Podcast Host
Boss, what's the most dreaded question that you can get when you tell people you host a podcast called the Lapsed Fan? Ugh. It's what is it about? And why is that, do you think? Because to like pro wrestling is to lose the respect of others. Now what if we told you there's a podcast that explains exactly why that is and why it's kind of deserved? For over a decade, we've taken fact finding missions through the thicket of half truths that is wrestling history. We watch old matches, call out carnies, laugh at our own jokes, and have so much fun doing it that some people actually can't handle it. Think wrestling is an escape from real life? Think again. Same power games, same office politics, same people lying to your face. Just with entrance music and absolutely no company health insurance under any circumstances. All I offer is opportunity, not benefits. As do we, Vince. The Lapsed Fan Podcast. Come for the wrestling history. Stay for the uncomfortable truth about why it used to be better and why you still care.

What's up everyone? And welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. AP has gotten their hands on some documentation about Jeffrey Epstein's death and the frantic aftermath that occurred directly following old egg Dick dying. Now, nothing in these documents is going to sway me one way or the other. There's nothing here that you can sink your teeth into and say, ah, you know what? This was definitely a suicide. Especially when they failed to even mention Nicholas Tartaglioni and the fact that he was in a jail cell with Jeffrey Epstein. That should have never occurred. He should have never been in that jail cell in the first place. And if anybody believes that Epstein tried to kill himself that first time around it in that cell with Tartaglioni, they must be suffering from some kind of traumatic brain injury. Because a guy that is on the hook for a quadruple homicide should never, ever be in a cell with a guy like Jeffrey Epstein. And of course, the official narrative is Nicholas Tartaglioni is such a great guy that he tried to help Epstein out that first time around. Which is laughable considering Nicholas Tartaglioni is about £5,000 of juice head gorilla muscle. All the guy would have had to do is grab Epstein and say, look, you're not doing this. But somehow Epstein gets to a point where he has a noose around his neck and he starts the process of killing himself. But you want us to believe that Nicholas Tartaglioni wrote in like King Arthur here for the save. Is that really what you're pitching me? That this four time quadruple homicider is jumping in to be the white knight here? Because I'm having a hard time believing that. And the fact that nobody even talks about Nicholas Tartaglioni and him being in that cell is just bananas to me. And I don't know how it's not brought up more as a huge issue here. This is a big deal, folks. You can't have inmate like Jeffrey Epstein get stuck in a cell with somebody like Nicholas Tartaglioni. And then to try and pitch to me that he tried to kill himself while he was in that cell. I'm sorry, I just don't believe that. Now we can have the discussion about him killing himself or being killed or whatever. I'm very agnostic on that. But there's nothing in these new documents or revelations being shared by the AP that makes me believe that this was a suicide. Without a doubt. So let's get into this article from the ap and you folks will get the details and you can make up your own mind. Headline New details of Jeffrey Epstein's death and the frantic aftermath revealed in records obtained by the AP. And remember, the legacy media was scooped by 4chan. 4chan reported Jeffrey Epstein's death like 38 minutes before it was reported by the legacy media. So imagine how pissed they were when they got scooped by a bunch of incel neckbeards over on 4chan. That must have hit the activist journalist right in the fields, huh? This article was authored by Michael R. Sisak and Michael Balsamo. Two weeks before ending his life, allegedly Jeffrey Epstein sat in the corner of his Manhattan jail cell with his hand over his ears, desperate to muffle the sound of a toilet that wouldn't stop running. So like every other inmate that goes to jail who has never been there before. Oh, it's a bit of a system shock, man. I'm very surprised by that. I thought that he'd go in there and he'd integrate right away. You know, rich guy like Epstein be loving jail. Said nobody ever is. This Supposed to be news. Epstein was agitated and unable to sleep, jail officials observed in records newly obtained by the Associated Press. He called himself a coward and complained about how he was struggling to adapt to life behind bars following his July 2019 arrest on federal sex trafficking and conspiracy charges. His life of luxury reduced to a concrete and steel cage. You see how they're framing this already? They're framing this as this is the definitive evidence that Epstein killed himself. But what it really is is them trying to craft that narrative. Let's see the video. What did Bill Barr see? Let's see the whole entire video. Let's be completely transparent and let's move on. There are plenty of other topics that we can talk about besides Jeffrey Epstein's death. And if they want to end all the BS conspiracy nonsense, then there's one way to do it. Be transparent. Show the video. Release everything that you have. Nothing redacted. These aren't state secrets. There is no reason that the government doesn't release every single thing they have on Jeffrey Epstein. Unless, of course, they're hiding something. And. And considering their past behavior in this case, does anyone think that they're being completely honest with us? The disgraced financier was under psychological observation at the time for a suicide attempt just days earlier that left his neck bruised and scraped. Yet Even after a 31 hour stint on suicide watch, Epstein insisted he wasn't suicidal, telling a psychologist he he had a wonderful life and would be crazy to end it. Not one mention of Nicholas Tartaglioni. Not one. Right here in this paragraph where it should be mentioned. It's not. And I have to ask myself, why not? Is that not a big part of the story for the legacy media? And if it's not, well, it's just another example of them not understanding all of the intricacies of this story, all of the nuances that go into it. And if you're not going to talk about all of the