What up everyone? Welcome back to the Nikki and Bri Show. And we have a very, very, very special episode for you all today because a lot of you probably watched the Royal Rumble. So this episode is going to be a lot of Brie Mode. And that she's back. And something that's extra special is we were actually here in Philly for Monday Night Raw recording this episode. But Bri, we gotta gear this to you because you're the one who's like taking over the Internet media, TikTok x Instagram, headlines. I mean it's all about Brie mode. I don't even think people knew I was in the Rumble. We'll tell the hug.

Yeah, I mean it feels good. If 1. It's crazy to record from Philadelphia. We're here at Monday Night Raw. I haven't been to Raw and I think we were talking earlier. Seven years. It's crazy. Yeah.

[Nikki Bella]

Monday Night Raw. Yeah, Since Evolution run.

[Brie Bella]

Right? So I mean that's crazy to be recording our podcast from here and then, I mean it's been wild the last. I guess it's been 24 hours. I don't know with jet lag, I guess now more 48 hours. But it's been crazy. It's been just like the overwhelming feelings of just the love, the support, how happy everyone is. Yeah, it's been crazy. It's crazy. But I'm on cloud nine and I Haven't come off, so I'm still on the cloud.

[Nikki Bella]

Okay, well, because it is the Nikki and Bri show, we need all the details. When did you get the call? How did it get started? Obviously, I know all the details, but our listeners don't. How did you prepare?

[Brie Bella]

I mean, obviously, everyone on the show knows the journey it's been. And I feel like so many times people have heard me, like, when I was on red carpet or different interviews, you know, people always ask, like, so, Bri, you going back to wwe? And I. And I would always jokingly say, like, oh, I haven't got the call. Obviously, it wasn't a joke, but I would jokingly say it. And, you know, it's interesting because it has been a journey to get here. I. When you debuted a year ago, you know, it wasn't in my mind. And then I started to get the itch. I wanted to get back into the ring, and I tried, and the answer kept being no. It was no. And so I was like, fine. But I think what it was is timing. Sometimes I think when we feel like we're ready to do something, it's like the higher, divine timing, you know, they wait for when the timing's supposed to be really right. And, you know, it was now, and I see it now, and, you know, I've had a lot of patience, and I feel like it's just. It was meant to be this way. And it's crazy because doing it in Saudi Arabia, the first thing I thought when I got the call, I was like, I don't think they know who I am. Could I just wait to debut in Philadelphia? And they're like, the Saudi people know who you are. And I'm like, do they? But I'll admit I was stressed up until my music hit that I was gonna have zero reaction. People were gonna be like, who? Like, I thought I was gonna get maybe the who chant.

[Nikki Bella]

Like, who, who, who? Don't start that.

[Brie Bella]

But honestly, I was like, I was so stressed. Yeah. And so nervous. And I'm just going to say it. I was not expecting the reaction I got.

[Nikki Bella]

You got the pop of the night, girl. Humbly saying you got the pop of the night.

[Brie Bella]

Right? And it was.

[Nikki Bella]

And everyone's been telling you that, right?

[Brie Bella]

And I'll admit I didn't have a lot of time to train for the Rumble, but the minute I knew I was going to be in it, you saw I dedicated every day to doing something to get ready, you know, whether it was, you know, weightlifting, getting in the ring, boxing like, you name it. I was really like, I. It's been a lot of years, many years, and I'm like, I gotta do everything I can. I was going to a physical therapist because, you know, make sure the body's aligned. I was going to Rolfing or Rolfing. I can't, I don't say it right, but different, like techniques to just get my body, like aligned, feeling good, strong. And I've been training, obviously weightlifting and the gym for a while. So that part I wasn't nervous about, but it was everything else. And. And so, you know, in a short period of time, it gave me confidence and obviously, like, I'm going to keep that like determination and schedule going, moving forward. But. But yeah, I. I felt ready when I got on that flight to Saudi. But the only thing that I didn't feel ready about is how everyone would be me coming. Like being in a number in the rumble, I wasn't sure like the reaction I would get.

