If you crave more than the ordinary, this is the night to step inside it. Tickets are available now atstrange and extraordinaryfest.com over the last several episodes we've been piecing together the story of Moonshine Bar and Grill through decades of first hand experiences from owners, staff, former employees and contractors. Again and again the same pattern surfaced. Mischievous activity in the upstairs offices, glass objects moving and breaking, unexplained injuries and presences tied to experiences in the offices, the Kinfolk Speakeasy, the patio bar and and the Sunday house. When we finally entered the property with our psychic team, each medium kept completely blind and separate, many of their impressions echoed what staff had described. Jeffrey repeatedly encountered an aggressive male presence throughout the property, first around the patio bar, then later in and around the upstairs office area. He described this energy as loud, confrontational and at times yelling get out. Nearly identical to one of the most frightening experiences a staff member had shared from that same space. Kate independently picked up on a darker male energy moving between the patio bar and the Sunday house loft areas where multiple people had reported feeling watched or uncomfortable. She also remotely saw a similar male presence through one of our experiments in Kinfolk, where the male was standing over the staff in the upstairs office, watching them and making them feel uneasy. Sarah also picked up on a shadow presence in Kinfolk, again male as well as a more aggressive and oppressive male energy in the upstairs offices. What made her impressions more difficult to interpret was that she saw this male presence tied to a former female employee, someone she felt may have been his sister in life, making it unclear whether this was one entity or multiple presences at play. There were also reports of female presences from both Sarah and Jeffrey, and interestingly, they were located in similar areas, the upstairs office stairway and the main dining area of Moonshine. While their perceived ages varied, both agreed there was a younger female energy that felt playful and mischievous in Jordan and Devin's upstairs office, which aligned with their experiences. Another female presence was felt roaming the outside stairs and into the main dining area, aligning with unexplained noises and footsteps that staff often hear, and a reported sighting by co owner Larry near the Kinfolk stairwell. There were many other findings I can only briefly touch on tonight. There was the calm, intelligent male presence connected to Kinfolk, described as non threatening and observant, who may have been the man in the portrait, possibly A previous restaurant owner named Dennis. Sarah encountered a mischievous teenage boy who may be responsible for some of the more dangerous accidents at Moonshine. And Kay picked up on Henry in Kinfolk's tasting room, whose communication during our experiment strongly aligned with the property's original owner, Henry Hoffines. Lastly, there was a strange inconsistency in the Sunday house loft between all three psychics. Jeffrey saw what appeared to him to be a little boy, but felt it truly wasn't a child, possibly something projecting as one. Instead, Sarah saw a little girl, but she said she felt confused and slightly deceived by the presence. Meanwhile, Kate believed the darker male shadow energy we mentioned earlier was hiding up in that space. Not everything lined up cleanly, as you can see. Some impressions challenged the existing lore. Some raised more questions than answers, and some felt like pieces of a larger puzzle we hadn't quite yet solved. But one presence continued to surface again and again. This oppressive male energy near the upstairs offices. The same area tied to disembodied footsteps and a voice that once screamed for a staff member to leave the building. During our first investigation, both Jeffrey and Kate independently and repeatedly received the name John. It surfaced numerous times and seemed directly connected to this darker, more confrontational male energy moving through the property, particularly in and around the upstairs office area. During our second overnight investigation, Jeffrey and Sarah returned to focus more deeply on that presence. New experiments heightened the activity, and more details began to emerge around who or what might be connected to those upstairs experiences. Still, clarity remained just out of reach for us. And while Catherine, the former owner many believe still watches over Moonshine, remained central to the building's lore, she had yet to clearly present herself during any of our investigations. So tonight we return for one final overnight, this time joined by longtime employee Jordan, who believes Catherine may be especially drawn to her presence. With Kate and Jeffrey back alongside the team, our goal tonight is simple. Test what's been developing. Focus on this oppressive male energy. See if Catherine would make herself more clearly known with Jordan here, and see whether the pieces finally begin to come together. One last night, one last chance for answers. This final investigation took place on Sunday, January 18th. After moonshine closed for the night and the last of the staff finished cleaning up and headed out, we were once again given full access to the entire property. The only ones staying behind were Jordan, who'd been closely tied to this case from the beginning, and another closing staff member named Brittany, who was intrigued enough by everything unfolding that she decided to stay as well. So you may hear her voice at different points throughout this night, we set up our base camp in the Sunday house as the rest of the team arrived. With us tonight were psychic mediums Jeffrey and Kate, investigative lead Alexis and his partner Alejandro, tech specialists Franklin, longtime friends of the show, who you will remember, Ray and Kevin of Royal Legion Tattoo, and of course, myself. Sarah, sadly, wasn't feeling well and couldn't make it out for a final night. Ray and Kevin were here because they were actually going to document the night using vintage film cameras, shooting everything on old school film and developing it by hand in their tattoo shop. A completely different way of capturing what might unfold tonight. And Franklin had built something new specifically for this investigation. A custom digital spirit communication device inspired by the traditional Frank's box. By this point, our episodes, Parts 1 through 3 of the Moonshine series had already been released. But the previous overnight investigation with Jeffrey and Kate had not yet gone public. That distinction matters because the very first investigation was designed to be completely blind. No location details, no history, no reports, allowing our psychics to explore the space without any outside influence. From here on out, that level of control simply isn't possible. Once episodes are released and information is out in the world, there's no reliable way to ensure that it hasn't been heard or absorbed, intentionally or not. So rather than pretend this final night could remain uninfluenced, we shift to our approach. As we do on most cases going into this investigation, Jeffrey and Kate were encouraged to get caught up on what we had already been documenting. The staff experiences, the earlier findings and the patterns that had begun to emerge tonight wasn't about staying blind. It was about testing what had developed, pushing deeper into the most active areas and seeing whether those threads would hold under closer examination. Revisiting the spaces that stood out, testing the patterns that had begun to form and and focusing directly on the presences that kept resurfacing, especially the oppressive energy tied to the upstairs offices and possibly kinfolk in the Sunday house. We began immediately with a controlled dual Gansfeld hybrid session, placing both Jeffrey and Kate as conduits down in Kinfolk, the basement speakeasy. The goal was to see whether two separate mediums, working simultaneously under sensory limitation, would begin tapping into the same presence, especially the oppressive energy that had been developing in earlier investigations. With the closing staff still cleaning up, we moved everyone down into Kinfolk, where it was isolated and quieter. You may hear some music upstairs in the background. On this first session, both mediums were fitted with Gansfeld goggles and noise canceling headphones, playing loud white noise, ensuring they couldn't hear or see one another or anything happening around them. We're in kinfolk. We're just going to begin a session with Kate and Jeffrey.
C
I'm seeing a woman who looks like.
D
There's a whole bunch of people around us, like, looking down, like, watching everything we're doing.
C
She looks tall, but I think it's. Her posture is tall.
A
So Kate's getting a woman.
C
He's not down here. The Sunday house.
A
We're trying to communicate with any spirit that might be more predominant in this speaking area.
C
There's someone grabbing my hands,
D
Someone shaking, grabbing them, throwing things. It feels like it's a woman. She's not. It's not violent. She's just so frustrated that she shakes things and she throws things.
A
Okay, so they both simultaneously are getting a woman now, which we haven't gotten down here. Can you come through and tell us who you are?
D
She's crying a little bit.
C
Jeffrey, I'm sitting in the back. Henry,
A
want to talk to the woman again?
C
Yes, sometimes. But it can be many things in the upstairs.
D
It's like the woman was more emotional when she was younger. The older she got, the more stern.
C
And I keep seeing somebody pouring a drink.
D
Unemotional business, like she got.
C
No, that's not me.
D
She ran a tight.
C
Shit, Henry.
A
Okay, we got two possible spirits coming through. The female.
C
I know this person.
D
Just walking around.
C
Nothing.
D
She doesn't miss a face. She sees everything.
A
So let's get clear on who we're talking to. We heard Henry. We heard Catherine.
C
There's a man standing here. I'm trying to get him to get closer.
D
The man watches her. She watches everything from the barn. Vicki's kind of jealous of her.
A
Who's the man? This is Jeffrey. This is Kate. For the male spirit.
C
It feels like there's a lot of people standing here. There's a girl here, there's a woman here, a man here.
D
But ultimately she's more powerful.
C
This man is also talking to Jeffrey. The woman is trying to speak. It's hard for them to actually hear me.
D
He wants to be in charge, but she really is the one in charge.
C
But they cannot hear me.
A
What did she say? What did she say?
E
They see me and hear me, but they cannot feel me.
C
There's something going on here that is worrying me and the people I have behind me. I feel in charge. I am in charge here. Who is this in the kitchen? That was no accident.
D
He's very angry. He's the one who's stomping and banging on Doors.
C
I just saw a shadow go across.
D
He tried to intimidate people, but not her.
C
He doesn't want to be caught, she says.
D
I don't want him here anymore.
A
Yeah. Okay. This is a conversation that's definitely happening between.
C
You described him.
A
Describe him more.
C
This is me, Catherine, or the woman
D
I don't want back. Now.
C
There's another man standing, stepping forward.
A
Try to tell us who this man is.
C
I heard the name Henry. I asked him if it was Dennis. He said, no, Henry.
A
Henry was very positive.
E
Yeah.
A
So, Henry.
C
I'm established here.
A
So, Henry, are you. Are you causing problems, or is that someone else?
D
It belonged to my father.
A
That's. Catherine is her father. Henry is her father. So Henry can't be the spirit that Katherine's upset about, is it?
C
Henry likes to hang out towards the back.
A
Yeah, he's out over there in the tasting room.
D
Right.
C
Quiet but present.
A
Is he the same male that the female presence is not happy with?
C
I keep to myself.
A
So it's not as different.
E
Somebody else.
A
Henry's different.
E
Yeah.
A
For the woman that was here.
C
Can you hear me?
A
For the woman that was here earlier. Can you come back? Jeffrey's getting children.
C
He just went. Is this thing on?
A
Who is that?
C
I like when people talk to me.
A
Is this Henry? Let's talk to Henry, and let's talk to the woman.
C
Horses.
A
What about this other male that y' all were not happy with? Who's.
C
That's not me.
D
Okay.
A
I don't think it's you, Henry. But who's this other guy?
C
He's not in here right now.
D
A girl at a table, eating. Maybe a girl and a boy. She says they're not mine. I wish they were.
C
There's something here at this door. He's bringing it to my attention.
A
Who's he?
C
Somebody coming in. And I feel nauseous.
D
Like it when accidents happen.
A
So, for the woman.
C
Yes. You asked for me?
A
Yeah, I'm trying to find out.
C
Look at all of the things that I can do.
A
Do something. We've been here forever, Ray.
E
Like, right behind me.
A
Shoot behind me.
D
There's more upstairs.
A
Shadow, now that we have you here, talk to us.
C
He's not talking. He's just staring.
A
So we've come here to actually find out who you are. That's the whole purpose of today.
C
Somebody's walking back and forth like this. I can actually feel them moving through my body. It's very cold. It's very cold.
A
Jeffrey's feeling something.
C
Where did you come from? Wouldn't you like to know I feel
D
like someone is standing here, but they keep backing away. It's the tall man.
C
The ships, but they weren't really straight
A
streets for the shadow. Who are you?
C
Who am I to say?
A
Do you go upstairs to the office?
C
I feel an urge in my body to like, tip the table over. He is very influential of what people are feeling.
A
Might pull him out and ask him some questions upstairs. I just asked if he goes upstairs.
C
But there's a portal I come through through that.
D
I know I keep seeing the office upstairs.
A
That's what I just said too. So take us there for the. For the male presence. Are you the same person that's upstairs? Are you different?
C
I keep to myself as much with the long skirts.
D
Keeps walking up the stairs toward the office.
C
Me, I push back harder.
A
So he saw a woman with the skirt going up the stairs. Does the name John mean anything to you?
C
Yes.
A
Is that your name? John? I think I found your name out.
