Welcome back to the Nikki and Bri Show. Today we're sitting down with a woman whose life story is as raw as it is remarkable. She's chosen to tell it with honesty, courage, and zero filters. From a complicated upbringing to becoming a best selling author, podcast powerhouse, production company, founder, wife and mom, she's built a life that looks nothing like where she began. What's so powerful about her resilience isn't just that she survived hard seasons and it's that she kept her heart open. And during Women's History Month, we're honoring a woman who proves that strength isn't just about toughness. It's about softness, loyalty, leadership, and choosing to rise again and again. Please welcome to the Nikki and Bri Show. Bunny. Xo Bunny.
Bunny
I need that intro every morning when my feet hit the ground.
Nikki
Well, you just call me up and
Bri
I will give it to you.
Bunny
I love that. Thank you for that.
Nikki
Oh, you're welcome. But it is true. And I feel like you've seen it. I mean, you're globally just a phenomenon right now with your new book out. Stripped down, unfiltered and unapologetic. Congratulations on all this success.
Bunny
Thank you, guys. It's so freaking weird, man. It's like I, I, when I wrote this book, I didn't think that I, I knew that it was going to resonate with certain people, but I didn't think it was going to resonate with as many people as it has. And I'm just like, man, this is beautiful. And I just, I can't believe that it came, you know, from me. It's kind of like hard to wrap
Nikki
my brain around, I bet. And you know what I find so interesting, I actually love is you can tell how many people needed to hear your story because how many people relate to it and feel it and probably have felt alone and then they Read it and they're like, I'm not alone anymore. So I was just like, wow, there's so many people out there who just really needed to hear. Hear your story.
Bunny
I appreciate that. And you know, what's crazy is I didn't realize there were so many of us that had lived such fucked up childhoods. I was just like, man, this is crazy. And what's crazy is I didn't think that people were going to resonate with the beginning of the book as much as they did. I thought they would resonate with the later on in life things. But everybody's been so drawn to that beginning, those beginning chapters. And that just really warms my heart because that just shows a generation of humans that are breaking generational trauma. And I'm so thankful that this book was able to be a catalyst for people to come together and be like, hey, I'm healing traumas too.
Bri
So I agree. Well, and I feel so much of the time people tell more of that later on in life and they don't get super real about the beginning, especially when it's hard. And people have just been searching to find someone to relate to and to teach them how to overcome. And so I could see that's why so many people probably got attached to that beginning. Do you feel that from that early part of your life that that's where you got your resilience from?
Bunny
I. I'm not sure. I feel like I was just born with a fire in me and I didn't know like, what I was rebellious about, but I. If it was, if there was any sort of authority, I was gonna go against the grain. And I just knew that I grew up around a ton of people that I did not want to be like. And then I realized young age, which is crazy now because I could never see like a 4 and 5 year old kid looking at their family being like, yeah, I don't want to be around you guys much longer, you know, but it's. Kids do do that, obviously, because look how many, you know, people have resonated with that part of the book. So I think that I was just born with a fire in me already.
Nikki
That's. That's incredible. And you know, when you speak of that fire, were there ever moments when everything around you felt uncertain and what belief about yourself kept you moving forward? Would it be the fire inside you or do you felt like it was something else?
Bunny
I feel like it was more of like, I just knew that I wanted a better life and I didn't even know what A better life was because it's not like, you know, like, my parents did everything they could for us growing up. We didn't grow up in a. In a really, like, rich family or anything like that, but they tried to. My father tried to provide as much as he could. So I don't know where I was thinking that my life was going to be better, except for the fact that I just saw so many, like, toxic traits that just I recognized as a child and was like, okay, I don't want to be like these humans at all.
Nikki
Yeah, well, you know, it's crazy because I. I look at my kids now, and it is. Bullying is, I feel like, always the main thing that sticks out to them, like when, you know, and I feel bad that you had to deal with bullying at home with your stepmom and, you know, and then, you know, I think at school, too, like, my kids, when they come home, it. It stands out to them. And, you know, my son's 5, my daughter's 8, and, you know, kids are so innocent. So I feel like the mean words, the. The mean actions, it. It does. It. It's crazy what it does to a child. It's true.
