On this soul-refreshing episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, the twins slow it down and reflect on something they (and so many of us) are constantly chasing: balance. To set the tone, the they kick-off the episode with an Inspiration Affirmation— a mantra that they found and really connected to during a morning power walk. “Balance isn’t something you find, it’s something you create,” Nikki & Brie open up about the highs and chaos of their non-stop lifestyle—and the intentional steps they’re taking to find calm in the midst of it all. They talk co-parenting, gardening goals, and that craving for a “soft life” while still wanting to do it all. The FOMO can be so real! From Turkish soap operas and debates about putting ginger in the fridge, to goals of being a BBQ badass and building their dream Bonita Bonita winery, it’s a heartfelt check-in on living between the push and the pause—and why sometimes, just planting tomatoes can bring peace. The takeaway is: create the space and the t...

What up, everyone? Welcome back to another episode of the Nikki and Bri Show. And today we're going to do things a little differently. Oh, I love different. Don't you love different?
Brie Bella
Wait, I thought we talked about this last episode. You don't.
Nikki Bella
Well, I'm a creature of habit when it comes to five star hotels, caviar and champagne. You're right.
Brie Bella
Oh, my gosh.
Nikki Bella
It's crazy. But when it comes getting so schedule.
Brie Bella
And I don't know all this, it's fine.
Nikki Bella
It's if it's a little mess. Yeah, sometimes. Yeah, there's a lot of mess in my life. That's all right.
Brie Bella
You are a messy girl.
Nikki Bella
Oh, you are too, baby girl. I think we all are. We all got a little mess in.
Brie Bella
The kitchen and I don't even mind.
Nikki Bella
Right? Okay, so how we wanted to start today's episode is actually start it with some inspiration affirmation. Because Bri and I, we were power walking. Of course, you know us in our power walks and a lot comes up in these power walks. A lot of light bulbs go go off or realizations or just great conversation. So we thought, you know what? Today let's start with inspiration affirmation. Because there's something we really want to talk about. And sometimes when we start with a quote, it leads us into such incredible wisdom. I feel like our own wisdom, you.
Brie Bella
Know that, Brie, Nikki.
Nikki Bella
Wisdom. You know what I mean? But it's. It's wisdom of 41 years of a journey, you know what I mean? So we've picked up a lot of things.
Brie Bella
Very true.
Nikki Bella
Give yourself credit.
Brie Bella
I'm gonna give myself credit.
Nikki Bella
So today's inspiration, affirmation, and what is going to be the foundation of this episode is this quote that Bri and I found and we really connected to. And the quote is, balance is not something you find, it's something you create. And I feel like that's always a big conversation with us, Bri, whether we're on our power walks and. And we touc it here, I think quite a bit in certain ways, very surface right here at the Nicki and Brie show. But it's. So we come back from our long trips or, you know, work weeks, whatever it may be. And a lot of the times when Bri and I are on our power walks, we're like, how is it that we always say we want to find balance, but we never feel like we can?
Brie Bella
Well, and it's interesting because when Nikki did ask me this and we were starting to talk, I told her. I go, because sometimes I feel like we expect people to balance our lives out and we don't do it ourselves. I go, I think we just think, like, all of a sudden it's going to happen. So when we read this quote, I'm like, see, I'm like, this is it. This is why we have these conversations that feel like sometimes they go in circles. Because I was like, maybe we expected just to work itself out then, right? Us doing it.
Nikki Bella
Yeah. And it is true. Like, I get it. We do need to create the balance. That's. That's our job in finding that. And I was speaking with someone recently, and they were saying, like, hey, you know, when you open up more space in your life, that's when more stuff comes in. But stuff that's supposed to be meant for you in life won't come until there's space. And I was like, oh, wow. I. I didn't think of it like that. I guess I do so many things because I look at, like, you know, I can't. I don't know exactly. But, like, when you look at a web and, like, your big circle is, like, the main goal, and then you do all the little sticks and little circles for all the things that can create this little think bubbles, you know what I mean? And that, that creates the big overall empire. It's all these different components make it really big. And so that's how I've always, even since I've been young, how I've always done my journaling, my. My process of like how I. I reach goals. But when that was told to me, I was like, wow, I never thought about that way. So do less. And I probably will gain more open up space and like more comes or things that are meant for me don't come until I open up that space and which means like opening to receive, right? Yeah.
