And then she just go in. She just go in. We're gonna dig into acts. Listen, how many of you all have been enjoying Walk it Out Wednesday.

Praise the Lord. There are no motives here. We simply want to see you grow and develop. We want to see spiritual maturity. We invite your questions both online as well as in the audience. Last week we had the crazy idea to try to go through Acts chapter six all the way to Acts chapter number 11. OMG. And we were like flying over it. So we had a discussion and we were like, let's take a moment and slow it down a bit and go back to Acts chapter number nine. The book of Acts is powerful. It's weighty. It's meaty. Last week we talked about Acts chapter number seven and chapter number six in Acts Chapter number six, we found that there arose a contention somewhat between the preachers and the servants. They said, listen, we're trying to study and be obedient and push the ministry forward. Let's divide this up. And so therein, they created deacons. Can we give God praise for deacons? Come on. You see these nice, handsome brothers in the aisle with the cool suits as well as the red shirts? Because the deacons help, not only just protect, they serve. They count money. They're integral.

They.

They watch over their security. They do so many things to keep the house of God going. They said, listen, while you all are checking on the widows and everybody else, we'll give ourselves to the word of God. And then when we got to Acts chapter number eight, omg, we see that persecution pushed the ministry forward. They go from Jerusalem to Samaria sometimes. It's nothing like persecution that makes you get out of your own way. It's the thing that God's been telling you to do all the time, but you wouldn't step out in faith until sometimes you got pushed into it. Anybody know what I'm talking about? Pushed out of the relationship, pushed from the job, pushed to start a business, pushed to leave home, pushed to move

to another city, push to move to Dallas, Texas. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

And then we started talking about Acts chapter number nine. And there's this interesting fellow named Saul. Everybody say, Saul, do me a favor, type Saul in the comments. Saul. Because his name is about to change. So we want to take a moment to dig into Acts chapter nine. We will see how far we get. We will flow by the spirit of the Lord. Dr. Val, is there anything that I missed out regarding last week or that you wanted to add in?

Nothing missed out, but I do want to pause parenthetically to say this. When the Lord speaks to you, he confirms his word. I just want to. Just let me testify. Just a minute.

Take your time.

Before I left home tonight, when I was getting prepared to come, I heard in my spirit. Weeping may endure for a night. The joy comes in the morning. So when I realized what they were singing, it dawned on me that the Lord was confirming what he told me at home. And it's amazing to come to church and to get a word of confirmation from the Lord to know that you heard him at home and then you come into his presence at church and he'll say it again. I just had to pause to say that because somebody is looking for a word and he might have told you at home where he may tell you again tonight. So be open, be ready, and listen carefully, because an encounter with God will change everything. That's what we call in tonight, an encounter with God. It will change everything because that's what happened to Saul. He had an encounter. An encounter is an unexpected experience,

it leaves you in a way that you'll never forget it. You don't know what you're looking for, but you're expecting something. And when it comes, you'll know it, because you'll be left different when it leaves. That's what happened to Saul, and that's where we're starting tonight, with the encounter that it changed everything.

Hence, Dr. Val, this encounter that we're getting ready to talk about just doesn't start on the road to Damascus. This encounter starts in secret places. Sometimes, before you ever come to the altar, God is already speaking to you. When you're at home, when you're in the car, when you're in the shower. And then when you fully get entrenched in God's word, it's like that. Revelation hits. Let's take a look at Acts, chapter number nine. We're going to start from verse number one. We'll see how many verses we get through Acts chapter number nine. Verse number one says, and this is the NLT version, the new living translation. It's going to try to make it as plain as possible. We will pause in between. Meanwhile, Saul was uttering threats with every breath and was eager to kill the Lord's followers. So he went to the high priest. Saul is religious, but he's not saved. Saul is religious with morality, but he thinks that the movement of God must be stopped. What do you do when you feel like there's a misrepresentation of God? This lets me know that religious people don't always get it right. This lets me know that we better have relationship over religion. It was. I'm over here. Off for just a moment. It was Abraham who was about to slay his very own son.