C
He's showing. Playing with the electronics. He's showing that there's going to be a lot of interference. I'm just here to have fun.
A
We'll have you come out for a second. There were a few significant things that happened almost immediately during this first session in Kinfolk. Both Jeffrey and Kate began picking up on a female presence right out of the gate. One that could very possibly have been Catherine. Kate even called out that name directly. Now, as I mentioned earlier, by this point the psychics had heard the previous episodes and were fully caught up on the case, except for the last investigation, as I mentioned. So there's no illusion here that certain names or historical details would be unknown to them. They also know that I know. So when a name like Catherine is mentioned, it's not presented as some surprising blind hits. It's simply part of what they're perceiving in the moment. And we evaluate it within that context. That said, there was something important about this moment. Jordan was with us tonight and she was down here in Kinfolk for this session. And I never told either medium why she was joining us tonight. I didn't suggest focusing on her. And I never shared the theory that Catherine might be more drawn to her specifically. All they knew was that this employee was here to simply observe and. And help close up when we wrap up for the night. So the fact that both mediums immediately honed in on Catherine's energy independently and at the same exact time under the experiment stood out to me. Beyond that, three distinct presences seemed to come through during this session. A female presence that could be Catherine. A male figure connected to her, who may have been her father, Henry, and that same elusive, heavier male energy that we'd encountered on multiple nights, the one tied to darker activity and possibly the upstairs offices. After this dual session ended, I separated the mediums, as I always do, so they could walk me through what they had experienced without influencing one another. Yeah, obviously it was kind of different because what I was. We've been getting down here has never been like a woman. So what happened with the presences that you felt?
C
I was so surprised to feel her.
F
So.
A
So what was the differences between the. All the spirits that you did feel come through? Because I. We got a woman, got a shadow. There was Henry. But was Henry the shadow or they were separate?
C
No, they're separate.
A
Okay.
C
So I felt four spirits in particular, and I could feel them standing around me. So there was a little girl right here. She didn't talk. I mean, I just felt her. There was a woman who stood more here, and I was honestly really scared, surprised to hear her come through first, because from the moment we walked in the door, it was very masculine. Feeling like there was a man there. He was ready to come in. I felt him tapping on me, like, waiting, waiting, waiting to get going. And then once it got started, I was looking for him and woman. And I could see her silhouette more than her features. She had very good posture. So to me, it would, like, she would look tall to me, probably because I have poor posture. Really good posture. I see her standing, like, at the top of the stairs. It was also really interesting because it was a lot of visual stuff. Last time I was under, it was very auditory, like, I was hearing the sentences coming through. But this was very visual for her. It feels important to address what. Whatever this nefarious thing is. She wants him out of the building. She doesn't believe that he belongs here. She wants to push him out because she thinks that people are in danger because he is around.
A
And then what did you get on that nefarious. Did he come through? Was he just shot?
C
He came through at the end. And I literally felt him, like, walking in and out of me. But he felt, he's not the same as Henry. They're two separate people. He wanted to make it a point that that's not him. I kept hearing him say, that's not me. That's not me. And I expected him to come through.
A
Yeah, I.
C
That's what I expect. I did not expect it to be the woman. I fully expected it to be Henry. And I do remember I didn't remember that it was Henry, but I remember having that conversation in here. How clear it came through.
A
Yeah.
C
I think this is where he talks the most.
A
Yeah, because you came in here to talk to him.
C
Because you asked.
A
You said, I can't hear out here. I need to bring him in here. We're trying to track this shadow down. The shadow is being felt by all three psychics.
C
He comes from upstairs.
A
There was a spirit that we always felt a little uncomfortable with. And you were seeing him as a more modern day male presence. You had also said things deceased, deceased. He looked deceased. He would hang out in the upstairs. You saw him in the upstairs offices watching the staff. Now, is there any connection to that in the shadow, or is it different?
C
I really want to say no. It feels separate to me. But the thing is, this shadow can manifest different energies and things like that. So that's why I'm like. But to me, it does feel separate. Okay, I know. I do. I think the shadow goes up there. Yes. But I think the deceased man was more Adolph, who is here, but not, like, talking. So I think it was him by the office that looked deceased, more modern, because I'm, like, looking at him. And it's more like a businessy attire, but it's separate from the shadow.
A
Let's see what Jeffrey has to say about this. Is there anything else that came through in there that we need to know, that we need?
C
Catherine really is almost like getting nervous about it. I can feel it.
A
What is she nervous about? Do you know? Did you just feel it?
C
She's saying that he's learning to do more. Like, he's learning more. He's learning how to manipulate more. He's learning how to.
A
The shadow.
C
Yeah.
A
Okay, well, keep digging. At this point, the darker, more oppressive male presence was still eluding Kate. What she was beginning to feel, however, was a distinction between that heavier shadow energy and the male presence she'd been sensing connected to the upstairs offices, the one she'd previously described as watching staff from above. Now that she'd absorbed some of the case, Kate felt strongly that the upstairs male was Adolf, Katherine's husband. From what I could recall, however, she never experienced this presence as angry or aggressive. Nothing like the confrontational energy Jeffrey has been encountering. So naturally, I wanted to pull Jeffrey aside next, privately, away from Kate, to hear what he had picked up during the session. Just kind of break it down for us is like, what was. What was in there? What were you picking up?
D
Mostly images.
A
It was.
D
I did hear some things, which I repeated.
A
Yeah.
D
But I definitely saw the. When I was here, here the first time, remember I told you I saw a young woman walking around, like, in the front area, like the main doors. I think she was showing herself.
A
When she was young.
D
She was like a sister. But then I think this was the same woman, but older. And she was. She's walking around looking over everything. Nothing. She sees everything. She says she runs a tight ship. And then the man was taller than she was, and there was, like, some anger. He was like that. I think he's the angry guy that was making all the noise and yelling and stuff when I first came. And I think it's because she's the one. I think it's the. The one that, like, actually inherited the place. And her husband wanted to be in charge, but ultimately she was, because it was hers. And so I think that's where that conflict came from, that. His anger. But so I was seeing images of that. And then I did see some kids, like two kids sitting at a table, and she was bringing them food, but she was like, these aren't mine. I wish they were. And then I just kept seeing the upstairs office, the stairs going up.
A
Okay.
D
A lot. But I did hear some stuff. But again, it was. Everything was kind of distracting.
A
Yeah.
D
But most of the images I got were of those two.
A
Okay. And then what about the. The male presence? Did you get anything more from him?
B
Like what.
A
What he was like or his mannerisms or his demeanor? Is it different from you said the angry man upstairs? Was it?
D
Well, I think it might be the same.
A
Same person.
D
Person.
A
Yeah.
D
He was taller than she was, but he was. He was just always in a sour mood because things weren't the way he wanted them to be.
A
Okay.
D
You know, and then I'm not sure who it was, but at first I think it may have been her. But I kept hearing, I don't like it when things are broken. I don't like it when things are noisy and messy and things like. I wonder if it's some of the glasses and the things that have fallen. I don't think they meant to do them in a violent way. I think it might just be her frustration, the energy of that trying to contact. And it manifested that way as opposed to, like a poltergeist that's like throwing stuff at you.
A
Yeah.
B
So.
D
So almost like, you know, she felt a little bad for the things that. That have happened.
A
Okay.
D
When things have been broken, you know, people have been hurt and stuff like that. I don't. They don't mean to do that.
F
Okay.
D
They don't mean to do that at all. He might. He just. He never had the. The personality or, you know, and it wasn't really his, but it was. It was definitely the same people.
A
Okay.
D
Definitely the same people.
B
So.
D
So I've seen her kind of in different ages.
A
Yeah.
D
And then with him again. He's kind of in shadow, but tall, in a suit, scowly face. But I didn't get a good look at their sharp features.
A
Okay, cool.
D
So much. But that was mostly it, though. It feels like there's. There's, like, more information up in the office. There's another puzzle piece. I kept seeing the. When you first walk in the. The little entryway.
A
Yeah. The first step in. Yeah.
D
Yeah. With the bathroom and the other. The office on the left. Yeah, but right there. But I think when we were here before, I was like, that's where, like, the noise was coming from. Like.
A
Yeah, you juggle. You jiggle the handle of the door and all that.
D
Yeah. So I kept seeing that. I kept seeing that they were like, come up here, come up here, come up here. It feels like there's more energy up there to read. I think it's the husband that screams and yells, you know, the one that I started yelling at people. What are you doing? And banging on the doors and stuff like that.
A
Okay.
D
Wanting. Wanting attention, maybe. I don't know.
A
Okay. Okay.
D
I've never gotten the feeling that any of them were like. Like when the. The guy got his hand cut, all that.
A
It.
D
It doesn't feel like anybody did that on purpose.
A
Okay.
D
It feels like it was energy out of control.
A
Okay.
D
So.
A
And it could have been either the female or the male energy that.
D
Yeah. I mean, she was the one apologizing for it. Yeah, I think. But when we first went under, it was. I could just see almost like we were in the Sunday house sitting, and there were faces, like 20 heads looking over. So there's just lots of. Maybe a lot of travelers, I don't know, but lots of attention. And then things started to clear up, and I focused in on those two.
A
Okay, cool. Some of Jeffrey's impressions had shifted as well. Like Kate, he now felt strongly that the female presence coming through was Catherine, the angry or yelling man he was now attributing to Adolf, Catherine's husband. What's interesting is how certain details overlapped in subtle ways. Jeffrey had always described this angry male presence as appearing in dark clothing, almost like a shadow, sometimes resembling a coat or a suit. Earlier, Kate had independently described the male she sensed in the upstairs offices as being dressed in a suit as well. It wasn't something I'd connected right away, but hearing both accounts back to back just made me pause. At the same time, there were still clear differences in how each of them experienced these energies. Jeffrey continued to associate the aggressive male presence primarily in the upstairs office, along with the exterior areas around the patio bar and Sunday house. That's where he originally picked up that energy. Meanwhile, the unsettling figure he'd sensed in the Sunday house loft still felt separate to him, something that appeared like a boy at first but wasn't a child at all. From the beginning, that presence carried a very different, eerie tone. Kate, on the other hand, felt distinctions between the upstairs Mel that she now believed was Adolf versus what she sensed in Kinfolk near the patio bar and in the Sunday house loft. She strongly believed they were entirely different presences. As you can tell, things were not lining up in a neat and simple way, but patterns were forming, and with each session, the story seemed to be getting more layered instead of clearer. It was time to push deeper. For our next dual session, we would venture to the space where so much of this activity had the upstairs office. Kate and Jeffrey were hooked up to our hybrid setup. Franklin was down in the Sunday house preparing his new device for our next attempt. The session began and the readings were coming in quickly for the two psychics.
D
Picking up on the little girl again. She likes to play. Catherine. Catherine.
C
Oh, you found me.
A
Who are you? So you sing Catherine over here?
E
Yeah.
D
She says she doesn't like it when the meme man bangs things. He scares her.
A
Where is he?
D
She says her name is Diana. But I'm. She could be playing.
A
This is Kate. This is Jeffrey.
E
To the spirits.
A
That might be.
C
Something about this isn't right. What are you doing here? This is my space.
D
Yeah, I'm seeing the man over at the door and he's just like, slamming it and kicking it. He's angry.
A
This is where the man was angry last time. And he kept saying the same. But Kate wasn't here for that. He was saying that this is his space.
D
The lady hears him, but she just smiles. She doesn't care.
C
I'm not hearing talking, but it's a lot of feelings. I feel his anger and it in turn is making my heart race because he's pushing that on.
D
I heard a deep voice, like, in my ear. I couldn't tell what he said, but it was a deep voice.
C
Step back. Step back.
A
We're here to communicate with this particular male. We don't know your name. I might know your name.
C
I'm trying to get in here, but he won't let me.
D
The woman says she lived her life here. She watched it grow.
C
Catherine. Catherine.
A
So, Catherine, we. If it is you, she doesn't like
D
some of the spirits here. She says, I don't know why they came here.
