It's really about, what are you really meant to be doing? And how does everything, marketing, messaging, positioning your leadership, affect that?

Welcome back to the show. Today's episode is not a strategy breakdown, and it's not a list of marketing tactics. It's really meant to be an identity shift, and it's one that has been quietly rising under the surface of so many conversations that I have been having with my clients and even with my peers in this industry and even with myself. And so I knew that I had to drop in with this, because if I felt this, if my peers are feeling this, and if my clients are feeling this, you are most likely feeling this, too. So let's get started. So I was voice messaging one of my friends that's also in this industry the other day, and we were talking, talking about how we are shifting in this industry from being so. From a marketing perspective, being so heavily dependent upon the product and the offer and the transformation and what it provides as being the strategy into something new. And what I was telling her is that people don't just pay for strategy. They really do pay to be in your presence, and your presence is the product. And even though on some level she's known this, I've known this. The way in which we were talking about it just landed differently this time because of so many conversations that I have been having with my clients during this season. Because the truth is this. We are no longer in the age of performative leadership. We are truly in the era of a new, embodied presence and how we lead. And for women like us, those of us who we've built the programs, we've refined the offers, we've done the work, the game has changed. Clients are not magnetized to your offer outline. They are not magnetized to your follower number. They are not magnetized to, you know, how many stages you speak on or how popular your podcast is or how great your website looks. They are magnetized to you when you are fully seated in your power. And here is what I have been seeing again and again and again, especially with my accelerator clients. It's not that their offer is broken. It's not that they need to burn it down. It is that the way that they have been leading, the way that they have been showing up and articulating that from a messaging standpoint is getting blurred. And here's what I mean. They keep trying to sell from this former version of clarity that they had, or they keep trying to sell to a former version of an ideal client, but they're living from this disconnection. And what happens is that your ideal clients start to feel this even before you speak a word. We are literally living in a world of saturated expertise, but are truly starving for that coherence and that deeper connection. Your ideal client isn't looking for more value, they're not looking for more transformation, they're not looking for more features, they're not looking for more of any of that. She is truly looking for a mirror. She is looking for the version of herself that you already embody in your life, in your business and in your leadership. And when you start to show her this, she doesn't need the bells and whistles, she doesn't need the convincing, she doesn't need all of the, the tactics and the hacks she feels called into your world. And I want to kind of break this down a little bit more and how it's coming up with my actual client. So I have been seeing this pattern, if you will, in my world with my clients. There was one that when she came to me, she didn't understand why her offer wasn't landing. And as we went through the offer suite, as we went through, you know, who her ideal client was, her vast experience, she could very experienced in the industry that she's in. What I quickly realized and I said to her, I said, this is not an offer issue and it is a messaging issue, but it's a messaging issue due to an identity misalignment with. What I mean by that is that she has a premium offer that she keeps trying to offer to a non premium client. What do I mean by that? I mean she has a higher level, more sophisticated offer that is meant to serve a more sophisticated buyer, but she's been watering it down to try to appeal to more people, I don't want to say everyone, but just appeal to more people. Which means she was leaving this unconscious opportunity, this door open, if you will, to call in a bunch of newbies and beginners who were not at a place financially, energetically or emotionally to actually afford her offer. So then what did she do? She said, oh, the problem must be me. So instead of trying to target a sophisticated audience, let me just water down the offer and make this offer for beginners only. So then she went and she like revamped her entire offer and she made it very beginner friendly. And then she went out into the marketplace and she said, okay guys, here it is. It's ready for you to buy. And then guess what happened? They still didn't buy.
Why?
Because it wasn't the offer. They are not in a place to buy what it is that she's offering. No matter how much she tries to shape shift or to change or to sand the edges of the offer to fit their needs, they are not in a buying position. And when this happens, we don't try to sand the edges of our offer to fit non buyers. Instead we have to reposition how we are showing up, how we are leading and how that messaging and marketing also supports that leadership to actually call in the buyers that are ready to buy. And this was a huge thing for her. I saw this happen a couple of times with some other women that I work with in my accelerator program. Another amazing client that I have that has years of experience in her industry, who she comes from investment and financing and just a wealth of knowledge. A major unlock happened for her, this big shift where she said that some things had kind of started to show up in her business. She had this crazy thing kind of come out of the blue. It's confidential, so I won't share where that is. But it started to open up all kinds of things for her about what kind of work she really wanted to be doing. This is what she said to me. She said it's opening up all kinds of things for me about what kind of work I really want to be doing. I have been thinking that, that maybe part of why the messaging hasn't been landing for people lately is because I wasn't fully in it. I'm just going to let that drop for a moment because how many of us can relate to that? Whether it's that that I just shared or whether it was the first story of the other client that kept trying to water down to appeal to the masses. It's coming from the same place. It's really about what are you really meant to be doing and how does everything, marketing, messaging, positioning your leadership affect that. If you've been feeling maybe that your messaging hasn't been fully landing, maybe it's because you haven't named out loud, that it's likely because you're watering your offer down or you're not fully in it, or you're trying to sand the versions of yourself to fit a client that you are no longer meant to serve.

