Welcome to the Joy Broadcast.

Welcome back to the Joy Broadcast podcast and our Energy Quest series. Today I am sharing with you quite possibly my favourite chakra to work with. Have I said that already? I think I might have done. Especially about the throat. The throat and the sacral are my two favourites, and I'll say that, and I'll probably say others are my favorites as well. They're all my favorites. It's like having lots of little children and how do you choose? But the sacral was one that I had to do a significant amount of work on. When I did my chakra healing course way back in 2018, I was still in the midst and the throes of working through some deep, deep hurt in my marriage, in my relationship, from betrayal, from infidelity, through friendships, again through betrayal and hurt and judgments. And the sacral I understood through that healing was incredibly powerful, to heal my sacral, where I had felt that I had the potential to block everything off, to block off my life through my sacral. So this really opened up such a beautiful, empowered state of knowing that I could be able to heal and love and find joy again in my life through my sacral. So maybe that is why I love it so much, because of its deep connection to joy and to pleasure and to all of the wonderful things in life and to having this vibrant energy and this feeling and sense of aliveness. This is that comes from working with your sacral. And whether you're in, whether you know your human design and whether you know you're defined or undefined, you still have the capacity to experience incredible joy in your life by working with your sacral. So when we think about the location of the sacral in our body, it's around your, your navel area. It's like the belly button. It's for women. It's the womb area of your, of your physical body. And its purpose in terms of the energetic expression is all to do with your gut instincts. And I think we're all born with these, but often we're conditioned out of having them because we're meant to use our logical brain. And this is a huge permission slip for you to really tap back into those gut instincts and use your gut instincts to lead your life and then back it up with your mind, with logic, rather than the other way around. This is when I felt that my head and my heart were often in conflict. Actually what it was, it was my mind and my ajna, my third eye and my, my sacral in massive conflict with each other because I was trying to make logical sense of the situation rather than following my gut instincts and using that to lead me. When I was able to do that, it was so much easier to bring harmony between the two. Following my gut instincts, my life energy, my joy, my pleasure, and then using my incredible brain, that wonderful computer, to create the logic and the strategy and the path, rather than the other way around. Rather than creating and leading from logic and then trying to drag my sacral with me, much easier to do it this way around. So gut instincts, it's the, the energy center of vitality, that life force energy. You can tell people who have it because they are just so lit up from within, they can be so happy on their own. It's about being on one of your own dates with yourself and just having the most magical, wonderful time. And yet I'm one of those weirdos who's able to do that. I've even labeled myself as a weirdo when I'm really, really not. It's about saying that you have this. It's the recognition that you have this zest for life. When we talk about vitality, what do I mean? It's that. It's. It's the zest for life. It's that get up and go. It's that real, real joyful energy. It is the pure joy center. So I've written down in my notes here today. It is the pure joy center. It's the center of pleasure and love and sexuality and desire and all of the power that can really light up your life and create that movement in your life to where you want to go. It is connected to your G center. So it's connected to lots of other center, but this motor center is the one that's going to really drive you and move you forward. So in terms of the body, how is it related? It relates to your fertility organs for both men and women. So the ovaries, the womb, the testes, all of those things. It's all about fertility and reproduction. And I don't mean that just in the sense of procreation, but it can also mean in terms of creativity for your life, projects, business, whatever you have going on in your life. It's that birthplace of creativity, whether that's life to a human being or life to a lifelong project. It's creation, yes, for babies, but also it creates the fuel that is going to give you the energy to have that vitality to create the life experience that you wish. I also believe that the sacral is really this goddess energy center. And I don't mean that that's just purely for women. I mean that that is a goddess energy for both men and women. It is a real feminine energy center. It's the energy of flow. It is the energy of movement, of being. It's like water. And actually, I suppose the traditional element for this, this energy center, is the element of water, representing the feminine flow, the ebbs and the flows of life, the ins and the outs, the ups and the downs, and our ability to go with the flow in life rather than trying to force, control or pressurize. The flower that's often related to this center is the lotus flower because it's rooted deeply in mud, in watery mud, and yet the lotus flower opens up and is always clean. I think that's interesting, isn't it? The lotus flower that procreates underneath the surface in the darkness and comes up mu.
