Thank you to Kleenex for sponsoring this special episode of The Nikki & Brie Show! The twins are fully leaning into holiday mode. With cozy mugs in hand, they're putting family traditions front and center. This episode is a love letter to the little moments that make the holidays special, from sipping hot cocoa to prepping for their legendary Drummer Boy Dinner. A tradition started by their grandfather, this meaningful family gathering brings everyone together to dress up, feel grown, and listen to Bing Crosby’s “Little Drummer Boy”—and now, the next generation is keeping it alive. Between debating comfy vs. cute outfits, unboxing décor, and planning the kids’ table, it’s peak holiday chaos in the best way. The twins also dive into Christmas wish lists (for kids and adults), Santa logistics, and the very serious question of how many Santas actually exist. From Matteo asking to ride the Goodyear Blimp, to Birdie and Buddy requesting a baby brother, to elves with full-blown personal...

A
Happy holidays, Brie.
B
Happy holidays, Nikki. I love it.
A
I love it. We're fully in it.
B
We are fully in it. I like that I got my little Santa mug.
A
Oh, I should have grabbed mine.
B
I know. Well, nothing like getting into the spirit.
A
Of Christmas, you know, But I fully this year, as you know, because you pulled that from my shelf. A whole, like, cups and stuff like you grab. It's a Christmas one. I put the other ones away. Usually I have, like, both out. Yeah, I only wanted my holiday ones out.
B
I love that.
A
Isn't that cute? Like this morning, Mateo and I, we made. You know how sneaks sent that hot cocoa cute pack. So we made it this morning with the marshmallows. It was good. He took like, two sips. But because from that set that you have, you've seen it, obviously, because I think you have it, too. The Sant and the hot air balloon. So he was loving that this morning. I.
B
Well, you know, you gave me, like, half of your collection. Do you want it back?
A
Maybe. Actually now.
B
Now that you're going to be doing that, because it seems like you just have mugs. You don't actually have the glasses.
A
No, I do. I have the glasses in the other Drawer. I just like my. Because, you know, my Christmas village takes up the other section. I love my Christmas village.
B
Nothing like walking to people's homes and feeling like you're in the North Pole.
A
Do you know what I mean? But don't you love the fake snow? My Christmas village now. Yeah. And Mato did that. I mean, I had a lot of cleanup to do, you know, because.
B
Oh, yeah. Sprinkling it everywhere. Oh, well.
A
What? Because I let him do that. I turn around and he thought we were sprinkling the whole house.
B
Oh, no, no no no.
A
The amount of vacuuming I had to do.
B
Oh, my gosh.
A
And you saw that?
B
Yeah. Sometimes I feel like it's hard for you to say no. Like, no, no no, we don't do that. You just kind of, like, do it and I'll clean it. Well, I.
A
For a second when I caught. I was like, oh, no no no, baby, you can't do that. And then I. Yeah, but I do, like, let him have a little bit of freedom making a mess. And then I feel like he need. He has to experience it or Mato will have to, like, he'll think about it so much. We'll have to do it. So I keep going. Yes. I have to just let him experience. Experience it for a sec or a little longer and then we talk about it.
B
Well, I mean, that's good. Yeah. I just had a couple big boxes come in from Pottery Barn.
A
Just for today, probably.
B
No, I. This holiday season because think I have all my stuff because I take. I mean, think how much of Nana's Christmas decorations I have. I feel like everyone always gave me their decorations.
A
Well, no, but I have a lot too. Of Nana.
B
Yeah. And I. So. Yes, so.
A
And you did get a nativity set for me that was. Which I actually have to say is gorgeous.
B
Gorgeous. I was like, score, Lennox. But because everyone's coming in for the drummer boy dinner, I was like, I don't really actually have a lot of things for, like, the kids table.
A
Yeah.
B
So I went all out and did the gingerbread collection and how. I'm going to say, set it up for drummer boy. Yeah, I mean, you know, a lot of you who are listening, you know that Nikki and I every year talk about our drummer boy dinner and we just, you know, it's our tradition. Our grandfather started it when we were young girls and he wanted all the cousins to this one night of the year feel like they were adults. So he and he and my grandmother would have the dining room table with the nicest china out for all the kids. Yeah. And then the adults are, like, where the kids would sit.
A
Yeah.
B
And we would get in line, youngest to oldest, and he would play the drummer boy by Bing Crosby.
A
Yeah.
B
And good old Bing.
A
Yep.
B
And we would march around the house and point at all the nativity sets in the house. And so it was always like. And then we'd open up our gift from them, and it was kind of the thing. And then as we got older, you know, like, you become rowdy teenagers. And then we'd always be like, put it on.
A
Put it.
B
If it was something. It was just. It's been a beautiful tradition.
A
My greatest.
B
The greatest. My grandfather started. And now we do it with our own family. So all of our cousins. We've all.
A
We've talked about it a lot on here, but.
B
No, that's what I'm saying for new listeners. So. And we kind of. Our cousins have all gone. We've gone. We don't all meet all together. Last year, we did for my grandmother's last Christmas, because we knew it would be her last Christmas.
