Let's go.
Pastor Don Johnson
So tonight, so tonight, let me give you a preemptive strike a what's getting ready to happen tonight? Tonight is going to be totally interactive. I have brought, Let me put it this way, I got my panel of walking Out Wednesday. Back with me tonight. I got my brother, Dr. Oscar Williams. I got my brother Vinshad Dobbers and I got my sister, my sniper sister with me. Put your hands together for Pastor Cora. That's in the building. In the building. In the building. So let me, let me let you know here online and in here what's getting ready to happen. So tonight we get ready to take a walk through the glory of God. But you heard me, it's going to be completely educational and interactive. So we're going to give you the opportunity also to ask us questions interactively online as well as in the building. So we're going to go to through four different topics, four different subjects that Dr. Hannah absolutely dumped on us on Sunday. So we want you to get your questions together as we're going through. There's going to be microphones that eventually is going to come out. If you're online, you can put your questions in the chat. We're going to come to your questions. We're going to be live right here in person, inactive, I mean interactive. Somebody shout the glory. I can't hear you. Somebody shout the glory. Glory. You can take your seats. The glory. The glory. The glory. The glory. I don't know how we going to finish tonight. I just know how we going to start tonight. It's, it's amazing that this modern day church that oftentimes we don't talk about the glory.
Hayden
Give it up for Pastor.
Pastor Don Johnson
Don't do it.
Hayden
Can we give it up for Pastor Don Johnson? Come on. The humble servant of the night. You may proceed. You may continue.
Pastor Don Johnson
No, no. It's amazing how, and again I kind of want to start with this, is that this contemporary church oftentimes we talk about the expression of God, but it was our seasoned saints that deal with the glory of God.
Pastor Cora
Come on here season and because I
Pastor Don Johnson
don't want to put an age limit on seasoned, but they were more apt to stay in the presence of God where oftentimes people are taught about participating with God. But I think there's some things that I want us to jump in tonight on how we deal with the glory and how we can each one of us take a pillar and give some instruction on how we deal with that glory. And I know Dr. William has a absolutely daunting task of opening up tonight on what you got to share with us on today, sir.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Well, you know, I love how you just setting the stage and if we could just take a moment to even as you talked about dive into glory before, maybe the, the Other F points. Because what you were saying from the stage and what I think a lot of times, especially in church, we use words that we think people really understand, and we use phrases and we say anointing and glory and Shabbat and kabod. And if you're in church and you don't want to feel like the ignorant one, you just start clapping and saying, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I got the glory. But what I love about tonight is that we're inviting questions to really dig deep into the understanding that there is the Shekinah, there is the kabod, that glory. When we talk about a cloud, when we talk about the weighty, the presence of God, how God demonstrated himself when he was showing himself to his people for the first time, where, because God is everything, he was found in everything.
Pastor Cora
Come on here.
Dr. Oscar Williams
And to be able to identify, well, what is glory, what is his presence? He gave them a physical manifestation of what it looked like, of what it would smell like, of what it would be like. And this is the thing that now, what we search for in service, when we talk about where is the glory, we're not talking about a physical cloud or anything. We're talking about how do we feel the weighty presence of God? What does it mean to be in a service where glory has really fallen?
Pastor Don Johnson
Yeah, that's good. That's good. And. And I think we don't want to overlook it, because this is why I need to be taught. I'm glad you said that. Because some people can experience it but not understand it. And you want to understand what you just experienced. It's like having a good meal and no one actually told you what you ate. I want to know what I ate on Sunday. I want to dive into the ingredients. I want to know the layers of the shift. And how did he do that? How did that food come into his mindset? So I absolutely agree with you that we do that.
Dr. Oscar Williams
So can we make a distinction real fast between anointing and glory?
Pastor Don Johnson
Absolutely.
Pastor Cora
Oh, yes.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Tag,
Pastor Don Johnson
you're it.
Pastor Cora
I think that when you think about anointing, it is the active power of God being worked through you. When you think about glory, it is the weight of his power being manifested outside of you. And so I think that a lot of times when we think about anointing, we tend to think about it as glory, you know, just the power. But really, anointing is about the manifestation of the power of God in you being made actionable outside of you. And then that glory is his manifested power outside of you being Present.
Pastor Don Johnson
That is so good.
Pastor Cora
I'm the little sister. Just want you to know.
Hayden
Listen, I'm just trying to glean from these amazing pastors. I see it as anointing as you said it. I see it as anointing being the glass or the cup. I see it as glory being the water. But the glory cannot be manifest until the water is poured out of the.
Ad Host
The cup.
Pastor Cora
Talk about it.
Hayden
And I think God has provided us with the cup or a glass called life. And sometimes you get frustrated because your life or your cup is filled with things that you don't like to be in that cup. And what the glory of God is saying. What I believe, what God is saying is pour out what I put in you in order for me to refill, refresh, in order for there to be an overflow. I think most times we're so frustrated with what's in the cup that we don't pour it out. And I think our childhood is a picture of the liquid in the cup. I think our relationships are a picture of the liquid in the cup. I think all the things that we go through, the divorce, the trauma, the disease, the sickness, the, the trials, the tribulations, these are things that are in our cup that we're so frustrated with. And then we say, lord, how do I give you glory? Well, you just pour it out, baby.
Pastor Cora
Pour it out, pour it out.
Hayden
Pour it out with. I'm trying not to preach. It's these. It's this anointing. So it's poured out with praise, it's poured out with worship. It's poured out with the gratitude. It's poured out. It's poured out with a mind that says, God, I'm gonna serve you through hell and high water. Everybody comes in love, looking good, smelling good. But I'm telling you, I've been preaching too long to know that somebody's sitting in your section, somebody's watching online, and you're barely making. Somebody is in this audience watching online. And you are so frustrated because of the. All the H E double hockey sticks you're going through. And you say, what in the world is glory?
Pastor Cora
You're not alone.
Hayden
How do I deal with the weight, the volume of this cup? Lord, help me to pour it out.
Pastor Don Johnson
Yeah, I think also is that's so good that we also have to distinct between the word glory, because biblically, glory takes on more than one definition.
Pastor Cora
Come on here.
Pastor Don Johnson
But the word glory we talk about now is the manifested presence of God. So when you talk about the manifested presence of God, the anointing is from God. Yes, the glory is God.
Pastor Cora
Come on.
Pastor Don Johnson
So God is not anointed. He is glory. But he anoints us to destroy the yokes of the enemy.
Pastor Cora
I want you to stay in your seat, okay? I'm not trying to push you out of your seat or nothing.
Pastor Don Johnson
I'm not gonna do that because I don't want to get confused. Because sometimes we think because we're anointed, we're the one that's producing the glory. No, it's because the glory is on you that makes us anointed. So now Jesus says, the anointing is upon me.
Pastor Cora
Yeah.
Pastor Don Johnson
God has poured out of that cup into me. And I think we need to make sure that we don't confuse his use of us as his approval of us.
Pastor Cora
How dare you?
Pastor Don Johnson
The text, The Bible says that again,
Pastor Cora
though, that we don't confuse what? Now don't say that out loud.
