John Clay Wolf.
D
Hey there.
A
Hey there, Sheldon. New Jersey. 68 GT, California. I don't know. We really want to buy that.
B
No, I think so.
A
I don't think so. Sheldon, what do you want for it? Pre K. Go to Sheldon. Ask him what he wants for it. I see he had a previous offer for 55, 000. So that's like a negotiation tactic. And when was that offer? And what will he take for it now? Oh, he wants 70,000. Ask him if I got him the previous offer for 55,000 if he'd take it.
D
Oh, come on. You're the master debater here. I was leaving the negotiating to you. He said master debater.
B
Since you're negotiators whenever you get a chance. John, we have a 2021 Ferrari SF90. What's that called?
A
Straggle Stradal, you redneck bastard.
B
I know it's a hybrid. I can say the word hybrid in Ferrari. So this came to me yesterday. I'll let you look at it a little bit later. We're close to what this guy wants.
A
What's he want?
B
He wants 380. Word. 375.
A
Yeah, we're on it. What's sticker six something. How many miles?
D
19.
A
It's a little hair. Yeah, that's hairy, boss. Yeah, call him back and tell him no.
B
Nope. All right. That was so simple.
A
God. I bought Russell Westbrook. Same car that had a 780 sticker.
B
Okay.
A
With 400 miles. Remember Russell Westbrook?
B
Yeah.
C
Basketball player.
A
Basketball player.
C
Basketball.
A
And we gave 400 for that? No, we gave 500 for that one.
B
Okay.
A
That car's got too many miles on it for that price.
B
Got it.
A
I think you're wrong at 375. Who is 375?
D
We are.
A
Who's we?
D
You, me and. Yeah.
B
Well, I kind of came up with the number.
A
No, you didn't, J. I'm not going
D
to let you take the fall on that one.
A
8008-0072-3480-0800 radio. Good morning, everybody. Good morning. What have you got in the news,
B
boss, how are you? Hey, give her. You think rock and roll is the most dangerous thing to be in, but so some country stars that have actually had their close call with death. For instance, this one, Trace Atkins. Now, he's a big tall guy with a big deep voice.
F
I saw this man. I saw this on cmt.
B
Yeah, you'd think he was pretty peaceful because you big guys don't have to fight because they look big and they look intimidating. But in this case, it was a ex wife who shot him. I mean, shot him. A kill shot. I mean, this was serious.
A
Didn't Jimi Hendrix do a diddy about this?
B
Did he? But.
A
Hey, Joe, Go ahead.
B
Okay. Tracy Atkins talking about is when his ex wife, Julie Curtis, shot him point blank. Cut four, Mike.
F
I don't think she even had any
A
idea what that gun was going to do.
F
She thought it was a toy.
A
Was she pulling it, like in a
C
fit of anger or was she just kind of.
A
She was mad.
D
Yeah.
A
She put it under my left arm
F
and the bullet came out under my
A
right arm, so it went straight through. Went straight through my heart and both my lungs.
F
It was a kill shot.
A
The doctor said the only reason I survived was because the bullet went through
F
at point blank velocity, at muzzle velocity, so it didn't have time to mushroom.
A
I just remember getting up off the
F
floor and then taking a few steps
A
and then going back down. Why did she shoot him? What did he do?
D
He made this song is why.
C
Turn it up.
D
Honky tonk Badonkadonk, badonka donk she was t tired of this damn song.
A
Have you heard this thing?
B
Yeah, I have.
A
Oh, God, have I heard? We play it good and loud, she might get up and dance again.
B
Yeah, this is. Of all his songs, this is probably the worst.
F
Oh, she put her beard down.
A
Here she comes, here she comes. Left, left, left, right, left.
D
I mean, I would shoot somebody for this song. Wouldn't you?
F
Hey, Julie, where you going without a gun in your hand? Oh, God, that's terrifying.
B
Terrifying. Oh, can you imagine? No, I know. Yeah, I know. Never mind. Ah, I know a guy in radio got shot by his wife, too, but I probably shouldn't talk about it.
F
Okay,
A
well, Russ Martin didn't get shot by his wife. Did he go to jail for Pulling on his girlfriend.
B
He didn't he go to. Well, yes, he got arrested for pulling a gun on his girlfriend at the time. Correct.
A
Well, who shot their wife or who got shot by their wife? I just said it. Why would you bring it up?
B
That's why.
E
I mean, why?
A
I thought I left my wife at the house.
B
That's why.
D
I didn't know.
A
I brought her up here next to me to sit next to me.
B
I just don't.
A
I can't tell you.
D
Why would you bring it up?
B
I don't want to get sued. I stopped right in the middle.
C
I went down.
B
Never mind.
A
I mean, how would they sue you if it's true?
B
Well, it's a true story.
A
Well, then, okay, so you could only get sued for liable if it's not true.
B
Okay. Jody Dean.
A
Oh, really?
C
Yes.
B
He's talked about it on the air, so it's not a big secret.
A
But why are you acting like a.
D
About it? He.
A
I'll come over there and knock you out.
B
I'll show you. I'm sorry.
A
Oh, don't. I'm sorry. Did he say, I'm going to kick your ass. I'm sorry.
B
That's not my. It's not my character to.
F
You ever met Jod.
A
Certainly the rest of the country didn't
F
know if you did.
A
You know why that's so true?
D
He was kind of.
B
He was.
A
Yeah, he was kind of. He wasn't gay.
D
No, no.
A
Just.
B
He was just a real arrogant. Yeah.
A
Is he.
D
Oh, God. He's that dj, that Sheldon in Jersey.
A
You there?
C
Yeah, I'm here.
A
Where in Jersey?
C
Brunswick.
A
Where are you going right now? Sound like you're on the road.
C
Yeah, I'm just in another one of my cars. I'm just driving home.
A
Do you have a bunch of cars?
C
I got a few, yeah.
A
Like 18?
C
No, like five.
A
Okay, 68 California. You got a 60 out. California. 68 Mustang. California now.
C
No, no, no. 68 over Jet. 68 Cobra. Jet. California build. They only built 171 of them in California. This is. There's one of 14 low option cars.
A
GT and it was restored in the 90s. And is it a manual four speed? Were they four speeds or three speeds?
C
No, four speed, four speed. Manual. No console. No console.
A
Where's the console? Was it deleted or did you just not restore it with it and.
C
No, no, no, no. Just not with. Some of them came without console. Came without the console. Came without the fold down rear seat. The only option this car has on it was that it was a 428. And therefore a GT by default. So it's a 428 Cobra Jet. They built 1299 of them. 171 of them were built in California. This is one of the California cars. So it's a double R code. It's an R code for California. It's an R code for the 428 Cobra jet.
A
Y' all thought Corvette guys were bad?
F
Wow.
C
I'm a. I'm in a Corvette. I'm in the Corvette right now.
A
What kind of Corvette?
C
13Z06, fully built, motor Y, nice and lumpy.
A
Okay, so your car, you got. You turned down 55,000 for it. How long ago?
C
December 2025.
A
Do you have a cut of that? I turned it down. I asked Baba we could go to get it for you where you'll have it right there at your fingertips.
F
Yeah, it's on the. It's on the run sheet.
A
No, I asked you to put it on a stinger so we could use it a lot. Like for moments just like this. So I. Would you do that when we're.
F
Yeah, that's.
A
Do you understand what I'm asking?
F
I think so.
A
It's simple. So that cut of that deal, when he says, I turned it down, I want Turley to be able to push the button and it just says that.
F
Oh, it just says that?
A
Yeah.
F
Shortened for.
A
Yeah, that's just. That's a drop.
F
Okay.
A
Okay, let's play it so everybody will know what we're talking about. Shelton, you probably don't know what we're talking about. Have you seen that? That Internet meme about the kid that says he turned down 15 million to play for a band for college?
C
No.
A
Keep listening. We'll play in a second. Okay. Would you take 55 for it? No. How long ago was it?
C
December 2025.
A
He's got everything written down. He's not October, not November, but December. And who offered you the 55?
C
A guy from Indiana, a restorer. He was looking to buy it for his customer in Virginia.
A
So what does this thing need on restoration? I think the restoration is 35 years old. It needs a paint.
C
I know. Yeah, I know. Paint is not cheap. What I estimated is I could paint the car with. With not me painting it, but I have some contacts because, you know, we restore these things. I can honestly say that anybody who tells you that it's $10,000 for a good paint job is not true.
A
Well, it's 25. It's 25. I mean, I've got my own paint shop. With my own painters. It cost me 25. Yeah, yeah.
C
I say 30 grand. I'll have this car painted. It needs a few. It needs bumpers. It needs bumpers. And the molding around the truck. Molding around the trunk should be repaired. Should be replaced.
A
Do me a favor. Do me. Do me a favor. I'm listening. I'll spend them out of time. Go to gmtvcc.com and load that car up. And you're gonna have to get better on the price if I've got to spend what you're explaining is 30 to $40,000 worth of work to get it to where it's what it's supposed to be.
C
Yeah. And that auction. The auction will start at a buck and a quarter. We all know that.
A
You know, it's so funny that we.
C
I don't know. What's your website again?
A
GiveMeTheEven.com is the website. And if you just give me the vin.com and it will go to our buyers and we just take all the pictures, the current pictures, and I'll try to buy it. I'm not. You haven't said anything that scared me off yet. I know you've got. I understand. You got a good car. Thank you, Sheldon. Stay tuned, Sheldon. E
Now back to the John Clay Wolf show, presented by givemethevin.com hit him up right now. 1, 800, 1, 800, radio. 1, 800, 800, radio. This is the John Clay Wolf show,
A
and I'm gonna jam through this real quick. This is called the lightning round Bob in Delaware. 06 Aston Martin DB9 convertible, manual, 32,000 miles. What color?
C
British racing green.
A
Okay, what is wrong with it? Any lights on? Any squeak on the brakes? Any boogers on the body?
C
Nope. Nothing.
A
30 grand.
C
Really? That.
A
That low to.06?
C
Yeah.
A
What do you. What. What were you thinking,
C
like 65?
A
Well, it says here you didn't know what it was worth when he asked you what you want for it.
C
I haven't. I haven't. I haven't looked it up in like four or five years, but last I researched, it was like mid-60s.
A
Okay, well, do. Do this.
C
I appreciate your view.
A
I mean, it's.
C
It's a. It's a manual. It's. Last year they made the manual.
A
It's a good thing.
C
And it's go to give.
A
Go. Go to givemetheven.com and let me take a VIN, look up and I'll throw it into my system and double check myself. Maybe I'm wrong.
C
All right, cool.
A
I want to buy Chris in Pennsylvania. 74K10, four wheel drive, 100,000 miles. Is it a long bed or a short?
C
It's a long bed.
A
If you want 55,000 for that thing, it would need to be a. It would need to be a short bed, and it would need. They need to be. Unbelievably, it's a.
C
Well, it is an old original truck.
A
It need to be better than original. All right, I'm gonna hung up on Chris Robert in North Carolina. 89 Camaro RS. Which engine? Is it a 5 liter?
C
Yes, it's a 5.0.
A
Is it a stick?
C
No, it's automatic.
A
89 Camaro RS. T tops. Small rust in the trunk. Was it 10 grand?
C
I was looking.
A
I was looking, Frankie, like 12. Yeah. Will you fix the rust in the trunk?
C
No, no, no. The rest is still there.
A
No, will you fix it? I mean, if you want me to pay more, then somebody's got to fix it.
C
Got it, got it, got it. Okay. Okay. Got it. And that is not the best you can do. 10.
A
I mean, I'm not looking at it. I need pictures. Can you take pictures of it and send it to givemetheven.com?
F
oh, yeah, man.
C
Absolutely. Absolutely.
A
I buy these a Lot. I buy them a lot. I mean, if it was a manual, I'd go up. But it's not a Z28. It is a. It's eight cylinder RS. So it's got the. The skirts. Right. And it does have the spoiler. The big hoop spoilers, right?
C
No, no, it doesn't have the big spoilers, actually. It doesn't.
A
Okay, I'll still take a look. Put it in. Mark in Arkansas. Are you a chicken farmer?
C
Hello.
B
What?
C
How you doing?
A
Are you a chicken farmer? Because I only deal with chicken farmers on 91 Ford Rangers that are from Arkansas.
C
Sure I am.
A
Are you? Actually, no. There's a lot of them around there.
F
Yeah.
A
91 Ranger XLT with 90,000 miles. How do I know it's not 190,000 miles?
C
It's not.
A
How do I know?
C
So my parents like I that. I mean, because, you know, they didn't do the whole hundred thousand back then. My parents bought it and. So my parents bought it and the guy that had it was a preacher supposedly. And at 10,000 miles, he blew the motor up. So they ended up putting a 92 motor in.
A
The preacher blew the motor up in Arkansas on the chicken farm.
F
Yes.
A
Now your mama, she wasn't a mile cutter, was she? Do you know what a mile cutter is?
C
No.
A
Okay. So anyway, back then they only had 5 digit otos. So when it got to 99.9, it would roll over and start over. And that's why I asked, did they buy it brand new or they buy it used?
C
They bought it used.
A
What if the guy before them chopped the miles off of it? You know those Arkansas guys, they're shifty. They'll get you. What kind of shape is the pain in? Has it been sitting outside or. It's been sitting inside.
C
It's been sitting outside.
A
So the paint's just smashed. I mean, it's just burnt off, right?
C
Correct.
A
Wow. This is like a confessional. In the preacher. The preacher. Where's the preacher? Can we get him in the sink?
C
I don't know where he's at.
A
Are you mad at him for blowing up the motor? No, I am. All right, I'll give. Is it a six cylinder or four? Probably four.
C
It's four. Banger. Yeah.
A
I mean, it needs a paint job.
C
It's worth standard.
A
It's worth five. It's worth a thousand. Maybe those things are actually worth something. A 91 Ranger, if it's a good shape. I need pictures of this thing. Take pictures and go to givemetheven.com and load it up and let me see what you got. Put preacher ranger on the listing and we'll remember it. My name's John Clay Wolfe. We'll be right back. An epidemic is sweeping across our once great nation and its name.
E
The John Clay Wolf Show.
C
I do think that the lettuce that got attacked is tough. Iceberg lettuce is the working man's lettuce. It's the lower middle class of lettuce. It just shows up with a hard hat on and it just works for you. Iceberg loved you before anybody loved you. Iceberg didn't deserve this. It deserved. Arugula deserved this.
E
We will return to the John Claywell Show, America's number one Saturday morning show. JCWShow.com call John toll free. Cheap bastards. 800, 800 radio. The John Clay Wolf Show.
A
Did y' all know that comedians are like, bringing in the crowds now of major artists?
B
Yes.
A
Shane Gillis broke a world record about 10 days ago in Philly with 76, 000 attendance.
B
Dear God. Really?
A
I mean, he had Chappelle with him, but so, I mean, I love Chappelle, But I mean, 76, 000 for a comedy show.
