Boss, what's the most dreaded question that you can get when you tell people you host a podcast called the Lapsed Fan? Ugh. It's what is it about? And why is that, do you think? Because to like pro wrestling is to lose the respect of others. Now what if we told you there's a podcast that explains exactly why that is and why it's kind of deserved? For over a decade, we've taken fact finding missions through the thicket of half truths that is wrestling history. We watch old matches, call out carnies, laugh at our own jokes, and have so much fun doing it that some people actually can't handle it. Think wrestling is an escape from real life? Think again. Same power games, same office politics, same people lying to your face. Just with entrance music and absolutely no company health insurance under any circumstances. All I offer is opportunity, not benefits. As do we, Vince. The Lapsed Fan Podcast Come for the wrestling history. Stay for the uncomfortable truth about why it used to be better and why you still care.

Brignac, let's start to Hawaii. Question yeah, just briefly. Walk me through your professional career. Answer I mean, my first job as a hostess, I worked at like a little gift store in North Carolina. In Hawaii, I worked at a food truck. I worked at a bikini store. I worked at Banana Republic as a hostess at the W Hotel in Honolulu. And then I was a personal assistant for Jeffrey Epstein and Glenn Maxwell. Question Any other positions you've held at other companies? Answer I worked at a mortgage company in Hawaii for a little bit. I think that's it. Question the committee has reviewed the documents or also that you may have worked at a design company. I started an interior design company. And what year was that design company established? I don't remember exactly. It was during my time working for Jeffrey. And what was the design company called? SLK Designs. And is the company still in operation? No. When did the company dissolve? I believe in 2015. Question why did it dissolve? Darren Endyke asked me if I could turn the company over to someone else. And I said no, I didn't want. It was my company and I asked for it to be dissolved. Question it was your company in what way? It was my initials. So I was like, I don't want my initials, you know, someone else to be using my initials as their company. Question what position did you have in the company? Answer Owner, I guess. Principal. Question okay, who did Darren Indyk ask you to turn the company over to? Answer I don't remember the name. Question when did he ask you to turn the company over? I think it was 2015, probably the same time that it was dissolved. Question did he tell you why he asked you to do that? Answer no. Question did you ask him why? Answer no. Question Tell me about the first time you interacted with Jeffrey Epstein. Answer the very first time was in la. He called me on the phone after Frederick Fichai introduced us. And I spoke with him and he said he was going to be in LA and wanted me to fly out for a casting. And he was at Victoria's Secret Model Scout. And then his office flew me out on a red eye from Honolulu to la. And I went to his hotel room at the Shutters on the beach, got there in the morning, went to his hotel room, gave him my. He had just. He was like in his bedroom. I gave him my portfolio. He told me to undress. And I was like, it's Victoria's Secret. Okay. So I got down into my bra and underwear and did a turn. And he said, you know, thank you. I have to go to a meeting now. You're welcome to come back at 4, you know, if you like. And I didn't really think anything of it. I was flying back to Hawaii that same day and. And I'd never been to la, so I didn't go back. And I remember him calling me around 4 probably and asking me where I was. And I was just like, I'm walking around Santa Monica before my flight. And he was visibly annoyed that I hadn't come back. And he mumbled something under his breath. And then I never heard from him again. And then months later, when I was working as a hostess at the W Hotel in Honolulu, there was a woman there that was interning at the front desk. And she befriended me, learned about my story about being divorced and dis. Fellowshipped and trapped in Hawaii. And she told me about a wealthy couple that was looking for a personal assistant and if I'd be interested in the job. And I was like, sounds like a dream come true. Yeah. And then she organized a flight for her and I to fly from Honolulu to Jeffrey's private island. And he met us at the dock. When we arrived, we took a boat over to the island and. And I remember seeing him and thinking, oh, shit, it's the Victoria's Secret guy. Like, I hope he doesn't remember me, because I didn't. Clearly didn't like me. He was annoyed with me, and now I won't get the job. How did you meet Frederick Fakai, the Neiman Marcus in Honolulu? I was getting my makeup done at the. One of the makeup counters and telling the makeup artist that I was trying to be a model. And she's like, oh, you should really meet Frederick Fakai. He would really like your look. He's here promoting his hair care line. So I knew I was obsessed with fashion and magazines at the time, so I knew who he was. And she introduced me and he said that he was doing a hair show in Maui, like in a couple days in the next week, and would love for me to be in his show. So I flew to Maui and there was no hair show. Question. Who paid for the flight? I don't remember. I assume he did. What year might this have been? It would have been late 2000 or early 2001. And what were you told about Jeffrey Epstein prior to meeting him? That he was a Victoria's Secret model scout. Frederick asked me if I could introduce me to his Friend that was a Victoria's Secret model scout. When did you first meet Mr. Epstein in person? Answer. At his hotel room in LA, at the shutters. Question. And can you describe to me how that took