Pastor Don Johnson
Don't confuse God use of you as his approval of you. Because the anointing destroys the yoke. And he will use the anointing pour out on you for the prayer of somebody else that's close to you. But the glory of God is the weight of God, of his present being manifested. So we got. We can't get. Because we hear it in the church, man, I preach, man, the Lord used me. The man had to Stop, stop. Don't do that. Because you'll get it confused and you'll start thinking you're God when you're really the cup.
Hayden
So what you're saying is, is we're frustrated because we have to drink from somebody else's cup. Isn't it possible for us to go through and then actually feed or hydrate somebody else's soul?
Pastor Don Johnson
That's good. That is.
Hayden
So what. What's crazy to me is when I go through how I go through, blesses somebody else, if I go through properly.
Pastor Don Johnson
Absolutely. Absolutely.
Dr. Oscar Williams
So it, I mean, amazing, all of this. What I hear is anointing because we understand even when Jesus, who is the Christ, the anointed one, when the embodiment of the anointing breaks off, the glory fills in. And I'm glad you brought up something that perspectively, glory does take different modes.
Pastor Don Johnson
Absolutely.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Because there is the glory that God gives us, the infilling of his presence, and that's in us, where we can feel glory rising in us, we can feel God's power rising in us. And after you've endured hardship as a good soldier, and Pastor Hannah talked about it, building your story with God also builds your Glory of God and as that rises. But then there is the glory that comes from God that he kind of referenced in Joshua, where there is the glory and the glory carriers.
Pastor Don Johnson
Right?
Dr. Oscar Williams
Right though that thing right there, there is the glory. The presence of God and those who carry God's glory in that day, in that time, they were physically carrying his glory. In this day, we carried it in our temple. That is the difference.
Pastor Don Johnson
The.
Dr. Oscar Williams
The delineation is they were. They had a physical manifestation of physical representation of God in the ark. And what we see in Joshua is put the glory on your shoulder. There's a certain posture that you have to walk with the glory. There's a certain strength that you have to have to carry the glory. There's a certain discipline that you have to have to carry God's glory. There's a certain purity that you had to have to carry God's glory. And you had to be stable. Because even if you fail, even if you couldn't let the ark fall and if you and somebody with unclean hands couldn't even help or they would die because God was so serious about who was carrying his glory. And I feel like in this day and age, though we don't have the physical arc, we still have to have those same disciplines. There takes a certain weight to carry his glory, a certain discipline, a certain surrenderance, a certain submission. If you want to walk around and be filled with the glory of God, you have to do something in your life. You have to be crucified in order to carry this glory. This glory does not come easy. It's not just because you want it. It's not just because you show up in church. But this glory comes after you endured hardship as a good soldier. Then glory starts to get deposited into your life. And so I say that to bring us to this clip where he talks about what it takes to carry glory. And he gives us four Fs, many more. But minds being to be fortified. And so if we can play this clip and just talk a little bit about being fortified, there's somebody next to
Hayden
you that's been fortified, which means that they strong. Like they've been through some stuff. I mean, I'm saying this all respectfully. Praise Team was doing good. But it's something about when you gave that mic, She was saying the same thing y' all was saying, but when it came out of her mouth. And you're next to somebody who been through the storm and the rain. They've been tested and tried. The enemy thought that they would have given up A long time time ago, they should have committed suicide. But in spite of everything, they kept getting up, they kept pushing, and they stronger now. Is there anybody in the building? You stronger now than you've ever been in your life? Certain things that used to get to you don't get to you no more. Can I hear a praise from those who know that God has been your strength? That God has been your strength?
Dr. Oscar Williams
You in the man of God, you heard the man of God. Can we get a praise? If you know God has been your strength, that's not just a video. That's not just something you watch. That's something you do. Where is the praise that God has been your strength? So. So. So let's dig into fortified, because I want us to understand. What does this mean? I have some. Just some slides. So let's break it down to its lowest form, fortified. Coming from the word fort. If you put that up, put that slide up for me. Fort is from this Latin word, fortis. If you're taking notes, you can take a snapshot of this. But I want us to understand how we build to being fortified. So from the Latin, it means. It literally means to make strong or defend defensible. A fort is a military stronghold, a fortified place of defense, a position of structural strength intended to withstand assault. My God. In its earlier usage, a fort was both a physical location and a declaration of intent. This place will not easily fall. Tell your neighbor, I will not easily fall. To understand being a fort is to understand that it is almost. And if you were a child, many of us in our childhood, you built forts. Y' all remember, y' all went to the bedroom and you built those little things. And whatever, you were building a defense. Because in our childhood, we ain't want the boogeyman to get to. So we were building something to keep out the enemy. We were building something to keep us safe and protected from the enemy. It was not meant to be a habitation, but a temporary place that gave us protection. That's why in Psalms he says, the Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. My God is my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. There's a picture of a fort. We've seen it. You can throw that next one up. Thank you. Yes, a fort. This it keeps out. It is an image of a place being built for defense, refuge, and strategic protection. So what is the practical application? This is what I want you to hear. The first step toward becoming fortified is clarity about the nature of your opposition. Ask Yourself these questions, what threatens my faith, my family, my peace, my calling? These threats may be spiritual, psychological, relational, or structural. A person who does not know what they are protected from cannot fully appreciate or inhabit the force fort God has provided. So we leave fort and move to another derivative of fortified, which is fortress. Fortress is more than just a wall. It is a prepared place of protection. We hear God equated to being a fortress. A mighty fortress is our God. I'm sure you've heard that song or read those scriptures. I will say to the Lord, he is my refuge and and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. It comes from the Greek word metsuda, which means stronghold. Fastness are a secure place of defense. The difference between a fort and a fortress. Like I said, fort was a temporary place. Fortress is a habitation. Fortress is somewhere that you reside in. You don't just run in to get safe on one point. You stay in the fortress. You stay protected. A fortress is something that was built up over time. It is not a temporary stance. It is not something that just goes halfway. That's why God is our mighty fortress, because He's a secure location. He's somewhere that I can go in. And I don't just go in and out, but I stay hidden in his fortress. He comes against everything that comes against me. And when it gets to him, it has to stop. I can put away my temporary place and go into his habitation because he is my secret dwelling place in Him, I trust in Him, I hide in Him, I find my being. He is my mighty fortress. So, so, so our practical application, dwelling in the fortress, not. Not visiting. Listen to this. Many believers have a transactional relationship with God as fortress. They enter in during crisis and exit when danger subsides. I'm gonna let that sit right there. We at the altar when it's tough, but when things are going good, we stay at home. We know how to get into God's presence. We just don't do it consistently and continually. Because unless there is something going on in our life, we know how to run and grab the horns of the altar. But when you understand that this is not a place that I just run. God is not a genie that I rub when I need something from Him, that he is my dwelling place. In Him I live, move, and have my being. He is the place where I wake up in and I go to sleep, sleep at night. That's why I don't have to be scared by the terror by day or the arrow by night. Because I live in Him.
Hayden
I Sit.