Brie Bella
Which I actually, I mean, I feel like, you know, we've learned a lot of that in the last couple years and I feel like I've actually done a good job at creating space to see what will be next.
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
And sometimes what is next is that my chickens lay more eggs than they did the week before. But at the same time, that's very gratifying for me and makes. Makes things feel like they're growing. And there's something, you know, that, that feels great about that. So I do think that, you know, one who, whoever did tell you that is spot on and it is correct. And if that hit you hard, what I feel, Nicole, is that you needed that because maybe you feel like you have no space for anything to come in because you feel like you are. The plate is very full over full too much, right? You know.
Nikki Bella
No, it's true. I. And I was telling you this Brie on our walk since I've been home from our crazy two week journey, like crazy just two weeks more than ever, I felt the need to be out in mother Nature. I was like, I felt like I was seen differently. When I finally made it back to Napa Valley and I was like, oh, I just feel like I could breathe again. There's no big building, there's no airports. There's no busy city life. Like I realized I was craving back to being in the country. And I'm like, oh my gosh, I just love where I live. I love how I'm just surrounded by mountains and vineyards and trees and flowers and not a lot of people. And I love this and the fresh air and crisp and all these things. Crispy air. You know, Northern Cal, we're so spoiled with that. Right? We are. Our mornings and evenings, like, even if the sun's out during the day, which it's been cold, which is crazy, but we're just so lucky here in Northern California. But I just was like, oh, my gosh, I. I want this. And then I just recently binged a show. You know, Brie and I love turkey shows on Netflix. They're dubbed in English. But we just, like, Right. Weren't we saying that? You were saying that.
Brie Bella
Yeah.
Nikki Bella
I mean, a lot of different. It's crazy, but there was one, and Brie's like, oh, I saw that, because I was thinking about bringing it, but I'm like, gosh, I'm just feeling really connected to this, too. But it's this woman who husband's husband dies, and her and her daughter end up moving back to where she grew up. And she was like, oh, I don't want to move back there. Small town. And. And then she starts to work at a flower coffee shop and then falls in love with doing flower bouquets and then goes to the flower field. And how simple her life becomes. But beautiful. I'm like, I just. I binge it because I felt obsessed with it. Like, I wanted to see what she was going to do next. And I was like, gosh, how easy and beautiful does that sound? But I feel like it's like my soul screaming about, like, balance. Do less open up. But it is weird how much I've realized I need to be more. Like, how much I just love being in Mother Nature and how much I just. I love being surrounded by the beauty of it, the flower. Because also, being in springs, we're seeing everything bloom, and I'm finding myself. If you look at my camera roll, I do this. You and I are the same. We always talk about it. We do this with full moons and sunrises and sunsets. We take so many photos of it. And then, like, I'm the same with flowers and trees. Like, oh, my gosh, look at how that's blooming. That's gorgeous.
Brie Bella
And I think it's all for free.
Nikki Bella
All for free.
Brie Bella
All we have to do is take care of it.
Nikki Bella
Right?
Brie Bella
You know, Nikki, sometimes I don't even know what my travel plans are gonna look like. But I do know I want the place to feel personal. That's what I love about Airbnb.
Nikki Bella
Oh, my gosh.
Brie Bella
I agree.
Nikki Bella
I mean, I think of some of the trips that I have this summer, and I always think of, like, what's really important to me. And it's always, like, staying within my, well, goals. And sometimes it's just really hard to do at a hotel. Like, I want to be somewhere that has a kitchen and where I know I could grocery shop and I can have my food in the kitchen. I could wake up at any time, brew my own coffee, make my own food. Oh, my goodness. To have a home that also has a gym and just know that whether I'm on vacation or I'm somewhere for a long period of time for business, that I could stay within my routine. That it literally is home away from home. Those are things that are really important for me. They also then make me even happier when I travel, that I know I'm landing and I'm going somewhere that feels personal and that has me stay in routine. Hey, you said it earlier. I am creature of habit. So put me in a place that lets me feel all. Feel all that stay, stay in my routine.
Brie Bella
Well, that is really smart. And yes, I do believe that will make your vacation better. So whatever your travel priorities are, they can be taken care of with Airbnb. Want a big kitchen? Want a gym like Nikki? Somewhere you can bring your dog like me? Well, Airbnb, that's what they will do. It's my favorite way to travel. Hands down, Nikki, life can get really busy.