A
But officially.
B
Not officially, but we all felt it. And so.
A
Yeah.
B
So I. I'm gonna gingerbread it up. You have to. I have to put some pictures.
A
I need to get a cute outfit. Yeah.
B
But then this is my thing. Cute or a little on the comfy side. Are you gonna do cute or comfy?
A
Well, you know, we always do, because.
B
Sometimes when I'll go to certain Christmas parties, you dress up. Right. Because you think. But you're like, I wish I was a little more comfortable.
A
This is what I've always loved. What I feel like we've done the past few years is we have it cute, but we usually have stockings on, and then we put our uggs on with it.
B
Yeah.
A
And that always ends up being comfy and cute, because I think if you get a dress where, yeah, it could be fitted on top, but it's not fitted on the bottom, and you put nice stockings on, I mean, it's actually comfy.
B
Yeah. I wore a cute skirt and a cute little sweater last year, so I get that. And I was like, I kind of.
A
Want to see if there's any cute, like, suit outfits. Like a. I would like to wear, like, a vest with, like, trousers. I think that could be fun.
B
Yeah, that would be really cute, Right? Yeah.
A
So, you know, order it. I know, but I've been kind of bad.
B
Do you have all your Christmas gifts from Mateo?
A
Well, for Teo, I have a few.
B
Well, you don't have to get me one.
A
Yeah, that's fine.
B
No, I thought.
A
Because I thought we were doing like, just like we. The draw.
B
Draw.
A
That's pretty much it. And then dad's family. And then I. I told Teo today, like, we. You need to start to think what you want to get your daddy for Christmas and your grandparents. So we could do that. So just kind of all that kind of stuff. But I'm going to do it more. My goal is to go to places and have him pick stuff out than us try to ship things for sure for him. I'm just bummed because a few of the sea monsters I wanted to get him now look like they might not be coming until late December. Well, like after Christmas. Oh, bummer. I know.
B
But also, why don't. There's some great shops around town.
A
No, totally.
B
He.
A
Honestly, he's gonna have a very great Christmas.
B
So. Yeah, I mean, I finished the kids and I'm proud of myself because no toys.
A
Good for you, girl.
B
I did. No toys.
A
I.
B
You know, and I'll say this, buddy, his was very straightforward. Skateboard, basketball, orange football. Even though he has two other footballs. Kit Kats, because I don't let him eat them.
A
I love that. You gotta put him in a stocking.
B
I'm going to. Even though I'm like, that kills me.
A
But.
B
But yeah, I get it. I don't. Mommy doesn't buy him for me, but Santa can bring him, so that's fine. There was a one other thing. I feel like you said a nutcracker.
A
I love it. Yeah.
B
And then Birdies was like boombox. A watch.
A
Was it a diamond Rolex she wanted?
B
Honestly.
A
All right.
B
I actually though I will tell everyone I found this cool watch company. I'm actually going to just pull them up because the way they ship it, the watch comes and then a cool book, but how they put it together. And the watch. I got her name put in. Oh, I love that. Yeah.
A
I actually was like, let's see it.
B
It was super cute. Their whole.
A
What just got added onto Mato's Christmas list yesterday was he wants to ride the Goodyear blimp. And he really wants that for Christmas.
B
Girl, you better make it happen, honestly.
A
So, Goodyear blimp. Hey, I know you guys fly every now and then, mainly for, you know, big parties, corporate events. I need. I need to get Mato on the Goodyear blimp.
B
You got to get that first class.
A
On there too, by the way, just so you know. Did you know the first Goodyear blimp? This is going to blow Your mind was built 100 years ago.
B
It doesn't. We're in 2025, so that means early 1900s. 1925.
A
I hate that. That's so wild.
B
It's wild because we were born in 83. So when we were young, the 20s didn't feel so far away.
A
And.
B
And, you know, I mean, it was far, but not whatever. Now we're there. We are there. Well, you know what? My kids both had number one on their list.
A
What?
B
A baby brother. Oh, my God. Literally. Buddies at a Christmas party last week tells Santa. He goes, what do you want for Christmas? He goes, a real brother. And he goes, a real brother? He goes, yes, a baby brother. And. But they both have different reasons. So Buddy's is someone to wrestle and play football with. Birdies is. So I have a brother that's nice to me. And I knew that was. I told them both it physically can't possibly happen.
A
Yeah.
B
So write other things on your list. Because for a while, Birdie only had a real brother and a real unicorn. And I'm like, she is just. You know what I mean? Wants us all to fail at Christmas. And. And then Buddy always copies her.
A
Yeah.
B
Like, so then he was on that bandwagon. But they'll still say it. So we see Santa. And then they're very big right now. So Santa comes to this party. Does he go to every single party in the world? So we kind of had to say, like, there's people who also are saying as helpers that dress up so they can get your message to him quick. I mean, gotta think of it all, you know? So the brand for the watch is called Flickering. Flack, flick, flack, flick, flack. But honestly, the book is really cool because I told her, I don't want a screen watch.
A
I know.
B
I'm like the Grinch. Look at it. I want her to be able. And she learns in school how to read time the way we all do. Look down. Look at the arms.
