so-called “conspiracies,” arguing that institutional secrecy breeds suspicion.
Financial and Political Networks:
The episode highlights the pivotal enabling roles of elite financiers and politicians in facilitating and covering up Epstein’s crimes, focusing particularly on new lawsuit filings.
Critique of Performative Justice:
Recent lawsuits and settlements (e.g., against JP Morgan and the US Virgin Islands) are scrutinized for being mere cash grabs, with little real justice for survivors or criminal accountability for accomplices.
Timestamps: 01:30–13:45, 15:10–27:10
Capucci dissects NPR’s discussion of Epstein conspiracies, immediately calling out the “conspiracy theory” framing:
“Maybe if the federal government was a little more transparent about what happened that day in the jail, maybe there wouldn’t be so many conspiracy theories.” (03:02)
Media Hypocrisy:
Both left- and right-leaning outlets are called out for weaponizing the case to score political points rather than seek justice, to the detriment of survivors:
“All of these women who have had their lives ruined, they're left to pick up the pieces while all of these idiots play their game of thrones.” (06:50)
On Conspiracy vs. Fact:
Capucci insists that many so-called “conspiracies” about Epstein—like his elite social connections and transnational trafficking activities—are proven facts, not wild speculation.
“Let me break it down for you. There's no conspiracy theory here. Jeffrey Epstein was involved with some of the most elite people in the world... Point blank, period. No conspiracy theory.” (05:28)
Cynicism Toward Authority:
Reflecting on “fake ass war in Iraq” and historic failures, Capucci positions himself as skeptical of all official narratives:
“I take [everything] with a grain of salt ... there is a reason I don’t watch TV when it comes to media or the news.” (04:28)
Timestamps: 07:15–13:45, 13:46–27:10
Both Sides Guilty:
The host laments “confirmation bias” and the way partisans on all sides use the Epstein story as a cudgel, obscuring facts and exploiting survivor suffering.
Critique of Community Heroes:
Capucci is harsh on those like Denise George (former USVI Attorney General) who, in his view, pursued settlements rather than criminal prosecutions:
“Denise George is nothing more than another opportunist who was circling like a vulture around the corpse.” (31:00)
Call for Accountability Across Political Lines:
Capucci advocates for exposing and prosecuting every enabler, regardless of political party:
“I do not care. I’m not in the business of worrying about these politicians when unfavorable news breaks. I want every single person who was involved in this to be exposed and to face justice.” (25:56)
Timestamps: 30:02–47:16
New Lawsuit Exposes Banker’s Ties:
The host details fresh legal filings alleging deep ties between former Barclays/JP Morgan exec Jess Staley and Epstein, based on thousands of emails and repeated visits:
“If you really think Jess Staley and Jeffrey Epstein weren’t homies and they weren’t breaking bread behind the scenes, I don’t know what to tell you.” (32:32)
Financial System Complicity:
Staley and JP Morgan are portrayed as active participants in facilitating Epstein’s crimes through enabling structures, not just passive service providers:
“JP Morgan, Deutsche bank, these were the banks of choice for Jeffrey Epstein ... they don’t have any problem making money on the back of scumbag pieces of like Jeffrey Epstein.” (33:18)
Disturbing Details:
Specifics from lawsuits:
Selective Accountability:
The host draws sharp contrasts with how "regular people" would be prosecuted via RICO, while elites get only civil penalties and golden parachutes.
Timestamps: 27:10, 47:16 (closing)
Distrust in Cash Settlements:
Monetary awards to governments (such as the US Virgin Islands) and politicians are contrasted with the lived trauma of survivors who still lack justice:
“They took money directly out of the hands and pockets of these survivors ... $105 million that went into the bank account ... into the hands of some scumbag politicians.” (38:15)
Call to Pressure Institutions:
The episode closes with a commitment to continue investigating co-conspirators and holding both media and legal systems to account, regardless of backlash.

Capucci’s tone is:

Capucci’s mission is clear: to keep survivor justice at the center, strip away narrative obfuscation, and urge listeners to keep pressing for actual criminal consequences—regardless of whose reputation falls.