Nikki Bella
Really busy. I mean, I would say it's been busy for all of us.
Brie Bella
I know. And sometimes we just need to take a breather, sit down and ask ourselves one very important question. Question.
Nikki Bella
What's that? Brie?
Brie Bella
Have you had your Hershey's?
Nikki Bella
I sure have had my Hershey's Brie. And you know what? When you need to brighten up your day or even put a smile on your face, grab the classic creamy texture and pure milk chocolate flavor of Hershey's milk chocolate.
Brie Bella
Whether you're eating it on the go, breaking off a few pieces for s' mores night, or treating yourself to something sweet, Hershey's milk chocolate checks all the boxes.
Nikki Bella
It sure does. You want to know what one of my favorite moments with Hershey's chocolate is? Teo? And I like, I love it. Because you know me, I'm chocolate lover. But now I have a son who's a chocolate lover. So we split bars all the time. It's just such a moment for us, a very happy moment. We look at each other. He always ends up getting chocolate all over his face. But it's just such a sweet moment that I find myself always reaching for a Hershey bar.
Brie Bella
Always. I mean, we love making s' mores in my family. So every time I bust out a Hershey bar, my kids start screaming with excitement because they know it's about to be s' more time. So for all of you, shop for Hershey's milk chocolate now at A store.
Nikki Bella
Near you found wherever candy is sold. But it brought up on our walk this morning of, you know, Bri and I, one of our dreams and our. Our goal is to hopefully open up the doors by the time we're 50. But we've. We've always wanted a winery. But to own a winery in Northern California is insanely expensive. And our goal is to get there one day for Bonita Bonita to have its own winery. And to be out in the fields, like, knowing, like, it's ours, like, that part is ours, would be incredible. When we were talking about how we want people to feel when they drive up and the trees and the flowers they see and. And that made my soul, like, be set on fire. Like, I was like. Like, we both were so excited talking about it and how we want to do it and. You know what I mean?
Brie Bella
Oh, yeah, for sure. I mean, I think it's important, too, in life when you're, you know, in these moments, and all of a sudden you realize, like, oh, why am I craving this? Or daydreaming about it, like, not to fully act on it. I'm not telling you. You can't go just all of a sudden do have a winery. But, like, there's something there. And I think that's why it's important to write things down or wonder why and, like, kind of indulge in, like, whatever that feeling is and, like, seek it out.
Nikki Bella
Right.
Brie Bella
You know, I think you always have to be aware of, like, the things you're daydreaming about and. And yearning for.
Nikki Bella
Totally. And it's made me wonder, like, when I sit there and go, how do I create balance? Then, like, I'm. I'm doing what I'm supposed to, like, and then I realized, like, you just gotta say no more. Like, no, no, not no more. Do you know what I'm saying? No, as in more. I need more. I need. Why is that so hard to say right now?
Brie Bella
Because it could go so many different ways.
Nikki Bella
It can go so many different ways, which is weird. Um, and I need to just do that more and create that open space, have more stillness and just. Yeah. Need to create that. There was other quotes that I saw, and I liked how one of them said, like, you must learn to live comfortably between effort and surrender. Oh, my gosh, that's so true. I'm like, is my whole life just effort? Like, do I not surrender?
Brie Bella
But what would you surrender?
Nikki Bella
Like, no, but I was just saying.
Brie Bella
That you surrender yourself.
Nikki Bella
Well, that's why I was saying, I guess I look at it all and I go, but what would I. And that's when I'm like, oh, maybe you just say yes too much to things. Like, which is true. You know, you do.
Brie Bella
But I mean, I feel like you're, you're better at like, figuring out what to kind of say no to.
Nikki Bella
Right.
Brie Bella
Big deal. But I mean, it's interesting because I feel like there's always, there's that side where you don't want to have the what ifs. Like, you feel like you don't want to miss out on an opportunity, and then what if that was the opportunity, like, the one that was meant for you?
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
So it is, it's really hard to like, really sort through the things you want to do in life from the things like, you daydream about. And I don't know, it's. I think that's like the hard part is just really, just having clarity.
Nikki Bella
No, it is. Well, and it's about, you know, something else said it right. It's about the holding on and letting go. So what do you feel like you could let go of? And I think that's what I, I get scared of.
Brie Bella
What could you let go of?
