That was such an incredible surprise, by the way, because I didn't know. And then we're sitting in the theater watching. I was like, what? Literally like Renee and I were like, oh my gosh. And you killed it.

Thank you. That was such a, like, incredible opportunity, especially during the time because it was when I was gone and I was in TNA at the time. So just going through like, that very weird and difficult transition in my career and not sure of what my future in wrestling was going to be. That opportunity came, and it just completely reignited, like, everything in me. Especially when I got to dive into Ethel Johnson, her history as one of the pioneers of black women in wrestling. What they went through the doors, they broke down. The just. The Wingo sisters are absolutely incredible. So seeing their story, I was like, man, I gotta keep going. Like, if they can get through all of that, I could certainly handle what I got going on right now. And it just. It lit a whole new fire in me. So I was very thankful for that.

I really can't. I'm still, like, soaking it all in. Especially to be this deep in my career and still being able to make waves, stay relevant, stay in the conversation, make history. I mean, for this to be the first ever, not non title, non stipulation. Match ever in the history of Women and at WrestleMania is what happened. And it's only been. It's been 19 years since the last match we had. But it was like a. It was a stipulation match with Tori and Torian. Gosh, I forget Maria was. But it was just. It was just like a pillow fight match.

Yeah, right.

So to still see like that as women in wrestling, we're still like changing things.

You know, new things and better things for women in wrestling are happening and just for this all to take off so last minute.

Yeah.

You know, I'm like, holy crap.

But it's been doing it.

And you're like, but it's been a really good story. Like with you and Bianca and with Jade. It's. It's nice because you guys have a lot of depth to the story and then I think it's so cool to see you and Jade really take it from there. And so I'm so excited to watch your guys match. I mean, what if is it has it felt like training and everything has to be. Is been different going into your WrestleMania match tomorrow.

As far as like. Yes. Because I've been the glow for so long and so now I'm having to change and go do a complete 180, you know, with look, gear, moveset style, like and that's been kind of like nerve wracking for me because I'm just so. I was so comfortable in that character and it was me. But now everything has a change. I wanted to change. It should change.

From. From every aspect of this new layer or new era of Naomi. So I really been like working on that and focusing on that and sometimes I get a little overwhelmed because I bet I do want it to be great. I want it to be good. I want to show depth with this character. And as much as I can't stand her, I also want to give to. To Jade what. What she deserves.

Like, it's such an intense storyline that in this story, not only are you making Jade a superhero, your character is taking off in a different light too, which has been so incredible. And this is like the magic of wrestling and what we do when both characters come alive and they just grow into These amazing characters, they get on the A line, right? And then I've always thought, and John would always say this. This, like, when you have those stories that don't even need a championship because there's so much there and people are so invested, you don't even need that. That's for people who need to talk about something. They. That's what they need, but you don't need that. And so it's been amazing to see. And just even. Even having Naya on before, like, you girls have just become such leaders in this new era of women's wrestling. It's like, it's so beautiful to see because you can tell that you're leading these women to such an amazing direction. And it's awesome. It's like. Like, is. We still get a feeling of what people love about wrestling, like, that character work, but then. Well, I mean, you always. With athletic ability. Like, I was like, with me, when I do my comeback, I already have a list of people. Like, I know I can't work. I'm like, nope, no. So I was like, can't hang with that. Like, I ain't doing that. Like, no effing way.

Oh, no. These. These new wave of women are. Yeah. The next level.

Well, how does it feel trend to be a locker room leader?

I kind of. I kind of never really looked at it that way or thought of it that way because I just always been here and just always doing me and doing my thing. But I do see now that especially with my Bellas not being there, you girls were always. I always looked you guys as leaders. And, you know, a lot of our. Our vets that are gone now, I do see now the younger girls are coming in and asking questions and wanting help with things. So I do find myself, like, it do feel a little weird sometimes.

Me giving input and advice because I never saw myself Is that. But definitely am now.

Like, we got together pretty much in developmental when I got there, a couple months. Months down the road. But, yeah, you know, ups, ups and downs.

And that was the first time ever that he and I hadn't been together. Like, we've always been on the road year round from the time we got together. So having that. That space away from each other was very. Was very different.

I realized I thought I liked it at first, and I thought it was a good break and I needed it because I'm so clingy to John. I rely on him for everything. And so that was, like, a good growth for me to, you know, be more confident in myself as far as, like, entertaining and work and, like, trust myself in the ring, not ask him a million questions about my matches. What do you think? So, yeah. And just traveling and seeing the world and doing all that stuff by myself was, like, growth for me.

And. And him, too, not having me there to keep that knucklehead out of trouble and say, don't do this, don't do that. Come here, John.

A lot. And then, you know, after almost a year, I was like, okay, yeah, mama, it's time for mom to come on home. Yeah.

Oh, my gosh. I did at the complex with it all, you're like, oh, shoot, we sc. It's all here.

I only have one ovary, so that, like, even if I wanted to continue wrestling longer, like, yeah. My biological clock, I can't. I have to.

So you would probably have to do, like, IVF and you'd have to go.

Through a whole surrogate or something.

We got a lot to figure out. So I definitely. I won't, you know, I. I have to step away and, you know, take care of my health, take care of myself, and if we're gonna have kids, I have to start that process, like, very soon.

So with that on my mind, too, and on my plate, I think that makes, you know, my time left here even more special and valuable to me. And that's why I'm, like, just so passionate about what I'm doing, because I really think this might be. Might be it.

