A
Big thanks to nutragrain for sponsoring today's special behind the scenes episode. Check one, two. Check one. Okay.
B
I don't know what to do about this camera.
A
Hello. Check one.
B
So this is the camera. And you remember how it was so easy to use last summer? So I'll show you.
A
Am I still on mute for myself? Because I can't hear myself, which I. I like.
B
I can't hear myself either.
A
And I. I like to. It just helps me know my range
B
if I want to find something on my computer, like the logitech. Do I have. Do I search that?
A
Yeah, I could hear myself. We could keep this. Yeah.
B
This thing. It was this. We did it. We did it.
A
Sit down. Let's do this.
B
Whoa.
A
My goodness. With all this nonsense, I'm hungry. You, Zach? You craving a flavor? O I always that chocolate chip.
B
Chia
A
got some honey, oat, flax, raspberry, Anything you're craving. Cheers, Zach. So good.
B
Well, as you guys all can see that it takes us always forever to get mics on track to get our cameras working. Especially when Nikki and I are in different places or they say how hard? Or even the same. You're right. I mean, there's always a microphone that's not working properly. There's always a headphone that's off or as we realized my one guy is down now sucks. So I'm gonna have to get another one of these, and I'm gonna have to get a new cord for my camera. So.
A
Yeah.
B
All the joys.
A
All the joys. I agree. All of it. Well, you know, Brie, I was. When we were trying to figure everything out and when we were working on sound and stuff, I, like, saw a photo because I was like, you know, to take photos of my angles. Because, you guys, I am so specific on my angles. I love this angle. And then when we have guests that come in, I always have to look at a different angle, and I'm always like, oh, I don't like that angle. I always want to go to this angle.
B
And.
A
But then it made me realize my background. Bri has a tree behind her, and I have nothing. And I'm like, okay, wait, we need to fix up this podcast room. I always thought, too, we have this random lap lamp in between us. And Bree's like, it's fine right now, but I'm like, girl, you got, like, a random lamp with two, like, pillows to the next of it.
B
That's like, well, vibes, well, go do something. I know you always wait for me.
A
No, not at all waiting for you. I'm thinking, like, do we do cool woodwork behind us or, like, just, like, the whole room? Or do we do, like, some artwork? Like, what vibes? Like, I want it to be very us, but, like, do we keep it bright? Do we make it moody? Do I just put a bird behind us and we have.
B
I definitely don't. I don't think. I don't think moody. Because when we were recording out of the tasting room, remember, at 5, felt too moody. I agree. So I definitely think more simple is better.
A
You know, we have, like, do we do bonita. Bonita it up in here?
B
I mean, I don't know. Or do you do wallpaper? I like the woodwork idea.
A
Woodwork, right.
B
I don't know. I think with pictures, what happens is they can be distracting.
A
I agree.
B
Sometimes someone's head is like. Then there's like a. You don't know what's behind you, and it can, like, look weird. So I definitely think something more sleek. I don't know. We gotta figure that out.
A
We gotta start to think about, I'm
B
the one who put the tree behind me, so it give me some other vibes behind me or, like, just feel a little, like, I don't know, there's life behind me in a way. So I don't know. But you know something that Nikki and I do. Besides, like, we're always talking about, we need to decorate this room. I feel like we talk about it all the time, but we always come to the podcast early so we can go over run a show, go over our notes if her. And I feel like I don't know about the segment or something. And, well, what's your thoughts on it? And then usually it helps us spitball before we actually get into things, which is always nice.
A
Totally talk about what's trending, what's going on in the world.
B
Always, always. And lighting, like Nikki said, always trying to figure out that angle. I've kind of given up. I'm like, whatever.
A
You do not. You always.
B
I never really get a picture taken.
A
Yes, you do. Once. You see, when I ask for it, then you ask for it.
B
I've asked for it, I think twice.
A
And I would love to, like, turn around your thing, and I guarantee you have a selfie light pointing at you right now.
B
Now. Oh, for sure.
A
Yeah. So.
B
But I always keep this one in, like, up here. This is my equipment that I keep up here, and I have it all, like, perfect for me. And did you see my new wallpaper in here?