Nikki Bella
Well, that's what I have to think about because I, I don't want to let go of anything because I work hard on everything. So I know, like, stuff will be success and stuff will be retirement and stuff, you know, will put me in a very comfortable situation, at least. I think I've worked really hard for certain things, but, like, right now, I don't know what I would let go of. That's where I think of. I think everything's so perfectly placed right now. Like I, I.
Brie Bella
Then why did you crave? Why do you crave then, feeling like you need balance?
Nikki Bella
Well, I don't. There's, there is a little bit of off balance at times, but then I'm like, is that travel? And does my body just not adapt old to travel anymore? I don't know. These are questions I have to ask myself and journal about knowing, like, what is it? What, what feels? What's the off balance? And I think too, when you're adapting to co parenting and different things like, that throws off a lot of. I don't like to miss days. So I make work around the days I don't have Mateo that are travel and have you seen me? The things I say no to. If it is a day that interferes with the day of Mateo, I'm like, sorry, can't do it unless it's something that he can come to. But other than that, like, what's crazy.
Brie Bella
Because you would think co parenting, because you only, you know, get your kid for 50 of the time, would feel like you have all this time. But, man, when I see you with the co parenting stuff, I'm like, that looks exhausting.
Nikki Bella
But it's because I. When I'm with Tay, I want to give Tay all my time.
Brie Bella
I don't even know. Always the figuring out.
Nikki Bella
No, but. Oh, that's the thing. It's like, it's crazy. And then just to make sure, like, everything gets done on days that I don't have him. And then you put in travel, because you and I, you know, a lot of our work is travel.
Brie Bella
And that could be a lot of. What makes you feel off balance, too, is like you're trying to balance more than just, you know, your schedule, his schedule. It's like a new type of schedule. Co parenting then comes into play.
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
And I think of a lot of parents that co parent, like, that has to be hard. That that has to, you know, make things difficult.
Nikki Bella
I mean, yeah, it is hard work, but it's just like that. And actual work that pays the bills is a part of life. And I guess I go back to not the things that I have to do about the balance. It's, I think, for me, making space for my ambitions. And I feel life isn't all about doing what you have to, but also finding room for the wants. Right. And that's where I feel where I lack the balance in if, you know, I mean, like, okay, so look, traveling I know is tough, right? And I think what got to me when we were talking about the past two weeks is then you have the delays, right? And then it makes you think, like, was this, Is this worth it? Am I going? Should I be home? For sure.
Brie Bella
I mean, Brian and I moved to Phoenix, Arizona, for the simple fact of having a really great airport close by.
Nikki Bella
Right.
Brie Bella
But in that, we also realized we don't want to live by an airport because a lot comes with that.
Nikki Bella
Right.
Brie Bella
The only thing that was like a major. There was a couple positives. One being by mom and J.J. and then you. But and having. Being at the airport, would it take us like 10, 15 minutes? It was incredible. And Phoenix harbor, so easy.
Nikki Bella
Right?
Brie Bella
But then there was so many negatives for us. Like, you know, it's just a lot came with that. So Brian and I thought, you know what? It's worth it for us to live in the country and drive. Like, we drive an hour and A half to an airport's wild, right. And you have to park and get through.
Nikki Bella
Yeah. Which that it's weird. It hasn't bothered me at all.
Brie Bella
The driving part.
Nikki Bella
I love driving SFO actually. Like, it's a beautiful drive. I mean, don't get me wrong, sometimes traffic, the traffic, Camp Bay Bridge, anyone.
Brie Bella
Who'S in when it is smooth and there is zero traffic, you're like, I love this drive totally when there's traffic. But so that's, you know, it was really great for Brian and I to get that clarity to understand. Like, for us, putting in the extra effort of getting to an airport actually meant we enjoyed where we were living because it meant we were away from everything.
Nikki Bella
Right.
Brie Bella
Which is what we want.
Nikki Bella
Totally.
Brie Bella
This podcast is brought to you by Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues Nikki I love spring. I love when everything blooms. I like when I see all the flowers, the trees turn green. But the one thing that can disrupt spring for me is my whole family gets the worst allergies.
Nikki Bella
Oh yeah, that time of year, the bloomin the boogies.
Brie Bella
You know it.
Nikki Bella
And it's the that time of year the flowers are blooming and birds are chirping.
