Welcome to the GOOP Podcast. I'm Caitlin Kerhart, bestselling author and numerologist and I will be your guest host for the week. And today we're talking about the 2026 numerology forecast. And this is such a pivotal Year. According to numerology, this year marks one of the biggest transitions we can go through as a collective. So for of us, 2025 felt really heavy, like deeply emotional. I think we were all in our feels last year. I know I definitely, I definitely was. So things probably ended that you didn't even expect to end. Chapters, closed relationship shifts, there was a lot of breaking down to breakthrough. So it makes sense that a lot of people are coming into 2026 a little cautious, a little hesitant, maybe asking themselves, okay, now what? 2026 marks the beginning of a nine year cycles. You know, not just on the calendar, but energetically. Whether you consciously are working with the numerological year cycles or not, you're probably feeling this. So we've officially crossed a very powerful threshold. And before I talk about exactly what 2026 is going to bring for us, I want to kind of talk about the energy of 2025 and the transition that we're all going through, we're all moving through right now. So 2025 was a universal year nine. And you can think about that as an emotional purge. Year nine is notorious, difficult cycle in the numerological year cycles. And just for reference, numerology goes in nine year cycles that repeat again and again and again throughout our lives. So 2025 is the ending of a nine year cycle that started in 2017. So that cycle from 2017 to 2025 is finished. And now we're embarking on an entirely new cycle, nine year cycle. So this is why this is so pivotal. Okay, so 2025, the emotional purge. It was a year of endings. It's a year of closure. On a soul level, 2025 was the year when everything fell apart. Like everything you're meant to let go of. That just wasn't supposed to go into the future with you. That was not soul aligned, had to come up for review and be released. That's why year nine is such a difficult year. It's a year of surrender. It's a year of ego deaths, a year of letting go of relationships, of your home. If it wasn't soul aligned, of work that wasn't working for you, of your entire identity, how you view yourself. I always say that the year nine is like the caterpillar going into the cocoon. It's melting down into conscious goo. It's becoming an entirely new thing. And in your year one, which is 2026, we grow our wings and we fight out of the cocoon and we become beautiful butterfl but we're still in this process of fighting to get out of the cocoon. Okay, so the transition's not always easy, but it is worth it. We are becoming the butterflies. Okay, so 2025 again. Old identities stopped working. There might have been a lot of grief, a lot of mourning. There can be a lot of death in a year nine. It could either be, you know, metaphorical deaths, physical death, like, you know, my father's cat died. So there are a lot of different endings that could exist on various levels. And it's. It really does feel like emotional exhaustion. A lot of people I know are feeling emotional, exhausted, burnt out, not sure of what's next, this strange mix of sadness and relief. And that's because the year nine really asks us to empty out. And the emptying out can feel really brutal because the ego wants to hold on even when the soul is done. It's like, oh, no, why do I have to let go? I mean, we've all been there, okay? Like, I was even holding onto a relationship last year that I knew was not in my highest good. And everyone's like, you're miserable, girl. What are you doing? And I was like, but I love him. It can work. No, it could not work, okay? So I had to let go. And it was a very painful process. And, you know, a lot of us got to this point of not even recognizing our lives anymore. It's this point where you're like, I know I'm going into something different, and I'm not sure what that is. And I also know that I can't go back to where I was. So it's this huge, liminal space. Space in between. And that actual transition point between late 2025 and early 2026 often feels disorienting. You know, it's not dramatic, and it's not celebratory yet. It's more like this pause, like a deep breath, maybe even a deep sigh, like, ah, okay, we made it through 2025 because it was an absolute shit show. I don't know how else to put it. So, again, this in between space might feel oddly peaceful, but maybe also a little bit emotionally raw. And we're now going into the 2026 year, which is a year one. So this is all about rebirth again. Remember that butterfly? And so the energy shifts from release to initiation, where the year nine says, okay, let it all go. Surrender, let go, Let God. Year one says, okay, who am I now? And the biggest difference you're probably going to notice is that your motivation slowly starts to come back. The one is all about creativity. And innovation. And it's a very fast energy. It's a very entrepreneurial energy as well. So there's a lot of motivation, a lot of ideas start to come to you now. There's curiosity that starts to brew. It kind of starts to replace some of that emotional heaviness, maybe that grief that you've been working through. There's also a pull towards something new, even if it's not clear yet. Like, you can feel that there are new beginnings and new things that are about to be on your horizon, but you may not know