A
So.
B
Because at first she goes, I want a gizmo watch. I'm like, absolutely not. But. And the book it comes with so that they can really. Even though Birdie knows how to tell time, but, like, it's really helps them. And they put it together. Cute.
A
Cute, right. And make it like a whole little experience.
B
Yeah. So I've got her, like, because she loves tie dye and rainbows. So I got her like that and with a little heart and says, birdie cute. Right?
A
Yeah.
B
So, yeah. So. And then I got. Okay, so you know how Buddy loves board games yeah. So Buddy's obsessed with board games, so I went on Etsy, and I got. You can personalize Monopoly, so it's called Buddyopoly. Oh, cute. And all these.
A
I thought you did this for his birthday.
B
But it came the time I. I couldn't finish it in time and all this. So. Okay. So I've been holding on to it since, like, October, but it is so cute. And it's all the things he loves and all the place he's gonna freak out when he sees it.
A
Yeah.
B
So, you know, I did stuff like that. I was like, let's really figure it out. And then there's no such things as boom boxes for kids nowadays because they don't do what we used to do.
A
How about ebay?
B
But then I have to buy cassettes. There's no cassettes. There's no CDs, so you're buying.
A
I went down get, like, the mock ones that, like, do Bluetooth or whatever.
B
Yeah. But they don't even really do that. It's weird. So I will say this. I went down the craziest, like, rabbit hole of this whole. I was supposed to watch Christmas movie and didn't because I was googling and googling and googling all this stuff. Yeah. So what? I ended up because I don't want a screen right where they're looking at music. I want to stay away from all as much as I can. So it's almost like an MP3, and then it's a Bluetooth to, like, a Bluetooth stereo. So I did, like, a jbl, did, like, fun colors. And then I'm in control of their playlist.
A
Oh, nice.
B
So Buddy has one, and then Birdie, and then I'll connect it to my phone. They can pick their own playlist. Like, honestly, like, up to 3,000 songs.
A
Yeah.
B
So I'm kind of in control, but it's connected. So then when it's in their room, they can just hit the arrow over whatever. So it's just like two little arrows.
A
Cute.
B
Yeah. It was like, all these reviews about him. Like, parents saying, if you don't, like, want, like, screens and, like, all these different things, like, this is what they recommend. And also for people who want to go on a walk and you just want to listen to music and you don't want to have your phone because it's tiny, so you can connect it to your phone, have your, like, long playlist, just stick it on and go for a walk.
A
Yeah.
B
They say it's, like, how much better it is for you.
A
Look at you, Brie.
B
So look at when you take the time. Do your research. You find some cool.
A
Yeah, there's cool out there, you know? So if you were able to have a Santa list that was gonna head to the North Pole, what would be on yours?
B
And I was. Sleep massage.
A
Yeah.
B
Fix my shoulder.
A
Diamond rings. No, no, I mean for me. For sure.
B
Diamond rings. Yeah.
A
I would want, like, you know that one you have? Yeah, I'd want, like.
B
I'd put, like, the thin one.
A
I put four of those on my list.
B
Pharrell.
A
Spa day.
B
Maybe a. Yeah, a man under the tree.
A
Yeah. I mean, okay, first of all, take.
B
Away my gray hair. Can Santa do that? Yeah.
A
Well, I don't.
B
Or just come slower. I don't know. Can we please not have it come every two weeks? Right? Like, I just got my stuff dyed, and it's already sprouting.
A
I'm like, is all that research you were doing for your Christmas gifts?
B
Okay, so I did want to know this. So let me know. Can you, like, put, like, little hair extensions right here? E. No.
A
Why would you want to put hair extensions there?
B
To cover the grays or something.
A
You just have to color them. Like, meaning, like, you could do it with powder, with mascara.
B
Like, but even sometimes a powder, I feel like I'm. I look like I'm wearing, like, a toupee or something. Weird.
A
Yeah.
B
Do you know what I mean? I got over it.
A
Some people do. I think the mascara is the really good.
B
I used to do mascara a lot, too, but then it gets, like, weird feeling.
A
Yeah.
B
I feel like it almost like people's eyes come up and look. Ew. I know. What I really think is, like, I have to be better at, like, making my part and just taking the time to blow dry my hair down so you don't see it. I don't know. But if Santa can do it. There you go. That's on my list.
A
All right. I like it. So, Bri, I have, you know, I want to talk about some holiday tradition facts from around the world. I think it's fun to let people know. So in Japan, did you know that it's a tradition to eat KFC for Christmas?
B
Really?
A
That it's so popular, people order weeks in advance. I would love to know the meaning of that because. Yeah, right.
B
That's shocking.
A
I know.
B
I need to know the meaning, because that's obviously modern day. That's not like. Well, obviously from hundreds of years ago. Oh, yeah.
A
KFC was not around hundreds of years ago, so. Yes, that's modern day.
B
Why? What?
A
I know. I wonder if it's become, like, Instagram, weird thing, and then in Iceland, people give each other books on Christmas Eve and spend the night reading. It's called you want to take a shot at that Jolo Bo Colopholia. Obviously, I don't have the Accent by Slynn, but it's called the Christmas Book Flood.