Dr. Oscar Williams
I eat in him, I move in him. I praise in him. Whether there's hell or high water or calm season, I'm in God all of the time.
Pastor Cora
I'm.
Hayden
I'm.
Dr. Oscar Williams
I'm so, so, so, so.
Hayden
Dr.
Pastor Cora
Glory, ladies and gentlemen.
Pastor Don Johnson
Dr.
Pastor Cora
Glory.
Dr. Oscar Williams
So, so let me. Let me come. This teaching, to dwell in the fortress,
Pastor Don Johnson
the glory will do that to you.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Means to structure. Check this out, y'.
Pastor Don Johnson
All.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Means to structure your entire life within the walls of his presence. To structure your entire life within the walls of his presence. I'm almost done. His word. His community. His community. His community. His community. I tell people all the time, you, you need to find a faith community, because the enemy will trick you and make you think you're an island. And you can do it on your own. Do you understand that the potter's house is a representation of a fortress of God? That when you come into fellowship and community, you're coming into a safe place? Anybody hear the words coming out of my mouth? That God sent you to a safe place? That's why the enemy tries to keep you away from.
Pastor Don Johnson
From here.
Dr. Oscar Williams
That's why the enemy tries to keep you from logging on. That's why the enemy tries to keep you from engaging. Because if he can get you on your own, then you have to be the. The governor of your own security and your own safety. But tell somebody. God is the governor of my soul. That's why he sent me to the potter's house, because he knew I needed a physical fortress. Practically, this means. And we got an online question. And remember, this is interactive, so you don't have to wait to a specific portion of the service. If you have a question burning, you can come. We have people who will give you a mic, so just come to the aisle. So let me finish this. Practically, this means consistent rhythms. Check this out, y'.
Pastor Don Johnson
All.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Of prayer. Consistent rhythms. Y' all know I'm in music. Consistent rhythm. Don't let it be syncopated. Boom, boom, whenever you want. Let that rhythm be consistent.
Pastor Don Johnson
Duh. The.
Dr. Oscar Williams
When I wake up, pray. When I go to bed, pray in the middle, pray. Let it be consistent. See there?
Pastor Don Johnson
See there?
Dr. Oscar Williams
That's how your prayer life need to be. You see how you bobbing your head?
Pastor Don Johnson
Pray.
Dr. Oscar Williams
That's what. That's what it is. Consistent rhythms. Pray of prayer and scripture that establish habitation rather than occasional visitation. It means community. For no fortress is inhabited by one person alone.
Pastor Cora
And.
Dr. Oscar Williams
And it means identity. Understanding that you're not merely near the fortress, you are a citizen of it. You Live in God's presence. Let's take this question. I'm going to get too fortified. But we have a question. What's the question?
Pastor Don Johnson
Why they're talking about the question coming up. I think what is key is when you talked about understanding citizenship, because citizenship, meaning I have a right to be here. I have a right to be here and to understand I have a right. It's like the. When God knows everything that's happening now. But the one thing I found that even though you're in another country, when you are ambassador of the United States, the place where you are takes on the same legal proceeding as though you were in the United States. So I can be in another season of my life. But because I'm an ambassador, I'm a citizen. Come on. Of the kingdom, a kingdom of the fortress. I don't have to let the surrounding. So, man, when you were talking, when you were talking, that blew my mind. Like, wait a minute. I'm a citizen? Yes. So even though I'm going through hell, I'm a citizen. Yes. Even though I'm dealing with, I'm a citizen.
Dr. Oscar Williams
That's why he leaves the 99 that comes after the 1 he's. Because he. I'm coming after people who are supposed to be in my habitation. That's why he said, adam, where are you? Thou. Because you're out of my presence. And that's not. I know what you did. I know how you're saying, I'm not concerned about that. Once a citizen, always a citizen. Once covered by the blood, always covered by the blood. When you get in God, you don't have to go. The only person that removes yourself from the presence of God is you. When we say, oh, I can't feel God, I can't feel God. I say, where have you been? Because God's presence is everywhere. So if you can't feel his glory, it is not a deficiency of his glory. It's a defect in you.
Pastor Don Johnson
And, and I will say this. Be careful if you're looking for a feeling. Come on.
Pastor Cora
Oh my.
Pastor Don Johnson
When you're talking about his glory and his presence. Because your feelings will deceive you the more. The more you think about that. Even though God is everywhere, he's nowhere until you meet him somewhere.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Come on.
Pastor Don Johnson
So even though he's everywhere, he is nowhere until he's manifested somewhere. So if you're waiting for your feelings to manifest his glory. Listen, I cannot feel like it, but his glory is still in my room. I can feel bad, but God glory is still There. So don't ever kind of quantify God's glory for your feeling. I need to feel God. Well, you in a whole lot of trouble if you need to feel God before you think he's there.
Hayden
I agree. You painted the picture so well that I literally see a fortress. Yeah, I literally. I literally see, like, a palace, but I also see people sitting outside of the fortress wondering how they can get in.
Pastor Don Johnson
That's good.
Hayden
And here's the problem. You've been waiting on people to open up the door when all you have to do is open up your mouth. You've been waiting on people to open up the gate and the door and to invite you in. And God is saying, if you just open your mouth, I'm there. If you just open your heart, I'm there. If you open your heart and your mouth up to praise, I will come in and up with you. You don't need to knock on somebody else's fortress when you're your own fortress.
Pastor Don Johnson
That's good. Oh, that's so good.
Pastor Cora
I like it.
Dr. Oscar Williams
That's so.
Pastor Don Johnson
So.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Last one. Fortified.
Pastor Don Johnson
Did we.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Oh, is there a question? I'm sorry. Yes.
Pastor Don Johnson
Okay.
Dr. Oscar Williams
So I'm trying to rightly divide the word.
Hayden
This is for Pastor Oscar and whoever else can answer. When you say that we can't do it by ourselves, we hear the Word says, I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me. God will cause men to fail you,
Pastor Don Johnson
so we can keep our trust on him.
Hayden
And we understand that people can be fickle.
Pastor Cora
How do we know when?
Hayden
Also, the Bible says that there's safety in the multitude of counsel. But how do we know when God
Pastor Cora
has us in isolation and when to
Hayden
come out and when to get in that community?