And then all of a sudden it's, you know, you could see, like. But then some people make retirement amazing and travel the world or, you know, do stuff off the bucket list. See, the thing is, we've already done it. We've traveled the world. We've done the coolest stuff ever. We get great experiences. So I get where you're torn. I feel. I feel you. Yeah, I'm happy. Even though my stuff was quick. I mean, I was pregnant like 11 months, but I'm very quick. Passion baby. But I'm happy that it all like that. It's that and I'm one and done, you know, it's. I'm good. I have that. So I'm happy I have that now. And.

My favorite quote is don't follow your dreams, chase them.

I do feel like that's kind of happened through my career.

[Nikki Bella]

Yes.

[Trinity Fatu (Naomi)]

And I'm still chasing and things are still happening.

[Brie Bella]

So they really are for you. Yes.

[Nikki Bella]

You know, and with our listeners who are listening because they've been on this road with Brie and I for a long time, so they know the stuff like, we'll always talk about weekly. But you are the perfect example that when we talk about doors close, you know, sometimes people can fall into a path, like poor me or negativity, negativity, depression, or different things, like, life is over. Yeah, I've hit rock, rock bottom, and that's it. But then when you go on a different path and you go look at a door that opens, there was tna and you go through that door, and then it's like when you take that path and look at everything that comes, all of a sudden now there's five other doors and all these other doors keep opening. And it's like you're such a perfect example of that. And I was telling. And I. If. When you look at it, she's the same too, you know, got fired and she went on this different journey. And now when you look at her grateful acres and where that led her to be and, like, who she is, but both of you, I'm like, see, things happen for a reason. And then when you embrace it, it's crazy. The growth we get and what we learn. And you're like, okay, God, now I get it. And then they just give, and then you're open to receive. And it's like you just become better, stronger, brighter than you've ever been.

[Brie Bella]

And there's such a beauty to clarity.

[Nikki Bella]

Yes.

[Brie Bella]

You know, and, like, I love the fact that the older we. The more clarity we get in our lives. And it's because we have to go through, you know, those hard times. And then it's like, coming out of it, you get more clarity, who you are as a person, who we are in relationships and what we want. And it's weird because if you would ask me, you know, 28, starting to film total divas, to who I'd be at 41, I probably wouldn't believe you. So it's, like, been fun, and it's been fun for all of us to do this journey together and kind of just like, stay so connected and we.

[Nikki Bella]

Never miss a beat. No, I mean, isn't it wild? We never miss the same, you know.

[Trinity Fatu (Naomi)]

But it's like younger.

[Nikki Bella]

We look younger even. You know, Cody, yesterday even goes, I don't know what it is, right? And I know you're not 40 yet, but he goes, I don't know what it is right now about women in their 40s, but they're. Women aren't looking like they're in their 40s anymore. Like, they're looking way younger. And I'm like, it's true. There's something about all of us, I think, born in the 80s. There's just something about it. I don't. I don't know if it was the music and how the parents were grooving. And then we went and into the 90s, rocking it. I don't know what it was, but it did.

[Brie Bella]

Maybe because we were late to the game on social media. So, yeah, we didn't deal with the stresses. Like, life was really free up until the end of our 20s.

[Nikki Bella]

Right.

[Brie Bella]

All sudden, so much pressure. I mean, pressure not only being, like, for all of us being in entertainment, trying to get a spot on the, you know, story. And then it's like the pressure of social Media on top of it all. It's, like, heavy. I can't imagine for the young people.

[Nikki Bella]

I agree. No, true. I think. Yeah. And we have a different perspective maybe on life. What do you think, Trent?

[Trinity Fatu (Naomi)]

I think all of that. All of the above.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah.

[Trinity Fatu (Naomi)]

And also just being in this environment, I think we've learned how to just naturally being in, like, survival mode all the time and always having to keep up and think fast and be competitive. I think that that's also just, like, created these phenomenal, like, super power women. Like, we don't break.

[Brie Bella]

Like, heck no, we don't.

[Trinity Fatu (Naomi)]

We raise up like the phoenix, baby. Yeah.

[Brie Bella]

You.

[Trinity Fatu (Naomi)]

I say that because you look at the women from that time, everybody is still going if they want to, you know, like, for sure.

[Nikki Bella]

It's so true. Hall of Fame.

[Trinity Fatu (Naomi)]

Like, huh?

[Nikki Bella]

Will you be at hall of Fame? Us too. And I'm excited because I feel like it's going to be a big divas reunion. Like, you're so right. Like, divas from, like, our era, then the era in the past.

[Brie Bella]

Like, I agree.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah. There's something. Especially Arya. There's something about it because we had a. We had to fill both eras.

[Trinity Fatu (Naomi)]

Yeah.

[Nikki Bella]

We had to fill when the company sold, when we were, like, rated R to pg. And then we've been through a lot of different locker rooms and feels.

[Trinity Fatu (Naomi)]

See all of the. The. The waves and. And the changes and the. The progress.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah.

[Trinity Fatu (Naomi)]

And you.

[Nikki Bella]

More so.

[Trinity Fatu (Naomi)]

Yeah. I feel like I came in at the, like, the perfect time because I was able to experience the diva era and then the four horsewomen era. Now I'm experiencing the. The. This new era of these power houses. So I just. I've been able to, like, collect so much information and knowledge from all of these amazing, great women and experiences which I think plays out into our real life as well. Like you. That strength and all these things we've learned from each other through life.

[Nikki Bella]

Yeah.

[Trinity Fatu (Naomi)]

And I think that's why we still clocking it.

[Brie Bella]

Oh, you know it.

[Nikki Bella]

Know it.

[Brie Bella]

I mean, always hear your voice. When I'm going through hard times, I always hear the struggles.

Real.

Struggle is real.

I always want to be like, yes, but this is why.

And push through, sis.

Just keep going.

Yes. I never thought about it, but you need to.
