Nobel Prize research has proved that a single molecule controls how fast you age. This one molecule can slow your aging and extend your healthy years better than almost anything else. But right now, your body is actively destroying it. This is why your energy crashes by the afternoon. Your brain feels slower than it used to and workouts now take you days to recover from. Every one of those symptoms traces back to this one molecule running out. But I've discovered how you can restore this molecule before it's too late. In this video, I'm going to show you what it is, what is tearing it apart, and the exact protocol to rebuild it from the ground up. I'm Dave Asprey, the creator and father of biohacking. I have spent over two decades and $2 million studying why some people age rapidly while others stay physically strong into their 70s and 80s. This one molecule might be one of the most important things I've learned about longevity. Your doctor said your labs look normal. Okay, then why don't you feel like yourself? Why are you exhausted all the time? Why has your body stopped responding to the things that used to work? That's why Gatlin exists. Gatlin is a physician led optimization program for people who know something is off, even when the conventional system says everything looks fine. It's also for people who want more energy, better recovery, better sleep and long term performance. Because the current system often waits for disease, Most people get 10 minutes with a doctor, a basic blood panel and a vague everything looks normal even when they still feel off. Gatlin does things differently. You speak with a licensed medical provider, you get comprehensive labs, and depending on your needs, your plan may include hormone support, thyroid support, peptide therapy, and longevity focused care personalized around your actual biology. Not one size fits all medicine. Feeling off shouldn't be dismissed just because it's common. Start your journey today@gatlin.com Dave and use code Dave. That's G-A-T-L-A-N.com Dave. Code Dave. Right now, your body is engaged in a massive silent war between taking damage and repairing that damage. For most of your life, the repair side of that equation kept up just fine. You never had to think about it because your cells were operating at peak efficiency. Everything simply worked without you having to do anything special to help it along. But at some point in your life, the accumulated damage started outpacing your body's ability to repair it. And when that happens, you force your biology into a state of pure survival mode. Your body starts shutting down. Anything that is not absolutely critical to Keeping you alive right now. That specific moment is when the aging process actually begins. It does not happen on your birthday. It happens the moment your cells can no longer keep up with the physical damage they are taking every single day. And the reason they cannot keep up comes down to one massive biological failure. Your body requires an enormous amount of raw energy to do literally everything it does. That energy is called at, and it is produced inside the mitochondria of your cells Using a very specific type of biological fuel. You can think of that fuel exactly like the electricity running through a big office building. When the power starts dropping, the building does not just get a little dimmer across the board. The building's internal systems start intentionally shutting off non essential rooms to save whatever electricity is left for the critical systems inside your body. The cosmetic stuff is always the first thing to lose power. That is exactly why your skin stops repairing itself quickly and your hair starts thinning out as you get old. Then the deeper, more structural systems begin to lose their power supply. Your muscles stop recovering the way they used to. And workouts that used to leave you feeling energized now take you three days to bounce back from. Your sleep stops, actually restoring your brain. And you start waking up exhausted no matter how many hours you spent in bed. And eventually, even the most critical systems in your body start failing. Your brain slows down, your memory slips, and you cannot process complex information the way you used to. Your immune system stops doing its job efficiently, and you find yourself getting sick much more often. And your entire hormonal system completely falls apart. Your body is not breaking down simply because time is passing. Your body is breaking down because the central power supply is actively failing. Now, the reason that power supply is failing is actually very simple. Once you understand the mechanism Inside your cells, you have a specific molecule that is responsible for producing this vital fuel. You can think of this like a master builder working on a construction site, but you also have an enzyme that actively breaks this fuel down and destroys it. You can think of that enzyme as the demolition crew. When you are young, the builder is incredibly fast, and the demolition crew is very small. So your total fuel supply stays extremely high. But as you get older, the builder starts to slow down significantly, and the demolition crew gets much, much bigger. Fuel production drops while fuel destruction speeds up. And that gap gets wider and wider every single year you are alive. By the time you reach middle age, you have probably lost 40 to 50% of the total fuel supply you had in your 20s. That specific fuel is a molecule called NAD. But it was Only when I looked into the Nobel Prize research that it completely changed the way I think about human aging. When scientists started looking closely at nad, they found something that completely shattered everything we thought we knew about cognitive decline. They discovered that the physical levels of NAD in the brain are the single biggest factor separating people who develop severe cognitive issues from, from people who stay sharp into old age. And there's one specific study on this that is absolutely mind blowing. Researchers looked at the brains of people who had full Alzheimer's pathology. They had the physical plaques, they had the tangles, and they had the actual visible physical damage in their brain tissue. But between 20 and 50% of those exact same people had completely normal, fully functioning cognition. Their brains physically looked like they had Alzheimer's disease, but they were thinking, talking, and functioning perfectly fine. And the key variable that explained this massive difference was their NAD levels. Their bodies had enough of this specific molecule to keep the brain running and functioning despite the massive physical damage sitting right there in the tissue. When researchers took this information and restored NAD levels in animal models, the results were incredible. Animals that had completely lost the ability to learn or retain any new information suddenly started doing both again. The chronic deep seated inflammation in their brain tissue actively calmed down. The actual physical markers of the disease inside their brains started reversing. The researchers themselves stated that their own findings completely challenged the idea that this kind of cognitive