Hi, friends. We talk a lot around here about being a genius about what matters and lazy about what doesn't. And most days, that looks like pretty ordinary things. What's for dinner, how we're spending our time, what we're saying yes and no to. But every once in a while, what matters isn't a task at all. It's a question that won't leave you alone. What am I doing with my life? Is this still working for me? Is it time for something to change? Those kinds of questions can feel a little disorienting. There's not really a system for them. They just ask you to pay attention and maybe be a little braver than you feel. In seasons like that, I'm always grateful for voices that feel steady. Steady and honest. So I wanted to share a podcast you might want to add to your rotation. It's called Becoming you, hosted by Susie Welch. She's a three time New York Times Best selling author and teaches at nyu. And she spent a long time studying how we make decisions and how we figure out what really matters. But what I like is how she talks about those things in a way that feels human. If you're in the middle of a question that you can't quite answer yet, this might be a helpful voice to sit with you for a bit. You can find Becoming you with Susie Welch wherever you listen to podcasts. And we've got a little more from Susie for you right here.

Are you the author of your life or the editor? It is the human condition for so many of us to end up in a life that we are not the authors of that our parents or our teachers or our bosses or our culture have written the story for us and we are fitting ourselves into it. It does not have to be that way.

Everyone said you're gonna be an entrepreneur. I was like, I don't have to be an entrepreneur.