C
I'm just opening up kind of like a bubble for her energy to come through past his. Because he's not talking. He's making it like a wall that she can't get through.
D
The white thing needs to be gone. I think she knows it's not really a boy.
C
Underneath the ground.
D
The thing in the Sunday house.
A
Let's go back to the angry male presence. Katherine, if you're here, can you tell us who he is?
C
Human enough.
A
Who's the male presence, Katherine? We need to know.
C
I'm hearing him growl.
A
I'm gonna ask again. Is your name John?
C
The electronics give me life force.
A
It's a breaker at that end of the paper.
C
Problems with the printer.
A
Yeah, that's a common report here.
C
The air around me feels really warm.
D
I keep seeing an image of the street. The dirt street out front. And then it fades away. I'm not sure what they're trying to show me.
C
He can't talk to me. I won't listen, and I don't care.
A
That's what they said last time, remember?
C
He's walking around.
A
So this male won't talk to us.
C
He's amused by the lights. I just saw a left flashing light.
A
Katherine, you're stronger.
C
We don't like it. He walks from building to building. He sleeps in the Sunday house.
A
That's what Jeffrey was just saying, too.
C
Yes. You can hear him.
D
She doesn't like whatever it is in the Sunday house either. She won't go there.
C
He is dead. They're not the same.
A
So we need to talk about the presents in the Sunday house, then. If y' all are both picking up that Adolph again. So they're talking about Adolf.
C
This is Kathryn speaking.
A
So, Katherine, ask Jordan. Ask her some stuff about Adolf.
G
Kathryn, who's in the Sunday house.
D
I tell you, I want them gone. So they're. They're a lot of the spirits here. She doesn't want here.
C
I care.
A
So there's a repeating pattern that. There's a lot of spirits that don't belong here.
C
Both created and burned.
D
They make noise. They disturb things.
C
I grow as the stories grow. It's beautiful.
A
What's the truth? What's not stories?
C
You can't touch me. He can't touch me.
A
So. Catherine.
C
I have authority.
A
Okay, Catherine. Stephen. And forward.
C
There's. She's pointing at her palm.
A
What do we need to get rid of him? Katherine, what do we need?
C
When the roads closed, it brought more here. It disrupted the traffic and the flow. The pattern.
A
What about the angry male that was here earlier? What's in the Sunday house? Why do we need to focus on.
C
Pour him another drink. That's all he needs.
A
Adolph, are you here? Dutchy,
C
somebody just came in. Right here. Adolph. He says this is my office. I like to work Back here? No, they're different people.
A
Who are you?
C
I don't harm anyone. I really don't even talk to anyone. I'm here because I choose to be here.
A
So Duchy is not harming people? Not angry.
C
It's my family.
D
I feel like they're right here. They're just staring at me. Who's right here? The man and the woman.
C
Somebody just sat down.
A
Is it Kathryn and Dutchie?
D
They're not saying anything. They're just standing there.
C
It's not the little girl. It's me. More communication.
A
Is it Katherine?
C
You can hear me? You can hear me?
A
Catherine or Dutchie? Are y' all both here?
C
Not that I don't approve of what's going on in the building. It's the energy that is bothering me. It's supposed to move like this. And there's something moving it this way. Everything goes in a specific place. Everything goes where it needs to go.
D
I just keep flashing back again on the little girl. She's in a little. Dressed, no shoes.
C
She's like in the kitchen, in the pictures. Everyone has a place except for him.
A
Who's him? Are you talking about Dutchy or is he.
C
He does not belong.
A
Who's him? That's what we need to know.
C
Jeffrey.
A
Yeah, Jeffrey knows, too. He's been seeing him.
C
It, to me, feels like the shadows over by Jeffrey.
A
What did Jeffrey just say? Communicate through Jeffrey. If you.
C
He doesn't care if he's noticed, but he doesn't want to be banished.
A
We're not necessarily going to banish you. We just need to know who you are.
C
Where's Franklin?
A
He's coming. He's not. He's not here.
C
Come out to play.
A
He brought his toys. Yes, and he's going to play.
E
Oh, no.
C
I won't hurt him. I just want to talk
A
through the box that he built. You know, he made a toy just
C
upstairs, just to talk with you.
A
Should I fetch him?
C
I came in behind you. I don't need the doors. I can walk through the walls or the floors.
A
I don't know who this presence is. This is the one that comes through ancient.
C
But he is lying.
A
Yeah.
C
Remember, he's not being honest about.
A
Hold on one second.
C
Who he is. He wants to project himself as more.
A
Sorry. Jeffrey was coming out and I didn't want to share too much. Hold on to those thoughts. Yeah, yeah, no worries. There was a lot to unpack from this session as well. Overlapping impressions, shifting interpretations, and more questions than answers. But before trying to make sense of it all, I wanted to Hear from each medium individually without the other present again to understand exactly what they experienced in their own words. First up was Kate. Okay, is there a difference between Dutchy and the shadow male?
C
Who's Dutchy?
A
Adolf, you were saying? Yeah. Y' all said Adolf and Dutchy.
C
Okay. They're separate people. Something about who I was getting, the man I was getting.
B
Yeah.
C
I also want to say this, too. He looked like the decomposed man that I saw standing behind you.
A
You who?
C
Adolf. There's something about his particular energy that is tied specifically to the office. I have not seen him anywhere else at all.
A
But you did see him up here?
C
Yeah, I felt him come in. But when he came in, he came in the door. When the shadow came in, it was, like, up and down, and then he moved a lot. So also, there was one point where I felt him come in through this wall here. And then in my mind, I saw Jeffrey. And I saw, like, a shroud of, like, black around Jeffrey. Like, the shadow person over there. That was Katherine. That was when Kathryn was talking to me. And at first, she couldn't get in because he was, like, shrouding the communication. So I opened up, like, a light tunnel, basically, for her to step forward and say her piece, because it's almost like she's trying to tell on him, you know, like, this is what's actually happening because the shadow figure is lying. He lies. He said he was ancient. Lie. That's a lie. So I feel like Catherine is here to tell on this person to get him out. I feel like he was a man who died, but just as he grew uglier and uglier, it's like, there's a word for it, and I can't think of it. It's not demonic. It's just, like, nasty. Like, the shadow comes out, you know? And I think that's what has happened to him. I think he's been dead for a while. I mean, we all know I don't do time periods very well, but he has been gone long enough to change form almost. I asked, show me what he looks like in my mind's eye to see. And what I saw were, like, a death dog, like. Like the canine and, like, sharp teeth. But it's a lie. It's a projection. He's projecting.
A
Last question. Keep it quiet if you can. Sunday house.
C
Yeah.
A
What's that?
C
He sleeps in there. And what it looks like to me is people are mistaking that shadow for, like, raccoons or, like, little critters coming through. But it's Him. It's his energy. He lays dormant there until he's ready to come out and, like, play. Or if somebody comes in and they. He is like, oh, that's a dream target. Then he's going to step out, but he stays hidden in there. And I think the reason why is because it's considered such a sanctuary for, like, I don't know, the people. Like, it's such a safe zone that that's where he can hide safely. All of the other spirits are, like, trying to tell on him, and, like, they're trying to alert the staff is what it feels like.
A
Okay, have you sensed anything? When the shadow is around, is it preventing Catherine?
C
Yeah, I had to open it up so she could come in.
A
Okay.
C
And I don't know. It's not. I don't think she's. She doesn't feel afraid of him.
A
No, there's just an energetic block.
C
Yeah, I can feel it. It's like, let's say we made clear gelatin. That's how that would feel in between them. It's not a Plexiglas wall. It's more of, like, a gelatin kind of vibration. But clear. It's clear.
A
And in the male. Not Dutchy. Not. Not Adolf. Sorry, I call him by his name.
C
Okay.
A
So his nickname was Dutchy. So he's around 2.
C
He's around especially for his family, and
A
Catherine was his wife. But the. The darker male presence is shadow presence. Does he come up here? Okay, he does. Even though Dutchie kind of mostly resides up here. This was their house. This was their living.
C
Oh, yeah. You can tell the difference because Dutchie uses the doorways.
A
Okay.
C
That shadow does not use the doorways. Yeah. He came, like, almost seeping in.
A
Okay. I'm correct that this was the living quarter quarters, right? Yeah. Okay. Okay.
G
And as far as I know, the doors are pretty much like, in the original. Like, if they came through these. I think these, like, two exterior doors are pretty much if they came this
D
way in the same area.
C
Earlier, when I was asking you what this area was, I was remote viewing, asking Catherine to show me, like, and she took me up this up here. I saw the door clearly, like, okay, I'm gonna walk in this way. But the energy really sits here in this area mostly. And you can even, like, for me, I see things, like, lit up. This is, like a hot spot almost. And I think it's because of the electronics. On top of everything else, there's a
A
large breaker box right here in this wall.
C
Yeah. I feel like that shadow will come in here. Almost like a tap off for energy.
A
Okay. Jeffrey, can I. Could I interview you about that session real fast? Yeah. Interested to ask about something? Because the. The main place you really wanted to focus on when you were. Got here was the Sunday house loft. What are you getting about that space? Like what. What was coming through? Was there anything coming through for you
D
on your end in the loft?
A
Yeah. Yeah.
D
It was like this the first time we were here. There's that sort of shadowy little boy figure up there that. I'm not for sure that it's a little boy. Neither are they. I'm not sure what it is because I also felt the first time we were here, like, maybe like an old man kind of vibe too. But the little short, he was hiding
A
over in the corner.
D
And then, I mean, it came around and was like. Remember, it was coming up at me and I told it to stop, and that's when it went away. But tonight when we got here, I could. It felt like. It was like peeking down from the corners, you know, through the. Between the slats, you know, and the thing. It was like watching us. So felt like it was back up there. But when I was in here, especially the little girl, she was saying she didn't like that. Neither does the woman that I think is Catherine. They don't like that. Whatever that little boy thing is, she doesn't know why he's here. He doesn't. It's almost like he doesn't belong here or something.
A
Yeah. And then you got the figures that came up to you here.
D
They were standing there for a minute. Yeah. After I. I was getting a lot of images, more than words.
B
Okay.
D
And feelings, but especially from the little girl. And then from them.
A
Yeah. And I thought I heard you call out that that was Catherine.
D
I'm pretty sure it was. Yeah.
A
And the male was her husband. Her husband, you said. Right. Okay.
D
He's the angry guy.
A
So he's angry.
D
Yeah, I think he's. He was jealous. I mean, he wanted to. He tried to run things, but she was really the one running things, you know?
A
Okay.
E
So.
D
But, you know, he was a man, so he was supposed to be in charge or probably something like that. But there was the 10 tension between them, but it was almost like she kind of just ignored him and went about her business, which I think pissed him off even more, you know, but. And then it kept going back and forth from them. And then the little girl who was. She was in there earlier when we first got up here, playing in the back.
A
Officer.
D
Yeah. And I Kept seeing her in a little dress, no shoes. She liked to play and she. She knew that I was there. I was almost got an interaction with her when I was back there by myself earlier, but then she was like, okay, so she likes. She liked to play. She. She likes being here. But it wasn't their daughter. I don't know why she's here.
A
Okay.
D
But I kept hearing her singing things like London Bridge and stuff like that.
C
You know, la la la.
D
Little, Little sing song things.
A
Okay.
D
I think there's a lot of other stuff going on around here, but they're kind of like the three main ones that are anchored here and then whatever it is over in the Sunday loft. But as many people that came in and out of that building, it could have been an attachment or something.
A
I don't know. Okay. After that session had ended, Jeffrey stepped away to explore on his own for a bit. And I stayed behind in Jordan's office with Alexis and Jordan to talk through what we had just witnessed. There was a lot happening as you heard overlapping impressions and strange timing and patterns beginning to form. So we started to break it all
E
down when she was picking up on the spirit that's acting bigger for. Too big for its purchase.
A
Basically. Yeah.
