In 1970, Ian was staying on Lismore Island near Oban in the Western Highlands of Scotland with two friends, when orbs passed through a window and entered the room. Humanoid beings inside the orbs seemed to begin engaging with them and his life was changed ever after.

Ian describes his life as a Sufi and his recent find of a fairy ring near his home in County Cork, Ireland.