A
Multiple.
B
But, you know, I found real conflict when I came down to record this podcast this morning, because the element of water is typically the one that you would use to cleanse this chakra. But it was so interesting. I woke up really early this morning at 5:55. Don't you just love an angel number? And as I lay there in the stillness and the quiet of this morning, I was like, I knew I was coming down to record this. And I was like, open me up. And it's often what I do first thing in the morning. It's just like, show me what I need to know. How am I going to record this podcast? What's the meditation I want to do to really activate my sacral? And I allowed myself to lead myself, you know, having opened up all of the wonderful centers that we've done so far that the crown and the divine Connection, the inner wisdom from the third eye. And then just really allowing all of that beautiful energy to flow through my throat and ask, what do I want to say? And then bring it into my G center to say, what's the direction I want to lead this? It wasn't water. And the meditation and the visualization that I took myself through was just so incredibly beautiful. So I'm actually going to repeat that for you all today. And if you do want a water meditation, I have done one before. I've done a really beautiful sacral visualization with water. And if you'd like that in the show notes, you can contact me and just ask me for the. For the visualization. It was part of a Lean for Life program that I recorded back in. When would that have been? And we were in lockdown when I recorded that. It was in 2021 and it was really interesting. When I first did my health coaching qualifications, I wrote a program called Think yourself thin but didn't think that that would be well received online. So I ended up working with an incredible nutritionist. And while I did all of the mental work around thinking yourself in and healthy, she did all of the practical work. Wonderful tiff. And that's still available to purchase at any point if you'd like that as well. So do contact me if you would like that one. I've gone on a massive tangent here, but through that program, it was a lot about releasing the guilt and the shame for your body. And it's so related to the sacral energy. And I think that's why I brought that back. But let's get back to our beautiful sacral energy center and continue sharing with you the powers of the sacral. So a healthy sacral. You know, I've said this already. It's. This is like this real lit up energy. It's on fire. You can often say, oh, she's on fire, he's on fire, he's lit up. It's this element of aliveness is the creativity is flowing. They are inspired by life. They're moving, they're flowing. You can see, you know, it's about fully trusting yourself and your instincts. You're really, really in tune with them. You've got loads of energy, but you're not in a frantic state of energy. It's not forced or frantic. It's just this beautiful flow of energy. Beautiful dance of energy. They are the epitome of joy. You are the epitome of joy. I am the epitome of joy. When my sacral is in this Beautiful energy, the receiving of beautiful pleasures, whether that be big or small. It's the giving and the receiving, both sexually, sensually and in life. But detaching the giving from the receiving or the receiving from the giving, it's not the tit for tat energy. It's just that I'm in the giving state and I'm in the receiving state and I'm not making it mean anything if I give or if I receive. It's just this beautiful flow. It's a liberation of being free to be really you and only you know what's going to float your boat and light your fire. And really giving yourself permission to know that you know when your gut, when your sacral is turned on, and knowing that that's okay without any guilt or any shame, and allowing yourself to flick that switch so that you can be in that joy state and in that pleasure state. It is the joy of being yourself that is true beautiful sacral energy. So what's the unhealthy version then of a blocked or stagnant sacral? Or this one, particularly when it's flowing and spinning too fast, is potentially too dangerous. So let's go with the blocked, often lacklustre. The feeling of your sacral is this feeling of lackluster, of stuck stagnation. No enjoyment, no pleasure in your life. Perhaps bored or frustrated, apathetic. It may even be burnt out. Just like you've had too much fire and you've burnt yourself out. You've got no energy, it's literally hopeless, no pleasures. You're flipped into this pessimistic state. Perhaps you're even really codependent on other people to light that fire within you rather than being able to find it for yourself. You may be really needy in love and connection and touch and intimacy and really disconnected from that ability to do that for yourself. A darkness, a real dark time. But maybe you're the other way can be this really vibrant, very, very fiery, very, very high, as I've said, frantic energy. Almost