Dr. Oscar Williams
That's good. That's good. So let's deal with that first Scripture, because a lot of times we say, and we use this, I can do all things through Christ, which is true. But we don't understand the context of what Paul is saying. Paul was talking about all the things, I can be a base and I can be a bound. I can be above and beneath. I can go through this. I can be here. So what he was saying is not, I can do it by myself. He was saying, literally, I can do all of these things. I can be in a storm and survive. I can be homeless and. And survive. I can be without a job and survive. I can do all of these things through Christ who strengthens me. So it's not about being by yourself or solo. It is about the Constitution and knowing that I can carry whatever he gives me to carry because he is the strength. When I am weak, he is my strength. Now here's the thing. There is to the, to the epitome of your question, the very essence of your question. Because there is a difference when the enemy is trying to pull you into isolation and when God is pulling you into respite or a Sabbath or a season of rest. So understanding that God causes anything that we see happen in scripture, even Jesus. Jesus surrounded himself with people who could hold him up, keep him strong, pray with him. Even when they failed him, Jesus went away. We see him go away to pray in the garden, but he comes back to that same community. It is not that you cannot have any alone time. It is not. But, but be very, very careful when your theology causes. For everything to do is to be in isolation. I can't go around nobody. I gotta do by myself. Everybody got wrong spirits. I don't trust them. I'm. I don't trust them at their church. I don't go to church. God just want me to stay at home in my couch because I got to protect my anointing. I got to protect this glory. What are you protecting? If the anointing is what it is, and it is. If it is the power to break off yolks, then why are you protecting something that's protecting you? So God calls for us to be in community because every joint supplies. It is God's sovereign design for us to come together and bring our gifts and our talents and our intellect and all that we are, and our brokenness and our hurting to a safe space so that we can get filled up, so that we can get renewed, so that we can go out. It is not that you have to stay around people all the time, but you have to be careful because the enemy is subtle and he's cunning. And if you feel like the enemy, every time you get the urge to go, the enemy's telling you, or something's telling you, stay home or don't go. That is something that's pulling you into isolation and pulling you against the will of God. Okay, let me just get to fortified. Then we got an online question because this is what he said, to be fortified, carrying the glory. So real fast fortified again, we know comes from the word fort, but I want to let me skip to the seven marks of being a fortified life. And this is the practical application. If you, you're going to be fortified, you have to have stability under pressure. You got to be able to withstand, withstand the pressure, withstand the Storm, you got to be able to bend and get back up. You have to have stability under pressure. When they were carrying the glory, their legs had to be strong because the ark was weighty. And if you're going to be a soldier of God, you got to have stability under pressure.
Pastor Don Johnson
You.
Dr. Oscar Williams
You have to have an established identity. You got to know who you are because this world will try to reframe you and reframe your theology and reframe your Christianity. And if you going to carry God's glory, you got to understand who he is and who he is to you. You got to be courageous. You have to have a history with God. You got to. Because that history with God will cause you not to be deceived. When somebody tries to show you something that you know is not true, you have to have a d disciplined inner life, graceful vulnerability, and shared strength because you can't do it by yourself. It was four people carrying the glory, not just one. So that's why community is important. Because if we're going to be the church and who God has called us to be, you need me and I need you. Okay. There's an online question. What's the difference between experiencing the glory and the Holy Spirit? That's good. When Pastor don't question.
Pastor Cora
I. I can't believe he did. You like that?
Pastor Don Johnson
It's okay.
Hayden
Audible. That was a nice pass. What did you say?
Pastor Don Johnson
Honestly, I think. I think it's a great question. But the one word that comes to light is experiencing. Experiencing is temporary. It already denotes that it comes and it goes. The glory of God fills this room. The Holy Spirit fills me. So there's a difference between the weight of God carrying something as opposed to now. The Holy Spirit is the tool that uses me to carry God's glory.
Hayden
Come on.
Pastor Don Johnson
So let me. Let me preface it with this. Let me say this. When we get into Joshua, not everyone can carry God's glory. So let me just put this. It's only assigned to the Levites. There is a certain house that can carry the glory. So when you start talking about carrying God glory. I can't carry God glory unless I'm in deal with the Holy Ghost. So the Holy Ghost is what gives me the strength that when his glory shows up, I can hold this thing up. And I think, so it's not. So it's not an experience. It's temporary. Oh, he came in the house. Some people experience his glory on Sunday, but when the Holy Ghost. You don't experience the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is how I breathe it's how I live. The Holy Ghost to me is like a fish need water. Yeah, I can't breathe without that.
Hayden
So, yeah, I love it. I think you extrapolated so much in the revelation and truth when you were talking about fortified. How I see this, I don't see this great difference between the glory and the Holy Spirit, although I would say that the Holy Spirit, this is the weakest form of a articulation or illustration. I see the Holy Spirit as the seed whereby the glory is the fruit. I see the Holy Spirit as the root whereby the glory is actually the fruit. If the Holy Spirit is in you, it should germinate and grow and you should produce fruit. That fruit should be the glory of God. As we transition from fortified, I think the question, the in house question, which is really good, you answered it properly. Often isolation does bring revelation, but you already gave the warning. Make sure that you are not isolated on your own will. Jesus was led into the wilderness. The spirit of God led him into the wilderness. But here's the key. You have to stay focused. When you feel like you're isolated. Most times isolation is used to crush you rather than build you. We're getting ready to go to and for our online streaming audience. You can ask any question for everybody in the atmos in the sanctuary, you can ask questions. There are no motives here. We're here to build you, to strengthen you and to clarify anything. That was not just preach. I thought that was amazing, but also some of the things that you might be going through in your life. If you can take a look at this next clip, we're going to transition to where you go from being full fortified to actually focused. Say I'm fortified. Say I'm focused. What does that mean? They had to pick up the glory and they had to walk past all the children of Israel. Can you imagine how you have to walk past people who think that you're not qualified? How you have to walk past people who got so many, so much to say about you that don't even know you. You have to stay focused on where you headed. You have to walk past people who have opinions about you. You have to stay focused and wait, wait, some of y' all have even lost your focus when it come to church because you, you've even begin to lower your praise because they said to you, I don't think that it take all of that, but they don't know what you went through to get what you got. And I came to get you back focused. You are not a quiet praiser you are not cute. As a matter of fact, the cuter you get, the wilder you get. You don't care nothing about nobody's opinion. I need to know where my people
Pastor Don Johnson
look, look, look, look, look, look, look,
Hayden
look, look, look, look, look, look. Look at me. Look at me. Look at me. I used to worry about what people thought about me. I used to worry about what they said about me. I used to dummy down like that. God has called me to be because I was worried about people having an opinion about me. So what the enemy did when I was a kid, he used a family member to verbally abuse me, to make me tap into what words and make me sensitive to words. But it came to a point that I had to get to the point that. Listen, it doesn't matter what you say. God has already decreed and declared that I'm the head and not the tail. So you get to a point that you don't care about what nobody think about you. I know what it is. It is to come to church and they looking at you like you crazy. If you only had any idea what kind of hell I've been through all week. You'll be praising God too. Look at me. Some of y' all live in hell. You came in here. If I can't shout here, what can I shout? If I can't go for broken here, tell me, what can I go for broke? Those of you that know that he deserves the glory, the honor and the praise, I want to see where my focus praises at. Where the focus praise is at. I'm. I can't hear you. Where the focus praise is at? In the sanctuary, online. What? Listen, we. We can take 10. We can take 10 seconds away from my section and what have you. We come for no other reason but to give God glory, honor and praise. Can we take a moment and focus on glory? Magnifying the king of kings and the Lord of lords, the glory of glories and the great I am. Can we give it up for the master, the savior, the ruler? Can we give it up for our secure? Can we give it up for the protector, the priest, the provider? Can we give it up for God who watched over you? Can we give it up for God who stopped the car wreck, the gunshot? Can we give it up for God who healed you, delivered you, who kept your mind? Can we give it up for the master? Can we give it up for our secret keeper? Can we give it up for God who's watching over you?
