Wow. Like just so full circle. I feel like there's so much I want to get into around the championship because you know you've, you came here and we got to really know your journey.

But to like just talk to you a few months ago and hear your journey. And now we're here, your champion. One of the biggest championships as a woman you can win, right? The wwe right now we're on the

top of Mount Everest.

We are. And you literally were on the Top of Mount Everest. Go into the Feeling one being at SummerSlam, coming out because you're so over the crowd. You are literally one of the most fan favorites out of the men and the women on both shows right now. What was it like coming out there? Take us through the match. Take us through the win.

[Chelsea Green]

Okay, so I feel like, for some reason, I wasn't nervous. I thought I would be nervous when this moment came, if it ever came. I thought I would be so nervous. I felt very at peace. I was like, whatever happens, happens. Going out there and going out, like, I've been doing this long enough where I can see every face in the audience. I can take everything in. I can usually hear what's going on, what people are screaming from ringside. I'm. But in that moment when I was making my entrance, I do feel like I kind of blacked out, and I turned into, like, a little bit of, like, a pop star. And it was like. It felt like my concert, you know? Like, as I'm walking down to the ring and, like, you'll see, like, I get into the ring and I'm having so much fun. I'm, like, talking shit to Tiffany. I'm waving at my mom and my dad. Like, I felt like it was like I was truly so at peace. And then it changed throughout the match. I started getting more emotional as the match went on because I knew what was inevitably coming. And when I was dangling from the. The ladder and Charlotte and Jade took that last bump, I felt, like, electric. Yeah. Like, I was getting chills. Like, I felt just like the whole crowd started, like, rumbling, just like, oh, my God, this is our moment. And when I got to the top, like, not to skip past everything, because that. I did that at record speed. I just hauled ass up there. But when I got to the top, you see on my face this. That I'm, like, almost about to cry before I take the title down, because it did feel like. It felt like this was all worth it. Like, 12, 13 years. All the things I've missed. I've missed all my best friends, weddings, their births of their kids, who they all call me Auntie. I missed my dad's wedding. I've broken bones. I had heart surgery. So much has led me to. To, like, scurrying up that ladder.

Yeah.

[Chelsea Green]

And Bailey texted me the other day and said, girl, I've never seen someone climb a ladder so fast. And I was like. Like, part of me in that moment was, like, if I don't get up there and climb that ladder and Grab that title down. They could change the finish. Anything could happen. If I stand there, they could. Someone could push me off this ladder.

[Nikki Bella]

We've been deprived so much. It's crazy, right? It's like, this is.

[Chelsea Green]

All these thoughts going on. I'm like, the trauma. Nope, not today. It's gonna still be my moment. So, like, I feel like I'm still on cloud nine. I'm riding a high, as you know. I've had no sleep, but, like, it doesn't even matter.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah.

[Chelsea Green]

Like, I'm trying to make the most out of every single second.

[Nikki Bella]

And you should.

I have to.

You have to.

I have not ever been handed anything. I have to.

Yes, you have to. And you weren't, though, handed this either, because you've worked so hard. And, you know, there's some of us that understand where. How we have to really get ourselves.

Like the grind of not being a chosen one.

[Nikki Bella]

Exactly.

[Chelsea Green]

I always use that term. A chosen one.

[Nikki Bella]

Yes. And you're so right.

[Chelsea Green]

It's not like, look, if I was a chosen one, oh, my God, I would love that. Yeah, it's great for them. It's no shade on them. But there are chosen ones and there aren't. And fans are privy to that now.

[Nikki Bella]

They are. And there's something to be said about us that work really hard to have a connection, but then we just naturally have a connection, and that is Bri and I with the Bella army and moments that we had. And they do feel so meaningful.

[Chelsea Green]

But it's because you're authentic. Yeah.

[Nikki Bella]

And you.

[Chelsea Green]

And you don't, like, you just say how you feel, and they connect with that.

[Nikki Bella]

They do.

[Chelsea Green]

And they connect with, like, seeing. Seeing you on social media, doing real life things, wearing no makeup, like, being a real human being. Because at the end of the day, like, yes, we live luxurious lives. Like, you know, we. We. We get paid great, great amounts to do what we do, but, like, at the end of the day, like, I'm still just a girl who wants to be on my couch without her makeup on, with my dogs.

Right. Oh, I love that. And, you know.

Yeah, sometimes.

Yeah, mostly, you know, I want to go to the moment when you were dangling from the ladder, and the minute by the way you get up like Undertaker. Like, that was so good, Brian. I loved it.

Nikki, I have the biggest look.

I keep getting chills for you.

I have the biggest bruises on the back of my legs.

I have to show you. It's so.

I want to see. But. And I know, like you said, you just. You had all these emotions. But when you first, like, sat up to hear the crowd, like, what was that like?

[Chelsea Green]

I mean, I was actually just telling some of the production team because everyone has been so kind. Like, so many people were like, I cried. Like, it felt like you were doing this for me too. Like, for everyone who hasn't been seen or like, has tried to get that, like, promotion and hasn't. And so I was just telling the production team that it was even better than I had dreamt of. And when I dreamt of it, it was so. It was so far fetched.

Yeah.

[Chelsea Green]

It was so, like, I hope this happens. I wish it would happen, but, like, it probably won't. And I've come to terms with that too. Like, I've come to terms with, like, the fact that I've done enough to make myself proud and my future family proud.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah.