When.
I first launched my online coaching business I was juggling everything like so many of us. Writing the content, managing the DMs, setting up the offers, doing all the backend funnels, figuring out how to make it all look and feel aligned not only from a brand perspective but from a customer experience perspective.
And honestly it was so overwhelming.
I remember thinking back at that time how I wish that I had had a business partner that really support the backend while I focused on what I do best which is messaging strategy and serving my clients. But as we know, being able to.
Do our best requires us to have.
A lot of systems and processes to support that. And that is why I love to recommend Shopify. Shopify powers millions of businesses globally including coaches, service providers and creatives. This is massive self awareness my friends and huge breakthroughs and this is where I have to always mirror the realization back with my clients to let them know. And I want to let you know too. A funnel won't fix this. The best messaging in the world will not fix this. The best marketing hacks in the world will not Fix this. The best, you know, operations manager coming in, the best frac CEO coming in, none of that will fix that. If your frequency, how you want to be seen, who you truly are, your leadership and stepping into that does not shift. This is about you starting to step into a new role in identity. And this moment is not about rushing or tweaking. It is about honoring the full body recalibration that is happening on a visceral level. And I have been having so many similar conversations with high level women in my accelerator program who are realizing, and this is what happens when we start to work together, they realize, oh my gosh, I have outgrown versions of what I've built and I have not let myself and my offer and my premium client catch up to that. So what we need to do, and I'm going to be walking this through, but what I work with my clients on when these moments happen, is first full stop permission, full permission to start shifting your positioning toward a more aligned business that you're being pulled into. And this is where I come in to help you leverage everything that you've already built into this next chapter. Whether it's a pivot, whether it's a graceful exit, whether it's a deepening of something. And then once that happens, once the deeper work around who you're becoming and what you actually need and want to move forward to leadership, then we can start pulling in the messaging genius and the positioning strategies to support that next level of leadership and visibility. That is the big piece here. And I think that for so many of you, especially if you're feeling this right, that you're either pivoting and you may be trying to deny it, or for something, maybe you're watering things down. This is where it gets even more nuanced. This shift isn't about pulling back from your offers or disappearing from your business. It's about anchoring in so deeply that who you are is what sells without needing to say much at all. And this is what I mean when I say your presence is the product. Not your content, not your process, not your proof, not your degree, not your funnel, your presence. And when you walk into a room or onto a zoom and your energy says, I am clear, I am safe, I am true. This is who I'm for. This is not who I'm for.
This is how I roll.
Are you ready? You don't need a pitch deck. That identity speaks before your messaging even does. And that is what, in this season, we are being claimed to ask, not just for us. But for the women watching us, the women wanting to work with us, the women calibrating to us, being change by us. So this isn't a permission slip to avoid doing the work. Quite the opposite. This is the work because that's the real calibration. And when you really start to allow yourself to be coached in this way, to be supported in this way, to have someone that can truly mirror and anchor you into who you really are, you can't avoid this. You can't unsee it. It is just something that happens with so many of my clients. They come to me and they're like, I am now not just seeing this in a new way, but I am finally allowing myself to radically accept that this is the way, that this is who I am, that this is who I am meant to serve, that this is the offer that I am leading with, with no apologies. And you can't energetically hold a high level client from a disembodied place. She will always feel the wobble. Even if your funnel is flawless. This is the gap that is needed. Which is why it is the gap that I help my clients close inside my accelerator programs, inside my VIP coaching, inside my masterminds. Not just through messaging, but through what has to happen first, which is the identity realignment. And for so many of you, because I know that so many of you are like my clients, you keep trying to fix this with a funnel or a new piece of copy when what you need to do first is the identity realignment piece. Because when you finally see that the quote unquote conversion issue isn't a copy problem, but it's a coherence problem that then gives you the copy problem. That's when your messaging clicks, that's when your offer lands, that's when your presence starts doing what the pitch never can. You gotta realign the identity first. And then we can work on the positioning and on the messaging. And when I tell you that it flows so much faster and so much more beautifully, when you just allow yourself to be radically honest and to accept the changes that are happening within you, within your community, within your clients, within your offer. And you don't just allow yourself to be okay with these energetic mismatches anymore. You don't allow yourself to keep watering down your offer, to try to get a buyer that you are