B
Wow.
A
Yeah. I mean, it's actually really cute.
B
That right there is up my alley.
A
Yeah. It would suck if someone gave you, like, a shitty book and you spent your night of Christmas reading a book you don't want to read.
B
But then it's also very telling when someone gets you a book. So, like, at Christmas, they wanted you to know. I know. Like, a book, I'd get you a book, I'd get Mom a book. I'd get J.J. a book. I get Brian.
A
Yeah.
B
And it's very much all things I feel like would help you in your life.
A
Totally.
B
And so that'd be hilarious.
A
That would be. I like that. That's actually kind of fun right now.
B
I kind of.
A
Not that you would have to read it on Christmas, but just to give someone a book.
B
Why don't we start? Okay. We're talking about traditions.
A
Yeah.
B
That would be a fun new tradition for us adults to do at. Drummer boy. Oh. So, you know, like, we do the kids. We do so with our family. We. Because you don't want all the kids to have all these gifts. So we do. What is it called? Do Draw. So each kid draws a name and you get a gift. So, like, Buddy has Alice, Terry has Birdie. Yeah. Birdie has Vivian. So it could be fun for the adults. Either A. I guess we don't want a bunch of books, so maybe we draw names and then you pick a book for that person.
A
Yeah, you have to. We have to draw names.
B
Yeah. Next. You know, we're like four books. But you could use that for the whole year. It's like your next year of reading. But then if you didn't like it.
A
Yeah, I don't know.
B
But anyways, we should do that. That'd be a fun tradition.
A
That would be a fun tradition. Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
So all the way in Venezuela.
B
Venezuela.
A
Venezuela.
B
Geez. Venezuela people are like, that girl ain't Latin at all.
A
Excuse me.
B
First of all, there is no espanol in there.
A
I can say certain things.
B
Very amazing. Let's hear Arroyo.
A
Arroyo.
B
You even had to say it twice. It felt hard because, like, I had to warm up my tongue.
A
Okay, people, roller skate to early morning church services.
B
Wow.
A
That's interesting. I wonder if they all decorate their skates. What do you think?
B
Probably not. I don't know. Maybe.
A
That's very interesting. I wonder the meaning of that. I don't know.
B
I mean, to me it has to deal with just the physical part. When you're. When you do a physical activity, there's always such gratitude at the end. The way you mentally feel and physically walking.
A
Because maybe like get together. Christ. And like, I don't know, maybe you walk. But I'm. I'm curious. The roller skating. I don't know. So in parts of the uk it's a tradition to watch the snowman movie every year. I don't think. Like, do you think the snowman. Like the one we watch.
B
Well, isn't that coming to Netflix or somewhere? Somewhere it's coming.
A
Like the old school one.
B
The one. Yeah. That we grew up on. Is that the ice skates? Wait, I have to look this up.
A
Look it up. And then in Italy, if it's not.
B
Then I need to watch this.
A
Yeah, me too.
B
Which, by the way, we should talk about some. Oh, it's. And it's only 26 minutes. But no, this is not the one I was thinking.
A
Oh, yeah, well, we should watch that one because he probably does have an accent, so it's probably not the one we're thinking. Yeah. Over in Italy, children believe in la be la befana, A kind witch who delivers gifts on. How do you say that instead of Santa?
B
Epiphany.
A
That's not epiphany.
B
Delivers gifts on epiphany. I don't know. I'm not sure, but I've actually heard about this.
A
Oh yeah?
B
Yeah. And I don't know if it's because some kids at our school are from Italy, but I. I think I heard about this last year and I was like, whoa.
A
Wow.
B
Yeah. Because I think they do that. But that's like, interesting, right?
A
Very interesting. It's neat to hear other people's holiday traditions as well as other countries. You know what I mean?
B
Right.
A
Well, and it's really cool.
B
It is. And I think there's a huge importance of keeping tradition and the reasons why. Yeah, like, there has to be a reason why this started and was. Could have been during war times or a time of like, you know, poverty was really like, you don't know the reasons. Right. And so that's why I think it's important and to see how far we've come. And I agree. And good old modern day. I feel like a big tradition is Elf on the shelf.
A
You know what I mean?
B
We were fully in it. Consuming.
A
Mateo had a birthday party for his.
B
I know.
A
And he said it was Ellie's birthday.
B
And there you go. I so ours is chocolate sprinkle and Lala and Barnes and Nobles has their like outfits and I bought them and then I like was like why'd I just buy them? But you think of all the things you can do for your kids. Of course the pressure of hiding it every night and thinking okay, so I.
A
Don'T think it's really that hard. No.
B
But sometimes I forget. I get so tired and then I jump out of bed.
A
Sometimes I just do it in the morning before he comes down.
B
Well, Brian did that. And then he put it in the pantry real quick because he got nervous. You get nervous, right? Do it as quick as you can. And the kids came and they're like, huh, that's such an interesting place like they're at. Because he didn't like arrange it up high cute or something. Like just kind of look thrown together. Oh gosh. Just when I was in LA and so I thought that was funny. Like they know when the efforts put in or not.
