Roxy Sowlaty
Hi.
Morgan Stewart
Welcome. Thanks.
Roxy Sowlaty
Thank you for having me.
Morgan Stewart
I'm happy you're here.
Roxy Sowlaty
I'm so stuffy.
Morgan Stewart
You are a little stuffy.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know. It's very, very extra n. I know
Morgan Stewart
you are, but I feel like it's okay. It works. First and foremost, I'm so excited you're here.
Roxy Sowlaty
I'm excited, too. I was telling you I'm so excited to be here. He's like, what are you gonna talk about? I'm like, I don't know.
Morgan Stewart
Whatever comes up. But I feel like people are gonna freak the fuck out, honestly. Because the last time we had a conversation, we were trying to get the dates. The last time people saw us have a conversation.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. March 2014.
Morgan Stewart
Oh, you got the actual.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
So our il for nio infamous fight where I had so much filler in my nose. Remember that fight? Remember you said that to me months later? You were like, with all your filler in your nose. I did? Yeah. I Was fine.
Roxy Sowlaty
I said that to you?
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was like. Cause I remember.
Roxy Sowlaty
I have no memory. I'm so sorry.
Morgan Stewart
I have no. We're the same. Okay, so this is to set this up. If you're new. Roxy and I did a show called Rich Kids of Beverly Hills from 2014 to 2016. But you did it 2014.
Roxy Sowlaty
I did it earlier. Started 2012, I think.
Morgan Stewart
No, Roxana, you're wrong. It aired 2014.
Roxy Sowlaty
Oh, okay.
Morgan Stewart
2012. Hello. Let's not get too crazy with the dates here, okay? So tell everybody, if they're new, what you do for a living now. And then we're gonna go back in time.
Roxy Sowlaty
Okay? I do interior design and remodel lots of homes, and that's what I do. And I'm also a mother now of two.
Morgan Stewart
Two. How old are your kids?
Roxy Sowlaty
Two and four.
Morgan Stewart
What are their names?
Roxy Sowlaty
My daughter, who's four, is Bijou. My son, who's two, is Nicholas Jr. We call him Nico or Baby Nick.
Morgan Stewart
Baby Nick.
Roxy Sowlaty
He's so. Baby Nick.
Morgan Stewart
Baby Nick. He's so cute.
Roxy Sowlaty
So cute.
Morgan Stewart
He looks just like you.
Roxy Sowlaty
He's potty training today.
Morgan Stewart
Today.
Roxy Sowlaty
Today of holidays. Let's do it today.
Morgan Stewart
Let's do it today. Is he two? He's two years old.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. Two years and four months. It's time.
Morgan Stewart
It's time. It's time. Whether he likes it or not. Diapers are the grossest. Gross. I hate diapers. Gross. I fucking hate kids. Okay. I fucking hate kids.
Roxy Sowlaty
I love them, but it's.
Morgan Stewart
It's a lot. A lot. And so our. Your daughter and my son are born same age. The same exact age. They're born a day, a week apart. Gray is February 17th.
Roxy Sowlaty
22nd.
Morgan Stewart
February 22nd. Which, of course. Right.
Roxy Sowlaty
It's so funny.
Morgan Stewart
Okay, let's go. I've been. I was. We are both, I will say, very nostalgic.
Roxy Sowlaty
Very.
Morgan Stewart
Right. Like, we, like, can think about the past all day long. I've been thinking about the past for 50 years.
Roxy Sowlaty
I feel like I've, like, done it, been doing it a lot less. But I can, like, get into that mode very easily.
Morgan Stewart
Same.
Roxy Sowlaty
And get stuck.
Morgan Stewart
Well, I think we're getting into, like, a real phase of adulthood where, like, we're really busy and also really fortunate because, like, life's so great, right? Like, we can, like, buy what we want, do what we want, go where we want. There's always a boat involved, which is important. Do you know what I mean? So we're really doing the rich kids thing in, like, adult life. In life.
Roxy Sowlaty
In real life.
Morgan Stewart
Okay. We met in 2006. Roxxxy was friends with my friend Kourtney, and Roxxxy went to usc, where my high school boyfriend was transferring to.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yes.
Morgan Stewart
And we were in a longstanding, toxic relationship where, like, he definitely stopped liking me and I definitely still liked him. And I was like, you didn't let
Roxy Sowlaty
him not like you?
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. There was no option. There was no option. But then he did kind of like me, so it was okay. So Roxxxy moved into the dorm at USC with Kourtney and I, and my ex boyfriend at the time was living at us, and I would go there every week to potentially run into this
Roxy Sowlaty
person to watch the OC With Courtney.
Morgan Stewart
To watch the OC Basically, just to be on campus in case there was a text or a call.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. Or you can bump into him.
Morgan Stewart
Or I could bump into him, walk by his dorm. And I, like, lived. I had to get on the freeway to go. It was like a whole trekking journey for me. So that is where our friendship began. And I think we were fast and furious friends. Would you say that?
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. We immediately were calling me, talking about her mom and her dad fighting about the jam and the.
Morgan Stewart
The jam. The knife going, oh, the butter in the jam.
Roxy Sowlaty
Butter knife going in the jam. Butter in the jam jar. Your mom gets so annoyed. I always think about that in the morning.
Morgan Stewart
She's just as crazy as I am and getting crazier. So what? Going back to that time. So also, we have to make an important Note. I am May 22nd and you are May 21st. Yes.
Roxy Sowlaty
Our birthdays are a day and a year apart.
Morgan Stewart
Exactly.
Roxy Sowlaty
A day.
Morgan Stewart
Which is weird because I have kids a day and a year and apart.
Roxy Sowlaty
So weird.
Morgan Stewart
Very weird. And our kids are so close in age.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. It's so strange.
Morgan Stewart
So we were fast and furious friends. Do you have a first memory of me besides the jam?
Roxy Sowlaty
My first memory of you before I met you was when your ex boyfriend was driving me to my semi formal, and I was talking about something ridiculous. He's like, you're just like my crazy girlfriend Morgan. I was like, huh? Who's Morgan?
Morgan Stewart
He called me his girlfriend. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. My dreams came true. Wait, so why was he driving you to the semi formal?
Roxy Sowlaty
He met Adrienne, and they were driving me and Kourtney to the. Oh, like they came to give us a ride.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. So we met at usc and then we continued to be friends through you graduated college. We were best friends. And what were we doing at this time?
Roxy Sowlaty
Nothing. Going to the club and having lunch.
Morgan Stewart
Fucking love life.
Roxy Sowlaty
The best fun life.
Morgan Stewart
We were young and like.
Roxy Sowlaty
And, like, eating and drinking a lot.
Morgan Stewart
And eating and drinking a lot. So fabulous. I was.
Roxy Sowlaty
But kids now don't do that. They're all so skinny.
Morgan Stewart
No. You know, my advice to the young generation is be as ugly as you can for as long as you can because you want to be gorgeous at our age. You don't want to be gorgeous when you're that age because then you're ugly. Every girl we know that was hot then is a dog now.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yes.
Morgan Stewart
Right. Yeah. Okay. So we were going out. We were best friends.
Roxy Sowlaty
We had a.
Morgan Stewart
Was it a little toxic between us?
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, for sure.
Morgan Stewart
We were. So what was it, do you think? We were just like, psycho.