Bri
Well, and I. From, like, what you said earlier, too, I relate to that, where I feel like there were times when. Where I knew I wanted something better, but I just didn't know what. I remember times, like, when I wasn't in a great place, like, towards the end of high school or in college, and I just felt like I was abusing my body in certain ways, and I just knew I wanted things to be better, but I didn't know how or what that would be. And yeah, it was crazy because eventually then wrestling came along and I had soccer as well, but it was like, things that had to come into my path to kind of wake me up and be like, oh, this. This will make things better. This will actually lead me somewhere to be better. But I never even thought about it like that. But that totally hit me where I was like, I remember those feelings.
Bunny
Like, that's what makes me think of, like, you know, I am on the spiritual path with my husband as well, and we're trying to, you know, grow in our faith, but I just cannot help but feel that, like, we chose these paths before we came here because how, as kids and how would we be that young to be like, no, I'm going to break these generational curses, because that's essentially what we did. So I just. I feel like we chose these lessons and this life path before we came here and because. And that's why we had that fire in us. And that's why we were like. We didn't know what we were searching for, but we were going to find it. It was almost like a form of, like, manifesting, for sure.
Nikki
I love, actually, you put in your IG stories. It was either today or yesterday, but it was saying something like, I don't know, the Lord put you in deep waters, but he knew you could swim, and you're like, you or something like that. And I. And I do believe that's true. I, you know, Nikki and I both have strong faith, and I've actually really appreciated how outspoken you and Jelly Roll are. I think that's a beautiful thing, to stand in your faith like that and, and speak about it. But I do believe he puts us through what we can handle. And, you know, some have to really go through it, and you're like. And then some don't. But I do believe he put you through it because he. You knew you could handle.
Bri
Well, now we have purposes. Like, I, I. We come here, and that's why when we do things and then all of a sudden we light up. It's because, yeah, we're meant to do it. This is what we signed up. We are in heaven going, okay, so this contract, this life, this is what we're gonna do.
Bunny
Yeah, Soul contract. Y.
Bri
Totally. And I feel like even our parents come in, and some of us who've had rougher childhoods, we were their learning lessons that they needed to learn and realizing, like, okay, this is what I can't be anymore. And so it's crazy when it's so hard to see it when you're young, but as you get older and you start to fall into spirituality and realize the journey and the path, you're like, okay, now I get why you were my mom and dad. Yeah, I get why I was there.
Nikki
Yeah. I really had to learn forgiveness.
Bri
Yeah, that was a little hard.
Nikki

Well you know Bunny, I have a question because you look at you and Jelly Roll's relationship, I mean it's a beautiful love story and I feel like everyone loves watching it. But how? How did you navigate loving someone through darkness without losing yourself because of everything you went through? Like, did you kind of have to reprogram yourself or was it just kind of finding Jelly Roll in that love? It was just so easy to love.
Bunny
I mean, so to answer that question, I think there would be like two parts to it. So before I was with him, I had dated a ton of just douchebags. It was just what I attracted because that's the energy I was putting out into the world. And so I had a lot of knowledge going into the relationship with Jay of like this is not what I want anymore and like this is what I'm not gonna tolerate or put up with. And then when I got with my husband, you know, we I thank you for saying it's a beautiful love story, but I'm always adamant of making sure people know that we have worked our asses off to be where we are with each other emotionally and just in a relationship. Relationships are not easy. In the beginning, it was very rough. We were very toxic. And I did lose myself in the beginning of that relationship. And that's why, you know, when I hit rock bottom. In my book, I write about, you know, after I discovered my husband had an affair on me for 10 months. I was holding a bottle of pills, and I was just like, you know, I could just kill myself right now and not have to feel this pain because I'm just so tired of feeling so much pain through my life. And I remember in that moment, holding that bottle of pills in that bathroom, it was like, something said to me, like, what the fuck are you doing? Like, you over a guy? Like, no, we're not doing this. And I remember I put that bottle down, and I was like, I'm. I'm just not gonna. Like, this is not the end. Like, I'm gonna pick myself back up, and I'm gonna rebuild, and I'm gonna be something that, you know, no, nobody can take away from me. And that's where I was just very adamant about building my brand alongside my husband, because I was just like, one, I'm not gonna just be Jelly Roll's wife. And two, I am meant for more than that. That's what I felt. And that's no shade to anybody who wants to just be a wife. I love that for people, but I think my trauma alone would not allow me to just kind of be, like, in the house and not become who I am. So I did lose myself. And I don't want people to think, like, I've always. I'm always just like, this strong woman who forges through the fire unhinged, because I really have put my hand on the stove and been burned multiple times. And, you know, you. You lose pieces of yourself along the way, but then you pick. You pick back up and you just become stronger.