He takes Isaac up to the mountain

[C]

because he thought he heard God say, kill, sacrifice your very own son. Only to hear a voice later says, stay thy hand. There is a ram caught in the thicket or the bush. I don't know who I'm talking to tonight. Some. Some, you're about to do something and, and you.

[D]

And you really want to be religious

[C]

and obey God, but God wants you to be led by his spirit. Oh, God. Saul was going to the high priest to stop the whole movement. He requested letters addressed to the synagogue in Damascus. Because if he gets to the high priest, he can stop it. This is the one bill, the one law, the one rule. That if he gets there, he'll stop all of Christianity. If Saul would have had his way, we would not be in church tonight.

That's right.

He was asking for their cooperation in the arrest of any followers of the way we used to be called believers, or those of the way that he found there.

He wanted to bring them both, men

[C]

and women, back to Jerusalem in chains. This means you will be locked up for believing in Jesus. Now, I respect all of you all because you pressed your way out on a Wednesday night. I know you're serious about digging into the word, but what if we said we're taking everybody to jail who shows up tonight? Would you still come?

See, See, faith gets really. Faith gets really real when you go to another country like I'm a believe. Saul was approaching Damascus on his mission.

[C]

And then all of a sudden, a light from heaven suddenly shined down. Now, the King James articulates that this was at noonday. So in the middle of it, at noon, where the sun is bright, there was a light brighter than the sun. He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?

Who are you, Lord?

[C]

Saul asked, how did he know? I just got a pause right here.

[D]

How did Saul know to say, who are you, Lord?

[C]

And the voice replied, I am Jesus, the one who you are persecuting. Verse number six. Now get up and go into the city and you will be told what you must do. Oh, God.

[D]

Let's get into verse eight and nine.

[C]

Oh, I'm.

[D]

I'm.

[C]

I feel like a rocket. The men with Saul, they stood speechless because, check this out. They heard the sound of someone's voice, but they saw no one. Sometimes people think you're crazy because you know you heard God, but they don't see what you're talking about. You know you heard God, but there's no evidence yet.

[D]

You know you heard God to tell you the business, to start the business,

[C]

but there's no money yet.

[D]

You know God told you to move,

[C]

but there's no traction yet.

[D]

You don't see an apartment, you don't see real estate. You know God told you to apply for the job, and you don't have the qualifications.

[C]

But see, something in your spirit said that joy is coming in the morning.

[D]

Saul.

[C]

Oh, God, I gotta read this before I start running.

[D]

Saul picked himself up off the ground,

[C]

but he opened his eyes and he was blind. So his companions led him by the hand to Damascus. He remained there blind for three days and did not eat or drink.

[D]

God put Saul on an automatic fast. Can you imagine?

[C]

It's noonday.

[D]

The sun is, like, over here.

[C]

Then there's a light brighter than the sun. You're like, where's this light coming from? But Saul knew who was talking to him. Who are you, Lord? But the people around him had no clue.

[D]

I'm looking at people who God saved

[C]

and snatched from the bar, the club, the streets.

[D]

And everybody else was comfortable in the circle. But. But it was something about the anointing on your life. You got snatched out of trouble. You got snatched into your call. You got pushed into destiny. And all of a sudden, now you speak it in tongues. Now you got the nerve to come to the altar.

[C]

Everybody else, they didn't know what you were talking about. Now, there was a believer in Damascus named Ananias.

[D]

And the Lord spoke to Ananias in a vision, calling Ananias.

[C]

Ananias says, yes, Lord. Ananias is saved. Watch this.

[D]

Now, there was a. Now, the Lord said to Ananias, I

[C]

need you to go over to Straight street, to the house of Judas. Straight Street. The old preachers used to.

[D]

Oh, God, the old preachers used to wear that out.