Roxy Sowlaty
Psycho toxic. Obsessed with ourselves and talking and nonsense and boys and.
Morgan Stewart
Crazy.
Roxy Sowlaty
Crazy.
Morgan Stewart
But you were more of the maternal figure in the relationship and I was more of the. Like, I need a lot of validation and attention.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, right. Definitely. Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
That's how I view it.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. And I guess that's still my role and probably still your role. I don't know.
Morgan Stewart
Yes, that's my role. Do you think I've changed a lot in our conversations?
Roxy Sowlaty
I think so. Oh, like, you've definitely grown up.
Morgan Stewart
Oh, I've grown up.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
You were always growing up.
Roxy Sowlaty
I've matured a lot.
Morgan Stewart
And you were mature then.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, but I still was a child. I was still a kid. I feel like we've. We've come into ourselves. We're, like, caring for others now.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. Oh, my God. Gross.
Roxy Sowlaty
It's so hard.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. Okay, so we were going out to. Where were we going out? This. By the way, guys, if you don't. If you were not in Los Angeles at this time, this was the best time to be in Los Angeles. It was a. The golden age of Los Angeles. There was the Beverly. There was area. Area.
Roxy Sowlaty
Hyde, okay.
Morgan Stewart
Hyde was like being born again. It was like the most incredible place.
Roxy Sowlaty
A little narrower than this room.
Morgan Stewart
Yes. It was fabulous.
Roxy Sowlaty
It was amazing.
Morgan Stewart
And we were drinking only vodka sodas with lemon.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. And. Oh, my God, so much vodka soda and lemon. I still drank that recently.
Morgan Stewart
And lot of McDonald's and lots of champagne. Lots of champagne.
Roxy Sowlaty
I'm telling. Last night.
Morgan Stewart
Did you really?
Roxy Sowlaty
I send you a photo.
Morgan Stewart
What did you have?
Roxy Sowlaty
Nuggets. Nick got it from you.
Morgan Stewart
There's nothing better.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know.
Morgan Stewart
We were, like, drinking and eating all the time. All the time. And then where were we having lunch?
Roxy Sowlaty
La Scala.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. That was another Big, like, boy obsession thing if I ran into an ex. Boyfriend.
Roxy Sowlaty
Mostly Canon.
Morgan Stewart
We were on canon every single day.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
Okay, so you were at usc. I went to college in New York for three semesters and got fat and was like, oh, I have to go home. I can't do this. I'm gonna be famous. This is crazy.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
And then graduated college.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yes.
Morgan Stewart
You moved to New York. So we had been friends through. Yeah, like, nine. I mean, it was a long time.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yes.
Morgan Stewart
Seven years at that point or whatever.
Roxy Sowlaty
Seven. Yeah. Seven, eight years.
Morgan Stewart
But we had. Basically, my point is, you were living in New York, I was living in la. We had swapped locations, and we had still maintained a friendship.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yes.
Morgan Stewart
Cut to. You moved back into LA for good. What year?
Roxy Sowlaty
Probably 2013. 2013, 2014.
Morgan Stewart
Also, Roxy lived in New York for how long? Two years. Two years. I had nothing the fuck to do. Not a job, not a hobby, not a boyfriend, barely a car. I mean, I was the most lost at this point that I had ever been. I wasn't doing anything.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know, but we were. Is that weird time of life where you don't, like, know what you're doing yet?
Morgan Stewart
I didn't know what I was doing. But you kind of went the traditional route of, like, you were gonna graduate college. You were in your.
Roxy Sowlaty
If you don't go to school, we're not gonna support you.
Morgan Stewart
Right.
Roxy Sowlaty
So you had to figure it out.
Morgan Stewart
And my parents were like, what the fuck are you doing? But we're support you, but barely.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
So I would visit Roxxxy in New York all the time.
Roxy Sowlaty
Oh, yeah, I remember.
Morgan Stewart
And it would overstay my welcome. Something I would never do now. Cause I was like. I was like, well, no, you have to have me. We're best friends, and I have nothing to do at home. So I was, like, avoiding a lot of my reality at this point. And then 2010, I started Boobs and Lubes. We're going out of order. But that was sort of like my job. Ish thing. 2013, you come back, we continue on with just, like, hanging out, being friends.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. Trying to kind of figure out. I was trying to start working. Interior design work. Here you started doing, like, trying to figure out doing a show with Dorothy or figuring out with whoever.
Morgan Stewart
Right.
Roxy Sowlaty
Remember?
Morgan Stewart
So do you remember? I was at your house. I vividly remember this. I was at your house. Dorothy went in with a group of friends to pitch out a show that they were gonna do.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yes.
Morgan Stewart
All those girls. Then she got me involved, and Dorothy and I went in with the same group of people. And they had said to me and Dorothy, there's a show with Morgan and Dorothy. Get rid of everyone else. And then that took a year of just having conversations, and they couldn't figure out what that show was gonna be cut to. They called our casting tape or something. Somebody called and I was like, roxy, we need to go in and do this casting tape at da' Ron's office.
Roxy Sowlaty
No, you said Roxy might. They're gonna call you to hear more about me. Oh, you said they're gonna call you to get more insight about me. I'm like, no problem. Of course.
Morgan Stewart
So. Oh, my God. Okay, yeah, tell us the story. Cause I don't fucking remember.
Roxy Sowlaty
I did a call with Jerome and David Lipson and whoever on the call talking and like, coloring you in.
Morgan Stewart
Those are our executive producer rich kids, by the way.
Roxy Sowlaty
Okay. So I started, like, Morgan's like this. And this is our memories exactly. Going out and college and how we met and all these things. And then you had another Roxy also talk about you, remember? Oh, Sadie.
Morgan Stewart
Why is she talking to them?
Roxy Sowlaty
I don't know. But then they called you and they go, we love Roxy. Like, okay, she's fine. They go, no, we're your friend Roxy. And you're like, what?
Morgan Stewart
Oh, yeah, I had a freak out. Did I have a freakout?
Roxy Sowlaty
Freak out.
Morgan Stewart
Freak out. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. So. Okay.
Roxy Sowlaty
Uh huh. So that's kind of how. And I was like, I'm not doing a show. I would never do this.
Morgan Stewart
Right.
Roxy Sowlaty
And then I was kind of like, maybe I should, and maybe we should. And I knew it'd be the end of us being friends.
Morgan Stewart
So did I. I knew that right away.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, me too.
Morgan Stewart
How sad is that?
Roxy Sowlaty
So sad.
Morgan Stewart
Oh, God, I'm gonna get emotional, but I feel like I. Because you and I were. We were obsessed with each other. We were very close. We were very similar. It was definitely very toxic.
Roxy Sowlaty
It just, like, had no boundaries.
Morgan Stewart
No boundaries. And I was emotionally very immature and needy and probably very insecure about where I was at that point in life. And you represented something that was very together, but I couldn't admit that. And, you know, I've had a lot of therapy since that time, but I knew. I remember walking and being on the phone with our mutual friend Cassie, and I was like, well, you can join. But Da da. It was just being very controlling. Cause I was like, this is gonna blow up. This is not gonna work.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. And also, your baby is what you wanted for someone.
Morgan Stewart
It was something I want. And it was also, thank you for Saying that it was something like that I needed. Like, you didn't need it. I needed it because it was, like, for years, I was funny to all of our friends, but, like, I had no job now. All of now.
