Matteo and Buddy are officially obsessed with football! After watching some playoff games with their moms, the boys realized their destiny and joined the family tradition of cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles. It’s a fandom that is now reached four generations. It all started with Pop Pop, then Mama Bella, Nikki, and Brie, of course, and now the young ones are learning all about Fly Eagles Fly! Nikki is decompressing from The Traitors premiere and shares some amazing insight into her time in the castle. They also talk about the fires in LA, why Pacific Palisades is special to them, how their friends and family in the area are doing, and how to spot the scammers that have started popping up. Nikki also had a chance to take Matteo to the Charles M. Shulz Museum in Santa Rosa, and it was a big hit! There’s something for everyone there, and Matteo certainly had a blast and even found a way to get on the stage and capture everyone’s attention! Brie’s also given Nikki a new side ...

I don't know. A chicken on my head. The Nikki and Bri Show. Happy Wednesday, everyone. Welcome back to the Nikki and Bri Show. That's right. And can we just say fly equals fly? Yes, we can. Eagles. I am a little nervous for our game coming up this Sunday against the Rams. But. But this is what I love about this time in football and anything in sports. I love when it's so competitive, even when it's our team. Team or the team you represent and support. But when it's like, really, like, you're scared, like, we know we're gonna get such a good game. Right. It's nerve wracking. But this is what sports are all about. Yeah. I just hope our offense, you know, steps up this Sunday. Our defense, great. Yeah. Packers offense. And this is why I hate. And I get it, it's a competition. But when you're like, triple cover a really good player. Oh, like Barkley, squamous giving, like, quadruple covered. I'm just like, let him. I let. I know, Let us enjoy. I agree. But I get it. He found his ways. Yeah. We're here to win. Yeah, we are here to win. Actually, there was, like, a couple things that were really funny to me. Not funny to me, but I was just, like, interested in, like, throughout that game. Like, did you notice A.J. brown, how he was reading a book when he'd come off field, like when he sits on the bench? Oh, I didn't. Yeah. And I felt like, I mean, you can't hear what he's saying, but, like, he'd almost, like, read a chapter and then, like, talk about it and then, like, go out play. Are you sure? But maybe was he reading play? So they were actually blown away. They kept putting the camera on it. Oh, no. He was, like, a legit. But. And that could be, like, a way, like, he calms hit nerves in the zone or, like. Because, I mean, there's so much pressure, like, for him and some of those top players. I told Brian I literally had stomachs. I'm like, you're gonna get a kick out of this. Cause he was grabbing Betty some ice cream. But I was, like, hilarious. Yeah. Well. And Bri and I have been loving it because our boys have finally. And I know you could speak to Buddy and I'll speak to Mateo finally, like, have come into the family of accepting the Eagles and loving to watch the Eagles. Matteo just. It just started the past two games. And what I loved, I was telling the family today on group text when we were going to school, because Brie and I, of course, and I've been playing it. We both showed up in Eagle gear, but Mateo, recognizing the logo, starts to walk to school and goes up to everyone going, go, Eagles. Go, Eagles. Go, Eagles. And I was like, in the Bam. He's finally recognized. Yeah. This last season of football has been fine with Buddy because he's been super interested in football. And obviously the Eagles game, we always are watching, but he. He's loving seeing what the players are doing. And obviously, we know Buddy likes to see the physical part of it, but he's been very fascinated, and he'll ask me questions, and I don't know all of them, but I know quite a few. But I'm like, whoa, Brian. Like, it's crazy to see, like, all sudden when a child's very interested in something. Yeah. They have all the questions and they really want to know. But anyways, it's been a lot of football talk in our houses and as you can imagine, you know, with their families, because it is that time of year where every Sunday you get pumped or what the outcome is, Right. And, like, a cool memory for me because, like, seeing Saquon and everything he's doing for the Eagles. When I won the Queen of Swag for the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, it was cool because one of the segments I did was with Saquon. He was like a baby. I mean, we both were like babies, right? It was so long ago, baby. You were, like, you know, mid. Oh, right. Well, I looked damn good. You were not. Just kidding. 