major sticking points, then why should anyone believe your Overall narrative? On August 10, 2019, Epstein was dead. Nearly four years later, the AP has obtained more than 4,000 pages of documents related to Epstein's death from the Federal Bureau of Prisons under the Freedom of Information Act. They include a detailed psychological reconstruction of of the events leading to Epstein's suicide, as well as his health history, internal agency reports, emails, memos, and other records. Taken together, the documents the AP obtained Thursday provide the most complete accounting to date of Epstein's detention and death and its chaotic aftermath. The records help to dispel the many conspiracy Theories surrounding Epstein's suicide, underscoring how fundamental failings at the Bureau of Prisons, including severe staffing shortages and employees cutting corners, contributed to Epstein's death. Bingo. That's exactly what they're doing here. Why is the AP running cover for the federal government? And furthermore, say all of that is true and that Jeffrey Epstein's death was the result of bad management, staff shortages, and the rest of it? Well, who paid the price for that? Did anybody go to jail for that? Who lost their job? Nobody went to jail. So how are you going to tell us there was malfeasance on behalf of the jail, yet there's no penalties for anybody that was involved. And we always knew that this was going to be what they tried to say, that it was a systemic failure on behalf of the Bureau of Prisons and that it was just all a bunch of mistakes, a bunch of coincidences that that led up to this. No mention of the cameras, no mention of Jeffrey Epstein being marked in as an African American. It's just such a joke. They shed new light on the federal prison agency's muddled response after Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell at the now shuttered Metropolitan Correctional center in New York City. In one email, a prosecutor involved in Epstein's criminal case complained about a lack of information from the Bureau of Prisons and in the critical hours after his death, writing that it was frankly unbelievable that the agency was issuing public press releases before telling us basic information so that we can relay it to his attorneys who can relay it to his family. In another email, a high ranking Bureau of Prisons official made a spurious suggestion to the agency's director that news reporters must have been paying jail employees for information about Epstein's death because they were reporting details of the agency's failings, impugning the ethics of journalists and the agency's own workers. Well, it was reported on 4chan before the AP figured it out, right? Or before ABC swooped in to break the news. So maybe somebody was giving information out. Who knows? But that's not going to deter us from the actual facts here. Why was he in the cell with Tartaglioni? Why were those cameras broken? Why you were. Why was he checked in as an African American inmate? And why did he tell a bunch of people that he wasn't suicidal? The documents also provide a fresh window into Epstein's behavior during his 36 days in jail, including his previously unreported attempt to connect by mail with another high profile pedophile, Larry Nassar, the US Gymnastics team doctor Convicted of sexually abusing scores of of athletes, Epstein's letter to Nasser was found returned to sender in the jail's mailroom weeks after Epstein's death. It appeared he mailed it out and it was returned back to him. The investigator who found the letter told a prison official by email, I am not sure if I should open it or should we hand it over to anyone. And should anybody be shocked by that? Birds of a feather and all right, sick bastards are gonna. Sick bastard. And all of these people, they all pal around together. Now, I'm not saying Epstein and Nasser were part of some kind of group or anything like that, but all of these people, they're palling around together at parties, at events, at these charity events, and they're making pretend that they're these great people who care about society, but the reality is, they don't give a damn about society. All they care about is getting richer. The letter itself was not included among the documents turned over to the ap. The night before Epstein's death, he excused himself from a meeting with his lawyers to make a telephone call to his family. According to a memo from a unit manager, Epstein told a jail employee that he was calling his mother, who had been dead for 15 years. At that point, we don't know what that means. We're talking about people that have been using code word in all of their language for how long? White wine, massage, this, that, the other thing. Now all of a sudden, we should take him at his word? Why? Because it fits your narrative that you're trying to craft here. Sorry, I'm not buying it. Who the hell was his mother? Was that his handler? Epstein's death put increased scrutiny on the Bureau of Prisons and led the agency to close the Metropolitan Correctional center in 2021. It spurred an AP investigation that has uncovered deep, previously unreported problems with within the agency, the Justice Department's largest, with more than 30,000 employees, 158,000 inmates, and an $8 billion annual budget. Notice how the AP did a big story on the prisons. How about you do a big story on all the people that were palling around with Epstein? Where's your big story on Bill Richardson? Where's your big story on George Mitchell? Oh, that's right. Those are your faves. You can't go after your faves. Right? An internal memo, undated but sent after Epstein's death, attributed problems at the jail to seriously reduced staffing levels, improper or lack of training, and follow up and oversight. The memo also detailed steps the Bureau of Prisons has taken to remedy lapses. Epstein suicide exposed including requiring supervisors to review surveillance video to ensure officers made required cell checks. Here's an idea. Have a boss on duty. There's no sergeant on duty here that's in charge of all of that. Of course there is. And of course there was. And none of those people got in trouble. So if all of these jail policies were stepped on, how come nobody got in trouble? All we got is this scathing report and this facility closed down. That's it. Oh, that's right. The guards who allegedly fell asleep. They caught themselves a plea deal too, huh? Okay. Must be nice.