Roxy Sowlaty
But I'm not for people to know how funny you are and your career. Personality, talent.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, I needed a career. So, Roxy, we do a casting tape. It gets immediately picked up, and we start the show.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. And we did it without a name, and the name came after, which is a very hard pill for all of us and our parents to swallow. Calling it Rich Kids.
Morgan Stewart
Do you remember that?
Roxy Sowlaty
Yes. It was so dramatic.
Morgan Stewart
So we had done a casting tape, and we had gone in.
Roxy Sowlaty
We got picked up. We got picked up. Untitled Show.
Morgan Stewart
Yes. That was really stressful. And then the producers came back, and Ian said, we want to call it Rich Kids of Beverly Hills. And I remember we were all like, you cannot call it that.
Roxy Sowlaty
Correct. And, like, if people stopped talking to us, they did.
Morgan Stewart
Who stopped talking? Who the fuck stopped talking to us? Who fucking cares about. But your mom was very upset.
Roxy Sowlaty
Nick, my husband, didn't speak to me. My mom was my friend at the time.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, you were on and off. How long have you been with Nick?
Roxy Sowlaty
Like, friends for so many years. Since. Even before. Like, since 2008, probably.
Morgan Stewart
So Jordan and I dated the first time, 2009 to2010.ish. And Roxxxy and Nick were fornicating then as well.
Roxy Sowlaty
So crazy.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, it was. So we've also been in each other's lives through our relationship. So now we are both married to the men that we were dating back in 2009.
Roxy Sowlaty
So straight. How crazy is that?
Morgan Stewart
It's crazy. And do you remember? Okay, so then.
Roxy Sowlaty
So we'd do the show. We'd pick up. It's called Rich Kids.
Morgan Stewart
That was stressful. And then we were like, fuck it.
Roxy Sowlaty
Like, fuck it. Let's just do it.
Morgan Stewart
Let's just do it.
Roxy Sowlaty
And we're 24 or 25. Who cares? Like, what's the worst that's gonna happen? We're not in our 30s with kids.
Morgan Stewart
Well, yeah. Yeah. Okay. What are some of your memories from rich kids?
Roxy Sowlaty
Like, flying to China together.
Morgan Stewart
That was. We were so funny, and that was so. That was honestly an amazing experience for us.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, we got to go everywhere.
Morgan Stewart
We got to go everywh. I mean, we were literally, like, in China. We went to Vegas.
Roxy Sowlaty
We went to the Bahamas. Hawaii.
Morgan Stewart
The Bahamas was my trip. I felt really Zen in the fucking Bahamas.
Roxy Sowlaty
We went to Pinedale, Wyoming.
Morgan Stewart
Oh, yeah. We went to you guys, when I tell you I have no memory. I barely watched an episode of Rich Kids.
Roxy Sowlaty
I definitely watched. Was emotional. Every week.
Morgan Stewart
Every week. I was too ugly to watch it. Why was I so shiny in every clip? Could they do something?
Roxy Sowlaty
They're so mean.
Morgan Stewart
They would pay.
Roxy Sowlaty
They bought. You got $20 a day for glam budget. $20.
Morgan Stewart
Remember y.
Roxy Sowlaty
Thank God for Scott King to her for 40 bucks a day.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, it was crazy. We really had to struggle in the glamorous.
Roxy Sowlaty
You were so mean.
Morgan Stewart

Morgan Stewart
Okay, so we did riches. We were fine through rich kids for the most part.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, Right. It was sticky, but I think it was fine.
Morgan Stewart
Was it sticky from the beginning?
Roxy Sowlaty
I think it was really confusing and hard for you to share.
Morgan Stewart
Yes.
Roxy Sowlaty
And I never wanted to take anything from you.
Morgan Stewart
We were so different, but similar.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know, but on camera personality, it wasn't. I didn't wanna ever take what you wanted, but maybe you were guarding it.
Morgan Stewart
I think I was in a place of just deep insecurity. And I'm extremely controlling and neurotic.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yes.
Morgan Stewart
Was I always that way?
Roxy Sowlaty
I think you're always controlling. No. I think so.
Morgan Stewart
Was I always anxious?
Roxy Sowlaty
Not. No.
Morgan Stewart
Really? So you don't think I was? Well, I guess now that I'm reflecting and going back in time. Like, was I always overthinking? Do you remember that?
Roxy Sowlaty
Always.
Morgan Stewart
Always.
Roxy Sowlaty
Always. Till two in the morning. At the Meters.
Morgan Stewart
At the Meters. Okay, you guys. Meters is a strip in Beverly Hills
Roxy Sowlaty
like that, basically where you park your cars. It's a metered parking area called the Meters between Beverly Drive and Cannon and Little Santa Monica.
Morgan Stewart
And we were there, like every weekend.
Roxy Sowlaty
Park the cars there and carpool there and then go back to the cars after the club. And sit in the car for five hours and recap the night over and over and over. And Morgan would overthink the same thing over and over and over and over.
Morgan Stewart
Every exchange, every person. Remember me.
Roxy Sowlaty
What do you think?
Morgan Stewart
What do you think?
Roxy Sowlaty
What did he say?
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, do I hate that bitch? I hate that fucking bitch. Like, we hated a lot of people though.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know, right? The other day, Bijou, my daughter said, I hate Ryder. And I'm like, we do not use that word.
Morgan Stewart
And I was like, but we hate everybody.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know, it's so bad.
Morgan Stewart
I still hate everybody.
Roxy Sowlaty
I don't hate everybody. I feel like I don't talk to anybody.
Morgan Stewart
Same. Oh, God. Okay, let's stay in the past. I love the past. Okay, so. Okay, so then we do the show for two seasons.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yes. And then the third season, you got engaged.
Morgan Stewart
Yes. And we had a falling out.
Roxy Sowlaty
We had a falling out.
Morgan Stewart
It was a bad falling out.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. And I feel like it's. I was thinking, like I told you last night, I feel like elf. And I was now closed, which is where we had this big fight. And I think that's the only reason why we can be here today. It feels like really meant to you that now it's no longer in existence and we can like do this.
Morgan Stewart
Do this.
Roxy Sowlaty
I can't even drive by it.
Morgan Stewart
No, ever. Like, we are very woo woo. And very, like everything happens for a reason. I think energetically aligned too, about a lot of stuff. We think about stuff similarly in that way. But we had this big falling out and I think. I don't even remember the details and it doesn't matter, but that was really bad. And I remember leaving the lunch and trying to be like, well, we had to do that for tv.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
And. But feeling. I wanna be clear. I felt the way I felt and I confronted you from a very passionate, real place. As my friend and sister at the time when we left, I was kind of having an out of body experience. And do you remember when we left after we were screaming at each other and we sat on that bench. No, to the left of the restaurant, there was that little bench there.
Roxy Sowlaty
Maybe I remember. Why did you do this? I remember asking you that, why'd you do this?