30. No, but he was, yeah, legitimate. Like, very young, but so I put that. I started that with family group text the other day because I'm like, it's just so wild to think, you know, when you, like, it's. That's when I take a minute of, like, wow, I've done such cool stuff, especially with cool people. And I. I. Holy helmet. And I had a really cool moment in the past week. Oh, let's hear. So, as we all know, we all found out that my first celebrity crush was Deion Sanders. And I got to tell him to his face, which was amazing. But somebody was very shocked by this. And so I got to hear from Westbrook, and, I mean, one of the best. Eagles, Philadelphia Eagles. And he was like, what, Dion? And I'm like, trust me, your poster was up there, too. I know. Maybe it wasn't, but I loved me some Westbrook. Yeah, the family was very disappointed. Very disappointed. It was hilarious. So. I know. I'm so close to just getting on a flight to go to Philly this Sunday. I know, but I know, you know, you just get amped up when it's this time of year and your teens in it, and you feel like, oh, we're. I mean, we all do, but, like, feel like, oh, you know, I'm going to have a game. Yeah, I know. But anyways, I am more concerned now if I'm concerned sitting next to Traitor or Faithful. Oh, well, lucky for you, you're next to a faithful if you watch. Okay, everyone. So, so curious of all of your thoughts. So, as you know, Peacock last Thursday just dropped the first three episodes of the Traitors. Season three, the season I'm on. So how has it been watching yourself back? Um, so I have not fully watched all three episodes. Are you scared? Because I've had. No. Because I've had Mateo, and it's just a show I don't want to put on with him around, so. And, you know, when he's with me, I go to bed with him and all that. So I literally haven't had a chance. But I've caught up on everything socially, and it's so. I know where everything's. That. I've talked to a lot of people on cast because people seeing things and. And I knew this was going to happen. Like how I play games and Bri, you know, this. I'm. I'm more of, like, a silent person when it comes to things, like, I'm not very dramatic or I'm. I just. Even if you saw my Umbellas and divas when everyone was getting into it, even the girl to My right, right now, like I just kind of sit back and I, I take it all in well. And I know you wanted everyone to know how great you did in the rowing. You guys, I was really good. I was really focused. Now that turned into something super crazy and now like looking at who the traitors are and the drama that was started. But it was kind of crazy when the men were kicking off all the women. But I will tell you, my forearms and arms were sore for days with that rowing because like, I mean I was rowing hard. I wanted, that was our first challenge. I wanted to prove myself as like it. This is where my strengths are. And that was the one thing that as a faithful. What I would always think about is excel in challenges because challenges bring money which bring money to traders. So traders are going to keep people around to excel like challenges. So like that's where I always thought about things. So when I was on to people I was like, do really good in challenges to get the money pot up. Don't you know? And then be careful of who you can trust. And like it's funny because how they call us the Bambi's, but I did. I do have an alliance with Chrishell and Gabby. Is it offensive that they call you the Bambies? No, I think it's so cute. I don't know if they're trying to be offensive, but I think it's really cute. I do too. There's so much that I can't wait to like continue to talk about. There's so many thoughts and like I can't wait to just tell you guys things right, you know. Well, I can't wait to hear them. Yeah. So make sure to catch up everyone on Peacock watch this Thursday. This Thursday is going to be an awesome. A nail biter. We like nail biters. It's going to be, it's going to shake things up, that's for sure. Well good. That's my favorite thing. I love chaos. I like when I see things just so chaotic. Nicole, after the London trip that Brian and I took the kids to, we said every year we need to come up with a really fun trip where, I don't know, like a place we get to travel to. And it doesn't always have to be the mountains. London was a really neat experience. We're like, why don't we pick another country or we can pick somewhere here in the United States. The kids really haven't been to the east coast, but we were like, let's find one spot and get an Airbnb. Like we did in London because it's nice. It's like. It feels like home away from home. And so he and I are starting to look. So you're gonna have to help us, because 2025, it's like one of those things. I feel like with kids, you have to plan a trip six months out, always has to be around school. But I feel like, you know, I always think of New York when I think of the east coast, but I think there might be some really other neat places, like Vermont. But to find, like, a really fun Airbnb for family just might be the thing for 2025 for the Danielsons. I agree. I mean, it's definitely the way to travel. And what makes it even better is while you're living it up in someone else's home, you can actually host on Airbnb while you're away. So why don't you try put your house on Airbnb making some money while you're out there spending some money. You know, I tell Brian this all the time. I feel like we kill it on Airbnb. Yeah, I agree. I mean, think about it. If you host while you're away, it's basically like you're making money while you're spending money. And you know me, that's what I like. I agree. And if the holidays drain your finances, so let's be honest, because they always do, hosting is a pretty cool and unique way to make some money back.