decline is permanent or irreversible. And coming directly from the people running the study, that is a massive statement to make. Now, the problem is that when you hear all of this research, the very first thing you want to do is go online and buy an NAD supplement. And I completely understand that instinct, but what usually happens is that you buy a low quality supplement, take a tiny dose of it, and absolutely nothing changes in your body. So you walk away assuming that the entire conversation around NAD is just overhyped marketing. But the reason nothing changed in your body is actually very simple. If you remember the analogy from earlier, your body's builder is still moving incredibly slow, and the demolition crew is still tearing everything down. So when you take a basic supplement, you are just pouring expensive fuel into a system that physically cannot hold onto it. The brain fog, the chronic fatigue, and the poor physical recovery are dealing with right now is exactly what it feels like when the builder has almost completely stopped working and the demolition crew is working around the clock to tear down whatever fuel is left. If you actually want to fix this imbalance and feel the difference, you have to approach it in a very specific order. If you want to Restore your body's power supply. You have to get the builder producing again, and you have to actively slow the demolition crew down. And the exact order you do this in matters significantly, the very first step is your diet. If your body's builder does not have the raw physical materials it needs to construct nad, absolutely nothing else you do is going to matter. You can take all the supplements in the world, but without the building blocks, production stays flat. The two most important raw materials are specific nutrients called niacin and tryptophan. Niacin is a form of vitamin B3, and you get it naturally from foods like beef liver, chicken, turkey, and fish. Tryptophan is an amino acid that comes from eating any high quality complete protein source. If you're not eating enough of those two specific things, the builder simply has nothing to work with. But the right diet does something else important. On top of providing raw materials, there are two specific plant compounds called quercetin and apigenin. Quercetin is naturally found in foods like capers and red onions, and apigenin is highly concentrated in chamomile tea. Both of these specific compounds have been shown to directly slow down the demolition crew inside your cells. So by eating the right foods, you are actively feeding the builder and putting the brakes on the destruction process at the exact same time. Now, even with all of those raw materials perfectly in place, the builder still needs a biological signal to actually wake up and start working. And the most powerful signal you can send your body comes from fasting. When you stop eating for a specific period of time, your body activates an internal sensor called ampk. You can think of AMPK exactly like an emergency alarm inside your cel that only goes off when your body senses that energy levels are getting low. You're losing hair on your head and collagen in your skin right now, even though you probably can't see it yet. That process speeds up as you age, and it doesn't reverse on its own. But you can intervene at the cellular level. Studies show that specific wavelengths of red and near infrared light will stimulate your hair follicles. And that does support collagen production. When that specific alarm fires, it screams at the builder to wake up and start producing massive amounts of NAD again. Practicing time restricted eating where you fast for 14 to 16 hours a day is enough to set that alarm off consistently. And since you are already sleeping for eight of those hours, you are really just extending your fast by a few extra waking hours on either end of the day. Doing a full 24 hour fast once or twice a week hits that cellular alarm much harder and produces an even stronger surge in NAD production. But if you are constantly eating from the moment you wake up until the moment you go to bed, your insulin levels stay elevated all day long. And high insulin keeps that emergency alarm completely silent. So the builder never gets the signal to wake up. And your NAD plus production stays completely flat all day. Exercise does the exact same thing through the exact same biological pathway. If you are training consistently, your builder stays active as a baseline because your body is getting that demand signal every single day. The absolute fastest way to trigger that signal if you are short on time is a specific protocol called rehit. It stands for reduced Exertion High Intensity Interval training. You do two minutes of very slow cycling followed by a 22nd all out sprint where you push as hard as you physically can. Then you do two more minutes of slow cycling and one final 20 second sprint. Then you cool down. You're completely done in around five minutes. That five minute protocol fires the NAD production signal and kicks off the biological process that actually builds brand new mitochondria inside your cells at the exact same time. Once you have your diet, your fasting and your exercise working together, that is when supplementation finally makes sense. Supplementation is the final step that pushes your NAD levels up directly on top of the strong foundation you just built. There are main precursors you can take. Nmn, which is short for nicotinamide mononucleotide, and nr, short for nicotinamide riboside. NMN converts into NAD plus one step faster in the biological process, so you tend to feel the physical difference sooner. It's generally the better choice if you want more immediate, noticeable results. The actual clinical research used between 600 and 900 milligrams of NMN daily. At those specific doses, they saw real measurable increases in blood NAD levels alongside very noticeable improvements in daily energy and physical performance. You should always start with a lower dose and take it in the morning, because pushing your levels too high too fast can actually make you feel overly wired or throw off your sleep cycle. If you are vegan, if you're over 60 years old, or if you're under a massive amount of chronic stress, you should aim for the higher end of that dosage range. In those specific situations, your baseline NAD plus is already much lower and the demolition crew tends to run much hotter. If you have tried an NAD plus supplement before and felt absolutely nothing, your dose was almost certainly too low and you stopped taking it before it actually had a chance to work. That is the single most common reason people give up on the exact molecule that could change their entire trajectory. Every single sign of aging you have ever noticed in your own body was pointing directly at this exact same molecule. The Nobel Prize researchers proved it, and the clinical data backs it up completely. You now know exactly what this molecule is, why your body is destroying it, and the specific steps you need to take to rebuild it. The science is there, the tools are available, and the protocol is simple. Now it is time for you to go do it.