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, why did you do this? But you said, why did you do this? In a way that you were like, this is over. Like, we are no longer gonna be in each other's lives. And I remember being like trying to like grapple with the fact that I was like, well, you know, we had to do that. And I Feel this way. But, like, sort of. And I guess now thinking about all the things that I've talked about in this podcast, which is the thematics of like. Or did I just make up a word? Like, it's the theme of. The theme of, like, just getting through whatever trauma, like, okay, that happened. Let's just move it to the side, and let's just get through it. And I remember you were to the right of me on the bench, and you kind of looked off and you were like. I felt that you were like. That was really bad, and we are not gonna come back from this. And then we left each other that day. I don't remember. I know that it was pretty done for both of us. And then I had all that wedding stuff that you were not included in. That's how done it felt for both of us. But then when. So then we just didn't talk again. And hated each other. Yeah, hated, Hated. And talked so much shit. Terrible shit about each other. Oh, I, like, heard some of the rumblings, and I was like, oh, we're going. That nasty.
Roxy Sowlaty
Sorry.
Morgan Stewart
It's okay. I hate those people.
Roxy Sowlaty
I was so upset.
Morgan Stewart
I know. I was so upset, but it was nasty. Nasty.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know. But, like, how else could you.
Morgan Stewart
I know we really should have just, like, called a professional or, like.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. Gotten help.
Morgan Stewart
Gotten help and not Del. But I didn't talk. You talked more shit about me than I talked shit about you.
Roxy Sowlaty
But I also think you talked shit about me when we were friends more than I.
Morgan Stewart
You talked shit about me when we were friends, Roxy.
Roxy Sowlaty
No, I did not as much as you.
Morgan Stewart
You did.
Roxy Sowlaty
I did not.
Morgan Stewart
We were toxic, but we had so much fun. And there was a lot of genuine, like, love and support there, too. It wasn't all bad.
Roxy Sowlaty
I'll say this. I feel like Morgan and I can talk. We like to, like. We have fun making fun of people in a fun. No, no.
Morgan Stewart
Cut it, cut it. No, keep it. Keep it. Keep it.
Roxy Sowlaty
We've got. We like to laugh at things. Cause it's fun. You know what I'm saying? It's, like, not like. It's, like, harmless talking. It's not mean talking shit.
Morgan Stewart
No.
Roxy Sowlaty
Well, no. Sometimes maybe it's mean, but it's like, it's not to be mean. It's kind of just like, we wanna laugh.
Morgan Stewart
And we also make very.
Roxy Sowlaty
Does that make any sense?
Morgan Stewart
Yes, but we make very realistic and valid commentary about things that exist. We're not just being mean about people's life and appearance and stuff for no reason.
Roxy Sowlaty
It's fun to just laugh with each other, right? We laughed a lot with each other.
Morgan Stewart
With. Oh, my God, I'm dying right now.
Roxy Sowlaty
Am I getting in trouble?
Morgan Stewart
Not at all. You've said nothing wrong. It is true, though. We are like. And that has subsided a lot. Don't you find yourself. I genuinely find myself at this stage in my life being like, I'm not gonna make that joke.
Roxy Sowlaty
No, I don't say anything. I'm like. I'm, like, mute.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, but even, like, you just. You feel above it, right? Like, you're not gonna put some. You're not gonna make fun of someone or talk shit about somebody because you also, at least for me, I don't want that energy to come back to me anymore.
Roxy Sowlaty
No, I don't. I don't talk badly about anyone. Like, I. And I really want the best for everyone, but in our friendship, we just like to talk about nonsense. That's what everyone did. And laugh together. Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
Okay, so then that's what I mean.
Roxy Sowlaty
I'm not talking shit about people.
Morgan Stewart
Well, we were talking shit about people. It's fine. We were very young, and it's okay. And we were having fun, and everyone talks shit about everybody. Do you know how much shit people are talking about us right now?
Roxy Sowlaty
No one cares about us anymore. I do feel like no one.
Morgan Stewart
Are we rapping? Is she crazy? This is all I have.
Roxy Sowlaty
I don't think people talk about us, Roxy, but maybe you put yourself out there a lot more than I do. I'm like, what are you talking about, Kelly? You're posting. You're on. You're showing. You're this. Of course people are talking badly about
Morgan Stewart
you, Roxxxy, if you like my photo. People are commenting like, oh, they're talking again. Yeah, people care. People are talking again.
Roxy Sowlaty
Oh, really?
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, we're relevant. I will fucking kill myself. Are you crazy?
Roxy Sowlaty
Maybe you are. You are relevant. I'm not relevant.
Morgan Stewart
You're relevant. The slightest hint of you comes up, and you're relevant.
Roxy Sowlaty
Okay.
Morgan Stewart
And now we're doing a podcast, so we're relevant.
Roxy Sowlaty
Okay.
Morgan Stewart
Okay. So we stopped talking. We're not friends. We're nasty.
Roxy Sowlaty
We're enemies.
Morgan Stewart
Enemies. Nasty.
Roxy Sowlaty
Hates.
Morgan Stewart
We didn't see each other, did we?
Roxy Sowlaty
Not for a long time.
Morgan Stewart
How long would you say?
Roxy Sowlaty
The first time I think I saw you was at David Allidgeum's birthday party. Our friend has a birthday party every year in December. Mm. I think it's the first time I saw you.
Morgan Stewart
And we were. We had spoken.
Roxy Sowlaty
Okay.
Morgan Stewart
We had spoken before that, too. A few times.
Roxy Sowlaty
We did. Oh, no, no. The first time I saw you was at the Nice Guy. And I got. And we had got into a fight. What happened? A big fight. Brendan was a hitting or a swinging. And Sarah Blue Chart's ex. Wife. Whatever her name was.
Morgan Stewart
So mutual friends of ours. Mutual friends of ours got involved. Were we.
Roxy Sowlaty
We had, like, a physical altercation at the Nice Guy.
Morgan Stewart
Did I win? I don't remember.
Roxy Sowlaty
You, like, threw. We. It was bad.
Morgan Stewart
I do not remember that at all. What year was that?
Roxy Sowlaty
Emily got in my face.
Morgan Stewart
I vaguely reverted.
Roxy Sowlaty
It was very soon after. It was like, very soon after this thing, this fight happened.
Morgan Stewart
So we were physically hitting one.
Roxy Sowlaty
Brendan started screaming at me and Nick.
Morgan Stewart
Jesus Christ.
Roxy Sowlaty
I screamed, Emily screamed. We all screamed.
Morgan Stewart
So dramatic.
Roxy Sowlaty
So dramatic.
Morgan Stewart
Was there a camera?
Roxy Sowlaty
There should have been a camera.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. God, dude. There's never a goddamn camera when you need one. Okay. So we had that, and then we didn't see each other for a long time. But I feel like you reached out a bit. We started to, like, talk a little and, like, keep up with each other.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. And, like, have peace and, like.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah.
Roxy Sowlaty
And I felt like at some point when all of, like, the sadness and, like, the emotion, like, subsided. The anger subsided. Yeah. It's kind of like at the end of the day, like, there's so much history. We were such close friends. There's so many memories I want to think about and, like, laugh with you at some point. When it put it behind us.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. It was like, no. We had moved on with our lives.
Roxy Sowlaty
And our lives were so far from where they were then.
Morgan Stewart
Right. Totally. So valid. And then what happened with. I'm trying to think about. You got married. We were friendly before you got married.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, I got. Yeah, we were. I feel like we were, like, in a fine place, but I feel like then I was always, like, sticky and weird, like. But she still fucking hates me or she's still talking badly about. We always had these anxieties, probably about each other.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. It didn't feel like it was, like, legitimate. Yeah. And I think a lot of people were happy that we were not friends anymore.