Pastor Don Johnson
Hallelujah.
Hayden
Oh, God, Lord, I, I, I, I, I'm Let me. Stay seated, preacher. Stay. Stay seated, preacher. Here's the key. This is what I was trying to get to earlier, but I didn't want to jump the gun. Sometimes you pray for other people and they get blessed. And then you look at yourself, you say, what in the world. My cup sometimes hydrates somebody else while I'm thirsty myself. And what the man of God just said, no matter what, whether it was verbal abuse, physical abuse, no matter what you've gone through, you got a right to praise God. You've got a right to focus on the glory of God in your life. Nothing and nobody can dumb it down. Who you are with your short self, your tall self, with your skinny self, with your fat self. You gotta accept who God has made you to be. Focused on the glory. The glory is the good thing that the master put on the inside. Lord, I'm about to take off running. The glory is what is. It's the secret thing that the master put in you that makes you you. Do you not know? Nobody else has your fingerprint. Nobody can be you like you with your pretty self, your smart self, your handsome self. Let me tell you something. You are bad all by yourself. But you will never give God glory until you accept that you are God's child. And most times we do not focus on the glory because we are distracted by other people's opinions. I'm happy for you. Listen, do comedy, preach, teach, pray. Because all of that glory is in you. I'm happy for you. Talk about face. I remember every good boy does. Fine the clef. Sing, preach, do orchestra. All of that is in you. I'm happy for you with your tall self, with your broad shoulders. Look good, shoes on fleek. Let me tell you something. I call them DJ glory because God put something in them that I don't have. I gotta be me. When you decide to stop trying to play somebody else's role, then you can give God glory. Let me tell you something. You might as well be yourself because everybody else is already taken. You might as well do what he has called you to do because everybody else's benchmark is on a different scale. And while I bring this to. No, I'm just joking. I. I want to. The Holy Ghost drops something on me. Two things I'm going say. Well, a couple of things I want to say and I'm done. The Holy Ghost dropped something on me that the word glory, if I remember it correctly, for me stands for God's love operating rough years.
Pastor Cora
Oh, that's nice.
Hayden
G L O R Y God's love operating Rough years if you've had a Listen, I know we're only in March, but if you have a rough year, you can put fire emojis in the chat. If you've had a rough year and you're not afraid to lift up your hand. Am I the only one who's gone through some things in the third month of this year? God's love is going to be with you regardless of what you're going through, whether you are isolated or whether you are in community. The Master meant for you to excrete glory in the midst of pain, to give glory in the midst of failing relationships, to give glory when you cannot pay your bills. Come on. I want to talk to some real people to give that there are people who have to give God glory at the morgue. I want to talk to the people who are having to give God glory while they are writing the check. I need to talk to the people who are having to give God glory. Why you send your son or your daughter off to prison? Where you at? I need to talk to the people who have a lump in the breast, who have cancer, Crohn's disease, and everything else that the enemy has tried to put on you and you're still trying to find a way to say God, can I still give you glory in the midst of this mess? Let me tell you, he can turn the mess into a message. What you thought was the worst will transform you into winning all this opposition is opportunity in hiding. It's opportunity in hiding. Psalm 19:1 says, what Bible said I got to give a few scriptures and I'm done. Psalm 19 and 1 says, the heavens declared the glory of God. Everything else is buzzing. Giving God glory but us struggling with trying to find out how to praise the Master. The hummingbee, the excuse me, the bumblebee is buzzing, the dog is barking, the cat's meowing. Everything else is in place. When are you gonna get in place and focus on the glory of God in you? We got do we have an online okay, if the online question is ready, we drop right into it. One of our online questions is how can I continue to remain at rest in God during a vulnerable season when I feel under attack, especially when the hurt or pressure seems to come from people close to me? Lord have mercy, my God. David says in the text, Psalm 22. He says, It'd be different, Pastor Cole, if it was somebody I didn't know, but it was mine. Equal, my friend, these irritations that come close hurt you a bit Deeper, because they catch you off guard. Now the question says, how do I remain at rest, at peace? I used to hear Bishop Jake say this. Amazing. He would talk about this text, and he would say that he was crying walking up the hill in the beginning of his ministry. And he said the Lord spoke to him and reminded him of the scripture. He says, I would not suffer your foot to be moved. Just because they are hating does not mean that you're going down. Just because they are assaulting you does not mean that you are not anointed. You can rest in the power and in the peace of God by staying focused in spite of distractions. One last little bitty thing, because I knew Pastor Cora was going to be here, first of all. She did. Listen, I love Destiny World. You know, I used to love. Whenever you invited me to speak. Speak to the kids. I'm. I'm a kid at heart, and I. Now, y' all too old to remember this before you 80s and 90s babies. You know what I'm talking about? What. What's this? It's a what?
Dr. Oscar Williams
It's a Slinky.
Hayden
I was. I was minding my own business today, getting something else in Walmart, and I noticed that this slinky started speaking to me. Because I can put it down, but it can come right back up. You got to remember that even when they're putting you down, you gonna come right back up. You got to remember when they talk about you, you going to come back up. You got to remember that no matter how far it seems like you're going down, God is about to bring you up. You're about to bounce back. You're about to jump back. You're about to sing back, you're about to praise back. Your money's coming back. Your business is coming back. The organization is coming back. The church is coming back. The marriage is coming back. Your child is coming back. Who am I talking to? It's about to come back. Be at rest.
Pastor Don Johnson
Can I hold your slinky for a minute? Cuz? Because if you think about it, you only stretched it that far. But if you move the table, you can stretch further than that. Okay, I'm sorry. Come on.
Hayden
Come on.
Pastor Don Johnson
Because you can stretch long. Farther than that if you just trust the hand of God on your life. I'm just saying, you the one bought the slinky up in here, and you can bounce back.
Hayden
Look, hold that in. Look how far he's stretching.
Pastor Don Johnson
He's stretching.
Hayden
You look how far.
Pastor Don Johnson
He's still a Slinky.
Hayden
Look how Far.
Pastor Don Johnson
He's stretching you, but you still look
Hayden
how far he's stretch. Look at all the stuff you didn't think you could take, but you got got to look at all stuff you thought was going to break, but you didn't bend. You been bending, you were going down. But somehow God brought you back together again. Because you're in the Master's hand. As long as you're in his hand, where are the people who know they're in God's hand? Where are.
Pastor Don Johnson
He bought a slinky. The Bible study.
Pastor Cora
Now y' all go to Dollar Tree. Make sure you go and get you one, all right?
Dr. Oscar Williams
Use it as a reminder.
Pastor Don Johnson
I just want to say some of that online question to the person that did it. Another thing you can do to stay at rest is remember what he said to you. Jesus told the disciples, let us go to the other side. If you remember what he said in the middle of the storm. You can sleep in the middle of a storm if he told you you going to make it. Him telling you you gonna make it does not mean the storm not gonna come. They are going to hate regardless. But he told you before you got on the boat, let us go to the other side. And sometimes we have a memory problem. We don't remember that we are slinky. We don't remember that even though he's stretching us. It does not take me out of form because Jesus falls asleep, catches y' all with a pillow on the boat. That's a constant reminder. Maybe I need to rest. Maybe the storm should rock you to sleep and see.