Nikki
That's amazing.
Bri
It's so true. It's crazy how we can find such truth and pain. And I feel like those are the ones who succeed and overcome or rise up. I always like to say, rise up like the Phoenix from the flames and from the bottom is when you find that truth in that, in those low moments, you're like, this is now how I'm gonna rise up from it now
Bunny
is there anything becomes purpose? Sorry.
Nikki
Oh, yes.
Bri
For sure becomes purpose.
Nikki
I mean, it really does. That is for sure.
Bri
Do you have to.
Nikki
Is there anything that you do in your life, whether it's weekly or monthly, to kind of, you know, keep. I would say, you know, for me, like, I have a life coach, so I'm constantly. I guess it's a form of therapy. But is there anything that you have to do to kind of keep your tools honed or keep you going?
Bunny
Oh, yeah. I pray every morning before I can get in my head. I try to put God in my head because the minute we wake up in the morning, it's so easy to just grab your phone and start scrolling. And our brains were not meant to take in so many people's emotions through a screen like that. So in the morning when I wake up, the first thing I do is pray. And I know that sounds so cliche, but I talk to God like he is my homie. I literally, like, I check in all day long, even when if I'm having an attitude, I'm like, lord, please don't let me respond like this. Like, I just want to be a different person. And I preach that we are baby Christians. I grew up in a really. Well, I grew up in a rock and roll lifestyle. Then my parents. I think my dad got caught in an affair, and they all of a sudden became like, super, super, like, Southern Pentecostal. And it was. It was almost like cult like. And so I had a lot of religious trauma growing up. And then my husband, also in, like, a Methodist household. So he. I don't want to say he had religious trauma because his parents didn't force him. Force it on him like us, but he did know who God was. But, you know, we've gotten away from him for so long, so we're trying to come back into it. So whenever I talk about God, I. I never want people to feel like I'm, like, shoving it down their throats. I'm just trying to express the journey that we're going through. We have. Speaking up about God online has been so crazy for us. We have received so much hate because of it from Christians. And I saw it's. It's wild. And also, Paul Wall is going through it right now. I posted about him in my story today because I guess he did the rodeo with Forest Frank and, like, changed the Sitting Sideways lyrics to, like, Christian lyrics. And now all the Christians are attacking him. And I'm like, how are we allowed to grow in our faith when people are literally persecuting us for trying to be baby Christians? So that's.
Nikki
It's actually disgusting. Yeah, that really bothers me.
Bri
Me. It's so weird because I feel like there's this certain group of Christian people that are so judgmental. Oh, it's terrible, terrible. And it's even times, like when I've talked about it and I could even tell, even in certain groups in person, and I could tell the judgment that's put on me, like, as if my thoughts on Christianity doesn't matter. Like, okay, she believes in Jesus, like, as if I'm not allowed to because the way I look because of what I do. And I'm like, excuse me. Right.
Bunny
Jesus loves the little children.
Bri
Yeah. He loves all of us. And he likes the edgy ones and the sexy ones and the cool ones. He likes us all and he appreciates us.
Bunny
And they're also. He was on the cross next to a murderer and forgave that murderer as he was being nailed to a cross. So it's like, why are you guys, like, not letting people just grow in their faith and, you know, doing everything that the Bible says that you. I feel like people like us will bring more people to God than somebody who's sitting there being a Bible thumper. Am I allowed to say that? I have no idea.
Bri
Yeah, for sure. But by the way, your book has proved that. Your book, 1000% has proven that. I mean, it's not even national worldwide. You're number one everywhere. And it just shows you that you bring more people to and be inspired and to love Jesus and to maybe get out of their pain, find their truth, to rise up like the Phoenix to whatever it is. You've done that more than anyone, for sure.
