Which social media thing am I going to be on? Like, not which, like app or, you know, how can I use my iPhone to do a hunt or something like that? Like, I don't know, it's just not as cool to me as it once was. So I said, would you ever switch? I would consider it, but I haven't spent. I just never liked the Android interface. And I think it's because, I would admit it's because I'm just used to iPhone. Like I've Apple out. I've been Apple.

Well, she was. I told you she was crying about that store getting looted. She had a. She had like, a stone thin headband on and like this white satin shirt that was like, why do you, like, gathered and pleated? And it did like that. And so she did. You know, she had. Her hair was in like a short black bob like this, but it was like, going back kind of with the headband. It was a cross between, like, a majorette and Harlem nights. But, but, but. Yeah, so they said she look like. She's like, well, let me march.

She would be doing, like, giving people, like, hair consultations, like, being alive.

And this one girl, I will never forget, this lady had called in talking about somebody else hair or whatever. She called in trying to, like, have a conspiratorial moment with Shekinah about a previous caller's hair. But this lady had her hair pulled up in a ponytail and the entirety of the side of her head was ate out, right? Oh, shoot, real thin. And Shekinah was like. She was friend. And the girl's like, what? And she was like. And it was so cringy. And Shekinah was like, you can't do that. That friend. You can't say that about that lady friend. I'mma find it and put it in the carousel. But I'm telling y', all, I will never forget that. Do you hear me? Because the lady. The lady was bald, essentially, and trying to talk about somebody else. And she kind of was like, you can't talk about nobody friend. She's like, you can't talk about nobody friend. Come on.

There were just certain. There were just certain pluses and minus. There were just certain pluses and minuses. Like, people were like, oh, you know, it was so much more like, even we talked about, like, it was convenient that the plane, you know, there was an extra seat in between, like, little things like that. But, like, there are people that really want, like, to go all the way back And I'm like, I don't want to do that. Like, certain things I feel like were good for health, you know, safety, public health practice. Like, that was great, but I don't. We don't need curfews and all that.

Well, not my old building. I'm talking about neighborhoods. I'm talking about just buildings for people that want to go back to, like, a Covid time. It's like, all right, well, y' all need to find, like, an area where y' all can practice that. And I guess make that, like, Yalls neighborhood city thing, because I Like I said, I was thinking about the. It's such a small thing, but a curfew, you know, that inspires people to want to break the rules. Like, people during COVID were like, well, fuck that. I'm still gonna be out. I'm still gonna find something to do. So in my mind, I'm like, there's just a lot of chaotic points of view. From the major ones y' all discussing and then from the little ones that I was just considering, I was like. Like, I don't see that the whole time happening. But I do understand people still being kind of not traumatized, even, because there are the people that have been traumatized from that, but program to think like, all right, it was like that for so long. Why aren't things like that anymore? I think that's kind of where I fell in the spectrum of y' all want this to happen still. Because I'm glad it's over. I like. I don't go outside a lot, but I like to be outside. And I feel like that had me very cautious. You had to do so much. You had to breathe through that mask. You had to. You didn't want to do certain things, you know, get your nails done and stuff like that. You just didn't want to come into contact with certain things. So now it's like, I'd rather just be able to choose. And if y' all want to choose to do that, y' all should do that over there. But not say, we all should have to go through that again.

People lost jobs, people lost homes, People lost their vehicles. In cities where public transportation is not an option, that was like the worst of the worst of the worst.

And even the downtowns, in a lot of. Not even just downtowns, a lot of the shops around, like, here in the downtown here has not. Has still not recovered. Like, a lot of those places are boarded up. You know, they haven't been able to restore a lot of the streets. Um, so it's just not, you know, it doesn't look good.

It's literally still dealing with side effects.

And because you don't want to get up and go to work, we need to go back to that.

Yes. When it got hit. Well, really, it got hit a couple months back, but we're just now taking it to get fixed. Because that's how much of a runaround we were getting by the person's insurance company. Where they didn't want to pay, basically. Yeah. They didn't want to pay for my actual market. What do they call it? The market? Factory parts. Right. They wanted off market, aftermarket. Aftermarket. That's the term, Aftermarket parts. And they were like, we don't have to pay for you to get your car fixed the way you want, basically. And I was like, that's so crazy to me. Like, how does this.

[Dustin]

Man, I don't want this great. I want my shit. Yeah.

[Francesca]

And then he was trying to talk to me and be like, you know, for real, for real. It's all the same. He was like, they get it from the same junkyard. They just put, you know, their branding on it to make it seem like I want that.

[Dustin]

Now here's. But here's my question. When you go to sell your car, how much does it affect whether you have aftermarket parts?

[Dustin]

It doesn't.

[Francesca]

Full factory parts. It doesn't affect it at all.

Because they will.

Really. That's my. That's not something they ask for when you give them, like, the whole history of the car. I was gonna say since it's been in.

[Dustin]

Well, yeah, well, some of that does matter, depending on how sell the car. Like if you're selling it to the dealer, some of that really ain't matter. Like, some of it is.