what they are. And the year one is not really loud or flashy at first. It starts off more subtle and more internal, more identity based. So right now, in January, you're really being asked to kind of go within, take stock and inventory of who you are, who you want to be. And this is really going to be the year where you, you know, you stop processing the past, you stop explaining yourself, and you start choosing from alignment instead of habit again. The global consciousness has shifted from the ending of who we were and how we are existing for the last nine years. And we're moving into, okay, we're, what do we want for our futures? And where do we see the collective energy moving and ourselves on an identity level as well for the next nine years? So the nine year clears the space and the year one defines the self. So if 2025 was saying, what am I done with? What am I letting go? 2026 is asking, who am I actually choosing to be? And also the one is the only number in the cycle that is purely about the self and your identity. So this transition is going to feel a lot like coming home to yourself and Dec rather than just being on autopilot. This is a year for you to be proactive, not reactive. So you may start to notice that you tolerate less, you explain less, you hesitate less. And it's not because you've suddenly hardened. It's because you're so clear on your non negotiables and who you are and where you're going. 2025 was the funeral and 2026 is the birthday.

When I'm booking a home on Airbnb, I'm always drawn to places that feel thoughtful and well lived in. I look for a great neighborhood, somewhere you can walk to coffee or dinner, a kitchen that actually invites you to cook. Great, light, comfortable spaces. It's those little details that make it feel like a real home, not just a place to stay. And when I'm traveling, I often think about how many beautiful homes are sitting empty while their owners are away. Hosting your home on Airbnb can be a simple way to let someone else experience that same sense of ease and care. Hosting is really about sharing, opening your space even briefly, and helping someone else feel at home while your space is isn't being used. Instead of sitting empty, your home could bring a little extra income. Maybe that goes toward a future trip or a small project at home you've been meaning to do. Your home might be worth more than you think. Find out how much@airbnb.com host.

So that's where we've been. Now I want to dive deeper into what a universal year one actually is. So 2026 is a universal year one. And for those of you who are interested in how I even got that number, it's simply by adding 2026. So two plus zero plus two plus six and you reduce that to a single digit and that is one Numerology moves in nine year cycles and year one is the first breath of that nine year cycle. So this is new energy, new themes and new karmic terrain. New versions of self being formed and something else in the cycle carries this frequency. There's no other year that is all about new beginnings and all about the self. The number one is all about ourself and our identity and it's about autonomy and leadership and initiation. Now next year is gonna be about who we are in partnership, who we are in relation to other people. But this year is about me. Okay, so most people expect Year one to feel exciting right away, but again, in reality it often feels a little destabilizing, a little raw, but also hopeful. A little like I don't really fully know who I am yet, but I know I'm not who I was. And these year cycle themes take time to play out, by the way. So if you're sitting here listening, whatever time of year you're listening to this, if you're like, oh my God, I don't feel like I've had that Clarity moment of who I am and what I want. I don't know where I'm moving towards. Don't worry, you will know by the end of this year. And just a little pro tip, September is actually the peak of the year in the numerological year cycles. So September is usually when we have our big aha moments. So again, don't put so much pressure on yourself, just let it unfold. And it is common to feel maybe a little impatient. That's a shadow side of the one. Maybe a little less willing to explain yourself to people, more sensitive to what drains you and a pull towards independence. The One is all about being independent. And year one is really not about like building your life just yet. It's about deciding who you are when you're building it and what you want to build. So whatever you start in the year one tends to take for the entire nine year cycle. And this is very, very important. You need to be very aware and very cautious of what it is that you're willing to let take for the next nine years. So for example, if you get into a new relationship this year, it's very likely that, that it will take for the next nine years. If you start a new business this year, it's very likely that it's going to take for the next nine years. So you need to be very clear on what your goals are and who you are aligning with in those goals. Like if you're going into a business partnership, you better feel great about the fact that this person might be in your life for the next nine years. It's also a time where if there is any chaos in your life, you want to make sure that you let go of it and distance yourself from it as much as possible. Because it's not just a about what you're starting, it's also about what you want