B
Unbelievable. I've seen Matt rife pull in 20, which I thought was huge.
A
It is huge.
B
Six is insane.
A
Yeah.
B
For a one guy standing on stage. On stage.
A
That's amazing.
B
Yeah.
A
You know, Shane Gillis is funny. I like him, but I don't think he's that funny. I don't think he's like. The funniest thing I ever saw him do was when he called Nick Saban Indiana Jones.
C
Right.
A
Because he was arguing with him about paying off players.
F
Right, Right.
A
Because he's a big Notre Dame head. He said, well, that's easy for you to say, Indiana Jones, but, I mean,
F
I wouldn't even say he's hit or miss, you know, he hosted an episode of Saturday Night Live. Was it this year? Last year?
A
This past year, yeah.
F
It's pretty good episode. You know, I didn't know the guy. I was like, who's this? You know, I wouldn't say he's hit or miss at all. He's just got that sensibility, you know, some guys like you remember. Who's the guy that talked really slow?
A
I don't know.
F
We're gonna get on a bus and meet a blonde Chinese girl. I don't know, Stephen.
B
I know. I. I can see his face. I can't think of his.
F
Why is the Alphabet in that order?
B
Right. He just does that observational humor. Real Right.
F
Because of that song?
A
No, no.
B
I don't know.
A
I don't know. Did you play last night?
F
We didn't.
A
Why?
F
Well, our engaged artist was already there. We had some sound work going on the board, and I had a lot of things to do here.
A
Gotcha.
F
So, yeah, Priority, man.
A
Babo does a set at our honky Tonk in Walnut Springs, Texas, every Saturday night at what time?
F
7.7ish.
A
Right.
F
You know, we're not gonna. We're not gonna drag it out for two people, but, you know, if we get a. Yeah, we get 12 or 15, we'll go. Sometimes we'll go anyway, you know, if we're free. We got time. It's last. Last set we did was pretty good.
A
I still like that song. You play that Stephen Bishop song the best.
F
Oh, yeah.
B
Speaking of that, did you hear that Keith Urban has come out with a yacht rock album? And that's one of the songs on. In fact, there are several songs. You kind of grew up in the yacht rock era.
A
Of course. The back of my mom's Buick.
B
There you go.
A
Jamming ass.
B
See, I'm Pulled a couple of tracks here for you. See, I don't think Keith Urban.
A
It's surprising licensed.
F
Oh.
A
To touch that material in my mind.
C
Why?
A
Because he's not worthy. That's like some of the greatest music of all kind. And he and Luke Bryan and the rest of them need to stay the f. Away from it.
F
Well, I mean, I. Listen, there's a. I mean, there's. There's a huge gulf between Luke Bryan and Keith Urban. I mean, yes, at least Keith plays his own guitar. And I do like his singing voice. He reminds me of Steve Warner back in the day.
A
Hey, what Georgia county line is going to. Or Georgia Florida line or whatever is going to play Olivia Newton John next?
F
No, they should play like two live crew.
A
Let's hear an example.
B
7.1 Michael. See if you know what song this is.
A
Magnet and Steel. Walter.
B
Walter Egan. Not bad,
C
This roller skate music, man.
B
Sure is.
A
Will you couple skate with me?
F
Couples only. Couples only.
B
You want to hear another one?
A
No, all couples skate with me. No, all skate.
B
John's. John's bringing up trauma.
A
Heather Hoss. So we're. We're couple skating, holding hands.
C
And.
A
And it's my birthday party, and she's holding my wrist instead of my hand.
B
That's not nice.
A
And then she got flirty later on. This was in fourth grade. And then she wanted some action, like in college. And I'm like, yeah, hey, babe, you wrecked My birthday party.
B
Nice. Way to let it go, John.
A
She was my girlfriend, Right. We're couple skating. She's holding on to my wrist.
B
Not cool.
F
No. Maybe she's insecure or something. They, you know, they're. Women are strange when they're not
B
and 20.
A
But I mean, I remember being back
F
in those days, I had the same girlfriend from the second grade to the sixth grade, so.
B
Did she know it?
F
Yeah. Oh, yeah.
B
I'm just checking. Cut. 7.2.
F
Dirty work.
A
Steely dude. Nope, nope, nope. Oh, guitar man. Tulsa, Oklahoma.
B
David, who'd you date?
A
David. David. David. David, the bread guy.
F
David Gates. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
Hang on. Let's listen to. Yeehaw. Country. Sing this. I'm not gonna admit that I like it. Okay.
B
Yes, you are.
D
It's good.
B
You do like it.
F
It's not poor, but you remember on the first song we played, he kind of sang it note for note, but soft. Keith Urban style.
A
He's country in this one.
F
He's getting a little yodely.
A
He's got a little chicken fried, a little batter, a little chicken fried. Just a little pepper. Can you pass over the. Pretty good. I hate it.
B
You don't hate it.
A
So what's this called?
B
Yeah.
A
No. What's the album call? I'm not going to buy it. I just wondered.
B
It doesn't say.
A
Keith Urban. Flow state.
B
Flow, state.
F
Flow, state.
B
And you are?
A
Sounds like my old lady. Once a month.
B
Ah, stop it. And here's one that Babo plays from time to time at the bar, which we've all. He's actually played this on the air before. Cut seven.
A
Hang on, hang on.
B
Yeah.
A
What should we compare? Can you grab an ax? Do you have one tuned? Oh, he loves it when I do this. Why don't we do this and you get that and we'll do it. So this would buy us a minute.
B
7.3. Tell me when you know it. That'll do it.
A
He's getting his country in on this one.
B
Hey, it's that crying sound.
D
Sounds good though.
B
I'd listen to the whole thing. The whole album. Every one of them's good.
A
Probably the best thing he's ever done because it's not his crappy music. Oh, wow.
B
You don't like Keith Urban at all?
A
Blind Dorian, Are you blind and deaf or just blind in Pittsburgh?
C
Well, my ears ring.
A
Okay, what's your. What's your comment on all this?
C
Keith Urban is elevator music.
A
Who are you? Your quarterback's coming back, correct?
C
Yeah, they're in the third. They're in the fourth day up at. Up. You know, at the camp up there. They do 21 days there, then they. No, they got a game coming up, too, on a Saturday night, not a Friday night.
A
Well, you're all over the country, so explain who they is.
C
Steelers.
A
Okay. And we're talking about Favre. Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers. Sorry I had the wrong packer.
C
Yeah, yeah. Aaron. Yeah. Hey. He, he, he, he, he. So far, the report that I got from the. I guess first, second today would be the fourth practice.
A
Okay, when we come back, we are going to compare Keith Urban's on and on to a sample of bobbo doing of doing it live. Is that fair?
B
Yes, that'd be awesome.
A
And the winner gets five bucks.
D
All right.
A
Keith Urban versus Bobbo. We'll be back in a minute. My name is John Clay Wolf. This is John Clay Wolf show. You can watch it jc wshow.com right now. And if you have a car that you'd like to sell, go to. Give me the VI N. Give me the VIN. Givein.com. america's best car buyer. What's that?

E
Heard every Saturday morning across America.
A
Get out, man.
E
Now back to the John Clay Wolf show.
A
So, as promised, we're going to have Keith Urban, the country dude, singing Stephen Bishops on and on and compete him on this game show against our own bobbo doing it live. Blind Dorian in Pittsburgh, are you there?
C
Yes.
A
You're gonna be a judge. I want your opinion of who the winner is. Speech impediment. Terrence in Austin, are you there?
C
Yes, I'm here.
A
Okay, listen close because you. You and Dorian are gonna pick the winner. Okay?
C
Okay.
A
Let's go play Keith.
D
This is Keith's version here. What was.
A
We're gonna go through the whole intro. Sure.
B
It's not very long.
A
I don't think country singers should be playing yacht rock.
C
Why?
A
I just think it's kind of like.
F
It's a stretch, man, but late 70s, early 80s, there was a lot of that. Millsap was doing a lot of, you know, this.
B
Boston, the 50s. Tonight, she loves my car let's listen
A
so we can compare. And she smiles when she feels like crying. All right, Bobbo, if you win this, the extra prize is sex with Nicole Kidman.
C
I can't.
F
I can't hate that version. It's very pleasant to listen to.
A
All right, you're up.
B
And remember, Keith was in the studio and completely Produced.
F
We gotta buy a better electric guitar, man.
A
Sounds like a banjo.
F
It does. Down in Jamaica they got lots of pretty women Steal your money Then they break your heart Lost some sushi in love with all Sam Taken from the fry to the frying pan on and on she just keeps on trying
A
and
F
she smiles which it feels like dying on and on on and on on
A
and on all right, not bad for a white guy.
D
So now the votes.
A
All right, Blind Dorian, who's your winner?
C
Bravo.
A
Speech impediment. Terrence, who is your winner?
C
The second one.
A
Okay, that's Bob, the white guy.
B
Both white.
A
Tom and Boston, who's your winner?
C
I really can't pick one.
A
Is that close. Jared in Columbus, Ohio, who's your winner? Bobbo or Keith Urban? It's $5 to Baba Friendly Friendly up.
D
5.
A
I thought it was 5. And sex with Nicole.
C
Kids.
F
5. I turned it down.
A
We play the thing. So we're trying to play them. Let's just do the whole thing.
F
Let me.
A
Let me explain what we're talking about. Here we go.
F
This is crazy.
A
It's hilarious.
D
Do you want to set it up?
F
There's a deal. There's a group on Instagram. They posted and reposted the same video clip daily. The exact same cut, the exact same clip for 18 months now. Trying to play with the algorithm that keeps track of our viewing habits on the web. And the numbers different every day. You go look at it, there's like. I mean, there's like 600 of them up there, right?
A
So. So every single day, they post the exact same clip at the exact same time and get different results on the same account. Some days it's 8 million. Some days it's 800. Some days it's 80,000. Another day it's 560, then it's 2,000. So it just shows you guys that are. That are posting things on the Internet, on social media, like, why didn't that one fire? Why didn't that work? Why did that one work? Oh, my God. I did this. And it wasn't as good as the other one. Why did this one work so well? It's because you're not in control of it. And this is a perfect example. So they took this cut of this sports talk radio kind of guy interviewing this fella that is still grinding from the rap, as you will hear. And he was offered 15. No, maybe it was 10. I think it might have been 5 million to play in a college band like Grambling on the drums. But at the end of all that negotiation. He turned it down.
B
He did. Cut 12.
C
Where'd you go to college?
A
I ain't go to college, but I turned it down. Oh, yeah. I turned it down just to do this, just to grind from the rap.
C
So you had an opportunity to do the driving thing, scholarship and everything, right in Jacksonville.
A
And they offered me like, 15, 10
F
million or something like that. Five million? Something like that.
A
A scholarship.
C
Okay.
F
But not $5 million.
A
What for y'?
C
All?
A
Like, you know what I'm saying? But I was so younger. Like, wait, wait, wait.
F
I didn't know what it was.
C
Are you sure they offered you $5 million?
F
Turned it down.
A
It was a scholarship. Like, I had to go to school for this decade.
F
But you would get 5 million.
A
Yeah, I turned it down.
D
He turned it down.
B
Turned it down.
A
There's no way.
D
Oh, no.
A
It's just holding. Yeah, that. That's what's so funny.
B
He didn't even know the number 15. Maybe 10 was five.
A
I turned it down.
B
Yeah.
A
8008-0072-3480-0800 radio. If you had a large opportunity in your career or life, maybe it's marrying some rich girl and the father was willing to give you 15, 10, 5 million, something like that. But she's so fat and ugly, you couldn't take it. You turned it down. Or you had a big promotional situation and you turned it down. I would love to hear your quick story at 800-800-723-4.
D
You've had to have something where you've.
A
I turned it down. I've turned it down.
D
I know. I mean, I'm JD Radio. I know you've got a great story
B
about Jack Daniels turning down a crazy number. You want it? Jack Daniels brand is not for sale. A rival spirits company came up and said they'll buy Jack Daniels for 15 billion with a B. Take over. It's just crazy. Number. It's the Brown family ownership of the group formerly just.
A
I turned it down.
B
Turned it down. And for the record, if you know, this is actually a little clip. And this is. This shows brand loyalty. Actually. Cut number three.
A
How's that inventory coming? Jim Beam and Early Times.
B
Clear them little bottles off.
A
Call up Hyman. Tell him I want it wall to
F
wall with John Daniels.
A
Don't you mean Jack Daniels? He may be jacked to you, son, but when you've known him as long as I have. That's a joke.
B
It's a joke, son.
F
You've known him as long as I have.
B
$15 billion.
D
There's that as a Buyout Much money in whiskey.
B
Oh, God, Lord.
A
So there was.
B
Yes.
A
How longer was that?
B
This just last couple of weeks.
A
Okay. Because the booze business is down a lot in general.
B
It is, yes.
F
That's from Sazerac. Now there's a more traditional European company that has like a century of family business in spirits and they're, they're wanting a bit on it now. I hope they don't.
A
I turned down a nice offer to sell Give me the vin about three years ago, I turned it down.
B
I turned it down.
A
I did, I turned it. And about once a week when everybody's bitching and complaining and I've got stack of problems and everybody's lined out my office, you're wishing. I wish I hadn't turned it down. No, I, I had a reason. I, I just, my wife's like, what would you do? You just get in trouble is what you'll do, Right. You want anything to do. So I turned to death.
B
People ask me from time to time, is John gonna sell the company? I go, no, he loves this, he loves the radio thing. This is his motor, man.
A
Yeah, it's fun.
F
You're men. You impacted upon us what your mentor, your, your ex father in law told you about, you know, why would you
A
sell a company that makes a lot of money, Right? But this year it's not making any money. Oh, so I think he was wrong.
F
Well, you need to transition into guns and dope.
A
Guns and dope?
B
Yeah.
A
I mean, when you had your little weed business on the sign back in 100 years ago, did anybody ever try to buy it? Because it's the same my company? Yeah.
F
Hell no.
A
Hell no.
D
I didn't know it was.
A
I mean, like, if somebody offered to buy that little weed hustle, would it, would the 85 Mustang have been part of it? Company fleet on the balance sheet?
F
No, no. It takes colossal nuts to sell guns and dope on the outskirts of Cincinnati, where I grew up.
C
Wow.
D
He's moved. Noah's in Cincinnati.
F
The rural, the rural portion of Cincinnati. Fried chicken everywhere. Yeah. Anybody's house, any time of day. I see.
B
Deliver.
F
Not spicy, even barbecue.
A
We got to go out. We'll be right back. We're not going to turn it down. And we hope you don't. And if we're losing you on the east coast, I think we're losing New York city right now. E
Jcwshow.com so how much do I get paid?
A
25 bucks a car. You don't get paid.
C
You work on commission.
D
That's better than being paid.
A
$50,000 Porsche might make you five grand.
E
Now, now, John Clay Wolf.
