Bri
Happy Wednesday, everyone. And this is our big game episode. Nikki. We've been doing a lot of celebrating.
Guest
That's right. Fly, Eagles, fly. What a Super Bowl Sunday. Iconic.
Bri
Iconic, yes.
Guest
Nothing like spanking the chief's ass.
Bri
You know it, girlfriend. All right, well, Nikki and I thought it'd be really fun, this episode, to kind of have it, you know, like a football game. We're going to have our first quarter. We're going to have our second quarter. We're going to have halftime. We won't be singing, unfortunately, even though I should have come up with a number. But we're gonna have third and fourth quarter, so you're gonna want to listen to the whole episode. It's gonna be a lot of fun. We're breaking down the game, and we're gonna tell you how we put together our party, how much fun we had and all the partying we did. Because we won.
Guest
That's right. We won.
Bri
All right, Nikki. So I feel like first things first. First quarter is all about the pre planning, all the things that we did for our big super bowl party. And I will tell you all, you know, you never know if your team's gonna make it. So obviously, we had a couple weeks of planning, because after the NFC championship and we knew the Eagles were going to Super Bowl, Nikki and I were actually going to have a Super bowl party at my house. But then my cousin was like, who lives two hours away. She was like, I think if we get all the family, my house is Centrally located, which is important when family's flying in. So number one, our guest list went from maybe, I don't know, 10 of us to all of a sudden how many?
Guest
I think, like 25.
Bri
25. There's 25 of us.
Guest
Yeah. So.
Bri
To 25. So, Nikki, we got to go through our pre plan, our whole party planning.
Guest
Yeah. Well, I think what's always fun is what I love about our family is we always bring the taco cart. It's like tradition for us. Always family reunions. We just love it. So of course, we had to get a taco cart with carne asada, chicken quesadillas, True Mexican rice, which is always my favorite.
Bri
Well, and I will say this about a taco cart. The cleanup is easy, Right. You don't have to. Not a lot of concentration. So then you're just, like, concentrating on apps and everyone. Like, people never get disappointed with a taco.
Guest
No, ever.
Bri
And it's feeling. It's nice, it's easy to eat. I don't know.
Guest
I absolutely, for me, sporty vibes to it. I like when the food matches what we're there to watch. So whether it's taco cart, hot dogs, hamburgers, we nailed it with the chips and dips. I haven't had ruffled chips and homemade onion dip and I don't know how long. Well, I guess over at Thomas Keller's, I mean, his French onion dip homemade dip with caviar is ridiculous. But I have to say.
Bri
And Sally's was better.
Guest
And Sally's was better. It was amazing. And just every. I mean, we. It was just incredible.
Bri
Well, let's break down our pre party planning.
Guest
Okay, let's break it down because this.
Bri
Is the thing is we, Nikki and I like to work backwards. So taco truck taken care of. And honestly, for any of you who are planning parties, I know, you know, here comes spring graduation, then summer. I'm not kidding. They're affordable. And I mean, we fed 25 people, and the price was just incredible. So concentrating on the appetizers, I feel like chips and dip is always the big win. So aunt Sally's homemade French onion dip. We had Randy, you know, she's our cousin's wife.
Guest
Her bean dip, Kristen's nacho cheese dip.
Bri
I mean, then amazing.
Guest
I mean, there's nothing. This is what I like when you do watch at home. Nacho cheese dip in the crock pot, plugged in, stays warm, yummy, yum, yum. You pour it all over the chips. Not cold, not fake cheese. If you're in, you know, at the game.
Bri
And let's be honest, like, everyone loved the air fryer for a bit, but the crock pot always wins.
Guest
Crock pot's way better.
Bri
Way better. I actually, yesterday, I was thinking to myself, like, I gotta get my crock pot out again, because food tastes always so much better out of there. And just how you can set it out the whole time, keep going and grabbing, and it's nice and hot. Unreal. And then, obviously, you got to have your veggies. We did hummus. We did all our raw veggies. You saw it in. You know, Nikki and I, we posted on our social media is our spread, and we're really big into decorating with our food. Like, we needed. We did our Eagle cookies. Like, we did, like, football cookies. We. I don't know, you and I are really good at that.
Guest
Yeah.
Bri
Making, like, the food look cute on our table that was set out, like, you would look like a football field. And then all our little appetizers, I mean, it was like, that was, to me, like, the biggest decoration of the party.
Guest
Totally.
Bri
And the one that really hit. So that's kind of like, obviously, I feel like food always starts any type of party. And it was funny to see some of the commercials where they're like, football is all about food, but it kind of is, Right?
Guest
Yeah. Well, it's a good pairing. A very good football pairs well with food.