E
I, in my mind said, well, if you keep that up, I can get rid of you. And immediately she was like, he can't talk to me like that. He can't say that to me or whatever. And then she said, like, you can't banish me. Or she said something along those lines. Yeah. And I was like, okay.
A
So. Yeah.
E
But it doesn't feel like anything dark. It just like she said, it feels like something that's pretending to be.
A
Yeah. Because it was saying it was ancient. And she was quickly saying, like, he's just trying to come off as like a evil.
E
Yeah.
A
So. But it's weird how Jeffrey saw the thing in the Sunday house. Then they were both saying, I'm in the same Sunday house.
E
Yes.
A
She then said that that's where it likes to sleep.
E
That's where it likes to sleep because it's quiet.
A
Yeah. But then I'm a little confused with the dutchie now coming into the picture because he was never in the picture.
E
I think Jeffrey's just getting them confused.
A
I think he's. He's definitely separating the two. Yeah. So I don't know if it's a little blurry for me with the two. Yavin had a whole lot in the Sunday house so that I remember nothing. Nothing real dark or scary. But she did say he's dormant there.
E
Yes. Right There was that one story about the girl who went in and she was like. I felt really uncomfortable.
A
She just said, something dark is there. She really hates that space and it's looking down at her all the time.
E
And then when we were here the first time with Franklin and he was
A
up there, he had a terrible experience.
C
Yeah.
A
Franklin got threatened. It was like really aggressively touching him. And he's our skeptic. He doesn't believe in that shit. So he was just like, what is happening? Happening to me up here? So we might need to do another session up there and wake it up and just see what the heck it is. I don't know what to do about it. I feel like it doesn't belong here. Catherine doesn't want it here.
E
I remember in the last few times when Sarah and. And Kate were here, they said that spirit moves with water.
A
The one down the. The shadow. Misty spirit. Yeah.
E
And then shadow mist moves.
A
This one's moving the same walls, goes to the floors.
E
Yeah. You know what I mean? So it's. It's. And she also said that basically it's here because it gets re. Energized. So I think that it's. It's kind of like it's learning.
G
Like.
E
She said that it's learning things.
A
Yeah. Catherine told Kate that. That she's scared because it's learning.
E
Yeah. So you get little bumps here and there and you know, stuff like that. But then it's like, well, what else can I do? How can I take this even further?
A
Yeah.
E
Kind of matches with what Sarah got last time with the whole like.
A
Well, Sarah was like, he keeps Catherine on the patio. Well, it wasn't Catherine. Sorry. Sarah never got Catherine. She named her as Sue. Yes. But she said there's a woman out here and she. She doesn't want this. This male energy here. But the male energy is like keeping her out there. So it's weird how she's getting similar vibes, but different names, obviously. But there's the same energy of this male shadowy presence that we cannot figure out that's very prominent all over for majority of the of the readings here. The only thing that was Jeffrey is he's separating him as an angry man and a misperception of a boy because she even says it's not a boy, but it's like projecting as a boy in the Sunday. And she was saying it pretends to be things. That's not. So that's what I'm saying. There's something weird about that presence. Don't get scared. It's not evil. There's just presences that like to kind of. They like to mess around and they like to be hidden in shadow. And even last time I was here, I didn't tell you this. Sarah said that she goes, there's something here that's disguising itself and it's. It's putting a cloud over me. And it's just. She kept getting to that shadow figure. What's weird is when I was up here with Jeffrey, I said, you know what? Y' all are all getting this male present because he was very adamant that an angry male was here. I said, I'm just going to be honest. Like it's opposite of what they believe is here. I go, a lot of the staff here really strongly believe in a woman presence. He just started laughing. He goes, that guy's laughing in the hallway saying, it's working. They think it's her. They think it's a girl. A girl, A woman. He's like, I want. I want them to think that. So see this, this shadow is doing a lot of weird trickster stuff. And Sarah called him a trickster. That's a good name for it. That's what she said the whole time she was here. There's a trickster. He's here.
E
He's not.
D
I wonder how long he's been here.
A
Dave said, he's been here a while.
G
So it's not from like the disruption.
A
That's what I thought. I thought it could have been that I even have. I've been really thinking it's a homeless person that is not quite stable because they've been picking up on that type of energy too, a lot. But the more and more we hear, it's like, I think Kate just said he's been here a while. Like it's not like brand new.
E
So the problem with trickster spirits is that it's really hard to find out who they are because, like they're gonna change themselves up.
A
He could be presenting to Sarah as a teenage little boy. Yeah, she might free a little boy. And then the shadow male to Kate. But they all have the same energy.
B
It's weird.
A
Like they all feel the same. They have the same behaviors too. Like all the spirits, they said it. All three of them said it. The spirits want him gone. They all say that and they said that separately.
E
Interesting to try Frank's box session.
A
That cuz he. She was saying, I want. Where's Franklin? Franklin came with.
B
He.
A
He developed the box just for tonight. He built it out of a 3D printer. And it's for them to speak through. And, and that guy, he was ready to say, I want to like play with Franklin. Right? Or something like that.
D
It's like, wow, that was weird.
B
So I, I.
A
And Franklin's after that one. Cuz he messed with them up in that loft. Yeah, I think we're getting close to this little shadow thing, but I don't know what the heck it is. During the session in the upstairs office, there were multiple moments where Jeffrey and Kate seemed to be picking up on the same presence at the same time. But one exchange in particular stood out. Kate suddenly mentioned that the shadow presence appeared to rest in the Sunday House loft. Almost immediately, Jeffrey relayed another message that the other spirits in the building, including Catherine, didn't like what was in the Sunday house loft. It felt less like random impressions and more like something trying to actually guide us. Almost as if the spirits themselves were pointing us toward where this darker presence lingered. And I was paying attention. Then something else happened that sent a chill through the room. Franklin wasn't with us during this session. He was down in the Sunday house preparing his new spirit communication device, his uniquely made digital Franx box. And right as Kate was describing the shadow presence, a message came through asking, where's Franklin? Followed by come out to play. I just want to talk. Oh no, I won't hurt him. If you remember, Franklin used to work here primarily in Kinfolk. And during both previous investigations, he had some of the more unsettling experiences happen to him, which is quite rare. On the first overnight, he was physically touched multiple times during an Estes session in the Sunday House loft by a more aggressive male presence. During the second investigation, he was touched on the back of his neck in the upstairs offices. So hearing that message now made me wonder. Did this shadow presence recognize him from his time working here? Was it aware of this new device Franklin had built and was going to communicate with him tonight through it? And was it deliberately toying with him? After my private recaps with both Jeffrey and Kate, it was clear both of them felt strongly that Catherine was present and that Adolf was as well. Jeffrey still didn't feel a shadow presence in Kinfolk, but continued to describe that eerie figure in the Sunday House loft. Kate, meanwhile, was clear that the shadow presence was manipulative, able to shift, hide, and present itself in different ways. That made me pause again. I started to wonder if what Jeffrey experienced in the loft wasn't a separate presence at all, but instead this same shadow entity disguising itself As a boy, another difference remained. Jeffrey continued to experience Adolf as angry and confrontational. While I don't recall Kate ever really expressing that from this energy. Now, for her, the only true negative presence was the shadow. And then I thought back to something else. When Sarah had seen the shadow in Kinfolk, she described it seeping in from behind the bar, almost like a dark mist. The way Kate now described the shadow presence entering the upstairs office felt eerily similar. There were still more questions than answers. But I had a growing theory. Kate mentioned that this shadow presence seemed to draw energy from electronics in the upstairs office, yet rested in the Sunday house loft. From my experience and other cases I've been on, darker and more disruptive presences often cluster around large electrical sources. And suddenly I was reminded of the breaker box up here in the upstairs office hallway. And also one down in the closet behind the bar in Kinfolk. Two areas where the shadow presence seems very active. I don't know. It's weird because Kinfolk seems to be where the shadow ducks down into as well, a lot. And there's a. I found a breaker box where Sarah saw him coming out of. It's in that closet.
E
Oh, yeah.
A
Sarah said he keeps coming out of his closet. And that's.
G
Breakers flip all the time.
A
Really? I'm curious to see.
E
That's very.
C
And we did not even know that
G
the breaker to this office was down there until, like, recently. Recently.
A
Where's the breaker here?
G
After you guys started coming through here.
E
Really?
A
The breakers were here.
G
It's behind that door.
A
Staff members Jordan and Brittany led us to the upstairs office breaker box in the hallway. And that's when something interesting surfaced in our conversation.
E
So those. Those breakers go to somewhere else.
G
They go to some things in here. But the main breaker for up here is all the way down in Kinfolk.
E
That's interesting.
A
Okay.
G
And we just learned that recently, which this has never happened before, when I tried to run the space heater because
D
this office is always very cold.
A
Trip to breaker. Yeah. Okay. What I got from two of them, two psychics. The male likes this space right here. Yeah, it's right here. And where Sarah's seen him in the. In the speakeasy, literally, the shadow would come out of that closet area.
E
It has to.
A
If.
E
If the breaker is all the way down there, it has to be going through the building.
A
Yeah, it's probably. Why. It's probably wiring to the walls, because there's not.
E
There's no. At least that I've seen any visible wiring coming out of the walls.
A
No, it's probably in between the flooring, and then it probably drops down. Down the basement.
E
Wow, that's insane.
G
And then the other breaker box, you guys know, is on the Sunday house building.
A
What?
E
Are you serious?
A
Are you serious?
E
Those are the three spaces that he goes to.
A
So he really is only getting his strength from electricity and that. So he's not that strong of a entity, in my opinion. If he's using it all just to do that.
E
Yeah, it's probably how he's traveling.
A
It's how he's traveling and how he's able to make people feel certain ways and then move things, break things, if it is happening in those areas. That's interesting. Okay.
E
There ever been electrical issues?
A
Oh, yeah.
E
Like, all the time.
A
What? What kind of electric. Electric issues.
G
I mean, things pop and go all the time. I mean, the breaker starting to flip for up here is a new thing. And that's kind of wild because I've worked here, you know, 17 and a half years. That's never happened in all the years it's turning.
A
Been tripping the one in Kinfolk.
D
Yeah.
A
Okay.
G
And it did. I don't think that they replaced a breaker because. Because it didn't seem like there was anything wrong with it. It just keeps flipping.
A
Okay. What we realized in that moment was striking. The upstairs office hallway, where the shadow presence seemed most active had a breaker box behind the Kinfolk bar, the exact spot where Sarah had seen the shadow mist emerge. There was another breaker box. And now Jordan told us the third and final breaker box on the property was in the Sunday house directly beneath the loft. The same corner where Jeffrey had seen the small shadow figure of a boy watching. Three hotspots, three electrical hubs, and one presence that seemed to move between them. We still didn't know what this shadow was or even if it was truly one entity. But the pattern was impossible to ignore. It was entirely possible this presence was using those power sources to travel manifest or hide, and in doing so, may have been presenting itself differently to our mediums and even to staff over the years. If this was true, then we may have just found both its pathway and its source. When we get back from this short break, we'll venture to the one place we hadn't yet done a session at. And it would be the perfect place to try out Franklin's new toy, the Sunday House. Stay tuned. I'd like to take a moment to tell you about a podcast that I've recently discovered called the Secret Room. Do you have a secret? Something you've kept hidden? Something you've never told another living soul? People all around you are carrying the most amazing secrets. The woman next to you on the bus could be covering up something so sinister, so mysterious, and you wouldn't have a clue what she was hiding. The Secret Room is a podcast that gives you a front row seat to listen in on people's most intimate secrets. Anonymous guests come on the show and reveal true stories that they've never told before. The guests describe their entanglements in dubious situations, including things like drug use, criminal activity, family problems, and other equally delicate situations. Some of these stories concern people who were victims, some arise from consequences due to their own poor choices, and some stories are the result of just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The stories can be tragic, as in the case of one woman who witnessed the murder of her lover, or heartwarming, like the woman who finds long lost family members after years of searching. In any case, the stories are very entertaining and cover a wide range of topics that would appeal to many different people. I'd also like to add that the sound quality on this podcast is top notch, and host Ben Hamm has an appealing, calm, compassionate voice that creates a safe space for these guests to share their candid stories. If you like storytelling at its finest and listening in on other people's juicy secrets, then give the Secret Room podcast a try. You can find it anywhere you listen to your favorite podcasts. By now the team had gathered inside the Sunday house, Alexis and I pulled Franklin outside to have a chat. He hadn't heard the moment during the session when the Presence called his name, so Alexis and I quietly filled him in. If anything, it only made him more eager to test this new communication device he'd built from the ground up. But before we dive in, I wanted Franklin to explain exactly what this new box was.
