And I cannot wait. You know, it's crazy because I feel like anytime a birthday comes up, which the older you get, it feels like they come really fast now.

Yeah.

I'm like, how are we already here? It's like, really good.

It's either when you get into your 40s, or it's when you have kids. I feel like kids, kids, kids make it all fast.

[Bri]

Yeah, like my 30s flew by because I had birdie at 33. But what's interesting is when your birthday comes up, you and I, we already love to reflect on many things, but I feel like a Birthday really makes you kind of sit down and reflect your past year. Like, did I hit goals I wanted to hit? Did I even have goals? Should I make goals for the next year? Like, where am I out of my life? Like, there's a lot of reflection. So I want to ask you, like, have you been reflecting the past couple of days, knowing that you're going to be turning 42 in 24 hours? Or is there, like, goals that you set for yourself at 41 you wanted to hit at 42? I don't know. Tell me.

[Nikki]

So I always. Yeah, of course, reflect. I think birthdays are a great time for. I think that birthdays are a better time to reflect and set goals than New Year's resolutions because it's more personal to you and what you've been through. So for me, there's definitely been a lot of reflection. There's definitely, you know, a lot of goal setting. So I would say, like, this past year, one thing that I've just been really proud of from this past year and, you know, would be I'm proud of my growth. I'm proud of, like, I feel like I started this year. Like, obviously it's been a hard year. There's no lie. You know, I don't have to, like, dance around it, but there's been a lot of personal growth for me for learning more of who I am in this era of myself, this decade. I've gained confidence again. I have found out more. You know, I found me again, which was, like, really beautiful. I've learned things about myself when it comes to boundaries or what I want in life, whether that's through, you know, men or career or personal life, like, all the things. Right. All those things of what I want, but I'll settle for. And this past year has been a lot of happiness.

[Bri]

Like, I have really found.

[Nikki]

Yeah, I think everyone's happiness. Yeah, everyone has, right? So it's just been such a great year. I really will look back on 41, and 41 will be a huge mark in my entire life. Huge mark. A bird. An age that I'll never forget. And it's going to be an age I feel like I'll always look back on and go, that was the turning point, girl.

[Bri]

I agree.

[Nikki]

That's why when I've hit. When I hit those new goals in the future, and I don't mean, like, in 42, wherever it might be, right. I will look back at 41 and go, because of that year, it got you here.

[Bri]

I feel great. Well, really quick, before I answer do you kind of feel like you shedded skin in a way? Do you know what I mean?

[Nikki]

I feel like if you treat your birthdays right, you should always kind of have that right. Like a shedding. Like leaving something in the past and then taking something in your right doesn't.

[Bri]

Even have to be as dramatic as, like, coming out of the ashes, but like a shedding. You know what's very interesting?

[Nikki]

I left the bob, and in that year, it's. I know, but I love. I do love that that'll happen later on. Yeah.

[Bri]

One of our. One of our mom friends just got a bob, and it looks amazing. Yeah, Amanda, it's so cute. But what's really interesting, and before I answer that, I just want to Let people know, 2026 is the year of the horse. So we're in the year of the snake. But what's really cool about it is snakes shed. And you think like, a snake turn into a horse would be different, but snakes are kind of more. I think they consider them an introvert. So you're working on inside you shed, and then you go into the horse, which is considered strength and moving fast. So for someone like you, even though you, you know, you take that, they're taking that into your, like, Chinese New Year takes that into 2025, 2026. But I kind of, for you, look at it as 41 to 42, where you're the snake that heals and does everything internal. You shed this birthday, and then you go into that horse, which takes everything that you felt like you said, your growth, where you felt empowered, the things that, you know, blossomed goes into that fierce horse. So that's, like, really cool. And you need to. I was reading all about 2025 and 2026, which is actually for people do start to do the work and really look at it, because it's going to be a very magical. They say 20, and I feel like we'll say things every year, but 2026 should be. Because there was a lot of healing in 2025. I think we've all felt that everywhere. And this shedding should happen New Year's and then going into that with energy. If you believe in all the planets and the, you know, stars and how it's all. I believe I do, too.

But you know what's interesting for me is I feel like my last year, I1 I've dealt with all these different sicknesses, like, different gut issues. Gut has been like my different shits. A lot of different, like, more I've ever thought I'd have to deal with. Okay. But I think taking control of my health.

And not even I will say, like, sometimes how I always used to think of health would be, like, more vain at times, like how I look. But for me, it's like taking control of the inner part of me.

But then also the outer part of me becoming stronger. Like, the other day, I deadlifted it a little over a hundred pounds, which Nicole knows. That's, like, a big deal for me.

[Nikki]

Huge.