[C]

Because Saul is getting his revelation on Straight street until you get on this straight, narrow path. When you get there, ask for a

[D]

man from Tarsus named Saul.

[C]

He is praying to me right now. Uhoh.

[D]

I have shown him a vision of a man named Ananias coming in and laying hands on him so he can see again. While Paul is blind, God is speaking to. Excuse me. While Saul is blind, God is speaking to Saul.

[C]

And then God is also speaking to Ananias. This tells me that somebody has your blessing and God has already spoke to

[D]

them to open the door.

[B]

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[D]

This is why you can't be afraid to step out on faith. And this is why you got to go forth and do what God called you to do. This is why you've got to obey God when it does not look like it. Because on the other side of what God told you is somebody else that God is already speaking to. The hard work is over. I don't know who I'm talking to. You've been trying to speak to people. You've been trying to convince people. But the Lord has already spoke to them.

But Ananias, he got a little trouble. Give me about six more verses, and we're going to unpack it.

But Ananias says, but, Lord, I've heard about this man named Saul. People talked about the terrible things that this man has done to believers in Jerusalem. Like God, I want to help him. I want to lay hands on him and deliver him. But he might try and take me to jail.

And he is authorized by the leading

[D]

priest, the high priest, to arrest everyone

[C]

who calls on your name.

[D]

But the Lord said to Ananias, go for Saul is my chosen instrument, my chosen vessel, to take my message to the Gentiles and to the kings as

well as the people of Israel. Oh, God, that'll preach all by itself.

[D]

Somebody say, why?

[C]

Because you're chosen. And I will show him how much he must suffer for. For my name's sake. Last two verses. Last three verses. So Ananias went and found Saul.

[D]

He laid his hands on him and

[C]

said, brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road and took your sight when you were dropped, when you were riding down this road to Damascus, who appeared to you on the road, has sent me so that

[D]

you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Ghost. You don't just want people to be delivered. You want them to be filled with the Holy Ghost. You don't want people to just stop drinking, stop smoking, stop cussing. You want people to be filled with the Holy Ghost. Sometimes the problem that we make, we get delivered, but we don't get filled.

Oh, my.

What good is drinking from the saucer or the. Or the glass? But then the glass is empty. It must be filled with something. Instantly, something like scales fell from Paul's eyes, from Saul's eyes, and he regained his sight. Then he got up like Jesus on the third day and was baptized. Afterward, he ate some food, regained his strength, and Saul stayed with the believers in Damascus for several days. Ladies and gentlemen, this is tough to really unpack. We're going to dialogue about this text. But what hits me, Dr. Valley, is when I first got saved.

Listen.

What hits me is when I was 17 years old, my girlfriend at the time was six months pregnant. Oh, yeah. Brother didn't just jump up to the pulpit, but brother had to go through some things. I was a teenager who was lost. I said, lord, I don't know what I'm gonna do. How can I do this? I don't remember what the pastor was preaching. Roses, Sharon Baptist Church, Odessa Text. I'll never forget it. And I came to the altar to lay my life down. Sometimes God will knock you off of the thing that you're riding because you think you're riding high in your own strength. And he will snatch you out of everything that you thought was taking you to the top. I was a big time athlete. I was like, oh, scholarship, going to the Olympics and we're going to go to the NFL. I had scholarships and football, basketball, track. And then all of a sudden, my girlfriend said, I think I'm pregnant. What do you do when you don't want to miscarry? What God gave you? I was worrying about the pregnancy. But God says, I don't want you to miscarry. The destiny that's on your life. I can snatch you out of any and everything. But first you gotta lay your life down to me.

I know what it's like to be Saul on that ground, blind, not knowing

[C]

what I'm gonna do. I know you want to leave me out here by myself.

[D]

I know you want to act like

[C]

you've never had a testimony.

[D]

But I'm telling you, God took me from way back.

[C]

And how in the world I get to be a pastor here at the Potter's house?