B
This is what I call digital Frank's Box. So Frank's box is just kind of like an Estes method. It's a spirit box, but it's more tuned. And instead of the radio that's just cycling through chant or frequencies in a loop in a closed circuit system, meaning that the speaker, the microphone are in the same box like back to back. The Frank's Box is a bigger box just for listeners. Think of something like the size of a shoebox. On one end of the shoebox is a speaker. On the opposite end of this box is a microphone and the gap in between is where you allow natural EMF to occur. And in that natural EMF space, it is theorized that energies entities what have you can manipulate that energy in that space and create voices and basically have more wiggle room to reach out. My version, the digital version instead. Instead of using AM&FM radio, this one hops between all radio frequencies that are plausible to the human ear. So we're talking about 2000 frequencies and it doesn't go through it linearly. Example from 0 to 10 it hops around randomly so it's just picking random channels and going on underneath that. I also added white noise, so you can have pink noise, green noise, white noise, and brown noise. And we can also control the oscillations, and we can also control the speed of how fast it goes.
A
Cool. Here's what I want to try to do. I don't want multiple people talking. I want to control askr, if that's okay. Does that work with this scenario? But can we use our psychics to pull in just the one energy? I think I would like you to talk. I feel like you have a more spiritual connection than anybody else that is on our team, like, core team here.
E
Okay.
A
And you just try to get answers for that thing.
B
All right.
A
So do I need to go under?
B
Yeah.
D
All right.
E
All right. Cool.
A
Now, we had a plan. Since the presence had specifically called out for Franklin, he was going to be the conduit, the one going under the Gonsville goggles and noise canceling headphones, just as we'd done before. But this time, instead of traditional methods, we'd be using Franklin's new communication device. Alexis would act as the messenger, the one speaking directly to the presence and guiding the session. And because we wanted to isolate this shadow energy as much as possible, everyone on the team with intuitive abilities, Kate, Jeffrey, and Alexis's partner, Alejandro, would focus on blocking out other presences and draw in only that negative entity. Y' all have felt things up here. You most recently called something out in the last session. Don't share with Jeffrey unless you have already. Jeffrey, you have felt something up there. I know it's. It may not be there now, but what I'm gonna do is we're gonna use a tool that Franklin has built. Franklin's gonna be able to go under, and Alexis is gonna be the person asking questions and talking to the box, and then Franklin's gonna be the conduit. We don't talk. None of us else talk. Use just your energy to pull if you can. I just want to pull that one energy here. Nobody else. We'd all remained on the ground floor. The new device was too delicate to get up to the loft, so the session would take place directly beneath the loft, where the shadow presence had been seen. Before we began, Alexis addressed everyone gathered in the Sunday house.
E
We're specifically trying to connect with one entity that we dubbed the trickster, who we believe is possibly connected to all the buildings that likes to sleep in this space. So we're having Kate, Jeffrey, and Alejandro focus on keeping that energy and that entity here. While I ask the questions. Oh, and then this is a spirit trumpet. This is before the Frank Squach or any digital things recorded ever existed. Spirit voices would come through this. Sometimes on the external end for everyone to hear. Sometimes this internal end for only me to hear. So I'm carrying it around for any extra energy for that reason. For that reason. All right.
B
All right. Whenever you're all ready.
E
So you just have to hit enter.
B
Yep.
A
Yep.
E
Okay.
A
You ready?
B
Yep.
A
Okay, we're going under. 3, 2, 1.
E
We want to communicate with the spirit here. We call the.
A
I'm at home.
E
Yeah, this is your home, Detective. Are you impressed that we found you?
A
Wouldn't you?
E
Yeah, I would be impressed too. What is your purpose here? Are you the truth trickster? What is your name?
B
Difficult. I am.
E
Yes, you definitely are. What is your purpose here? Why are you here?
B
Trouble.
E
That seems to be the problem is that you're causing trouble here.
A
Believe it.
E
Yeah, we. We do believe that. But why are you here?
B
Who wants it? Eavesdropper.
E
Yes, we can hear you. We're listening to you now. We want you talk to you here specifically because you have a tendency to travel.
B
I'm awake.
E
Are you up in the loft?
B
Maybe.
E
Is that where you sleep?
B
The radio?
E
Yes. That's how we're communicating.
B
Happening.
E
That's how we're communicating with you. Do you like us shining light up there?
B
Don't be. I don't know.
E
Would you like for maybe one of us to go up there?
B
Look up.
E
We are looking up. Are we gonna see you do it?
B
The reaction. Kill it.
E
If you're up there, make a sign. Not on wood. Mess with the lights.
B
Something is touching my arm.
E
Are you touching Franklin's arm?
B
Double work.
E
You know, earlier you said you wanted to play with Franklin. And you're not really doing very much right now. I'm not really impressed.
B
I said don't.
E
Don't what?
B
That's not what I said.
E
That's exactly what you said. You said you wanted to play with Franklin.
B
Please. Hard body dropping. Woman screaming man laughing did you die
E
here on the property? Man laughing did you pass away here on the property?
B
Franklin?
E
Yes, Franklin's here. I'm asking you a question. Are you tied to the property?
B
Through the wall?
E
Yes. We know you travel through the wall. So we need to know how are you connected to the property? Give us your name.
B
The worm.
E
What is your real?
B
Headphones.
E
What's your real name?
B
Man laughing again. We are near throughout.
E
So I think that I'm gonna go ahead and do A cleansing and get you out of here. What do you think about that?
B
Believe it.
E
Yeah, I can. And you know I can because you got threatened by it earlier.
B
I'm trying. I am.
E
Okay, so communicate with us or we're gonna just get rid of you.
B
Don't talk. I'm speaking.
E
Okay, we're listening. What do you have to say?
B
Don't worry about it.
E
We need to know why you are here.
B
Forgive me.
E
Forgive you for what?
B
For my something. I don't know. I can't make it out.
E
Will you come out of the photographs that we're taking right now? You show yourself.
B
It could be me. It's going to.
E
Okay. Well, we're looking forward to that.
B
It will. Man laughing again Are you going to
E
continue to cause trouble here?
A
Let me just briefly interrupt this to tell you what you can't see. Kate signaled to us that she was going to walk outside and go up to the loft area. She left quietly and made her way there. And this immediately came through the session.
B
Stop right there.
A
Kill.
B
You feel it?
E
You're not gonna kill her. She's gonna go wherever she wants.
B
Fuck them.
E
She's going upstairs right now.
B
Gunshot Gunshot she's going upstairs to make
E
sure that you can come down here.
B
James. Multiple lefts. Beside you.
E
Beside her.
A
Me.
E
Move something. Gather the electricity.
B
Touching my arm again. You understand?
E
Yes, we do understand. Use the energy to move something. Knock. Turn off a light. Knock something down.
B
Right there. Yeah.
E
Here. Look.
B
There you go.
E
This is an empty bottle, right?
B
Gunshot Gunshot Right there. What do you think you know?
E
The other spirit.
C
Spirits here.
E
You know. They don't want you here.
D
Stop.
E
They don't want you here. They want you here.
B
You gotta burn it.
E
They want you gone. Why are you still here? You go to the office upstairs. You look at the basement downstairs. Where else do you want us to go? To talk to you.
B
Man laughing Stop laughing at me and
E
talk to me instead.
B
Touching my arm again.
E
Why are you touching Franklin?
B
I thought about it.
E
So if you think it happens.
B
Heard.
E
If we go down to the basement, will you communicate with us there?
B
I have no idea.
E
What about up in the office upstairs? Do you want to stay here? Did you show Franklin how you died when he was up there? Show Franklin again how you passed away.
A
No.
E
Show Franklin how you passed. Show Franklin where you came from. You said you wanted to play with him. Alright. We're gonna end this session because you're not making any sense anymore. Will you speak with us again? We're gonna do a countdown to ten seconds. Go ten Nine, eight.
B
Believe me.
E
Seven, six, five, four, three, two.
B
Remember, one.
A
Was there anything, like, consistent coming through? So as far as, like, voices or an energy or anything of that sort,
B
Like a man's voice kept laughing. Something would come through. Like, when it said, believe me, it was like five different voices at the same time saying, believe me. I heard a lot of gunshots.
A
Yeah. It was weird.
B
I kept seeing a singular eyeball close and then open and then close and then open.
A
Was there any consistency? This was like a. Like if there was a presence or an energy or like a person that was coming through, or is it just all over the place?
D
All over the place.
A
Okay.
B
Like, something kept touching my arm.
A
Yeah.
C
Did it feel the same as last time? Because when you were up there.
A
Up there last time? Yeah, it felt the same.
B
It was pretty much similar. Same to that.
A
Okay.
B
It just kept. It felt like it was doing this and, like, grab and then pull and grab and then pull.
E
Like, literally the second you went outside, it was like, stop. You said, stop right there. And then it was like, murder. Kill.
C
Gunshot.
E
Gunshot. Gunshots.
C
Yeah.
A
Wanted to take you out. Yeah. I said, I'll kill them.
F
That's what he said.
C
Oh, no.
A
What did you feel? Did y' all feel anything throughout the session?
D
You guys started talking and Franklin started focusing. It was back. It was right there. I was physically seeing its shadow move with my eyes, and I. I could see, like, these.
E
I don't.
D
It was like this, like, sort of ripple of energy a couple of times right before you started taking pictures. But it was. It was there. And when you turn the light on, it would, like. It didn't like that because it. It would go away, but. And then it was crouched way, way down. But for the most of the heart. I could see it over the. The rail there. Just looking over. I could see, like, the head and shoulders of it. It was moving around. There was a. At one point, it was moving back and forth like it did last time, but I could see the dark outline of it with my eye eyes.
A
Did it look any different than it last time, or was it.
D
It was the same thing as last time. It was standing up a little taller. It wasn't crouched over as much because it was looking over, but it was still short and small.
A
When you were looking up there, this shutter release cable started waving up and down.
F
And I thought at first.
D
First, maybe it was just the air
C
conditioner, but it didn't move again.
A
It was right when you were looking up there. This started going up and down. I did not see that for a while. That voice you just heard was Ray, one of our photographers that night. What he was reacting to was a shutter switch attached to his camera, hanging from a long metal cable. Several of us watched as it suddenly began to bounce on its own. Thankfully, a friend who was visiting us this night, Cassidy, caught that moment on her actual phone. I'll be sharing that video on our Patreon page so patrons can actually see and witness what we did. We immediately tried to debunk it. The air in the room was still. Nothing moved. We walked past it multiple times with no effect. And as you can see in the video, no one was anywhere near it when it started swinging. Whatever caused it, it wasn't something we could explain. After witnessing that, we didn't want to waste a moment. We immediately set up another session, this time with Kate as the conduit, using Franklin's digital spirit box right there in the Sunday house.
B
Four, three, two, one. Radio silence. And here we go.
C
Is this on? Roger.
E
What is your name?
C
I could go after her.
E
You go after who?
C
It's Claire. The dray one.
E
Jeffrey's on his way upstairs. He's gonna be up there shortly with you. What do you think about that?
C
Gunshots.
E
Do you recognize Jeffrey? The last time he was there.
C
Great. Let's go. It's a strange mystery.
E
He's up there now.
A
What?
