Because while emotions are real and God-given, they were also affected by the fall. That means our feelings can reveal what’s happening in our hearts, but they were never meant to become our authority.

At the end of the day, emotions make wonderful servants but terrible masters. Your feelings are real, but they are not your authority… God is.
