Learn how to rewire you relationship with food! Laura Conley is known as the FUN weight loss coach because she encourages self love not restriction. She created the Yummy Mummy Weight Loss Method and she is going to teach you how to lose weight for the last time! Welcome to The Hot Girl School! The podcast where we redefine confidence and go way beyond the reflection you see in the mirror. We're your hosts Lauren and Danielle, here to empower you to embrace your inner radiance because confidence is so much more than looks. Our goal is to help you become your best self. She started the work on herself, digging deep and pulling philosophies in from other areas such as yoga, meditation and psychology.Hunger Hormone Balance + Fun + Self Love is the combination to change the game! Hint: To balance your hunger hormone, start by removing sugar and flour.Laura's #1: Ask yourself first! What do you want to do at the girls dinner? What do you want your relationship to be with food? What serves you in the moment, tomorrow, and in 5 years? So let's talk tangibles. We do 2 things to ourselves when we eat that cupcake:1. Either bury your head in the sand.OR2. Beat yourself up mentallyHow do we overcome these?Laura teaches you how to deal with these moments and to still love yourself. Nobody is perfect. When you are in the moment and catch yourself giving yourself a guilt trip, choose to love yourself anyway because it's one small mistake. After the fact, if you don't feel good, remember the feeling and when the opportunity presents itself again, call in the previous feeling to remind you that you don't actually feel good after eating the cupcake.Another big question we all have is, what do we eat when we travel? We know that we don't have control over what and how restaurants put in their food and we won't be doing the cooking. So what's the solution?First and foremost, if it's a once in a lifetime trip, INDULGE! It's a week or two and know that if you truly eat every single thing you want along the way, you will ultimately ruin your vacation because you don't feel well. Vacation isn't an excuse to eat more. It's the allowance to try new foods but still eat amounts that align with your weight goals.Second, If you have a rule at home, keep that rule for majority of your time traveling. If you cut out sugar and flour, do your best to stay away from those items while traveling. Again, it's a challenge because we don't know everything that's in the food at restaurants, but it's something you can be mindful of.Questions to ask yourself when you are using food as the solution:What does food provide you that you aren't filled with? What is food giving me and how can I give that myself that gives me the result I want in a different way?Laura wants to help mom's because of how she wanted to show up for her own daughter and because that is her WHY, her coaching has changed family dynamics for her clients. She used to feel like a black cloud would follow her around because she ate poorly which in turn felt ashamed which caused her to snap at her friends which then made her eat more bad food. The result: a toxic cycle.Do you feel like this? The way you feel about yourself trickles into everything. The activities with your kids, intimacy with your significant other, what you say yes or no to. The confidence comes from how you feel and you're in charge of what you put into your body AND how you treat yourself.NINJA TIP: Ask yourself "What do I want?". It's ok if you can't answer the question and see what pops up.Reach out to Laura Conley!YouTube: @lauraconley2074 Instagram: @lauraconleycoachingWebsite: www.lauraconley.com New episodes every Tuesday!Let's Connect:📸 Follow us on Instagram: @thehotgirlschool 🔥 Follow us on TikTok: @thehotgirlschool 🎶 Follow us on Spotify: @thehotgirlschool 🟥 Follow us on YouTube: @thehotgirlschool TALK TO US! Every person has their own opinion on this heated topic. Do you stay in touch with an ex? Is it wrong to be friends with an ex? Do you speak to or check on your ex? Are you curious or jealous of your partner's ex? Some say they are an ex for a reason, but an ex could also be the one that got away. Let's have a discussion around the do's and don't's of staying in touch with an ex. Whether you're strutting into an event or conquering the boardroom, join us as we explore topics like self love, inner strength and owning your unique journey to confidence. So, grab your favorite drinkie and turn up the volume because you're about to unleash your true potential. WE ALL HAVE A PAST. When you're single, you keep the exes on the back burner in case it doesn't work out or just for your ego's sake to know they haven't moved on. Which quite frankly, is very unhealthy. Now if you are in a relationship but still staying in touch with an ex, ask yourself, "how much do I value this current relationship?". By staying in touch we mean checking social profiles, sending Happy Birthday texts, finding random reasons to strike up a conversation. Then examine your current relationship for what is missing and why you are reaching out to your ex. We all know that a break up requires breaking up with the family and possibly the friend group, so is it ok to stay in touch with your ex's family? We say yes. The caveat is that it's truly to stay in touch with the family and NOT a way to secretly get to the ex. If you are hanging around or reaching out in hopes to have some insight dropped about your ex's life that is the wrong reason. Cutting ties with the ex's family to ensure your current relationship stays in the safe zone would be a smart idea right about now. There are different levels of ex's. Someone who was around for 1-3 months. Someone was you were very in love with. And everything in between. TAKEAWAYS: You know how you feel about your ex. Your actions will follow suit. The truth always comes out. If you aren't happy in your current relationship then your ex will look real good. If you have no feeling for your ex then perhaps a small encounter means nothing. ONLY YOU KNOW. How you know you're in the right relationship: Open communication about ex's is safe. It doesn't need to be word vomit about an ex, but it can be a teaching tool so your current person knows how to treat you and why things they do upset you. An ex can shape the way you approach your new relationship. Set boundaries. Self aware. Practice how to communicate. Work on yourself to show up as your best. If the person you're dating doesn't mirror your healthy habits, ditch em!