like too much bouncing off the walls, sparks flying everywhere, you know, almost like this forcing, pushing, controlling, overdoing it, energy. And we know what overdoing it means. Overdoing it overdoes it. If you overcook your chicken, it's been too hot for too long. It's this real over the top, giddy, as I say, sparks flying, energy. And that could be in anything. It could be overdoing it and overdoing it in your work, in sex, in, in your workouts, in your training. It's it's just, it's all a little bit too much. It's overly positive to the point of being perhaps toxic. You've heard of toxic positivity. It's. It's just all a little bit too much. So what are the things and the elements that we can do here? The color is orange, all the fiery elements, I think, but not quite red. It's just that beautiful flame of orange, perhaps even peachy tones if you want to soften it, if you want to. Actually that's a really good point. If you want to. Really. If you're feeling quite burnt out or lackluster, then bright oranges are a really beautiful colour to wear or to surround yourself. Perhaps if you're feeling a little bit over frantic and you want to tame down the sacral, maybe the softer tones of the oranges. So like the peaches, that would be quite lovely foods that you can eat. Obvious ones, all the orange ones, Oranges, carrots, anything. Citrus, peppers, mangoes, all really, really good to help with this lovely energy. And I've mentioned the element, I've mentioned the element being water, traditionally for the sacral. But when I was sat there this morning at 5:55, my guides, my spirit, my inner wisdom showed me something very, very different. You know, I believe all of the elements can be really beautifully used with the sacral energy. You know, the wood, the foundations, the stability of a fire, the air and the fire, the sparks to fly and the water. You know, this can either dampen or you can use it to boil to create air. There's nothing more destructive than an untamed fire. But there's also nothing more frustrating than.
A
A fire or a candle that just won't light.
B
You know, burnout is something that a lot of people come to work with me for, whether they feel that they are on the verge of burning out or whether they have gone through and are in that burnt out stage. You may have heard me say this before, but there are some words that I like to reframe and I've said, and I apologize, I'm going to swear right now, but balance is bullshit. If you're trying to create balance is bullshit. You'll never create balance. You can't create that balance. It means equal parts of everything. Have I said that before on this podcast? You know, when you look at a table, all of the legs are balanced equal to create that balance of the tabletop. And in life, I just don't believe that that happens. You know, you can't have equal measures of your work, your life Your friends, your partners, your kids, your health.
A
It's just not going to happen.
B
You're setting yourself up for failure. So to me, balance is bullshit. And burnout. Burnout was the best thing that ever happened to me. And I can say that now with a big smile on my face because I look back and that was the most pivotal time in my life. And ever since then, every time I've burnt things down and recreated something new from the embers of the as of the burnout, something even more magical has arisen. I had a client once, she said, ali, you don't just metamorphosize like a butterfly once you are a phoenix. Excuse my French again, but that, that to me was like, yes. Why do we fear burnout so much when we can actually embrace the Phoenix energy? And this is what the sacral is all about. It's that burning down and lighting up and burning down and lighting up. And I'm such a big fan of the Harry Potter movies. Our family, we've loved all the books and we love it. And I love Dumbledore's Phoenix. I can't remember what his name, but the way he just goes poof, poof, poof. And that's really how I feel my life is. Every time I've burnt something down, it's like giving me this energy to reignite and fly even higher. I really should look up the Phoenix's name. Maybe, you know, maybe you'll message me and tell me so. Burnout was the best thing to happen to me. Balance is bullshit. Burnout was the best thing to happen to me. And my breakdown gave me the breakthroughs to living this most wonderful life. That's. That's what I say quite a lot. So shall we shift into moving into our meditation and flow and our energy healing session? So I'm going to be quite strict with you on this one. If you really want to get the full benefits of this, I'm going to ask you to stop your dog walk, stop cooking, stop whatever you're doing and pause this and come back and do this one when you know that you're not going to be interrupted for at least 10 minutes and come back in and do this one with a real level of focus. Because this is a real power one. We want our sacrals lit up so that we can create this beautiful pleasure.