Epstein's lawyer, Martin Weinberg, said people detained at the facility endured medieval conditions of confinement that no American defendant should have been subjected to. It's sad, it's tragic that it took this kind of event to to finally cause the Bureau of Prisons to close this regrettable institution, weinberg said Thursday in a phone interview. The workers tasked with guarding Epstein the night that he killed himself, allegedly Tova Noel and Michael Thomas were charged with lying on prison records to make it seem as though they had made the required checks before Epstein was found lifeless. Epstein's cellmate did not return after a court hearing the day before, and prison officials failed to pair another prisoner with him, leaving him alone, prosecutors allege. They were sitting at their desks just 15ft away from Epstein's cell, shopped online for furniture and motorcycles, and walked around the unit's common area instead of making required rounds every 30 minutes. Where they getting all this money? I thought that these guards were underpaid so they have money to sit around and shop for furniture and and motorcycles. Must be nice. During 12 hour period, both appeared to have been asleep. According to their indictment, Noel and Thomas admitted to falsifying the log entries but avoided prison time under a deal with federal prosecutors. Copiers of some of those logs were included among the documents released on Thursday with the guard's signatures redacted. Another investigation led by the justice department inspector general is still ongoing. And the devil's in the details, isn't it? So all of the files that the AP were given were carefully curated and handed over in hopes that AP would help them build a narrative, and that narrative is now. Well, obviously, Epstein killed himself. And again, look, I'm not saying that he didn't kill himself. I do not know. But this is not enough to sway me. And for them to try and present this as some kind of solidifying evidence is absolutely ridiculous. Epstein arrived at Metropolitan Correctional center on July 6, 2019. He spent 22 hours in the jail's general population before officials moved him into special housing unit Due to the significant increase in media coverage and awareness of his notoriety among inmate population, According to the psychological reconstruction of his death. First of all, how. How is it that he wasn't put into protective right away? So you arrest this guy, he's a billionaire, he has all of these charges of molesting kids, and you mainline them. Whose idea was that? That person should be fired. See, here's the problem. You can come up here and talk all this nonsense about all of these failures that happened within the institution, and that's good. We should know what our tax dollars are doing. But at the same time, to try and pitch this definitively as evidence about what happened in that jail cell is a bridge way too far for me. Epstein later said he was upset about having to wear an orange jumpsuit provided to inmates in the special housing unit and complained about being treated like he was a bad guy. Despite being well behaved behind bars, he requested a brown uniform for his near daily visits with his lawyers. A Imagine this guy crying about the. The jumpsuit. Shut up, bro. Lucky you weren't put under the jail, you sick degenerate. During an initial health screening, the 66 year old said that he had 10 plus female sexual partners within the previous five years. You mean within the previous five days. Medical records showed he was suffering from sleep apnea, constipation, hypertension, lower back pain and pre diabetes, and had been previously treated for chlamydia. Ah, my man had the clap, huh? Does that shock anybody? When you're raping seven girls a day, chances are something bad's coming your way. Epstein did make some attempts to adapt to his jailhouse surroundings. The records show he signed up for a kosher meal and told prison officials through his lawyer that he wanted permission to exercise outside two days before he was found dead. Estate Epstein bought $73.85 worth of items from the prison commissary including an AM FM radio and headphones. He had $566 left in his account when he died. Epstein's outlook worsened when a judge denied him bail on July 18, 2019, raising the prospect that he'd remain locked up until trial and possibly longer. If convicted, he faced up to 45 years in prison. Four days later, Epstein was found on the floor of his cell with a strip of bed sheet around his neck. Epstein survived. His injuries didn't require going to the hospital. He was placed on suicide watch and later psychiatric observation. Jail officers noted in logs that they observed him sitting at the edge of the bed, lost in thought and sitting with his head against the wall. Well, that's pretty common. Unfortunately, I have known many people who have been in prison who have been in jail, and they all tell me that when they first got there, they went through depression themselves and none of them were looking at 45 years. You know, people