I'm from New York.

Well, you know, to me, it was a surprise. To me, it was a big shocker. You know, I went to college, and I went to Carleton, which is in Minnesota. Small liberal art school. Very, very.

Oh, my God. I love that for you. Okay.

[Elisa Kelly]

I went to. So I studied art history. I was working in the art world. I was living in Los Angeles. I had moved to Los Angeles.

[Morgan Stewart]

Okay.

[Elisa Kelly]

And I was finding myself, like so many people do in their early twenties, very dissatisfied, very confused. I. My boyfriend at the time, who was from la, was, like, living a double life. I was break. I was, like, getting fired. He was breaking up with me. I was breaking up with him. My roommate left and moved to Big Bear. So then I had no roommate. It was just, like, I was in such. My life was in such disarray. And I was like, what the hell is happening? Like, what is going on?

[Morgan Stewart]

Okay.

[Elisa Kelly]

So, like, an. Like, a normal, abnormal person. I was like, well, let me look to see what's going on astrologically. Okay. And it clicked so much that I never stopped. Like, that was truly. And, like, there's a lot more to it. My friend and I from college started an astrology dating app in 2013 because we were millennials who believed that we could do anything.

[Morgan Stewart]

I understand that.

[Elisa Kelly]

So, yeah, I think we can, by the way. Yeah, I know. I mean, I always have millennial core hope.

[Morgan Stewart]

Yeah.

[Elisa Kelly]

Like, flowing through my veins. The writing was on the wall for a long time because I was always a spooky kid.

[Morgan Stewart]

Okay, you're just spooky, like, in a good way. But you look mystical to me.

[Elisa Kelly]

Yeah. I mean, and I've always looked this way. Like, this is just. You know, I've had a very consistent style my whole life.

[Morgan Stewart]

Yep.

[Elisa Kelly]

So, you know, and I was one of those kids who was like, during a sleepover, I was like, let's do Ouija board. And every parent was like, we're not having Elisa over again. Like, she's too much. Too much for the household. So, like, I think everyone who knew me probably was like, oh, this trajectory makes a ton of sense, but I'm a Capricorn Rising.

[Morgan Stewart]

Oh, my God.

[Elisa Kelly]

I need. So I was like, I need respect. I need to be respected in this world. And I knew I'm no fool, that astrologers are very stigmatized. You know, I knew that if I fully committed to this path that I was going to spend my whole life proving that I was smart, proving that I was a critical thinker, proving that I was like a meaningful, capable person who wasn't just like, trying to heal things with, you know, Palo Santo. Palo Santo. And it was like. And it took all of my 20s and until after my Saturn return to finally commit to recognizing that I could handle that. That I could handle a life of constantly being sort of like, judged.

[Morgan Stewart]

Don't you feel like astrology as of late has really come into its own? Like, I feel like astrology is like a topic for everybody. Everyone is always asking about astrolog. And it wasn't like that, I think 10 years ago.

[Elisa Kelly]

No, it wasn't.

[Morgan Stewart]

It wasn't as intense or extensive. Right. It was like I knew I was a Gemini my whole life. Beyond that, I had no idea.

[Elisa Kelly]

Yeah. I mean, and you know, not to like, not to flex. But I think that a lot of the work that I was doing me and you know, some of my contemporaries were some of the reason that astrology is in the zeitgeist flex all day, you know.

[Morgan Stewart]

Oh, I'm the same way. I'm like, why do you think, you know about those sunglasses guys? Because of me. But nobody tracks it back to me.

Can I Tell you something. That's so witchy. My first. First and longest childhood friend is named Tallulah. Oh, really? How do you spell it?

This is the third Tallulah I know now. Really? Yeah. A friend of mine, my friend Ruthie, had a baby. She named her Tallulah. My childhood friend Tallulah. And now you're Tallulah.

Tallulah's a very strong name.

Yeah. And I feel like, you know, when we knew that Tallulah was gonna be a Sagittarius, when that, like, locked in when we saw the Scorpio come and go, I was like, this is a Tallulah.

My friend Tallulah is a Scorpio.

I have never done this before, so if I totally fuck up, then, you know, we'll have to just, like, pivot and start over. And there is this essence of, like, excitement and passion and play that you have in your chart. And at the same time, as a new soul living in an old soul world, I feel like some of the challenges of your chart are feeling like you can't just do what you want to do without consequence. Yeah, so it's very important. I mean, but it's all part of the lifestyle, right? Yeah, it's the aspirational, but it's also relatable.

And it's also like you doing, saying and doing and living your truth encourages and inspires other people. I swear to you, when you post this, you're gonna get so many comments being like, yes, girl, that is why I love you. I love you because I wanna be you. But I also feel like I am you. You know, Like, I get you and I get your struggles and I get your honesty. And the more that you give that. And then you also encourage people to find that for themselves. Like, you are very good at being so disarming that you can have someone on your show who is a very tough nut to crack.

It's unbelievable to me genuinely, that you can see all of this, all of what you just said. Like, you basically have nailed me completely based on just placements of planets.