[B]

Same way Paul got to be Paul.

[D]

Is that making sense, What I'm saying, Dr. Bauer?

[B]

Absolutely. Paul was a mess. You don't have to be good and you don't have to be perfect. God loves the ones that are a crazy mess. And he says to them, just like he said about Saul, he's my servant. He's chosen to do this. He might be acting. Well, look at David. Oh, my goodness. David was a hot mess. But he was called and loved and after God's own heart. So it doesn't matter what you've done. It don't matter what you're doing right now. If God's hand is on your life and you coming out.

You were chosen before the foundation of the world.

And he knows you by your name and he knows every hair that's on your head.

And it doesn't matter what the devil.

[B]

See, the problem is the devil doesn't want you to become all that God has assigned you to be.

So he'll make you a hot mess during your life.

And you will find ease and peace in world things, in things that satisfy the flesh and in things that satisfy the mind.

It's only because the devil knows you're chosen.

[B]

I said the devil knows you're chosen.

[D]

The Devil, he knows you're chosen.

[B]

So he'll come after you and think because you have done the worst of the worst of the worst of the worst, that God is not going to bring you out. But the devil is a lie.

Any Sauls in the building? Any saws in the building.

Solettes in the building. Any solettes.

I know what it's like to be blind, Lord. What am I gonna do? Blind to my own way?

[D]

I don't.

I don't know if I'm the only person that has ever felt like this. Sometimes God will take out your whole plan.

You're blind to your vision.

[C]

Sometimes God takes your sight away from what you wrote. Sometimes we write things that are not even a part of the script of destiny. And because God said, scratch that out. Give me a pencil.

Right here.

Edit this in. Now you gonna preach my gospel. And all of a sudden, Saul becomes Paul. In one moment, from a blind moment. It's amazing that his eyesight was taken, but his spirit was built up.

It's amazing that his eyesight but his hearing went up.

[C]

Because God was already speaking to Saul that Ananias was getting ready to lay hands on him. Aren't you glad that everything doesn't go down at the same time? He couldn't see, but he could hear. He couldn't.

Oh, God. Oh, who am I talking? His eyes were blind, but his spirit was open.

Work this for me, Pastor. The Bible says he got up and then he found out he was blind. How did he get up and didn't know he was blind until he got up? Help me with that.

See, here's what I think, Dr. Val. I think he stumbles and God gives him the strength to get up with his hands and his legs. And he's getting ready to go into a pattern or a rhythm of using the same things that he used to use. I use my hands, I use my arms, I use my legs. I can get up, but now I can't see like I used to see. I used to see believers.

I used to see Christians as opponents and enemies. Now this time, when I get my sight, I've got to see something different. The scales had. Oh, God.

Lord have mercy.

The scales had to be put on his eyes so that what he thought

about the movement was no more. Have you ever looked at the same situation differently? Sometimes I'm complaining, and the Lord says, look again. Look at it again. You think it's half empty, but I'm trying to tell you it's half filled. Look again, look again.

You think they're in trouble, but I'm

Who am I talking to? You think it's empty, but God's about to show you exits. You think it's frustration, but he's about to bring fruit. You think it's hell, but God's about to bring out the hallelujah. In your situation, I wish I had somebody who would praise God, who know what it's like to go from a trial to trust, to triumph.

Read yourself. Look again. Look again. It's interesting how Luke, being the writer of this text, being an MD and a historian, the way he looks at miracles, the way he looks at the healings. He writes the book of acts as if it is case studies or a case study. And that's because of the way he was trained. He was trained as an md, he was trained as a historian. So the way he writes the book. Let me. I don't want to leave this part out.