A
Oh, cars, cars, cars, man. This week was, we had a great big auction in Dallas on Wednesday. Our classic and collector auction. We had 100 cars and we had, I had like 720 cars for this week. But the CNC sales, the old car sale I did once a month the last Wednesday of every month takes a lot more work than normal cars. And I was in California working last week, as you know, had to get back to Dallas to do the auction Wednesday morning and ran into some problems. Air travel, can you imagine that?
F
Oh man. Yeah. Yeah.
A
And you know, my auctioneers like why don't you just do it remote with the, with the radio unit. I'm like, I can't do that. Classic collector silver mode. I got to be there because they're counting on me to give good descriptions. And there's a lot of people that travel in person to do that auction. As far as the buyers where the other stuff, so much of it simulcast, it's no big deal. But this was like, I got to be there. My flight left LAX at 3:30am oh, red eye. Wednesday morning, Texas time.
F
Red eye out of Cali.
E
Damn.
F
Some interesting folks on that side.
A
I did pay 300 extra dollars that my wife said don't bother. And then I started thinking about it. It's like I've got to get some sleep. I must, I've been up since six in the morning. I, I can't do that. I'm not an all nighter guy.
B
No.
A
And I paid 300 extra dollars to get first class. I never, I Mean, if they give you a free one there. If they give you a free one, always do it. I just don't buy first class.
B
Gotcha.
A
Shanae. 360 was sitting next to me. £360. £360.
D
Was she there when you got there or did she come in?
A
Came in. Oh, no, that's the worst.
B
You sit there in the seat and you look up and go, no, please, not next to me, please.
A
Don't know is I was sitting with her too close during the two hour wait in the lobby, waiting to get on the plane. And she's sitting there. She's a mumble talker. Oh, you know what that is?
B
To herself or to somebody else? Man to her.
A
Man on FaceTime.
D
Oh, God, I hate that.
B
Oh, that's awful. That's awful.
A
And all the seats were full. There was nowhere I could go besides get on the floor. And I finally opted to just sit on the floor to get away from this woman.
D
They let you do that?
A
No, I'm talking about in the, in the, the two hours of, of the
B
lobby in the terminal.
A
You know where all the seats are in the terminal? Yeah, she's hell and he's hubba. And then I asked her one time, I was like, this is a Larry David moment.
B
Boy, it really is. If you're gonna.
A
Could I. Could you please stop doing that? Because I'm trying to sleep in the terminal. Could you please stop someone? I was like, will you stop talking?
B
You went full blown Larry David.
A
And then she told her man that I asked her to stop talking, that I'm annoying her. So her man, of course, wanted to talk to me.
B
He's gonna get in on.
D
Put him on the phone real quick.
A
So she's handing the phone over to me and I'm sitting here talking to this guy that looks like a linebacker meets police sergeant, laying in bed with his shirt off, of course, in a large gold chain, telling me that I don't have the right to tell her to be quiet. So I moved because he was right. I didn't want him to come through the phone and kill me. And so we get on the plane and the first class gets to board first. Sure, I'm sitting there. This is gonna be great. I'm gonna catch a couple hours. Three hour flight, I'm gonna catch a couple hours. And they stuck her ass right next to me.
D
Was she still on the phone all the way up?
A
She got back on it after she got in. Then the flight attendant came over and told her to quit. So I didn't get a lot of sleep. Heading back. And then she wanted to talk to me. She wasn't mad at me by telling her to shut up earlier.
B
You're buddies now.
A
Yeah. So anyway, I. I land in Dallas at 6:30.
B
Oh, Jesus.
A
I go get my car where I had it parked, drive to the auction. It's eight getting ready for the sale. It starts at 9:30. We start the auction at 9:30. I've come across the country in the middle night to be here and make sure this is right. We get 15 minutes into the auction, okay. And the system shut down. The simulcast system. See all our bidders and buyers, most of them are online. And Manheim.com shut down. So what they. What we found out later is that they pushed a patch and it repaired the day before. And you don't do that on a Wednesday. No, you do that on a Sunday morning. So you have time to fix problems. And it shut it down. Turned it down. Shut it down. It shut it. I turned it down. Yeah, shut it down. So I am getting feedback from my buyers, like, hey, man, something's wrong. People can't get into manheim.com. we're going along. We're having an auction. But it's starting to get wonky, weird. And I asked Connor sitting next to me, I said, go around to all five of our lanes and tell everybody to shut it down. I've been through this before.
B
You've seen it.
A
So we shut her down. We were the first ones to shut it down. And then the lady's like, it'll be fixed in 10 minutes. In 10 minutes?
B
Yeah.
A
So that was nine for 49, 45, 11, 22 hours comes back and everybody already left by that point.
D
It's over.
B
Yeah.
A
But I'm like, I still have this classic and collector sale that wasn't going to start until one.
F
Oh.
A
And I'm like, there's a lot of people that have traveled here for it. Let's try it and hope this works. And we started it at 12. So we did the CNC sale and it worked out smooth and everything was great.
B
Good, good, good, good. How many did you sell?
A
100. 100 of those? Yeah, yeah. Chevelles and GTOs and classic Mustangs and crazy trucks and all that stuff. But that's kind of just a different animal of our business. But all of our super duper Ferraris, very expensive cars. Here's the problem with this, guys. I mean, nobody thinks. But. So give me the VIN. We sell $25 million a week.
B
Okay?
A
So guess who Needs that check the next day, homeboy.
B
Of course.
A
Yeah, yeah. So we can get no check because you pay me, right. So. So I didn't have an auction. So we got to carry all this in the next week, and we're gonna have double the amount of cars. And I've got to sell them because I need the money, right?
B
Yep.
A
I mean, I always sell pretty hard,
B
but I gotta sell, gotta have them.
A
So if you want bargains, go to Lane 20 Man Home, Dallas, next week. Absolute sales. Yeah, I mean, pretty much.
B
Oh, you had to be on fumes by the time this is over.
A
And we had, like, four cars that are 700 million. Four or five more this week. So that's a lot of.
B
A lot of.
A
Yeah.
B
Cash.
A
Yeah, a lot of cash. What brought this up is we were talking about radio transmitters in California in our new station, kysr. I was like, I don't think it's got the power of the old one on klos, because I was in Orange county and comparing between the two signals, and I said, it actually sounded like it was on a backup transmitter.
B
Okay.
A
And Elliot, our guy, said, I wonder if. And I was like, I wonder if they were. He said, they shouldn't be doing that on a Tuesday when you were there. If you do. If you're doing repair maintenance to one of these radio signals, they do it on Sunday. And it made me think of this same thing with that.
C
Yeah, yeah.
B
Do all the work on Sundays.
A
You got to play in your stuff on the weekend.
B
Engineers used to come into studios. They'd clean the board, and they do all kinds of stuff. But you do it Sunday morning at 2:00am oh, yeah, yeah.
A
So if something goes wrong, you got time, right?
B
You're plenty of time for Monday morning.
A
800. 800 radio speech impediment. Terrence, will you please give me a quick news update? We don't have time for the whole thing. I've got a minute and a half or one minute. Hit me with one news story.
C
Trump caused the deal. New details on that deal and attorney general nomination. Battle. Military fighter jet crashing in California. That place got enough fire, I think. No.
A
What happened to one story?
D
He doesn't know how to do that.
F
President Trump clawed the attorney general and he crashed his plane in California.
A
That's one story. Terrence, what's that in the background? Do you have a TV or a radio on?
C
I got a radio.
A
Okay, I've got 30 seconds.
C
Okay. Hurricane. Is there a hurricane? Generally in Florida. Hurricane.
A
The sheriff's a what?
C

A
I turned it down. Okay. I think you should have not turned it down. I think you should have turned it up. We'll be right back. Call me with your cars you want to sell that are that or have good mental thoughts behind them where you like thought about the values and you're not just throwing out crazy numbers. 8008-0072-3480-0800 radio. C
I know it's, it's a feeling,
A
it's not a reality, but I love the car.
C
But that's what it would take for me to get rid of it.
A
Okay, so did you expect, did you expect me to say yes? Did you expect me to jump through the phone and grab it from you and pay 5,000? I mean, I'm glad you called.
C
It's. What?
A
Too much is what?
C
Yeah, no problem. What did you say? How much you think it's worth?
A
Oh, I think it's five grand too high for sure. It just, It's a Capri. Is it a Woody?
C
No, it's not a Woody, but it's been garage kept its whole life and it's really in, you know, perfect condition. I think it's a classic, it's showpiece.
A
Uh huh. I think you're more of a showpiece than that car, just by the sound of your voice.
C
It is a beautiful car. It's absolutely beautiful. But yeah, I'm the only one that thinks that. So how long have you had it? My family, I've had it about six years, but I'm the second owner. We knew the lady that bought it originally and she garage kept it and I've been garage keeping it. And all of our new vehicles stay outside and this, this beauty stays inside the garage.
A
What age did you lose your virginity? Don't do that, Charlie. What? What, what, what did you pay for it?
C
2,000.
A
And you want me to give 12.
C
But I. Well, I put some money in it.
A
You know, I had wheels on it,
C
I had it repainted. What's that?
A

When you look beyond the average, when you see where I belong, you see why I behave the way I do. When you start looking at my details, when you include my context, I start telling you the truth. B

They get you very high for about 18 seconds.
B
Really?
A
Yeah.
B
I was wondering, like, is that.
A
See Jesus.
B
Is that the same stuff in a whipped cream can?
A
Yep. Yes.
B
Okay, so you can just buy whipped cream can.
A
Absolutely. Just, you know, whipped cream and you flip it upside down to do the cream of it. So if you just have it right side up, the cream won't come out of it. And you'll do a whip It.
B
I must have this now.
D
No, we're not endorsing that.
A
Do we have one here?
D
We'll do right now. No, we're not endorsing that.
A
We're not endorsing it. We're just gonna get JD Smoked.
C
Yeah.
F
Hit it real easy.
A
Speaking of a bunch of potheads, what's going on in Florida, boss?
B
Florida news, we have some.
F
And now from North America's own land down under, it's time for Sunshine State news with your certified lifeguard, J.D.
C
ryan.
B
We have a video that goes with this one too. Florida man was running away from the cops as they do this. This one happened to be on foot and tried to hang out in some brush, really thick brush. But he was located by the canine. Canine dog named Benny. 29 year old Donnie Williams was. He tossed his backpack away because you don't want to get caught with the backpack. With a backpack. And in that, of course, the cops found it. You had a loaded handgun, 203 grams of methanol, 17 grams of fentanyl. Oh.7 grams of crack cocaine.
F
Oh.
B
Other than that, it was completely empty. During the arrest on suspicion of armed drug trafficking, Williams had a very special message. Listen to this now. This is Williams talking during the arrest. Cut number eight.
A
Show me your hand. We'll get it.
C
Turn it on your stomach.
A
Turn on your stomach. Get off your phone. I love you, babe. I love you, babe. I love you, babe. Don't leave me. The guy with all those drugs.
B
All the drugs.
A
That's a lot of drugs.
B
Loving is whoever's on the other line. By the way, William's criminal history includes. I know you'll be surprised. 17 felony arrests with six convictions and the canine. Benny. He got a big old milk bone.
D
17.
B
There he is. 17.
A
17 what?
B
17 felony arrests, but only six convictions.
C
Wow.
B
So, I mean, it all could be a misunderstanding because
E
alone in the world
F
is a little cut.
B
Oh, bending the cop dog. Also in Florida, they're having some trouble with a Burmese pythons taking over. This is creepy. So they come up with a very. So Florida. This is such a Florida thing to do. Researchers have collected possums from. Follow me. Follow me now.
A
Follow me. Look at me.
B
Follow the pen with your eyes. So they've collected possums from several different areas and they've put GPS collars on them. What? Why you ask? Cut number nine.
A
This was never a study where they
B
intentionally use possums as bait for pythons.
A
Researchers in the Everglades had GPS collars on the possums for a wildlife study. When suddenly the animals disappeared. But the collars kept moving. When biologists tracked the signal down, they realized the collars were inside giant Burmese
C
pythons that had eaten the possums.
A
That's when they figured out they could actually use the collars to locate hidden pythons deep inside the swamp.
B
So we're not using it as bait. Yes, you are. You are indeed.
F
I got a python problem.
A
Yeah, we have a python. And don't ask why.
B
Okay.
A
And my son's friend was over there and she took the top off the cage. Oh. And she looked at it and they were talking about it and then she forgot to secure the top.
F
Oh, good.
A
That was six months ago.
B
No.
D
Oh, no.
A
We have not seen it since. Now this thing did get out once for two months. And then my mother in law found it on the stairs at nighttime. Holy crap.
B
So it's somewhere in the house.
A
It was last time, you know, it was out for two months and she found it. And she's a sweet little Danish lady.
B
Yeah.
A
And she doesn't speak very good English, but she sure can cuss.
D
Oh, dude, you're kidding me. No, it's sitting around. Just.
A
We don't mean. You tell me if anybody.
D
Any dogs missing in the neighborhood, so.
A
It's not that big. Well, it might be a boa. I forgot a bull, something. Yeah, I don't know.
B
It doesn't matter.
A
Snakes thing handy. Do we still have those drops up there of bending skins? Snakes plus commercials.
D
No.
A
No. Oh, they're not around. No, that was. Those are funny.
B
Unbelievable. I wouldn't sleep. I'd burn. I'd burn the house. Burn the house down. We're done. We're moving. There's a snake loose.
F
How big is it?
A
We got. What's that?
B
Six feet?
A
At least. That's six feet.
C
That's.
B
Yeah, well, five.
D
Well, no, maybe five. Your arms aren't that long.
F
How big around is it?
A
Probably that.
F
Has that changed?
B
I don't.
A
I haven't seen him in a Bit
B
like the size of a hamster maybe, right?
F
Guinea pig.
A
I haven't seen him in a bit. We've got this cat and she's a whore.
B
Your house, man.
A
She's really pretty. Like she's. Who's that hooker that married the rich guy? And Anna Nicole Smith. That should be her name.
F
Okay.
A
We found her in the alleys of Walnut Springs outside the garage. Gym, tv, garage. And she was tiny, tiny kitten, absolutely gorgeous. But she's a slut. And she goes out at night and horse around and she took off for about a week. And man, when she came back, that had a cigarette hanging out of her mouth, on her head, Texas, tattooed. Yeah. I mean, she had a. She had a tramp stamp on her lower back. I mean, that's so great.
B
The Anna Nicole Smith of cats.
A
Yeah. She goes. And then these guys show up at night and start howling and screeching.
B
Yes, they will.
A
That's a good piece of. She's a kitty cat.
B
Kitty cat.
A
But, yeah, she goes out. She's got a lot of boyfriends. I wonder. That damn snake could eat her.
D
But it hasn't yet.
B
Have you seen her recently?
A
Yeah, I see her.
B
Okay.
A
Smell her in the corner. She got that?
B
All right, we can stop.
A
Yeah. You know, and every. My wife can smell everything. What's on your breath? What's that smell? What's that smell? Then I'm sitting in the corner of this one. What's that? You smell like cat piss. Do you smell that? I don't smell that. How do you not smell that?