[Nikki Bella]

Okay, so you get the reaction, right? You're Eee Hints. Number 29, Breemo. The crowd goes crazy. What were those feelings in the moment? Okay, so we see you come out on the ramp. You give a little. I'm back. But as you're running down the ramp and the crowd is literally going wild, what was the feeling inside?

[Brie Bella]

Oh, shit. It was actually. Fire up. Breathe.

[Nikki Bella]

Fire up.

[Brie Bella]

And you know, for all of you, we had the show start at 10pm so it was late and we're all fighting jet lag. And I was delirious because, you know this.

[Nikki Bella]

You don't even know what time. Your body's like, what?

[Brie Bella]

Yeah. And like, I haven't taken a flight like that. Like, I don't. Last time I took a long flight like that, I was going to Australia like 8 years ago. I mean, so it's been a minute. And then, you know, I was like.

[Nikki Bella]

My wedding in Paris.

[Brie Bella]

That's an easy flight. That was easy. That was easier than going to Saudi Arabia.

[Nikki Bella]

No. Yeah.

[Brie Bella]

You're actually 100, right. It took me a full day to get. Because I had a connection. But so anyway, yeah, they fired me up. I will say this. The energy was so, like enormous.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah.

[Brie Bella]

And I don't think people realized so on. I don't know if it translated on tv, but it was actually a sold. I think it was sold out crowd. I mean, it was packed. The lights made you think there was empty seats. But it wasn't. It wasn't. I think people, it was.

[Nikki Bella]

It was weird. The illusion of when you would sit.

[Brie Bella]

See it I know. Like when I saw it kind of on like social videos, I'm like, wait, no, it didn't look like that in person.

[Nikki Bella]

No.

[Brie Bella]

Or sound or feel or you guys in person. It was loud.

[Nikki Bella]

Like crazy loud.

[Brie Bella]

That's why on the ramp you kind of just see me go.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah, you could see like, like a little weird.

[Brie Bella]

Yeah. And it's because I, I think I just, it was so overwhelming, the energy. And you have to think when you're a girl going in and I'm thinking, I don't know, like if I'm going to get a reaction. And that's the reaction I get. It knocked my socks off. Like, I couldn't believe it. I was just like, holy smokes. So I. It amped me up, like legit. It gave me the energy and I wasn't going to do the yes kicks. So. Wait.

So that's your feeling when you get in the ring okay, so then you get in the ring, you start to do your stuff, and then they start chanting yes. Then they start chanting, welcome back. Then they start chanting, you still got it. Then they go back to yes. And then we get eliminated, and they start chanting no. What was your feeling of them just chanting so loud to every little thing you were doing in there and chanting things that truly, like, show so much respect and, like, honor and welcome and then nostalgia. Like, what. What. What were you feeling the whole time in there?

[Brie Bella]

Gosh. I mean, I guess a feeling that I. Yeah, I feel like that everyone could relate to is that feeling when you're on cloud nine, like, you're just filled with, like, pure happiness and joy and excitement is what I felt like, you know, and they say like a little kid in a candy shop. I mean, it's like that. It was. It was really surreal, to be honest. Like, I almost felt like I was in a dream. Like, you know, in a dream when, like, you're. You know, that's what it felt like. I'm like, yeah, but I. You know what's interesting? I don't want to forget to say this. And it popped in my head, so I got. I have to.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah, you have to get it out.

[Brie Bella]

When I was backstage, there was these two extras standing back there, and I felt like. He said, he's from Mumbai.

[Caller]

He.

[Brie Bella]

He was from Mumbai in India. Yeah. I'm almost positive you said Mumbai, and you know who you are. And I'm sorry if it was somewhere else, but.

[Nikki Bella]

Well.

[Brie Bella]

Or was it Dubai? It was either Mumbai or Dubai. And so he could tell I was crazy nervous. Like, I was, like, nervous. And at this time, the r. Like, the entrances have already started. We were on, like, number four. And he looked at me, and he's like, you just gotta take deep breaths. And I'm like, like, what kind? Like, how do I breathe again?

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah.