A
Oh, no, I see it. I'm like, she's ready. I kind of like the wallpaper idea. I think the wallpaper idea could be it. Yeah, just like, that would be, you know, really pretty. Behind you. Okay, Brie. So I want to kind of get into, you know, we're right smack in summer, like, right in the middle of it, which is kind of crazy.
B
Yeah.
A
We're in July now.
B
Yeah.
A
Wild. What's the rest of your summer look like? Especially as a mom, but also as a professional athlete, wrestler, podcaster.
B
So it's been nice where we got a lot this week. It's nice because the kids are in art camp, so they're going nine to one. So that gives me time to get my workout in. Brian and I, wrestling practice. But next week, Birdie has tennis camp and Buddy has skateboard camp, and they're different times of the day. So I was actually today trying to figure out how am I going to get, like, my workouts in to my wrestling practice to then podcasting. So that next week's going to be hard because I'm going to feel like a little bit of an Uber driver. And, you know, I like to sit and watch, like, see what's going on. Now. Art camp, I will tell you this. I don't. Buddy told us yesterday. He just does not. He never wants to do it again. It's not for him. But I did say, can you please finish out the week? Like, I don't. Like, I don't want you to quit midweek. Right. So. But he's like, never again will I do this. And the teacher said something to me yesterday. She's like, I just think he gets bored. I'm like, he just needs sports. He needs to be active. Like, yes. You know, so. But yeah, So, I mean, I feel like next week's going to be a hard week on me because the kids, you know, it's. They're not going to be gone at the same time, so they're. I won't have alone time next week. What about you?
A
Well, I mean, you know, I feel like I'm always juggling a lot of things at once. Drop off at camps, you know, try to make it for our podcast recordings. Have to get glammed up before that. Adding a puppy to it. Remy making sure he's going out every three hours. I'm over here, you know, you're in Tahoe, I'm over here in Napa. So a few times I've had to run to the tasting room or doing anything like Bonita, Bonita. Grabbing content as you saw. Like, we have our calls after nascar getting, you know, distribution in other places. Gosh. From. I feel like, what else? You know, I've been trying to fit in some self care stuff there. Like, I feel like I'm the same. I've been living in my car. If you look at my trunk, I'm literally, oh, workouts. I'm like, I'm like, what am I forgetting, you know, here with my workouts. That's why, like my outfits, half cute, half workout. Because right after this, then I rushed to get workout in to go pick up Mateo. I literally had to make sure Mateo's iPad was charged. And thank goodness I have my boxes of nutrigrain in the car because then we go straight to me getting a laser treatment and Mateo will sit there with me as I get a clear and brilliant. Because this is just the way that you have to make it all work. And I've kind of realized that Mateo's been to more like self care appointments with me. But what I've realized is it's how I get it done and get it in and keep everything balanced and flowing. When people are like, how do you it at all? I'm like, you know, you really. As long as you got your food packed and you got all your different outfits you need in the trunk or just different things. Like, I always make sure there's swim stuff packed so in case we have a time for a pool sesh. Always have a backup outfit for Mateo. Always have workout stuff for me. And summertime, I always make sure that is walking shoes, running shoes, or like more the powerlifting shoes that we right now are in flip flops. You can get it all done.
B
You can. I mean, listen, when it comes to parents life, summer can be hard because schedules can be all over and we still have to work. But as long as you're prepared, you pack your snacks, you pack everything and you take the time in the morning to make sure, like you're not Rushing out the door. I feel like you can juggle it. You can make it happen. For sure.
A
Yeah, totally. Today, threw a little wrench and tip for me because I forgot to charge my car. I know.
B
Jeez.
A
So how to Uber it up? Well, I drove here and then realized, like, oh, to finish my day, my car needs to be on a charger. Drove to four places and all were down, so I had to drive all the way home and then Uber here. That was. You know. But, hey, I made it. Made it. And then I had a crunchy chocolate chip chia, and it made my morning. Then I was satisfied. By the way, thank goodness for that,
B
or I would have starving right now.
A
Starving hangry. You know, be hangry. I can't think, I can't function, and I'm just very grumpy. So, yeah, thank goodness for Nutri Green for that. Now, Bri, I thought we could play a game on who Said It? So in this game, we're going to play a round of who Said It? We'll read off something that was said on the Nikki and Bri show, and guess which one of us said it with mom brains. Let's see how. Let's see.
