Podcast Host - Epstein Chronicles
What's up everyone, and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. One of the most absurd alibis in history was given to us by Prince Andrew when he told us he was at the pizza joint up in Woking. But according to Woking, who did more of an investigation than Scotland Yard, that doesn't seem to be the truth. There is no record of Prince Andrew ever being in Woking for a pizza night with his daughter, and there's no evidence of that. As far as anybody coming forward, witnesses or otherwise, saying they saw the Prince there. And I would think that would be pretty significant. No, you're out getting a slice up and Woking and the Prince of England's there. I would guess that's something you would remember. But I think the real story here is that the pizza place did more of an investigation than the police. Now, if that doesn't enrage you, I don't know what will. Today's article was published by BBC and the headline pizza Express held inquiry into Andrew's woken claim. This article was authored by Victoria Derbyshire and Ewan Somerville. Pizza Express held an internal inquiry into whether Andrew Mountbatten Windsor had visited its restaurant in Woking, BBC News Night has learned the former prince claimed in his infamous 2019 Newsnight interview that he had been at the branch in Surrey on the day he was alleged to have slept with Virginia Roberts, one of late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's survivors. And look, her story has always held up and I had the fortunate luck to know Virginia in real life and I had the fortunate luck to speak to her about this very topic. And she has been very consistent the whole entire time with what she said about Andrew and how everything went down. And from Andrew, all we get is a bunch of lies and inconsistencies. So why would anyone believe him? That's the real question. BBC Newsnight has now discovered the pizza chain investigated the claim and found no evidence that he had while or had not been there. Our research also found no record of anyone seeing him there on the night in 2001. That's because he wasn't there. I know. Breaking news. Call me Walter Cronkite. This guy was never in the pizza joint. He was at that pizza joint as many times as I've been. And the fact that anyone would believe anything coming out of his mouth when just about everything he says is verifiably is crazy to me. If anybody is guilty of being an idiot, if anybody's guilty of lying in public, it's certainly Prince Andrew. Mountbatten Windsor did not respond to her request for comment, but he has strenuously denied any wrongdoing. Newsnight has revisited the 2019 interview in light of the Epstein files and Mountbatten Windsor's arrest in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office by Thames Valley police. He was subsequently released under investigation. So, of course that means he's still being investigated. But the issue here is he was never investigated initially. That's the big problem. And the fact that Scotland Yard and the English government protected him for all these years, that's coming out now, and it's a gigantic problem for the English establishment, and it should be, because anybody that's protecting Andrew, with all these allegations out there, with all this evidence that's available, can certainly be considered as somebody that's enabling. Jeffrey Epstein, at least adjacently. Roberts alleged that she was forced to have sex with Mountbatten Windsor three times, including when she was age 17. One of these alleged to have taken place on on March 10, 2001, when Robert said she dined with him, danced with him at a nightclub and gone on to have sex with him at the house of Glenn Maxwell, a friend of then prince in Belgravia, central London. And if you recall, in the aftermath of that, they told us that couldn't happen because, you know, the bathtub was too small and that Andrew had never been there, he doesn't know anything about Belgravia, never been to Glenn Maxwell's house. Imagine trying to pitch that as your narrative. And Virginia has an actual picture of you with your hand around her waist. At Gain Maxwell's house. What were you guys there for? And if it wasn't anything that was evil or bad, then why are you denying it? We have a picture, we have the evidence of it. Why are you lying? And you see, that's my big problem. You show yourself to be a liar time and time again. Don't be mad when nobody believes your ass. In his News Night interview, Mountbatten Windsor said he had instead taken his daughter Princess Beatrice to a party at Pizza Express and Woking at 4pm or 5pm in the afternoon on that day before spending the night at home. Yeah, because that's easily verifiable, right? Were you or weren't you at the pizza place? Well, according to the pizza place, he wasn't there. Now if he was at home or not, who knows? I doubt it. And that's because I believe what Virginia told us. And look, I don't think it's just Virginia's word, right? She has the picture and that picture is a big ass deal. People might not want to admit it, but that picture is a big ass deal. It puts Prince Andrew at the scene of the crime with the person who's accusing him. Then you go on and look at all the other lies he's told throughout the years. How do you come away with anything besides Prince Andrew being guilty? And in my opinion, he most certainly is. The vast majority of the interview was broadcast, but a small amount of material was not included because of time constraints. This included Mountbatten Windsor talking in more detail about Pizza Express, including a claim that his staff had looked at a diary to find out more information. Oh yeah, I'm sure you wrote in your diary that you were going to Pizza Express. It was so world bending and life changing that you went to a pizza place with common folk that you wrote about it in your diary. Who believes this dude? And if you're somebody that does believe him, step forward. I'd love to hear from you. I'd taken Beatrice to a Pizza Express in Woking, he said in the interview. This has all been worked out by my staff have looked at the diary and everything else. The Duchess was away, I think United States somewhere. And we had a very simple rule at that stage. The children had one or other of us for all, most of, well, as often as we could manage. Oh, Father of the Year, Prince Andrew, Father of the year because he says he takes his daughter to a pizza place in Woking and he never actually even did that. So if one of us was out, the other one was in and Then occasionally they would have both of us. On this particular occasion, she was away and I was at home. So she was away for her daughter's birthday. Like, unless it's something that's world bending, why would you not be home for your daughter's birthday? I don't understand. Then again, I don't understand any of Prince Andrew's story, to tell you the truth. Mountbatten Windsor's mention of Pizza Express in the interview made headlines worldwide in 2019, with some newspapers labeling it an alibi. Oh, hell of an alibi, huh? Newsnight has now been told that in 2019, the senior management team of Pizza Express looked into the plausibility of Mountbatten Windsor's claim because they believed it was a matter of public interest. Bosses held an internal inquiry that involved looking for records from that time period, none of which could be found, and trying to talk to past members of staff and local management. The manager of the Woking branch in 2001 has since left the business, so cannot be spoken to. It's understood. Look, if anybody saw Prince Andrew, they would have come forward and said that this man was not at Woking. He was not at a pizza place. In my opinion, he was at Glenn Maxwell's house, assaulting Virginia. Hey, everybody.