not meant to serve, to say yes to you when they still won't say yes to you. If you no longer allow yourself to deny that small voice that's inside you right now, that's saying, I don't know if I'm meant to be doing it in this way anymore. I feel like something is deepening and something is shifting and I can't quite put my finger on it. But maybe that's why I don't feel 110% into this right now. Let me ask you, what shifts in your business when you stop selling information and performance and you start owning your embodiment? What opens when you stop explaining and you start truly emanting who you are? What recalibrates when you trust that your presence is already doing the heavy lifting if you will allow it to, if you give it permission to do so? Because for the woman listening to this right now, who knows she's outgrown a performative business, a competitive business, a comparative business. This is your moment to remember you are the portal, your presence is the product. And when that lands, everything changes. So remember that. And if this landed for you, I want to know what piece you're taking away. Was it the questions? Was it the reminder? Screenshot this episode slide into my DMs. Leave us a review. Let me know. And so you know, these are the exact kind of conversations that I love having with my clients that come with me inside my accelerator program and inside my masterminds, exciting my high level containers. Because it's not just messaging. It's identity recalibration. It is offer refinement. It is emotional precision that makes your business feel like it's finally reflecting the woman you've become and the woman you've meant to serve. And that's what I want you to know to be true. So thank you so much for being here today and every week. I will see you next week, my friends, same time, same place as always.

Podcast Summary: The Influencer Podcast - "Your Presence Is the Product: Stop Selling From Who You Used to Be"
Release Date: July 9, 2025
In the episode titled "Your Presence Is the Product: Stop Selling From Who You Used to Be," host Julie Solomon, a renowned brand strategist and best-selling author, delves deep into the transformative journey of authentic leadership and the pivotal shift from performative marketing to an embodied presence. This episode is tailored for established entrepreneurs, coaches, and creators who find that their current messaging no longer aligns with the quality of their work.
Julie Solomon emphasizes that the episode is not about dissecting marketing strategies or listing tactics. Instead, it focuses on an identity shift that many leaders are subconsciously undergoing. This shift involves moving away from traditional, performative leadership towards a more embodied and authentic presence.
A central thesis of the episode is the concept that "your presence is the product." Solomon argues that in today's saturated market, clients are less attracted to polished offers or impressive follower counts and more drawn to the authentic presence and authority of the leader.
Julie shares real-life examples from her accelerator program to illustrate the challenges leaders face when their messaging doesn't align with their true identity or the sophistication of their offers.
Example 1:
A client with a premium offer struggled because she was attempting to appeal to a less sophisticated audience by watering down her offer.
Example 2:
Another client experienced breakthroughs by aligning her work with her authentic self, realizing that her messaging wasn't landing because she wasn't fully committed to her true mission.
Solomon highlights the transition from performative leadership to a new era where leaders embody their message authentically. This shift requires an identity realignment before addressing marketing and messaging strategies.
Julie outlines the necessary steps for leaders to realign their identity with their business:
Solomon posits that when leaders embody their true selves, their presence alone becomes a powerful tool for attracting the right clients without the need for traditional sales pitches or excessive marketing efforts.
"They are magnetized to you when you are fully seated in your power."
(02:30)
"It's not the offer. They are not in a place to buy what it is that she's offering."
(06:19)
"Your presence is the product."
(11:11)
"This is who I'm for. This is not who I'm for."
(13:00)
"What we're being asked to do is not just to change our messaging, but to fundamentally change who we are as leaders."
(16:45)
Julie Solomon masterfully guides listeners through the importance of aligning personal identity with business messaging. The episode underscores that authentic leadership and presence are now paramount in attracting and retaining premium clients. Leaders are encouraged to undertake a deep, personal transformation to ensure their business offerings resonate with their true selves and the sophisticated clientele they aim to serve.
By prioritizing identity realignment over mere marketing tweaks, entrepreneurs can build sustainable sales systems that convert effortlessly, reclaim their visibility with authority, and ultimately scale their legacy without losing themselves in the process.
For established women leaders feeling disconnected from their current messaging or struggling to convert despite polished content, this episode serves as a pivotal reminder to realign their identity and embrace their authentic presence. As Julie Solomon aptly puts it:
“When you finally see that the quote unquote conversion issue isn't a copy problem, but it's a coherence problem... that's when your messaging clicks, that's when your offer lands, that's when your presence starts doing what the pitch never can.”
(17:50)
Embrace your true self, and let your presence be the product that attracts the clients you are meant to serve.