B
Because I love that.
A
Let's bring the kids down. And everybody's. Everybody loves the cat, right? I'm not that big into the cat, guys. All y' all do is about smells. And I'm sitting here and you don't smell that lower little odor of cat pests here in the very corner of this room. Nope, nope.
D
It never goes away.
B
Oh, yeah.
A
Once it gets to the carpet, well, it's hardwood.
B
Oh.
D
Oh, damn. It's soaked into the wood.
A
I mean, it's just a light. Light linger. You could walk through there and you'd miss it. But, man, that's.
B
I hate that strong, dude.
F
It takes very careful management. It is a pain in the ass to have an indoor cat. That's why I leave one of my windows open about this much. About 7 inches. So they can get in and out. They'd rather do that. And that's cool with me.
B
It's 110° outside.
F
I don't give a damn. Go outside.
A
Do you still have your cat, Turley?
D
Yes. This cat won't die.
B
Yes.
D
It's 18 years old.
F
Jesus.
D
Yes. Tell me about it. It's annoying. It's.
C
It.
D
It just meows every time at night because if the wife's not in the room.
B
Has it gotten that crazy cat look yet? Because when they get 18, they got
D
a little matte to it.
B
It's got that eyes start going off.
A
It's a little.
D
Yeah, it's a little like, hey, babe, you know, I think it's time to put it down. Look At. You know, there's a patch of fur missing here.
A
Put it down.
D
Little downsy look to it. It's like.
B
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
D
It's not. It's not. But it's still, I guess healthy enough because we have to keep the cat. We can't get rid of the cat
A
when the cat dies.
D
Oh, it'll be a great day, John,
A
but will you replace the cat?
E
No.
A
Will she bring one home?
D
No.
A
And if she does.
D
No, she's. She wife has agreed that this is the last cat we'll ever, ever own.
A
Like never bought this cat for your child?
E
Yes.
A
Instead of a dog, of course. Right?
D
Yeah, we had a dog too. And the dog's great. German shepherd. I wish the dog would eat the cat, but that's hadn't happened.
A
Does he drop big logs in the backyard?
D
Yeah. German shepherds. Yeah, they do.
A
And who cleans that?
D
You're looking at them right here. Yeah, kids at college. So it gets.
A
Did the kid do it before? Would he actually do it?
D
Yeah, he did.
A
Cuz see my dog, my kids don't do it. They act like they talk about doing it, but they don't do it.
D
Yeah, no, no, they discuss.
A
So did you have to drag him out there and beat him with the pooper scooper to make him do it?
D
No, I didn't have to beat him.
A
That's what I had to do.
B
Didn't beat your kids.
A
You whack him with a pooper scooper.
B
No, you didn't.
A
Now you, they make all these claims to get you to make decisions and they don't follow through.
B
I swear, we'll. We'll feed him every day and we'll love him.
A
So you didn't have to force your kid to do what he said he would do?
D
No, that was part of the agreement. You're getting a dog. This is the responsibilities.
A
Yeah, but you made an agreement with an eight year old.
D
Well, no, he was older when we got the dog.
A
Even makes it worse, he's a teenager.
D
Yeah, but he, you know, you stick to your agreement.
A
I agree, but you didn't have to. You didn't have to retrain him on that.
D
No, no, we were lucky there.
A
What am I doing wrong?
F
Outstanding. Outstanding. Charlie, that is parenting on purpose. I admire that.
A
We'll be right back. Way to go, Clay wolf. You can watch the. You can watch and stream the show@jcwshow.com. if you'd like to sell your car, go to our sponsor, givemetheven.com coast to coast. I am going to buy you a drink.
D

E
Jcwshow.com 800800 radio call in to America's number one rated Saturday morning show. The John Clay wolf show.
F
First class
E
now.
A
I'm like a prickly pear. I'm a prickly bear.
E
John Clay wolf.
A
Boy, I need to do a read for our sponsor, incogni.
F
All right.
D
Oh, read time. What, you're gonna do this live on the air?
A
Well, yeah. Well, they sent a script. They never sent me a script.
F
Oh, boy.
D
He's got it, bubba.
A
In his hands.
C
Yeah.
A
Did you hear that? Listen very carefully. Two seconds of silence in parenthesis. One, don't read. Two, that's my phone. No spam calls, no spam text. I love the silence. Your phone probably not so quiet. Here's why data brokers are selling your personal information like it's on clearance. Your phone number, home address, email, family members, political affiliations. Even the companies where you bank, shop and do business. What those scamming son of a. I. I improvised there. They didn't write that.
F
I like it. I like it.
A
Blowing up your phone didn't just get lucky. They bought your information. And they'll keep buying it over and over and over until you make those son of a. Stop. I don't think they put that there either. Yeah. Maxing is so maxing right now, bro. Get ready for spicy chicken maxing because Carl's Jr. Is saving you big with a 5.99 max stout.
C
Double stack, double stack.
A
Double stack. Spicy chicken sandwich. Seriously, just $5.99 double stack spicy chicken. This is unreal value in the bromosphere. The new spicy chicken Max Wallet Friendly. Max Tasty only at Carl's Jr available for a limited time at participating restaurants.
D
Taxon included.
A
Not valid for use within a combo or in combination with any other offered discount. I did that myself with Incogni's help. Incogni automatically removes your personal information from hundreds of data brokers and people search sites. Then Incogni sends their lawyers after it. They're gut wrenching murderous lawyers.
B
Damn.
A
They send them legal removal requests and they follow up and keep monitoring. They send hitmen to their house. They don't do that.
B
It doesn't happen.
A
No, I don't think that's in the screen so that your information stays off those lists. If scammers can't find you, they can't target you. That means they can't bother you. Get 60 off right now at Incogni. If you go to jcwshow.com and click the Incogni banner or just put in promo code jcw or incogni.com jcw. That's right, incogni.com JCW. Because the sweetest sound your phone can make is nothing at all. And I agree with them.
D
That's good.
A
My version. Very nice. My version of that is go to use this. We've all done it and it really works.
D
Not. Not 2 minute read like that.
A
That was fun. I mean, I needed to warm up for the theater gig I just took.
B
Theater.
D
Theater.
B
What?
A
I made it up. Can I not make something up? I mean, golly, my wife says that half the stuff I see on the radio is not true. So I'm just trying to.
D
You know.
A
That's. That's the third wife shot I've made today. Oh, boy, you're gonna love it. I need to retract all of it. And I need to say, I love you, darling. And it's been a great 18 years of marriage today. 18 years. 18 today, yeah.
D
Oh, so you've been taking shots on your anniversary?
A
You gotta keep it spicy, man.
B
Oh, wow.
F
Yeah.
A
Yeah. When everybody gets too happy and calm and they just start bitching. I'm not talking about her. I'm just talking about everybody. People in life.
B
Absolutely.
A
We're busy. Nobody's bitching, they're busy.
B
But when you're sitting around not doing
A
anything, the worst thing you can do is be sitting on the beach with your wife.
D
What?
B
Okay, that's not true.
A
But it's absolutely true.
B
Why, that's when things.
A
Honey, what would happen oh, if we had another baby, I thought you were
B
gonna say, if I died, would you remarry?
A
Or that. Yeah, that's the kind of stuff that happens when you're sitting on the beach.
B
Kept time, man.
F
I don't.
D
We don't have those conversations. Oh, that's just. Yeah, we're chill. I mean, that's. That's the time we're.
B
Turn it off.
D
Maybe we'll talk about future things, like with the kid or whatever. Like that or finances, maybe coming down the road. Well, we should get a house here, you know, Start dreaming.
A
Right.
D
But not. No.
F
Well, you got to communicate. But, like, how long have you been married?
D
25 years. 26 now.
F
I never made more than a dozen. John, you're, like, right at the verge of 20. J.D.
A
you're.
B
I was 10 the first time. Two this time.
F
Does. You people, you get past, like, a dozen years or so, and your relationships seem, for the most part, to get all effed up.
A
Ours or everybody's.
F
Well, mainly you two. Sounds fine, but he may be front end.
A
Mine's fine.
F
Are you front end?
D
I'm not front end.
F
Okay. Yeah.
B
18 years.
A
What's the longest you've been married, Bob?
F
Dozen years.
A
Oh, you made it 12.
F
Yeah, I. I got out before it got all effed up.
A
We've been together for 21.
B
Damn, that's great.
F
Yeah.
A
Yeah. That's a long time.
F
I remember you dating.
A
Oh, yeah? Really? Hang on. Like.06 if we've been together. So you and I have known each other that. Wait a minute. You and I know each other that long?
F
2006, right? About. Yeah, we've done a couple shows together. We went to Lalas, and I had. I bought you lunch the first time we had lunch.
A
Was I dating her then?
F
Yeah.
A
She was young.
F
Yeah, she was beautiful. She's still beautiful.
A
Was she legal? She was over 18. She was over 18. Okay.
B
It's not an answer.
A
She was 20. I was 32.
F
She's still a lovely gal.
C
You're.
F
You're not. You're not worthy. Really? Probably. And that's not a knock. I'm your friend. I'm just saying, like, you better be good to that one, man. Don't be Billy Joel.
B
Tell you guys still have the spark. She comes into the studio. She comes over and she kisses you.
A
She.
B
And it's just little things like that. That means something.
D
Oh, so that's. That's the sign right there.
B
If somebody. It's just that intimacy. Yeah.
A
Touching your hand. Get a big old. Get a big old Handful of cheeks. Oh, my God.
B
Trying to be romantic.
A
You gotta go cheeks. Slap on the ash.
B
No.
A
Gonna keep everybody fresh, man.
B
It does
A
keep them on their toes.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. You know, when I was. When I was with her and I was just coming out of a wheelchair and been through all that stuff, I was like, I'm gonna catch a lot of grief over this. Oh, the 12 and a half years.
B
Yeah.
A
And she's yelling at the phone right now. It's 13. It's not 12 and a half. I mean, there is a couple of months during the summer. No, it's one month, actually, to be specific, where it's 12, but it's really 13. 13 year age gap, you know, as you get older, that age gap closes. But at that, 32 to 20 was pretty tight. I was young.
B
Yeah. The older you get.
A
But I was like, I'm just gonna catch a lot of heat. I'm just gonna take it. I don't care.
B
I don't care.
D
Do you get more comments now or back then?
A
Oh, back then, yeah. No, now there's nothing.
D
Now you get more high fives.
A
Like, look at you getting the younger one.
D
Yeah.
A
No, I mean, they. I mean, she's 40. I'm 53. It's like, whatever. But back then, when you're 32 and 20. Yeah. You can tell the difference.
D
Yeah, there's a little bit of difference.
F
No doubt.
A
800, 800. 7, 2, 3, 4. And the kids are just old enough now where they're asking questions. Hang on, Dad. I mean, someone was 20. Like, I'm doing the math here. Like, when did she turn 20?
F
So.
D
Wait, Maddox. Maddox just turned 20.
E
So?
D
And he's like. So you were married just now?
A
Well, she wouldn't. We weren't married yet, but.
D
Well, she was.
A
They're asking questions.
D
Shut up. Boy,
A
you like that stuff.
B
You got a great life.
A
Hush, hush.
B
Yeah, there you go.
A
Everybody's fine stuff. What was it? Paranoia. Stop. Hold on. Stay in control. Was that the Kinks? Yeah.
D
I don't remember.
A
Yeah, yeah. You don't know. Golly. You don't know your rock. Play paranoia or just Destroyer? Just play Destroyer by the King. So, happy anniversary. Thank you. Happy.
B
Fantastic. 18 years.
A
Speech impediment.
D
Terrence.
A
How. How many years were you married before your wife passed?
C
4 and a half years.
A
Four and a half?
F
Yeah.
A
I thought it was longer than that.
C
No, no, no. Far and all. Kind of like a surprise, you know? She was suicidal. She tried to slice her. She sliced her wrist. She didn't try. She sliced her wrist a couple times.
A
All right, well, that was a downer.
D
Yeah, I knew that was gonna happen with him. You've heard the story before.
F
Oh, man, it was bad.

A
Hey, Paulie. Hey, Stevie. Get your ass over here.
E
Hit him up now. 800, 800 radio. 800, 800 radio. Now. John Clay Wolf.
A
There's a guy calling me on a weird one. I'm trying to get an image of it so I can see it. What a great tune. Hey, Rob, in central Florida.
C
Yes, sir.
A
You've got a 1955 school bus from the movie Convoy.
C
Yes, sir. Do you. Do you remember the C.W. mcCall song Convoy from the 70s?
A
Yes.
C
Well, when in the line where he says, we got 11 long haired friends of Jesus in a chartreuse microbus.
A
Right.
C
Well, that song was number one. It was a crossover hit, country and pop. So it's definitely in the vernacular of pop culture of America, for sure. That's the song.
A
Yeah, we're pretty good at what we do. That's quick.
C
Well, the movie was Sam Peckinpah's last big film and it of course had the all star cast with Kris Kristofferson and everybody else under the sun. Alan, he actually built the trick around the song. So that's the background of basically where that bus sort of comes up in imagery, at least in your mind's eye. And then when they actually made the film, Sam Peckinpah was very, very ardent about finding the right bus. Well, that bus played a huge role in the movie of the 11 long haired friends of Jesus. And it's featured in almost every scene it's in. It's just really. It's, it's, it's in the, in the film. Just give you The Cliff notes, 2011, we were out shooting an episode in California. I saw. I came across this bust at George Sacks place. And George Sack is the guy that's done big rig stunts for movies forever, God bless him. He passed away a couple years ago, and I recognized the bus, but it was in primer. At least a lot of it was in primer. And then in 2020, when the lockdown crap happened, I was going through archives of the show that we shot, and I saw the bus. And I made a call to George and I asked him if he still had that bus, and he said he did. And some hot rod guy was trying to buy it, and I pulled it out from underneath. That guy said, don't sell it. I don't want him to chop it because it's. It's made it this long. We want to restore it. And so we made a deal, and we had a chip from Los Angeles to North Carolina. And once we got the paperwork, the title was in Gary Combs name if anybody out there.
A
Gary Coleman, the little short black kid from Different Strokes?
C
No, if you're a. A Star Trek fan, he's. He's a stunt guy that played the original Zorn character. And this guy's a legendary stunt coordinator. And he. He was on 5 of. Of Tekken Paws films, including the Getaway.
A
Rob, it says here. Yeah, Rob, you're going. So Rob, Robert said you're nerding out pretty good. It says that you are the host with American trucker. Now, that TV show, when did it quit? Like 2010?
C
12.
A
Gotcha. What do you do now?
C
Well, it was internationally syndicated.
A
What do you do? What do you do now?
C
Production.
A
For what?
C
Well, really, for me. Well, I got several irons in the fire, but this is not the place to discuss it. Okay.
E

C
Man, that's pretty. Do I have to say that?
