We're two sisters who love a captivating true story, but we're also seeking more light in our lives.
Emily Jones
So we're on a mission to find and share unforgettable, uplifting stories of God's miracles. We hope you'll join us on this journey.
Holly Worthington
Welcome back to the Miracle Files. Boy, do we have a story for you today.
Emily Jones
We really do. So I actually came across this story a while back, and I just remember being completely stunned when I saw this horrifying image online of this woman hanging upside down from a power line. And my first thought was, like, this cannot be real. And I figured, she's alive, talking. This must be a miracle. So I sent it to you, but I didn't even know, like, the magnitude of the miracles.
Holly Worthington
Yeah, well. And unfortunately, it kind of went in one ear and out the other for me, and I forgot about it.
Emily Jones
Shocking.
Holly Worthington
But then my daughter Kendra said, hey, have you heard of Kick it Kenny on Instagram? Like, she's amazing, and her story is amazing. And then I realized it was the same girl that you had talked to me about.
Kennedy Bingham
Yeah.
Emily Jones
And. And you listened to Kendra and not to me. That's okay.
Holly Worthington
Very persistent little daughter of mine. So she mentioned it a couple times.
Emily Jones
That's true.
Kennedy Bingham
That's true.
Holly Worthington
But we seriously, we hear about so many stories. We. We get sent so many stories that sometimes it's hard to know which ones to focus on first. Yeah. But this is what I'm so glad we connected with Kennedy on, because it is incredible.
Emily Jones
It's so good. But we will give you a fair warning. This one is a little bit graphic, terrifying, disturbing, but it really is. Hang in there, because it's also one of the most inspiring stories.
Holly Worthington
Oh, my gosh.
Emergency Dispatcher
Yeah.
Holly Worthington
It is so worth it.
Emily Jones
Yeah.
Holly Worthington
All right, let's go.
Emily Jones
Let's do it. Kennedy had grown up in Declo, Idaho, the kind of small town with no stoplights and only a couple of gas stations where people know each other's names and even the trucks they drive. A place where usually Nothing too exciting happens. But one Saturday in May of 2021, that all changed for Kennedy Bingham. It had started out that morning with Kennedy's mom heading out of town to help Kennedy's grandma with yard work. Kennedy's dad, who'd been going through radiation for non Hodgkin's lymphoma, was at home recovering after leaving. Kennedy's mom called with a strong, unsettling feeling that she just couldn't explain. She considered turning around and making Kennedy come with her, but Kennedy assured her she was fine, so her mom kept driving. Her mom did, however, have one request. She asked Kennedy to stay home after work and take care of her dad. Kennedy agreed at the time. But as the afternoon turned into evening, Kennedy changed her mind. She hated sitting around. It gave her too much time to think. You see, Kennedy was young and pretty and from the outside seemed happy enough. But on the inside, she felt an overwhelming sense of emptiness. In fact, sometimes she wondered if that emptiness would swallow her whole.
Kennedy Bingham
I was so unhappy with the way my life was going. I had an eating disorder where I was just barely over £100. I would go all day, every day off of gum and energy drinks, and I was in soccer and lifting weights for a weights class. And so, like, obviously a lot of physical activity, and I was just struggling really bad. And so that obviously carried over with my relationship with my parents because I wasn't doing okay.
Emily Jones
That evening, two of Kennedy's friends showed up at her house and asked her to go into town for soda and snacks. It wasn't that Kennedy forgot about what she'd promised her mom. She just decided to go out anyway. She felt a little bad, but it seemed harmless and she could check on her father later.
Kennedy Bingham
I was like, okay, whatever, it's fine. Like, my dad will be fine. We're only going in town really quick and then we can come back and check on him.
Emily Jones
She told her father goodbye and then offered to drive. Soon, she and her friends piled into Kennedy's car. They grabbed food and drinks and drove up to the big white D painted on the mountain overlooking Declo to watch the sunset. It was beautiful, peaceful, normal. For a moment, Kennedy was able to release the angst inside.