Brie Bella
And also that time when allergies can test you and show up when you least expect. But with Kleenex Ultra Soft Tissues, you can be ready to face them, whether.

Nikki Bella
And I want like see, this is like where I always get Is. I'm not saying, like, I. There's just so much I get to be a part of that I'm so grateful for. So these opportunities come up and I want to be a part of them. Like, yeah, I major like a FOMO girl, but, like, I'm also like, want to be there to support or to help or to voice my opinion or to use my voice. So it's crazy because when we were having that talk, and it's funny because I feel like I've always been this way my whole life. I want, like, my life one way, but I also want it the other way. Like. And I. I do feel you can have both, but it's. It's crazy when, you know, I don't know. I. I don't know.
Brie Bella
No, I get that. I feel like a lot of people actually in entertainment are that way.
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
They crave both lifestyles. They enjoy, like, the fun, like, parts of the parties and not even the parties, but the events and, like, you know, just the entertainment part of it. But then it's nice to, like, jump back in your hole and feel, like, away from everything.
Nikki Bella
Well, and I think you're. You and I are so lucky because, you know, they always say you ought to do what, like, sets your soul on fire. And like, you and I, like, mainly our work does that.
Brie Bella
Yeah. And what I will say, what sometimes we don't realize is being online and having access to world news actually lays an even thicker level of burden on your shoulders.
Nikki Bella
So maybe for you, disconnect from the world again. Do it.
Brie Bella
You felt so light.
Nikki Bella
I did feel, but I will say.
Brie Bella
It might not be the travel, going to the events, having to come back and like, the different things.
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
It's also this other layer that we all don't realize. I mean, realistically, we shouldn't. I. I don't need to know. Everything happening in the world does not mean I'm an insensitive person. It does not mean I don't care. No, I care.
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
But also, like, I know that what I can do is better for my community if I concentrate on my community, because it's where I live, it's where my kids are raised. Like, I want to put more of my effort and my energy here than trying to, like, figure out how can I help, like, you know, on the other side of the world. And so I think sometimes if we disconnect from the world news and everything that's out of our hands and we kind of just concentrate on what's just in our community and Then what's in just your life? It actually might. You might feel better.
Nikki Bella
No, I agree. I. I've always believed in focusing on your own bubble. Like, I think that's so important because you can't take you. You can't take care of everyone else, and stress will just get you at the end. And, like, I. That part I fully agree with.
Brie Bella
I mean, I'll say this. I'm not on Twitter. You run a Twitter account. I'm not on it. I can't even tell you what's on there. I mean, I even forget what Twitter's called now. X. X. And I just think of Brian. Like, I'll tell Brian, because Brian's never on his phone. I mean, sometimes I'm like, brian, like, I'm trying to get a hold of you, you know, like. And he just. There's so much he just doesn't know that's going on. And there's something very freeing about that.
Nikki Bella
Oh, I agree.
Brie Bella
And I'll tell him certain things. And he's like, bri, who cares? Why does that matter?
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
And I'm like, you're right. It actually. It doesn't. Like, why. Why did I let it matter? And. And I do. I think of the. Some of the things that might keep me up at night. Keep you up at night. They're so out of our hands.
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
That it's like. But those are the parts that might feel really heavy. We don't even realize.
Nikki Bella
Right. Well, and, you know, maybe people don't realize that so much as they're trying to create balance in their life, that their mental health could be a big blockage of that.
Brie Bella
Yeah.
Nikki Bella
That makes things feel heavy. When maybe you're like, maybe I do have space. I'm just not allowing things to come in because I just have more of the mental blockage.
Brie Bella
I mean, 100.
Nikki Bella
You know, I feel like a lot.
Brie Bella
Of that goes on now.
Nikki Bella
Totally.
Brie Bella
And I feel, you know, it's weird because I don't want to say people never had all of this going on back in the day, because I feel like they did in their own ways. It was just really navigating. But what I feel is different is it feels at times we're doing it more alone because everyone kind of stood, like, stayed with their tribe.
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
But now everyone's tribes are kind of broken up and all over the place. It's hard.