[Bri]

I'm like, yeah, Kyle was really happy and. And I was like, right, yeah. And I was like, we can even try to go a little heavier. I feel like I can do it. And he's like, well, let's. We'll do it next week. Yeah, but. So I feel like my inner and outer wellness has finally got on point. And I feel good. I definitely had a goal. I wanted to hit with weight and just like, how I wanted to feel by 42, and I've definitely hit those goals. So I'm really proud of myself because I'll met, like, I had some goals I wanted to hit at 40, and I totally didn't. I was like, well, I'm in Lake Como instead, eating and drinking. But so I'm like, really proud of myself. And also, I have found I've only. I've always known who I am. Like, let's be honest, everyone knew, like, oh, there's the hippie girl, there's like the boho. But I feel like I've dived more into my passions and I. I think that's blossomed me a lot. Like, you know, hey, it's not spring. Flowers aren't the only flowers that bloom. You can bloom in any season and for some reason fall. For me is. I feel like, always my time of really, like, blossoming. And so. And I think it's because of our birthdays. I think for us, it's like, we don't realize it, but subconsciously, like, your birthday will always be a turning point, a goal or something that just marks a big moment in your life that you're like, where am I? Like, who am I? Am I. Am I on the right path? And I very much feel I'm on the right path. And so, yeah, so tomorrow's going to be a good day. I'm going to wake up. And even though none of us love to really age, I'm not going to be bummed about it. I'm going to actually, I'm going to wake up feeling really happy.

I. I agree with you. I'm in such a great place in my life and like, like, health is such a main thing, obviously. Right. Yeah. I'm feeling so strong, and it's also natural. And I'm just feeling very healthy and happy. I just. A great place in motherhood and, you know, just being with Tay, all of it, like, I am so happy. Well, and it's so funny because I feel like also in 42, what I really want, like, 41, I got to a place where I needed to get to, and it was very much myself, like, on my own, like, coming up in this next year, I really. I do need to have a little bit more fun, so. But even being in New York and I've. I've had a few nights, and I choose to Netflix and get room service, and I don't go out. I don't. Not even downstairs to the hotel bar.

Which is also a beautiful thing.

[Nikki]

Well, I mean, honestly, I've been so exhausted. I've been so tired that, like, I'm just, like, it's the last thing I really want to do. And I don't want to drink, so I haven't been having any glasses of wine because I'm just prepping so hard for, you know, in the ring. And it just. The one thing that sucks at this age is what one glass wine will even do to you. So, like, I don't want to tempt myself, but I have realized that I do need to have a little bit more fun, so. Well, maybe I'll get some. Some horses this year.

Well, because you said it's going to be the horse.

Yeah. So maybe I'll get some horses.

I'm already threatening Betty with the naughty and nice list. Are you really? Already started yesterday. He literally. So I said, okay, because, you know, like, I like the kids to understand the concept of money.

When they break stuff or they're not, you know, they mistreat food, use different things, I go, how am I supposed to pay for your college? So I was. I'm filming stuff for my YouTube series, and buddies goes to Claire and goes, she has to do it to pay for college. I was dying. And Claire goes, what? And I go, oh. He hears me say a lot like, yeah, you know, how am I supposed to pay for college? So buddy. Buddy literally thinks I'm filming the YouTube show to get him to college. Oh, my God. And, like, I know every day the kids make me feel like I don't say things properly. Like Birdie today. I just wanted her to appreciate me.

So I fully wrong.

[Bri]

No, but listen, I go, just so you know, Mommy detail cleaned your room. She goes, detail clean? What's that? Well, that's when you do a thorough job of cleaning. Like, I went under the rugs, I all this stuff. And she was like, oh, okay. And I'm like, no, it's not like a straighten up job. It's like detail cleaning. I was in your room for like two hours on my hands and knees scrubbing. You know what I mean?

[Nikki]

Yeah.

[Bri]

She did not care.

[Nikki]

Well, Mateo, because I got stuck in New York. He. When we faced him last night, he opened it with like, mommy, I miss you so much. And it has been hard not to see him these few days. I would have got to. And he goes, I just am so mad at United Airlines for canceling your flight. And you know him, he was major pro. United Airlines.

[Bri]

Oh, no.

[Nikki]

I was like, I know, baby, and I'm so sorry, but you know, mommy will be home, like, right after tv. And, you know, I'm sorry I couldn't be with you these past few days, but it's like, love it. I just love, like, yeah. How they. The things they remember in the conversation. Like, yeah. How we just remembered I was flying United Airlines.

They remember everything. And Buddy constantly reminds me how exhausting parenting is.

[Nikki]

Yeah.