Roxy Sowlaty
Probably. Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
Right.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
Cause they were kind of on the outskirts of the relationship.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. And people still think we're friends. Like, I saw someone at school, like, oh, my. How's Morgan? I'm like, great.
Morgan Stewart
Who was it?
Roxy Sowlaty
I told you, like.
Morgan Stewart
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. And then. But I definitely think, like, there is a little bit of that, like, karmic. I spoke to my psychic once. About you. I told you. And he was like. I was like, I don't know. I probably said, I can't stand that bitch or something weird. And he was like, I really see Roxy staying in your life. Cause you know me, I'm very like, I like it to be. I know I like it to be.
Roxy Sowlaty
You're crazy. I'm not white.
Morgan Stewart
And Roxy's very gray. And it's ironic that I named my son gray because I hate being in the gray. You're either my best friend and we will literally be upset, or we are enemies. So if we're, like, in the middle and we got into a little tiff recently. Cause we, like, never solidified because we've been trying to have lunch for two and a half years now.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know. I never have lunch with anybody.
Morgan Stewart
Right.
Roxy Sowlaty
Unless it's an out of town person that's coming. Like, we have to have lunch.
Morgan Stewart
So then I spiraled, and I was like, we can't keep making fake plans.
Roxy Sowlaty
And I was like, are you okay?
Morgan Stewart
And you were like, yeah. And then I was like, I'm fine. I'm just. I don't want to keep making a fake plan that doesn't happen. But we then. Okay, so right before Jordan and I got back together, we were talking consistently.
Roxy Sowlaty
Oh, yeah. And then you got back with Jordan,
Morgan Stewart
which was crazy because that was a really crazy time when we first were together. Yeah.
Roxy Sowlaty
When you and Brendan got separated, I thought we were checking in and talking.
Morgan Stewart
Yes. Yes. You were definitely checking in on me at that period because that was, like, also a whole trauma.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
And. Yeah.
Roxy Sowlaty
During COVID Yes.
Morgan Stewart
Have we not. When was the last time we had a meal together? Now that I'm talking, Now that I'm
Roxy Sowlaty
thinking about it, I think the last time was when we chatted at Bird Streets.
Morgan Stewart
Oh, yeah. But we didn't make an actual plan. So we've consistently texted since 2020, probably every month or so, would you say? Every few weeks. And we have not had lunch since 2015.
Roxy Sowlaty
Mm.
Morgan Stewart
And so let's talk about. Let's go back to where we are now.
Roxy Sowlaty
Easy.
Morgan Stewart
So you have a daughter. I have a son. Yes. We're pregnant at the same time.
Roxy Sowlaty
So crazy.
Morgan Stewart
At that point. We're still friendly, checking in once in a while, but, like, nothing genuine, nothing, like, really has happened. And then I put my daughter in a preschool, and of all the people in the entire world to show up on the tour of the preschool is Roxy's little sister.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yes.
Morgan Stewart
And now today, my daughter is best friends with Roxy's Little sister's daughter. Of all of the schools, of all of the places in Los Angeles to go to school. And for all of the kids in the class, for them to be.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know, it's honestly insane.
Morgan Stewart
Insane. And truly best friends. Not like, I mean, Leia has Bijou, her cousin, your daughter. So, like, she has like, sort of her built in sister friend. But like, Ro doesn't like anybody but Leia. No one. I like Leah more. And I'm like, okay, but like, she's not your only option. You need to, like, make other friends. It's only Leia. For real. So then Roxxxy brings her daughter, and I'm bringing Gray to the Mommy and Me class for this preschool. So then I was like, okay, we're meant to back back, be in each other's lives.
Roxy Sowlaty
And then I. I message you. I'm like, let's just like, sit down and talk.
Morgan Stewart
Let's sit down and talk.
Roxy Sowlaty
Remember?
Morgan Stewart
Yes.
Roxy Sowlaty
I was like, I don't want to walk in and feel like, uncomfortable. Uncomfortable. And both of us feel like there's like so much unsaid, so much that's been unsaid. Like, let's just talk.
Morgan Stewart
Totally. So we had, like, been friendly, but not really. And then we walked into the same Mommy and Me class, and then we sat down at Bird Streets and we had a whole other. We're always hashing shit out, but we still don't have lunch.
Roxy Sowlaty
We should probably have lunch. Who has lunch?
Morgan Stewart
I never have lunch.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Morgan Stewart
All we did for five o'. Clock.
Roxy Sowlaty
Five o' clock dinner. I know.
Morgan Stewart
Five o' clock dinner is my favorite thing in the entire world.
Roxy Sowlaty
Me too.
Morgan Stewart
And then. Okay, but back to. And then now. Here we are.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah.

Morgan Stewart
Are you happy you did the show?
Roxy Sowlaty
So happy. I'm so happy I did it.
Morgan Stewart
Fabulous, right?
Roxy Sowlaty
Happy I didn't. I'm happy that I stopped doing it.
Morgan Stewart
Would you ever do a revamp of rich kids?
Roxy Sowlaty
I couldn't, like, imagine doing a show with as a mom. Like, saying ridiculous things as a mom seems irresponsible. Whoa.
Morgan Stewart
We're so old. Literally.
Roxy Sowlaty
I can imagine being a housewife. How can you be a housewife? I couldn't do that. Some people can. I couldn't handle it.
Morgan Stewart
But would you do a mini? I mean, you don't have to say ridiculous things. You just have to be yourself.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, but I say ridiculous. I have to think about what I say. I just say, nonsense. Nick's like, don't think before you speak. I'm like, I know. I need to think before I speak.
Morgan Stewart
Is Nick gonna make us send him a cut of this episode? He's gonna be terrified that you went off the.
Roxy Sowlaty
No, he's the best. He's like, no, he just knows me.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, I know. I feel like we both say, like, crazy things, and then, like, we have to, like, oops, should not have said that. Or I feel like, for me, emotions are. I feel something very strongly. I say it, and then I'm two days later, I'm like, oh, I forget that. I don't remember.
Roxy Sowlaty
I'm like, oh, I didn't.
Morgan Stewart
I don't feel that way. But people hold onto that.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know. Like my daughter.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. Oh, is she like that? Everything? Yeah. She's so smart, huh?
Roxy Sowlaty
But, yeah, I'm so happy I did. I think it was so much fun. It was the craziest experience. Getting to watch yourself back on camera is a gift that most people never get.
Morgan Stewart
Do you consider that a gift?
Roxy Sowlaty
The biggest gift.
Morgan Stewart
Why do you think that's a gift?
Roxy Sowlaty
I don't think that. I always say that.
Morgan Stewart
Because you get to, what, analyze yourself?
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. Like, see how you occur. Like, no one knows how they occur in the world. You think you're one way.
Morgan Stewart
Is this Freud? What are we doing? Is this existential crisis? You don't think this. I don't know what I think.
Roxy Sowlaty
You think, oh, I look like that? My mouth is like that, or I sound like that?
Morgan Stewart
Well, yeah. When I got the lip filler with you bitch on canon and she hit that nerve and that lip didn't move for 12 years. Remember?
Roxy Sowlaty
Yes.
Morgan Stewart
We used to go in and get this lip filler at lunch.
Roxy Sowlaty
It was.
Morgan Stewart
My lips were this small, and my
Roxy Sowlaty
mom's like, what'd you do to your face? I couldn't move for two days.