Kennedy Bingham
And so we went up there and we're watching the sunset, and my friend in the back, his mom had called and said that he needed to come home. And we were all like, oh my gosh, what? It's nine o' clock on a Saturday night. That's not typical for her. We're like, okay, whatever. And so we started the drive, and the roads where I'm from are very narrow, and there's no lines on them, and they just kind of. They're just old country roads, and so they just kind of drop off.
Emily Jones
As she drove, Kennedy's thoughts drifted to some of the struggles she'd been going through. Lately. Dirt and mud from farming vehicles had caked on the asphalt, making it difficult to see where the edges of the roads were. Soon, Kennedy's vision was also blurred by tears. She didn't want to cry, but sometimes it just hit Kennedy out of nowhere. With her emotions taking over, her car began to drift, inching toward the left side of the road. All of a sudden, she realized how close she was to the edge. She cranked the wheel hard to recover, but her correct became too sharp, too late. The car turned violently to the right and plummeted over the embankment. The driver's side of the vehicle ricocheted
Kennedy Bingham
off a power pole, and it flipped us sideways, and we started flipping and rolling, and we just caught more momentum. And every time the car would flip, it would only hit the ground on my side of the vehicle. So obviously that's my left side, and so my entire left side was destroyed.
Emily Jones
At this point, none of the teens inside the car were wearing seat belts. And suddenly, Kennedy was no longer in the vehicle at all. She was thrown from the car. She doesn't remember the moment of ejection, but she knows she was thrust so high into the air above that what happened next is burned into the story of her life forever. Kennedy's body hurtled straight into the power lines, striking both the live top wire and the grounded wire below, instantly forming a direct connection between the two. A powerful electrical surge tore through her. As her unconscious body fell, she was caught by the lower wire.
Kennedy Bingham
I got thrown out and in between the two power poles. I was then hanging in the power line by my broken leg.
Emily Jones
You heard that correctly. Kennedy dangled high above the ground, held only by a small strip of skin draped over the wire between the halves of her broken thigh bone.
Kennedy Bingham
But it just caught right between that break. And it was only hanging on the power line by the skin. Like that, is it?
Emily Jones
Kennedy dangled from the wire like a rag doll below her. Her two friends had been thrown into the field, shocked, injured, but alive. One of them crying, Kennedy slowly opened her eyes. And this is when Kennedy's memory begins to form rough pictures in her head. She remembers realizing she was hanging upside down high above the ground. A feeling indescribable. She couldn't see her friends, she was facing the opposite direction and unable to move.
Kennedy Bingham
My first memory up there, I remember I knew I was high in the air, upside down. It was dark, and I was uncomfortable, not necessarily in pain. I was bleeding, obviously, from my wounds, and so I could feel it running down. And I was. It was getting in my mouth, and so I was trying to, like, get it out of my mouth and out of my nose. And because I am upside down, so obviously when liquid, it. It's hard to breathe. And so I'm trying to make sure it's out of my nose and out of my eyes so I can see. And I was obviously scared, and I started to cry. And at this point, I felt like crying was weak. And so I knew if I cried that I was going to die. And it sounds so extreme, but I'm. That's genuinely what I believed. And so I pulled it together and started calling for help.
Emily Jones
Kennedy didn't know it at first, but her car had crashed close to a farmhouse where a father and daughter were sitting at home.
Kennedy Bingham
Their power from when I got electrocuted flickered, and they were like, oh, that's so weird. And it basically blew the power out. And they heard yelling, and they were like, what the heck? And so they came running out, and they saw the two on the ground, and they got them help.
Emily Jones
But then the father and daughter heard yelling from above, and they looked up, and there she was, a girl dangling from the wire like an old pair of tennis shoes tossed onto the line. She was bleeding and in terrible condition. She didn't even look real. The horror of it all hit the father and daughter immediately, and they called 911.
Emergency Dispatcher
We've got to have ambulances and police out here right away.
Kennedy Bingham
What's going on?
Emergency Dispatcher
A car wreck. A girl is hanging by her leg from the telephone pole wire. There's multiple people hurt.
Kennedy Bingham
All right, stay on the phone with me.
Emily Jones
I'm gonna get the ambulance and everything heading that direction. I'm gonna get more information from you.