Bunny
You know, I appreciate that.
Bri
Yeah, definitely.
Nikki
And I know I always will talk about Mel Robbins too, in times. But, you know, the let them theory, it's like, no matter what, they were going to make their opinions about us, no matter whatever. Before we even spoke, they looked at us. They. They were already had their opinions. They were going to do it. So I'm always now, like, let them like, whatever. I. You were already going to judge me in the beginning. You already made up your mind of who I was.
Bunny
And I agree. I think my favorite thing is I love to make examples out of hypocrisy. I think that, like, I've always like this just, you know, like, I have this justice fire inside of me where I'm just like, I have to make examples. And I kind of feel like that's why God's bringing me back in my faith too, is because we don't want to be stereotypical Christians. We want to be people that, you know, Somebody compared us to the Righteous Gemstones the other day, and I. I loved it. I was like, that is awesome. But if that's. This is gonna. If this is what's gonna make you think church is cool. I love it.
Bri
Right?
Bunny
Honestly, Literally dress up like it for Halloween. I don't care.
Bri
Yeah. That's actually hilarious.
Nikki
I actually loved that series, by the way. Anything Danny McBride McBride does is, like, genius. Oh, my God.
Bunny
I have a Crush on Danny McBride. I love him. I've had a crush on him since.
Nikki
What.
Bunny
What was he. What was he before?
Nikki
He's bound and down, Eastbound and down.
Bri
I mean, yeah, I'll never get over. I think it's in, like. It's definitely in the first season, one of the first few episodes where he does the walkout, but it's like not a little League, but it's like, you know, he went down to not even the minors.
Bunny
Right.
Bri
And he's doing his walk. Walk out.
Nikki
Yeah.
Bri
I mean, all of it for the baseball game. I was like, this is going to be.
Nikki
It was the first character I ever watched. And I was, like, embarrassed for. And I'm like, I know this is all fictional, but I was like, no, don't do that. It's embarrassing.
Bri
And I love the movie he was in with the dinosaur one with Will Frell.
Bunny
Yes. Yes. I forget the name of it. He's. He's just a genius. He's a comedic genius and everything he does. And I'm the type of girl who. If you can make me laugh. Yeah, you can have my panties.
Bri
No, I'm just kidding.
Bunny
Totally kidding.
Nikki
True.
Bunny
I was on an interview with Gayle King and I said, if you can make me laugh, you can make the panties drop. And Gayle started taking her panties off. It was going to be fun. Gayle King is hilarious. You guys have to see that clip. It's so funny.
Nikki
Okay, I'm gonna go after this. Go look that up.

And so what. What made you want to start your podcast, Dumb Blonde? Like, what. What was there in something that happened or you just felt like, you know what, people are actually starting to really hear me, and I have more to say. What was that moment like?
Bunny
Like, yeah. So when I was growing up, like, most girls wanted to be like, Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera. They wanted to be pop stars. And I wanted to be a radio host. I have always wanted to be a radio host. So Howard Stern, I was obsessed with him as a child. Not that I should have been, but I was obsessed with him as a child. And then growing up, you know, my formative years of, like, being a teenager and in my 20s, Howard ruled the airwaves. Delilah. Delilah was like, oh, yeah, we would fall asleep listening to Delilah in the back of our parents cars, you know, and so I just always had this thing for radio. And then when I got with my husband, everybody, like, we did, I think my husband had like 40,000 followers. I think I had maybe like 35, 40,000 followers. And like, they were coming for us. They were like, jelly Roll's wife is a hooker and blah, blah, blah. And I mean, we live in a generation where if you don't tell your story, other people will. And I just got to a point where I hearing so many rumors about me that were not true. And instead of like, going on social media, because I'm never going to go on social media and like, fighting people's comments or, you know, post a ton of stuff about it, but I was like, how can I do this? So I went to my husband and I was like, you know, how do I tell my story? What can I do? And he was just like, just figure out a way to where you can resonate with people. And I was like, oh, okay, cool. Let me get a microphone. And this is before podcasting was even a thing. Like, there was Joe Rogan, there was Call Her Daddy, and there was like, maybe a few other, like, sprinkled in podcasts. But nobody was podcasting at this time. So I just started at my dining room table and just started. At first it was to tell my truth, and then I was like, wait, if I am given this platform, I want other people to be able to come on and tell their truth. So it just turned into that. And when I first started, I had a lot of sex workers on my show, and I had a lot of, like, drag queens and, like, all sorts of different walks of life that would come on my show and just talk about the things that they had been through. And it's evolved into what it is today, and I'm just, like, so happy to have become a safe space for people to come and talk about pretty much whatever it is they want, but mostly just all the stuff that they've been through and, like, how they got there and how they've gotten through, like, the worst times in their life. And it's just. It's really cool. Every time somebody comes on the podcast, I get to. I literally become their friend. Like, you can't sit there with somebody and have a trauma dump session for two hours without wanting to be in that person's life, you know, forever.