Bri
I know. I did.
Guest
Because it's about gathering.
Bri
Right. So. And, you know, before we go into the Eagles crushing the Chiefs, we want to just kind of just first go into Nikki and I and how important this party was to us. And, you know, of course, I think, like, anyone, you always think about going to the Super Bowl. But for us, you know, when you get to watch it with your family, and we were all. All of us cousins last night. We were all sitting around the fire pit. We were like, imagine if Pop up was here to watch that game. I know, like, how much you would have loved it. And we were saying, it's crazy, because when we all go back to thinking about when we first became Eagle fans, like, you know how Pop up was. And we're like, pop up too. Like, when you get really nervous, do you remember how, like, he'd be positive, like, it's okay, but they're gonna come back right here. He wouldn't, like, be like, Tyler, like, brought up, like, our one cousin. He can get real mad.
Guest
Yeah.
Bri
You know, and he goes. And I get a little negative, but they're like, pop up Always keep it positive. Like. But we were all saying, like, how he made us so passionate about the Eagles, but how we have all, like, brought it on. And we were saying how every time they win, we always are like, you're happy. We know you're happy.
Guest
And we're just saying Evan was having a big party last night.
Bri
Yeah. And I think it's honestly true. Like, I was thinking, like, if I was at the super bowl, how would I feel watching the Eagles when compared to all of our family members after we won? Us parading around the gated, like their community and just chanting, E, A, G L E S Eagles. I was just like, you know, really, when you have a party at home, it's crazy how special you can make it. Like, from everyone, you know, making homemade appetizers to just all, like, the little, like you said. And I didn't even think of it until you said it, but the taco truck, our family does it every party, but all, like, the special little things. And I don't know, you're just like. It felt like a family reunion. Like, more than just like a big.
Guest
Party was a family reunion.
Bri
But so, you know, we're going to go into the Eagles, but that's just kind of our first quarter thing. Nikki and I are always great at, like, decorating. I feel like we're good at party planning. I honestly think we weren't wrestlers. We probably would have been great party planners and just, you know, the foods. I will say this, the one nice thing about sports games, food is easy. You don't have to get complicated, like, appetizers to the meal and to the drinks. You know, beer, wine, everyone's happy, sodas, whatever it may be. But that's always, like, for me, like, first quarter, boom, there you go. Everyone's happy. But, you know, not much has to go into a big game day party.
Guest
No.
Bri
And we always bring the fun.
Guest
Always.
Bri
Okay, so we gotta get into it.
Guest
Get into the game.
Bri
The game.
Guest
To New Orleans there. I feel like there's a lot.
Bri
Well, where do you want to start?
Guest
Well, I mean, you and I, we actually got to start in New Orleans, which was a lot of fun. We got to be there.
Bri
Well, everyone saw we're at Radio Row.
Guest
Yeah.
Bri
We interviewed.
Guest
And so to be in that energy and to like, feel it, like pre Super Bowl, I thought was, like, really cool. I mean, we always say how, you know, New Orleans has just a special kind of energy, but it was just like, really fun being there for, like a few days and then coming home and being with the family for Super Bowl. Yeah.
Bri
Well, you know, it's funny because when Nikki and I were there and we talked about this, you know, a little bit on radio row, but we were blown away by all the Eagle jerseys. But I thought, okay, like, we're leaving Saturday. A lot of fans come in Saturday and I've seen before Chiefs fans, they fly out, like to see their team. So I was like, I'll be interested to see, like, are we just seeing Eagle fans or all the chief fans coming in Saturday?
Guest
But when you and I were leaving Saturday morning, I couldn't.
Bri
All the Eagle fans at the airport.
Guest
I didn't see any.
Bri
Any.
Guest
It was all equals flying in land.
Bri
I do agree with that. But the minute we turned on the TV and all sudden they're showing the stadium and like starting to do just all the pre game show stuff, I go, oh, my gosh, that's a lot of green out there.
Guest
Yeah, well, it was funny because when we were at the party the night before Friday night, I remember it was, by the way, the Madam bowl was just, I think, the best super bowl party I've been to in years.
Bri
It was amazing.
Guest
So fun to see Shaboozi live finally.
Bri
He's incredible.
Guest
He's incredible. And you know what I appreciate about Shabzi? He knows that everyone loves the tipsy song. And so when we all were going crazy was, you know what? For all of you, I'm going to sing it one more time. I thought that was so cool because it is about all that, right? Like songs that amp you up. So that is the first time I've ever seen an artist do that. And I go, that is the cool, coolest thing ever. That's when you know you really care about your fans and people enjoying the moment. So I just, I want to see Shaboozi again live. Like, he is so great.