A
Absolutely have to say that. I let you spiel for 15 minutes about this stupid bus and I've let you go. So now we got to at least get some interesting commentary from you since you were a TV superstar.
C
It's not stupid. It's not stupid, but I guarantee you would love it. You'd geek out on it.
A
It's ten grand. I know that it's ten grand and you want fifty.
C
No, I never said any price. But if you say 10 grand, well, you have. Don't you look and consider the pedigree of it. What the movie bus is.
A
What's it worth without the pedigree? It's worth $300 without the pedigree.
C
Well, well. Okay. Okay. Do you consider. Would you consider something like it being the most unmolested movie vehicle of all time? Because it is.
A
We've learned from our research that talking about incest and molestation does not perform well with the audience. Just lost two meters.
F
Yeah.
A
Okay, so listen, listen, listen. I bought. And you can pull it up. Barrett Jackson. Two sales ago, they sold cars from beat up cars from one of the super movies. What was it? I forgot. They brought, you know, six grand. Seven grand, five grand. Could this thing bring a bunch of money? Sure, if you have two convoy, CW, McCall freaks that name their kids CW. It happens. But I ain't doing it right now. If I'm. If I'm going to take a risk on something like that. I think it's ten grand. That's what I think. So back to what they're paying you when you quit your show. How high? I just interested to see when. When shows work. How many seasons did you do American Trucker?
C
We did 28 episodes. Two. Two seasons before Fox decided to change it into Fox Sports 1. And they made a network change. So the show.
A
I mean, that means that two seasons, they say, hey, this isn't making enough money. We're going to change the format. I've been there, dude.
C
Don't feel bad. Well. Well, what were they paying you, man? They changed the entire speed channel.
A
All right, Rob, I got to keep moving. I appreciate you calling. I do like you, but we're going too long. We're just going too long.
D
We don't want to answer the question.
A
We lose listeners when we go that long. Yeah, I had to. I had to pull Jay Leno last week.
B
Yes, you did.
A
Did you hear me do it?
B
Yes. That's great.
D
I also heard you try to buy one of the vehicles from him. Something, and it was a very slick way. You did it too. Near the end of the interview, you go, hey, Jake, are you ever mad at any vehicles?
A
You hate them. Are there any cars you look at in this barn, in this big old hangar, and you look at that thing say, I just hate that car.
B
I don't know. Why would I hate the cars? That didn't make any sense, John.
A
Car you're looking at, you're like, this car's not good enough to be a cause. I mean, but like, I hate a lamp and I throw it across a road.
B
That's what he said.
A
Yeah, I heard him say it.
B
That was great.
D
So he didn't get anywhere, though.
A
We didn't get any.
D
But you tried, though.
A
I did try to buy a car off of Jay and he didn't sell anything during a break because he was getting very granular on car geek stuff, which is good on podcasts. But I was like, man, I, I, I don't, how do I, how do I. Here's what I just said during the break. I said, hey, we're getting pretty dirty on these cars and we're on a national audience on rock stations. I said, do you mind doing some shtick when we get back and entertaining them with some bang bang pop pop?
B
Sure.
A
And he's like, how's it go, JD
B
can't do it on demand.
A
And, you know, I was thinking in my mind, who in the hell am I to tell Jay Leno, Jay Leno what to do?
B
Hey, Jay Leonard, can you bring it up a little bit? Bring it up a notch?
A
I mean, turn the funny up. And when we came back, bang bang pop pop went into stand up comedian mode. I was like, that some is good. He's so good. I was sitting here because he was my co host is really what, what we were doing. And I was like, what a great co host. So I started thinking, well, of course he's a great co host. He does 200 nights a year of stand up still. And he did the Tonight show, the largest platform on the planet for a while. What, 20, 30 years?
B
Yes.
A
Like, yeah, I got a pretty good co host today.
B
$30 million a year. And he's a car guy guy.
A
He had a great time. And his guy called back, I bet we're gonna do it again.
B
Oh, he's nice.
A
I did say, because we were going into these breaks, you know, and, and you don't Want to interrupt Jay Leno?
B
No.
A
I was like, hey, wrap it up. You know, we got a heart out here.
B
Sure.
A
And I said, it's been a while. Hadn't it, since you. Because you're used to doing television and I mean, a podcast, Internet stuff. When you had a hard. He said, well, you know, I did it a little bit. And on the Tonight show, we had to stop for commercial. You know, we did that a little
B
bit on the Tonight Show.
D
You know, commercials that paid millions of dollars.
A
So I heart has the studio in Burbank that was the set of the Tonight Show.
B
Oh, they have the set.
A
They have the studio.
B
Studio.
A
Like 300 set person studio.
B
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
A
The actual. Where it was filmed with Johnny and Jake.
B
It didn't go.
A
I heart owns it. I did not know this.
B
Did not know that either.
A
And I was thinking, how cool would it be to like, do some kind
B
of a. I think NBC would own
A
it, do a redo and have him. Him do you know, if he wants to do the show again? We could do it in there.
B
Yeah.
A
In front of a live studio audience.
D
Step back in there.
E
Yeah.
D
I don't know. Some of those guys get kind of sentimental and, you know, it's like, ah,
B
it'd be weird because obviously it's just a big empty room now.
A
But I bet they still have the stuff somewhere. That'd be fun.
B
They did throw away a lot of the David Letterman stuff. They showed them taking it out of the building and basically throwing it away.
A
Yeah, yeah. You saw that Glenn Beck, if you walk into his studio in the middle of the room, he has the set from all in the Family that has Archie and Edith's chair right there.
E
Really?
A
And if you go in this other room, the set for the stairs and the front door is there.
D
The chair that's. I remember that.
B
I mean, Archie's chair.
F
Yeah.
A
Watchy achieve. Where were they? Were they in Cleveland? I don't know.
F
I'm North Queens.
D
Yeah.
B
Queens.
C
Queens.
A
8008-0072-3480-0800-Dial-Deal-Deal radio. Oh, is that coming up?
F
Oh, don't give me that radio dairy.
B
That's good.
A
So what we're going to do is we're going to do the lightning round in just a moment where you call in 8008-0072-3480-0800 radio. I'm going to quick bet a couple of cars. We're gonna stop for another music break and then we're gonna come back and we've got Tony Romo's Father, he's downstairs. He's going to join us in the studio.
F
No way.
B
Yep.
A
And Tiger woods mother also, and he wants to talk to her about golfing and alcoholism.
B
Yep.
A
And kids.
B
Yep. It's gonna be very interesting.
A
We'll be right back. My name is John Claywell. If you want to get your car bid, call right now. 800-800-72348. 800, 800 radio. When we come back from this song break, we're going to take those live on the air. And all the bids are good at America's best car buyer, givemetheven.com. I'm worth a lot more.
C
I'm worth a lot more.
A
I'm worth more.
C
You know what?
F
You're right.
A
At givemethevin.com, you are worth more, and your car's worth more. And we want to pay more at give me the vin. Because good cars are worth more, and so are you. For top price, trust and ease of transaction. Give me the vin dot com. America's best car buyer.

F
so easy.
A
You can do it.
F
And you're underway.
E
Now back to the John Clay wolf show, presented by givemethevit.com hit him up right now. 1, 800, 800, radio. 1, 800, 800 radio. This is the John Clay Wolf.
A
What is it with everybody? Hey, guys. That call in when. When the screener asks you what you'll take for your car, you need to give them a real number because these numbers y' all are giving them are so stupid. I'm not taking them to the air, and I'm hanging up on y'. All. And then you're calling back and again and again and again. I mean, Keith, this 40 Ford coupe that you want, what, 50 grand for something? It's not even a deluxe. It's not gonna work. If you have offers in 50,000 range, you need to sell it. Why are you calling me?
C
I heard you on the radio, so I thought.
A
I'm glad to call you. The reason I took you is because you're in Hershey, Pennsylvania, which is the capital of these kind of cars. But, yeah, that car's too high, man. Debbie, the 49 Jeepster, you're down in Florida. I sent your number to Muffy Bennett in Arizona. She's my Jeepster expert. She's gonna call you personally, okay?
C
Really?
A
Yep. Really. Joe in Alabama, your mild out GL450 with 160,000 mile turbo in the coolant leaks. It's probably the car's worth, yeah, five grand. You want 14? Yeah, that's right. I do this. You can buy them. Let me explain you guys something. We live our life in auctions, and you can buy these. There's a. There's a cash market that's going on behind the scenes, and there's not a few of them. There's a million of them. Like cars trading all the time. And you can buy that car for five grand at any Manheim auction, anytime, anywhere. Maybe seven, depending. But coolant leak. No. Five grand in asking. Fourteen is waste of time. Tim, in South Florida, your truck doesn't sound. You're very. You're on the money. And you know what I like about what you wrote here? 15F250 Lariat Diesel, Turbo, 80,000 miles, four by four. He wants 30,000. Cracked windshield. I like the fact that you told my screener it has a cracked windshield. Because, like, people say, oh, it's nice, right? They don't say anything. And then you get the pictures. Like, there's all kinds of problems with it. So the fact that you pointed out it has a crack in the windshield tells me that you're going to tell me the truth about what you have, which is good. Thank you. Are you there?
C
Yes, sir, I am. This is a great truck. The Liberty Barn up in Palm City. She's. She pulls her trail around with it. She wants to go into something else. I'm like, it's probably worth 30. Let me shop it for you.
A
Yeah, I will give 28. I will give 28 grand. If it's a 15 lariat with 80 and we got to put a windshield in it and move it out of Florida, I will get 15 grand. So you're. You told her, right? Just load it in to give. Givemetheven.com and if she's got the title handy, take a picture of the front, the back wing. Pair Monday. Hell, we can pair today, depending on where she is.
C
Let me talk. You said 28 flat?
A
Yep.
C
Okay, I'll let you know. Thank you.
A
Thank you. North Carolina. 22 SS Stage 5 build. Thousand horsepower. Built by RPM Motorsports. Want 60? No, no, no, thank you. David has an 84 LS. 454. They don't make a 454 LS, David. An LS engine.
C
It's an LS. It's a. It's a 70 LS 6, 454 and a 84 K5 Blazer.
A
Oh, okay. You got a lot of motor in there. That motor, if it's like a real numbers motor that should go into LS6 Chevelle, you need to get it the hell out of that Blazer. It needs to be in a Chevelle.
C
I. I agree, but it's in the. I built it. It's in the Blazer, and I just want to sell the Blazer.
A
Okay? So I can tell you I have a Blazer that I bought from a dealer that was advertising it. I gave him 25,000 for an 88K5. That's in great shape with an LS swap, like a current one, a 5, 3 LS swap. And you want 30 grand for this? No. You want 35 for this one. That needs glass and upholstery.
C
Yes.
A
No, no.
B
Fair enough.
A
No, no, no, no. The motor, you're. If you got a LS that goes in a. Like the. The. You know, the 300 grand chevelles, the good ones. The. The. That. That. That motor is worth 10,000 for sure. Maybe 20.
C
I figured. I figured 12.
A
Yeah, we're talking the same there. But that old Blazer, I mean, you got to pull it out. We got to get that motor out of there and get it where it's supposed to be. It's not supposed to be in that Blazer.
C
It's gonna stay in the Blazer.
A
Well, not. You damn right it is. If you. If you want 35 grand for it, it's gonna stay right there where it's parked, too, because we. When you unass that motor out of that Blazer, what's that Blazer worth at? Needs upholstery and glass. Five or three.
C
Oh, no. Everything on. Everything on the truck is new. Everything.
A
Well, tell me this. What. What's the real minimum you'll really take, like, 20.
C
No.
A
What would you take?
C
35.
A
He went up. Keep it. Love you. Thanks for tuning in. Stay hooked. We love our listeners. But. But I ain't going to let you pick my pockets like that. You are not gonna rob me. No, sir. No, sir. Be right back.
E
The John Clay Wolf show, jcwshow.com I've

A
So Tony Romo, the Cowboys quarterback X.
C
Yes.
A
Quarterback and CBS broadcaster got a dwi. We talked about this our DUI or something up in Milwaukee and it has become all the rage this week.
B
Well, yeah, the body footage camera came out and so now we see it as well as hear about it.
A
The funniest part is the memes that have come with his warm up stuff in the parking garage. There it is. There he's doing his thing on the. If you go to jcwshow.com you can see it on the stream. I haven't watched it. Was he drunk? Oh, yeah.
B
Was he plowed? No. Was he probably intoxicated? Yeah. He knew it. He didn't try to hide it. He wasn't sure. The cop was a little abrasive in my opinion.
A
Was it a chick?
B
Yes.
A
Was she a lesbian?
B
I don't know. We have a condensed version of the exchange between the law enforcement officer.
A
Was she Democrat or Republican?
B
And Tony Romo. This is kind of number one.
A
Say louder.
B
I'm sorry.
A
Unsafe passing on the right. Yes, the marked area. Where are you coming from?
B
The golf course.
C
And I'm going to meet grandma and grandpa.
B
Okay.
F
All right. Well to take any time. Yes.
A
You're denying to step out of the vehicle pending field. Okay, step out of the vehicle. Next time she does this. Can we get her mic up? Better
B
get a better mic.
A
She needs a windscreen on her mic.
D
His excuse of grandma and grandpa, you know his grandparents are dead, right?
A
Are they? Yeah, yeah. This is fact.
B
Oh, that was pretty good. Then on his feet maybe for his kids. So it was unsafe there to do the field sobriety. So they took him to the police station and that's a lot of the videos that you see you've probably seen and actually Tony considers this one of his most embarrassing moments.
E
Go.
F
Go ahead, dude.
A
Any head injuries recently? Any concussions? Lots of interceptions over the years.
B
Yes, but not recently.
A
Would you like the instructions one more time, sir?
C
Head.
B
Or am I supposed to keep it square?
A
You try not to. Willing to submit to A pbt. What is that machine that you blowing? It's a preliminary. It does not determine the results of. We're not doing that.
C
I've already heard from all the lawyers.
F
Don't ever do that.
A
Okay. So. All right.
C
We're not going to do that.
F
Did I pass this test?
A
You turn around.
B
No, I didn't.
C
No.
B
I guess that means no.
C
No.
B
No means no.
C
No.
B
Anyway, so they. Yeah, they arrested him. She was just a little pushy.
D
He was trying to flex a little bit. Not saying that he played the NFL, but you know, I've had concussions.
B
Well, on my many years with the Dallas Cowboys and throwing them.
F
Tell me one thing, kid. Have you ever had a concussion?
A
He is a scratch golfer. Below. Scratch golfer. He's a great golfer. And I saw it, you know, we wanted to talk to his dad.
C
Yep.
A
And then I thought it'd be interesting to get his dad hooked up with Tiger Wood's mother because she has to deal with this.
B
Also because I saw Tony Romo's dad downstairs. Oh, here he comes. Oh, hey, here he is right here. So we're gonna bring their dad in. I didn't see the mom.
A
Well, she's gonna be around here a second too. Yeah.