to let go of that you don't want to bring with you into the next nine years. So if there are relationships that are still draining you that you maybe didn't let go of in the year nine, in 2025, now is the time to really let it go. Again, be very, very cautious about what you start and what you begin in year one. It is probably the, the biggest piece of advice I want you to take away from this is what are you starting this year? What new beginnings are you going to initiate? Because they have the power to take for nine years. And that should inspire you too. Like if you're like this is my year to really go for it. Whatever it is, go for it this year again, all of your dreams, like, nothing is too big. And I'm going to actually challenge you to dream even bigger than you think. You're already dreaming. So many of us are actually limiting ourselves and we don't realize it. One of my teachers actually told me the other day, he was like, you know, so many of us are just trying to get through the day. We wake up in the morning and the first thing we're thinking about is, oh, my God, all these tasks I have to get through and I gotta go here, I gotta do this. I have to have this phone call, whatever it is, right? And we forget that even waking up is a miracle. And that when we wake up in the morning, we should place the tallest order. We should be waking up in the morning and not thinking, how can I get through my day? We should be waking up in the morning and thinking, what is the greatest miracle that can happen? Don't be afraid to dream big. Think about, what is your order every day when you wake up in the morning? And double it, triple it. Wake up in the morning and ask yourself, what's the greatest vision? What is my dream life? And even getting really clear and writing that down, what is your dream life look like? And how can you align with that? The more clarity you can bring to that question this year, the better, because you have the ability to create that this year and have it take for the next nine years. So what does it look like when you're living your dream life day to day? Who are the people that are involved? How are you living? Get really specific on that. It's different for everyone. Like, maybe your dream is just, I want to go from creative project to create a project. Like, I want to wake up in the morning and have freedom to go to Pilates every morning and grab a cup of coffee and read my favorite book and whatever it is, right? We all have a different idea, but spend some time really sitting with that and really anchoring into yourself. Another thing I want to say about the year one is that identity is going to be core lesson this year. This is a year where you can ask questions like, who am I when I'm not performing? That's something I've been thinking about a lot lately. We all wear masks in social settings and we all adapt. But where are we actually being our authentic selves versus performing? Where are we showing up because we feel we have to be a certain way or hold a certain identity versus what's our actual true identity? And what do I want when I'm not actually people pleasing. Also asking yourself what actually feels true to who you are today and not who you were five years ago, even one year ago, because that person doesn't exist anymore. We've all crossed this threshold of embodying a totally new identity. So what parts of me am I finally ready to lead with? And you know, the universal Year one, it often brings new roles or titles, new beginnings, like new beginnings. And new opportunities are going to find you. You don't have to push so hard for them, but you do have to create the space for to come through. So again, as much as you can get in touch with what your desires are and what your dream life is and what you're manifesting, the better. There are going to be new relationship dynamics that are entering right now. There'll be new creative and entrepreneurial ideas and there's going to be a desire to do something your way. That's going to be a huge, huge part of the Year one. And it's going to be this feeling of just, I can't keep living like the old version of me did. Like, this is the true inner shift right now. Okay, so I want to talk a little bit about the challenges of the Year one too. There is a light and a shadow side to each year. And the shadow side, or the challenges that come with the one are impatience. Ones are notoriously impatient. There's this feeling of like, why isn't it happening yet? You feel all this, this momentum returning to you, but it's not happening fast enough. So again, come back to center, have a little meditation practice, whatever it takes to get yourself out of that impatience. Something that I do to help myself when I get really impatient is to channel my energy into other projects or other things that are lighting me up. So if I'm waiting to move forward with a project because I'm waiting on someone, I will go do some creative writing. I'll go pour my energy into something else that is feeding my creativity. That way I'm not so focused on, oh my God, I'm waiting on this thing to happen. And then there's also this fear that can arise in a year one where you feel, feel like you might be choosing wrong. You're like, oh my God, there's so much pressure. It's a Year one. I wanna make sure I get it right. And again, everything is just data. Okay, so that's what we're doing this year. We're, we're trying things out, we're trying