Bri
So I call that a trauma bond. It's like, we do that a lot on, like, the competition reality shows. When I did the Traders, and, like, a few of us became friends, and it was Chrishell, actually, who goes to me, goes, yeah, this is trauma bonding. We just are now gonna forever be friends because of what we just went through. And I'm like, that's such a good way to put it. That is exactly what happens to me with all, like, whether, like, you interviewing on shows, I just get bonded with people through stories and.
Bunny
Yeah, yeah, it's hard not to. It's hard not to fall in love with people and. And their stories. Like, anybody. I feel like anybody that has a bruised heart, like, I just want to hold them and just keep them close to me always.
Nikki
So. Well, it shows how empathetic you are, and I feel like, you know, that's something a lot of people have lost. And I'll like, I really feel like since the pandemic, empathy, it's like, where did it go?
Bri
Well, it's like they're desensitized.
Bunny
Yeah.
Bri
It's like the hardships in life or.
Bunny
Well, it's social media. Social media is desensitizing everybody. Everybody is turning into a freaking robot. It's like people want to see people dying, and it's like, nothing makes me more disgusted than people who are videoing people going through some of the most tragic moments of their life. And it's like, who thinks to pull out a camera and video in that moment, you know? And it's. Social media is doing that to our children, and our children are. That some kids are growing up to become these adults who just have no sort of empathy and, like, are missing a sensitivity chip.
Bri
Yeah. So sad.
Nikki
Now, as. As a mom, do you have to put, like, rules with social media, or do you. Are you strict with it? Like, how do you navigate?
Bunny
We've had custody of Bailey for 10 years, and I grew up in a super, super, severely strict household, so. And my husband is the complete opposite. He grew up in, like, he was driving cars at 14 to go get his mom's cigarettes, type of. You know. So we had to come together and figure out parenting together, which we did figure it out with Bailey. And in the beginning, yeah, I used to limit her social media because it scared me that there's so many, like, just predators online. There's so much, like, just stuff that her little precious mind didn't need to see. But now she's about to be 18, so in the past year, I've kind of, like, eased up on it and just kind of let her do her own thing because she's gonna be an adult, and she has to figure it out on her own, which still scares me to death too. But I do think that parents need to limit screen time. I just think that it's. Nothing good comes from your kids sitting, letting the world babysit your child. I just don't think that that's. You know, and parents might come for me for that.
Bri
But I agree with you.
Nikki
We are big advocates for that.
Bri
There's so much hidden stuff now online.
Bunny
Yeah. Look at, like, the stuff that's coming up on YouTube. Like, kids are watching, like, YouTube and, like, subliminal stuff pops up when their kids are like, that scares the hell out of me. I'm just like.
Bri
Literally was sitting with Teo, and He was watching YouTube, and I guess we happened to get on account because the one. My account, I have all the, like, no ads and all the blocks or whatever, but. So I must have just, like, had logged out of mine and didn't realize. And we. It was just up YouTube. An ad comes on. He was watching a kid show, by the way. An ad pops up, and it's a woman going, want your husband to you really hard. Just like that language. I literally go, oh, my gosh. And Mateo was like, what? And I'm like, it was a kids show, and that was the ad that plays during. And she says it just like that.
Nikki
That's all on purpose.
Bunny
That's what.
Bri
I wasn't in the room.
