Okay? I do interior design and remodel lots of homes, and that's what I do. And I'm also a mother now of two.

My daughter, who's four, is Bijou. My son, who's two, is Nicholas Jr. We call him Nico or Baby Nick.

Right. Like, we, like, can think about the past all day long. I've been thinking about the past for 50 years.

I feel like I've, like, done it, been doing it a lot less. But I can, like, get into that mode very easily.

And get stuck.

Well, I think we're getting into, like, a real phase of adulthood where, like, we're really busy and also really fortunate because, like, life's so great, right? Like, we can, like, buy what we want, do what we want, go where we want. There's always a boat involved, which is important. Do you know what I mean? So we're really doing the rich kids thing in, like, adult life. In life.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

In real life.

[Morgan Stewart]

Okay. We met in 2006. Roxxxy was friends with my friend Kourtney, and Roxxxy went to usc, where my high school boyfriend was transferring to.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Yes.

[Morgan Stewart]

And we were in a longstanding, toxic relationship where, like, he definitely stopped liking me and I definitely still liked him. And I was like, you didn't let

[Roxy Sowlaty]

him not like you?

[Morgan Stewart]

Yeah. There was no option. There was no option. But then he did kind of like me, so it was okay. So Roxxxy moved into the dorm at USC with Kourtney and I, and my ex boyfriend at the time was living at us, and I would go there every week to potentially run into this

To watch the OC Basically, just to be on campus in case there was a text or a call.

Yeah. Or you can bump into him.

Or I could bump into him, walk by his dorm. And I, like, lived. I had to get on the freeway to go. It was like a whole trekking journey for me. So that is where our friendship began. And I think we were fast and furious friends. Would you say that?

Yeah. We immediately were calling me, talking about her mom and her dad fighting about the jam and the.

The jam. The knife going, oh, the butter in the jam.

Butter knife going in the jam. Butter in the jam jar. Your mom gets so annoyed. I always think about that in the morning.

She's just as crazy as I am and getting crazier. So what? Going back to that time. So also, we have to make an important Note. I am May 22nd and you are May 21st. Yes.

Our birthdays are a day and a year apart.

So we were fast and furious friends. Do you have a first memory of me besides the jam?

My first memory of you before I met you was when your ex boyfriend was driving me to my semi formal, and I was talking about something ridiculous. He's like, you're just like my crazy girlfriend Morgan. I was like, huh? Who's Morgan?

[Morgan Stewart]

He called me his girlfriend. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. My dreams came true. Wait, so why was he driving you to the semi formal?

[Roxy Sowlaty]

He met Adrienne, and they were driving me and Kourtney to the. Oh, like they came to give us a ride.

[Morgan Stewart]

Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. So we met at usc and then we continued to be friends through you graduated college. We were best friends. And what were we doing at this time?

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Nothing. Going to the club and having lunch.

Fucking love life.

The best fun life.

We were young and like.

And, like, eating and drinking a lot.

But kids now don't do that. They're all so skinny.

No. You know, my advice to the young generation is be as ugly as you can for as long as you can because you want to be gorgeous at our age. You don't want to be gorgeous when you're that age because then you're ugly. Every girl we know that was hot then is a dog now.

Right. Yeah. Okay. So we were going out. We were best friends.

Was it a little toxic between us?

Yeah, for sure.

We were. So what was it, do you think? We were just like, psycho.

Psycho toxic. Obsessed with ourselves and talking and nonsense and boys and.

But you were more of the maternal figure in the relationship and I was more of the. Like, I need a lot of validation and attention.

Yeah. And I guess that's still my role and probably still your role. I don't know.

Yeah. Okay, so we were going out to. Where were we going out? This. By the way, guys, if you don't. If you were not in Los Angeles at this time, this was the best time to be in Los Angeles. It was a. The golden age of Los Angeles. There was the Beverly. There was area. Area.

Hyde, okay.

Hyde was like being born again. It was like the most incredible place.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

A little narrower than this room.

Yes. It was fabulous.

And we were drinking only vodka sodas with lemon.

Yeah. And. Oh, my God, so much vodka soda and lemon. I still drank that recently.

And lot of McDonald's and lots of champagne. Lots of champagne.

I'm telling. Last night.

We were, like, drinking and eating all the time. All the time. And then where were we having lunch?