This morning I was getting frustrated at him and he was like, I don't know. He told me off. I can't even remember what he said. But I was like, parenting shouldn't be this tiring, Buddy. It should be easy. And he was like, says who? And I'm like, I'm like, that's already. Your mentality is like, to make my life hard. He just. I think he purposely does it. I think it literally, like, he loves seeing me stressed.

Yeah.

Like, I had him film two episodes where, hi, my name is Bri. I don't know if I'll ever let him film with me again.

Well, that's on.

You start off really cute, and then towards the end, he's over it in some way. I get told off. And then he exits the scene. And then, like, the second episode, I was like, oh, hi, this is Buddy. And he goes, everyone knows. Hi, this is Buddy. I'm five years old. And I'm like, no, no, no, I didn't.

He's on one.

I mean, on one. I was like, literally, like, do not tell me this is what teenage years look like.

But, oh, girl, you'll be in it.

It said there should be a French champagne truck that plays beautiful music as it drives through the neighborhoods. And it, like, talked about the truck. So all of Us can like run to the truck, all of us women and get our nice French or even bonita bonita champagne as we're listening to French music just standing by the truck together.

I was. I know my purpose in life. I've gone. I've gone through a couple things in my head. That right there, Me driving a champagne truck just kind of feels like. It just made my heart warm and fuzzy, didn't it? I. Yeah.

Okay, Nikki, so I feel like for some inspiration, affirmation, instead of us reading a quote, one, I do want to challenge us in the next year to start writing our own quotes and saying them, because you and I love writing and we have so many books. So I want to challenge us to do that. There's. We do two episodes a week, so we each come up with one a week. I think we can. And we're very inspired or moved by a quote. Then you can do that. But. So I want to challenge us to do that. Okay, but we're not going to do that. I'm not going to put you on the spot right now.

But I would love for us each to say, like, what do we want to come out of the next year? I feel like the one thing we've always been really great at, being open and honest on the show with everyone, is how we journal, how we have our vision boards, how we manifest. But we're literally turning 42 tomorrow, so when 43 comes, I know we'll stop the podcast. What is it? I hope that we can say, remember the episode before our birthday we said this and then either it happened or whatever we were hopeful for ended up happening. Whatever it may be, I would love to know.

Okay. Wow. So for me, it would first be to be an incredible teacher for Mato as. Even though it won't be till a little later. Well, actually it'll be more closer.

3. Actually, never mind on that, because I was thinking first grade to be a good teacher, so. Oe. Oe. We won't talk about that yet. But anyways, Mat is always my first thing. Right. So continue being an incredible mom in doing what I do, where I get to continue to be me and make my career constantly bigger and better. While I'm doing that, Mateo stays first. 42. What I want to do is to really sit and take in my Achievements. Sometimes I. You and I kind of always talked about this, but I don't really get to honor them or celebrate them. And I'm going to focus a lot on bringing in more fun. Everything's been work mom mode. Work mom mode. So where do I find the fun? Maybe it's, I mean, I'm having so much fun at work, but you know what I mean, right?

You know me, I, when I'm home, I don't ever do a babysitter to go to dinner with just the moms or find a happier.

So it's kind of finding that balance of putting the fun into things that I'll be surprised that I do. Like, oh, it's just doing that and like I still have all this incredible time with my son and. Do you know what I mean?

I have kept secrets with my wishes and they still didn't come true. So I'm going to tell you my birthday wishes that tomorrow when I'm blowing out my candles, this is what I'll be wishing for. So what I hope to come in this next year is for. Hi, my name is Bri. Joanna Gaines, Martha Stewart. Are going to be on my show so that I hope by 43 I can say that's happened for like personal life, I guess, you know, just kind of seeing my kids, just having, continuing the patience I have as a mother and seeing my children grow more and like the outdoors with gardening. You know, something we brought in is doing family bike rides and almost like teaching them how to live in the 90s even though we're in 2025 but just still exploring all the different things that I can help nurture my kids, physical activity and mental activity. And you know, I feel like marriage, life is good, keep it going. And then I feel like sisterhood wise. You know, it's weird because it's like I, I have a wonderful life and like a busy one. Like even the last couple days I'm like, holy moly, how do I have enough hours? Insanely busy. And what I have to go do right after this, I'm like this guy. It's fun. I love it. I feel blessed. But also I'm like, I think there is Definitely a last run in me. And I am like, I'm at the age and I'm strong, and I think it's because I'm working out so hard and I'm feeling good, but I'm like, there's a for sure a last run in me, but I'm like, you know, wherever it may take me, wherever it may be, I hope it's with you. Wherever that is at. Who knows whether it's for one night or 200 nights. We'll see. So, you know, I like, those are fun birthday wishes to see if any of that transpires to 43, 100.

So when I blow up my candle tomorrow, I will wish, like I told you, what I want from the year. But what my wish will be is that your girl becomes the women's World champion.