E
Yeah, he's right up there. Right next to you. You don't see him? Is that you hiding in the corner?
C
Yes.
E
And they're taking pictures of you.
C
You won't. There's a bunch of gunshots.
E
Why are you giving gunshot noises?
C
This is fun.
E
Yeah, it is fun.
C
Down.
E
No, they're staying up there.
C
I warned you.
E
What are you going to do?
C
Hello. Hello. You called me here?
E
Yes. We want to know why you're here.
C
For those of you who want to see me.
E
Yes.
C
Look closer.
E
Where are you?
C
Here. Here. There. There.
E
How are we supposed to look for you if you're on all places at once?
C
I'm able to.
E
Why don't you give us a definite sign that we failed?
C
You can't touch me.
E
I'm not asking you to touch you. I'm saying knock.
F
Do something.
C
Your neck. Concentrate. You're losing me. I might.
E
Okay.
C
Bitch.
E
Yeah.
A
Do it.
E
We're waiting on you.
C
It's time.
E
We've been told that you have been learning new tricks. Let's see some of these new tricks.
C
What even is that thing?
E
This?
C
That's not a rocket.
E
It's a trumpet. You can speak through it if you want. To. I'll even hold it up so you can hear.
C
Oh, man.
E
Tell me your name.
C
Franklin. In the back. It's that one over there. And the coast is clear. Why should I?
E
Is your name John?
C
Yeah, when they ask.
E
But what's your real name?
C
Stupid mouth.
E
Is it Benjamin?
C
Confused. This thing doesn't work like that.
E
Is it Benjamin?
C
Distract.
E
So you haven't given your real name?
C
Confused.
E
Do you know Catherine?
C
You're a bitch.
E
Me or Catherine?
C
Hello? There's this long screen in the background.
E
Is someone else coming through?
C
Fine. Let's see. I can be cordial.
E
Okay, then. Why don't you start by telling us your name? My name is Alexis. What's your name? This is Steven. This is Franklin. Over here we got Ray Ho. As Pretty good, I'll give you that one.
C
There's a man standing here. Coat. It's me. I traveled here.
E
From where?
C
Through time. Killed.
E
Killed? You were killed here?
C
Maybe. Bring it on. That's right. The devil we know.
E
You're not the devil. Why are you so popular?
A
Popular?
E
What do you think about people being upstairs right now?
C
Come forward.
E
I think they're actually heading out.
C
Oh yeah. Somebody's touching my face.
E
Is that you touching Kate's face?
C
Jordan? Who are you?
E
I'm Alexis.
C
These activities, remember? This is somebody else speaking. It's a woman. You're a threat.
E
Are you speaking to?
C
It's just fine.
E
The Trickster.
C
No, you can't. He's right there.
E
Where is he?
A
Ask her where we should go next.
E
Where should we go next?
D
Where?
E
Where should we find him?
C
There's a woman trying to get through.
E
Okay. What are you trying to say? What do you need to tell us?
A
Hi.
E
Hello.
C
Try your best.
E
Where should we go?
C
So careful what you ask for.
E
We actually want to communicate with you. But where should we go next?
C
You can try it.
E
Should we stay here?
C
You're a little bitch.
E
Should we go to the downstairs? Ken folk.
C
You can take care of me. I'll take care of it.
E
Do you want to go upstairs? If we go to Kinpok, we'll be able to speak with you directly.
C
You're still going?
E
All right, we're gonna end in 10. 9, 8, 7.
C
Later.
E
6, 5.
C
Cold weather.
E
3, 2, 1.
C
Okay, there's a consistent man coming through. There's also a woman coming through. And it's like a. Almost like a whimper. Like she's like whimpering in the background. To get through is what it sounds like. And at the beginning, the energy around felt like. You know how yarn is like wrapped around in, like, different. Like a nucleus almost. It felt like nuclear energy moving, and then it spread open, and then it came down this way. I'm just trying to process it, because the way that he was coming through it was like, shoving so much in at one time that it was hard to pin down. Does that make sense? Like. Like those paintings that have all the dots on it, and it makes that. Yeah, like pointillism is. It's like, so many different parts. He felt very erratic, so connecting to his energy. It feels like he tries to be a big threat, but he can only power up at so many times in so many ways. It's not, like, a consistent thing. So when you're asking him, like, hey, tap on this window. He can't always do it because he doesn't always have the strength to do it. It's like there's a. Some sort of energetic influx that he needs in order for that to happen. So that's why he comes in here and sleeps, because he'll charge and then need to recharge. And then charge and then need to recharge.
A
Did you get any indication of where we might want to go next? I feel like we got to keep trying to maybe get a little bit more from him, but, I mean, we haven't gone. But we haven't done the Box Kinfolk yet. This one's different, though. It's not like. It's like. This is. I feel like with Brown Noise, you're getting more feeling here and thoughts. And this one's more, like actual. Is it, like, actual words coming?
C
Yeah, I was listening for actual words. There were some things that were coming through psychically that I did say. Now that we're talking about it, I don't. Don't know which was which.
A
But what about when he called us bitch and a hoe?
B
Yeah.
A
Male voice, though.
C
Yeah, male voice. And it's interesting because
A
we were dying. We couldn't, like, get our together.
C
That's how it felt. It's interesting because, like, for example, at Sunset Strip, that was very consistent in the voices. It was like, oh, I know this is your voice coming in. His voice. He's, like, changing it. It's not always the same, but it's
A
the same person that fits his M.O. with the whole, like, man, it's been, like, super shifty.
C
Yeah.
A
Even with the new session underway, that elusive presence still wasn't giving us much to work with. But something else happened, something none of us had ever experienced on the night owl investigation before. A phantom smell. Suddenly, pockets of the Room filled with a sharp sulfur, like, almost chemical odor. And just as quickly, it would vanish. Multiple people noticed it. Ray, Alexis, Franklin, and myself included. It would appear, disappear, then return again in different spots with no physical source that we could find. Listen in as the team begins to call it out in real time.
B
Yeah, that was the third time it would happen. Like, during the.
A
Yeah, I smelled it too.
E
Like sulfur.
G
Huh?
E
Like right in the center once I was walking by. Except the box. Is it. No, no, because I smell it over. I smelled it over here.
C
I. It doesn't feel demonic. I don't think he has enough power. I don't think he is.
E
At one point, he said, the devil. And I was like, I know you're not the devil. And he was like, it's popular.
C
Oh, yeah, yeah. That was awesome.
A
Were y' all feeling anything outside of it?
D
Do you wanna know what I saw?
B
Yes.
D
Because we're talking about a trickster, and a lot of what you're saying makes sense. What I saw upstairs, where I've seen it before, was the shadow. But it almost felt like what I was seeing was not what was talking about. Like it was doing two things at once. It was up in the rafters, then it was around, but it was mostly still over there in that corner. And then I started to see it with my eyes. Not the dark shadow anymore. I started to see it, like a gray image appear, and it looked more like a gargoyle or an imp. It had a face and it had. It had horns. I know that sounds. Sounds corny, but it looked like a. It looked like a gargoyle. And I was like, this is not a demon any, but it's a trickster. It was. It's like some sort of impish entity that can present itself as the boy or as a man and do all the different voices and everything, but. But it's this small little entity.
A
Okay.
D
That's the very clear image. Image that I saw. And then, you know, he took. He took a lot of pictures.
A
Yeah.
D
I was pointing here.
A
I pulled Alexis and his partner Alejandro aside to get their take on this new smell that's appeared. They work very closely with the First Spiritualist Church of Austin and have years of experience in these studies, so I wanted to see what they had to say. If the silver. I've been smelling it. Cassie's been smelling all over. She just smelled it upstairs in the hallway. Yeah. If it's so.
D
So fear it, though.
A
I mean, there's a lot of that demon perception, but.
B
Yeah.
A
Is there another answer for that.
E
Yeah, I think so. I think. I mean, to make it seem like it's something scary. Yeah, absolutely.
A
Okay.
E
I mean, it's. Spirits can do things like roses. They can do all kinds of smells. So, yeah, I think it's very awesome.
F
I say whatever they're vibrationally manifesting as, that's power, like olfactory senses, perceiving them.
E
You know, it could also even be something that's connected to the spirit itself. So, for example, if they worked at a certain type of plant or they worked with certain types of chemicals or, you know, something like that. If they worked as a blacksmith, there might be a sulfuric smell. They worked with gunpowder, which has sulfur in it. You know what I mean? Things like that.
F
Like, if someone was a smoker in
D
life, you typically would smell tobacco when they would enter the space in spirit.
A
That's what I'm going to smell like
E
when I go, hell, yeah, Steven's here.
A
So.
E
Yeah, it's very. It's very possible. I mean, also, like, even earlier, whenever we were doing the session, like, the devil's like, I know you're not the devil. He's like, it's popular. Like, it's something that he's aware of, you know, I mean, if you think of it, perspective. I don't have any ghost hunters have been here, but I think my perspective of, like, you know, people come to me like, are you evil? Are you the devil? You know, like that. Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
I wanted to stick to the hotspots, and with this new theory regarding the breaker boxes, I wanted to revisit Kinfolk and host a session using Franklin's new device down there. So the entire group gathered into Kinfolk and I wanted to try a new conduit that we hadn't tried yet in this location. Alexis's partner, Alejandro.
B
We're doing green noise this time instead of brown. So this should. Might stimulate alpha brains instead of. Of beta. All right. 5, 4, 3, 2.
A
Okay, we're zoning back in. Gonna introduce everybody.
F
They have been here.
A
Alejandro is the person you can.
F
They can do that.
A
We've got Brittany, who works here, Alexis, Jeffrey, Kevin, Kate, Cassidy, Whatever you think would be new. And Rey in the back room back there. We're trying to connect with the male presence who seems to be elusive. Do you also go up to the office?
F
No. How about stop the experiment?
A
Why do you want us to stop?
F
There's a gentleman who just leaned over into Steven's face. Surprised? Demon.
A
We already know you're not a demon.
F
Hi.
A
What's your name?
F
It's Because Franklin.
A
Franklin. You can talk because of Franklin. He got us this box.
F
They're surrounding me.
A
We're all just hanging out. No, Kate's trying to do some energetic work.
F
And watch your back. He's talking till I decide what to do. Whatever.
A
Do you know who we have here?
F
You gonna do a reading? Yeah,
A
but these people have the power to get rid of any spirit. And it can be in a positive way.
F
And it can also coming with them, near them. We don't want you here. You haven't heard the half of it. Significant.
A
Okay, well, we're here to hear it. Right now. All we know is we're comfortable here. Spirits. If you're all the other spirits.
F
Other than the dark, though, it must be seen. Very irregular.
A
The spirits that reside here don't want you here.
F
So he'll see it too. Look, hold on.
A
Just tell us where to look.
F
He's a detective. Is that what you did?
A
I'm not a detective in the literal sense.
F
You're close.
A
I'm a paranormal investigator. That can sometimes be like a detective.
F
Open your head.
A
Is there fog behind the door? Behind the bar? Let me pause here for another moment, because something else was happening during this session while Alejandro was under. Franklin suddenly pointed toward the bar behind it. He said he could see something forming, a mist. Alexis saw it next, then Ray. They were calling for me to look, but from my angle, I just couldn't see anything. Ray and Kevin immediately began snapping photos. And Franklin ran over and placed a trifold meter directly on the bar where it was happening. For three to five seconds, several witnesses watched what looked like a shadowy mist form and hover behind the bar. And then it began to dissipate almost as quickly as it formed. I'll share the photograph that Kevin captured on Patreon. We don't believe we were able to definitively capture the mist itself, but the moment is at least documented. What's striking is this. We had now experienced three physical phenomena, each witnessed by multiple people tonight. The camera shutter cable suddenly bouncing on its own in the Sunday house. And the sulfuric chemical phantom smell that appeared in pockets and followed us from room to room. And now a shadowy mist manifesting behind the bar. Eerily similar to how Sarah and Kate had both described this presence entering spaces. Whatever this was, it wasn't being subtle anymore. Get a picture of that if y' all can. So the mist is what Sarah sees close down victims. Is there any reason. Go check it. Franklin, is that you? We wanted to see you. Thank you for showing yourself to us.