Yeah. That was another Big, like, boy obsession thing if I ran into an ex. Boyfriend.

Mostly Canon.

We were on canon every single day.

Yeah.

Okay, so you were at usc. I went to college in New York for three semesters and got fat and was like, oh, I have to go home. I can't do this. I'm gonna be famous. This is crazy.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Yeah.

[Morgan Stewart]

And then graduated college.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Yes.

[Morgan Stewart]

You moved to New York. So we had been friends through. Yeah, like, nine. I mean, it was a long time.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Yes.

[Morgan Stewart]

Seven years at that point or whatever.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Seven. Yeah. Seven, eight years.

[Morgan Stewart]

But we had. Basically, my point is, you were living in New York, I was living in la. We had swapped locations, and we had still maintained a friendship.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Yes.

[Morgan Stewart]

Cut to. You moved back into LA for good. What year?

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Probably 2013. 2013, 2014.

[Morgan Stewart]

Also, Roxy lived in New York for how long? Two years. Two years. I had nothing the fuck to do. Not a job, not a hobby, not a boyfriend, barely a car. I mean, I was the most lost at this point that I had ever been. I wasn't doing anything.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

I know, but we were. Is that weird time of life where you don't, like, know what you're doing yet?

[Morgan Stewart]

I didn't know what I was doing. But you kind of went the traditional route of, like, you were gonna graduate college. You were in your.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

If you don't go to school, we're not gonna support you.

[Morgan Stewart]

Right.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

So you had to figure it out.

[Morgan Stewart]

And my parents were like, what the fuck are you doing? But we're support you, but barely.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Yeah.

[Morgan Stewart]

So I would visit Roxxxy in New York all the time.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Oh, yeah, I remember.

[Morgan Stewart]

And it would overstay my welcome. Something I would never do now. Cause I was like. I was like, well, no, you have to have me. We're best friends, and I have nothing to do at home. So I was, like, avoiding a lot of my reality at this point. And then 2010, I started Boobs and Lubes. We're going out of order. But that was sort of like my job. Ish thing. 2013, you come back, we continue on with just, like, hanging out, being friends.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Yeah. Trying to kind of figure out. I was trying to start working. Interior design work. Here you started doing, like, trying to figure out doing a show with Dorothy or figuring out with whoever.

[Morgan Stewart]

Right.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Remember?

So do you remember? I was at your house. I vividly remember this. I was at your house. Dorothy went in with a group of friends to pitch out a show that they were gonna do.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

Yes.

[Morgan Stewart]

All those girls. Then she got me involved, and Dorothy and I went in with the same group of people. And they had said to me and Dorothy, there's a show with Morgan and Dorothy. Get rid of everyone else. And then that took a year of just having conversations, and they couldn't figure out what that show was gonna be cut to. They called our casting tape or something. Somebody called and I was like, roxy, we need to go in and do this casting tape at da' Ron's office.

[Roxy Sowlaty]

No, you said Roxy might. They're gonna call you to hear more about me. Oh, you said they're gonna call you to get more insight about me. I'm like, no problem. Of course.

[Morgan Stewart]

So. Oh, my God. Okay, yeah, tell us the story. Cause I don't fucking remember.

I did a call with Jerome and David Lipson and whoever on the call talking and like, coloring you in.

[Morgan Stewart]

Okay. So I started, like, Morgan's like this. And this is our memories exactly. Going out and college and how we met and all these things. And then you had another Roxy also talk about you, remember? Oh, Sadie.

I don't know. But then they called you and they go, we love Roxy. Like, okay, she's fine. They go, no, we're your friend Roxy. And you're like, what?

The theme of, like, just getting through whatever trauma, like, okay, that happened. Let's just move it to the side, and let's just get through it. And I remember you were to the right of me on the bench, and you kind of looked off and you were like. I felt that you were like. That was really bad, and we are not gonna come back from this. And then we left each other that day. I don't remember. I know that it was pretty done for both of us. And then I had all that wedding stuff that you were not included in. That's how done it felt for both of us. But then when. So then we just didn't talk again. And hated each other. Yeah, hated, Hated. And talked so much shit. Terrible shit about each other. So then Roxxxy brings her daughter, and I'm bringing Gray to the Mommy and Me class for this preschool. So then I was like, okay, we're meant to back back, be in each other's lives.