Emergency Dispatcher
We're gonna need several ambulance.
Holly Worthington
How many people?
Emergency Dispatcher
3. You really need to hurry. There is a girl hanging by her broken leg from the telephone wire. The ambulance is coming.
Kennedy Bingham
How many vehicles?
Emergency Dispatcher
One.
Kennedy Bingham
One vehicle?
Emergency Dispatcher
Yes. The vehicle and the people are in bad shape.
Kennedy Bingham
Okay, are all the people inside the vehicle?
Emergency Dispatcher
No, There's a girl hanging from telephone wire from her leg that's about tore off.
Holly Worthington
Okay.
Emergency Dispatcher
They're all thrown out. We're gonna need a bucket truck out here to get this girl off the power line. Do you realize that we've Contacted the power company. There's three people. They're all in really bad shape.
Kennedy Bingham
And are they all conscious and breathing? Can you tell?
Emergency Dispatcher
Yes. Hold on, sis. We got help coming. We have someone hanging from a wire approximately 18 to 20ft above the ground. We need a bump to truck.
Emily Jones
Time seemed to come to a halt as the father and daughter waited for the ambulance to arrive.
Kennedy Bingham
And they were like, we have no idea what to do. And so the daughter just dropped her knees and started praying and was like, I feel like this is all we can do for her.
Emily Jones
The father, who hadn't prayed in years, looked at his daughter and fell to his knees as well. The two pleaded with God to help this poor young woman.
Kennedy Bingham
And after they finished their prayer, they just went and ran and grabbed a tarp to put underneath me in case that little bit of skin that was holding me up was gonna rip. And so they just sat with a tarp underneath me. And I don't remember talking to them, really. They just said, I kept calling them ma' am and sir, which is not like me at all. I don't know, it must have been the shock. But they were like, she was so polite. She was just like, will you please get me down? Like, just want to get down and can you help me? And they were just like, this is, like the most low key, a really creepy thing because it's like she's completely ripped apart up there hanging in a wire, and she's just, like, talking to us casually.
Emily Jones
Police cars and ambulances soon arrived, but no one could get Kennedy down. The power company first had to make sure the power was truly off. Kennedy felt so confused. For the next half hour, Whenever Kennedy would come to, she felt desperate to get off the wire. She didn't understand why no one was helping her. And then her confusion turned to embarrassment as town people started to show up.
Kennedy Bingham
Obviously, in a small town, everyone sees flashing lights. And that's one of my biggest problems that I still struggle with is just, like, the curiosity. And so people literally just started driving to the scene and getting out of their cars and watching me. It was like I felt like a zoo animal just caged up, that people were taking videos, pictures, and, like, even kids from my high school, that house that was probably a mile away, they all were doing a party there or something, and they all just walked over and just, like, watched me. And I hate that because it's just like, it's so disgusting. And to this day, it really bothers me when people are like, oh, my gosh, what's happening at that scene because it's like, that's none of your business. Like, that's someone's worst moment. Leave them alone.

She couldn't bear one more millisecond of this torture. Suddenly, she had a vision come to her mind. It felt so real. A FaceTime call from God. Even though her phone was nowhere near her, in her mind, she could see him clearly. He even had a profile picture on the imagined screen, one that she recognized immediately.
Kennedy Bingham
The picture is Jesus reaching his hand into the water. And I love that picture. It's my favorite picture. And that's what his profile picture was. There was an end and accept button. And at this point, I think I'd been up there for 30 minutes, so for a while, and probably going in and out of it a little bit. And I remember I just was like, I'm so uncomfortable. I don't know what the rest of my life's gonna look like from this. I have no idea what my injuries are. Nothing. Nothing. And so I was like, I just want to go home.
Emily Jones
But by home, Kennedy didn't mean her house. She had reached a point where she meant that she wanted to go to heaven. She was ready. She wanted God to take her home. She was accepting her death.
Kennedy Bingham
And so I'm, like, slamming the accept button. Obviously, my phone's in the field somewhere. It's not actually up there with me. And the phone just keeps ringing. It's not recognizing that I want to go home. And the screen eventually just goes black.
