So that is what visibility does, and that's how the domino effect starts to happen. It's not about waiting for the moment. It's about strategically stepping into the spaces that expand your authority and actually create the momentum that you keep working so hard for.

Hello, friends, and welcome back to the Influencer Podcast. Today's episode is one that I've been waiting to record for a long time because it's about something that has been on my heart for years. A vision that I've had for creating something truly transformative. A space where high level women step into their next level of authority, visibility and success without questioning if they're ready or if they belong. And finally, today, I get to invite you into that space. I am officially announcing the Luminary Retreat. It is the first ever retreat that I have done, happening April 3rd and 4th in Nashville, Tennessee. This is, as I said, it's my first ever retreat that is a standalone. I've done retreats for masterminds and things like that. But this is my first ever luxury high touch retreat designed specifically for women like you, entrepreneurs who are already seeing success, but they are ready for more. More clarity, more authority, more visibility, and more ease in the way that they scale. And to be honest with you, this retreat is something that I actually needed years, years ago. And I want to tell you why today. So with that, let's get started. So I want to actually take you back to a time in my business where I kept saying I wanted more visibility, I wanted to be seen, I wanted to be known to have bigger opportunities. But the truth is that I actually wasn't putting myself in the rooms that actually made those opportunities happen. And maybe you have had a similar situation before when you have tried to cultivate, cultivate more visibility in your business and brand. I would tell myself that I needed to, quote, unquote, wait until I was more established, until I was more ready, or until I had everything perfectly dialed in, before I could take up more space, before I could be seen, before I could actually work on some of the visibility things that I wanted. So instead of applying for media features, pitching myself for speaking opportunities, putting my name forward for bigger opportunities, what I did is that I stayed in the background. I focused on refining things behind the scenes, hoping that this right moment would Just fall on my lap. And I kept telling myself, well, the more that I create, the more that I do, the more that I sell, then I'll be ready to become more visible. But the reality is that that moment never felt right. Because I was always waiting for a level of validation that was never going to come from outside of me and from the outside looking in. Everything was working. I was growing, I was hitting goals, I was creating offers, I was making sales. But inside, I felt like I was running in circles, questioning if I was even doing all of those things right. And there was always this constant hesitation with me, invisibility, like, was I truly ready to step up and be seen? I would watch other people land media features, secure speaking engagements, collaborate on big opportunities. And I kept thinking, when is it going to be my turn to do that? Like, what else do I have to do? What else do I have to achieve in order to do that? So instead of taking action, I kept focusing on the things that felt, quote unquote, safe. So for me, that was creating more content, that was tweaking my offer, that was doing all the behind the scenes work that was over analyzing every little thing, like rechecking the funnel 15 times and going through the email sequences again and signing up for this course and signing up for that course, when what I really needed to do was to position myself for visibility in the right spaces like everyone else seemed to have. The connections and the confidence, the effortless way of showing up and being seen. And I was just hoping that no one would find out that I did not have it all together. And so I later realized that I wasn't just struggling with a fear of belonging. I was hesitating and filling up my space with all of this busy work so I didn't have to truly put myself out there. And the turning point came when I finally stopped waiting and I started intentionally stepping into the spaces where these visibility opportunities actually existed. So here's the breakdown of what happened. I reached out for collaborations, I applied for speaking engagements, I put my name forward on media features even when I didn't feel a hundred percent ready, even when I hadn't even made. And I'm going to talk about this more in a moment, but I hadn't even hit six figures in my business yet. And that's when everything started to shift. Because visibility isn't about waiting until you feel prepared, or isn't about waiting until you make seven figures. It's about putting yourself in the path of opportunities that expand your authority and accelerate your growth. So when I started to put myself out there. What happened? It's crazy. The results started coming faster. So first I was getting covered in media, which then led to an opportunity to work with an interior design firm and to be featured on people.com and I actually had my house renovated for free and it was valued at over $250,000. Now, mind you, this was before I even had 10,000 followers. And this is before I had even hit a six figure income in my business. It was before I had a course. It was before I was coaching. It all started because I gave myself the permission to step into the visibility and to stop waiting. So then that visibility opportunity then led to speaking on smaller stages and at networking events and at people's gatherings, which then built my confidence to start my podcast. Then that podcast, it opened doors to bigger speaking opportunities. A seven figure course, a book deal with HarperCollins, over a million dollars in brand partnerships, features on over 200 podcasts. Here's the secret to the domino effect. I didn't become visible because I had a seven figure business with an engaged audience. I built a seven figure business with an engaged audience because I created the visibility opportunities first. Visibility wasn't the byproduct of all of that success. It was the actual catalyst for it. I wanted visibility, yes, but I wasn't actually doing what was needed to create it. And until I started doing the things that was needed to create it is when things actually started to shift in my favor, when things started to actually move. And the reason why I wanted to share this story is that I see this happen all the time with all of you brilliant women in my world. You say you want more visibility, but you aren't actively and intentionally stepping into the spaces where these opportunities happen. You're not putting yourself in the path of opportunity to actually receive this. So instead, you keep waiting for the right moment. You keep waiting for the perfect offer. You keep waiting to hit some kind of income goal. You keep waiting for the bigger audience. You keep waiting to go viral. But the truth is, visibility isn't something you wait for. It is something that you create. The deep rooted fear, that deep rooted belief that we have to compete, or that there's not enough space for all of us, or that we have to figure it out all on our own, or that we have to hit some kind of benchmark that we place upon ourselves until we're ready and worthy of being in the rooms that we desire. It's not real. Because here's what I do know. Being in the right room changes Everything. And you don't need the permission to do that. Because when you're surrounded by other people who see your brilliance, who challenge you, who stretch you, who help you see your own genius in a new way, that's when the transformation and the confidence and the actual propelling of the visibility starts to happen. And this is why I am doing the luminary retreat in April in Nashville. Because I know firsthand that the biggest shifts happen when you stop waiting and you start intentionally positioning yourself for the opportunities that you say that you want that are going to change everything. And that is what this retreat is going to do. If you're interested in learning more, stay put. I'm going to be sharing more in just a moment, but I actually want to walk you through first what visibility actually means, because it's not what a lot of people say that it is, and it's not what a lot of you think that it is. I know that so many of you hear the word visibility and you immediately think of social media. More followers, more engagement, more viral content. And sure, while that's a part of it, true visibility is so much bigger than just being seen on Instagram. In fact, a lot of that visibility that I cultivated for myself, that I was sharing you in my own journey, started before Instagram was even what we know it to be today. As I said, I didn't even have 10,000 followers when I got featured in people.com. visibility is about putting yourself in the direct path of the opportunities that you want. So for me, that meant saying yes to the media features before I thought I was ready.