He was. He was paired with Saul, With Paul. Saul. He was paired with him because in the days of higher education, they had. In order to learn, they had to pair themselves with someone they could walk next to. So he walked next to Paul, and Paul kept him close. So everywhere Paul was, he was. And so while he looked at a situation in one way, from a medical perspective, he could take that same information and make it a part of history. So the way he looked at blindness, the way he looked at sickness, the way he looked at healing and deliverance was the way he looked at society. It was the way the society looked. So if you were sick, it was broken. The society was broken. The society was going through something. But then when it was a healing that came forth or a miracle that happened, and it is also saying that this broken society can be made whole again.

Oh, that's powerful. Oh, that's powerful. When you were breaking down the educational portion of it, you must understand that Saul was no dummy. No, he was more like a Pharisee, Hebrew, brilliant. Beyond measure. But his problem is that he was works based. He thought, let me learn enough about God and I'll know who God is. And that's what the devil hates about you. Because you have this uncanny ability to walk in faith. And it does not make sense to some of you. You're getting income, but it doesn't even work out on paper.

Some of you, you've got a business,

but it doesn't even make sense because the customers and the clients aren't really coming in. But somehow you keep walking by faith and God is turning that thing around. Walking by faith is precarious. Walking by faith can get you rejected.

Walking by faith doesn't seem like it makes sense.

And the devil is mad.

People around you don't.

[C]

Some of them are jealous. Some of them don't understand it.

But because you keep walking by faith and.

And they're walking by works.

What do you do when people have

worked harder than you, but you've gotten more than them because you're walking by faith?

That is so good.

Saul has to learn this lesson. It's a not. It's not about Old Testament.

It's not about working hard. It's about moving in the power of the Holy Ghost.

Not by might nor by power, but

by my spirit, sayeth the Lord.

Maybe there's something that you're working on

and you've done everything you can, and now you need to ask God to breathe on it. Who am I talking to? Breathe on this vision. Breathe on this plan.

Breathe on this business. Breathe on this marriage. Lord, I've been praying. Breathe on this child. Lord, I've done everything I can do. Breathe on this relationship. Breathe on this job. Lord, if they say one more thing, I'm about to lose my mind.

Breathe on it. Sometimes you have to invite God in your circumstance. Don't make him break in like the light at noonday.

And I want to say this because even though the Jews accepted Jesus, it took them almost 10 years to stop their. Or stop practicing their Old Testament traditions. So sometimes, although we get saved now, it's going to take a moment to break those traditions.

Oh, my God.

To break those old behaviors and those old ways. It took them almost 10 years after Jesus had rose from the dead to break what they were doing. But they were still saved.

So the question becomes, this is an encounter that changed everything. You've had the encounter, but are you willing to change your ways? I know it's getting real quiet. Are you willing to stop gossiping just for a little bit? Are you willing to stop lying. Are you willing to put pride aside? Because the moment you get saved, praise God, I'm saved.

My spirit, my soul, I'm saved.

But then it takes your mind a little bit to be renewed. Who am I talking to? It takes a little bit. But the thing that Saul did, I think, which is what catapults his ministry. The Bible says he got baptized quickly. He takes the next step. Somebody needs to take the next step. God's gonna send the encounter, but it's your job to take the next step. The next step might be joining a community group. The next step might be serving in church. The next step might be getting baptized. The next step might be coming out to a Wednesday night, if you normally watch it online. The next step might be submitting yourself to a mentor. The next next step is about your commitment and your sacrifice to God. Everybody wants to grow and develop.

Everybody wants to be a millionaire.

Everybody wants to be successful. But who is willing to put in the hard work in the spirit?

Yeah, I. I like the fact that we go from 9 to 10. As we transition from 9 from chapter 9 to chapter 10, what we see is the two pillars of the church, because now we get back to Peter, as they used to say, meanwhile, back at the ranch, so we get back to Peter in 10. We've talked about Paul's conversion, but now we see. And we also know that Paul or Saul was called to the gentile believer, but it was Peter that opened that door. It was Peter that made that way. So in Acts, chapter 10, where we see the scripture transitioning back to Paul, by the way, as we talk about transition, we're living in an age of transition.

Oh, my. Talk about it.