B
All right.
A
I'm about to make out with the pillow to make sure I still got it.
B
Oh, I know who that is.
A
I mean, I'm assuming me for sure.
B
You, but let's listen.
A
Well, I mean, I hope I. I'm about to just make out with my pillow to make sure, like, I still got it.
B
Oh, that's so weird. We did that in middle school. Yeah, you. I knew it'd be you.
A
I knew it would be me because
B
I know I still got it.
A
Ew.
B
I do, too.
A
I've had a few tests.
B
Now, you didn't seem sure about yourself. Oh, well, there you go. All right.
A
Since then, I know I still got it.
B
Well, we need to find out who those people are.
A
Okay, chill out.
B
All right, number two, I think I found my purpose. Instagram Police.
A
That has your name written all over it.
B
Yep, still am. But let's hear and see. I think I found my purpose. Instagram Police, please. I am going to be that. Yep. So all you mother effers better watch out. All right, number three, why don't you chop the tail off? Can it grow back like a lizard? Dang. Who would that be?
A
I mean, I feel like maybe I talked about a lizard, so that would be you. Or did I say that when I talked about the lizard?
B
I kind of feel that's you to say, because that's you. I'm going with you.
A
But what tell would I wanted to chop off. How weird.
B
I guess we're just gonna have to listen.
A
You're gonna go with me, but I'm gonna go with you. I think it's you. Bri, like, brings down a big knife to help Brian carve out this rat, and he's like, oh, my gosh. I said a butter knife. And she's like, I don't know. And she's like, why don't you chop the tail off? Can it grow like a lizard? And Brian looks at her and goes, it's a mammal. How so? It was confusing because you said it
B
and I was repeating it, but it was you.
A
Whatever.
B
All right, that's actually hilarious. All right, number four. Okay. Because you're an Olympian, Smacker.
A
Oh, I feel like you were probably being a and said it to me.
B
Yeah, I do feel like it's kind of so me. Let's see. Okay.
A
Because you're like, an Olympian.
B
Well, I would have went to the hospital, got my hundred shot. Oh. Oh.
A
That was me getting my Brie.
B
That was you? Well, girl, don't act like you're a saint.
A
I know you're pretty bitchy. Yeah, you're right. I can have those. Great comments.
B
There you go. All right, number five. Okay, well, I would a thousand percent risk it all and panty drop for Batman.
A
That was me, because I went everywhere. So, yeah, me. Okay, Well, I would 1000% risk it all and panty drop for Batman. Guess what? Still would.
B
Oh, where's Batman?
A
Where's Batman?
B
Oh, number six, you're dumber than a bird. Gosh, that's you.
A
Both of us saying that.
B
No, that's you. I don't. Yeah, that's you. I mean, if we can't say we can't build, well, then you're dumber than a bird, because if a bird can build, we can build like you. I mean, it wasn't to me. It wasn't to you. It was to all the people who doubted me on building.
A
By the way, raspberry nutrigrain bars. Just take me back to childhood. In, like, a heartbeat.
B
Oh, my gosh. Look at you. Yum.
A
Thank you to Nutrigrain for sponsoring today's sponsor special episode.
B
Okay, so one thing people probably don't realize is how much happens before we hit record for our podcast. It's glam meetings, checky notes, mom life, outfit changes, scheduling chaos. It honestly never slows down.
A
And during days like that, having reliable snacks, we can grab on the go makes such a difference. That's why Nutrigrain has become one of those snacks that we always keep around. They're designed for the in between moments that make up for a busy day. The commute, the afternoon lull, or the stretch between meetings.
B
Plus, they're made with 10 grams of whole grain and 10 vitamins and minerals and no high fructose corn syrup, so they're an easy option to keep stocked in our bags at the studio.
A
And we've been trying the new Nutrigrain Crunchy bars lately. With delicious flavors like chocolate chip Chia and Honey Oat flavored flax. They have this crisp, satisfying texture. Plus, each bar contains at least 23 grams of whole grains and provides a good source of fiber. It's a satisfying, crunchy Tide me over for any time of the day.
B
Huge thanks to Nutrigrain for helping fuel all the behind the scenes chaos for our everyday lives.