[Brie Bella]

He goes, you gotta take six deep breaths, but you inhale, six, count, exhale, six, count. And we did it six times. And I go, will you do it? Like, coach me into this? So he did, and he would count, one, two, three. And then he. I mean, he did the counting for me. And then when I was done after six, he goes, okay, now it's time for affirmations. So he told me affirmations about me, what he sees in me. And he's like, I know who you are. I follow your career. And he said, like, really, like, touching things. I was like, oh, my gosh. And he goes, now your turn. So I go, I am. And I just. I did the whole thing. Like, I went through all my I ams to him, and he goes, now go out there. It calmed me, but then it, like, picked my chin up, rolled my shoulders back. Like, he. He. He probably doesn't even realize how much, like, he. He gave me confidence. He made me feel, like, calm, safe. Like, all these different things. I love it. And so I'm so grateful that he was there. Like, I feel like sometimes we don't know what angels will be around us. And I kind of was like, oh. It was like, I needed that. It was like an angel moment for me. And it was like, so. And hearing those chants and all of that, it was like, you do have value. You are worthy. Like. Cause sometimes I think there was a couple things that happened earlier that day that I kind of was like, shit, like, you can, like, doubt your self worth, your value. You can start to double think of, like, the positive things about you and go, like, you don't want to go in that negative space, but that can kind of start to creep in. So I was trying to, like, pump myself up. So that moment pumped me up. And then it was like, when I was out there and that happened, it's like, see, when you stay in that positive space and think, you know, you do your affirmations, do these things, it's just crazy what happens. And so it was a very magical night for me. I will never forget it, ever. It's just there was a lot of magical things, actually, that happened in Saudi Arabia for me that I will never forget. And none of it, besides being in the match, was caught on camera, but so many other things that I was like, it's going to live here in my memory bank, and I will always think about it. But I will tell you, Saudi Arabia, like, or I should say, you know, Riyadh was incredible. I mean, the people were incredible. The vibe of the city, you know, I've never been so. And I felt very, like, my spiritual feelings there. And so I actually did this really big meditation before I got picked up to the building, even the day before. And really being, like, nervous, like, why am I starting here? It makes me nervous. I feel like no one knows me. When they started coming here, I was already out of wwe, so I had so many different feelings going, and I'm like, bri, you just got to sit down. I did a really long meditation. And then everything started to feel like. Like you are here because they're inspired by you. They feel you. Like, you empower each other in ways you don't even realize and you're going to know it. And I told you this before, I literally, I told Nicole about this meditation and all these visions and things I was feeling before we even made our way to the building. Yeah, like I was telling her, I go, it's weird. Like all this stuff came to me in this meditation and then look what happened.

[Nikki Bella]

Right? Well, and when you were telling me about that meditation and when I watched your entrance back, it was so amazing because the camera caught there was. Did you see the little girl in the audience who freaked out when you came out? And I'm so happy that the camera caught that. But it just reminded me the conversation you and I had when you were like, all this came to me like my debut was meant to be here in Saudi. And you were talking about the girls and the women and so many, you know, even the men that are inspired by us, all the people. It was funny because, see, I had to get to Saudi first. And what's funny is what went around everywhere is you all thought when we were talking our truth and we ended it with like, we're headed to the airport that like went around like people thought I did whatever. But no, we're actually heading to la. I had to get hair put in.

As you can tell. I got some hair put in too.

[Nikki Bella]

Even though I have a hair.

[Brie Bella]

But Nikki's like, I have long hair, but Nikki's like, girl, you need a little more length and like some fullness.

[Nikki Bella]