place? Can you set the scene? Who opened the door, walk you through Anyone else present? Answer. So he just had a massage. He just gotten a massage. And a masseuse answered the door, and it was a large, like, suite, so it had a separate living room and a half bath and then the bedroom. And he showed me in and said that he just got a massage. And he showed me to, like, the half bath so I could freshen up from the red eye. And then she took me into his bedroom. And I remember him being on the bed. I don't remember if he was, like, over the covers or under the covers. And that's where I gave him my portfolio. And he was, like, lying on the bed and looking through my portfolio, and I undressed. Mr. Timmons, what year was that? Kellan? Late 2000s or early 2001? Brignac asked a question. Now, who was the masseuse that let you in? I'm not sure. And you mentioned a friend reconnected you to Mr. Epstein months later. Who was that friend? Ms. Hamm, can we go off record for a second? Brignac, I'm going to ask the questions that are on the record first. Are we on the record or off the record right now? The reporter on the record. Ham. I have to. Gets cut off by Brignac. Okay, we'll go off the record. They get back. Brignac, we can go back on the record. Sarah Kellen. Her name was redacted. Brignac. Question. Thank you. How did you meet? Redacted. She was interning at the front desk at the W Hotel in Honolulu. Apparently, Jeffrey had gotten her the internship because he was friends with Tom Barack, who owned the hotel. Question. What did that friend tell you that persuaded you to reconnect with Mr. Epstein? Answer. Well, I didn't know that he was who she was introducing me to. She never told me his name. She just told me that was a. There was a wealthy couple in New York that was looking for a traveling assistant. And if I would be interested, she had taken some risque photos of me earlier, and I learned later that she sent them to Jeffrey and then started telling me about the job opportunity. Question. Can you provide any other details about the job opportunity and what an assistant meant? Here. Sorry, can you. Gets cut off by the person asking the questions. Ms. Brignac. Question. What did she tell you about the job opportunity? Not a Lot. Just that their current assistant was looking to leave, and they were looking for someone to replace her, and that they were based in New York. That was kind of it. You know, I was really desperately trying to get out of Hawaii, and. And I was going further and further into debt and had nowhere to go, and really nowhere to go. So it sounded like a good opportunity, and I trusted her. Question. Outside of those reasons, is there anything else about the job opportunity that was attractive to you? I really didn't have much information other than that. Now, Ms. Tolan asked the question. Question. And you said that she knew Jeffrey because he helped her get a job at the hotel. Is that correct? Answer. Correct. Question. And do you know how they knew each other prior to that or how that all played out? Answer. I don't. Question. Okay, now it's. Mr. Biggs, can I ask a question? I don't want to interrupt, but can I ask a question? Looking back on it, do you view this person as someone who might have been procuring on behalf of Mr. Epstein? Ham jumps in. I don't think she can speak to other victims, truly. And. And I'm not sure she would have the ability to answer that question. Biggs. I guess I'm not asking about the other person per se, whether they're a victim or not. I'm asking whether, in reflection, do you think she was facilitating luring you into Mr. Epstein's web? Mr. Timmons, was she compensated for it? Kellen Answers. I don't know. Timmons, do you think that she was in a sexual relationship with Epstein? Kellan. I don't know. She never talked about it. Back to Ms. Brignac. Question. So you mentioned meeting Mr. Epstein at his hotel room. What was your first impression? It's a good question. I didn't have a lot of interaction. It was just. It was pretty quick to me. I mean, it was obviously a little odd. Not like the typical castings that I've been on, being in the hotel room. But it seemed like he was there on business and the timing of it, and he just got a massage. So him being in the bedroom on the bed didn't, you know, it kind of made sense. And, you know, the masseuse was there, so it all kind of added up. But, yeah, I didn't really have, like, a very strong opinion at that point. Question. So he asked you to undress. What happens next? Question. I had just got into my bra and underwear, and that seemed logical since it was a Victoria's Secret casting. And I remember just, like, doing a little turn, turning around so he could see my body. And he flipped through my portfolio and then handed it back and was just like, thanks, you're welcome to come back at 4 o'. Clock. But I didn't really think anything of it. I was like, I didn't really see the point in coming back because he had already seen me. So I kinda just dismissed that and I didn't go back. Okay, so after you hear about the offer for the job to be the assistant to this wealthy couple, what happens next? Question. Redacted. Organized a flight for both her and I to fly from Hawaii to Jeffrey's island, and we arrived. Jeffrey picks us up at the dock and I recognized him from the casting and I was like, I hope he doesn't remember me because he didn't like me. He was clearly annoyed that I didn't come back, and then it's going to jeopardize me getting the job. And I never reminded him that we had met before. And I don't think he remembered me because he never brought it up. Question. Did you ever speak about it again? No. All right, folks, we're going to wrap up right here. And in the next episode, dealing with the topic, we're going to pick up where we left off. All the information that goes with this episode can be found in the description box.