A
And joy in our lives. So when you're ready and you've come back and you're in a beautifully quiet.
B
Place, I would really love for you to lie down for this one because this is how I receive this. Lying in my bed in the early morning in a really, really peaceful and calm state. And that's what I wish for you be in a really receptive mode to receive this guidance.
A
So when you're lying down, take some deep breath in through your nose, inhaling and exhaling and just really allow your eyes to soften. Let your gaze soften behind your eyebrows into the middle of your forehead and just really relax with every inhale and exhale that you're going to take, breathing normally deeply if you really need to, in order to relax, let your belly soften. Just really allow yourself to sink down into that bed or the floor or wherever you're lying, even if you're on the grass. That would be a lovely place to do it. And I would love for you to gently place your hands on your. On your belly, on that womb space on your navel and really allow yourself to connect with yourself. Sacral, your intuition, your gut, your inner knowing and just take some lovely deep breaths here and feel your belly rise and fall as you take those deep breaths in and out, ebbs and flows, thinking deeper and deeper into the floor, the ground, your bed, your chair, allowing yourself to move into a really, really relaxed state with every breath that you take. Clear your mind and bring yourself into your presence. Your presence. Everything that needs to get done will get done. Everything that you need to remember will be remembered at this moment in time. The only thing you need to focus on is you and your breathing and your breath and your belly. Everything fall away. Going to paint a picture for you now. And just know that if you can't see it, don't worry, sense it, know it, listen, hear, imagine. But don't feel any pressure. And don't worry if you can't. Just listen to the sounds of my words and know that you will take what you need to take and everything you need about to hear. As you're lying here, start to imagine that you are sat in the most beautiful forest. You can smell the pine needles and the pine cones and you're sat on a lovely old log. It's rough, it's been there for years, and the ground beneath you is dry. And in front of you there's a fire pit. This is absolutely representative of what you're feeling with your sacral right now. And if you're feeling that your sacral is spinning and is on fire, then I would love for you just to use these next few moments to continue to breathe and to slow down the sacral gently with every breath, bring Your sacral that is spinning out of control into some element of control by using your breath. Step away from the fire. Let it slow down by using your breath. However, if you are the other way and you are feeling exhausted and burnt out and that your fire is not starting and hasn't been starting for a while, I would love for you to get a little bit closer to that fire pit. And I would like you to start to gently blow in the embers in the ashes that are in that fire pit. As you breathe in and out, just gently blow. Use the air within your lungs and start to see a few of the little sparks and the embers that are left in the ashes of the fire that was once there. Start to blow gently and see and create those sparks from the ashes. Because all ashes have a spark left within them and we can light that spark and become the phoenix. Keep breathing and notice the little sparks that are flying. Agree to calm or breathe to ignite the balance of the energies of the ins and the outs of your breath. This is the balance that we find. Breathe to calm or breathe to ignite. It is our breath that stabilizes us, that creates the equilibrium within our sacral, within our life force energy, within our vitality, so that we don't burn out, so that we don't burn others. And as you are breathing, start to notice the gentle crackle, the crackle of your fire, of your sacral that's starting to burn gently. And now going to start to add some fuel. We're going to add the firewood to our fires. And the foundations of a good fire up here in Yorkshire are little dry sticks. Gather some little dry sticks from around you and start to put them on your fire. And the little dry sticks are your happy memories. Imagine, round the campfire fire, you are now surrounded by beautiful people that you feel comfortable with and happy with. And start to talk about the happy memories that you have had, that you are so grateful for. The wonderful days that you have had. The memories, the connections, the fun, the laughter, the peace, the joy in your life that you have had. Tell these stories. Feel the warmth as you tell these stories, or feel these memories, share with each other. Put your hands to the fire and sigh. Sigh with gratitude, sigh with gratitude for all of the joyful stories that you have to share the joyful