But we went to like LA to just, you know, do our hair and there's get our gear. So I didn't give it away in that way. But then I thought, oh my goodness, I almost did, but. So I had to head to Saudi before Bri. And it was the first time I had been there and I was so just. I was so impressed by Riyadh. I mean, the first night, the girls and I, some of the girls in the locker room and I went to Mr. Chow's, Mr. Chow's and had incredible non alcoholic Prosecco and mocktails. And the food was amazing. And down the street they had Ralph Lauren's, Ralph's Coffee. And then their own stuff in these gorgeous gyms with infrared saunas and cold plunges and compression pants and red light therapy. Like, it was amazing. The food was amazing. The service and the people, they were just, they were so kind and welcoming and excited. So it was like, loved having those few days. And I hated that, you know, you and I were so apart. Cause Brie had to be in another hotel. So we didn't get to see each other, but she was so worried about like, do they know us? Do they know me? And I went to Sneaker Con and I was like, bri, I don't know because I. I slept all day and then everyone's leaving for Sneaker Con and I wanted to show up cuz you guys know I love kicks. So I just threw a hat on. I saw my hair in a braid, like I was still like half asleep. And I was like, yeah, Bri, I don't know if they do. But then I was at Smackdown cuz I had to do a panel. Becky lynch and I did this fitness panel that we left because it was a women's fitness panel, but it was like all men but one woman in the audience. So we're like, we're just going to have to have fun with them. And they were so amazing. So when I did my walkout and how loud they were and the hall of Famer chants and Bella army and seeing some of my Bella army members in the front, I was like, wait a minute, there's Bella army in Saudi. And so that's when I told Bri. I go, bri, no, they actually know. And then Nadia and I had a meet and greet later and that's when they were telling me like, no. So many of us grew up on total Bellas and total divas here. They all knew us so well. And when you do see the reactions, you know, from yours to mine to Natty's, like, you can tell they were raised with us, they were inspired by us, motivated. And you know, even in our meet and greets, they were all men and you then, okay, so the same group, they asked me about brief Friday night. I was like, I don't know. Then I was so happy we got to see them all again Saturday night because they were. How much fun were those guys at the meet and greet and to hear their stories and there was twins in there, it was really cool. But for me, their energy was incredible.

For me, it was so cool to be in the ring and to hear your music hit and feel all that. I was so beyond happy and, like, also, like, shocked and like, oh, my gosh, just to hear the crowd, but hear all the different chants. I was sitting there like, oh, my goodness. And I love the fact when we got eliminated, they're like, no, no. I'm like, can we take this crowd everywhere we go, please? Like, it was so amazing.

It's crazy because when I was talking about the preparation part, it's like, you can never fully prepare. You can always prepare in ring and.

[Nikki Bella]

On your strongest you've ever been.

[Brie Bella]

Yeah, but as in. And I mean, like, you can always prepare for, like, your in ring work and all that. But, like, as prepare as, like, how's the crowd gonna be with you? What? And so a big. You knew this. I wasn't gonna do the yes kicks at all.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah.

[Brie Bella]

I was like, no, I. I want to do, like, of course, like, my missile drop kick, Brimo knee, You know, I said, I really want to concentrate doing, like, tag team stuff with Nikki and a producer brought up. They're like, why don't you do the yes kicks? Like, the crowd will love it. And I'm like, will they? I don't know. And I go, honestly, I don't really feel it. I haven't done the yes kicks forever. I mean, it's. I haven't done the yes kicks since pre pandemic. I'm like, I don't know. And I didn't bring my kick pad, so I was kind of like, I don't know. They're like, you're soft on it. You'll be fine. And I'm like. So I decided it was probably two hours before showtime. I'm like, you know, I feel like I should do the yes kicks. I'm like, I'm gonna do it. And a couple other people were like, no, do it. And I'm like. And I kept saying no to everyone for two days straight. I felt like. Cause, you know, but then I finally decided, like, you know what I'm doing. Maybe it was like four hours before the show or something. And I was like, okay, like, go into a room and just try to, like, you know, like, pretty much kick the wall like 50 times. But I was. That was the one thing I Was nervous doing, like, in ring, I was so nervous to do the yes kicks. Cause they're obviously my husbands.

Yeah.

And I can't do them like him. And. But I didn't want to, like, fail.

Him or, you know, made him did it. Great. Yeah.

And it's funny because I usually will end with, like, one last big kick, but because of the crowd, like, you guys can tell, like, it took over me. I was so worked up and just wanted to chant yes with you guys. So, you know, it was a really incredible night and one I definitely won't forget. And for all of you, none of.

Well. And I will tell you, like, my kids watch that, and Buddy's never, ever seen me wrestle. And Birdie, you know, she was young, but they were blown away.

And I hate what ifs. But I thought, oh, it could be a what if. And the fact that it's actually happening and that we're going for those tag titles and, you know, like, we're gonna be part of that tag division. It's exciting, and it's something we've always wanted, but it's also fun.