A
Well, he couldn't believe Ellie over there was on Rudolph. He kind of was like, Ellie, that's not nice for Rudolph. And so he grabbed Rudolph and shook him off. And I go, oh my gosh, poor Ellen. He goes, well, I couldn't touch Ellie. But like Ellie shouldn't be on Rudolph. Like that silly Ellie.
B
That is.
A
So I put Ellie back on it. I go, well mommy's allowed to touch Ellie. But. And I put him back on and he goes all. He's so silly.
B
Oh my God. My kids would scream.
A
Yeah.
B
They like freak out. Well, so yeah, I'm coming up with like fun ideas because I got him like cute little T shirts.
A
Yeah.
B
And the baking stuff. And so I just don't then get it then. Dude. I don't either. I don't know why I bought it. I fell into it.
A
Yeah. Cuz I fell to the North Pole in the night. And then it comes back and watches.
B
Cuz I get on damn Pinterest.
A
Yes.
B
And I see like for me I'm.
A
Freaking flower flown around and like maybe clothes like if it was like at like a bar, like.
B
So what do I do with the clothes now?
A
I don't know. Donate it.
B
So this is my thing. I'm gonna try it out Michelle for the speakeasy.
A
And we could put them as a baker and whatever. I was snowboard outfit. It came With Mateo's. And I was like, wait, what?
B
I didn't got the snowboarder. Yeah.
A
And I'm like, I'm not gonna.
B
Let me see. Let me try this out first. I mean, I'm about to just. No, I'm not gonna break to them, but, like, you know what I mean?
A
Yeah.
B
It's a lot.
A
It is.
B
Will you. Okay, so you know what I do? What? Where everybody was a little naughty. That's where I, I. My inspiration is to put the elves.
A
Oh, wow.
B
Yeah. So, like, I love. Yesterday kind of pushed Birdie in the hallway. Like, all right, so I put the elves in the hallway, and I go, oh, why do you think they're in the hallway? And Buddy's eyes get big, and then sometimes I'll hear him walk by and, like, I don't care what Santa said. But, like, I. You know, he knows. Yeah, he knows.
A
Oh, he knows.
B
They follow. We're buddies.
A
I'm like, it's actually hilarious, right?
B
So Buddy's naughtiness inspires where the elves go.
A
Oh, my gosh, I love it.
B
The holidays bring belly laughs, warm memories, and sometimes even a few happy tears.

Thanks to Kleenex Lotion Tissues for sponsoring today's special holiday episode. Well, Bri, before we get in some inspiration affirmation, can we just touch on real quick? Monday night Raw. Yeah, because it happened Monday. We haven't chatted. Well, this past Monday. Did you watch.
B
Did you watch this past Monday? Yeah, I mean, I watched your segment.
A
Well, that's what I mean.
B
Yeah.
A
That's all you need to watch is me. Just kidding.
B
Actually, I watched it later, but do you know where I was at?
A
Where? Oh, duh.
B
You were at the Charger Eagle.
A
Okay, so let's.
B
Real quick.
A
And we're getting inspiration affirmation. We got to talk about Monday night.
B
Yeah. In a big suite and, like, living like a queen.
A
Oh, I know. I kept getting videos while I was. We actually. Wait.
B
We Had RAW on in our suite.
A
Yeah, you guys had RAW in your suite?
B
And I'm like, wait, how did I see it?
A
I'm like, oh, we had an Eagles game at.
B
Okay, before we get into raw, can I just say something?
A
Oh, gosh.
B
Those high up suites at SoFi. Is it SoFi?
A
Yeah.
B
Stadium are amazing. I don't think I've been in a suite like that before.
A
Wow.
B
Really? The view. So what they make sure not only do you have an incredible view of the field, but a perfect view of the humongous Tron. So, like, see, I like that.
A
I would have. I wouldn't have liked being on the field. Suites.
B
Yeah.
A
Because you can't see.
B
I think you get blocked. But the service, the food, like, especially because I'm gluten free, dairy free. Like, the alcohol, everything is like top notch.
A
Did they have Lalo?
B
None of us drink tequila, so I don't know. Would you guys drink wine? And then we also had like.
A
They had good wine.
B
Yeah, those, like mixed vodka drinks or whatever, like, spritzy things.
A
Okay.
B
So, yeah, very good wine.
A
Nice.
B
No, girl, it was like. Now I will say this. It was a very hard game for me to watch. So I think when you're there, obvious and your team isn't playing great and like, it's not like a home game for you. Those are hard. I almost was like, I wish I was watching like two other teams and just watching a great football game because I was. There was times like, I'm trying not to be grumpy or mad because, you know.
A
And you have other interceptions fans in the suite. Yes. Yeah.
B
So, you know, that's the only thing I was kind of like, just breathe. But we were definitely in the Eagle section. I mean, that whole side was the need for the Eagles.
A
And I can't believe how many fans came out.
B
So many Eagle fans.
A
So many Eagle fans. I think people were like, we need to get out of cold weather and we need to head to LA.
B
It was wild in LA. It was like 75, 78.