A
Find nutritious and always delicious Nutrigrain bars at your favorite store or online retailer today.
B
And look for new Nutri Grain Crunchy bars in stores near you. Okay, number seven. I don't need grapes. I don't need love. Gosh.
A
I mean, it would be me in my era, but then again, I'm gonna say you. Okay. I'm gonna say me, too. I'm like one. I don't need grapes. I don't need love. I don't need. I don't need. I won't. I want love.
B
All right, number eight. He's a Leo, so we're not giving him enough attention. Ooh, this is tough, because this can be.
A
I want to say it was you. Maybe when Mateo came in.
B
Maybe. Yeah.
A
Or right.
B
Yeah, Me. He's a Leo, so we're not giving him the tension. You could be mad about that.
A
Yeah.
B
All right, number nine. Girl, you're half Mexican.
A
I feel like that was mean to you.
B
Yeah.
A
You speak terrible Spanish.
B
I feel like that's me saying it to you. Because you do.
A
No, I don't. I'm way better than you.
B
Oh, my gosh. But you act like you could speak.
A
But she says it, of course. In a beautiful Latina accent.
B
Girl, you're half Mexican.
A
Well, I back.
B
That was you. I knew it. Yeah. Trying to be like, see? Espanol mucho.
A
You had to hear Mateo to Mom today. Mom was like, no, he's so good. I go, I know. He. You had to hear him say all the things because he told me a story last night. It was our bedtime story. It went on for, like, 10 minutes how when he's 3 years old, living in Mexico, on the biggest train in the world, and he'll be like, me. And then he, like, said. Does these Spanish words, and he does the full accent. So I had. I go, teo, we were FaceTiming with Gigi this morning. I go, can you tell Gigi about the story you were telling mommy last night? And he went on the whole thing, like, so when I was on the biggest train in Mexico and I was going through the cool schools, mountains, like, he'll make up stuff, but, like, the perfect accent.
B
Mom's like, goodness, yeah, good for him. All right, number 10. I'm at a point in my life where I don't even apologize anymore. So guessing that's me. And if it's not me, I wish I said it. I butcher every single word known to the English dictionary, and I'm at a point in my life where I don't even apologize anymore. It is what it is. Boom, boom. If you don't know, now you know. All right, number 11, maybe just send me a text going, wow, you looked really beautiful. That's you.
A
That's like, you know, E. That's like, what? Yeah, my vibe. What. What is that kind of vibe? I'd love to know.
B
I don't know, but let's listen. Let's.
A
Yeah, maybe just send me a text going, wow, you looked really beautiful on tv.
B
Beautiful.
A
That's so funny, because you didn't text me that.
B
I know you didn't text me.
A
I looked beautiful on tv.
B
Are you sure you're not a Leo? I feel like a Scorpio. Wouldn't want that. Okay, number 12 would demand that. From who? Not their sister. Number 12, the mouth and brain remembers. Oh, no, my laptop. That's for sure.
A
You for sure me.
B
Oh,
A
if it dies, I'll be so mad at you.
B
Yeah, it's gonna die soon.
A
And you don't have a charger.
B
Well, because I used it for the camera. See, you guys. This is what we're talking about. Behind the scenes. I gotta get.
A
Freeze. Behind the scenes. She doesn't have extra chords. How do you not have extra chords? Okay, we'll go with me. The mouth and brain remembers. I don't remember that, but I feel like you can kiss.
B
It's natural. You're mouth and brain. It all remembers. I knew that was gonna be like riding a bike.
A
Okay, great.
B
Wow. You know, I feel like we're talking about something perverted. Good for me. Last one.
A
Okay, don't.
B
Okay, don't make this.
A
I feel like that's for sure you. No way. Right?
B
I kind of feel that's. You kind of felt like I went a little cash. Okay, don't make this about you. Okay, Nikki. Nikki for sure. Oh, don't talk about yourself. Let's go back to me and let's talk about me.
A
No, you did that to one of our guests. So I had to stick up for the guests where you were making it about you.
B
No, I mean they needed. Yeah, 100 need to. They wanted me to maybe communicate and have a conversation instead of interviewing them. All right, let me really quick plug in my laptop. I'm gonna have to lose this com this thing, girl. Okay. Am I fine to go back to this camera? I guess the nice thing is we're lucky you guys get to see all this. All right, everyone, for our next segment, we're gonna do. We've only done this one time, but I actually really enjoyed it.