Morgan Stewart
They were like this and this and so crooked to the point where it was definitely nerve damage. Cause I don't think I spoke like that before. This lip doesn't move.
Roxy Sowlaty
So what I'm saying is it's really cool to watch lip on camera, and it's an experience.
Morgan Stewart
But you looked good on camera. I looked like I was doing crack with Whitney Houston. I was like, nuts.
Roxy Sowlaty
We need glam bad. And powder and the beautiful on Mars. And then I also think it was cool that we learned how to interview and, like, learn how to speak or do a speech. It's really important. Like lessons. No.
Morgan Stewart
Public speaking.
Roxy Sowlaty
No, I can't do that. But I'm a lot less scared than I was.
Morgan Stewart
So you can get up and give a speech?
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. Can you not?
Morgan Stewart
Absolutely. Never in my life.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yes, you can.
Morgan Stewart
No, I absolutely cannot do that. I cannot address a room full of, like, 15 people. I will.
Roxy Sowlaty
That's true.
Morgan Stewart
No, I cannot public speak. But now that they're really bringing it into the schools, so that's good. But when I watched rich kids, all I thought about was how I should have chosen a different shirt and how I didn't look as good as I should have.
Roxy Sowlaty
That's all I can do is how you look. Yeah, I know.
Morgan Stewart
What else should I care about?
Roxy Sowlaty
I don't know what you said.
Morgan Stewart
Oh, no, I didn't care about what I said.
Roxy Sowlaty
You're smart about what you say.
Morgan Stewart
Am I smart about what I say?
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, very. You're not loosey goosey? I'm a lot more loosey goosey with things I say. I'm like, huh, I seem stupid. Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
I think that we should do a whole sit down rich kids reunion. I think it could be like a VH1. Does VH1 exist?
Roxy Sowlaty
No, I don't think so. Does E exist still? I'm just kidding.
Morgan Stewart
Does it, though?
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. Peacock.
Morgan Stewart
No, Peacock. No, Roxy. Peacock's its own thing.
Roxy Sowlaty
But E Is part of it. It's like the umbrella.
Morgan Stewart
No, that's just like the streaming service. E is like its own. I know.
Roxy Sowlaty
It doesn't peacock stream E. Okay.
Morgan Stewart
No, see, I don't even know how to get to that on the tv.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know. It's so complicated. It's so complicated.
Morgan Stewart
Okay, so you liked rich kids. And then we. Okay, so total. We've known each other how many years now?
Roxy Sowlaty
A lot. 10. I mean, Roxy. 10.
Morgan Stewart
Okay.
Roxy Sowlaty
2006.
Morgan Stewart
How long ago? 26. 20 years.
Roxy Sowlaty
20 years.
Morgan Stewart
20 years.
Roxy Sowlaty
Wow. We're so old.
Morgan Stewart
No, we're not 20 years. We were just super young. 20 years. A reality show?
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. Kids.
Morgan Stewart
Now we have kids and we're both married.
Roxy Sowlaty
That's crazy. 20 years.
Morgan Stewart
What other memories do you have? From when we were friends. God, it got nasty. I'm, like, now reliving. It did get really nasty between us. That was. We were.
Roxy Sowlaty
I think I blacked a lot of it out, though.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, same. But whoa.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. It was so bad.
Morgan Stewart
Yikes. Yikes. Jesus Christ. Okay, so what do you think? What is like, do you have one memory of us going out? One single memory, just like, one that really stands out? Like, I remember the Chris Brown song. Do you remember the floaty song? What is that song? Um, like when he says forever 12 times.
Roxy Sowlaty
It's called Forever.
Morgan Stewart
Is it?
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. I love Chris Brown. Still.
Morgan Stewart
I love Chris Brown. Are we allowed to say that? I love Chris Brown. My favorite video of. Of all time on the Internet is when Chris Brown is singing Kandy Rain on a radio show. Do you know what that song is?
Roxy Sowlaty
No.
Morgan Stewart
Anyway, he's incredibly hot when he does it.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know. Dances.
Morgan Stewart
Dances.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know. He's so talented. I love him. Talented.
Morgan Stewart
He's so talented. Oh, my God. Is there anything else we need to hit on? I'm thinking about. I'm getting lost in the sauce here.
Roxy Sowlaty
I have questions for you.
Morgan Stewart
Oh, ask me questions. Okay, nevermind.
Roxy Sowlaty
I feel like I know you so well from when we were young. Like, how well do I know you now?
Morgan Stewart
How well do you know me?
Roxy Sowlaty
I mean, I'm asking. I don't know. I don't know how well I know you. Like, do you use ChatGPT? I'm so curious if you use ChatGPT. Yes, you do.
Morgan Stewart
All the time.
Roxy Sowlaty
You do?
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. I ask them, like, random things. I ask it random things.
Roxy Sowlaty
Like what?
Morgan Stewart
Or like, I'll put an email through it and be like, I need you to make this grammatically correct. You know me. I can't do a sentence. I'm Like, I barely use it. There's work.
Roxy Sowlaty
Isn't that crazy?
Morgan Stewart
But I don't use it that often. But, like, I'll use it for, like, if I have to write an email to an admissions lady, I'm, like, gonna use it. I'm.
Roxy Sowlaty
Whatever.
Morgan Stewart
I will write the email and then I will. Yeah. So I don't have to worry about that. Well, that's changed my life. Cause I miss the entire sect section of school where you learned these things. I was, like, drawing.
Roxy Sowlaty
No. Needs to learn it ever again.
Morgan Stewart
Terrifying. So what else do you have questions about? My agent's calling me.
Roxy Sowlaty
Question, answer.
Morgan Stewart
No, I can't.
Roxy Sowlaty
Why?
Morgan Stewart
It's fine. Because I'm on air with you.
Roxy Sowlaty
Pause it.
Morgan Stewart
No, it's okay. Not important.
Roxy Sowlaty
Tell me what's important.
Morgan Stewart
No, it's fine. Tell me, what's your agent? I have nine agents. But you know what? I didn't. I literally have, like, nine. I have television agents, commercial agents. But now when you do a podcast, I get my own very, like, serious agent. They, like, come to things. Chelsea's here today. She's so excited. She's like, ah.
Roxy Sowlaty
Where does Chelsea live?
Morgan Stewart
New York. Chelsea, did you watch Rich Kids? No. No, I didn't. Okay, whatever. But I love you also. That was the one thing I want to say about rich kids before you ask me more questions about something. We were never told or shown how successful Rich Kids was when it was happening. Do you agree?
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, but why? I don't get it.
Morgan Stewart
I think that was probably a ploy to make us not ask for a lot of money or not be aware. It was always like, well, we don't know if this season's coming back. Meanwhile, we are mega stars from that. People were obsessed with the show. I remember when we premiered and I was in Saint Tropez doing God knows what with whatever, having a fabulous time. I was stopped everywhere.
Roxy Sowlaty
Me, too.
Morgan Stewart
Like, I was Kim Kardashian for years. Years.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. It was crazy.
Morgan Stewart
I still get stopped quite a bit inconsistently.
Roxy Sowlaty
Do you? Yeah. Yeah, I do.