A
Right?
B
Right. We spent a lot in London, and I would love to see some of that money back, honestly. So for everyone out there, don't leave money on the table when you travel this year. Okay, so I think Vermont it is, with then maybe my house going up, and then it'll be evens. I love it. Okay, so your home might be worth more than you think. Find out how much@airbnb.com host this podcast is brought to you by Kleenex lotion tissues. Bri, this time of year, I feel so bad because we travel a lot. So, hey, everyone, make sure you always have Kleenex lotion tissues by your side for whatever happens next. Grab Kleenex. Well, I feel like something else that's been just wild kind of that we've all been watching and happening is these Los Angeles fires. Oh, my gosh, it's crazy. Well, and it was crazy because you were there last week when one. How many started? It was crazy. It was when I was gonna be on my way to go interview gabby at the LA studios. Oh, yeah. For SiriusXM. And I'm in my hotel room and I'm getting glam and I just. I'm facing the window. All of a sudden I'm looking, I go, you guys, I feel like that's not fog. And they're like, no. And then one of my friends, well, Claire was like, you guys, there's a fire right here. Come look. So we run over the window and we're off sunset in West Hollywood. And a fire had just started right there on the mountain. Like, I can't. I mean, you should see the video. It's rule. You saw it right there. So I was like, do we need to evacuate this? Crazy. And by the way, I was shocked how fast it was going down the mountain. Like, I was like, oh, that's how. How fast fires move, right? So immediately there's like three fire trucks. They're putting it out. And so as we all, a Sunset Boulevard was closed. So as we were trying to leave to get to the studio, I look and I see smoke. And I remember going tai Ling and going, I think that's Pacific Palisades. And she's like, I don't know, that might be too far. And I'm like, no, I'm pretty sure that smoke's coming from Pacific Palisades. Because, you know, you and I are obsessed with Pacific Palisades. Like that area for shopping and dining and hanging. It's just is really cute. Gorgeous area, great shops, great food, great people. Like, really fun. And the views, like, you're right. By the water. Like, all of it. Right. So all of a sudden, when we're trying to get out, you see, like, the firefighters run and jump into the fire trucks. Like, two of them. Because there was three for this fire. No. And then they're trying to get out, but Sunsets block. But they're going over to Santa Monica to make a right, because then you could tell they're heading over to Pacific Palisades. Wow. So all of a sudden we're like, whoa. So then I head and I go do interview with Gabby, and we're chatting, and by the time we get out and when we see the fires for Pacific Palisades, I'm like, oh, my goodness. So I get back to my hotel, and I wasn't leaving till Wednesday morning, and they had turned the power off a few times, but they're like, no, you know, we're fine. But sitting in bed and being right there and just hearing the fire trucks nonstop, I'm like, oh, my gosh, this is crazy. And then when I fly out Wednesday out of Burbank, which. The night before Burbank start, that's when their fires started. I just. Flying. And you know when you're flying, when you're leaving Burbank and you're headed up north. Yeah. You kind of. You see that part? And I just. I couldn't believe the fires. I couldn't believe. So it's so sad. It's shocking. It doesn't seem real. My heart is broken for everyone who's lost their home, who's lost family members, who's lost animals. And, like, I've heard, and, you know, I. I feel like I had to keep. I had to stop myself from searching so much. Well, I kept going, and I go, what's real or what's not? I had to end up stopping because I was like. Felt like I couldn't sleep because I'm like, I just. You don't know what to believe. Right? Right. Well, I don't have Twitter, so I don't see any of that. But I kept Googling. But Brian was like, bri, you gotta stop Googling. But I will say those wins because I had a business meeting that morning, and I walked. I. When I was walking, I take my hat off, and I thought I was going to fly down Los Angus Hill. The wind almost pushed me all the way down. I was thinking to myself, like, these winds are insane. Yeah, I never felt wind like that. Yeah, it's bad. And they're supposed to be picking up again. But, you know, our second Cousin. He and his wife and his two young kids, they lost their house in the fire. Lost everything. And I was talking to my grandmother the other