F
Did you hear him? Stop. A woman's voice said stop.
A
Katherine? Is that you Trying. We're trying to help.
F
No. They're not there. Push them.
A
You're not allowed to hurt anybody. You can touch us now. Now you can move objects and show us your hearing. Was that missed you? I've had someone else report you as missed several times.
F
Yeah. He's there. You learned something new every day.
A
Can you open that closet? What you just heard was me asking one of our team members to open the closet behind the bar. The one that actually houses the bar Breaker box. At this point I wanted to see if drawing attention to that space would provoke a response from whatever had been moving through the room. Listen closely to what unfolds. You'll hear what sounds like Catherine encouraging us. And layered beneath that the more aggressive presence responding in his own way.
F
Find him. You're so creative.
A
Is that what you like? You like the power box?
F
Who saw. I will interrupt you.
A
So there's a theory I have that presences that are someone here not nice and want to do bad things. Like to power up nerve.
F
What are you looking for?
A
Breaker boxes and power boxes. And the three areas that we find you. There's a breaker in every one of those areas.
F
Is that right?
A
Yeah. Your source of power. There's one in the office upstairs.
F
You die.
A
There's one in the Sunday house and there's one right here. There's only three in the building.
F
You said your peace.
A
Am I right? Is there a way that you travel through the walls?
F
It happens.
A
So if you won't answer us directly. We have to go to the other spirits and ask them to give us information about you. And sometimes they may not tell the truth.
F
You the devil.
A
I'm the devil again. I haven't seen anything happen.
F
Sorry.
A
Did you hear me trying to hear you. Can you do something in this room just so we can see that you actually have some sort of interview?
F
I heard a word I can't say.
A
Call him your name.
B
Say it.
A
Tell him again so he'll say it.
F
Look for me.
E
See?
F
Hear me out.
A
We'll give you space. Talk. I really wanted to see you in that mist. So I. I hope that some of my friends captured it. Thank you for that.
F
They measured it.
A
Franklin measured it. Can you do it again? That would be.
F
I thought you would.
A
That would be impressive.
F
You're a fraud.
A
What are you?
F
I'm enjoying this now.
A
Okay. Will you talk to us more?
F
These people are dangerous.
A
We can be. People that work here don't like you.
F
We just Keep talking to the dead,
A
we can get rid of you.
F
Hey.
A
Okay, so we'll talk to the other students.
F
A full house. That's cowardly.
A
Oh, you think we need to be by ourselves. Alexis and I are going to stay after. Maybe Franklin, too.
F
Stay home. Did you do it?
A
Not yet.
F
You knew you would.
A
We won't do the act of removing a spirit unless it's absolutely necessary. And we don't see.
F
See.
A
Do that often.
F
Stop.
A
We never go with the intention to do that. But with all.
F
Really?
A
Yeah. With all the spirit saying the same thing, though. They don't want you here. You have to.
F
I'm just not.
A
You gotta.
F
You've gotta give into that.
A
You've got to work with them because they. They run this place. Okay?
F
One day, you have to.
A
Or. Or they're gonna require us to do what we do. And that's this man over there. So be cooperative and we can actually decide if.
F
Sure, but you have yet to meet me. I'm feeling the presence of a woman standing over here, kind of darting her head back and forth, not nervously, but concerned. Gentleman from over here just said stop.
A
That's the behavior that they displayed. Okay, so Kate, Jeffrey, can y' all push the male and let the woman try to. Try to just nurture the woman's energy? We're gonna. We're gonna push you aside and we're gonna speak to the woman right now. To the female presence. Can you come forward? We're gonna hold.
F
Really? Rookie mistake. Esp.
A
We're gonna move his energy away if we can. And what can you tell us about him? Can you give us some information about the male? We're still trying to talk to the female. We're not going to talk to the male anymore. If you try to come through, I'm just going to shut you down. So just let her come through.
F
It bothers you, I'll find you. I think it's the pretty lady.
A
What do you say?
F
Follow her there, Watch her cry.
A
I hear that you like to watch staff. Go to the office and sit there. Are you talking about a staff member?
F
It's obvious. Are you happy?
A
We're going to end the session. Stop communication in 10 seconds. You have 10 seconds to say anything that if you want to get across
F
multiple voices just said in unison. There's no point. Huge gap.
A
9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Okay.
F
What was pretty consistent for me was there was essentially a gentleman's energy. He felt as he was. He was manifesting probably around the age range of like 45. To 55. Every time that another spirit would step through. The best way to describe it is when another dog approaches your yard and you have a dog and it starts barking. Essentially, he was just, like, trying to push away any other spirit that was
D
coming towards and forward.
F
There was a woman over here, just kind of watching it all happen. She had her arms crossed, and she was. She looked a little pissed off. And majority of the time, every time he would kind of frighten a spirit, she would just be like, ignore them. Ignore them. Specifically with the woman, her form kept kind of like a changing, Almost like, with her perspective of things, she's just trying to comfort whatever spirit's coming forward for her. So her form changed to whatever spirit was coming forward. Because I felt like there was a few kind of getting in line from this room over here. But again, the men was kind of pushing them away, and then she was just kind of. It's fine. Just go. Just go. That's majority of what I got.
A
Even in Alejandro's first session on this case, familiar patterns surfaced down in kinfolk. He picked up on the same type of interaction we'd encountered in earlier investigations. A frustrated female presence surrounded by other spirits who seemed opposed to this elusive, darker male energy remaining on the property. And once again, that negative male presence came through with the same tone we'd heard before. Mocking, confrontational, Almost amused by our struggle to understand what was happening. I wanted to keep pushing forward while this energy felt active. So next, I wanted to set up two conduits simultaneously. Franklin would go under using his new digital spirit box, While Kate entered a separate hybrid ganzfeld session. With brown noise coming through her headphones, Alexis would act as the primary messenger. What I didn't know at the time was that Alexis had a specific intention. He planned to encourage the female presence, who we were all assuming might be Catherine, to confront this darker male energy directly and demand that it leave the property. Neither Kate nor Franklin were told about this ahead of time, and once they were under, they couldn't hear anything happening outside of their headphones.
C
You've been scaring my family.
B
You mean it?
C
And we don't want you here.
E
Catherine, is that you?
C
I speak for everyone.
E
She speaks for everyone.
A
Catherine, do you speak for everyone?
C
I'm not afraid of you.
B
Not.
C
I've had trouble reaching you. You can laugh. You cannot hide. Maybe it's me.
E
Katherine. Can you force this spirit out? Do you need help pushing the spirit out, or can you do it yourself? This is your house. You realize who stays and who goes.
C
Do it I need help.
E
Okay.
C
My voice is not strong enough.
E
Okay. We are here to help you clear it.
C
That man.
E
We are all going to give you our strength.
C
Over there.
E
Everyone take a deep breath. Toward Catherine.
C
He's sitting in front of everything.
E
Catherine, we're giving you our strength. We're giving you our force. Our life energy. Push that spirit out.
B
It smells.
C
You're boring me. I'm not here to talk. You have to calm down or you have to leave.
E
Keep telling him.
C
He comes from the rocks.
B
From the water.
C
It's a cycle.
D
Catherine.
E
Force him out. Tell him he has to leave.
B
Over there.
C
I'm feeling a lot of fast movement around me. You may not. No.
E
Good.
B
There you go. Something about being here.
C
This is a business, not a playground. You are not allowed in the kitchen. You are not allowed upstairs. There are boundaries. Who knows that you cannot cross?
E
Keep going.
C
My home.
B
We're stopping.
E
This is your home. You're the boss.
C
It's sacred.
A
Exactly.
C
I don't want you in there. I don't care.
E
You have the power to force a spirit.
C
I think you talk too much.
B
Touching my arm. Again.
C
More to say, but not a lot to do. Don't attack me. I'm not touching you.
A
It's true.
C
Don't touch me. No, I'm not.
B
Power out.
C
I'm not touching you.
B
Behind me.
C
There he goes.
B
Danger.
C
Hiding in the corner.
E
Push him out like a rat. Push him out completely. Don't let him stay in the corner. Push him out.
A
No.
C
I don't care.
E
Exactly. Push him out.
C
Her hair.
B
She's warm.
C
Brush your hair in the face. Down there. Down there. Down there. You just say it. There is no down there.
B
Stab me.
E
Push him out.
C
We don't want you to hide.
B
Much pain.
E
Let him hide. Stick him.
C
We want peace.
E
Yes.
B
We are a force.
E
He's not stronger than you.
B
Down here. Now it touched this arm.
C
Henry.
B
Hi.
C
Thank you. Yes. And he's over here too. We're all here.
B
Mommy.
E
Tell Henry something good as well. They're all to you together. Can help push him out.
C
Everything was fine.
B
Hurting.
C
We had a routine shame and structure
B
class.
C
There's someone coming down the stairs. Can you let them in? Can you let them in?
E
We're letting them in now.
B
Yay. Games. I don't answer to you.
C
What a disguise.
B
Too many voices. I know it. Stop.
C
Yes, I hear him. I don't care.
E
Push him out.
C
I have a job to do.
B
Bar.
A
Exactly.
E
You got this.
B
Trying to do something.
E
Push him out.
C
I'm out of here.
E
Push him out.
C
I'm going upstairs. I've had enough. This is nonsense. You are nonsense.
E
Yes, exactly. He's weak. He's pretending to be strong. Any other spirit is. Oh, no, they're just pretending. You were the boss.
C
Do you smell that?
E
You are the boss. You are allowed to kick them out.
C
Did you do that? You're scaring them.
B
Two gunshots three gunshots.
C
There it is.
B
Four gunshots five gunshots six.
C
But it's not real.
E
It's not real. So you can make him leave.
B
Eight gunshots. Are we having fun yet?
E
Trying to fight.
B
You're losing.
C
Bye.
B
Oh my God. So many goddamn gunshots. Why?
C
It's all a recording. It's mind tricks.
E
See, she's. She's understanding.
C
It's not too bad.
B
It's not fair. Are you?
C
I'm up to bat. Oh, you didn't like that?
B
She can.
C
Well, I really don't know what to tell you.
B
Well, I'll be doing the best.
C
You're scared of me. I'm not the problem. I'm just here to drink.
B
You need to stop.
E
That's awesome.
B
We know.
C
There's like tingling sensation. I'm feeling here. Yes, I'm still here.
B
Someone just touched my shoulder. Catherine, stop it.
C
I'm tired. I've tried. It's not enough. What can we do?
E
You can get in mind. You have the ability to do that.
B
Phone.
E
Don't.
A
Don't.
E
Just tell him. Make him leave.
A
Don't give him a chance. Don't give him an option.
E
Don't try to talk to him. Make him leave. Push him out. Like if you were pushing a person. Push him out.
D
Push him out.
A
Sacred.
C
She's showing something with the land. It's under. Under. Under the boat. Under the land. He has not always been here. It's new evening. We don't know.
A
You don't know what it is.
B
Unexpected visitor.
C
Shut up.
B
That's good.
C
Please. It's enough. I'm bored. I'm bored of this. Make it happen then of you. You can't. You won't. You're scared.
B
Somebody.
D
Someone.
C
It's either way somewhere else than where we are. You want us to chase you? No more.
A
Ha.
C
I wondered what you were doing in my home. I don't believe anything that you say to me.
B
Former.
C
Reel it back in. Calm down.
D
The back.
C
It's not that serious.
E
All right, Kathy. You need anything else from us?
C
You just have to follow the boundaries.
B
Be here. The rules going down.
E
Do you need anything else from us? Or have you got.
B
Perhaps we do what we Want.
A
Set the boundaries.
B
Seriously, there's rules. Trash.
C
Pure, clean.
B
Wow.
C
You can pray.