And the Book of Acts is the book of transition because it stands and hinges between the Gospels and the epistles, and it sits right in the middle. And there is nothing in scripture that if we look again, we won't see. We're standing on transition right now. The church. The church always is the middle of a transition. When you see the church making changes, you know the world is about to make a change. You can always look at the church and tell what's going to go on in the world next. Because we are the thing that holds the world, life, the earth together.

That ought to be right there.

And we hold it together. So we don't have to depend on prophets, and we don't have to depend on. Because we are the prophets.

The church is the prophet because the word is about what the church is, right? So we see Peter now, as we transition from Paul to Peter, we see the two pillars just back to back. Saul and then Paul and then Peter and Peter. Now is we see. Cornelius, I talked about last week about prayer and I want to open up again with that because you see Cornelius. Let's read it. Let's go. We're going to start Acts 10. We're going to start at verse, verse nine and read down. But I'm a back up to one while I'm talking. So Acts 10, verses nine. We're in the NLT, the new living. On the next day, as they were on their way and approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop about the sixth hour to pray. What time is the sixth hour? 3 o'.

But he became hungry and was desiring to eat. There's that eating and getting ready, like it was with Saul. But while they were making preparations, he fell into a trance, into a vision. He saw the sky open up and an object like a great sheet coming down, lowered by four corners to the ground. And there was in all in it all kinds of four footed animals and crawling creatures of the earth and birds of the air. And a voice came to him saying, get up, Peter. Arise, Peter, kill and eat. But Peter said, by no means, Lord, for I have never eaten, eaten anything unholy and unclean. That takes us back to Old Testament, where he's still holding on to the Old Testament law. And again the voice came to him a second time and said, what God has cleansed no longer consider unholy. This happened three times and immediately the object was taken up into the sky. If we go back to the beginning of the chapter, we see where Cornelius was praying.

Now, Cornelius was a Gentile. And the Bible says that he and his whole household believed in God. He was a Gentile and he prayed, the Bible says continuously.

That's not supposed to happen.

Listen. He prayed continuously. And the Jews respected him because he was devout in all his ways. And we see him praying at noon. He was praying at noon. And then Paul comes the next day and prays at 3. And here we are. Because as Paul, right before Paul's vision, Cornelius has a vision. And Cornelius vision is to go get. I keep saying, Paul, sorry, Peter. So the Lord speaks to Cornelius and tells Cornelius to send three people to go get Peter. Now, Peter hasn't had his vision yet. He's still waiting. It'll be the next day before his vision and he's praying.

You mean Jewish Peter hadn't heard from God like Cornelius.

[B]

Jewish Peter hadn't heard from God. Like Gentile Cornelius, Jewish Peter, who knows God, and Gentile Cornelius, who wants to know God, gets to hear from God first. So it doesn't matter whether you know God or not, as long as you go to God. If you go to him, he'll come to you.

It doesn't matter who you are in God.

You could not be living holy at all. But if you acknowledge God in all your ways, he's gonna come to you. He will come to you because you acknowledge him. So Gentile Cornelius was in prayer, and there was a vision that came. And the vision was to go get this man. You know, this is the encounter. We see this all through acts. Somebody went and got Saul, somebody went and got Peter. Barnabas went to go get Saul. Always find somebody to mentor because it was the mentor, Barnabas, that went to get Saul. And when Barnabas. I'm sorry, I'm skipping around. When Barnabas went to get Saul, he took Saul back to Antioch. And there Saul started his real ministry because he stayed there in Antioch with Barnabas a year, preaching and teaching. And now we see Cornelius being sent or sending someone to go get Peter so that Peter can come back and preach to this small crowd, his family and friends, and bring Jesus to him right there and start this Gentile church. So always find somebody, because somebody is looking for you. If you know Jesus, look for those that are looking for Jesus and bring them in. That's how the church is built. That's how the church is built. The sheep beget sheep. You bring them in, you take them close to you, and you teach them how to do the work of the Lord. It is our responsibility to go get them and bring them in. It is our responsibility to go get them and teach them how to work in the kingdom. It's our responsibility to help them be made whole in the kingdom. And so Cornelius has this vision, and God tells him to send three people to go get Peter. And I want to stop right there because you can't tell me that God can't speak to anybody. God can speak to anybody he want to speak to. That's how Saul called him Lord. And he wasn't even serving him. He was religious, but he wasn't relational.