B
Oh, there. Hey, Tony Romo's dad. How are you? Romero Romo.
F
Mr. Mr. D.J. ryan. Mr. Wolf.
A
Hi. It's been a while.
F
It has been a really harsh couple of days for my son.
B
Yeah.
F
Former number nine quarterback for the Dallas Vaqueros and color commentator for the NFL. CBS Sports, as you have here. I have a little traffic incident. Driving to see his grandparents, the Jubakovsky's in Wisconsin, many days ago. And this I want to know why. His offense was considered a misdemeanor hand slapper by the police. There have been of course repercussions. And now they say he would be suspended from his job. Doing the play by play with Mr. Gymnast.
A
Oh, no. Oh, who's that?
F
Who's. Who is this lady I'm talking to?
B
This is Tiger Wood's mom.
F
Tiger was mood.
B
She's right here. Yeah.
F
Yes, my son Tiger have also problem with impaired driving. Did your Tony also crash his car? No, he crashed his car. But he have enough trouble. They say what was in paradise? They say he drifted over the line on the Interstate 43 bridge in Wisconsin. Oh, Milwaukee. Home of Litchi Cunningham and the Fonz. Aren't the Fonz, Larry? Yes, he was. This Milwaukee says play the golf tournament. Well, recito crashes he car. My son Tiger always crash his car. And Tiger never Drink unless living. Oh, this. This is very. This is very dangerous way to behave for a. For a sports celebrity. Oh, this. I. I might notice well, that Tony really only drinks when his brother Jaime is in the car. Oh yes, and this is because Jaime, he always drink it. Since he was a teenager he drink. And of course he have a glass eye on the left side. Tony from the knife and fork accidentally has when he was only a little child. Oh, Tony Lomo. Yes. Well, his vision was sharp enough to spot the red and blue lights on the police car behind him. I think what happened. And this was not reported by the press say. But when he saw them flashing their lives, he took Jaime's handle of Jack of Daniels and he throw it out the driver's side window. 61 jars in a high tight spiral. Of course it was right into a teenage girl on her little huffy bicycle, causing her to swerve into a blind man. And he's seeing I cocker spaniel. Oh no. The poor brine man. Yes, and they say the dog did not survive the collision. Oh, rockery with taiga these days he have so many pleascalians. But he still panic after he clash car when he see police approaching. He had the idea to hide his peers. So he swallowed nine Xanax to hide the codons. Seven extra slinker Tynenoris and a whole bottle of Tums. This did not make good for his mug shot picture. It is very hard for the life of a celebrity athlete these days, as they say.
A
Oh yes.
F
I wonder, since we are both here, perhaps you would like to find a nice cantina and enjoy a margarita. Oh, you are such a nice man, Mr. Lomo. Would you like to take my Rex?
C
No,
F
no, I will drive. Adios, Mr. Wolf. I am off to a chair. A well deserved overdue day drinking binge of margaritas with Mrs. Woods. Adios.
C
So nice.
F
Thank you. And your English is very, very cute.
D
That's great. That's great. Made a couple out of them here, huh?
B
Awesome to have margaritas. And during the day I wonder what
A
kind of golfers they would raise.
D
Oh, I don't know.
F
I make it the hole in three.
A
8008-0072-3480-0800 radio Jeff in Tennessee. You got a 67 Camaro big block. So that's not a 396. What is that? Do what? Hey, your phone is cutting off real bad. I just took a picture of your name and your phone number in the car and I'm gonna have a Kyle Dunn hot rod Kyle call you and he can work on it off air.
F
What do you got there? Yes, Mrs. Crabtree. Oh, that's weird. They seem to really get along.
C
Yeah.
B
Hit it right off.
A
They do, man. You guys, last night watching Ink Masters. That was so weird. Tattoo show.
D
Pre K must have been into that.
A
Yeah. I came in last night after having a couple of pops and they were sitting there watching a tattoo show. It looked like a cooking show hosted by Dave Navarro, but it was tattoos and they were judging them and getting all technical about them. I've never seen it.
D
Pre K. What is that? Is that right? That's just. They have a winner.
F
Yeah.
D
Y' all talk about Ink Master.
A
Yes. Yeah, we was. Me and Baba was up late last
D
night getting stoned and watching Ink Master.
A

A
Cypress Hill is playing in Santa Monica. I think this weekend. I saw that when I was there last weekend. I saw the poster. I've not seen them yet and I want to.
D
That'd be great to see. To see you at that show.
A
What's more exciting, WNBA or MLB baseball? Okay.
D
Like, no doubt.
B
Come on, like, what even brought that up?
A
Yeah, I mean, the WNBA is getting more traction this year than ever. I. I haven't. I did see a real online saying, this is why the WNBA sucks. And it shows all these miss these ladies missing these, these easy shots. Yeah, left and right and right and left.
F
Yeah.
D
What you're seeing is not that you're seeing the fighting going on, the cat fights and all that. That's what's getting all the traction.
F
Oh, there's a hell of a lot more of that, like, than I've ever seen this season.
A
The good looking blonde's pretty spicy and she wants to throw down with people. What's her name? Sophie.
B
Sophie Cunningham.
F
Yeah, she's actually in our news sheet this week.
B
She actually is. She did something that is unheard of and it wasn't even on the Basketball court. She is pissed off both the left and. And the right. She's the. Everybody. Everybody's man over one tweet. What could you have said? Upset everybody on the left and the right. She said, quote, how do we save our farmland and stop all these dumb data centers? That stirred them up, man. Eight million views, 4,000 retweets, and a staggering 6,000 comments. Everybody's mad at her.
C
Stupid.
A
Yeah, that's what she thinks.
D
Slow.
A
Maybe it's useless. What is that?
D
What is that? That's Serena Carpenter song.
F
Oh, that's her answer to anybody that had a problem with her saying that about. I don't know, about the data center. They say they use a lot of water. I had a friend, Tony Thackeray, who, despite being quite a bit of hillbilly, took a lot of classes when he got back from his service in the Marine Corps. He took all kinds of geology and things. He told me one time, said, mamo, you can't destroy water. What happens is you can use it. Water never disappears. It just moves from place to place and changes states. Is that true?
B
That is true. Absolutely true. Yeah. Water just evaporates. It goes into, you know, vapor and comes back down as rain. It never goes away.
F
So data centers use it up, and it goes somewhere. Wastewater. And it goes back in the clouds.
A
But it's not wastewater because it's. It's not wasted. It's just used for cooling.
B
Yeah.
A
It's not changing this.
B
People are mad because they're emptying. Yeah. They use a lot, is the point. Okay.
F
Because if they're using good water.
B
Yes.
F
And like. Like messing up good water.
B
They are.
F
Just to make my Internet porn better. I would almost feel a little guilty about that.
B
It's not you.
F
That's all I'm saying.
B
It's not you, Bob.
D
As long as they don't restrict my watering.
B
It's not you, Bob.
A
And in watering your lawn. I understand.
B
Feel better?
A
This heat, but it is still going back down to the water table, correct?
D
Correct.
B
Yeah.
A
So it's not wasted.
F
You can't destroy water. John Clay Wolf. What happens is, like, energy, it just moves from place to place, changes state. Sometimes it's froze. Sometimes it's water.
B
Yeah.
F
Sometimes it's in a gaseous form.
B
Vapor.
F
It's like that.
A
Julio, San Antonio. What's on your mind?
C
Not much. I mean, just, you know, getting ready for the day.
A
Okay.
B
Nice of you to check in.
A
Was there anything else you wanted to say?
C
You know, I've been, you know, listening to y' all for the past, I don't know, a week or so. Yeah, last time I was listening to y', all, but, you know, I haven't had the chance. Man. I really like your show, man. I really like your show.
B
Yeah,
A
we like the fact that you like it. Thank you, sir. 800-800-7234.
D
Second time he's called in just to. Hey, guys.
A
Yeah, 8008-0072-3480-0800 radio. It is time for Mail from Jail. We have prisoners. Prisoners send a sale snail mail to our PO Box. And Johnny Cash comes down from heaven and reads them.
F
Hello, I'm Johnny Cash. John. This week's Mail From Jail entry reads, hello, John. My name is Emily. I'm from Waco, Texas, and I'm a natural redhead. My size is 36 bust, 26 waist and 36 hips. I'm a modern day Wonder Woman. But I could get some help. I got busted cutting deals behind the club that I danced at. And I would be just another sex charge if my date hadn't just given me a free bag of Columbia's finest. All right, I don't even do drugs. But when you're a hustler, you never turn down a sure thing that could make you some money. So here I am in a county jail. Broken, lonely, surrounded by butch women. My bunk mates turned me on to your show, though. And you sound so handsome. I heard you're having a big bike rally in a couple of months. I should be out by then. Can I come and work the bar or maybe dance on some tables? You could even get you a pole. I can work it. I've got a lot of experience and I'm easy to get along with. Please let me know. I can swear I can wear whatever you want. I swear. Or I can wear nothing at all. Love, Emily Danger. Tarrant County, Green Bay facility, Fort Worth, Texas.
A
She was in Waco a minute ago.
D
Oh, yeah. I don't think that's right, Johnny.
B
She got moved.
D
She moved really quick.
F
I'm just reading the letter, partner. If you've got mail from jail, just send it on down the line to us here at P.O. box 471517. That is in Fort Worth, Texas. 76147. That feels weird. Somebody get me a beer.
B
Speaking of people that have moved, that are in jail, do you hear Joe Exotic has moved to Kentucky? I got an email from him this week.
D
Yeah?
B
He said, Good morning, J.D. i've been moving to Kentucky. The whole system is really crazy. They act like they're broke. But then they fly people around in private jets. One person, one jet. I won't have minutes until the 13th, but we'll be in touch with you the first Saturday after the 13th. Hey, by the way, tell old John Clay Wolf he needs to put some pressure on that man in the White House to get me out of here.
A
Jesus.
D
So who's Joe?
B
For those that don't know exotic. I'm sorry.
A
The Tiger King.
B
Yes, the Tiger King. He's selling his entire library of music to raise money for his. For his appeal.
A
You know, Taylor Swift sold her copyright body work for about a billion. I wonder what his will bring.
B
I don't know.
D
How much does he need? What's the question?
B
50,000 is what he needs, basically.
A
Julio in San Antonio. You're back. What's on your mind?
C
Is this a recording?
A
No, no, no, no. I'm wondering the same thing myself. Go ahead.
C
No, no, I'm just here listening, you know, just having fun with the shows.
A
Oh, that's good.
C
What's in your mind?
A
Nothing, I just wondered why you called me.
C
Because there's a number here on the Internet for me to call. So I just figured I'll call and see what I get out of it, you know. What kind of conversation do we get?
A
Well, you just get to listen along. If you'd like to apply as a co host on the show, please go to jcwshow.com and we will have HR call an interview. 8008-0072-3480-0800-ROIL Louisiana. Scott, real quick. What have you got, boss?
C
Oh, that Elon. Elon is going to be building another stuff spaceport here in southwest Louisiana.
A
Really? Is that factor maybe?
C
Well, there's a realtor that says they're doing it really low key but they bought a bunch like 126,000 acres.
A
That's a lot.
C
So I'm gonna shoot some gumbo frozen in the first ship that they build here. Okay? Okay.
F
You know your Saturday doesn't last last long, but Jack Daniels will last forever. Jack Daniels will never die. Yeah, I can hear him. The last two callers are absolutely on the train.
A
8008-0072-3480-0800 radio is the call in number. We might lose you because we're doing a shift at the top of the hour and we go across four time zones. So if we lose you, go to jcwshow.com and that will bring up the video. Video and audio stream for the next hour or two hours of the show. And we will be right back. If you'd like to sell your car use give me the v I n givein.com and if you've got a classic or collector car, go to gmtvcc, which is give me the vin. Classic and collector gmtv. CC and Hot Rod Kyle will deal with you one on one. Other than that, you can call in 800, 100, 800 radio. We'll be right back.
F
The John Clay Wolf show is heard every week on great stations like 94.5 the Buzz, Houston's Rock and Alternative, and 98.5 the Fox Rocks Bakersfield. Catch the nation's fastest growing podcast and live video stream@jcwshow.com and we'll be back with more of the John Clay Wolf
B
show right after this.
A
There's a pretty wide gap between a
B
Hollywood cowboy and the real thing, but
A
Wolf Brand delivers authentic taste.
B
It's a Southwest tradition, plain and simple.
A
Neighbor, when's the last time you had a big, thick, steaming bowl of Wolf Brand bullshit? Well, that's too long.
E
Yeah, it's the John Clay Wolf show, the number one rated Saturday morning show broadcasting coast to coast from LA to New York, New York City.
A
Get a rope.
E
You're listening to the John Clay Wolf Show. Jcwshow.com Sammy Hagar invited old David Lee
A
Roth to come join in on a show.
F
How about that?
B
Yeah, David Lee Roth canceled all of his shows except for Sturgis, that's the one he kept, and Sammy Hager. It was kind of nice. They had a fallen out not too long ago, and so he went to Instagram with a heartfelt sort of, hey, Dave, come join us in Vegas. Pretty classy move, actually. Cut number five about your tour getting canceled and I want to say from
A
the bottom my heart, I'm sorry. I hope you're well, Mike, and I love the fact that you've been out there doing it supporting what we did in this band to keep this music alive. When you're ready to carry on, Mike and I support you. Come to Vegas for the residency in September. Come on, join us, sing a couple songs. MC the damn show. Come out and just do what you do, which is pretty damn entertaining. Anyway, hope you're well. I really do.
B
God bless.
A
Brother Rob, have you ever met Michael Anthony with Chip?
C
No.
A
He's always over there at the shop and I haven't met him yet. And Chip says, I'm gonna meet him. I'm a Michael Anthony from Van Halen because that was Sammy Hagar talking about inviting David Lee Roth to come play with them because he was sad for him because he's old and decrepit and they canceled his tour.
C
Oh, well, we're all going to be that way someday.
A
I agreed, agreed, agree. And speaking of old and decrepit, Rob is having an antique festival of old and decrepit items in Iowa called America Rust Belt.
C
America Rust, rust, Rust Belt. Rust Belt Americana.
F
Oh, boy.
C
Look it up on the web, Russ. Rust Belt Americana. You know what? It's so funny, John. People are like, wow, that's so far away. I'm like, God, there's not a day I don't get in the car at 3 o' clock in the morning and drive 10 hours to go pick up an antique.
A
Speaking of, I saw a thing where y' all put out. So if you don't know. Who I'm talking to is Rob Wolf from American Pickers.
B
Oh, okay.
A
And he. So when y' all go to an area to go. To go pick up. Does your publicist or does the. Does the history channels publicists send out, like in the local newspapers telling people y' all are going to be there and to submit applications to come see them?
C
Yeah, well, it's not that they basically submit collections is what they do. It's the new. Our New York office basically puts out to all the, you know, every city that we think we might be visiting. We don't just pop up in a city and be like, hey, we're going to pick this place. Right? You know, we have to know what we're doing. It costs too much money in today's world to actually send a filming crew, you know, with everybody there. 13 guys on the road. It's expensive, as you know. You know that, John.