A
Am I the a hole?
B
So am I the a hole for going after this job interview? My boyfriend and I are in a long distance relationship about 500 km apart, and we usually see each other once a month. I work in marketing and he works for one of the biggest TV networks here. He's still growing in his career, so I don't think it would make sense for him to move to my city. Because of that, I've been applying only to jobs in his city or remote positions, so I could eventually move there. My current job already pays me really well and gives me the flexibility to make that move when the time comes. But yesterday I found a really good opportunity at a multinational company in my city. It would pay a little more than I make now, but it's the kind of traditional in office job that I'd probably stay at for a long time. The problem is that we had agreed I wouldn't keep applying for local jobs because it goes against our plan for closing the distance. I applied for the interview without telling my boyfriend, and I haven't talked to him about it yet. I kind of feel like an. Because it goes against what we had agreed on. Am I the. Am I the jerk?
A
What do you think for sure she is you. This is my thing, right? Relationships, like the foundation, is built on trust and communication. So you actually. What seems is he actually communicated with you and you guys had a great conversation that you wouldn't keep applying for local jobs because, you know, you guys are trying to close that distance. You're trying to take the next step. So behind his back, you go and you apply and now you get a position and now you're like oops. So yeah, you are the. Because it seemed like, wow, you have a great communicator. And then you're going against everything you guys just discussed.
B
So I'm gonna go against you on this. I am gonna play what a 42 year old woman would say based on experience is I would never plan my life for my boyfriend. I decided to say yes to wrestling when I was in a serious relationship. He did not like that it was going to cause distance. Didn't blame him, but I did it for me. And in my heart maybe at that time I thought there could be something more out of this relationship. But honestly it wasn't. No, it wasn't the right relationship for me. We weren't right for each other. And I'm happy I didn't say no to that opportunity because of my boyfriend. I feel like in life we have to make decisions for ourself and everything else will fall in place if it's the right decision. Now listen to this. She is it. Should she have communication 100%. My marriage is thrived because of communication. So yes, I would have a conversation with your boyfriend. Does make you a little bit of a jerk. You did behind his back. But you're not an asshole for doing it because you do got to do you. And you never know what opportunity might come up for him in that city and then it all works out. Or he might be the right guy, I don't know, next week he might find out he's cheating on you. Who knows? And then you didn't give up some awesome career opportunity for this guy.
A
Okay, so real quick, yeah, look, because I feel like I didn't get a fully finished. No matter what you're, you're the asshole for doing like what you guys didn't agree upon. But also to me is then it's just not the right person. Because if it was the right person for you, you wouldn't even go apply. You would really want to make it work to be together, right? But then the fact that you started to apply for local and wanting the bigger better job, then it just means like the relationship isn't for you, like how you want it to be. And that's okay. We can all admit that like whoa, I. We've all done this in relationships, right? We've all have had asshole moments that we have to take accountability for, right? You gotta look and go, hey, I made this agreement with this person, totally the went against it, didn't tell him about it. Got the job. But now I need to, like, do work on myself. Look at it from the outer part and be like, guess I'm just not that into him. Because I actually went and did those things. Think of, like, how you felt with Brian and you were, like, tugged with those emotions. But at the end, you sacrifice certain things to make it work because you're like, I found the man of my dreams. Just isn't the man of her dreams.
B
Yeah, still an no. I don't think you are. I don't think you are. Lied.
A
You lied. Yes.
B
Make her an no.
A
But this is just our segment and we just. You're an a hole. You lied.
B
Game over to me. Not to me.
A
Okay, look, there's a difference from being an a hole to a bad person. You had an a hole moment. That was an a hole moment. We've all had moments.
B
Good for you. I hope it works out.
A
Me too.
B
I do do. All right.
A
All right, Bri, we're going to play another game. The Nikki and Bri studio rankings. So as you all have seen on our YouTube channel and even tuning in wherever you get your podcast, the Nikki and Bri show has had the chance to record this incredible podcast show in some amazing studios. So today we are going to rank our favorite studios, and then, Bri, you got to tell us why each of us. So we're going to have five studios. We got to all put them in a place. It's going to be between the Nicki and Bri show podcast room, Sirius XM Louisiana Garage, Sirius XM New York Fishbowl, Sirius XM Nashville, and the Sirius XM Las Vegas studio. That's really hard. I feel like I already know what our number five would be.