I mean, getting in the ring and just, it was so much fun to go up against, like, Bailey and Lyra and have a stare down with Rio and even get, like, taken out by judgment Day. I was probably like, all of you. I. You know, watching the Kabuki warriors has always been my favorite. They're everything, so it'd be an honor to step in the ring with them. There's a lot. And I mean, actually, Lash, we owe her because she took us out. So Lash and Nyah, I mean, the list goes on. This I will say, I have never seen a tag division be so stacked like it is right now.

And. And with meaning, I think, I mean, when you look at it, the tag division, really, I felt like, was a massive part of the Royal Rumble for sure. And stories, and we've never had that before. And when you look at the judgment day and Rio and Bailey and Lyra, Kabuki warriors last night, everyone. And even Charlotte and Lexley, who kicked.

All the tag teams have meaning. There's, like, heart and soul to it.

I think because since I've been back, that's all I've wanted so bad. And it felt like moments, it wasn't going to happen at all. And I mean, you guys, this all happened, like, weeks before, so it's been. It was a. Just all happened so fast, and then I had to, like, take it in and it just didn't, like, feel real. And then, you know, I'm in, like, a full body suit and I'm like, just in a different air. There was just so much going on that was just different. You know what I mean? But goodness, it couldn't have been any better than.

Love you, Jasmine. It felt. It felt incredible to know that I was coming back and to be a part of the Royal Rumble. You know, I, I honestly, and I know I said this earlier, but I, I'm going to. I'll say it again. I honestly didn't think I would ever be back here. I just thought it was just a set in stone.

And so I, I, I'll be honest. I lost hope. Especially throughout the holidays. It just. I started to look at my 20, 26. I had to start planning things. I actually almost was gonna go film this Fox show, like, all of January. Like, there was stuff, like, I started to plan out and. Cause I just lost hope. I was like, all right, so let's see what else I should do. What other opportunities? Because people were calling and asking me to do some stuff, and I kept kind of declining because I was really hopeful that maybe I could have a run. And then it's probably Thanksgiving time. I'm like, all right. It just seems that's it. So I lost hope, and I started to look at how I could redirect and find other opportunities. So I did. I started, you know, having those talks, and then all of a sudden, you know, I. It just. I don't know what kind of shift, what kind of energy happened, but then I got the call, and it felt good. And the best part about it, it wasn't just about Rumble. It was about coming back, being home.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah.

And, like, actually getting to wrestle and come back for, you know, not obviously forever, but as long as, like, I can hang and which, you know, I'm hoping is a couple years.

So two years ago, I was sitting with the shaman, and he goes to me and goes, you're just Living so comfortable, it's time for you to be a little uncomfortable. And I'm like, no, I think I've been uncomfortable for so much of my life. It's actually nice to be comfortable.

Yo, chickens.

[Brie Bella]

You know, he goes, but that's not your sole purpose. And that's honestly you. You'll never. You need to challenge yourself. You need to get uncomfortable, because that's when you're. You're blooming, you're blossoming, you're finding more things about who you are. And I was like, damn. But he was right. Because, you know, the day those butterflies stop for anything, I feel like, you know, you lose drive, you lose, like, so many different things of you. It. It feels so good that I walked into the Royal Rumble having butterflies, challenging myself. Even, like, the training. I knew I had a short amount of time, so I came up with the very Nikki, a very intense schedule that I stuck to every day. I got very uncomfortable, and I was very uncomfortable from the moment you heard. And. But for all of you listening who feel very comfortable, I know it's nice because I was there for a long time, but it feels even better to get uncomfortable, to get those butterflies, to challenge yourself, to see what you're capable of. I was willing to go into the Rumble and fail if that's what it was supposed to be. But I was like, sure. Darn. Not gonna let myself go in there without trying. I'm like, I'm gonna give it my best. I'm gonna do this, and I'm gonna continue to do that. And I know every week I'm gonna have butterflies. I'm gonna have them tonight in about two hours.

[Nikki Bella]

Two hours? Girl, we go live in an hour.

Oh, shoot. So in one hour, I gotta get dressed. So look at. The butterflies are starting. Here we go.