Nikki Bella
Totally. And I think for me, you know, it's. I'm in a place where I take care of my own tribe. I don't have support I actually have to pay, you know, in other ways. And so for me, there's a lot that has to be paid and taken care of. And it's all on me. All on me. And if I fall, there's no one to catch me. And so I think that's where it's hard for any one man or woman. If you're in that place, like, single parent feels like, or you're the one that's like, has to, you know, pay for it all. It's like, how can you say no to things? How do you. It's like, even when, you know, I'll be told, like, well, open up space, like, do this or that. But I'm like, but how? Like, how, how can I say no to things? But it's true, because then maybe I do, and then things come in that are even bigger. But that's scary.
Brie Bella
But maybe you don't need your space to be open. Maybe it's, like, perfectly fit the way.
Nikki Bella
It'S supposed to be, which is true. I mean, I, I, I will say, and I mean this totally, like, I love life right now. I love life. Or there are definitely hard times and there are things that can get to me and keep me for sure. But overall, like, I love life so much. I love my home. Mateo is just the greatest thing that's ever happened to me. And I just love everything with him, with our whole country life, with work, like, all of it. Like, I feel so blessed and grateful. Like, obviously, you know, personally, like, there's certain hardships and those at times keep me up at night or bring anger into my life or different things like that. But other than that, like, I just, I love where I'm at. I, like, just am so happy and I, I have in just so much gratitude for so many things.
Brie Bella
Yeah. And I think sometimes, you know, we constantly feel like we have to search for something, but maybe it's kind of nice when you get to the point you don't have to search anymore.
Nikki Bella
No, totally. I think what it is, is there's so many things I love to do. I wish there's just more time to do it.
Brie Bella
Yeah. You know, that's the fomo.
Nikki Bella
That's. Honestly, I get such fomo. But why does fomo, like, have to take me all the way across the country and then back to another city and on the other side of the country and here, there. That's the thing is, if I could just snap my fingers and be there, that would be amazing. But, but, yeah, it's, it's such A great place to be in. And. But then I. I look and I. I guess that's maybe the dream and what's to come and what's starting to manifest is when I watch that series and I'm like, why don't I have time to do that? Like, think of how much I've been talking to you about Bri. Can you help me with my garden? And can you help me with this or that? And it's, like, never time to, like, get pots and, like, fill them with flowers, you know? And I want to learn how to be a really good barbecuer for, like, the summertime, but I want to barbecue on my barbecue.
Brie Bella
If that's something you really want to do, then you have to say no to other things.
Nikki Bella
Well, that's the thing. So, like, I'm watching that show and I'm like, I love that. But then am I loving that for, like, retirement life? Like, that's what I'm craving to get to, maybe. Fortunately, in this world, you still got to work hard to get things. And, you know, this girl, I like nice things. Not. You know what I mean?
Brie Bella
Yeah, I like.
Nikki Bella
You know. Yeah, I want to go have a caviar night. Pop a bottle of Dom. I want to do that. Pack your bags, ladies.

Brie Bella
Every restyle, every home. And also, you do have time. Like, it doesn't take long to plant flowers, so go out there and do it. I just need to start right when we're done recording. I'm actually going to be planting a lot of flowers if you want to come out there with me. And I'm planting tomatoes and peppers. So wait, did you go get the.
Nikki Bella
Tomatoes and peppers in Calistoga?
Brie Bella
No.
Nikki Bella
Okay.
Brie Bella
Somewhere else.
Nikki Bella
Oh, you did? I. So I literally was going to have someone plant for me, and then I said, no, can you just help me clean my beds? My sister. I'm gonna have. Make her help me plant.
Brie Bella
I'm gonna make her plant.
Nikki Bella
No.
Brie Bella
That's what you wanted to say.
Nikki Bella
I was.
Brie Bella
I'm gonna make her plan.
Nikki Bella
No, help me. I want to do it. I want to have my own hands plant the roots, but I want to go to that place in Calistoga that everyone's talking about the best.
Brie Bella
The farmer's market.
Nikki Bella
Yeah, but supposedly there's that farmer there who has, like, the best tomatoes and.
Brie Bella
All that, has a lot of good plants.
Nikki Bella
I want that, because that is one thing. I. I will say that when my garden flourishes and it is like tomatoes and Cucumbers. And what else do I usually have in it? I already have my lemons, I think. Did you do bell peppers last year? Yes, bell peppers. And I feel like there's one more thing I'm missing. I don't know, but I always would make that salad, and it was just so fresh and good and. And I just loved the feeling of, like, picking from there and so greater filling. No, greater.
