And it's always like, oh, my goodness, we're here in la, we're in Vegas, we're in Phoenix. But to be here in New Orleans just feels so special. We've had so many amazing wrestling memories here. WrestleMania moments even. I mean, I always think of Brian and the yes movement.

There's just so much. But to be here, super bowl, the Eagles. I mean, you know, it just doesn't get any better than this. And we have a lot of great guests on the show today and some bleed green, so I can't wait to get into that. All right, everyone, welcome back to the Nikki and Bri Show. And this is a very special episode because we are coming to you from Sirius XM's Radio Row super bowl weekend. The Eagles are here and we're in New Orleans. And what makes our next guest, our first guest, actually Radio Row, yes. Even more special is she's born and raised New Orleans. You all know her as the co host of We Got Time Today with Deion Sanders on Tubi. And we were on there and she hosts so many things, and you do so many amazing things. But everyone please welcome Roxy Diaz to the show.

Roxy, thank you for. I was so excited when, like, they gave me the list of everybody. They're like, can you come and talk to her? And then I saw you two and I was like, definitely. Whatever they need. I'm gonna be there for my girls.

Well, Roxy, you have to tell us, like, being from New Orleans, like, how is it seeing, like, your town just turn into, like, Super Bowl Central this week?

[Roxy Diaz]

Well, the one thing that's beautiful about New Orleans is this is a city for hosting events. Like, this is what this city is made for. It's been 12 years since we've had the Super Bowl. It took way too long to be able to bring it back. So I'm super excited to have it here again. I'm excited for Kendrick. It's gonna be a really cool LA moment too, you know, so it's fun. But this. This is what this city is made for. It is made for. You see our beautiful convention center. It's huge. It could house everybody. Literally everybody is here. And. And, yeah, the. The big game Sunday is going to be absolutely so much fun.

So much. I mean, we're gonna green victory is what we're hoping.

Yeah, we better.

But when you talk about Kendrick Lamar. Okay. Who do you think the surprise guests are gonna be?

You know, I go back to his catalog, and just the fact that he announced that SZA was gonna be there, I was like, that by itself is like. Because she's like, I love on so many of his records, you know, like that. But Kendrick, hey, he's got a very extensive reach. There's a lot of people that he's done music with so, so much. If you want a hint, you know, just like, listen to some of his. His collaborations, and you might get a good hint or two.

Right. That's what I was thinking. I'm like, Lamar, out of anyone who's had so many collaborations, I'm like, there has to be guest surprises. Like, with him. There has to be. When we were doing an interview, someone said that there's rumors that Taylor Swift might come out for a song because they have a song together.

That would be something. I mean, we know she's gonna be there.

Yeah. But I feel like, does mommy want to work or does mommy want to watch?

I mean, if you think about it, we have the bald eagle. We should be America's Team Bri.

I know. He would kill me. Oh, my goodness. But so you are back home. What's your favorite spots to go to every time you come home?

Oh, man. I really. Walking the Quarters. I do love walking the Quarters. I go down Bourbon Street, I go down Royal street, walk down Canal, and I just have fun just in. Just embracing the city. This city is the city of just walking around and enjoying it. You know, go to Cafe Dumont, get some beignets. You know, Oceana says one of my favorite, favorite restaurants here. It's on the corner of Kantai and Bourbon. A lot of history there too. Get some char, grilled oysters. I just. I just. I starve for three days before I come, and then I just eat.

That's what we. I mean, we've only been here 24 hours, and I feel like I've had 10 minutes.

[Nikki Bella]

You have to let go of, like, okay, I'm. If you're on the carnivore diet or, like, no carb diet, you got to forget about that when you're coming to New Orleans, because you're just gonna miss out on the culture and, like, what everything brings. I had. She was mad at me because I made a stay in last night.

Oh.

But I wasn't feeling great. And I said, we hear it in your nose.

[Brie Bella]

Freaking me out.

We. But my thing was. Was like, we have a crazy day tomorrow. So she was mad.

Because we were supposed to go do fun things. I go, we are literally eating gumbo in bed. We're gonna wake up to Bennet beignets with coffee.

But I will tell you, at 1:00am The. Was it cops? What was it? No, that was military making crazy, like, siren noises.

I, like, woke up, like, frantically, and then I, like, looked at my phone because I'm like, oh, I didn't know if there would be alert, but nothing. Who knows? People getting crazy, right? I did hear the Fly Eagles fly chant a couple times.

Don't put eagle fans on Bourbon street, by the way.

This was. We were born with it. But it's always hard to find and you guys just crush it.

You know, Deion is absolutely amazing. He's. First of all, his work ethic is phenomenal. It's something that I really, truly admire. Like, he's non stop today. Like I literally ran into him and was like, hey, hi. Bye. I gotta go. I was like, okay. Love you too. Love you too, dude. But I mean, from the beginning, I think it's because one, we were both fans of each other separately then to be able to come together and actually just shoot the shit a little bit on here. But just, you know, I hang out and have fun. It's just, it was. It's a good time. So we, you guys were there. We just literally have fun and talk mask the whole entire time. We just have a great time.

[Brie Bella]

And does it bug you? Because I, you know, following you guys on Instagram, that you have to tell people like, we're not dating. It's just good chemistry.

[Roxy Diaz]

You know, I had that with Terrence J. When I was on 106 and park also. And then I think that people just see two people that have great chemistry together and they kind of just want to put them together and it's just, it's not. It's like Richard Gere and Julia Roberts want them to be together, but they're not together. You know, they all had the separate life.

[Nikki Bella]

Yes.

[Roxy Diaz]

So it's, it's actually flattering in the sense that you get like, people think that, oh my gosh, those two are so great together, they should be together and stuff like that. But yeah, we both are very. Two very professional people. And sure, we like, that's like my bro now.

Yeah.

I can't even look at him.

And when you were getting into the hosting world, like, did you ever imagine that your career would take you here? I'm like hosting these incredible events. I mean, even the annual super Bowl Soulful celebration, which I want to get into a little bit, because we love Michael Strahan.

Yes.

But did you ever see yourself getting here?

[Roxy Diaz]

I didn't. I really didn't. I just been along for the ride that God has put me on this path. Like, I just. Like, I take every single day, every opportunity is a blessing. And I'm just like, okay, so I guess we're going to keep going, right?

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah, yeah.

[Roxy Diaz]

And then we just keep going. And I come from a radio background. I love radio. Radio is, like, really, really where my heart is. And I always said, well, I could always go back to radio. I could always go back to radio. So that's, like, where I see myself one day, but I just haven't had an opportunity yet.

[Brie Bella]

Busy.

[Roxy Diaz]

It's been really great. It's been really great. But I've been really excited. I've been very fortunate and blessed, and I just. I. I can't say enough. I got my GMA3 family with me right here right now, and. And I love them, and they're here to support me and my. To be, you know, adventures. And it's just fun. It's fun to have different networks to do work with, but they're all still really supportive and collaborative with everything that you do, Similar to Freehand.

So he pulled it over, and the Waymo pulled over.

Oh, people were coming in at, like, 4 in the morning. They were all karaoke, and they're like, yep, look at their clocks. And like, oh, my gosh. How is it just about this later? That freaked me out.

But New Orleans is a very late city, too. You got to remember, like, things don't really start happening until 1, 2 in the morning. And so it's easy to stay out until 6, 7am But I can't do that.

I, like, turn into a pumpkin.

Yeah.

But, yeah, you know, honestly.

And that's what they do, right?