Emily Jones
Suddenly, Kennedy could see herself in the reflection on the imagined phone. What she saw horrified her, but she knew she was alive and that she wasn't meant to go home yet.
Kennedy Bingham
And I can see my reflection, and I'm cut and bruised and bloody. And I just started to cry because I was like, oh, like, this is what I'm supposed to do, but it's not what I want to do.
Emily Jones
Kennedy's family still wasn't aware of what was going on with her. The police had not yet notified them. But Kennedy's grandfather sensed something was wrong.
Kennedy Bingham
My grandpa was on our life360. All of us kids hated it because he was a stalker and would watch where all of us were going. And it drove me nuts because I was like, leave me alone. You're not my parent. Like, stop tracking me. And so we all hated it. But actually, since he's a stalker, saw that my location, said I was in a field for, like, probably 45 minutes. So he's like, I don't know why it says she's in a field for 45 minutes. I see lights down the road. I'm worried something's wrong. And so he called my dad and told him all this. And my dad's like, oh, well, she always answers her phone. That will be what tells me if it's her. And so he calls me. Obviously, I don't answer. And he was like, oh, my gosh, it's her.
Emily Jones
After an excruciating hour had crawled by, the power company finally got the power turned off, so it was safe for the emergency workers to proceed. At last, a bucket truck arrived on scene.
Kennedy Bingham
The emt, he got in the bucket truck, and he came up, and I could feel, like, the anxiety off of him. Obviously, he's trying to stay very calm, But I remember feeling like he was super anxious and breathing shakily. And I was like, will you please help me? And he was like, yep, yep, we're working on it. Like, we're doing everything we can. And at this point, I was like, oh, like, finally, I've been up here for an hour. I'm tired of fighting, like, all on my own. So they put the tourniquet on and had to take my bone out of that wire. And they said that was the only time that I screamed that entire time I was up there was when they had to take my leg off the wire. And I remember my body hitting that stretcher and just feeling like, oh, like a sense of relief that I didn't have to fight anymore. It wasn't my job to do it because I'd already done it by myself for so long.
Emily Jones
As Kennedy was loaded into an ambulance, her terrified father arrived on scene.
Kennedy Bingham
It's literally a mile from my house. That's it. And he drives down and parks a car super quick, runs out to the field where he sees the car, because to him, he doesn't know where I'm at, anything like that. And luckily, someone that we knew from the community was like, jared, she's over here. And at this point, I was in the ambulance, and he just dropped down to his knees and just was praying and was like, please, please, please, whatever you do, don't take her.
Emily Jones
The EMTs allowed Kennedy's father to get into the parked ambulance, where he put his hands on Kennedy's head and pleaded with God.
Kennedy Bingham
And he was like, I have no idea what I said other than just like, I don't care how much is left of her. Like, I'm willing for anything, Just like, I need her to stay. And so he gave me a kiss on my forehead and said his goodbyes, and he got in the truck with my grandpa.
Emily Jones
As Kennedy was rushed to a nearby hospital, her father drove as quickly as he could to be by her side.
Kennedy Bingham
He was like, the entire ride, which is, like, such a, like, gross thing, but at the same time, like, it just shows the reality of it. He was like, because I kissed you on your forehead, I literally just tasted your blood the entire way.
Emily Jones
The local hospital wasn't equipped to handle injuries of this magnitude, so she was flown to a bigger hospital, where her parents were finally able to join her. They were grateful to see their daughter alive, but were stunned by her condition. Even the doctors seemed shocked by Kennedy's injuries.
Kennedy Bingham
They were like, we don't see wounds like this unless, like, people are coming back from war. Like, this is so advanced.
Emily Jones
As the doctors examined Kennedy's body, they discovered that she had not only severed a major artery in her arm, but her femoral artery as well. They couldn't imagine how she was still alive. Only as doctors and police pieced together what had happened did they begin to grasp the true miracle of Kennedy's survival. When Kennedy was thrown from her vehicle, she was launched so high that the fall alone should have been fatal. Instead, the power line acted as a net, catching her and preventing a deadly impact with the ground. In the violence of the crash, her arm was nearly ripped off, severing the brachial artery, an injury that would normally cause rapid, severe blood loss. But touching both wires didn't just electrocute her. It saved her life.