A
Even when I was there yesterday for the day, I could not believe I brought two jackets because I was like. When I was boarding the plane from Oakland, I was wearing two jackets. Yeah. When I got off, I was like dripping sweat. I'm like, what?
B
Well, and this is always a fun time of year. Okay. So travel, yes, can be crazy, but it's also a fun time because the airports are all our holiday decorations. We all showed up to the hotel.
A
Hotels are beautiful, like, decorations.
B
We, all of us cousins, walk To Wally's in Beverly Hills.
A
And. And, like, I love.
B
Yeah, it was, like, so fun. So I will say, like, what was nice is when you're just, like, going for fun and then you're soaking in, like, the holiday vibes. Christmas music playing everywhere. You're with family. It is nice to do stuff like that.
A
Yeah.
B
You know what I mean?
A
I was so jealous.
B
I know.
A
So jealous.
B
I was, like, thinking about you the.
A
Whole time I tried. I was like, okay, I. I'm gonna stay at Kansas City's nicest hotel. I was, like, googling on the plane. I was like, I want holiday vibes. I want jazz, nice wine. So I stayed at. I was about to call it the Rudolph. The. I think it's Raphael. The Raphael.
B
The Rudolph would be tight. Cute little reindeer with a big red nose.
A
Big time. But I sent you a video when I came in, like, it was done to the nine. So very holiday spirit. And then because it's Kansas City, so it's Central time, I was able to come back to watch the rest of the game and the jazz bar. I had, like, my phone up with the game on, and I. I ended up ordering a bottle from France because I was like, you know what? I don't. I want to just have two good glasses. Yeah.
B
I'm missing out with my family.
A
So I told my waitress, I go, do you like wine? She goes, I love wine. I go, have you ever had a bottle like this from Princess? And she goes, no. I bet it's amazing. I go, I'm only having two glasses. And can you please have cork the bottle? And you have the rest of my serious story. And I was like, yes. So that's the reason I got the bottle. So I had my two glasses, and then I gave the rest to her. And then. But we. There's. Because there's a few of us, obviously, who are Eagle fans at wwe. So the game. We were watching the game. Like, I literally was watching the game before I went out my sec to my segment, and. And then when I came back. But it was. Yeah, that was rough.
B
It was rough. Well, what was funny is the night before. So we're at Wally's, right? So we run into some people we know, which is like, it's always a small world. I swear, everywhere, especially everywhere I've been going, even the next day, I'm on the rooftop having a quick bite with the cousins, run into someone else, which I wanted to tell you about, but I haven't. But so he's like, I want to get you Guys around, you know, and we're like, yeah, awesome. So some of the cousins order like a cocktail. And then three of us were going to order a glass of wine, and the waiter's like, well, why don't you just get a bottle? And I'm like, oh, okay. And then I was like, wait, is this weird? Because someone offers to buy you around? And, like, so we get a bottle from Margot, but the guy took care of it because the waiter somehow convinced me that we should get a. Like, oh, that guy's gonna get you guys around.
A
How much was the bottle from the Margot?
B
Well, I said. I go, wait, wait. He goes, no, it'd be as much as getting glasses.
A
I don't know.
B
So. But then the next morning, I was kind of like, I wonder if he looks at Bill. And he's like, damn, Like, I never wanted.
A
But honestly, there was six of you, so buy the glass of wallies would be expensive, right? I actually think he would save on a bottle.
B
I do too.
A
I think we did. Depending if you told the guy like, hey, don't go over this price now. If you gave the waiter free range, then maybe. Yeah.
B
He's like, well, it's a bottle. We know. So I kept trying to, like, rack in my brain the price.
A
So probably two or three hundred dollars. Damn, that's kind of.
B
I was like, I'm never gonna.
A
What were we thinking? You're also offering around at Wally's, so you probably have money. Yeah, like in that way. Yeah. Yeah. So thanks for not watching my segment.
B
No, I did. I told you I did. I'm like, I couldn't remember how, but I'm like, oh, we had the game in the. Or we had it on in the suite.
A
So what'd you think about it?
B
I loved it.
A
Thank you.
B
Yeah, that was really good.
A
Thanks.
B
Yeah, I mean, they like seeing you. Like, I loved you coming out, demanding a rematch that I like seeing you get your butt kicked after. No, but that's fine, you know, it's okay.
A
But hell of a bump. Yeah, Hell of a cell. Little jiggle jiggle. You know what? Kind of also made me proud, though, in that moment. And you're going to laugh at this, seeing it back is you really got to see my glutes fire up. And it just shows of how much squatting and deadlifting you and I are doing and all the other things. But, like, I'm like, the glutes are really like, like working, forming. They're shaping up.
B
So stop body shaming yourself.
A
Excuse me?
B
No, you've Been better about it.
A
Thank you.
B
But.
A
But there I will admit I body shame myself about my stomach. And all the moms are with me on this as well as you. It's just. It's hard because I'm trying to fix parts that I don't know will ever be fixed by exercise. They might, hopefully. I'm trying hard to get there, but it is just hard. Seen yourself on TV after, like, having a child when you know certain things.