Pastor Cora
Y' all said rest. I was gonna tell the baby to rise.
Pastor Don Johnson
Come on.
Pastor Cora
You know, sometimes you resting in situations that you need to rise up and set some boundaries, get some people out of the way. You know, people hurt you when you give them access to do so. I would just, you know, you need to start communicating and not being muzzled and let me. People know, like, new boundaries are being set. I'm going to rise up. I'm not going to keep sleeping while you hurt me. I'm not going to keep resting while you sabotage me and make me feel hurt and bad. No, I'm not going to do that. I'm going to rise up and I'm going to set boundaries that keep you from being able to have access to hurt me. Sometimes people are hurting you because you've given them the access to to do so. And if you would set proper boundaries and really reinforce them, you would be able to rest.
Hayden
Lord have mercy.
Pastor Cora
But you can't rest until you start rising. Get up and set some boundaries. Set some. Some statements. Put some words in your mouth.
Pastor Don Johnson
Build a. And just in case you have the question, how do you set boundaries? These are boundaries. My boundaries start when my peace stops.
Pastor Cora
So I'm not coming to the dinner. I'm not coming to the little birthday party.
Pastor Don Johnson
I'm not coming.
Pastor Cora
And I'm not responding through your text message. And you know why? Cause I told you why. And see, people. People need to know you be muzzled. And you be letting people walk all over you and bully you. And you just quiet. And you just. Just be quiet. And people need to know if I don't like you, you know it.
Hayden
You know it.
Pastor Cora
Cause I don't want you to talk to me because you'll waste your time and mine. So let me go ahead and let you know I don't like you, okay? So don't waste your time talking to me. You need to be able to tell people, I don't like the way that you treat me. I'm not going to allow you to be in my space because of the way that you treat me until you can learn how to communicate with me effectively. I'm not going to communicate with you.
Hayden
What?
Ad Host
Simple.
Pastor Cora
Simple. Mom, brother, sister, auntie, uncle.
Pastor Don Johnson
Who is uncle?
Pastor Cora
Grandma. For real. I'm sorry.
Hayden
Because you're fortified.
Pastor Cora
Fortified.
Hayden
And you're focused.
Pastor Cora
Focused. And I'm also faithful.
Dr. Oscar Williams
We got an online question.
Pastor Don Johnson
We got another online question.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Why don't people talk more about the consequences of disobeying God?
Pastor Cora
Because we too busy disobeying them. Listen, it's hard to talk about it when you're in it. You know what I'm saying?
Pastor Don Johnson
Crazy way.
Hayden
First of all, you first of all, welcome to the realest panel that you've ever heard in your entire life. That's first off. We're gonna give it to you straight, raw, 151 proof, straight cut, no chasing. Okay? Why do people talk more about. Why don't people talk more about the concepts of God? Let me say, first for myself, I'm a mercy baby.
Pastor Cora
Look at you.
Hayden
When we talk about the word glory. Romans 3 and 23 says that all have sinned and fell short.
Pastor Cora
Sure do.
Hayden
Of the glory of God I love. So why would I stand and tower over somebody else that has my same issue? You might lie, I might cuss. Somebody else might drink, somebody else might be a drug addict, but it's all sin. Now. I am not sin, saying obviously all disobedience. I'm not preaching. Let's go out and sin. Let's go out and disobey God. We must talk about the text and put the text in context. But can we do it with a graceful lens of a loving charging season while we're yet honest with oursel? Last thing is while I'm feeding you the word as a pastor, I am bleeding myself because it is, it is a two edged sword. Let's preach the word, let's teach the word all 31,102 verses. But on the other end let's make sure that we give grace because we're both bleeding.
Dr. Oscar Williams
I think it's 31,202 verses.
Pastor Cora
I'm tired of the both of you. I think the other thing that we run into is we want people to talk to us the way we want to be taught.
Hayden
Say it.
Pastor Cora
And so a lot of times there is conviction going on and lessons and teaching going on in the pulpit as it pertains to disobeying God. But if it's not spoken to you in a way that you want to hear it, if it doesn't coddle you, if it doesn't comfort you, if it doesn't make you feel good, then you shut it off. You don't hear us. And so it's not that we're not talking about it. You don't want to listen. You're disobeying the pastor that's trying to teach you you are not open to hear. He that have an ear, you know, you need to have an ear to hear it. And so I think sometimes it's like a bishop ain't preaching. So I'm not going to church because God can't speak through nobody else. Come on. And so we don't want to hear from people that are outside of the scope of what we have set up.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Can I add something to that, I think to the question the consequences of disobeying God. I have learned that if I focus on really teaching and preaching and living a life where people understand relationship with God, I won't have to focus on the penalty. Because if I need to manipulate you into obeying God, if I need to talk about how bad it is, oh, you're going to hell if you don't do this. Whatever. Why would God want me to represent him that way? That I could talk about how good he is and his love and whatever. But the only way I can get you in is I say now if you do that, you know you're going to hell. Now I'm scaring you and It's a fear tactic of getting you to follow God. It's a fear tactic of getting you to come to church, whatever. And if I focus on really saying, listen, this is who you're in relationship with. This is who is your fortress. Now understand that with any healthy teaching comes the balance of helping people to understand that when you're out of the arc of safety, when you pull yourself out of the arc of safety through disobedience and what disobedience is, it's not all the big things. Sometimes it is not following the will of God, whatever that will of God is. When you pull yourself out of his will, then you are subject to maintain whatever you started. God is not obligated to then sustain you in those periods because you pulled yourself out. And that is a result of disobedience. But if I got 30 minutes or 10 minutes or 15 minutes, I'm going to spend that time talking about the love of God and how he's so fiercely in love with you and how he wants, how he's pursuing you. And I'm going to walk it and show it till you get the conviction in your heart. Because here's the thing about fear. It only lasts for a second. And once that fear is what I said, once you get scared, you run into the fortress. But once things calm down, you run out. I want you to run in and stay in. And that only happens when you understand the benefit of being under his covering.
Pastor Don Johnson
There is, there is something that is really good. There is something we must also understand when we talk about, about the consequences of God. We really don't know the consequences of God. We assume the consequences of God. We assume what it is. Because if disobeying God came with consequences, then we all will suffer consequences because all of us have disobeyed God. So then we're trying to figure out what is the level of the consequence. Now we're talking about sin and hell, that's one thing. But disobeying God is something totally different. There's a scripture that says he that know if to do of right and do if not to him, it is sin. What is the consequence for that? How do you teach on that? So you got to be level when you talk about. So it comes from mercy, it comes from grace and talking about the love of God. The more you talk about love, you'll draw more bees with honey than you will as it relates to hellfire and brimstone. That is the consequences. That is a real thing that we will talk about. But everyone's not converted that way as well. Love converts faster than fear does any day. He loves you through your mess. He love you in spite of your mess. Perfect. It does. Absolutely does. So we got to be careful with doing that. And I'm sorry, we had a question here in in person, too. No, no. This is live.
