Hello gorgeous. I hope you are having a wonderful summer. The Everyday Style School is still on break, but I wanted to pop in and share some big news with you. If you saw the title of this episode and thought, what? No more capsule wardrobe guides. There's no way that's true. That's what they do. Well, I can guarantee you it is true. After more than 40 seasonal capsule wardrobe guides, I our team is not creating another one. And that is not the only change coming. I've got three big things to tell you about today, so let's get started. First of all, yes, I am really not kidding. We are retiring our capsule wardrobe guides. And real quick, I want to share why. First of all, the concept of rigid these are the only pieces I'm going to wear for the next three months. Kind of capsule wardrobes, they, they just feel done, they feel tired, and they feel kind of formulaic at this point. Like we get it all the tops go with all the bottoms. Ten years ago that was a mind blowing idea and now it just doesn't feel as fresh. Second, one of our big values at Everyday Style is helping women use more of what they already have. And putting out a full catalog every 12 weeks of hundreds of shopping links to 39 new P doesn't feel super aligned with that value. Now, there are reasons that we do that and I shared them in our member exclusive podcast. But the reality is we want to get away from the idea that being stylish means replacing your wardrobe constantly. The truth is, buying more doesn't automatically equal better style, and I'm going to talk more about that in a minute. But finally, our capsule wardrobe guides haven't just been capsule guides for a very long time. Over the last few years, we've been adding additional resources like the outfit calendars, a vacation packing guide, and more styling tips. Because like I just told you, what we have seen over and over is that more clothes aren't the answer to more style. The answer to more style is learning how to use what you already have and learning what to do with the new things that you buy. That is what actually improves your style, not just buying clothes in matching colors. And those are the kinds of things that we've been doing for quite some time. So capsule wardrobe just doesn't feel like it fully encompasses what we really create. So this summer we surveyed our members to see what they found valuable about the current guides and what they don't and what would help them best. And the good news is it is exactly aligned with the direction we were already thinking of so our capsule wardrobe guides are being replaced with seasonal style guides. Instead of being focused on here's what to buy this fall, it'll be here's how to be stylish. This season, we're keeping the things that our members said they couldn't live without, but we'll be focusing more on trend guidance because the biggest reason our members said they use the capsules is to help them get and stay current. And we really want to lean into that. I know it is confusing when you are a woman of a certain age. Like, can I wear this? Am I too old? Do I? Am I trying to look too young? What are women like me wearing right now? We get that. Also, there will be a bigger focus on putting great basics in your closet and really investing in those pieces because you know you will reach for them season after season, year after year, and not feel like you've got wardrobe whiplash every 12 weeks. There will also be more information on how to wear and how to style the trickier pieces each season. This summer, we included a few pages of styling tips in the guide and we got amazing feedback. One of our members said that she has owned a just relaxed button front shirt for years. It's been hanging in her closet and she's never worn it because she couldn't get it to look right. We did a whole page on how to style it and now she loves that shirt. That is the kind of information that moves the style needle, so to speak. So that's where we really want to put our energies and our resources. We want to give you the things that truly help you have more style, not just help you buy more stuff. So in a nutshell, we want these guides to help you use more of what you own, stay looking current, update your wardrobe thoughtfully, and know what to do with the clothes you buy. And we feel like a seasonal style guide is a better reflection of that. But that, my friend, is just the beginning. This isn't just a name change. It's part of a bigger shift in what the style circle is really all about. Until now, our membership has kind of worked. Like Netflix. You join, you come in, you take the classes you want, and we add new content all the time. And we are moving away from that. You may say. Why? Well, because it is overwhelming. There are too many ideas to consume at once, and over consuming information actually leaves you feeling worse and more confused and farther from the style that you really want. And the truth is, you don't join the style Circle because you want to come in and take as Many classes as possible. No, you join the Style Circle because you want transformation. You actually want to become stylish for life. And you want that to be easy, right? That's what I'm assuming, anyway. The thing is though, you need a plan to get there. And it is our job to give you a clearer plan. And that's what we have been working on. So what this means is that the Style Circle is becoming a style education membership built on mastering the five fundamental skills of style in order so that the knowledge you gain and the skills you learn build on each other in a non overwhelming way. And in the end, they add up to you becoming a stylish woman rather than being a woman who just tries to buy stylish outfits one at a time. I want you to get results quickly, but I want those results to last. And that happens by doing, not just consuming. Now, that does not mean we are not adding anything new. Not at all. I have a list a mile long of all the things I would like to create. But what it does mean is that we're being really strategic about the things we add and how we deliver it so that it supports you instead of overwhelms you. And does that mean that you can't come in and take whatever classes you want again? No, not at all. I was talking to a membership expert, quote unquote, a few weeks ago, and she was telling me that I had to. I had to. That was the only way to do it. I had to drip content, meaning that you could not move to the second class until you proved that you finished the first one. And I was kind of like, yeah, no, we're. We're not doing that. You're a grown woman. You can choose the path that works best for you. Now, I'm going to tell you the fastest and most effective way to get where you want to go and get the style and wardrobe you want. But if you want to come in and just kind of dabble and frankly make life harder, I am not going to stop you. Free will is a wonderful thing. Okay, now, the last bit of information that I want to share with you today. The Style circle is closing July 28th. It's not forever. It's just while we implement some of the changes I just told you about and add a few fun new features that I am super excited about to the membership. Our goal is to reopen early to mid September. When we reopen, the price will be going up to $97 per quarter. If you are a current Style Circle member or you become a member before we close the doors. This will not affect you at all. We never, ever, ever raise prices on current members. This is just for people joining the Style Circle when we reopen in September. And look, I get it. I know a price increase isn't nothing, but there is so much added value coming with it. Here's just a quick preview of a couple of things that we're working on this fall. We are adding a comprehensive class to help you find your best colors and see your perfect palette and all that good stuff. And we are adding more individual quick response style feedback and coaching inside of our community. And we're also adding a new step by step plan for you to have better style in 30 days without buying a single thing. This isn't just adding more stuff just for the sake of adding more stuff. We have looked at our membership and said how do we get women to master style as quickly and easily as possible? And that's the kind of content that we are adding. We want the Style Circle to pay for itself both in the money you save by not buying more things that you're not going to wear, but also in the time it takes you to find things that you look good in and the time it takes you to get dressed in the morning. And also the the value of feeling stylish and confident every single day. And also compliments. Compliments are worth so, so, so much. So just to recap, capsule wardrobe guides are out, seasonal style guides are in and the Style circle is closing July 28th for a little upgrade and a mini facelift and will be reopening in September with a new look, a new focus and a new price. And I wanted you to hear all of that from me first, not find out about it later. I also wanted to give you an opportunity to join the Style Circle now before the doors close and the price goes up. That way you will get our current price for as long as you remain a member and you will get all the cool new things that are coming as soon as they get rolled out. So if you want to do that, the link is in the show notes. I really hope to see you there. And that's it. The Everyday Style School and I will be back in September kicking off the fall season with the fall Trends episode. Until then, stay stylish.