looking at 5, 7, 10 year bids and the stories they tell me about their mental state, all bad. So definitely, if you're looking at a gigantic bid like Epstein, it's not going to be fun. But with Epstein, he was so narcissistic. I have a very hard time believing that he killed himself, especially because he thought that he was going to get off. He had all of these documents, he had all of this information. He thought that he could maneuver himself into a position where he was going to beat these charges once again. And I don't think that he was in jail long enough for the true reality to set in and for him to take the grand step of. Of killing himself. I'm sorry, it just doesn't track with me. And then for them to talk about the first suicide attempt and not mention Tartaglioni again, how can we take anything they're talking about seriously? And I'm not trying to say that to be a dick. Right? I'm being serious. How do the authors think that we're going to take it seriously when they don't even mention the cameras? They don't mention anything. So it's absolutely just disgusting to try and pitch a narrative such as, well, this is definitive that Epstein killed himself, when it's not. None of this stuff is unknown. And honestly, it really looks like narrative crafting from the AP to help try and get the story moving in the right direction for the government. And you know how it works. Aw, come on. That was all just a big conspiracy theory. Here's the evidence, because we told you so. Meanwhile, there's really no new evidence and for me, at this point, I don't want to hear about this one did that or that one did this. I. I want to see the video. Okay, show us the video that Bill Barr says he watched and let's see it. Release it in its entirety. If there are privacy concerns, blur out some faces. But besides that, what the hell are you guys waiting for? Epstein expressed frustration with the noise of the jail and his lack of sleep. His first few weeks at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, Epstein didn't have his sleep apnea breathing apparatus. He used to. Then the toilet in his cell started acting up. So that's enough for him to kill himself, huh? Your toilet's acting up, so you're going to hang yourself? Yeah, you're going to need to do better than that, ap, if you want me to believe this narrative. He was still left in the same cell with a broken toilet. The jail's chief psychologist wrote in an email the next day. Please move him to the cell next door when he returns from legal, as the toilet still does not work. And, and look, the toilet should not be broken in any of these jail cells. Our tax dollars are being spent at a stupid rate. And you mean to tell me we can't have toilets that aren't backed up in federal jail cells? Get your shit together. The day before Epstein ended his life, a federal Judge unsealed about 2,000 pages of documents and a sexual abuse lawsuit against him. That development, prison officials observed, the further eroded Epstein's previous elevated status. That, combined with a lack of significant interpersonal connections and the ideas of potentially spending his life in prison were likely factors contributing to Mr. Epstein's suicide, officials wrote. Well, I think I'm pretty clear about where I stand with this narrative, and that is, I don't believe it. This is all stuff we knew already, and it's just packaged a little different. And they're using some more documents to try and push this narrative home. But if you're not going to tell the whole story, how can I take you serious? Lies of omission are still lies. So the question is, what do you folks think? All right, everybody that's going to do it for this one. All of the information that goes with the episode can be found in the description box.

Podcast Summary: The Epstein Chronicles
Episode: The Death Of Jeffrey Epstein And The Documents Obtained By The AP
Host: Bobby Capucci
Date: June 20, 2026
This episode dissects newly obtained documents from the Associated Press regarding Jeffrey Epstein’s death and the chaotic aftermath at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) in Manhattan. Host Bobby Capucci challenges the mainstream narrative, critically examines gaps and omissions in the official story, and questions the transparency and motivations behind the AP’s reporting. Capucci discusses why these documents do little to quell public suspicion and instead highlight systemic failures and possible efforts to shape public perception.

Timestamps: 08:01 – 13:44
Timestamps: 13:45 – 22:00
Timestamps: 22:01 – 23:21
This episode provides a critical, detailed counter-narrative to the Associated Press’s coverage of Epstein’s jail death. Capucci argues that the latest trove of government records does little to explain away lingering doubts or address key questions about Epstein's death. The host's demand for genuine transparency—especially the release of unredacted video and records—sets a standard for how such high-profile, institutionally complicated cases ought to be treated by both authorities and the press.