Hayden
What to say really quick because Pastor Cora, you really hit it. And she's getting ready to hit it in terms of our faith. But what I was convicted about is not articulating the text. The goodness of God leads a man, a woman, to repentance.
Pastor Don Johnson
Absolutely.
Hayden
The privilege I have, I've had the privilege of ministering in prisons for years and years. And when I go in, I'm not talking to them about their consequences. They have already felt that.
Pastor Cora
Yeah.
Hayden
And sometimes what you don't know is because somebody's not in a physical prison that you see, they are already dealing with their consequences. They don't need extra added drama and stress.
Pastor Don Johnson
That's good.
Hayden
Let's make sure we extend the olive branch of love. That's good, my sister.
Pastor Cora
That's what it said in the book, Love and kindness I have draw thee not through hatefulness and raggediness. Go ahead, sweetheart.
Pastor Don Johnson
This is a related question, but it's
Pastor Cora
really not so what is a healthy way to feel your emotions while like being angry or upset, while being obvious?

on your assignment. One more time. Yes. Yes ma'.
Hayden
Am.
Pastor Cora
What is a healthy way to feel your emotions? Like being angry or upset while still being obedient on your assignment? Oh, that's a good question.
Dr. Oscar Williams
I'm just say one quick thing. God is not afraid of your emotions. God is not afraid of your anger.
Pastor Don Johnson
Of your.
Dr. Oscar Williams
The Bible says be angry and sin not. And we hear that. But understanding that we in humanity that those emotions happen, you don't want to. And Pastor Don said it earlier, emotions lie to you. They're fickle, they change. And you don't want to make decisions based or actions based off of those emotions. You have to understand it comes from two different parts. There's a suke, the soul and there's the spirit. And that's why the Bible says the the word of God is sharper than any two edged sword piercing asunder between the bone and the marrow, the soul and the spirit. There has to be a separation between the two. When I'm walking with God, I have to understand that my emotions are always going to lead me one way. My emotions are governed by the things my senses, the things I see, the things I feel. That's why they change. They're emotional. The weather could be doing something. Oh, but whether I feel like this, I'm going to stay home. Those are your emotions. I then do default to my spirit. So how do I manage myself in those times? I always consult and default to what is the spirit of God in me telling me to do in this moment. And sometimes and most times it's going to war against your flesh. That's how you know. Okay, I know the good I would do what happens. Evil is always present. There's always this dichotomy. As long as I know that I'm in a fight and I know which side of the fight to get on, I don't want to agree with my flesh. I want to Agree with the Spirit.
Pastor Don Johnson
There's a great book. No clap for that.
Hayden
I just wanted to say Pastor Cora talked about that earlier when she. When we had the question regarding rest. Some things need to be addressed. First of all, I think your question is a beautiful, heartfelt question. And I think you're really walking in holiness because you want to please God. The Bible says be angry, but sin not. But I think most times we sin because it's built up. Am I the only one who's been passive aggressive before? It's built up. And so now you're facing it, and you just let it have it because you're tired. And here's the key. This guy, this great guy right here, works out we you. Whether you got to work out. Run, sing, do something to get. And no sugar. And no sugar. And no sugar. See, I love it.
Pastor Don Johnson
I love it.
Hayden
No processed sugar. No processed sugar. You overachiever, you. But I think what happens is, if we would basically dump some water out the pot, it wouldn't boil over as quickly.
Pastor Don Johnson
There's a great book for you. It's called Emotional Intelligence. It's a very, very good book. There's a portion of the chapter talked about managing your emotions. And I think that's one thing that we kind of overlook is Christianity, that we have those feelings. It is that you manage the emotions. Don't let the emotions manage you. That way you can walk in your purpose. Jesus walks into the temple and flips over tables. Cause he's mad, but he managed the emotions and don't let them manage you. And I think that's one thing. It's a great book. Oh, I didn't even see over here. I'm sorry. So when you're going through life and you're in church and you feel the
Pastor Cora
Holy Ghost on you, what stops you from letting loose?
Pastor Don Johnson
For me, I feel like it's trauma
Pastor Cora
or me just being in my head. But how do you just let it go?
Pastor Don Johnson
That is a great question.
Pastor Cora
I really don't care how people think. That's why they're saying it to me. And really, that's what you have to do. You have to not care what people are thinking, thinking how they're gonna look at you, and you just let it go. Listen, there is a reason, even if it is trauma that's trying to stop you. The enemy's trying to stop your praise. Because it surprises him that you would be praising anyway. It surprises him. And so when the Holy Spirit hits you, he wants you to respond with trauma. He wants you to have A trauma response to something that should be a triumph, victory in your life. And so when you are at the altar and you feel that rise, remind yourself that this is not your fear. This is the enemy's fear. And he's trying to stop you from getting your praise. And I just. Oh, I get thrilled when I get to make the devil mad. And so you get to make the devil mad. When you praise outside of trauma, you get to make the devil up, upset. When you feel that stop and you go anyway, feel that hesitance and push anyway, you are going to be able to have more power when you use it than you will ever have with it just in your hand.
Pastor Don Johnson
Amen.
Dr. Oscar Williams
That's right. Love on a. Love on a. Love on her. That's right. Love on her. Love on her.
Pastor Don Johnson
Think that's a great question. Yes, ma'. Am. Yes, ma'. Am.
Hayden
You were saying earlier that when you go into rest, you know, put up your rise up and put up your boundaries. Sister Cora.
Pastor Don Johnson
Pastor Cora. I'm sorry.
Pastor Cora
It's fine, honey. My name is Cora,
Pastor Don Johnson
but I find
Hayden
myself in between two people who are in rest
Pastor Don Johnson
within my circle.
Hayden
My sisters are my circle, and they've been in rest with each other for a year now. And it forces me into rest. What do I do? Do I create a new circle?
Pastor Cora
You don't want to rest? I need a little more context.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Are you saying unrest or rest? You said they're at.
Pastor Cora
They're at rest.
Pastor Don Johnson
They.
Hayden
They put up boundaries, be between around the family and that I'm the only person that they'll talk to.
Pastor Cora
Okay.
Hayden
And it's like, so I have no circle. I have the, you know, just these individuals.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Does that make sense? Yes.
Pastor Don Johnson
Yeah.
Hayden
So what do I do?
Pastor Don Johnson
Do I create a circle?