A
Of course.
F
So.
C
So they're just sending feelers out.
A
So what's an area that you're going to be in, like, coming up?
C
We're gonna start filming again in September. I think we're going to be in Chicago, Indiana. Those areas, you know, we're looking for six, six or seven, maybe eight picks that we can do that, you know, have a history, have a story, a unique collection. You know, the show's based on not just the item. It's based on also the stories that go beyond the item.
A
So a little behind the scenes, I do the same thing with car collections and what I do with them when they have 20, 50, 100 cars, whatever it is, I tell my guys, let's get five of them bought now.
F
Yep.
A
Pay for them, be done, and then I'll head out there and we'll work the deal. And my five cars are already sitting there. I try to do this. This is how I want to do it. Because then, you know, if they're reasonable and we're dealing in a real world thing, how. What is your methodology to filter out the craziest people that are unrealistic?
C
We want the crazies. We want all that stuff. I mean, you know, as you know, in a pickers world, basically a picker's world is you could go there and there's nothing's for sale.
A
Right.
C
You know, that happens every day.
A
It's called a hoarder's world.
C
So that happens all. It happens all the time. So, you know, that's just part of the picking world. I mean, there's, you know, I've got places that I knock, door, knock. I still doorknock 15 years later after they told me this stuff wasn't for sale. Maybe it's that day that it is for sale and I actually get a chance to buy it. That's the key.
A
So when y' all do these shout
C
outs, we don't sign. Yeah. So we don't. Here's the big thing. Everybody has such a. They think that we're going there. They have the producer go there. No, they don't. We don't do any of that. We go there for the first. We're going there for the first time, right? The production. We're going there for the first time. We're going there blind. Basically, the production schedule means that they found good items at this and there's a good story behind it, and that's it. Then we have to go there and get the good story and find the good items. We don't pull that stuff out. They don't pull anything out. We don't want them to move anything. We want to be digging through a barn. We want to be digging through an ash, you know.
A
So how many leads do you sort through to find the six that you're going to visit?
C
Maybe 300.
A
Okay. And do you have people that know enough to sort through that stuff, or are you. But as you know, they don't know the specialty stuff. They might miss something and there might be something in there that's very valuable that you know and they don't. So how do you do that?
C
Yeah. Yes and no. I mean, the guys that are part of the show, they basically have been with us for 15 years. They know what Mike and I, what Frank likes, what Jersey John likes. They know what we're looking for. You know, and again, it's not necessarily sometimes about the items Some of the, some of the picks we've gone to, and I mean hundreds of them over the years that were about one item. But then all of a sudden we were digging and we found this other piece that was like, wow, this was, you know, because you can't unearth it. It. And most people that we're picking, they don't even know it's there either because they Forgot about it 30 years ago or 40 years ago, or their dad or their grandfather put that there. Right? That's the blunt. Those are the best days in the world.
A
We're talking to Rob Wolf in Iowa from America's pickers. American pickers, you guys. I mean, what's it been, 20, 25 years on the air now? How long. How long is the show?
C
24 seasons this year we start filming again. 24. 24th season this year, man. So, yeah, so long, long time. I got gray hair.
A
So you buy the stuff, y' all load it in a box van, they send it back to your shop or your brother's shop. You sort it?
C
Yeah, some goes to my brother's shop, some goes to my shop, some goes to Jersey shop. Whatever we're buying at that time, sort
A
it, clean it, stack it, rack it, throw stuff away that had to come with it that you didn't want, I'm guessing, I don't know. And then you put it for sale and it's just sitting there for sale.
C
My problem, usually at my brother's shop, it is because he has a retail location. I don't have a retail location. I got a 22,000 square foot building and it's, you know, it's full. And I just, you know, I've been doing it so long that I sell to museums, I sell to restaurants, I sell to high end collectors. I just, I like to. John, just think if you go to the shop every day and if you didn't want to go in, you just lock the door and leave, right? I like the fact that I don't have to be here. I can lock the door and leave.
A
So do you have your stuff sorted and priced on a website or is your brother do that or neither?
C
My brother, he has some of his stuff. I don't have time for that. I'm a solo operator. I have no employees. None? Zero.
A
I've got a guy to run the store down here in Walnut Springs, by the way. I talked to him yesterday. He's a classic car nut and he's a very good friend of mine. And I brought this up and he would be perfect and that's why I was asking you this stuff. So, so you would ship some stuff here. We need to figure out how to. Some kind of, some kind of deal where we could have some of your stuff. He could buy some stuff. I just kind of. We got to figure out how to get him paid. I said Rob would probably only be coming here once a year. Sure makes sense.
C
Be down there more than that. If I own something, I'm in. Yeah. Heck, yeah. I'd have to.
A
Okay.
C
I would have to. You know, I'll tell you what. I'm looking at a gas station. I'm looking at a gas station in New York that's got seven museums in the town and one is a major car museum. And the gas station would be turned into an Airbnb.
A
And would you buy the gas station? Would you buy it and flip it?
C
No, I'd buy it and use it as an Airbnb. Believe it or not, John, there's an Airbnb website that is just unique gas stations across the United states. There's over 580 of them that you can stay at.
A
So you need to. And I mean, I think your confidence in my abilities and what I do is growing with time. Not that, you know, we, we didn't meet that long ago, but we need. We. You obviously call me on the big car stuff.
C
Yeah.
A
And.
C
Oh, I do. I call you. I got, I got, you know, I got car stuff. I'll be calling you on any collections. I mean, I get hit with collections all the time because it's like anything. We can't pick every collection that comes up, comes about. It's just impossible.
A
Tell those producers to send me the leads on the big car stacks.
C
Yeah, well, you know, we're. I'm into cars. You know that.
D
Sure.
C
I want cars and I want certain ones and I want, you know, I want to hear the history and the stories behind these cars. I'm worse than you. You. I. I like to buy these cars, but I want to drive every one of them. I have to.
A
Well, you didn't drive that Oldsmobile 442 very much that you sold me because I had to put a whole new set of brakes on it.
C
I drove it.
A
Did you?
C
I drove it all the way across town.
A
Were the brakes fine when you got it? When you. When. When I got it, they were fine.
C
They were fine. I drove it all the way across town.
A
And this is old car with the top down.
C
I drove it with the top up.
A
See, this is old cars. He. He sold Me, a good car. I get it. They call me, say the brakes are out, it's $2,000. I was like, how the hell do we spend $2,000 on brakes on a 6, 5, 4, 4, 2. But I absolutely believe what he's saying because these things break. They just break. All old cars break. Is it a good one? It's a good one right now. It's a good one right now. But it could change any second.
C
I know. Because it's an old car. That's the way it works.
A
All right. I gotta, I gotta hard out, man. It was good talking to you. I enjoyed this conversation. All right, Russell. Rust belt America in a week. The show is in a week or in two weeks.
C
It actually starts on Thursday. RustbeltAmericana.com Rust BeltAmericana is in East Moline, the biggest show in the country and
A
it's only two years old. You're kicking ass. Good job, bud. Talk to you soon. And if you'd like to sell your collection, go to gmtvcc, which is classic and collection collectible and especially in California. Chip Foose and I are going. I'm gonna be out there for two weeks and he and I are going to go on some picks together. Cool. So if you want to sell some cars to Chip Foose and I, he and I will show up at your place at your barn in your collection and make offers on your stuff. And we're going. We've already got two lined up. But, and, but if you just want to meet Chip Foose, we're not going to come out there just so you can meet yours. We're gonna do some damn business. Business. And we're fixing to do business right now. 800, 800. 7, 2, 3, 4. It's the lightning round. Call in with your cars. New cars, too. We. We get into these old cars so much. I need exotics. I need Lamborghinis. I need, I need Ferraris. I need good Porsches. I need great diesel trucks, Jeeps, all that stuff. Camrys, Corollas. We buy them all@givemetheven.com but I'm going to do it in front of you on the radio right now at 8008-0072-3480-0800-ROAD, call in during this music break. I'll take you there.
C
We'll.
A
We'll be moving very fast. So year, make, model miles, average, rough or clean. I'll throw a number. Yes. No, maybe. Boom. Let's go on the next one. Be right back.
E
Now back to the John Clay Wolf show, presented by givemethevent.com hit him up right now. 1, 800, 800 radio. 1, 800, 800 radio. This is the John Clay Wolf show.
A
David in Salt Lake City. You there?
C
Yes, Sir.
A
So a 79 Pontiac Grand Prix. I'm trying to envision it in my brain. What does that look like?
C
I'm telling you, the year before it was way different. Wavy, long, like a pimp. But the year after it was very conservative because they were trying to run, you know, competitive with the Japanese more.
A
Now I'm looking at it. I'm looking at it. I googled it and hit images and it looks like a 1980 Oldsmobile Cutlass Coupe to me. It's got to be the same chassis.
C
Oh, it looks like it.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. It had to be sitting on that chassis because it really looks like it. So you want seven grand for it? It's 83,000 original miles. How nice is it?
C
Well, aside from a couple of switches that are coming loose on some door panels, it's in pretty good shape. The seats are in great shape. Windows are good.
A
Paint.
C
There's some modest amount of little scratches on the windows here and there.
A
But I think the car brings four to five grand in my auction lane.
C
But I was kind of estimating you'd say something in that ballpark, so I'm not surprised.
A
Okay.
C
The doors, you know, you roll the windows down and it's like a convertible almost because the windows are huge. Mm.
A
Well, if you want to sell it for me, if you want to ship it here, I'll give you four grand. If you want me to ship it, I need to back the shipping out. I got a haul it from Utah to Texas. Just go to give me the vid.com. let's take a look. Thank you, sir. That loves your show. John in San Diego. Good morning, you're on the air.
C
Hey, good morning. I just wanted to tell you I really enjoy the show. I don't have a car to sell.
A
Sure.
C
Our 30 year Navy veteran and. Right. Well, I'm watching you. I. I can't do this. Watch you on. Oh, I got a video and try to talk. Yeah. So yeah, I was a 30 year Navy veteran. I was an officer. And I would like your listeners to know that the movies always portray officers as stupid people. And we're not. We're dedicated and try to be the best leaders we can. And I think that's important for the public to know.
A
Thank you for your service, sir. And thanks for calling and giving us a shout out. I hope we keep you laughing?
C
Yep. You will? Thank you so much.
A
All right. Bye, Kyle. Indiana. You're thinking about coming to Walnut Springs, Texas? You want to know about the cantina? Yes. Go to the can. Did you watch that video I put out on my YouTube channel last week?
C
Yeah. Yeah, I did. And I've never been to Texas in general. Something about going in the next couple weeks. Well, recommendations.
A
Just, you know, I'd go through the hill country. I'd go to Austin. I'd go to Fredericksburg, Fort Worth. Go to the stockyards, you know, it's cool. It's hot. Dude, I wouldn't come.
C
Are they really nice?
A
Yeah, but it's so hot. I would wait until. Unless you. Yeah, I mean, I'd come. We have a motorcycle rally. We've got a motorcycle rally at the end of October. And we've got a big car show event in November. That would be the time to come because it's just too damn hot. Yeah. Thanks for calling 800-800-RODIO. My name is John Clay wolf. Is that clock correct? It's.
D
It's break.
A
Yeah, cycled over. We'll be right back. Remember jcwshow.com, that guy that said, I'm watching you, listening to you in San Diego? He's watching, watching and listening to us on a live feed@jcwshow.com we'll be right back. If you got a good car to sell us, call me. 800-800-Radio. A good one, because I'd like to buy good ones. We'll be right back. All the bad ones and the normal ones just go to givemetheven.com givemetheven.com America's best car buyer. We buy, I don't know, 700 cars a week. Used to be a thousand, but that was during the coveted market when we could overpay for everything. And now it's back to reality. We're on the normal market.
C
Be right back.
E
The John Clay Wolf Show. JCW Show.com we're gonna hold hands and
A
walk through the fire together, my brother. Sir, with tropical storm birth expected to make landfall tonight, what are you planning to do to stay safe? Hide out in the dope house, Ride
B
on out, smoke all the crack rock I can. Yeah, me and this little chicken right here, we going to be just fine.
C
All right.
A
Stay safe out here.
E
Oh, we're talking about John Clay wolf, aren't we? Check out the show online, jcwshow.com or give us a call. 800, 800 radio.
A
Good morning, America. How the hell are you? Hey, we do this thing called Backtracks. I'm going to throw these two backtracks at home so you guys can call in while we get into this other story. And the person that pick figures it out, wins the stuff. Cut one. Not even saying, I will, I will, I will. My God, I could tell who that. I think I would figure out who that was if I said that. Hit it one more time. Cut 2. The voice I hear backwards. Okay, so this is George Harrison.
F
Yes, it's.
A
And you need to figure out these two George Harrison songs. However, one of them is. He's the vocal on with another group.
F
Yeah.
A
So one of them is him solo, and the other is he is his vocal with another group that he was in. So you guess the name of these two songs, and you win the stuff. And we'll tell you about the stuff when you call in and win 800-800-7, 2, 3, 4. Which spells out 800, 800 radio. Cut one. Cut 2. Okay, you guys got that 800, 800 radio call in. JD what do we have? We have something.
B
We have a fun story, actually. Where's the weirdest place you've ever fallen asleep? This guy fell asleep in the back of a pickup truck. Not just pickup pickup truck, but one of them is actually moving down the highway. A couple of good old Oklahoma boys returning from a UFC event said they get in their truck in the parking lot at the UFC event, and they drive all the way from Pay Paycom center to home in Edmond. Edmond, Oklahoma.
A
Hang on. Let me get this straight, all right? You come out of the ufc, you're drunk and tired, and you crawl into a stranger's truck?
B
Correct.
A
Okay.
B
Then the stranger comes out, and he gets in his truck. He doesn't know you're in the back? Ah, yeah. So he gets in. He drives home from PAYCOM to Edmond, Oklahoma, which is about 30 miles.
A
Okay.
B
night. And you're sleepy, sleeping. We have a video that goes with this. Go to jcwshow.com to catch the video. And, well, they don't even know he's back there until they park the car at home. Cutting number six.
C
You all right, Andrew?
A
You got a strike. You got someone in the bed of your truck?
C
Open it up.
A
Are you okay?
C
You good? I'm good. You want to get an Uber? You got a friend you can call? Can you open it up? Open what up? Oh, yeah. Tailgate.
D
Yeah.
A
Oh, the tailgate.
B
Holy. I didn't.
A
You're all the way in Edmond, Oklahoma.
C
Thank you kindly. Not a problem, man.
A
He just walks away That's a South
F
African soccer jersey there.
B
Thank you you kindly. I'm going to go home now, and I don't know where home is.
F
Did you notice how friendly they were to each other?
B
Oh, it's Oklahoma.
F
On the. On the Instagram account where you find that. It's all the chats. That's what they're all about. Wow, Oklahoma. Look how nice they are to each other.