Morgan Stewart
But I think people were obsessed. This whole generation, now that's just a bit under us, is obsessed with rich kids. I know people are rewatching it like, it is a whole phenomenon. And when we were in the midst of filming that show and getting picked up, it was always like, I think
Roxy Sowlaty
it's a reality TV production ploy, though. They do it on purpose so that people, like, the cast is like, oh, we need you. We have to do it again. Like, I think they're supposed to do that.
Morgan Stewart
I think also thinking about this now, my biggest regret was when I. So Roxy and I got into our big fight, and I called our executive producer, Jennifer, and I was like, I am never gonna film with Roxxxy again, and I don't want her to come back to the show. And I'm sorry I said that.
Roxy Sowlaty
I don't care.
Morgan Stewart
I know, but that is my biggest regret, and that was me being a spoiled, cutting off my nose despite my face. Like, you should have come back. I know you didn't even really want to at that point, but we should have continued and evolved and gotten through whatever we got through and had a different relationship than maybe we were gonna have. But that show would have had so much more life and continued on, probably
Roxy Sowlaty
because I didn't realize it'd be so different.
Morgan Stewart
It was dried out. Right. Like, no one really had much else to give, really. And, yeah, I think that's my biggest takeaway. My biggest regret was I should have just, like, chilled the fuck out, let us play.
Roxy Sowlaty
I should have probably had our real fight off camera.
Morgan Stewart
I know, Roxine.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know you think, yeah, I tried to have a fake fight on camera.
Morgan Stewart
That's so funny. That's so. That is so you. To be like, we should definitely talk about it for real, but then later figure it out. But those were so. Those emotions at that time were so real.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know, but it was difficult.
Morgan Stewart
It was very hard. But I also think what you said about, like, we knew our relationship was not gonna sustain that show.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, I know.
Morgan Stewart
Because I think we went through ups and downs in our relationship prior to the show where it was like, we needed space or there was a lot of just craziness. Crazy, but so fun not to make it negative. And it's also very nice to look back and be enlightened about that time. Yeah.
Roxy Sowlaty
And I also feel like it's part of being young and finding yourself 100% and, like, finding your people and having a best friend you grew up with and, like, having to separate and, like, get married, and it's hard. And now make room for somebody else.
Morgan Stewart
Right. And now don't you feel like you have such a great grasp on your relationships?
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, totally. You have and, like, many more boundaries, don't you? You.
Morgan Stewart
It's very important for you to be boundaried.
Roxy Sowlaty
It's easy for me not to have boundaries with people.
Morgan Stewart
So then you get over. You feel like you. What does that do for you? Do you feel like you overextend yourself?
Roxy Sowlaty
Overextend, Overly involved.
Morgan Stewart
You're A fixer.
Roxy Sowlaty
I'm such a fixer. It's hard for me not to help people.
Morgan Stewart
Yes.
Roxy Sowlaty
I was like, wait, I don't need to help. I don't need to get involved in this, in everything. I don't need to help them fix
Morgan Stewart
this problem and then be consumed by it.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. And then, like, have no boundaries.
Morgan Stewart
Are you in therapy?
Roxy Sowlaty
Not really.
Morgan Stewart
Waste of time.
Roxy Sowlaty
Not as much. No. I do. I did it. I'm just not doing as much right now.
Morgan Stewart
I'm so over it.
Roxy Sowlaty
Nick and I go like, once a month.
Morgan Stewart
Jordan is not into therapy. We've never gone to therapy together. And I think it's very healthy and a really great thing to do.
Roxy Sowlaty
It's so great. It helps us so much.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. To be able to communicate.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. It's like, it just, like, levels it up.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. I guess, like, as long as things go my way, I'm fine.
Roxy Sowlaty
Oh, my God. But with kids, it's hard. Kids.
Morgan Stewart
I have such a tainted view on kids because we're so like. I'm like, well, is it hard? I'm so fortunate my mom is helping. Your mom is helping so much.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah.
Morgan Stewart
We have involved grandparents. I have. Have nannies, two nannies that split up days. But it's gotten harder as they've gotten older because I'm like, they want you, they want us. I want to be there. I want to raise them. I don't want someone else raising them. And just. Even the things that your system has to deal with so early in the morning, like, if a kid is screaming and crying, you're like, bijou wakes up
Roxy Sowlaty
at 5am and she's like, good morning. In the whole house. I'm like, can I have one more hour to sleep?
Morgan Stewart
Are you getting up at five every morning?
Roxy Sowlaty
Six. She's up at five. I'm like, please stay in your room till six and get me at six. She's like, okay.
Morgan Stewart
Okay. So what time is she going to bed?
Roxy Sowlaty
7. 7:30.
Morgan Stewart
5:00 clock in the morning. I'm getting up at 6:45. 7:00 clock in the morning. I can't get up at 5 o'.
Roxy Sowlaty
Clock.
Morgan Stewart
I'm having hormonal imbalance. I need to drink, eat my split protein, which I sold out.
Roxy Sowlaty
This is a gross thing.
Morgan Stewart
This is the only reason I'm able to do this right now.
Roxy Sowlaty
What is it?
Morgan Stewart
It's fat and protein.
Roxy Sowlaty
But I told avocado and eggs no.
Morgan Stewart
I didn't have time. I was a businesswoman today and I sold it from under myself on the Internet. Now I Can't get any. So now we had three at my office. So I've been sucking them down like I'm paying rent.
Roxy Sowlaty
Ew, disgusting. Why don't you order Erewhon Delivery?
Morgan Stewart
Roxy, I cannot do error.
Roxy Sowlaty
Oh, do you go to erewhew1?
Morgan Stewart
No. I fucking hate Erewhon.
Roxy Sowlaty
I do too. But I love Erwin. What do you do? I love it. I hate going there.
Morgan Stewart
It is like a Sims grocery store
Roxy Sowlaty
and everyone's in alo Yoga.
Morgan Stewart
Really? What are you doing for workout?
Roxy Sowlaty
Not. It's crazy. I need to work out again.
Morgan Stewart
Really?
Roxy Sowlaty
What are you doing?
Morgan Stewart
Going to the gym.
Roxy Sowlaty
The gym?
Morgan Stewart
Lifting weights.
Roxy Sowlaty
You're lifting weights?
Morgan Stewart
Can you believe that?
Roxy Sowlaty
Why?
Morgan Stewart
I have no fucking idea.
Roxy Sowlaty
Why don't you do Pilates?
Morgan Stewart
I don't want to be in a group. Actually.
Roxy Sowlaty
Also can. There is this great gym. This guy Fidel owns it next to Croft Alley. Not Craft Alley. What's it called? Bravo Toast.
Morgan Stewart
Have you been to Bravo Toast?
Roxy Sowlaty
I don't like going there by like ordering it.
Morgan Stewart
I've never had it.
Roxy Sowlaty
It's good. It's just the bread's just really thick. Avocado toast, every kind of toast. There's like a Nutella and like ricotta. You don't like cheese? Do you still not eat cheese?
Morgan Stewart
I hate cheese.
Roxy Sowlaty
You still don't eat cheese?
Morgan Stewart
No cheese.
Roxy Sowlaty
But you eat pizza.
Morgan Stewart
That's it. But no cheese in the burrito.
Roxy Sowlaty
Insane.
Morgan Stewart
No Parmesan.
Roxy Sowlaty
The cheese and the burrito is the same as it melted cheese on the pizza. It's melted.