Bri
I do too, actually.
Guest
When Jon Hamm walked in and remember he was with like Peyton and all those people. But I remember thinking to myself, like, why is John Ham. Like, it was just random to see Jon Hamm until Super bowl started. I didn't realize he was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Bri
Yeah.
Guest
So I didn't know that was a thing. And so I, you know, I say actors just don't amp a crowd up live like wrestlers do.
Bri
But Coop, Bradley Cooper did well.
Guest
Bradley, actually. I mean, if we're going to compare.
Bri
No, he smashed John way better than John way better. Just like the Eagles did way better than Chiefs.
Guest
Bradley Cooper did way better than John Bradley did awesome.
Bri
Do you think the Rock was offended.
Guest
That you didn't know Rock did in L. A, but rock, like when you see, like a restaurant, when the Rock. Yeah. No one can touch the Rock and amping it up.
Bri
I know. I actually thought maybe the Rock was going to come out.
Guest
Well, I don't think he has really a connection. Right.
Bri
I know, but he just did it for a couple of years.
Guest
Yeah.
Bri
You know, he did that amp up. But it was funny because there was rumors on Radio Row that we were going to see Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. And I was like, oh, maybe Tom Cruise is going to come in. Who knows, right? But their videos were. I thought it done good, like, really well. Yeah, like, they were. It was neat and I loved.
Guest
There was a lot of great moments opening up super bowl from. What do you call it? The tributes.
Bri
Oh, to the terrorist attack. Yeah, that was.
Guest
I thought that was incredible. Holding the pictures up and just. There was a lot of great moments and I. I really liked that.
Bri
I did, too. So I read this story. One of the victims who was in the terrorist attack, he and his friend both got ran over, right? And one friend died and the other one didn't. But he was in the hospital for a while and came out. They were die hard Eagle fans. And they both said, if the Eagles go to super bowl, we're going.
Guest
Oh, my gosh, that's so sad.
Bri
So obviously, you know, when the Eagles made it, he said, I thought to myself, like, we should be going together. But like, you know, and someone asked him, like, would you go? And he goes, I will never go back to New Orleans. Like, he's just like, it's that, you know, of course. Right. You understand. But, you know, the Eagles reached out to him and they did a big thing and gave him super bowl tickets. And we're just like, you're not going alone, like you're with us type of thing. And he went. And like one, you know, had his name and like, they like as. And he goes, I know he's here with me watching. Like, I literally was like on Instagram reading this whole thing and I was like crying. I'm like, oh, my gosh. But that's what they do. And I. And I love that. And I think football, especially more than anyone as a late, has really brought to me a lot of those moments. And not saying that, you know, award shows don't do that, but I feel it more. Football, I don't know what it does.
Guest
Award shows that are like, like just. It's quick and then they're on to the next. You really feel like they. They soak it in. You feel the moment, you get teary eye.
Bri
You get the goosebumps.
Guest
You feel the love and care for it. And, like, that's what I love. And John Batiste, his performance was so amazing, and I loved his piano. Like, how it was decked out.
Bri
Yeah. But really good.
Guest
He's just so incredible live.
Bri
Yeah. But. Okay, so I'm going to tell you something, 25 of us family members, the game's about to start. And like, all of you, that first call.
Guest
Oh, I.J.
Bri
Brown and I literally. So we're just gonna start. We're starting up this game, you guys, because we got. Wow. I actually am surprised. My voice came back because I could not speak last night. My voice was shot. But I literally. We all looked at each other and we were like, no. Like, this is. I literally go to Nicole and I go. Go on Twitter. They're dissing the refs, right? Like, they're being exposed, right? Because I don't have the Twitter app. So I'm like, you know, like, this can't. It can't just call the X. Oh, by the X. I was like, there's no way that it's just us sitting.
Guest
Here thinking, no, the world we all knew. We all knew. I. And that worried me in that moment because it was just so. Like, shouldn't have been a call and not in Super Bowl. And so I was like, great, it's already going to begin already. This is nuts.
Bri
And it was funny because my cousin, like, got really mad, and it was funny, like, how she was. And I could see my uncle, like, looking at her, like, you know, like, it was so. And I'm like, but that's what they do. They fire you up. But then I'll say this. Shortly after the refs came back, it's almost like someone told him, hey, you're trending on X. That, like, even barstool, what they put out, they're like, here we go. It's like the refs cheating for the Chiefs. You know what I mean? And I was like, well, because people.
Guest
Truly love the sport of football and they don't care about whatever someone else brings in. They just. They want a good fair game. And so, yeah, but we got it right back.