B
Friendly.
D
If you had a stray in the back, would you be that friendly?
B
I'd be scared first. Cuz you don't know what condition they're going to come out of now. That would. It would freak me out. Then you'd be mad. What are you doing in my truck?
F
If he's friendly, I'm friendly, man. Like, I don't want any trouble, you know?
D
Have you had any occurrences like that where you just fell asleep somewhere?
B
Oh, I fell asleep. This is gonna sound worse than it is, but I fell asleep on a train track once.
F
Oh, God.
A
Yeah, well, place to take a nap.
B
Yeah, well, it was ghb. You know what GHB is?
A
Is that drugs?
B
It's actually. It's a liquid. Yeah, okay, it's drugs. It's a liquid. But I've been drinking and I was hanging out with some friends and they're doing this little capful. It's like the top of a soda can. It's a capful. I'm like, oh, that's pretty cool. So you take the cap and you go, yeah, nothing really happened. Okay, fine. And you go on. Then we walked out back and about where the train tracks are, 45 minutes an hour later, they finally came and found me. They're like, get up. What are you doing? We've been looking for you for an hour. I'm like. And I had my hands. They got a picture of it. My hands back behind my head, just like I was laying there having a big nap.
A
You fell asleep in that small town at that. At that blinking light and a Volkswagen bug in 1995.
B
What?
D
Wasn't five, it was 99. Going to a friend's frat party over at the SFA. Yeah.
A
And what town were you in? Even though?
D
Stevenville.
A
Okay, so you're in Stephenville.
D
Or not. Stephen, what is it? Whatever. Whatever it is out there in sfa. I can't remember. I think it's Steven.
A
Stephen F. Austin. I don't know. That's Tarleton. Stephenville. Anyway, so you fell asleep.
D
Stop sign.
A
At the stop sign. How long?
D
I don't know. I just.
A
I don't know, I just woke up,
D
it was like, like, oh crap, I got to get going here.
B
I, I, Your foot stayed on the break.
D
I was in park, I guess I just park, I just parked it. Yeah. And just figured I guess I was going to chill cuz then lights can take long sometimes.
B
Sure.
A
Can you, you put in park and
D
that's not a good idea when you're drinking.
F
Happen to you, man.
A
How, how many times have you. Oh hell, I just.
B
Did the cops wake you up or did you wake you up?
D
No, I woke myself up.
A
I just woke up.
B
That's the worst.
F
Yeah, Lucky.
A
How many times have you made the conscious decision to sleep in a car in your life?
B
Oh my God. 20.
C
Okay.
A
What about you, Bob?
F
At least a dozen.
A
What about you, Charlie?
D
Well, a couple. Once was light and I've done it before where you're just sitting in a parking lot. It's like, yeah, that's a good idea. I'm not driving, but. Which I should have done that night.
A
Well, I'm not even just saying about drunk. I'm just saying like work or you're out and driving.
B
Oh, hundreds little nap naps.
A
No, I mean like it's too, Translation is too cheap to get a hotel room.
B
Oh, okay, 10.
A
I bet I'm 50.
B
Are you really?
F
Really?
A
Yeah, I, I used to travel, chasing cars. I mean I flew myself in Bonanza and Baron a lot, but when I was driving, I don't know, I just, you know, it'd be like one in the morning and I'm like, okay, so I can pay 150, $200 to, to go, to go lay in this bed and get up and leave. Or I can just pull into this truck stop between these two 18 wheelers. Just go to sleep.
B
Yeah, that makes sense.
D
Sorry. On this YouTube stream, there's a famous spot where somebody fell asleep on a table at the GMTV garage.
B
Oh, we forgot about that.
A
That's right, Bob. That's right. That was awesome.
B
Now Bob, is that the strangest place you've ever fallen asleep? Drunk or not?
F
I fell asleep in a rowboat once at my buddy's house.
B
Of course you did.
F
And he lived on the lake. Didn't even have a name. It's one of those little lakes out there where I come from. And I woke up sometime in the middle of the night.
C
Yeah,
F
in the middle of the lake. It is a funny, it is a funny story. And I, I just started yelling and I didn't hear him when, you know, I just sat there and so I just went Back to sleep. And the morning came. They were all like,
B
now we're worried about you.
F
Yeah, but I don't think I slept on the table.
B
No, we're dangerous.
D
No, you were asleep. Your shoes are off.
F
Can I stop moving?
D
Yeah.
A
Hey, Chris at Houston, he's asking, is there beef between myself and the morning showman in Houston, Texas, Rod Ryan? Why do you ask?
C
I'm just curious. This is the first time I've ever called into your show. I can't believe I got on. I know you had said that, Elliot, the radio wizard down here, here is kind of your new handler.
A
Yep, he's here.
C
All the complaints from everything.
A
Yep.
C
But you had mentioned Rod the other morning and I know Rod. I've met him several times at different events down here in Houston. And you were like, yeah, come on out to the last event and whatever and make peace. But what peace was there to make?
A
I don't think they wanted us on their station. When we started about seven years ago. A lot of these morning show guys, you know that that's their house. And then you've got some crap talking guy from out of town on their station, raising hell in their house and they're like, who the hell are you to think that you're allowed to be like me on my station? Yep. And so they just. That that's it. I mean, and, and. But I did feel a little bit of that in the beginning for sure. And the best was Heidi and Florida Frank in la. When we got on there, they were the most welcoming morning show that we've ever joined on their station now, I think the Woody show in la. Because we're on in LA this now.
F
Yeah.
A
I don't think that they were very happy that we started on this station.
F
Really?
A
I'm actually certain of it.
B
Okay, how do you find out?
C
Good to know.
E
I.
C
He, he just went into the radio hall of Fame. I hope you. Are you in the Texas Radio hall of Fame? Yes. No.
A
No, I am not. I'm a loser.
C
Soon you will be, my friend.
A
Okay, well, thank you, Chris.
F
All right.
A
Yeah, they, they said, I think that they were just mad that because they were running replays of the Woody show in la.
B
Gotcha.
A
And so we're on live and they were like, we'd rather us be on replay.
B
So they bumped his repeat for our live show. Yeah, that's where you get the ego. Okay, Makes sense.
A
All right, well, good morning la. We are live.
C
Yes.
A
And we're not on replay. And you can call in to prove it. 800-800-723-4. We're glad to be here. Backtracks coming up next. Oh, Crab's on there. He's already got an answer. We'll be right back.
E
Now back to the John Clay Wolf show, presented by givemetheven.com hit him up right now. 1-800-800-radio. This the John Clay Wolf Show.

And then the Jay Leno behind the scenes a little bit on the Jay Leno Garage. That was so cool last weekend. 800-807-234. We played back tracks. We played these two songs backwards. Let's see what they sound like. Crab, what's your guesses?
C
By the way, the super group that you were talking about was a traveling Wilberries, I believe not The Beagles. Heading for the. God damn it. Heading for the light and my sweet lord.
A
No, but you're right there. George Harrison Kevin in Fort Worth, Texas. What are your two guesses? Kevin, man, you really need to quit talking so much. It must have been too hard, Bobbo, because we don't have many people that played.
F
Is that right?
A
Yep.
D
I don't think anybody's alive that listened to that song.
A
Yeah, the answers are give me love and Handle with Care. What's the front? That's a good song. Hang on. Pete might not know he's on delay. Let's listen. Pete, what are your guesses? He wants. He's got some old rusted Ass car.
D
Second clip here. This one. Everybody should know.
F
Yeah, I dug that record, man. George Harrison, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, and Jeff Lynn from elo. Quite a record.
A
Record. L. Oh, you know, it was this
F
day in 1971, Harrison put together the concert for Bangladesh. This is before Live Aid, before the Princess Trust. They raised like $17 million for the people of Bangladesh who were ironically starving and drowning at the same time. Did a lot of. Did a lot of good in the world.
C
George was.
F
George was the. I'd say the really spiritual beat.
B
Absolutely. Yep, yep, yep, yep.
A
You know, I was thinking, thinking if you're bored at work, if you don't screw with everybody, print out a fake list of everyone's salary with the words on top Corporate confidential. Sure. Just leave it on a printer in the office and walk away. You know what kind of hell that would cause? Please don't. Horrible.
D
No, no.
B
Oh, I can't wait till Monday. Thanks, John. Thanks for the idea because, you know, I work it. Give me the vintage.com during the week.
D
I already hear rumors of.
A
So do you know, so and so said that he makes this.
D
I'm like, no, it's not true. No.
B
Office chatter is so funny.
F
Should never be discussed among co workers, man. It's nothing but a bad idea.
B
John, you were going. You're going out to the West Coast. You were hanging out with Jay Leno. The kind of reminded me of a video, viral video. Pink Floyd, Nick Mason showcasing his multi million dollar car collection.
F
Have you seen this?
A
No.
B
Nope. He was showing it to Brian Johnson of acdc, who might have a few himself. We have this video@jcwshow.com. you can watch the stream. And this is cut number 15. Oh, look at this little fenty.
A
Welcome to my world.
B
This is beautiful.
A
Yeah, it's a fairly sort of mixed bag.
B
Yeah, well, there's nothing here under at least 5 million. It's marvelous.
A
This is really where it all started. Of course, because this was my dad's car.
B
I didn't realize that you were right into the Aston Martin.
F
The vintage ones, the old stats.
A
Oh, no, absolutely.
F
It's beautiful. Metal car.
B
They're absolutely great cars to drive.
F
Yeah.
A
It's incredible that Nick's car collection is
B
probably now more valuable than his earnings from Pink Floyd.
D
We're like a museum.
F
Yeah, those old Aston Martins. All steel.
A
Thomas in Seattle, Washington, good morning. You're on the air.
C
Hey, good morning.
A
Hey, hey, what you got?
C
What's up?
A
Fire away.
C
Okay, who's turned? All right, I've got a 1986 and a half Porsche 928. Five speed. Okay. 500 of them were brought into the US and just to give you an idea of the condition, there was a brand new Porsche dealership opened up here north of Seattle about a year and a half ago. And this car sat on the showroom floor through that grand opening and continued to be there for about a month and a half. Okay, so the car's perfect.
A
How many miles?
C
I'm getting old, and I'm tired of being responsible for it. I would just cry if it got a ding in it.
A
How many miles are in it? On it.
C
I'm not at home, but it's somewhere between 93 and I think 95, 000.
A
Okay.
C
And full of trophies.
A
I am going to have a guy named Garrett call you. That's one of my buyers on the. On. He's really specialized in these cars. I see what you want for it, and I know you're getting old and we all feel sorry for you, but with what you want for it, you want it all. So you're still pretty.
C
Well, that's what they go for. That's what they go for. I'm back.
A
Right? Then why don't you just sell it on back?
C
Okay. It's a hassle.
A
Okay, so why do you want me to pay that and I do all the hassle and take all the risk?
C
Well, because that's your job and you're advertising that. You want us to call. So I was sitting in my truck at an accident, and I was like, hey, I'm gonna call these guys and see if they even know what I got.
A
And I got you.
C
I'm not sure you do.
A
No, I know exactly what very rare car. I know exactly what you got. I mean, but I know that you're not leaving me any room to work at 45 grand.
C
No, you want to put the car away is what you want to do. You don't want to resell it right away. You want to sit on it. It's that type of car. You don't want to just resell it for five grand to make, you know, you want to sit on the car and do. Go get Tom Cruise to sit in it. They just got sold his for 2 million here a couple three years ago.
A
Gotcha.
C
Just because he sat in it. But, you know, the five speeds are really rare. And yeah, you don't want to flip this car right away.
F
Jack Daniels.
A
What about it? Everybody's Crown Royal.
F
Everybody's doing.
A
Garrett will give you a call. Thomas. Thank You. He can't give you 45 grand, but he can buy. He can buy. Oh, well, then. Then you go through that process on bring a trailer. You call me back and tell me what a terrible experience it is because it's a son of a bitch. And then the people that don't pay. The people that don't pay. What do you do for a living?
C
I know.
A
Or how did. I mean.
D
You're retired.
C
I manufacture. I manufacture America's favorite fire starter, called the Super Cedar Fire Starter.
A
So is that your company or is that where you work?
C
That's. No, that's my company.
A
Okay. And do you do it for free?
C
I developed the product.
A
Do you do it for free?
C
I'm sorry?
A
Do you do it for free?
C
No. I'd be happy to. I'd be happy to send you some free ones, though.
A
I understand, but. I mean, I just gave you a free plug on the. But my point is, this is my business and this is what I do. And if I give you all I could ever get for it, then I can't make a profit and I won't make money and I won't have a business as, you know, if you sold your stuff. Yeah, you get my point. I'm not trying to be sarcastic, but I'm being serious. Serious. You gotta. You gotta leave us some room to work. You just got to.
C
That's what you have to do, John. You have to sit on the car because all it's going to do is appreciate. Okay? There's not these. This thing's got Porsche trophies from Porsche parades. You know, fill in the trunk. And I don't even. I don't even detail the car when I take it to the contest. I go through the car wash and I still get second place.
A
You got a good.
C
Car's perfect.
A
You've got a good one. Yeah, I'm with you.
C
That's what I'm trying to tell you. You don't set. You don't resell it. You sit on it. You hang on to it. Put it in your barn.
A
How many dollars of inventory do you have in your company?
C
Oh, gosh. You know, right now, probably 150,000. Not a lot. They go out as fast as I can make them.
A
So at this point, you're just cash flowing your inventory yourself. You're not borrowing on it.
C
No.
F
Right.
C
No.
A
But when you were. When you were new and young, you did. But I don't either. But. But if I did, you got to take the 45 grand, plus the shipping from Seattle, and then Figure time value of money, Right. So if, if, if you what, what would 8% interest on inventory line be on 50 grand for a year? I don't know off top of my head.
C
So it'd be 4,000 bucks.
A
Yeah. 4,000 bucks a year and it's going to go up 4,000, 6,000 bucks a year. These are just, I've got plenty of cars that I'm sitting on. I've got Paul Newman's 1977 for a Ferrari sitting in my thing. That's probably worth a million bucks. And I, I, okay, I mean, I, I get it. I've got a XJ220 sitting down there that I'm waiting for it to appreciate. But this car, I don't know if it's going to go up have. I don't know if it's going to outrun the time value of money is what I'm trying to say because it already went up. It went up a lot in the past three years.
C
Correct. But it is still one of the very sought after and rarest models of 928. See it. It's about what year it is. It's the first year of all the upgraded brakes and suspension.
A
I remember when it hit the showroom. I'm with you. I know what you got. Thomas, I don't think you realize who you're talking to. I'm on your side. I'm on your side. We're just, we're not arguing over anything except price. That's it. I love what you got.
C
Okay, buddy.
A
All right. We'll work on it. Thank you.
D
We got Good morning Seattle right?
A
There's a pulse up there. Okay.
C
Yeah.
A
Oh, but that's all the time. That's the, that. That's the world we live in.