I'm trying not to jump in. I gotta. We got the same revelation about encounter. Do me a favor. Our TV crew, do me a favor and put that graphic up with the encounter with Saul, because these two encounters are getting ready to cross pollinate.

The encounter that Saul has with the bright light is similar to the encounter that Peter has, except for Peter, is getting a different kind of encounter because it's coming from Cornelius, who somehow is a Gentile and was not supposed to really know God. This text comes to speak to some

of those who feel like, I'm not

a preacher, I'm not a minister, I'm not a pastor, I'm not an evangelist. But you hear from God where you at. You know you hear from God. You know God talks to you. He speaks to you. You know you've got gifts and talents that have not been used. What I see here is the cross pollination of the two, because Cornelius was a Gentile, which the Gentiles were not

supposed to be holy. They were not supposed to know God. We want this to make sense.

Before you ever heard a pastor or a preacher break something down, you knew something in your spirit where you had holler at your boy.

Oftentimes we hear like light and darkness and can exist in the same moment. But as you're speaking and help me understand, it appears that light and darkness is existing in the same time because there was a dark area in space that Saul was in. But also God was bringing light to him in the same moment. And even when we walk through the journey of life like God knows us from the beginning to the end, all that is, he sees everything we don't. So quite often we be in dark seasons, but God see us in his image, which is light. So I don't want to misinterpret scripture. Does that make sense? Like, can you explain that to me?

What I'm hearing, this is the uncanny ability to exist in darkness and light. Here's your problem. You're in the world, but you're not of the world. You say, I got saved.

Then you run into trouble. Who said that the darkness was gone

God says, let there be light. Many scholars say it was like, light, light, light. But he doesn't create the sun until day number four, really? Because he's the light. And the sun is just an accent of God's glory. So your problem sometimes our problem is that we're full of light and God is sending us into dark spaces. Who am I talking to?

This all lines up because we're talking about evangelism, which means I've got the

light of God on the inside of me.

But now I got to go to

people who have darkness on the inside of them and invite them to the light.

There will be no perfect. There will be no water, perfect waterfalls here.

Light and darkness exist at the same time. One overpowers the other, which is light, because light shines. In fact, light shines out of darkness. So they both exist at the same time. It's just that when the light is skewed because of the darkness, that the light will be brought forth from through the word of God. It is shadowed by evil. Evil being sin, being ignorant, being unlearned. The darkness rather being that thing that covers the light. But the Lord doesn't leave you in the dark. Although Saul had scales on his eyes, he could still see. He could see. Cause he knew he was blind. He understood because he had seen before. That's how he knew he was blind. Because he had seen before. So although he was in the dark, he knew light existed. So light and darkness exist at the same time. But light comes out because darkness cannot comprehend light.

The Bible says, shake the dust off of your feet and go to the next house. Go to the next person. Just go on. The thing is, you've done your job. You have given them Jesus. You can't make them take Jesus. You just give them Jesus. It is not your responsibility to save them. It is your responsibility to take them to Jesus. And how do you do that? You do that by giving them or him or her the Word, and then it's their responsibility. The Bible says that he's not going to come until everybody has heard the Word. It doesn't say everybody's gonna be saved. He just. It just says that everybody's going to hear the Word. Right. And so being rejected is just like a salesperson. I'm a salesperson. I do little sales. And you've got to learn not to be moved by rejection. You've got to know that rejection is not.