Kennedy Bingham
When I touched both of them, it basically electrocuted me in, like, my chest and neck area, and it cauterized my main artery in my arm because my arm was actually hanging off and only hanging on by the skin on my back. And so there was hardly anything keeping it on. And I was bleeding, and, yeah, I just electrocuted it. Cauterized it, stopped the bleeding.
Emily Jones
Even more astonishing, Kennedy's femoral artery in her thigh had also been torn open, an injury that typically leads to death within minutes. Yet the very power line that caught her acted as a tourniquet, pinching off the artery and preventing her from bleeding out through her thigh. By every medical Expectation she should not have survived. And yet she did. But as remarkable as as her survival was, her prognosis still looked grim. Over the next weeks, Kennedy underwent multiple surgeries. Her leg was amputated piece by piece as doctors tried to save as much tissue as possible.
Kennedy Bingham
They tried to amputate my leg through the knee on my left leg and see if it would hold up. And every 12 to 24 hours, I believe they would go in and basically just, like, cut more off, and they would just literally put, like, Saran Wrap around it. And so it was like my dad was like. It was like a ham. They'd just go in and just slice more off. He had to actually sign all the documents for them to cut my leg off. So he's like, every day, I'm literally signing body parts away.
Emily Jones
All the while, Kennedy was in and out of consciousness and didn't realize she was losing her leg. Bit by bit, Kennedy's dad swallowed his doubts and tears. And with faith, he assured her she would still be able to walk and run and play soccer. They would find a way. But then something began to unfold that not only put Kennedy's leg in danger, but her life. Kennedy's temperature started to rise. She began having fever dreams. One in particular stands out in her mind.
Kennedy Bingham
I'm having this dream where I'm this little person on a beach, and I'm, like, running around doing all these tasks, and I start levitating up this cliff, and I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. Like, I'm not done. I have so much to do. It's not my time. And at the top of the cliff was God. And I was like, please don't take me. Like, I'm not done.
Emily Jones
Just then, the nurses came into the room and realized that Kennedy's temperature had spiked. They tried to put ice on her and gave her medicine to get her fever down, but nothing was working. Another surgery was the only option.
Kennedy Bingham
And they took me into emergency surgery, and the entire leg was just dead up into the bone. And so that tissue was just making me so sick. And so they went in and cut the rest of the leg off to where my brake was. And that was. My dad says it was the darkest day of his life. He just remembers sitting in the stairwell for hours, just, like, crying. And my dad is not a crier.
Emily Jones
Now Kennedy's dad was tasked with something else that made his hands shake and his knees weak. Even more so. It made his heart ache. He had to be the one to tell his daughter that the surgeons had Taken almost all of her leg.
Kennedy Bingham
He'd been sitting next to my bed saying, you're gonna play soccer again. You're gonna be able to run again. You're gonna be able to do all these things again, so don't worry. So after they took the leg, he'd come in and was like, I have to talk to you about something. And I was like, okay. And he was like, they did have to cut your leg off. And so you have one leg now. And I'd known something was wrong. And at this point in my head, I'm like, I don't know if you're really telling the truth. Like, I can feel it, and it hurts really bad. So, like, I don't believe my leg's gone. But my first thing I said was, was I the only one that lost any limbs? And he was like, yes. And I said, well, I'm glad I'm the one that had to, because it was my fault.
Emily Jones
Knowing her leg was gone and that her future now looked like nothing she'd ever planned, the darkness of this moment threatened to overwhelm Kennedy's already fragile mental and emotional state. In fact, this could have been the very thing that would destroy Kennedy forever. But God had other plans. Within 24 hours after having the last of her leg removed, a physical therapist came into Kennedy's room.
Kennedy Bingham
And physical therapy came in and was like, okay, we're gonna do 10 squats today. And my parents were like, are you kidding me? Like, she literally just got a surgery. What do you mean we're gonna do 10 squats? Like, no, she's not. And I was like, oh, it's fine. Like, we can do it, Whatever. And so they set me up to a 90 degree. And every time they would do that, I would be like, please make sure my gown is just covered everything. Like, I don't want to know what's going on, and I don't want to look at it. Nothing. And so we did the 10 squats, and I was like, oh, don't worry. Like, I can do another one because, like, I can push myself.
