Welcome back to the Joy Broadcast podcast and our Energy Quest series. Today I am sharing with you quite possibly my favourite chakra to work with. Have I said that already? I think I might have done. Especially about the throat. The throat and the sacral are my two favourites, and I'll say that, and I'll probably say others are my favorites as well. They're all my favorites. It's like having lots of little children and how do you choose? But the sacral was one that I had to do a significant amount of work on. When I did my chakra healing course way back in 2018, I was still in the midst and the throes of working through some deep, deep hurt in my marriage, in my relationship, from betrayal, from infidelity, through friendships, again through betrayal and hurt and judgments. And the sacral I understood through that healing was incredibly powerful, to heal my sacral, where I had felt that I had the potential to block everything off, to block off my life through my sacral. So this really opened up such a beautiful, empowered state of knowing that I could be able to heal and love and find joy again in my life through my sacral. So maybe that is why I love it so much, because of its deep connection to joy and to pleasure and to all of the wonderful things in life and to having this vibrant energy and this feeling and sense of aliveness. This is that comes from working with your sacral. And whether you're in, whether you know your human design and whether you know you're defined or undefined, you still have the capacity to experience incredible joy in your life by working with your sacral. So when we think about the location of the sacral in our body, it's around your, your navel area. It's like the belly button. It's for women. It's the womb area of your, of your physical body. And its purpose in terms of the energetic expression is all to do with your gut instincts. And I think we're all born with these, but often we're conditioned out of having them because we're meant to use our logical brain. And this is a huge permission slip for you to really tap back into those gut instincts and use your gut instincts to lead your life and then back it up with your mind, with logic, rather than the other way around. This is when I felt that my head and my heart were often in conflict. Actually what it was, it was my mind and my ajna, my third eye and my, my sacral in massive conflict with each other because I was trying to make logical sense of the situation rather than following my gut instincts and using that to lead me. When I was able to do that, it was so much easier to bring harmony between the two. Following my gut instincts, my life energy, my joy, my pleasure, and then using my incredible brain, that wonderful computer, to create the logic and the strategy and the path, rather than the other way around. Rather than creating and leading from logic and then trying to drag my sacral with me, much easier to do it this way around. So gut instincts, it's the, the energy center of vitality, that life force energy. You can tell people who have it because they are just so lit up from within, they can be so happy on their own. It's about being on one of your own dates with yourself and just having the most magical, wonderful time. And yet I'm one of those weirdos who's able to do that. I've even labeled myself as a weirdo when I'm really, really not. It's about saying that you have this. It's the recognition that you have this zest for life. When we talk about vitality, what do I mean? It's that. It's. It's the zest for life. It's that get up and go. It's that real, real joyful energy. It is the pure joy center. So I've written down in my notes here today. It is the pure joy center. It's the center of pleasure and love and sexuality and desire and all of the power that can really light up your life and create that movement in your life to where you want to go. It is connected to your G center. So it's connected to lots of other center, but this motor center is the one that's going to really drive you and move you forward. So in terms of the body, how is it related? It relates to your fertility organs for both men and women. So the ovaries, the womb, the testes, all of those things. It's all about fertility and reproduction. And I don't mean that just in the sense of procreation, but it can also mean in terms of creativity for your life, projects, business, whatever you have going on in your life. It's that birthplace of creativity, whether that's life to a human being or life to a lifelong project. It's creation, yes, for babies, but also it creates the fuel that is going to give you the energy to have that vitality to create the life experience that you wish. I also believe that the sacral is really this goddess energy center. And I don't mean that that's just purely for women. I mean that that is a goddess energy for both men and women. It is a real feminine energy center. It's the energy of flow. It is the energy of movement, of being. It's like water. And actually, I suppose the traditional element for this, this energy center, is the element of water, representing the feminine flow, the ebbs and the flows of life, the ins and the outs, the ups and the downs, and our ability to go with the flow in life rather than trying to force, control or pressurize. The flower that's often related to this center is the lotus flower because it's rooted deeply in mud, in watery mud, and yet the lotus flower opens up and is always clean. I think that's interesting, isn't it? The lotus flower that procreates underneath the surface in the darkness and comes up mu.