B
Our podcast room.
A
Our podcast room.
B
Yeah. Put it at number five.
A
Okay. Podcast room is at number five. Cool vibe. You know, it's convenient when we're together, but you guys know Brienne are social butterflies. We love to be out and about and interact.
B
Yeah.
A
Okay.
B
Number four, if there's an interior designer who's listening right now, come design our podcast room.
A
Yeah.
B
All right. Oh, we're starting at the bottom up, so we're going worse to best. Yeah. Okay.
A
It's.
B
I am going to go with.
A
I think I know Nashville.
B
SiriusXM Nashville. Yeah.
A
But I liked it because we had such an incredible opportunity to bring such incredible guests. And I like film.
B
I would do Nashville. Oh, yeah, for sure. Again, I'm just. I'm ranking right now.
A
Okay. Number three, I will. I would put Sirius XMLA Garage there, for sure. Yeah.
B
Yep, yep.
A
Okay.
B
And then number two.
A
Number two. I know what I would put.
B
I put the fishbowl.
A
Yeah.
B
I put New York Fishbowl.
A
New York Fishbowl.
B
And my favorite place to record is Las Vegas. Just studio. I think it's the best.
A
Me, too. The vibe. Everybody walk by, they could hear us live. The way it's set up, we have our drinks. There's just something about it. Yeah.
B
And listen, I love recording at each one of these places.
A
Yeah, I know.
B
This is what happens when you rank.
A
Yeah. You know, I will say we are very blessed at all the places we get to record our show at. I love New York's Fishbowl. I just love the interaction with our New York Bella army and the people we get to bring in there, and it's just such a cool spot to film at.
B
I agree.
A
The same with the LA Garage. I just love LA Garage.
B
We've had actually some cool moments that.
A
I mean, insane moments. PPG will always be like, my fave.
B
Yeah.
A
You know what I mean?
B
Yes.

And then I loved Nashville, but I really loved all the people we got to record, and I just love Nashville vibes. So I can't wait till we could actually have live guests in there while we record. I think that will just take it to, like, a whole new level. And then, remember, we didn't have time to get their music cleared so they could play. I think when we could do it next time and they actually allow them to play their own music, it'll change the vibes for you and then have drinks. We were just. Everything was Happened so quick, but Nashville
B
is a bomb place. And their lobby was, like, so cool.
A
So cool.
B
Yeah. So, I mean, they're vibes. They're all vibes.
A
Vibes. They're all vibes. All right, girl.
B
Yeah. Well, all right, everyone.
A
Are you taking us with some inspiration affirmation, or do you want me to?
B
I will.
A
Okay.
B
So. Because we were talking about just the chaos of our schedules and just how busy we are, and, you know, this episode's been fun because. Thank you to nutrigrain. We gotta kind of show you the chaos that goes into putting this podcast together, not to mention everything else in our lives. But we thought this quote really hit. The things that feel overwhelming now will just be stories to tell later. And I have to agree with that, because I feel like, you know, especially now that I'm back wrestling, you know, all the stories I hear from people or the stories I tell, it's always, like, from the Chaos in your life. Like the craziness of a road trip or something chaotic that happened right before you walked out to a match or before you filmed a pre tape. Those are the stories that make everyone laugh or make everyone be like, damn, how'd you do it? You know what I mean? So just remember that all the things that are feeling super overwhelming right now, I guarantee you, at least I hope so, in a couple years you might have a nice glass of bonita bonita and giggle over it with your friends.
A
I always feel like those are the moments that really let you sit and be like, gosh, that was worth it. Like, it makes, whether it's the achievement or wherever you go, it makes it actually more satisfying. Like you feel more achieved, you feel more satisfied, you feel more accomplished because you're like, damn, that was tough. Damn, that was like this or that. And then it, it just makes it a greater moment. Once you get there for sure, that's when it's super easy. You just don't appreciate it. Like when it's. It's kind of overwhelming and hard.
B
And if it was easy, everyone would be doing it, you know?
A