Download the app today following its internal inquiry, the chain concluded it had found no evidence to suggest Mountbatten Windsor had visited and was telling the truth, and nothing to suggest that he was not. Newsnight had made extensive inquiries to see if there was any record of customer or staff members having seen him at the Pizza Express restaurant, but has found no evidence of him being there. Well, that's because he wasn't there. I'm sorry, but that's the truth. This guy has been nothing but a liar from the jump and the authorities that have been covering for him, they're a joke too. Metro Police, Scotland Yard, the whole lot of them. One of the routes we tried was submitting a Freedom of Information request to the Metropolitan Police asking if any Royal Protection officer accompanied the former Prince to the Woking branch 25 years ago. In response, the force said it can neither confirm nor deny whether it holds this information, citing national security among other reasons. Oh, what, you thought this fucking cover up was germane to America? Only wrong. This cover up is worldwide and if people over in the UK think that their government's not in on it, I got really bad news for you. Confirming or denying that information is held would reveal whether protection had been afforded to a specific individual other than the King and the Prime Minister, the Met said in a reply to us. This is despite Scotland Yard previously referring to Mountbatten Windsor's close protection officer, including in a press statement issued in February. The mets response has drawn criticism from Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey. Of course the police are rightly very careful about giving any information about who they give special protection to, he told the BBC. I completely understand that and it's right. But too often we see these types of neither confirm nor deny answers where there really isn't a legitimate security reason. And I think that's what's happening here and I agree with that. There's no legitimate security reason. What a bunch of bs. He called for an exception to be made by the force to reveal the information. I really can't see how it's revealing that Andrew had police protection 25 years ago and how that would play into the hands of terrorists, as the Met claims. He added. Roberts died by suicide, allegedly in April of 2025, age 41. Mountbatten Windsor's military titles and royal patronages were removed by the late queen in 2022, and he was stripped of his prince title last year. He also left his Windsor Mansion Royal Lodge amid pressure from the Royal Family over his links to pedophile financier Epstein. He has consistently and strenuously denied any wrongdoing. Well, nobody believes him. And I think at this point, it's time for Scotland Yard, the Metropolitan Police and everybody else involved to be more transparent. Will they be? Well, that is the question. All right, folks, that's gonna do it for this one. All the information that goes with this episode can be found in the description box.

Host: Bobby Capucci
Date: July 7, 2026
In this episode, Bobby Capucci takes aim at Prince Andrew’s infamous “Pizza Express in Woking” alibi—a cornerstone of his public defense against allegations from Virginia Roberts (Giuffre) relating to Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking network. Capucci highlights the bizarre reality: the pizza restaurant took investigating Andrew’s whereabouts on the critical night far more seriously than Scotland Yard or the Metropolitan Police ever did. Drawing from BBC reporting, Capucci unpacks how the restaurant found no evidence to support Andrew’s claim, delves into the failures of British authorities, and reaffirms his belief in Virginia Roberts’ account.
On the absurdity of the alibi:
“If anybody is guilty of being an idiot, if anybody's guilty of lying in public, it's certainly Prince Andrew.” (Capucci, [03:13])
On Pizza Express doing more than the police:
“The real story here is that the pizza place did more of an investigation than the police. Now, if that doesn't enrage you, I don't know what will.” (Capucci, [01:11])
Skepticism of Andrew’s diary alibi:
“Oh yeah, I'm sure you wrote in your diary that you were going to Pizza Express. It was so world bending and life changing that you went to a pizza place with common folk that you wrote about it in your diary. Who believes this dude?” (Capucci, [06:23])
On the protection of elites:
“The fact that Scotland Yard and the English government protected him for all these years… gigantic problem for the English establishment, and it should be.” (Capucci, [03:53])
On government excuses:
“There’s no legitimate security reason. What a bunch of bs. He called for an exception to be made by the force to reveal the information.” (Capucci quoting Ed Davey, [12:41])
Bobby Capucci’s style throughout this episode is biting, skeptical, and impassioned, drawing on years of close following and personal connection with the case’s central survivors. The language is direct and colloquial, calling out official hypocrisy and highlighting the gulf between public claims and the reality unearthed by careful reporting (even from a pizza franchise). Capucci doesn’t mince words about Prince Andrew or the institutions that have failed to hold him accountable.
If you haven’t listened to this episode, you’ll come away with an acute sense of how unlikely and unsupported Prince Andrew’s alibi is, the farcical nature of elite protection in the UK, and the tragic perseverance—and loss—of Epstein survivor Virginia Roberts. You’ll also see why Capucci and many listeners consider official investigations inadequate, bordering on a cover-up, with more integrity found in a chain restaurant’s internal review than at the top levels of British policing.