Bri
And I will say, when the ref then gave us a call, and I will say it was like, it could. You know, like, if they didn't, I maybe wouldn't have been sad. But the fact that they did that, I felt like they Wanted a show. We're not taking anyone's side today. Well, we're gonna let them play well.
Guest
When we're in New Orleans. What I loved about when we ran into some. Some of, you know, the other pro football players, they all were just like, you have to spank the Chiefs so you don't let the refs win the game for them. And I felt like that truly was the mindset of the Eagles. I mean, the Eagles went in like bodies were flying. I mean, that defense was like, the defense. Well, it was even amazing to watch, but I felt like they had that energy of like, we are not going to let the refs dictate this game. We're just going to own it, and we're not even going to let him have a chance.
Bri
No defense. Like, literally. I was like, whoa. Because also, there was rumors going around people had the flu. Like, Eagles were going down the first half.
Guest
They couldn't even make it, like, halfway down the field. The Chiefs, it was amazing.
Bri
But it was also the Eagles hits. And let's talk about Cooper DeShawn. I mean, his pick six, that was okay.
Guest
So for me, for me, that. I felt like that was the moment that just made it like, look, I.
Bri
Got goosebumps thinking about it.
Guest
I felt like that was this shift where it was, like, just world domination. It was that moment where everyone goes, yeah, that's it. We are just gonna blow them out of the water, the Chiefs. And I don't know, I felt like that was the super bowl moment that changed everything.
Bri
Like, do you know in life when you get so excited, you're like, I can actually physically do a backflip right now, and I'm going to land on my feet. I literally got that feeling where I just wanted to, like, flip or do something.
Guest
Can you imagine it being your birthday? Turning 22 years old and having such an iconic moment in super bowl and winning the Super Bowl. I mean, you imagine that he gave.
Bri
Himself a Super Bowl.
Guest
Talk about rookie of the year, big time.
Bri
I mean, it was.
Guest
To me, that was, like, just incredible. And I couldn't I think of. And that we started wrestling at 22, 23. So I couldn't imagine that moment at that age on my birthday. And real quick, why we're talking about birthdays. It was also Barkley's birthday and the fact that both their numbers. So Desean and Barkley equal 59. It was Super Bowl 59. And their birthdays, they call that the.
Bri
Stars aligned for the Eagle.
Guest
Honestly, when they say destiny, because that's what everyone's writing. I'm like, that is a trip, right?
Bri
A big trip. But also people, you know, I feel like countless times, and I know, like, we're Eagle fans and people are like, whatever, you know, like, only because you guys are biased or something. But I got kind of sick of people also saying, like, you know, Eagles got lucky, or, you know, Hertz isn't as good and hurts, you know, wouldn't be. It's all about Barkley and as if Barkley wins all the games for us. I love that the offense pulled out all these new plays. Even, like, what was so fun as an Eagle fan to sit there. And I think as a football fan, even if you're not even an, you know, an Eagles fan, I think as a football fan, because everyone knows Jalen hurts. Everyone knows what everyone says about him. It was fun to see him throw the ball so much. But then when he would get a lot of pressure on him, then he would start to run. Then when he got pressure on him, then. Then he came out with new plays. Like, you could tell the Eagles worked so hard the last two weeks to come up with all these different plays, knowing, like, okay, the Chiefs are going to be on Berkeley. Like, they are. They think this is a running game.
Guest
Yeah.
Bri
It was so cool to see, like, they put in the work. I mean, and they were like, just like how we have tricks up our sleeve. They had a bunch. And I absolutely loved it.
Guest
Yeah. You know, I just. I mean, we've always loved Hertz, right? And class. He's always been such a class act, super sophisticated, intelligent man. And, you know, I just love, like. Because obviously they have to do so many interviews leading up to, like, Super Bowl. Right. And he's always had an all female team. And I love that there's been so much attention brought to it as of late. But I love his response on one of the red carpets or interviews. And he goes, well, it wasn't about gender. It was about hard work. And I love how he said about women. And he goes, I just have a group of very intelligent, hard working, confident women. And it's just everything he represents. Even when you see his interviews after the game. And I just have to bring it up because, you know, I always say it to Bri when he said, defense wins championships. Because I've been telling Bree this since the soccer days. So when I saw him say that. But also just how he puts everyone over. Yeah, he's. He's just. There's like no cockiness to him. None of that. He's just so. He seems very selfless. Yes.
Bri
But that's what you saw in the field.
Guest
Stand up player on the field.
Bri
You saw the Eagles truly united. And I felt like more than ever, the teamwork, the support.
Guest
Yeah.