Brie Bella
Stephen telling Brian. I'm like, brian, our butter lettuce came in so beautifully.
Nikki Bella
See, and I like butter lettuce, so I want to plant butter lettuce.
Brie Bella
You need to go look at mine right now. You'll be jealous.
Nikki Bella
I love. Okay, I do. And then I want you to help me also. I want to plant herbs and stuff. Like, different things that I would grab and cook with or. Honestly, I want to be a badass barbecuer. See, I eat meats. I know you don't really, but, like, I. There's nothing better than getting a flank skirt steak in the summertime, putting a little bit on the grill and then putting some sea salt and just, like, eating it fresh off the grill. I love the taste of that.
Brie Bella
You just gotta do it.
Nikki Bella
I know.
Brie Bella
And you just have to understand, like, it's not going to be perfect the first couple times.
Nikki Bella
Right?
Brie Bella
I mean, so many gardeners, even myself, will tell you, like, there's things you'll plant and might end up awful, or you have different insects come and kill it. Or I see a squirrel go and pick.
Nikki Bella
Like, see, that's the thing. Squirrel who just sits there and he stares at me through the window, waiting.
Brie Bella
You gotta get these covers.
Nikki Bella
Okay.
Brie Bella
A lot of my strawberries are starting to come in, and I was like, oh, I gotta cover these before the squirrels try. Think it's like, oh, you know what?
Nikki Bella
I spent a lot of money on strawberries, so maybe I plant strawberries, too. It'd be good. I think of all the stuff that I actually go buy produce. Like, I mean, I wish I could have an avocado tree because I spend so much money on avocado as well. But at least, like, cucumber, strawberries and butter lettuce. Butter lettuce is expensive. I feel like I spent a lot of money on organic butter lettuce.
Brie Bella
Yeah, you can take some of mine.
Nikki Bella
Yeah, well, I have some fresh. I just bought a big thing of it at Whole Foods. Butter lettuce with that primal avocado oil dressing. The best is the best. I literally just. Yeah. Oh, carrots. I want carrots. That's what it is. Carrots.
Brie Bella
Our carrots. It was interesting. I mean, we still ate them, but they all came out smaller than usual.
Nikki Bella
But it tastes good.
Brie Bella
Yeah, but they were tiny.
Nikki Bella
Yeah, well, that's. Well, not like I tied them up anyways.
Brie Bella
I mean, they weren't bad.
Nikki Bella
We just have amazing carrots.
Brie Bella
Takes time.
Nikki Bella
At the Californian, I was like, where do we just have really good.
Brie Bella
Roasted them so good.
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
But, you know, it all takes time. You gotta.
Nikki Bella
That's. So. That's what brought up, like, the whole balance thing for me, because there's some things that I really want to do, and I'm like, I just don't have time to do. Do it, like. And then I hate being like, oh, I'll just, you know, pay someone to do that. And I'm like, I don't want. I want the experience of it. I. I like the experience of it totally. And. And I want more flowers. And, like. Yes. Or Sunday, I think Tao and I went to buy flowers for the house, and I just. I love when I have all my fresh flowers everywhere. But I realized I want more outside, and I. I want, you know, to do, like, just. There's just different things that I want to do. I am excited because I am getting my gym next week, my indoor gym. Okay. So that will be done. And that'll be, I think, a good. A good little thing to have for myself.
Brie Bella
Well, I think you'll. You're going to figure it all out.
Nikki Bella
Yes. Well, you too.
Brie Bella
Yeah. I feel like I have a lot figured out.
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
But, yes, you're right.
Nikki Bella
Right.
Brie Bella
So. But, I mean, you. You're gonna be a barbecuer.
Nikki Bella
I am going to be a barbecue.
Brie Bella
You're gonna.
Nikki Bella
Can't wait to share recipes with you all. Yeah, I'm basic.
Brie Bella
No, I mean, I'm the same.
Nikki Bella
I like just basic. Especially if you appreciate meat. I like the taste of meat.
Brie Bella
I think we need to go get those gardening skills.
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
Put them to the test. You can go help me plant. I do have a lot of stuff to plant.
Nikki Bella
I'm sorry, girl. You're on your own. I just feel like it's different when I do it for myself.
Brie Bella
That's actually rude. You want me to come do it for you?
Nikki Bella
I just want you to help me.
Brie Bella
But you don't want to.