on these new identities. We're out who we really are. And sometimes that takes a couple tries. Sometimes that takes falling on your face. Sometimes that takes feeling like you're quote unquote, failing before you get to the place where you know right. It's like you don't know exactly how you feel about something until you try. It's kind of like dating. How do you know if someone's the one? Well, you need to go out there and meet different people and understand how do I feel when I'm with these different people. So you're kind of dating yourself this year. There is no choosing wrong. It's just. Just testing and taking that feedback and understanding. Oh, that works for my who I am today. That doesn't work. Again, you're a totally new person. You're the butterfly this year, don't forget. And there's also a bit of this ego inflation that can happen in a year one or this feeling of proving your energy. And I just want to say, don't do that. Let's all try and have some lightness and some humor again. The one is all about pushing hard and making things happen. And you need to make sure that you're not doing that at the cost of anybody else or even yourself. It's okay to take a beat, take a moment. And the one can also isolate itself sometimes because it is the number of independence. So just make sure that you're not isolating yourself too much or maybe engaging in self obsession. Sometimes the one has a little bit of that self obsessed energy. Not narcissistic, by the way. We're not saying narcissist, we're saying self obsession obsessed. Okay? We all have that to some degree, especially in the age of social media. But just make sure that you're not losing the plot, okay? Make sure that you're like getting outside of yourself and you're still interacting with others and you're still like, okay, here's who I am in the world. Here's how I'm moving. Like, maybe things aren't so serious. I know as a life path one, sometimes I can get really stuck in my head about something and I'll just call my best friend and be like, sophie, I need help, like, and she'll help get me unstuck. Like, sometimes we need that best friend to come through and help you. So yeah, this, this year really responds best when you're initiating instead of waiting. When you're acting before confidence arrives again, you're learning how to fly as this butterfly. You're a totally new being. So acting before the confidence arrives is going to be a big part of this year and you're going to be making decisions that reinforce self trust. So you're gonna be making decisions from a place of a new identity and learning how to trust yourself and building that trust muscle. And you're going to have to choose direction over certainty. You know, this year doesn't always have a lot of certainty because everything is brand new. Everything is brand new this year. So let your identity lead and don't chase outcomes first. Get in touch with who you are and lead from that place. So this really is the first chapter of an entirely new book that you get to write. So what is it that you want to write? How is the book of your life for the next nine years going to look? What is this movie that's out? So this is about defining the future from the inside out. Okay, so I want to talk a little bit about what to expect now. Universal Year one is the collective inhale after a long exhale. Okay. Like 2025 was just a long exhale. I think we all felt that. We're tired, we are exhausted, okay? And now we're in that one and we' we're waking up again. We're taking that fresh breath, that. Yes, that good energy, right? So it's that moment after that reset button is, is pressed. And this is really when that energy shifts from closure to creation. So your one is gonna feel like you're waking up after the emotional heaviness and endings and grief of 2025. You're gonna be asking yourself, what am I even doing with my life? Okay? So again, new ideas are gonna start arriving. There's gonna be a return to motivation after burnout. And there's gonna be this feeling that something you like, you're finally ready to step into this new identity. And I'm sure many of you listening, you probably have a feeling what that new identity is. There's probably something you've been thinking about the last year or the last two or three years where you're like, I really feel a calling to do this, but is that actually me? And there might even be some imposter syndrome that's happening, right? You might even be like, well, who am I to share my thoughts on social media? Like, who am I to do this? But. But let me remind you as a life path, one in a year, one that you are a totally unique individual. And even if someone's doing the exact same thing that you want to do, no one is doing it in the exact same way that you're going to you bring a unique energy to the situation that you're thinking, to whatever dreams that you have that you want to achieve. So you are ready. And this is about planting seeds. So the seeds that you plant this year are going to start taking over the next few years. So usually what happens is in a year one, you'll plant the seeds in the year two, really harvest it and then in the year three, you have this blooming garden, right? So everything in its right time. So year one isn't really about like instant success or fireworks. It's really about planting those seeds and, you know, thinking about the, the new relationships that are entering your orbit, the new creative