Bri
Like, you can tell, like, even I love that Jalen, after, when he said he put, like, he said defense wins championships. He put over defense. And, like, he doesn't have to do that.
Guest
Right.
Bri
I mean, none of them, but even Barkley, like, the way in his interview, like, put over defense, like, they all just really love each other and support each other.
Guest
Yeah. I'm just so happy for them.
Bri
So happy and happy for them. Let's break it down, though, because you guys saw on our social media, I put. I put on some of the videos where you see us, like, our family going crazy. But, you know, of course, I wasn't recording when we first. I don't know what it is.
Guest
When we first what?
Bri
Like, when the first touchdown. Like, when the touchdown. I grabbed my phone in the middle. Yeah, but isn't it so fun when you're with your family and everyone is, like, on the edge of their seats like this? Or like, I mean, a lot of times we're all pacing and standing, but there's no better feeling than when your team scores a touchdown and the explosion of everyone around you. Right. And like, just like the high fivings, the hugs, like, how many times do we all hug and kiss and just like, dancing and getting wild? Like, that's a really nice connection to have with other humans.
Nikki
Today's episode is sponsored by Xfinity. Our family are big football fans, and the one thing that I've always loved about my family is that we've always made it like a family reunion to come together for big games. Our grandfather started the tradition when we were really, really young, and even though he has passed, we have kept the tradition going. It's really incredible, and it's fun.
Bri
It's.
Nikki
It's really neat to have a love and passion with your family on a sports team that we all can root for and really get involved with. And. And let's be honest, my family's competitive, so we need to take our competitiveness somewhere because none of us play on the field anymore or the ring. So sports has been one of those things that brings us together. It's a legacy that's going on to the fourth generation now. Birdie, Buddy, and Mateo get to be a part of it. We all have so much fun just to plan the party and get together. You know, sometimes it can end in sadness. Or sometimes, you know, we're celebrating and dancing. Oh, my goodness. Don't get my family started. But the one thing that I absolutely love about Xfinity is that their Internet powers your connected life. With fast, reliable Internet, so you can stay connected to everything you love. Like your favorite team playing on game day with your family by your side. And also with the growth of streaming live sports, a strong Internet connection is critical so you don't have to miss a moment of the big game. Like, you know, when your team scores a touchdown, gets an interception. When you stream with Xfinity Internet, you get super fast speeds and low lag, so you can catch all the nonstop action and worry less about freezing and buffering. Instead of all the spoilers, stream live sports from the best seat in your house with Xfinity because it's only live once. Learn more@xfinity.com Totally.
Bri
That you just don't get all the time.
Guest
Well, I just love, because it was like the first year I actually got to enjoy with Mateo, and now I see, like, my years to come. Like, he's gonna always be into football. He's gonna love these moments. Like, even when I landed from New Orleans and I went straight into mom mode and Mateo, because I showed up in my jersey, he goes, I want to wear my jersey. And then he and I just went downtown Napa and like, ran around, played, ate biscuits. Like, we just had a really good time. And as you saw on her, like, kept talking about the Eagles singing their songs. I sent you some songs that I didn't go on repeat, that I was.
Bri
Like, oh, my goodness.
Guest
But I think for me, that's what made this, like, more special than anything, was having those moments been him being excited too and him singing the fight song. And it's like, I'm like, see, this is what sports does. So, like, when you say you're on the edge of the seat with your family, but then, like, for me, it was a first time thing for me, like, I know Birdie's seven half, so you've had those moments. But being that first time of having it with the child, like, for sure.
Bri
I mean, I'm living the best. I'm living it, you know, with Buddy now. And Buddy and Birdie are so different. Buddy loves sitting and watching. And, you know, Birdie can care less about football. I mean, she like, literally say, is Taylor Swift singing? Because that's what I want.
Guest
And which we got to get to the halftime show.
Bri
Yeah, well, I will say too, like, it's different. With both of them, I get to enjoy different things. And with Buddy, it's fun because he asked me questions, and, like, he gets really into it. But Birdie, I have to tell you guys a big confession. So when we were leaving New Orleans and we were in the airport, we went into one of, like, you know, they'll. At super bowl, they'll have the fun little stands inside the. Yeah. Airport of, like, super bowl, like, merch. And there was this shirt that said.
Guest
Go, Taylor Swift's boyfriend.
Bri
Yeah, go, Taylor's boyfriend. I had to get it for Birdie, and, like, she loved it, but I don't know why.
Guest
Okay. But I made Brie because Bri at first wasn't going to.
Bri
Well, because it was chief's colors. And I'm like, I don't know.
Guest
I was like, I have to do this, though, for Birdie, because she'll love it.