B
No, no.
E
She said you can pray.
B
Stupid.
A
Can pray.
C
Maybe all I can do is tell you what I know. You have to do the rest. I don't even have a body. What am I supposed to do? I've talked.
A
Is there anything else that we need to do for you?
B
Pushing everywhere, nowhere.
C
I'm trying.
B
I think about it.
C
It's hard.
E
We're going to go ahead and end this session Tired.
B
Coming for me.
E
I know you're tired, but remember that you have the strength. Okay?
C
Sick.
E
You're not sick. You're just exhausted from the consistent having to deal with energy. Yeah, exactly. He's exhausted also.
C
Did someone just walk in front of me? It felt like thereabout a brush of air.
E
Okay, we're going to end the session from up there.
C
There's walking undercover.
B
10.
C
No, 9. He's still down here.
B
I am.
C
I'm leaving now. I can't say anymore.
B
Okay.
E
10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
A
Okay.
B
How was that?
A
That was.
F
It was interesting.
A
It was wild for a long time. It was so, like, so responsive to what you're saying.
E
And not only that, but there were times where, like, we weren't have to say anything because y' all were talking to each other.
A
Yeah.
E
It was basically Catherine and you were the other spirit. And Catherine was like, get out. I'm done. Tired of you. And you're like, no, you know, like, fighting back and forth.
A
But what were you getting? Like, what was.
C
She was so put out on my side. She was just like, I'm over it.
A
She was so over us doing this thing or over the thing over him.
C
Just very over. Just like. I don't care what you're saying to me. It's not even true. You're not even telling us that truth. You want to pretend like you're over here and over here, and you always want people to chase you. She thinks he's not big. Big and bad.
A
She's not afraid of him.
C
No, she. But there's something about her. I don't know how she passed. There's something about her energy that I don't want to call her weak because she's not. She's very strong. But there's something about her communication. It's like, weaker. So she. She has trouble pushing through to, like, to speak up. I don't know how else to say that. She's just so over him. And then. Did somebody walk in front of me?
A
No, I was. You can Hear us. But I was sitting there. Nothing was there.
C
It literally felt like somebody went right in front of me. What did you get?
B
Okay, so for, like, I feel like the first 5, 10ish minutes, it was definitely a back and forth between some Something. It was like two somethings. And they were kind of, like, alluding that. They were, like, just kind of, like, going behind the bar and they were trying to, like, illustrate that they were wherever the oath is behind the bar that they were over there. And then the whole thing shifted, and it was just random. After that. After that, there was something in my peripheral vision. I was trying to, like, follow it to see where it was going.
A
I remember you said something was going that way. You said it was in that corner over there.
B
Okay. But it was, like, moving in my peripheral vision, like, here and then underneath me, and then over here and then up here. It was just kind of, like, making sure that I can't directly look at it.
E
Well, at one point you said, like, they're all here. And that exact moment, you were like, whoa, like, way too many voices all at once. Like. Like they were all talking over you or talking to whoever you were connected to.
A
Yeah.
B
When that happened, there was, like, six or seven different voices, all like, I'm just like.
C
She called. I heard her call Henry. And it was like a calling.
E
Yeah.
C
And then whoever was coming down, it was almost like. Did you guys open the door to let him in?
A
We opened the door.
E
Yeah.
A
When you said to open the door,
C
we didn't, because that was, like. It was almost like she was calling people in for backup.
B
Yeah.
C
Is how it felt.
A
But it didn't really amount to anything because at the end, it sounded like he was still here.
C
Yeah.
B
Yeah. And then something again, like, kept touching my arm. And then one time, like, did this, like, actually, like, wanted to, like, push me back into the chair.
A
Okay.
E
We kept trying to empower Catherine.
A
Yeah.
C
The whole time, she was very put in.
E
You can get rid of me. You can move on.
C
Well, at one point, she was like, I don't know what else I can do. Yeah, I've done all that I could do. She showed me something about the land.
A
Yeah.

I don't know if it's, like, bringing up dirt or bringing in dirt for an offering to help out, but there's something. I wonder if it's tied to the floods, because there's, like, she's showing dirt underneath of the foundation, and it's, like, soaked, like.
D
Yeah, I said something.
E
You had water underneath water.

You went down, down, down under the

floor or under the wood floor. It's like everything's like, under, under, under, under. And it would make sense if that's the connection here, because this is literally under the. Under the land.

Before the night came to a close, I wanted to get Kate's final thoughts. I was especially curious what she felt might still be done to help the more positive spirits in the space and whether there was anything we could do to shift or resolve their ongoing struggle with this darker presence. We were getting the impression that, you know, she wanted the male to not be here. Then Alexis empowered her through you, and it seemed like she was responding to that. Like, she was, like, telling them, setting boundaries. That's exactly what I just told you to do. And you started doing it with the method down there. So we were like. But then she felt tired. So we're like. But Alexis says that he was sure that she had the power to get rid of him, but I don't know if she did and if he's still hiding. But also, I don't want to keep giving him energy by chasing him. But we're just trying to figure out what should we do with him next, if he's still here. Do we need to do something for Catherine and the other spirits as far as Elements elevation goes, do they need some sort of ceremony? What do you. What are your final thoughts on that?
C
I feel like there's some sort of offering that should be given to the earth here. There's something about the water. I do feel like she was able to set boundaries. I think once we're done talking about him and then we continue bringing in who's actually here and, like, the showrunners, then he disappears. I really don't think he's responsible for the glass breaking. I think that's going to keep happening because of how energy is, like, bouncing off the walls here. But I think if we were to give something to the land or do some sort of, like, healing for that, I think it would help settle things down even more, because to me, it looks like water, almost like trapped underneath that needs purged or released least.

Okay. Before I close this case, I want to be very clear about something. What I'm about to share is my theory, not fact. It's based on more than six months of research, interviews, fieldwork, hours of audio, and three overnight investigations. This is simply where all the pieces have led me. After this final investigation, on Sunday, February 15, Franklin, Alexis, and I gathered in the Kinfolk tasting room with staff members Jordan and Aaron to debrief everything that had unfolded on this case. It was long, layered and complex. And while many spirits surfaced briefly along the way, I ultimately followed the presences that consistently reappeared, interacted, and seemed to have a purpose. Within the activity at Moonshine, there were several energies that appeared but never fully developed. There was the kind gentleman with glasses and kinfolk, possibly connected to the former restaurant owner, Dennis, though I can't say that with certainty. There were children, most notably a little girl in the upstairs offices, who was sensed by the psychic mediums, yet never seemed distressed or eager to communicate. There was the mustached man that Jeffrey encountered near the patio bar, A benign presence who appeared but quietly faded into the background over the course of this investigation. And there was the teenage boy that Sarah interacted with heavily during the first overnight investigation, who then seemed to disappear entirely. Part of me still wonders whether that may have actually been the shadow presence presenting itself differently early on. But that's something I may never be able to answer. As the nights went on, however, four presences became increasingly clear. First, Catherine. Though she felt distant and fleeting early on, everything changed. During our final investigation, when Jordan was present, it seemed that Catherine was drawn to her energy. And that night, she came through strongly and unmistakably. The mediums were left with no doubt that she was there. Intelligent, protective and deeply tied to this place. Then came Henry, Catherine's father and the original owner of the property. He was a surprise, as there had been no reports tied to him before. Yet he surfaced repeatedly in sessions. References to him as Catherine's father, to this being, his place, and his consistent presence in kinfolk all aligned beautifully with the history. His energy felt calm, grounded and connected to the land. Adolf, Catherine's husband, also became clearer, Primarily in the upstairs offices. There's still a lot of uncertainty surrounding him. While Jeffrey often sensed anger around that presence, Kate never really felt. Adolf himself was aggressive, more so observant and attached to that upstairs office. It remains unclear whether some of the darker feelings attributed there belong to Adolf or possibly this other elusive negative presence. Which leads me to our final spirit, the shadow. Whatever this malevolent, elusive presence is, we may never know for sure. Theories ranged from a troubled human spirit to something tied to the land, the floods, or even something non human altogether. What we do know is that this was the presence most consistently felt, heard and physically manifested during our investigations. What stood out most was how clearly Catherine and other unseen spirits Spirits seemed to oppose it. Across sessions, it was described as not belonging there. It was mocked, called out, and resisted. The shadow, meanwhile, seemed to enjoy the Confusion, laughing and misdirecting as we tried to understand what was happening. And perhaps most troubling of all, there was a strong sense that the staff experiences. The accidents, the fear, the aggression, may not have been Catherine at all, but the shadow presence being mistaken for her. Catherine came through as exhausted, frustrated, and worried, not only for herself and the other spirits, but for the living people in this building. She warned that the shadow was learning, growing stronger, and becoming more comfortable there. Even in the final moments when she tried to stand up to it and we encouraged her, you could hear the fatigue in her voice. The shadow didn't leave. It simply retreated and hid. After all this case had ended, Lexis, Franklin and I felt it was important to share everything openly with the staff members, Jordan and Aaron, not to dismiss their experiences with Catherine, but to offer a new perspective on what might actually be driving this darker activity. Alexis suggested ways to spiritually support the positive presences in the space. Expanding offerings, including the one in Kinfolk, to include Henry and others. Also intentionally cleansing the three main hot spots with Palo Santo. And eventually, Alexis offered to return to perform a ceremony honoring the land itself. Both Jordan and Aaron were open, thoughtful, and grateful for everything that we shared. Where do you all stand with like our findings and what do you feel?
G
I mean, I feel some of it fully lines up with how we've been feeling. And I do think going forward, forward, I'm going to tell my staff to tell me more often if they experience something because going into this, hearing about all these experiences other people had that I had no idea. Like I would love to know that stuff, but it's just nice to know that the things that we're experiencing, we really are experiencing here, you know, because we are very comfortable with the spirits here and we just want them to be happy. Knowing they're not super happy makes me want to loop you in for that for sure. Because the long time spirits, I think they should be taken care of because they're part of our story. This is their story.

And while this case now may be closed in terms of investigation, I don't believe the story of Moonshine is finished. Some spirits there feel peaceful, some feel protective. And one, whatever it truly is, still feels like it's hiding in the shadows, but not unchallenged. With intention, awareness, and the work now being done to strengthen the positive presences on the property, I think this shadow won't be able to haunt Moonshine for much longer. Host: Stephen Belyeu and Night Owl Paranormal Research Society
The Night Owl team returns for a final overnight investigation at Austin’s historic—and notoriously haunted—Moonshine Bar & Grill. With new experiments and a custom-built spirit communication device, this episode dives deeper than ever into the paranormal mysteries that have confounded staff, psychics, and investigators for years. The team seeks to unravel overlapping spiritual presences, test long-developed theories, and confront the elusive oppressive energy that haunts the site. As boundaries blur between history and haunting, the story of Moonshine grows ever more complex—answers emerge, but so do bigger questions.
Sessions reveal Catherine as more central and protective than previously realized, challenging prior narratives that cast her as a source of distress.
The oppressive energy ("shadow") is not only hostile but also strategic—blocking, deceiving, and manifesting as various forms to trick mediums and staff, feeding off confusion and possibly electricity.
On this night, the paranormal activity crosses into physical space unmistakably—motions, smells, and mist are all witnessed, underscoring the increased boldness of the trickster entity.
The team encourages the positive spirits, especially Catherine, to assert boundaries and eject the shadow. Yet the outcome is unresolved; the oppressive energy persists, though weakened.
Recommendations focus on ongoing spiritual cleansing, offerings, and greater awareness among staff—bringing healing rather than just confrontation.
This final chapter in the Moonshine Bar & Grill investigation underscores the tangled, evolving nature of hauntings: old narratives challenged, persistent energies mapped, some spirits at peace, others still lurking, and the living left with more insight—but also new mysteries. The Night Owl team's methods—blending psychic, historical, and technological perspectives—invite both skepticism and awe, offering listeners a richly layered exploration of the paranormal.