day, and I was like, what's their game plan? And she's like, honey, they're in shock still. Still, like, they don't even know what the game plan is. And I was like, think of all those families. Derek Desert Jr. Oh, that's right. I just think of all those families and single people. Anyone, right. Who like, what is our game plan? Like, I feel like nobody knows because there's so many unanswered questions. There's like, well, think of your kids in school. And then all of a sudden the school burns on. You're like, well, what do we do now? Where do we go? Like. And did you even know, like, if you left your gas on? I didn't even know this, which is good to know now. So when there's a fire loads, right? Well, you could have a gas leak. That's why they're not letting a lot of people back in arms. But, like, if there's. If you're ever evacuating for a fire, you're supposed to turn your gas off. And I was like, I had no idea until I saw it on the news. I agree. But because you don't realize you get a gas leak. So again, I want you go back in. Yeah. So you have to, like, wait until it's checked. But like, I was like, all these little things, and it just makes me sad when I see it. And I mean, I just am blown away. When you see the before and after picture of the Pacific Palisades, like, it doesn't even. It looks like a movie. When someone said that, like, it's like a movie, I'm like, it's like a movie. Yeah. And, you know, being in wine country, we've dealt with a lot of those. The devastation of fires. And even ones from 2020, you still see a lot of burn everywhere. And like, yeah, you and I were like, we did a little further of a vineyard walk. And we're like, wow, isn't it crazy? Crazy. The fires went right there. Like, that community got so lucky. But to see the damage still, it's why it's like, my neighbor, her. One of her best friends lost their home in the 2017 fires in Napa. So they built. They had bought a home in Pacific Palisades and jail did it up as they were rebuilding their. To the one from 2017. So they just finished the one from 2017. Just got into it. But really Just led the specific policy. Tell me. And they just lost it. Oh, my gosh. Well, that's magic. What are the chances? I know. And that's the thing is, like, it was hard to see the fire, right? Because you're just like, oh, my gosh. Now it's. You're starting to hear all the stories and then your heart breaks even more. And you know, like, I never really post, like, to post that much about donations because I feel bad telling people, like, you should donate because you never know people's financial situations. But, like, I donate to, like, the Los Angeles Fire Department and then some of the humane societies, because the Pasadena Humane society picked up 400 animals. They gotta buy food. Yeah. They need volunteers, like all this stuff. So. But obviously, wherever you can help. I mean, from $1, right. Well, I. I tripped out because I donated to one that everyone was posting. And then when it went through and like this print, it said, not officially run by whatever. Oh, my gosh, no. So then I go, was that. Did I just get scammed? Then I couldn't tell there. You need to go to sites and you'll see, like, there's like, legit sites. No. And this was off of like, legitimate, like you, when you repost like this. Well, that's why I don't repost or do certain things because, like, this was off someone that I trust, like, they reposted and I go, oh, well, if they're reposting this to donate, then it has to be like, legit. And then also when it went through and I was like, wait, what does it mean? It's not officially run by, like, the people that I think I'm donating to? Yeah. I don't know. So I double check. It's true. So Brian was sitting next to me the other day. I get this call. I go, this number keeps calling me. But they're not leaving voicemail. So I pick it up. Probably shouldn't have. Yeah, but I did. Probably. And they're like, you have a past due bill with AT T that they ended up giving to us? Yeah. Would they call themselves? I can't remember. And I go, okay, what's my account number? And they're like, well, ma'am, we don't get that information. I go, you just said @t gave it to you. And then like, oh, gosh, you got. I mean, it was lie after lie, but in the worst way. I go, I know you're a scammer and you're not going to get me. I've called. And then I Always lie. I feel bad, but I go, but I've had you on the phone long enough. So I have all your information and I'm giving it to the police. So then they hang up on me. Yeah, but I go, what? Like my number though gets always in the mix. I feel like now though, it's so much. But