[Francesca]

I get it back. Remember, the dealer was offering to buy it, so that's the only way I would do it, really.

[Asante]

See, I don't know. Dustin might be right on that and just know. But I don't know. But I was gonna say private seller, you can get away with anything. But dealerships, some of them are picky about stuff, but I guess asking more questions. Yeah, but if it's an accident reporting, it's all on your carfax. Some of that, they're gonna be like, oh, well, it was minor damage or the car wasn't totaled out or nothing crazy. So why not?

[Francesca]

Yeah, he really just cracked, basically. My car was in the gym parking lot and his truck, when he was backing out, he hit it while backing out, basically. And crushed. I won't even say crushed. He cracked the bumper on the side. But then, you know, it's cracked in half. And then it has all the scrapes. There's like something behind it that's coming off. I mean, it's just a mess. And his. And then my insurance. Because, you know, you have the choice between getting his insurance involved. I was kind of trying to see who was going to get it done most efficiently, whether it's my insurance or his insurance. But his insurance was just a mess. Oh, my God.

[Dustin]

I literally got Argosy insurance.

[Francesca]

He had farmers, he had insurance. He had farmer's insurance. And it was just a mess. Like, the guy was talking to me as if me and him were like in a relationship. Does that make sense? Makes perfect sense. He was like, too comfortable, I think is the best way to put it. And I don't know if that's due to me being a woman. Whatever the case was, he was just too comfortable. And he Stopped talking to me. And then I said to him, this is the most unprofessional interaction I have ever had. He got quote unquote mad at me when I told him that I was standing on the fact that I want my parts to be what my car is. And he just stopped responding. And then the next week when I hit him again, he hit me and was like, oh, you know when you said that, you know what I'm saying?

[Dustin]

Like, he made it personal. Yeah, he made it personal.

[Francesca]

I was like, I have never interacted like this. And so that bothered me. So I was like, yeah, you know what? I'm gonna just go with my insurance to handle it because I don't have the patience.

[Asante]

Right.

[Francesca]

So we finally getting it squared away. But even my guy, the adjuster came and he was kind of telling me like he was like, low key. They're not lying. Like, it's all the same. They get it from the same junkyards. He was like, I'm not even gonna hold you. It really is all the same. Like, you shouldn't even trip. But I also don't know if he's just saying that. Cause his job is also to cut costs.

[Asante]

Right.

[Francesca]

For the insurance company. You know what I mean?

[Dustin]

So what is your gut telling you when you spoke to him, did you think he was being sincere or did you?

[Francesca]

He seemed like it. But you know, that's their job. Like I was gonna say after you said what it was trusting.

I know it really is hard. Like you just really don't know.

And then they talk to you in a really like, I'm trying to give you the, you know, the low down. Like.

I don't usually tell people this, but yeah, okay. I kind of can say smell, you know, So I don't know. But it's hard because this is also feels like a relatively newer world to me. And it's funny because when you start driving, your fear is being the one causing accidents.

And whenever it runs out of the 1500, that's what it is, right? They don't do that. That makes no sense. If I'm paying for the policy that has 1500, then why.

I don't know for how long, but she left her daughter with her brother. And it's sort of on a like, Eat Pray Love type. Like, mama is gonna go live in Paris. She got like an apartment and she's gonna stay out there for a little bit. I don't know. I don't know what the plan is exactly, because I'd watch some of the video and I was like, well, how long is she gonna be there? Is it like a summer thing? Is it for the year? I didn't know if she set a timeframe, but I was so stunned at how many people are angry at this woman for this. And I'm like, this is such a fascinating conversation. Women get fucking triggered.

The philosophy pushes. There's a thing. The philosophy pushes back against modern societal pressures to do everything perfectly, such as crafting elaborate meals or over scheduling kids activities. So like, there are certain things where it's like, you see, there are certain points she is making, right? The criticisms many mothers push back, arguing that the three hour model is an immense luxury. The point that Emma relies on an extensive support system including nannies, cleaners, a chief, a chef and a chief of staff, which makes this type of detachment, it makes this type of detachment impossible for the average parent. But you're buying. But the book is literally from this. Like, like, this is why this is fascinating to me because it's like you see who you're buying this book from and you think she's gonna sell you the average every day also, right? Like, yes, she has all of these things.

And there's a way for you to create your own, own model. Right. And create whatever your. Our allotment is to be hands on with your kids per their needs. All kids are different, right. Per the environmental factors surrounding it. Community related, you know what I'm saying?

I would hope that that thing happened to me at childbirth. That happens to. I see. Happen to a lot of women where, like, as soon as the baby comes out, they stop giving a. And they be on some savage. It's just like, that only turns people having sex.

I will say it's just funny watching her sometimes when she is talking to the cast. Cause you don't know what's going through her mind. And so I just be making shit up. So sometimes I'll just be looking at her and she'd be like, are you sure? Like, like. And so it could be read a certain way. But I will say her faces do look a little less friendlier and not Even often. Not even often. It just kind of seems like I don't know if she's got something else going on. She's over it.