Emily Jones
And then Kennedy looked down, and for the first time, she saw where her gown ended and that she didn't have a leg there at all. The tears flooded from her eyes.
Kennedy Bingham
I just started crying. And I remember looking at both my parents, and I was like, you didn't tell me this is all I had left. What am I supposed to do with this? This is. Is nothing. This is useless. I can't believe this is my life. And I started crying, and my Parents are just looking at me like, we're so sorry. Like, I. I don't know what to do. And I pull it together a few. Few minutes later, and the nurse is like, I think you should touch it. And I was like, you're freaking crazy. I'm not touching that thing. Like, it's attached to me, but I want nothing to do with it. And she's like, okay, just you do you. And obviously, it was still, like, covered in dressings, so I can't see the skin or anything like that, but then I end up touching it. And I was like, okay, yeah, that's. That's super weird. I. I don't like it. They were having me move my nub in circles and for some reason, processed so fast. And I started joking, and I was. I've always had this thing where I name everything, and so I named my nub Goby. And it is a boy. For some reason, I'm not sure why, but even kids refer to it as him. And it's so funny, because people are like, why is it a boy? And I'm like, I don't know. But even kids think it is, so it works. And I started moving around and saying, go, Goby, Go, Goby. We're just laughing, and I'm just singing it, and you can hear, like, the weakness of my voice. And that helped me a lot, being able to, like, cope with it and I think, accept that it was part of me and who I was. And, like, even to this day, I referred to it as Gobi. And the nurses were like, we've never seen someone that just, like, so fastly gets over this. And I truly believe that it was God.
Emily Jones
Only through the grace of God did the girl who once wanted to die now want to live and live like never before. In addition to her leg, her arm was permanently changed. Three nerves torn from her spine, two destroyed. But she fought for every inch of movement. Rewired muscles trained her mind to believe what her body still could become.
Kennedy Bingham
And I truly believe that it was God that kind of gave me that kick in the butt of, like, here's a good attitude. Like, I will give this to you, but I'm not gonna sit here and give it to you for the rest of your life. You have to uphold that. But I felt like he gave me those stepping stones of a good attitude and happiness that, like, it just made me flourish, and I never gave it up.
Emily Jones
Today, Kennedy's darkest moments have become a light in her life. She's now happily married and loves lifting weights. With her husband. She competes, she trains, she inspires, and she knows why she's here.
Kennedy Bingham
I experienced a miracle. There was thousands. I believe truly, throughout the entire experience. I think miracles happen to remind others that he is there and that miracles are absolutely higher power.
Emily Jones
That night on a country road in Idaho, everything that should have killed Kennedy instead held her and saved her. The electricity that should have stopped her heart sealed the artery in her arm. The wire that trapped her upside down acted as a tourniquet for her leg. The fall that should have ended her life was stopped by a power line and a delicate strip of skin that somehow held strong. No. Kennedy hadn't just hung from a power line. She'd hung between earth and heaven. And for reasons only God knows when, she could have slipped from this world forever. The call didn't go through. She was meant to stay. Stay and change and truly live.
Holly Worthington
Wow. So much to talk about here. First off, we have to talk about the miracle that Kennedy experienced. Like, just the way she landed.
Kennedy Bingham
I know.
Holly Worthington
On those wires.
Emily Jones
I know. When she was talking to us and, like, she first told us, like, that she got flung into these wires and she got electrocuted. At first, I just thought that's, like adding insult to injury.
Holly Worthington
Yeah.
Emily Jones
And the more she told us, that's actually what saved her life. It's incredible.
Holly Worthington
Yeah. I could not believe that the top power line electrocuted her and cauterized her brachial artery, and then the bottom line caught her and acted like a tourniquet for her femoral artery and her broken femur. I know. It's just incredible. Yeah.