Nikki Bella
I want you to help build me a monarch garden because I want butterflies to have a place.
Brie Bella
But why don't you get some practice right now in my backyard?
Nikki Bella
I don't know. I'd rather go do something else for.
Brie Bella
Myself, and that's what I'm wondering. Oh my gosh. She's crazy. That's why I'm wondering if my back's hurting because I was lifting the bags of soil.
Nikki Bella
Yeah. This is what I've realized after dancing the night away at Old Red in Vegas. We are at the age where we have to stretch, dance, stretch to garden. Just. We need a stretch. Stretch has to become like meditation, like morning coffee. I. And I suck at it. And I'm like, I need to like be better at stretching because now things are just getting too tight. It's not like how it used to be. And I'm like, I don't want to be like just the people that have the hardest time getting out of bed when they're like super old. I'm like, no, thanks.
Brie Bella
Yeah.
Nikki Bella
I just again, need to fit it in. Need a. I feel like I. I'm such a. Someone who writes things out. So maybe I just need to write out like everything with the coffee in there and the meditation and the stretching just didn't. Isn't that what. That thing went viral like at 4am? At 4, 10am like they'd show even like the 10 minutes or something.
Brie Bella
I don't know. I don't. I stopped looking at all that. It was too overwhelming for my brain.
Nikki Bella
Yeah.
Brie Bella
Too many tips and too many hacks.
Nikki Bella
There's.
Brie Bella
And I'm like, I can't.
Nikki Bella
Arisa one I heard. But I have heard this before. So here's a little thing for everyone. To not refrigerate garlic or ginger. That always stays out of the fridge.
Brie Bella
I do. I keep that out.
Nikki Bella
Yeah. I would sometimes throw it in your cloves of garlic. Yeah. But even when you chop it up. And to not buy chopped up garlic at the stores that are refrigerated. Do not do that. But I guess they release toxins in your refrigerator as well as when you cut up onion. Do not put the cut up onion in the refrigerator because that when it gets cold, releases toxins in your refrigerator.
Brie Bella
Oh my gosh.
Nikki Bella
But those were like the three things. Things. But I do before I saw it from this natural path. I did hear about that with ginger and garlic.
Brie Bella
I know. But like, I have to do more research on all that.
Nikki Bella
Yeah. But it kind of makes sense because I feel like that's.
Brie Bella
I don't even know how that 1000.
Nikki Bella
Because that was like remedies people have been using for like hundreds of years before refrigerators. So to me that kind of makes sense with ginger and garlic.
Brie Bella
Okay.
Nikki Bella
Because back in the day they didn't refrigerate that. Like, think pre refrigerator days. And wasn't that, like a main thing always used for, like, immune systems and sickness and all that? I mean, yeah, but so think about it. I started to think of it that way and I go, okay, well, they didn't have refrigerators then and they were, like, curing people. So maybe.
Brie Bella
I don't know.
Nikki Bella
I don't know.
Brie Bella
All I know is I will have to do research on it. When? I don't know when. But to really see.
Nikki Bella
I mean, this person was legit.
Brie Bella
Don't. Don't even tell me they were legit.
Nikki Bella
I. There's this other account and I, like, saved it because they had some badass recipes. And then I'm like, maybe this is what gets so overwhelming. There's just a way to informate too much information.
Brie Bella
Yes.
Nikki Bella
There. And you feel like you need to do it all. Like, that's why you feel the way you save me. What else can make me better? What can make me healthy? Like girls? I know.
Brie Bella
I think what you need is to be off all that for a week.
Nikki Bella
Yeah, well, I did take a few days off, which is good.
Brie Bella
Yeah.
Nikki Bella
But I think I need to do more. I do too, because it's like, I want to do it all. Like, oh, I want to do your personality roses for my garden. And I'm like, how am I not doing rose facials for my garden?
Brie Bella
Oh, my gosh.
Nikki Bella
Like, right there. It could, like, no, I don't know, be the fountain of youth.
Brie Bella
No, all of it, pretty much. Just don't stress yourself out and just.
Nikki Bella
Go on another power walk.
Brie Bella
Yeah, but I do think, like, you lay off all that and you'll feel your brain will maybe calm down. There's too much ideas up in that head. Too much, too much going on.
Nikki Bella
All right, Brie, well, let's leave everyone out with going out and creating your own balance.
Brie Bella
Yeah.
Nikki Bella