Bunny
It's pro.
Bri
He was watching on an iPad. Yeah, exactly.
Bunny
It's desensitizing the kids to stuff. Yeah.
Nikki
Yeah. I mean, I just.
Bunny
That's terrible.
Nikki
We just.
Bri
Terrible.
Nikki
We're super Strict because I also feel like people do not realize even if you're watching something Ms. Rachel, it's still. Their brains aren't supposed to digest information like that they need. You know, I'm big in gardening. You got to be out, get your hands in dirt, your feet in the dirt.
Bri
I mean, Mrs. Rachel has helped a lot of people.
Nikki
She speaks, but they're.
Bunny
I don't know who she is.
Bri
She teaches kids how to talk like little babies. Yeah, she's really.
Nikki
I love still something with the wiring of the brain. I mean, they're showing that, but she's
Bri
not doing like cartoon stuff.
Nikki
It's watching on a screen with the colors, the image. It's just not healthy. I know.
Bunny
My husband and I were just talking about that, that whenever our baby come raising them, I want them to just be raised on like music and also raised on old. Like old Disney movies. Because I've heard like the new cartoons have like stuff in them that affect the child's brain. Like, I don't know too much about it. I still need to read a lot about it. But yeah, when you just said the colors and stuff like that, that's. We were just having that conversation.
Nikki
I mean, my husband, he'll like, look at things and he's like, they can't watch us. Like, our kids will literally say. He's like, this is too fast. These scenes, this is gonna cause add. He's like, the story needs to be slower. Like it's.
Bri
Yeah. Mateo's been loving more the old school because Disney now has all the old school movies and then cartoons and he actually prefers it. I think he gets. They get so over stimulate. So he's like, yeah, can just watch something and enjoy it.
Bunny
It's softer and like, I don't know, there's just something about just everything from like the 90s and the. In the 2000 80s, 90s and 2000s. I just feel like was such a better time than it is now.
Bri
I said agree.
Bunny
Nostalgia. I know. I think I feel like all of. All of us that grew up in that era, like the nostalgia just will forever live in our hearts.
Nikki
It really, really. Well, I will always be homesick of that era.

Nikki
Back to Women's history month. You know, Nikki and I would love to know, what does sisterhood mean to you?
Bunny
Oh, man. Sisterhood means everything to me. Ever since I was younger, I have always surrounded myself with women. I am not a guy's girl. I am a girl's girl through and through. It. I don't like saying that because a lot of people say that, but I just love being surrounded by women. And sisterhood to me just means, like, you know, having just a crew of women that you support and that you love and that will, you know, guard your name in rooms that you're not in and that, you know, you're just literally a sisterhood of women who are just on this journey of life together, just healing and helping each other along the way. I have my crew around me all the time. Mimi's here. Haley, Like, I just have. I have my best friend at 30 years that lives with me. You know, I just love having women around me. I think women are the most beautiful creatures and we have to put up with a lot of. And I think that if we have that strong foundation and. And just that sisterhood of women wrapped around us, this just makes it a little bit easier.
Nikki
For sure. We've had our tribe. Gosh, how long have we all been. Like, 22 years. Besties.
Bunny
Yeah.
Nikki
And it is just. I couldn't imagine life without them. I'm like, no, Our girls. Oh, my goodness. I'm telling you, first hero.
Bunny
My first hero was Boy George. With Boy George when I was younger and, like, I wanted to grow up and be Boy George. I thought he was so beautiful because this was during the Karma Chameleon. Yeah.
Bri
Era.
Bunny
And I just thought he was so awesome. I had a Boy George Snoopy that I carried around with me.
Nikki
Oh, my gosh.
Bunny
I love that.
Bri
Yeah.
Bunny
Like, I was obsessed with Boy George.
Nikki
Oh, my God.
Bri
I remember seeing him at the fair.
Nikki
You and I went and saw him at the fair.
Bunny
Is he still performing?
Nikki
No, this was a long time.
Bri
Little girl scene.
Bunny
Oh, gotcha. Oh, how cool.
Bri
So, like middle school or something? Dad.
Nikki
Dad took us.
Bunny
Yeah.
Nikki
To go.