memories of that you have in your mind's eye and bring those to your sacral fire. This is gratitude. Gratitude brings us joy for what we have. We are so grateful. And it's the knowing that we have had enough and that we do have joy that can bring us that beautiful warm energy deep within us. And as that fire begins to grow a little bit more, you can start to add some bigger logs to your fire. To grow your fire. It is safe for you to do so. It is safe for you to add the fuel to your fire. You are in control. Trust yourself. And the stories that we tell as we add the bigger log are the big dreams, the big dreams and the little dreams, the desires, the hopes, the wishes. It's using your imagination. Tell the story of your future. Fuel the fire with possibility and with excitement. Imagine them now. All of the beautiful dreams are going to come true. Sit with those just for a moment. Declare them. Share them with everybody around you. Speak them out loud. Use your sacral chakra. Speak about your dreams and your hopes and your desires that are found deep within your G centre that you can feel in your heart. And when your fire is at that beautiful point of lovely warmth and crackling away with beautiful momentum, it's time to hang a pan of water above your fire. The water is representative of what you want to create. What is the recipe for your life? What are the ingredients that you want to put in to cook? What do you desire to change the state of in your life? Do you want to soften the potatoes or harden the eggs? When it comes to your health, what do you want to put in there that you wish to change? Your mental, your physical, your emotional, your spiritual state? What are you putting in? Are you putting in food, movement, meditation, medication? What do you want to change? If it's your work again, what are the ingredients? The people, the places, the projects, the lifestyle, the support? Add them into your pot. Or is it relationships, your community, your home, your partner, intimacy, children, family, friends? What are you putting into your pot? And allow the fire to burn and the water to boil. And can you trust? Continue to stoke the fires, add the logs, add the sticks and witness a transformation deep within you. Your job is to keep the fire glowing, to tend to your fire. Continue with your gratitudes for everything that is and everything that was. Remember them daily. Practice daily gratitude. Speak them out loud, write them in a journal, bring them to your mind's eye and smile and bring joy to your sacral. Add the logs when you need a little bit more fuel, a little bit more heat. These are your dreams. These are your dreams without attachment. These are just dreams to play and wonder. What if? Wouldn't it be magical if top up your water and add the ingredients, that is what you do. But it's the trust of your sacral. Trusting in the process, trusting that you will know the time, trusting you will.
B
Know when enough is enough.
A
Trusting when you need a little bit more. This is feminine energy of your sacral. It is the feminine flow. It is the giving and the receiving without putting any equal measure, without attachment of the giving to the receiving or the receiving to the giving. This is just giving. When you need to give and receive. When you need to receive is when.
B
You know to put on another log.
A
On the fire and when you know just to be in the receiving energy of the warmth of the flames of your sacral. This is the warmth within you. The sacral fires we keep glowing safely, beautifully. This is the imagery that my soul felt called to show me this morning and I share with you and the words soften, soften with your feminine trust and knowing of your sacral. Trust in your sacral. It will know. It will know the time, it will know when and it will know the how. Strengthen your faith in the process. Trust in yourself that you will keep those fires going. Trust in yourself. Trust in the process. Strengthen that faith. Strengthen that trust. And then surrender to the magic. Surrender to the magic of not needing to know how the egg hardens and the potato softens. Surrender to the magic of how your life is going to change when you do this just with trust. And as your sacral fires are burning in this beautiful energy, there are some mantras that you can repeat to yourself, but trust that you will also know your own I'm grateful for the joy of being me. I'm grateful for the joy of my life. I'm grateful for the pleasures in my life. Joy is within me and joy is within my power to create. Create. I am a powerful creator. I am my own alchemist. I'm a deserve. I am deserving of receiving love and I'm deserving of giving love and the joy that both bring. All my relationships bring me joy. My work brings me joy. My body brings me joy. My health brings me joy. I am radiant, I am beautiful, I am powerful, I am attractive, I am vibrant and I am enjoying a healthy, passionate life. SA.