B
Like, oh, I'll tell you this. Kate Winslet had one of the greatest interviews on aging that you need to watch.
A
Well, this one, though, this part isn't about aging. And look, I do. And then we could go into that. Because it is a big parts of me about aging. Well, no, because someone could have a baby in their young 30s, in their body isn't what it used to be before the baby.
B
No, that's what I'm saying is like, we can't try to keep up of what we looked like in our 20s, 30s.
A
But I. I think I'm allowed to feel a certain way, you know, it's. But it's fine. Look, I'm. I have a healthy, amazing little boy. And that is all what matters. They're just. At times, I'm like all the women.
B
In the world right now shaking their heads at you.
A
Okay, whatever. But I'm allowed to feel that about myself if I want. But like you said, I have been a lot better. And I'm just working really hard at, you know, the parts that I just kind of want to fix and. Right. And I realized that, you know, some might not, but that's okay. Like, I still feel really great about myself, which is good, you know? Want to fix the under eyes a little bit, but that'll be for another conversation. I was like, wait, so people are getting, like, fat out of their hip and putting it under their eyes? You know, it's like really kicking my ass more than anything. What? It's the travel and it's the time I land on Sunday nights and I don't get to bed till later because we're Cali time. And then I sleep in and then I'm like, rushing the building. And it's just so weird those days. Only my under eyes are, like, the worst. They're so swollen. I think I. I bought this tub and I've done it here where it's easy to put your face with ice. And maybe I just travel with that.
B
Yeah. Or eye patches or.
A
I've tried. I'm telling you, I've tried so Many. Those don't work on, like, what I have.
B
Yeah, but you think taking fat out of your hip and putting them under your eyes is the answer?
A
Probably not. I don't know. It's just gonna. Jeez.
B
Next thing you know, we're gonna be wearing our feet on our heads, our noses on our elbows.
A
You're gonna say something like that? There are ways. I've known some people who got PRP and their under eyes look amazing, and there's a clear difference. And I'm like, whoa. I just feel like I might be at that point that I might have to fix my under eyes a little bit. But I don't know, maybe not. Like, the thing is, is I won't do filler.
B
I know what book I'm gonna get you for Christmas.
A
Oh, gosh. Love thyself.
B
Yeah. How'd you know?
A
I love myself, but just because I want to do those fixes means nothing. That's actually very normal.
B
Yeah.
A
And guess what? Because we've come so far in technology and all the smartness in plastic surgery, there's stuff like that that's very normal to do without being like, oh, she just hates herself. No, I love myself. And I love myself, actually so much that I'm gonna go fix my under.
B
Yeah, but I mean, when you think about it, we do talk in America how mental illness is.
A
That has nothing to do with mental.
B
What I'm saying is because social media.
A
We all feel like, I just see myself on TV every week, and I'm like, I think I could do just a tiny bit under my eyes. That's it.
B
It's shocking because when I see you on tv, I'm like, wow, Nicole looks great.
A
Oh, really? Yeah. But you never text me that.
B
Oh, insecure. I guess I'll start.
A
No, but it's called, like, hi. Sometimes it's nice to have confidence.
B
I don't want you to feel insecure, so.
A
Oh, see, that's, of course, how you would start it with me. Maybe just send me text going, wow, you looked really beautiful on tv.
B
Beautiful. I'll pick my own words.
A
Okay.
B
Obviously, I couldn't text at all this past Monday because I was very upset.
A
I know. I kept writing you. Hey, hey. Hey. How many times did I text you, hey.
B
Yeah, but on Monday, I mean, at.
A
A football game, because I wanted to know everyone's reaction to a play.
B
I know, but I'm not gonna sit there and be on my phone to.
A
Talk to you about plays, and then I'm texting you about the plays, and you're not even responding. Or mom when. You guys are my two people who always respond to me during plays because.
B
We'Re at the game.
A
I know. And I wanted to know everyone's reaction. And so I have to keep writing. Hey, hey, hey. I need attention.
B
Yeah, well, you weren't getting it from us, that's for sure.
A
Duh.
B
But I'll tell you what. We better take it to the Raiders this Sunday. Better look like a different offense.
A
Well, I'll be there, so.
B
Oh, shoot. That's right. You're going to the game.
A
I'm going the game. Bring some luck.
B
That's right. Oh, you invited me to it. That's right. Like, as if, like, supposed to be there. No, I can't.
A
Hershey's. Roz and Hershey. It's less than an hour. It's an hour and 15 minutes away from Philly.
B
No, that's smart.
A
I'm actually even flying out of Philly back to get a nice stop. Like the layovers. I'm like, wait, yeah, rather.
B
I think a lot of people's sister lives by Hershey.
A
I know. I was actually at first gonna be like, if they wanted to have tickets. So just let me know. I will. So, yeah, and I'm going to Flyers game tomorrow night.
B
Saturday. That'll be so much fun.
A
They're really taking care of me. They're even making me a jersey. Are you going to be on the.
B
What do they call it? The Zambodi. It's called the Zambodi.
A
I don't know how to drive a Zambodi. No.