Bunny
That's iconic. That's the lore right there. No, not very many people can say they've seen Boy George perform right now.
Nikki
And we got. Dude, that's incredible.
Bri
Yeah, yeah.
Nikki
Okay. We're gonna play a little rapid fire fire for you. So.
Bri
With you.
Nikki
Yes, with you. So we have 10 questions. So number one, one woman from history you wish could. You could have dinner with
Bunny
Marilyn Monroe.
Bri
Oh, me too.
Bunny
I. There's so many questions that need to be answered. Or even Jackie Onassis. I would love to sit down with her, too.
Bri
Oh, yes.
Bunny
Both of them together.
Nikki
Yeah.
Bunny
At the dinner team.
Nikki
Right? They would have great stories, too. Things that they could never have talked about.
Bri
I think so much is untold. I agree.
Nikki
So much.
Bunny
Oh, for sure. Both those women took so much to the grave.
Bri
Yeah.
Bunny
Yeah, they did.
Nikki
Oh, my gosh. A quality in women you admire deeply.
Bunny
Resilience. The way that women can literally get hit with the hardest of hard and still bounce back and not ask anybody for help.
Nikki
Yeah. Yeah. A myth about strong women that needs
Bunny
to die that we don't. That we don't care that we have no emotion or that things don't bother us. Like, we have all the cares. That's why we are the way we are is because we care so much. We have. You know, normally, women like that have the biggest hurts, so.
Nikki
Yeah.
Bri
Yeah.
Nikki
So true. What does real power look like in a woman?
Bunny
Real power is, I would have to say, being able to control your emotions. Because I feel like women get a bad rap and they're like, oh, women can't run the. The. You know, America because they're too emotional. And it's like, no, I think we. A woman who can master her emotions can master anything.
Nikki
Yep. A moment you felt most powerful moment
Bunny
I felt most powerful. Probably telling my story, writing my book, because it was like. It was a release. And then it just so happened to fall on the day of the year of the horse. What is it? The year of the Horse. Yeah. And so it was just like. It was just a perfect storm of just being like, okay, you know, this is me being my most vulnerable form. Like, you're gonna know everything about me. Here you go. And I think that that gives you power because nobody can use anything against you that you've already told the world.
Bri
Exactly.
Nikki
So true.
Bunny
Yeah.
Nikki
A moment you felt most human.
Bunny
Most human raising Bailey. I'm telling you, man, kids will humble you and you think you know everything until you're. You're trying to raise a strong willed child who's just like you, and you're just like, oh, okay, I get it now. So, yeah, I think being in. In my. In the bonus Mama role has really helped me to feel human a lot at times. Oh, my gosh.
Nikki
I hear you on that. Oh, my goodness. A woman you think doesn't get enough credit.
Bunny
A woman that I think doesn't get enough credit. I think women in general don't get enough credit. I feel like we have to fight to be seen and heard and believed, and I think all women are like that there. It's. There's not just one. I feel like since the dawn of time, we've had to always fight against the patriarchy and establish that, you know, we're just as good and can be right next to a man, but also still be soft and sweet and everything that a family needs.
Nikki
Yeah, I agree with that. One thing women need to stop apologizing for being themselves.
Bunny
I feel like we're like, if somebody wants to be chubby, let them be chubby. If somebody wants to be outspoken, let them be outspoken. If somebody wants to frick. Have purple hair, let them have purple hair. Like, women want to get plastic surgery, let them do that. I feel like we're. Society forces women to have to feel shame for things that they've done in their life or things that they're doing in their life, and I just don't agree with that.
Nikki
Yeah, I agree. And last one, finish this sentence. When women support each other. Blank.
Bunny
Happens. I'm telling you. When women support each other, like, you get a group of women together, and shit's gonna get done. You put a group of men together, and they're gonna drink beer and watch football. You know, you put a group. You put a group of women together, and, man, we. I think we're in our most powerful form. Like I said, when we have our sisterhood surrounding us, it's so true.
Bri
And we do it all with grace.
Nikki
Yeah, really do.
Bri
Looking good. All right, Sunny. Before we end our episode, we always like to leave our listeners with a little inspiration after affirmation.
Nikki
Is there like, a quote or mantra you live by?