Bri
And as a woman, I know men, you're going to roll your eyes. But as a woman, I find it hilarious that people will be like, Taylor Swift's boyfriend. Or, like, even, like, how Birdie will go to me and just be like, oh, Taylor Swift's boyfriend plays football. Because how much, like, okay, I'll admit Travis and Taylor can make me vomit Just because, like, oh, my gosh, let it go. I love it. But, like, when it comes to football, I don't need it in our faces. I will say this, like, Travis Kelce, granted, he's been having a shitty season. He's an amazing football player, right. Who had a big name before Taylor came in the picture. It's just funny. It's, like, funny to me, like, where it's gone.
Guest
I don't think it's fully their fault. No, it's. Well, no NFL is exploiting it. Other. Other people are exploiting, and it's not there.
Bri
I agree.
Guest
She's showing up to support.
Bri
And I like Taylor because I'll say this. When you saw statistics come out of how much Taylor Swift has made the NFL, like, I was like, I like to.
Guest
You know, she's one of the only role models, like, girls have out there. So I like.
Bri
Well, you know, I do. Because Birdie's obsessed with. Yeah. And, you know, Birdie's had hard times at school, and Taylor literally has these books on bullying and, like, great things. That.
Guest
This is my thing. What makes me feel bad is just because she's super famous, she should be able to show up and cheer on her boyfriend. And it's not her fault that everyone exploits that. You know what I Mean, it's not like she's sitting front row with his jersey on, being super obnoxious. She shows up in the suite, and by the way, if she wanted to do that, she should do that. Okay, but if my boyfriend was, like, a badass player, oh, my God, I'd be rocking jersey, and look at what I already do. So imagine if I was dating a player. Like, why would I hold back?
Bri
Okay, so. So then I actually disagree with some of you.
Guest
Really?
Bri
Yes. Because Jalen Hurts, literally got asked a private question about his life.
Guest
I'm not talking about questions, though. I'm talking about Taylor just showing up and being hurt. That's.
Bri
I don't know. I think it's. I. I feel like I'm not talking about. They definitely put it in our faces, and I think it's. I don't think it's on accident.
Guest
I don't think it's her fault.
Bri
Maybe not hers, but maybe his.
Guest
But I don't think it's hers.
Bri
I'll say this. It's fun to one girl.
Guest
You don't need to hate. We won. We proved it already. We proved it.
Bri
I know. And it felt good. And it felt good. Actually, did you see my IG stories? I put up this picture of Taylor doing the loser. I love it because I was like, I.
Guest
She asked me. She texted me late last night because I left the party early because I wanted Mateo to be in bed by bedtime. And Rigo Shy changes my profile pic. And I was like, please do it. And she goes, but I think the Swifties will be mad at me. And I'm like, why? It's Taylor doing the loser sign. I think it's so iconic.
Bri
I think it's iconic.
Guest
But I was like, it's the Bella Twins loser sign. That's why she wanted to do it. And I think it's hilarious. What were people saying when you put in your energy stories?
Bri
Oh, I don't even know.
Guest
It's so good.
Bri
But I'll say, like, the Swifties are ruthless. I'm not about. Even though the Bell army would step up and go after them.
Guest
The Swifties.
Bri
I love it. Yeah. I hope. I don't know. I don't need people to, like, come after me. I've got that kind of time. But so, you know, it's not like.
Guest
You'Re making fun of her.
Bri
I know, but everyone gets dramatic nowadays. Dramatic. Big time.
Guest
Yeah.
Bri
So save the drama for your mama. Not this mama. Your mama.
Guest
Okay.
Bri
Not your mama. Their mama.
Guest
Yeah. It's like, we got the same mama. So.
Bri
Okay, so I have to tell you something funny. So when I'm with my cousins at the NFC championship games, I go, literally, my cousins and I were like, we just want to do the chant in the stadium against the Commanders. We did it about eight times, and I lost my voice. Who would have thought we would have chanted as much as we did last night?
Guest
It was wild.
Bri
I lost my voice, literally. Like, after we won and we're running around, then, you know, we did family dance party, and we were putting on, like, every song we'd look up, like, winning song, winning song. So. So, like, one of them that came up was like, Katy Perry firework. Is that. Yeah, baby, you're fine. And I'm like, trying to say I'm like, like, my voice. I could not sing. Yeah, but dancing. But we played We Are the Champions by Queen.
Guest
Oh, man. I love your guys's parade around the neighborhood.
Bri
I actually woke up.