you probably accept cookies all the time. Like when you go on site. I don't, but like if there's like a site and they're not letting me see completely, I might hit cookies. Especially the decorating ones. I'm always on like decorating heights, you guys, with your cookies. I finally, I'm going to be honest. I love you bloggers out there, but I had to stop crying because of all the different pop ups and cookies and what I what's been tough on me and now I'm falling into. I now will go to TikTok for recipes is I used to always Google recipes but have you noticed that everyone now does their recipes? Don't have TikToks? I don't know. No, not TikTok. I would always Google. But when you click on different sites or whatever, they don't give you the of the ingredients because they want you to then go through this whole thing. And I go, okay, now this is why I'm going to TikTok for recipes. This is why I like cookbook or a club cookbook. No, I agree. Commercial free. No cookies except no joint here to there to the cheese. Well, like yesterday I was trying to do zucchini fritters for Mateo and then I ended up doing like zucchini cakes. But then they came out more like pancakes. But it was because like all the, all the. I had to keep going into different things because all of a sudden I'm like, wait, where did their things go? And then where did this go? And I'm like, this is so frustrating. And it was just all really frustrating. He ended up liking them. Thank goodness. Thank goodness. But. And he made him with me from scratch. But I was just like, okay, so we did when we went to. Which I want to talk a little bit about too, the museum. The Charles Schulz Museum. Because right now Mateo is on a massive obsessed with Snoopy. And then Charlie Brown too. Loves Charlie Brown. But we watch all this stuff on Apple tv but they have a cookbook and it's for all different holidays occasions. Wild divert peanuts. Oh, well, but there's sub. It'd be on if you have a peanut allergy. You can't buy the cookbook. No, it's not a peanut, but it's all different characters. But it's a huge. It's a big cookbook. Wow. Yeah, it's great. So he was really into it. So I'm like, this is what we're going to take out of the store together. Not looking anywhere else, like, but because they have stuff like that in there, like the zucchini steps and all that. That's nice. Yeah. Going and doing that. Like, Bri and I were obsessed with Santa Rosa. If you guys ever get a chance to go wine tasting there. Yeah. Santa Rosa is amazing. So, as you all know, I truly feel like spring cleaning for me is the beginning of the year. Start a new year, right with decluttering. Sometimes the holidays, it can really build up. I feel like after the holiday hustle, there's nothing like giving your home a little tlc. Right, Bri? That's right. Head to wayfair.com right now. That's W A Y-F-A-I-R.com wayfair every style, every home. And obviously they are known because Charles Schultz, who is the creator of Charlie Brown and Peanuts, he was from there. And so they have like a whole. What do you call it? Well, not treasure hunt, but one called scavenger hunt to find. You talked about that on here before, but yeah, 76 statues, I think I was just reading. They go five. What's weird is when they say how many people come a year? So you don't do it. I fully believe it. The museum was busy, but what was cool is like, I really wanted to take Mato to the Charles Schultz Museum. There's other ones we've been to in Santa Rosa, but that one is more geared towards Snoopy, the Charles Schultz one. And there's a part of the museum where they change it every six months. And right now, what's in there is Beagle Scouts. So, like, that's Snoopy camp. Snoopy is, like, big in our house. And the Beagle Scouts. And so Mateo was in heaven. But I have to say, for being a legitimate museum where you can actually see and learn things, they also have kids. That stuff. That's nice. So it was very nice. They have activity room. So why did he start. Did you read the story and how he created Snoop? I tried. Everyone always says, go. Just sit and watch the intro. Eight minutes. And as we're sitting in, Matt started to walk away. Oh, shoot. That stuff's very hard. I want to go again where I'm obsessed. I'm Charlie Brown. And I become now again, more obsessed because now which. Where you need to sit and watch now watch it. As an adult, I laugh at all the hidden adult humor in it, but, like, proper, you know, like the stuff Lucy says and just all of them. But next door, which has been there forever, is the ice skating rink. And when I went in, it just gave me childhood feels of how