Emily Jones
I actually did a little research, and I found that if you tear your brachial artery, then you can usually bleed out in, like, five to 10 minutes. If you tear your femoral artery, usually it's like two to five minutes. And she severed both in the accident. So, like, if she hadn't have been in the wire, she would have bled out within just a few minutes.
Kennedy Bingham
It's.
Emily Jones
It's just crazy.
Holly Worthington
Yeah. It really is. Like, without divine intervention, there is no way that Kennedy should have survived. No. And her story touched so many lives. And there's someone in particular that really was affected by her story. The father who lived in the farmhouse, who lived near the power lines where she was hanging.
Kennedy Bingham
Yeah.
Holly Worthington
The one who prayed with his daughter. He had completely forgotten about God, didn't care about God, and this experience made him believe in God again. So here's a sound bite from Kennedy about that.
Kennedy Bingham
And the dad eventually came to my dad and had this whole conversation and said, I haven't talked to God in over 20 years. I had no interest and no interest in knowing about him or, like, believing in him. Nothing. And he's like, and your daughter, like, I immediately dropped my knees with my daughter and started praying for yours. And I knew that was all we could do for her. And he was like, your daughter is the reason why I've even thought about coming back to God.
Holly Worthington
I love that. That right there is the power of miracles.
Kennedy Bingham
Right.
Holly Worthington
And obviously you have to stay close to God. Like, one miracle can't just sustain you forever, but sure, kick things off and yeah, really strengthen your faith. So I. I thought that was incredible.
Emily Jones
Yeah. Remind you that God is real and Kennedy is still using this miracle to share her faith with people. She also shared something with us about the firefighter and what he said to her. So here's Kennedy, and I actually did
Kennedy Bingham
a public speaking event with him and he was like, immediately, as soon as I was in your reach, you just like, latched on him and you were like, thank you for helping me. I need help. And I'm tired of fighting, like, all on my own.
Emily Jones
Can you imagine that moment?
Holly Worthington
No. Like, how do you feel hanging there and knowing you've got to be the one to help this girl down somehow? And I know, I'm sure his adrenaline just carried him through, but so many crazy, miraculous moments throughout this whole thing. And one other thing we need to share. We've got a video of her in the hospital talking to Goby.
Emily Jones
Her.
Holly Worthington
Her little nub that she made.
Emily Jones
Her nub. Yes.
Holly Worthington
We've got to share that. Like, she is so amazing. I love her attitude. Good.
Emergency Dispatcher
Now,
Emily Jones
Kennedy is so inspirational to me. Like, if you follow her Instagram account, underscore, kick it, Kenny. Underscore 9. It is amazing to see her attitude and the things that she's able to accomplish. Her and her husband are so cute.
Holly Worthington
They're so adorable.
Emily Jones
They work out together all the time. I mean, she just did this high rocks fitness competition where you have to run 8km. There's like eight fitness challenges.
Holly Worthington
I know.
Emily Jones
It's inspirational how much she's able to accomplish. And her attitude. Yeah.
Holly Worthington
I think one of the most incredible parts of this miracle story is how it changed her. And just seeing how she's let God work on her heart and soften her heart, it's really a beautiful thing.
Emily Jones
Yeah. It's so interesting. So often we hear people who go through these traumatic life changing events. Very few of them say they would go back and undo it.
Holly Worthington
It's true.
Emily Jones
She is so happy now. And in fact, she shared with us how this actually has really improved her relationship with her parents.
Kennedy Bingham
Me and my parents relationship's great. Now we're best friends and we just have fun. And I was just so grateful that they were so loving and supportive through my entire experience and have been there and pushed me and got me involved in things. And so I think the accident actually brought our family so much closer than it was even before.
Holly Worthington
I love that as a mom, I especially appreciate that.
Emily Jones
I do, too.
Holly Worthington
It's really sweet. Well, thank you so much, Kennedy, for sharing your story with us. It's incredible. And we wish you and your husband and your whole family so much love and happiness.
Emily Jones
And your stalker grandpa.
Holly Worthington
Yes. Good job, stalker grandfather. You were awesome, too.
Emily Jones
You did it. Came in handy.
Holly Worthington