Guest
Literally, my family is the greatest family ever. They did their own mini parade where they had. Someone was in the front with the Eagles flag, as are marching around the neighborhood doing the fight song. But you know what I'd say is, so the second half, I had to have it on in the car. And I have to say, Tom Brady is amazing at what he does, because obviously, when you have to listen to it, commentators are everything. And the energy in his voice, and when plays would happen, I would keep getting excited. And then, because obviously he's had such an incredible career, how he would bring back the feels. So in this moment, this is probably what they're feeling. And maybe because I had actually listened to the whole second half, I'm like, you know what? He's crushing it. Like, he's actually really good at this because, you know, when you're watching the game, it's different. But I really enjoy Tom Brady's commentary.
Bri
Yeah.
Guest
Yeah. I actually. Amazing.
Bri
Yeah, I actually feel the same. He's really good.
Guest
Like, so good. And I love how he brings in the stories in the fields and. Because him being a quarterback and being in those big moments and losing those big moments, it was just. It's. It was great to hear his perspective mixed in with what the guys were feeling, but then how amped up he gets for moments, you know, all of it. And he explains really well.
Bri
Right. Well. And as athletes, like, let's be honest, like, you're going to have bad games. No one has perfect games. I feel bad that Patrick Macombs had his bad game at Super Bowl. Well, you know, he was that Well.
Guest
I think too, when you're getting rocked that bad and you're not used to getting beat so bad, I think it kind of throws you off. The one thing I will give Patrick and I'm just playing, you know, be looking at it as an athlete, like, he didn't give up.
Bri
No, he didn't.
Guest
So I think that was great. And I don't know what it was, though, but I think because so many people want the Eagles to win, like, even though they were getting their butts kicked, the game was so fun all the way up until the end.
Bri
Well, because they're one of those teams. You want it, you want to. You just want.
Guest
I want to keep scoring. Don't stop. Keep going, but don't get hurt.
Bri
You know, I feel like there's not much more we have to say because obviously, like, the world saw we smoked the Chiefs. We all really wanted that. And I can't believe we're super bowl champs. I will be bragging about this. Tell super bowl again or until. You know. And I do think we wait, Brie, if we.
Guest
If like. And I want. What do you call it, a back to back. Right?
Bri
Yeah.
Guest
Because it's in San Francisco next year.
Bri
So I'll be praying. But I'm already been trying to slowly, you know, look at my list and my phone and my contacts and anyone who's Chiefs fans, you will be getting a text from me.
Guest
Gosh, she's ruthless.
Bri
Oh, I'm going to be so ruthless.
Guest
Is I'm very proud of not only the Eagle players, but the coaching staff. We have an incredible head coach. I'm proud with everyone that's affiliated with the Eagles and I love so much. I really want to say this too. What it was so amazing to see this past week is every athlete, whether it was at the honors, whether it was in their interviews, everyone thank God first. And it was just. This is what makes me love sports and loves. Makes me love this environment so much, is everyone is so grateful for God for where they're at in life, for their talent, for their health. And I just thank him so much too, that we got to go out of this super bowl with everyone being healthy from both teams, but also just for Eagles truly having their moment in such a cool city and also worldwide. Everyone bringing so much love, which I think is so awesome, for sure.
Bri
Now I would have loved to have been on Broad street last night, but I would have been very worried.
Guest
Now she's going back to being ruthless Eagles fan. Let's go, girl.
Bri
Because I probably Would have climbed the pole. Even though I saw some fireworks going off.
Guest
People, no matter what, there's. It's always going to be Bremo.
Bri
Well, and Bremo definitely. Last night, Brian took the kids home and. Yeah. And I have, by the way, the.
Guest
Husband of the year, Brian.
Bri
He loved it. He had so much fun.
Guest
By the way, Brian, too, is so amazing with Teo.
Bri
He's just like. He's the greatest ever. But so he took the kids home. So I crashed at my cousin's house, like on the couch, pull out couch. Literally. I slept actually in this outfit. I haven't changed, not even my underwear. And I literally. I haven't. I know. Got an uber. 2 hour drive back to my house. So I was in an Uber for two hours. Then the brakes of the Uber, I was like, man, you have to save off the brakes.
Guest
I actually don't expect anything less than that.
Bri
I know. I kind of. I'll be honest.
Guest
Like, I was in the Uber this.
Bri
Morning and I'm like laying back like this and I go, wow. I'm like 41. Taking an Uber back home when I'm.
Guest
Looking at all videos where I know everyone's staying. But then seeing Bree still in the videos with everyone dancing, knowing Brian and her kids are at home sleeping. I'm at home sleeping with Tao, and I go, and then there's my sister, still over two hours down the road.
Bri
Hey, Eagles won Super Bowl. I'm there. I ain't leaving. I'm enjoying every moment.