Morgan Stewart
It's different consistency for me. I can't do it. And I don't like Parmesan at all. And my kids, like Jordan started to put the Parmesan on this pasta. I was like, not in my house. Don't fucking piss me off.
Roxy Sowlaty
No, the kids don't have Parmesan in their pasta.
Morgan Stewart
No, I'm not feeding into that culture.
Roxy Sowlaty
Oh my God.
Morgan Stewart
No way. They don't eat it if I don't like it. They don't need to like it. Rose started to get this, like orange cheese slices. I'm like, what is going on?
Roxy Sowlaty
You can have that Tillamook. Whatever. My kids are obsessed with those.
Morgan Stewart
Is that what it? Why is that in my house?
Roxy Sowlaty
They like it. Whatever other snack do you want to give them cucumbers all day?
Morgan Stewart
You know, I'm like Persian. All we do is cucumbers. Ro is obsessed with cucumbers.
Roxy Sowlaty
I like pre cut ones this much. Big in my fridge at all times. It's in their lunchbox every Day. Do you make your kids lunchbox?
Morgan Stewart
Yes.
Roxy Sowlaty
You do?
Morgan Stewart
I do.
Roxy Sowlaty
You pack it yourself?
Morgan Stewart
Yep.
Roxy Sowlaty
Wow.
Morgan Stewart
Not every day, but I do.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, same.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, I really do. And then I pick them up and drop them off as much as possible, but I am, like, as fast as I can get rid of the nanny, I do. So, like, I have her leave right when I'm home. I do the weekends. Like, last weekend, I didn't have any nanny. Like, I just like to be with them without someone. Also having someone around all the time. Get the fuck out of my face. It's hard.
Roxy Sowlaty
I know.
Morgan Stewart
Okay, so. So I'm gonna give you some rapid fired questions.
Roxy Sowlaty
Okay.
Morgan Stewart
Are you excited?
Roxy Sowlaty
Mm.
Morgan Stewart
We had so much to catch up on. Okay, who was the biggest diva on set, you or me?
Roxy Sowlaty
You.
Morgan Stewart
You think so?
Roxy Sowlaty
Diva.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. Was I a diva?
Roxy Sowlaty
I'm so easygoing.
Morgan Stewart
I'm easygoing.
Roxy Sowlaty
You are not easygoing.
Morgan Stewart
What was I difficult about? Glam?
Roxy Sowlaty
Everything.
Morgan Stewart
But I was always polite.
Roxy Sowlaty
You were polite, but you were difficult.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, I was not difficult. I was specific.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, but you needed the attention.
Morgan Stewart
Okay, what's one outfit you regret from rich kids? Do you remember or in general?
Roxy Sowlaty
There's so many.
Morgan Stewart
There was a lot of pink, fluffy stuff.
Roxy Sowlaty
I was worried about everything. Pink? You made fun of me wearing pink. Now you wear pink.
Morgan Stewart
I love pink.
Roxy Sowlaty
Like, that first, like, bandeau ugly topshop skirt I wore for the first episode. Hideous.
Morgan Stewart
I mean, I literally looked like I was smoking meth. Like, had no hair on my head. The makeup. Who took the longest to get ready?
Roxy Sowlaty
I feel like they're both pretty quick.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, quick, right. Well, I was a dog, so it didn't take long. Who is more dramatic, me or you?
Roxy Sowlaty
You, Roxy. Am I more dramatic? I don't know.
Morgan Stewart
You're more. You are triggered by feeling any sort of, like, oppression. Like, if you feel like you're being wronged, you, like, get very, like, fiery about it. No, like, you get really emotionally heated about stuff, and then you come back down. But we both have fire moons, so I'm Gemini Sun. You're Gemini sun. You're Aquarius rising. I'm Virgo rising. And then I'm Aries moon, and you're Leo Moon. So we both have fire moons and air suns. Our risings are what are.
Roxy Sowlaty
So I'm dramatic? Yeah, I guess I'm dramatic.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah.
Roxy Sowlaty
Not dramatic if things go wrong.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, emotional. Who would survive longer on a survival show?
Roxy Sowlaty
Me.
Morgan Stewart
100%. If our friendship had a tagline, what would it be?
Roxy Sowlaty
Ooh, I don't know.
Morgan Stewart
Perkins and Booze.
Roxy Sowlaty
Perkins and booze.
Morgan Stewart
I'll gag on this fucking mic. Are they paying me the big bucks yet? I can't even. I'm not. This $4 I'm getting, I was like, keep the money. Perkins and booze. And then what else? Gemini soul sisters or Gemini soul sisters. Gemini soul sisters. Okay. One word to describe our relationship.
Roxy Sowlaty
Then it was just messy. Messy.
Morgan Stewart
Messy.
Roxy Sowlaty
I think it's messy.
Morgan Stewart
Okay. Messy. It was so messy.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah. But fun.
Morgan Stewart
So fun. One word to describe our relationship now. Gray. No.
Roxy Sowlaty
Yeah, gray. Gray's a great one.
Morgan Stewart
It's gray because there's a draw and there's a connection, but it's not sought through. It's not sought after. It's not.
Roxy Sowlaty
I think it's peaceful. I'd give it the word peaceful. I think it's nice.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah, it's nice.
Roxy Sowlaty
I can call you and it's like, you're my friend. You'll always be my friend. There's less expectations.
Morgan Stewart
Yes.
Roxy Sowlaty
And, like, finding our way.
Morgan Stewart
Yeah. I think we need to make it a little more concrete. Or not. I just get twitched out.
Roxy Sowlaty
Oh, my God.
Morgan Stewart
But, you know, I'm fine. Fine. Those are all your rapid questions.
Roxy Sowlaty
Concrete.
Morgan Stewart
It's concrete. You know what I mean? Yeah. You're so.
Roxy Sowlaty
Why can't it can be and not be?
Morgan Stewart
This is the Aquarius in you.
Roxy Sowlaty
They're like.
Morgan Stewart
And I'm like, what is it like? I'm like the Virgo. Like, where are we? I'm like, are you marrying me or not marrying me?
Roxy Sowlaty
Oh, my God.
Morgan Stewart
No. I think we're in a good spot. How do you feel about our interview?
Roxy Sowlaty
I think good.
Morgan Stewart
I think it was great.
Roxy Sowlaty
I think it was fun. I think people are gonna be, like, excited to put like a. A period on the sentence.
Morgan Stewart
A period on the. That's it. That's final. Thank you so much for coming on.
Roxy Sowlaty
Right?
Morgan Stewart
Yeah.
Roxy Sowlaty
I love you. It was so fun.

In this candid and nostalgia-rich episode, Morgan Stewart welcomes her longtime friend and former "Rich Kids of Beverly Hills" co-star, Roxy Sowlaty Bijan. The two discuss their friendship spanning two decades, the messy highs and lows of their 20s, and the infamous fallout that fractured their relationship for years. Now reunited as mothers and adults, Morgan and Roxy look back on their journey with humor and honesty, grappling with how far they’ve come—and what “friendship” looks like in their current lives.

– Roxy Sowlaty (31:25)

– Morgan Stewart (32:20)
Biggest regret:
"I should have just, like, chilled the fuck out, let us play..."
– Morgan Stewart (38:15)
On motherhood:

Defining the friendship today:
“It’s peaceful...there’s less expectations.”
– Roxy Sowlaty (46:12)