B
I feel like sometimes you'll see people sit on them and wave.
A
Wave? Really? Huh.
B
I feel like it. Oh, well.
A
And what I'm allowed to talk about, but I feel like, I don't know, we need to wrap up. We need to get an inspiration affirmation. But I'm the grand marshal of the Fiesta Bowl.
B
Oh, yeah. I know you're excited for it.
A
I'm actually very excited for it. All the memories of the Fiesta Bowl. Like, I mean, I don't think we.
B
Ever went to a game, but I.
A
Remember we always have parties and barbecues for it. Always.
B
I mean, it's a big college game.
A
I mean, you're the best.
B
Well, how many bowls are there?
A
Way better than the Rose Bowl. But if you and your fam want to leave Tahoe early and come on the floats.
B
No, I'm sorry.
A
They're going full out for the parade this year.
B
Oh. Unlike every other year. This year they're really gonna go big.
A
Yeah, just like how Macy's went big, we're going bigger.
B
Macy's felt the same. Would they do different?
A
You didn't even watch.
B
Yes, I did. Oh, I had to watch the K pop Demon Hunters with the kids.
A
Oh yeah. They're just gonna be. It's just gonna be very grand and we're gonna crush it. So. And I'm excited. And I'll be at the game as well. So I'll be fun. Parade, game, all of it.
B
I'll be chilling.
A
They were happy that Firebird was going to be there.
B
Oh really? I bet.
A
But you know, can I just say one crazy thing and then we'll move on? Of what a full circle moment this is. Actually Caitlyn Bany and I were literally dming about it because she is like that is so amazing for everyone.
B
That's a girl we played soccer with.
A
Yes, soccer with. So she's been a close friend and it's so weird because right when you start talking it's like you go right back into it. Since sixth grade. I think she joined the team at sixth or seventh grade. She came in a little later.
B
Really?
A
Caitlyn? Yeah. Cuz she came from Paradise Valley. At first she was like, we were.
B
Oh yeah.
A
Cuz think I had to go up against her so much. We like she. I just was probably the fastest person I had to go up against.
B
Yeah.
A
When she was on Paradise Valley. That's.
B
I totally forgot about that.
A
Who was it? Like how many moons ago and who else came? Well, anyways, not like anyone knows. But it's just cool when they're like, yeah, you're amongst the names of some of our greatest grand marshals. Alice Cooper, Charles Barkley, Randy Johnson. And they're going like on these. I'm like, that's like people you and I like, we loved growing up in Arizona.
B
Right.
A
Like, like iconic. And I'm sure one day your name is going to be amongst all that you. You know, I know they want you one time to be a grand marshal.
B
They wanted me this time.
A
Yeah. So it's just really cool. Full circle moment. Do you know what I mean?
B
For sure. It's actually Randy Johnson. It was crazy because I saw him at a concert and that's what he does now.
A
Concert?
B
No, he's a photographer for concerts. Come in Arizona. It's like awesome. And you can never miss him because he's so tall. But I was like, oh that's, that's. I mean it's cool to see someone's.
A
Like do their passion.
B
Yeah. Like he probably always did on the side of baseball, and then once he retired from that, he moved into that, and I'm like, that's so cool.
A
I think it's so cool.
B
Yeah. But, you know, so if you are, you know, wanting any inspiration for holiday gifts, I do have my latest episode on. Hi, my name is Brie. Gives some really good ideas that are more on the green side. So it's like, you know, we can be sustainable but also have some fun. And I also have some fun activities that came out on Hi, my name is Brie, too, for the holiday season, so you can check that out. And tablescapes are coming up next week. Okay. So some really fun stuff for the holidays, but I say we get some inspiration. Affirmation. I saw a quote based on tradition that I thought really hit us with it. Brie. Today's episode. It's from Gustav Mahler. Tradition is not to preserve. What? I actually said the last name.
A
Right, okay.
B
Gustav Mahler.
A
Yeah. No, go, girl.
B
Tradition is not to preserve the ashes, but to pass on the fire. And I really like that because I think of the joy Drummer Boy has always brought us, the excitement, and I feel like we've always passed it on with the same excitement instead of being like, oh, this is something that was always done, and there's, you know, it feels like you have to do it. There's a difference when you have the fire in it. And I think that's what keeps the tradition strong.
A
And.
B
And, like, if you think how simple Drummer Boy is, the excitement we put around it makes it feel like it's like Oscar night. Totally. You know what I mean?
A
Well, and I think that's the important part of traditions. It's the anticipation and the excitement. Something to look forward to, which I think is so important for. For our children and for families and for the elderly, you know, like, and for the people who need hope, like, whether they're sick or there's something they need hope for. Traditions are so important for that.
B
For sure.
A
Yeah.
B
And I love it. So get your traditions. If you don't have one, find one. And hope you guys all continue your family traditions as well.
A
I love it. All right, well, happy holidays, everyone. Happy shopping. Make sure to check out the latest episode of hi, my name is Bri. Make sure to tune in to Monday Night Raw and see me conquer or fall. And make sure to compliment me in the comments. No, I'm totally kidding. That's waiting for the text from Brie.