[Chelsea Green]

And. And then when it happened, it was so much better. Like, every face in the crowd was smiling. Everyone was cheering, everyone was screaming. I heard my mom from across the ring. Get up, Chels. Like, everything. I heard it all. And I was actually upside down. And a referee was, like, saying sweet nothings to me as I was upside down. Yeah. And I have to figure out who it was.

[Nikki Bella]

You remember that stuff with the refs? Like, it's crazy. What the refs say means so much.

[Chelsea Green]

And the way that they treat you.

[Nikki Bella]

Yes.

[Chelsea Green]

I have some of the greatest relationships with the referees who are so kind and, like, understanding to us in the ring.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah. Like, when they're like, keep going, you're doing so great. Or all those. I. I remember even Scotty Armstrong would tell me to breathe and like. But there's. When they're encouraging, it helps so much.

[Chelsea Green]

Whereas on the. On the other hand, it's like when they're screaming at you.

[Nikki Bella]

Oh, that's.

[Chelsea Green]

It's very frustrating. Yeah. So it's hard. Them, like, like, one of them was like this. And like, you got this. Girl, look around. Take this moment in, like, okay, girl, go. And normally, like, I don't need those cues, but it was so nice. Like, man.

[Nikki Bella]

Cause you probably did. You probably took it in, Right.

[Chelsea Green]

I forced myself to look around and, like, have that moment that I'm sure on camera for the television audience, like, made all the difference.

[Nikki Bella]

Yes. All the difference. And, you know, you touched on it a little bit. And I. I feel the same. It's. It's so hard to explain the feeling when you win a championship, because, yes, we have predetermined finishes and as we've seen on Unreal there's discussions about who wins, but that feeling is not scripted of what it is. It's the, it's so emotional and, and I think it's because everyone's energy and then just being with the girls when they won the tag titles at WrestleMania. There's a difference in a stadium winning. Big difference. I was so emotional and I didn't even win the tag tit. So when those, when they were crying, I could only imagine your feeling. But it is weird because everything like in your thoughts, everything that you've done does flash before your eyes.

You've got like a movie playing. You do in front of you.

[Nikki Bella]

Yes.

[Chelsea Green]

And that's exactly it. Like, man, it just like it was all worth it in like the biggest way. Because I just feel like we do go through so much. We never get time off. This job is 365 days. Even when it's not like, even when you're only on smackdown and you're not doing appearances and stuff like that, this job takes over. Whether it's coming up with outfits or designing gear or practicing your moveset, like whatever it is. And so to then be in a stadium and I felt like they all felt it too. And they all knew my history, which is why they were cheering the way they were cheering.

Exactly.

[Chelsea Green]

Cause they know what I've been through and they know I'm not a chosen one. They're like, Michael Hayes made that very clear.

And just know that. So first of all, I'm not an emotional person at all. I also don't hold grudges in fact, I forget. And a lot of times my girlfriends have to remind me, like, we don't like that person.

I'm like, oh, yeah. Sorry, sorry, sorry. I was momentarily. I forgotten I was nice to them, but I was so emotional that entire day. And I had seen Michael Hayes and he had given me, like, words of encouragement. But back to unreal. I watched it and I didn't think anything of it.

And then when I started getting flooded with text, I changed my mind. Like, oh, yeah. That was kind of mean. That was kind of rude. That was like, well, what's sad is you're just.

You were all always used to hearing that.

Yes.

Do you know what I mean?

It was so, like, ingrained in me that actually.

Even though I don't feel any type of way about it, I have to dedicate this win to him because I'm the petty queen that I am. Like, the fans need to see that.

Hey, sometimes we gotta eat our words and we gotta take accountability. Yes. This is actually a perfect segue for a question I have, because. So whether it's about athletics or someone in their job or what it. Whatever it may be, you were always heard one thing, which is crazy, because now we could see that you weren't even affected by what he said because you heard it so much, but everyone around you was like, that's not okay. Yeah, you come. And now you're a champion. You're one of the top champions for female in this company. What, like, what can you say to people about that journey of, like, giving people middle fingers, the not giving up? Like, how did Chelsea Green do it? Like, take us in your mind?

I feel like at the end of the day, I was born into a family that's very much. We're not quitters and we don't cry about things. It is what it is. Like, move on. You didn't get what you wanted. Move on. Nobody's having a pity party for you. My dad always was like, okay, and. Yeah, so what are you gonna do? Like, I don't know why you're telling me, you know, So I. I was, like, instilled with that in me. But I. I truly think it's. It's like, you need to be so happy with yourself and what you're doing outside of work.

Yeah.

And. Or if you're an actress, like, you need to be. You need to have hobbies, you need to have other things, because at the end of the day, I can turn this off. I can clock out. I go to my acting classes. And that fills my cup in another way. I have a great home life, you know, where I'm, like, able to decorate my home and, like, do things that make me happy, do my landscaping. Like, all that stuff fills my cup. So when I get to work, it's just a bonus.

It was so exhausting and so fulfilling.

My poor babies. I have a little handicapped puppy, and she. Her brain has been damaged so badly. But I can tell in other ways. And my whole heart just bursts when she, like, shows me a little bit of affection. So I just want to go home and see my baby girl.

And we decided together that I would come back to WWE so that I wouldn't have any resentment towards us and our future family. But now I've done the thing.

So if it happens, like, God willing, I would be so. I would be so happy.