ideas and business concepts and identities that are forming and a shift in how you're seeing yourself and the urge to do something that you've probably never done before that's really, really valued this year. And you're going to feel a stronger sense of self and a stronger sen of what you're actually willing to tolerate. And you'll feel when you're out of alignment faster than you've ever felt this year. And there's going to be a desire to choose yourself instead of people pleasing this year. So there's gonna be a clearer sense of this is me now, take it or leave it. There's gonna be a lot of courage that you're gonna have to turn on. Of like, okay, I'm, I'm ready, I'm stepping into this, it's time to go. Like, it's again that self anchoring that you're gonna have to keep this year. I also wanna talk about in regards to what to expect this year. The, the main things people always ask me about or come to me about are always around the topics of love and money. And like, hey, I get it, like, who doesn't want to be madly in love and who doesn't want to have a lot of money? Like those two things make life magical. Okay, they're not the only things, but they are wonderful. And for those of you who are like, wait, how, how is love and money gonna show up this year? I want to say again, whatever you're going to start in a year, one can take for the next nine years. Really thinking about how do you want your finances to look? Getting your finances really organized this year because you're just getting in a really good pattern for the next nine years. How much do you want your income to grow? Where are the different income streams coming from and starting those this year. I remember when I was in my last year one, I got very Clear on, okay, what do I want? What do I want my business to look like? And how do I actually want to be earning money? And at the time I was only earning money through one on one readings. And I realized that wasn't sustainable at all because it was just burning out my energy. And I realized that it made more sense for me to have numerology offerings and products on my website so that people didn't have to book me one on one. They could just go on my website and learn about numerology that way. And so I started building all those systems and many years later, here I am today and those, those systems are thriving. And now I'm creating new systems this year. Last year I realized, okay, I want to let this way of doing work go and I want to step into a totally new way. And now I'm doing more media, more podcasts, moving into a new space, and like thinking like, how do you want to earn money? Like, what's the most aligned way to do that? And then when it comes to love, again, what do you want your relationships to look like? 1 is not really a love year, but I do see a lot of people getting into love relationships in year one and they do tend to take for the nine year cycle. So what is your dream partner look like? Get very, very clear on that. And even if they don't show up this year, next year is a love year. Okay? So getting clear on that and embodying that, even making a list of who's my dream partner and asking yourself, do you embody those qualities? That's a really good way to identify what you actually want from a partner. And can you give that to yourself right now? Okay. And then that actually will magnetize and attract more love into your life. Do have month cycles within the year cycle. So every month has its own energy and its own theme that's playing out within the yearly cycle. It's almost like the year cycle is the main character and the month cycles are the supporting characters. The best time for love this year is January, May and October. Those are really, really good times for love. Those should be the times where you're really putting yourself out there for love. Those should be the times where you're going on the most dates where you're, you know, planning ahead, like, okay, I'm like ready to open up my energy for real love to come in. Those are gonna be the most valuable times this year for that. And then the best time for money. July is our only money month this year. Yes. We only get one I know some years we get more in a year one, we only get one money month, so that's going to be July. So expect something big to happen financially in July. For those of you that who maybe are listening and writing this down, or maybe you're driving in your car, I just want to repeat that really, really quickly for those, just so it really sinks in. So the best time for love and partnerships this year are January, May and October. And the best time for money is July. So really go for it in those months. So what is my advice for the year? The year one is the only cycle that really has to do with the self. This year is really asking you, who am I now and who am I choosing to become? Because it is a choice. And I do want to say, if ever there was a time to put yourself first, it is this year. You had to put your own oxygen mask on first before you can help others. So this is really the year to put yourself first. If a bunch of your friends are asking you to hang out and you're low energy, this is not the year to have fomo. This is the year to say, you know what? I'm gonna stay home, spend some time with me and regain my energy. If something is draining you, say no. If something doesn't make you happy, don't do it. Really get in touch with yourself this year and really