Guest
Okay, let's wrap this up with giving some awards away. As you all know, we're going to be on a high all week. I mean, this is incredible.
Bri
More than a week.
Guest
I'm here till we get back.
Bri
Till Super Bowl 2026.
Guest
Yeah. Geez. Okay, real quick. Awards. MVP of the party. I'm gonna have to give it to Bri Mode.
Bri
I mean, you're gonna spend $250 to get a ride back home at 6am.
Guest
The next day and not change your chonies.
Bri
Not change your chonies.
Guest
I get the award, she gets MVP party. All right, Bri. Rookie of the year. I mean, I mean, Coop, we can't that. What a moment.
Bri
What a moment.
Guest
What a moment. Pick six.
Bri
That forever. We gotta name. I gotta make a shirt with, like, him doing that.
Guest
And something with, like, birthday boy. I don't know, something.
Bri
Something. Actually, we.
Guest
I feel like. Because supposedly I hear he's a big.
Bri
White wine connoisseur and he has a podcast coming up.
Guest
That's what I'm veins So I think we bring them on the podcast, drink some white wine. Bonita. Bonita. Of course. And talk. Have a birthday super bowl celebration. Okay.
Bri
Snack of the day. Well, I'm gonna tell you because I decided to eat all of it at midnight last night, but the. The chips and French onion dip.
Guest
I'm gonna give it to whoever grilled that spicy sausage. And then on top of it, put a spicy mustard next to it. That was my.
Bri
Kelly.
Guest
Kelly. That was my cousin's husband. That was my snack of the day.
Bri
And, Sally, you did it for me. And I ate all of it. And I feel it in my tummy.
Guest
Most improved partier.
Bri
Well, well.
Guest
Breeze in. An improved one.
Bri
No, not. It's not me. I'm going for cousin Andrew.
Guest
Oh, yeah. Cousin Andrew.
Bri
Cousin Andrew.
Guest
Cousin Andrew.
Bri
And he. He. And he stuck to his tradition last night, which I not going to say on here, which was very.
Guest
Oh, my gosh, and I know it. Okay, biggest party violation. So I'm going to have to give this to my sister. Me sending her husband home with the kids, and she stayed at the party.
Bri
He would. He thanked me, actually. He goes, really? I let him go home early. And I was willing to crash an Uber.
Guest
I'm still giving you a flag.
Bri
No, I'm going to give a flag, actually, on you for leaving early.
Guest
Oh, should we have Teo come sit in the middle of us and talk about that? Maybe I should bring Tae in to talk about that.
Bri
But then maybe we could have put Tayo in one of the rooms, put him to sleep.
Guest
They all were. That's what they all thought. But violation.
Bri
You left super bowl early.
Guest
I left it half time wild. My son had a bedtime.
Bri
But you could have threw everything. I mean, you could. That could have been bad luck.
Guest
Trust me, in a different time, you know, I would escape. Stayed.
Bri
No, I know.
Guest
You know, I would have put a show on for him, and we would have stayed the night. But. Okay, new big game party. What award goes? I. I gotta say. So our cousins, they call their outdoor area, which is so fun, where they have their TVs, the bar of the couches is called the O. Strix. And I'm gonna give the award to those Strix. Those Strix, I think you know, thank you, Xfinity, for making us stay at home, our connection being amazing. And I'm gonna have to give the award to those Strix with Xfinity.
Bri
And you know what they did, which I will tell everyone, like, was the topping on the cake was they had two TVs and then they had the. What's it called?
Guest
Projector.
Bri
The projector. The big screen and the projector. You could, like, eat snacks. Look over here. I could watch Buddy on the trampoline. Look over here. And I'm still watching the game. And, like, then you're. You could sit by the fire. Boom. A game.
Guest
And I'm gonna put Xfinity over here because when you have that many people who kept taking videos and sending during a game and posting to social media, plus having two TVs and a projector all streaming at once under one roof outside. So thank you, Xfinity. You truly are the best at home. Oh, last one.
Bri
I know. New traditions.
Guest
No, no. Award for tradition.
Bri
Yeah. Award for tradition. Well, I mean, the fact that our whole family gets together for the Eagles game is a great tradition. Taco cart. Nailed it. And that's like a tradition. I mean, the best. Is that the fact that our family, cousins, aunts, uncles, second cousins, whatever it may be, we all get to.
Guest
This is what it is. Is that what's amazing? The award's gonna go to the Philadelphia Eagles on tradition. Because, Philly, when you make it to the super bowl, it makes our family have a family reunion. And that is greatest tradition. So please keep on winning. So we could keep on having flame family reunions in February. You never get them in February.