Somebody gonna say, yes. So you don't stop because one person rejected you. You go to the next and wipe the dust. Don't be offended. Don't be intimidated, because God's will will be done in their lives because now they've heard the word, you did your job.

plants, one waters, and God gives the increase. Sometimes our problem is we're trying to control the increase. We have a question in the room.

These two people in the Bible always intrigue me, especially this moment. My question is kind of, sort of not complicated. Jesus had the parable of the great banquet, and he said, go into the highways and the byways. Now, one of my favorite shows is the Chosen. And we. In the episode, the biggest issue that they had was the Jews had a problem with Gentiles being accepted or grafted into the family. My question is, when it comes to Saul becoming Paul and Peter with this vision, Saul, I don't. He was very educated. He was very steward. Stewardess. And also he was a Roman, so. And he knew different languages. So my. Well, my question kind of, sort of is, can you explain the difference of why Paul was sent among all the nations and why Peter had so much reluctance as to help the Gentiles? Like, even with this vision, he had to see it three times, and then he still didn't want nothing until he met Cornelius. But he was pushed against it. But Paul, he just went all the way forward and he preached in all Asia. And so my question is, can you explain kind of sort of why Paul was more used for the Gentiles than Peter, but Peter was used for the Jews in a certain way?

Yes, I, I, I'll take a stab at it. It's simply put, the Book of Acts is gigantic. Right. It's just how my mind works. It's 24,450 words. It's broken down over 28 chapters. You will read as you build up from acts chapter number nine to Acts 28. Saul becomes Paul after the bright light shown he has an encounter. He did everything he could to win his own people. He went to the Jews, but the Jews, they slam the door in his face. Rejection is direction. Whoever I'm talking to, wherever Donna, you being rejected, that means that God has given you direction.

You're rejected on making disciples.

That's direction over here.

You're rejected on ministering to them. Then that God, that if this door closes, that means another door is open.

The problem is we keep standing at

the same door knocking, knowing that God is shifting us to another door. You are wasting time on people who would never ever change. Or somebody else is actually called to win. The moment you start getting into it, cussing and fussing, arguing with somebody else, that's your clue to say, let me go to somebody else. Because this is like one man saying, I don't want you. I don't want you. And this other man said, come on over here, baby. You're beautiful. You're smart, you're bright.

This is like some woman said, no, I don't like you. You're too short, you don't have enough money. I and another woman said, oh, you just the best. You the man for the job. You, you definitely my husband.

Rejection is direction.

So Paul now goes to the Gentiles because he was rejected by the Jews and then God used him greatly. Some of you would be used greatly if you opened your mind to a new possibility. If you just thought about it from a different angle, you can see the same thing, a different way. When God moves you by him, his spirit. I hope that helps.

And I, and I want to add to what Pastor just said too. I think the difference was that Paul was not just a Roman citizen, but he was also a Jew.

So he had vision on both sides, whereas Peter was a Jew and he stuck by just old, Old Testament tradition, Old Testament laws. But, but Peter, but Paul was a Roman and a Jew, so he could go in and out on either side. He had more access than Peter at the time, so he could flow between the Jew and the Gentile. That's why one of the reasons Jesus called him, because he could flow between both. He was highly educated in Roman law. He was schooled. And that's the other reason Luke was next to him. Luke was his partner because of. Because of Paul's education. Yes, because of Paul's education. Luke was paired with him because Paul became Luke's mentor. All right, so that's the difference, I believe. I think that answers your question. That's the difference in Peter and Paul.

Cause everybody knew what Paul was doing. So now he has changed his story. And his story is winning souls. So if you think you gotta be ordained or if your church has told you you need to be ordained first, that's not the way you start. You start with the fact that you know him. Because your knowing God will change anybody's life.

It was basically an old bank. They just took the drive throughout. Despise not the day of small beginnings. Some of you are sowing seeds and God's about to bless you with 30, 60 and 100 fold. Come on. Who. Who'll believe it?