Bunny
Oh, yeah, it's an Oscar Wilde quote, and I put it in my book, and I. I just have absolutely lived by it. But it's. Hold on, let me get my bifocals on it. As you will always be fond of me, I represent to you all the sins you never had the courage to commit.
Nikki
Oh, yeah. That's powerful.
Bunny
Yeah, I love that. I've always loved that quote. Lived by that quote. And I loved it so much, I had to put it in my book.
Bri
Yeah, it's actually really cool.
Nikki
And that quote is made for You. It is.
Bunny
Yeah.
Nikki
I mean, I. You know, when I. I think of your book and your story, I'm like, wow, that quote is definitely made for you. And. And I know everyone across the world just is so grateful for you, Bunny, and for being so open, real and honest. Because I know you've helped so many, you know, survivors and people going through that. Went through really bad trauma. You've really helped open them up. And I feel like you. You probably don't even realize how many of them are now becoming these rising Phoenixes just because of you.
Bunny
I hope so. And I appreciate that. And you guys, too, man. You guys have created just this dynasty together of women who are kicking ass and beautiful and just. I mean, I love everything that you guys are doing. So thank you guys for having me on today. I really appreciate it.
Nikki
Well, thank you.
Bri
Thank you for coming on.
Nikki
Yes.
Bunny
And you get to meet you guys in person.
Nikki
Yes.
Bri
We have to.
Nikki
We for sure have to. We'd have so much fun with Saraya. We can all, like, together. Yeah.
Bunny
Dude, I love Raya. She's one of my best friends. Love her to death. She's the sweetest soul, dude. Like, man, I just love her.
Nikki
So sweet. Oh, my God.
Bunny
She's a. She's a real woman. She's like. She's all just. What you see is what you get with her.
Nikki
Yes. Yep. Which. So we'll all connect. That'll be so much fun.
Bunny
Let's do it. Maybe we'll see you guys at, you know, in some wwe.
Bri
Yeah.
Bunny
Situations coming up soon.
Nikki
I know.
Bri
I was so bummed we. Because we were at SummerSlam, but we remember we were in the box.
Nikki
Are you guys going to be at WrestleMania?
Bunny
We might be there. I do believe that we might be popping up.
Nikki
Okay, well, Nikki and I will be there, so hopefully we run into each other.
Bri
Yes.
Bunny
All right. The biggest hugs waiting for you guys. Okay.
Nikki
Yay. That's amazing. Well, you have a wonderful day.
Bri
Thank you.
Bunny
Thank you guys. I'll see you guys later.
Nikki
Okay. All right. Thank you. Bye. Bye. Oh, my gosh. I love her. Yes. You know, I've always heard amazing things about her. I mean, just because Saray is really close with her, but. So that was a really great treat. And I have to get her book.
Bri
Oh, my. I can't wait to read her book. It's. You know, what I love about her and this is what show has shown you, what the world loves about her is, especially as a woman, there's. There's these things we want to be, and I feel like, at times we hold ourselves back because it's not the way that the. The world has raised us to be of, like, women being sexy or overly sexy or outspoken or just saying how it is and getting to be these things, but also have faith. It's like everyone just has a certain perception of what we have to be. And she is such the prime example, that prime example that you get to be your fun, wild self and still be such an inspiring woman. Get to be a woman with impact, a woman that helps create change, be strong in your faith. And I honestly, that's why I feel like so many people are attached to her worldwide.
Nikki
I agree.
Bri
Because so many of us are edgy and are good people. And it's funny that when you have edge, people just assume like, you're not that. So. And that that's why your quote is so perfect. I'm like, I want to put that quote up.
Nikki
I know. It's such a great.
Bri
I feel it because sometimes I feel like I hold myself back because it's like, oh, she's not a role model now. Or she's not proper and. And it's like, I'm still those things.
Nikki
Yep.
Bunny
I don't know.
Nikki
Well, print out that quote.
Bri
Put it up on that. Read that book. And everyone please make sure to. If you haven't gotten Bunny's book to go get it, it's anywhere you get books.
Nikki
So anywhere you get.
Bri
Anywhere you get books. I didn't even sound. I was like, right, just Google.