we grew up. The smells, the way things looked. The cafe, yeah, it's like Warm Puppy Cafe or whatever, but it's very old school. But, like, very, like, easy, simple childhood feel. Love it. And we just sat in there and watched all the figure skaters. And then they were telling me, like, hey, Wednesdays at 11 is like toddlers on ice. So, like, if they're. I think it's five and under. Get to go on there, but the parents can be on there with their shoes, so they can help them ice skate. Cute. They. They said it's a little push thing. And they have push things. I don't know what they're called, but I know you. Yeah, but it was, like, really cool. Then their gift shop, then they. Then they have beside that, this gift shop and other mini museum. But it was just really cool of how Charles made that area for such a long time, from his Christmas pageant to all these things. He really made it a family community there in Santa Rosa. And they show that through all the years of, like, everything he did. And then also just, I mean, huge. It was. Well, yeah, but you just. It's crazy when you see how much Charlie Brown they've touched in all different kinds of countries. And I always think it's Charlie Brown. Yeah. His blanket. I know. Well, no, that's Linus with the blanket. That's Tracy's brother. That's right. But. Yeah, but Mateo. I mean, people were like, obsessing over it, because I got him a big Snoopy. And how he was carrying Snoopy. Everyone telling him, oh, and then this was my last three. He goes, I know. When we went into the activity room. So they play. They're playing card, you know, Charlie Brown cartoons. And you get a color, you pick what you want to color. Birdie would be in there forever. She would love it. We're coloring. But when Mateo saw everyone sitting at the desk, and he looks around and tv, he stands up and he goes, okay, so I'm going to be the teacher today and what I'm going to teach you. But he, you know, he was in his big talking thing, and he just. And everyone was looking like. I'm like, like, cutest thing. Heart melting. Heart melting. All of it. You guys have done a lot of fun adventures. Yeah, we have. It's been really fun. I know. Well, this has been a fun little chit chat. I mean, we're really excited to keep seeing you on Traders, and so make sure to tune in. What is it? Thursdays? Yep. Thursdays on Peacock. Thursdays on Peacock. It's actually funny because Buddy and I, we had the TB on, but he saw NBC, had real. Peacock had real big. The Traders. And he goes, dodo. Oh, no, McColl. He calls you. He goes, mccoll. And I go, yeah, that's Dodo. And he's like, what Dodo doing up there? I was trying to explain the show to him, but, you know, they get. Didn't make sense now. Pretty much. You know what I say? She was at a castle and she played a game. Yeah. And then he got it. It's been really fun because Nicole Mateo had been coming over to the house a lot to hang out, and she's actually helped me be on hawk duty with the chickens. Exactly. You've been. You're good at it. I am good at it. But how about how like, a hawk started to look at me? I was in, like, the cutest brown furry hat this morning, walking, and I noticed the hawk get low. And I look up and I go, oh, my gosh. Breed. They were circling me. I know, but I wonder what they was. They felt they saw, I don't know, a chicken on my head. I don't know what they saw, but so. Well, I say for a little inspiration, affirmation, you hit us with a Charlie Brown quote. So there's like, a few cute ones. Let's hear it. I kind of like this one. Just makes me laugh because it's so there. Humor. But don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. That's funny. That is funny. That's like, you know, I. Those are the things that makes me laugh, right? Like that something that Brian would say, say, happiness is anyone and anything that's loved by you. See, that to me, is Charlie Brown. That's very cute. Yeah. Yeah. What a good look at Charlie Brown making a comeback. You know, where do you stream it on? You're on primary app. Apple TV is the best. Apple TV has Charlie Brown. Oh, yeah, that's right. It has, of course, Peanut classics. It has Charlie Brown. It has Snoopy. Camp Snoopy. You have it all. All of it. All of it. All of it on Apple tv. I love that. Yeah. And you know what I have to say? Like, it's fun because they have a New Year's special, and obviously we know the Christmas special, Thanksgiving and all the things. And it's kind of cool to play for Matt, like, so Mommy's talking about New Year's that. Look at this is what I mean. And he, like, gets to know it all from them, you know, So I like that. I do, too.