become your own best friend, your. Your own lover, your own boyfriend, all the things, your own girlfriend, whatever it is, get really right with yourself. And this is really a time again, focus on your identity, your individuality, like how unique you are and what version of you is ready to be born and what standards and boundaries are gonna define the next nine years of your life? This is the time. Like, maybe you're like, I don't have the healthiest relationship with my mom. Time to set a boundary. Maybe you're like, I'm a little bit of a workaholic and I don't wanna be anymore. Time to get rid of that. If you're like, you know what? I think I wanna live a healthier lifestyle and maybe not eat so much candy all the time. Whatever it is, whatever identity shifts you wanna make, if you're like, I'm ready to be a person who exercises all the time. I never have been that, but I'm ready to be that. Step into that identity. This is time for you to upgrade your system, right? Your whole system is getting an upgrade right now. What does that upgrade look like? And this is a time for you to lead. So step into Your role as a leader in your life, whether that's as a friend or a business owner, or a coworker or a mother or a daughter, whatever it is, how can you lead in every area of your life? You know, small identity based shifts are gonna really matter right now. And each tiny change that you make adds up over time. So even think about, like, how are you introducing yourself? What are you tolerating? Like, how quickly are you abandoning yourself or choosing yourself? And like, what are you no longer willing to explain or justify? This is also my other piece of advice is to start something, even if it's imperfect. The one is a little bit of a perfectionist. Okay? But this year is not about perfection. This year is about just starting something new. Just start the thing. Say yes to the thing that is weighing on your heart. The thing that you know you're supposed to do. And I know you're probably sitting here right now thinking, damn, I should really start that feng shui course. Damn, I should really just record that video and post it, even though I'm really scared. And listen, I always say cringe is an underexplored emotion. Where cringe is, so is the creator. The most cringe worthy things I've done usually lead me to the biggest breakthroughs. So you're gonna feel a little cringe when you're trying all these new things and you're in this new identity. And that's okay. That's kind of the point, right? Like, if you weren't feeling that or if you weren't feeling challenged, then you're not in a new identity. You're doing the same, right? You're gonna feel challenged when you're stepping out there. And the point is to embrace it. Embrace the discomfort. Get a friend, let them be your cheerleader, ask for their support. Be like, I feel so cringe doing this thing. It's so new for me. I'm not fully embodying this identity yet. Can you just support me on this and just have them be like, yeah, you got this. Give you some, you know, solid feedback as well. And be very conscious about what you say yes to. You might be coming out of that year nine feeling like, oh my God, like I'm. I just need to say yes to everything. And it's like, no, no, no, no. You need to be very clear on what you're saying yes to, because it can take for the next nine years. So be very discerning. If it's not a hell yes, it's gotta be a no. Period. Period. Don't Forget that and just choose direction and nothing is permanent. Okay? So I think a lot of people, sometimes in year one, they'll be scared to take a certain path. Cause they're like, oh my God, if I start this and it might be forever. And I don't know. And they get stuck in analysis paralysis. So I'd say just choose the direction, start walking on the path. The goal is not to get it right, the goal is to get moving in a direction that feels true to you. Okay? You can course correct later. So don't overthink it. Just make aligned decisions that feel authentic to you. And the more you're doing that, the more the path appears. So anchor your identity this year. Take initiative in love, money and purpose. This is not a passive year. This is a year to get very active in these areas. So, so in love, be honest, be clear, be direct, be expressive. And in money, initiate the conversations, shift your prices, think about your new income ideas. And when it comes to your purpose, stop waiting for permission, okay? I'm giving you permission right now. Okay? Kaelyn Kerhart has given you permission. Not that you need me. And it's time for you to really embody your purpose. I'm saying this to you as much as I'm saying it to myself because we all need to hear this, right? We all have our own fears and hangups that stop us from really stepping into our greatness. But this year we are so expect some discomfort. It's not failure. Think about what seeds you're planting, not the outcomes. Focus on the seeds and trust your instincts. Put yourself out there before the confidence arrives. Confidence is gonna come from doing the thing and getting comfortable with the thing over time. And start building whatever it is you wanna build. Don't wait and choose yourself unapolog. Okay, like, you don't need to know the whole story this year. You just have to write the first chapter. So thank you so much for listening. I love being able to share all of this numerological information with the GOOP community.