Hayden
Because I feel like I need that circle, but I no longer have that, only have individuals. Yeah, I'll let my colleagues chime in here. Here's what I'm sensing. First of all, my sister with the last question, something dropped on me. Prophetically, what's happening is when the Holy Ghost comes, this is going to tie into your question as well. When. When the Holy Ghost comes and you quench it or you don't get out of you, this means what I prophetically see is you've developed a rhythm of holding back on God. You've developed a rhythm of not expressing all that you feel. That comes from deep trauma in other areas where you were either not heard or where you couldn't express yourself. I know. I feel you. No, no, no. You don't understand. I'm crying with you. I told Pastor Oscar, I said, I feel her. Because what I see prophetically is the enemy has tried to give you a demonic equation for handling your emotions. It will stop today. In the name of Jesus, the Holy Spirit is filling you and flooding you with his glory and his power. Those tears will not now become tongues. Those tears will now become glory. Those tears will now become praise and worship. Break the cycle, break the equation. How this ties into your question is you have these two pillars that either you used to depend on, now it has inverted and they depend on you. You do not have to hold somebody else's burden permanently. So perhaps the Master is calling you out of the circle because you have been locked in an equation that's trying to break you. You have been locked in an equation that has been overwhelming. And because you've been doing things between. You got to go between this one and this one. And the Lord says, enough is enough. They've got to go to God for themselves. Listen, you, we've got to serve. But maybe they're not at rest. And I don't think it's rest that you're articulating. I think that they're saying they're giving each other a rest because they don't know how to handle the situation or the trouble or the trauma. But here's the key. We've got to serve God. You got to work out your own soul salvation with fear and trembling. You got enough of your destiny. I see greatness over you. I see power in you. I see a leader in you. I see something that is trying to develop in you. There is intelligence, gifting, anointing and creativity activity on the inside of you. And these individuals are helping in the distraction that's causing you to dummy down your gift. I know, I see it. I'm telling you what I see. I'm seeing a giant being held back by. I'm not talking about the individuals by midget spirits. You are a giant in the spirit. Rise up and become the woman that God has called you to be. You don't owe anybody or nobody or nothing and a population walk in the destiny that the Master has placed within you. You have permission. Nothing is holding you but you. Last thing I see these invisible prison walls that you put on yourself. Lift your hands and get ready to break them now. In Jesus. Name every. I need. I need. I need a female elder. I come myself. I need every wall to fall down today. We need you. We need what you carry. We need the glory and the power of God.
Pastor Don Johnson
In you.
Hayden
How dare you hold yourself back because of other people. You're too gifted for that. You're too anointed for that. You're too powerful for that. Walk in who he created you to be. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right.
Pastor Don Johnson
It has become so toxic that she's talking herself out of the blessings of God now. And most of you know you can be so intoxicated with other people that they will cause you to miss the blessing of God. But today we break every demonic curse, every evil spirit, everything that the enemy said evil against you. Today we declare freedom in the name of Jesus. Jesus, Rise up, woman of God. And today we declare that every stronghold must come down in the. And it is so. And it is so. And it is so.
Pastor Cora
Yes, God.
Pastor Don Johnson
Yes, God. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Hayden
Yes.
Pastor Don Johnson
Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Thank you. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Everybody standing. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. And she is not the only one that is living within the prison of her own head that somebody has talked you out of the blessings that God has assigned for you. But today, we'll deal with the other stuff later. I hear your Holy Ghost, that today every enemy that has come against you, that's stopping you from moving forward, every person that feels like you can't break out of the cycle, every person that feels like you're in bondage and it's in your head and you cannot walk and do what God has called you to do and moving your assignment. I need everybody that has this. I need you to run to this altar right now. Don't wait on it. Don't wait for the people. Don't wait for anybody else, because the enemy is trying to distract you. No more distractions. No more distractions. No more distractions. No online. We're talking to you, too. No more. No more distractions. No. No more distractions. We had so much more we wanted to talk about. I looked at Pastor Corey. I said, did you need your time? She said, oh, no, I don't need my time. And I don't need mine either. Because I sensed something as Pastor Dobbins were talking. I felt the weight of other people feeling the same thing she felt. So she just proved to be a conduit for others who are dealing with the same thing you have taught yourself out of what God has for you. And today the devil is a liar. Today, the devil is a liar. Sometimes the tool that the enemy uses is distractions. And I come against every distraction. I come against every demonic spirit. I come against every bad thought man to God. I come against everything that has tried to hold you back from what God has in store for you. And out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water. Forgive yourself. Today is the day that you press your way to this altar. And today I pray that every bad word that has come to against you be broke down in the name of Jesus. And I declare that every stronghold let the wind of God be what you need in this season of your life.

Don't wait for them to get it. Don't wait for us to get it. Don't wait for us to get it. The glory is in you. Are you a glory carrier or not? The glory is in you don't wait for us. Don't wait for hands to be laid on you. Go to God for yourself. Yourself. You're his child. You are his child. You go to him. You get the glory. You show him that you're firm, that you're focused, that you're faithful, that you're fortified. Build it up within yourself. Go to the Lord for yourself. Open your heart.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Open in your heart.
Pastor Don Johnson
God does not care what you did. You cannot out evil God's goodness. I'm gonna say that again. You cannot out evil God's goodness. Stop disqualifying yourself self because you give him the resume of what you did today. As hands was laid on you today, as we came to the altar today, as you were part of our e church and you were on the altar
Dr. Oscar Williams
at your own home.
Pastor Don Johnson
God is saying, I got to be where you are. His glory is manifested where you are. This is the moment, this is the time. This is where we accept him not just as our personal savior, but today is when we accept him as what he's doing in our life. I refuse to be distracted again, God, if I need a new circle, give me a new circle. If I need new friends, give me new friends. If I need to be isolate me, isolate me. If I need to be fasting, let me fast. But one thing I will not do is I will not be distracted again. You will not talk yourself out of God's assignment again. Because everyone that's watching, everyone that's in here, you have an assignment. And that's to help carry the glory. And today we stand as four priests to help you carry the glory. Today we stand stand as four corners to help you carry the glory. Today we stand here as living examples that we have not been perfect, that we've done some things wrong. But I'm here to tell you that you can survive everything. Matter of fact, it's not you can survive. Do I have anybody here that you did survive. You're surviving it, you're dealing with it. Even with the trouble, trauma, I'm still dealing with it. Even with the anger, I'm still dealing with it. I am a survivor. Gotta be where you are. Wanna be where you are so listen, God is singing that you God is seren you I want to be where you are. In other words, your next decision. God say, don't leave me out of it. Your next business deal, God said, don't leave me out of it. The next joint venture you get, God said, don't leave me out of it. The next time you get ready to write the book, God say, don't leave me out of it. The next business plan, you get it right, God said, don't leave me out of it. As a matter of fact, put me at the center core of it, and I promise you, I'll give you 30, I'll give you 60, I'll give you a hundredfold. I'll show you. I'm done after this. We talk about the glory of God. And if you go back and study that Joshua text that we're talking about, the Bible says, as soon as the foot of the priest stepped on the water, everything changed. As soon as the feet of the priest that was carrying the glory, oh, I'm prophesying to somebody today, when you carry God glory out here, when you step on the job tomorrow, you're gonna watch some things slow down and change in your life. When you step in your home, you're gonna see some things happen that's going to change in your life. But here's the miracle. Here's the miracle. The text says, when they went in the water, the water that flew upward stopped immediately and began to build up. But the water that flew downward flew until it dried up, which means God's presence will open doors for you that man cannot close. And I prophesied to somebody today that just like the Jordan was an obstacle, God said, you're about to be an overcomer of the obstacle because all you did
Pastor Cora
take it stand.
Pastor Don Johnson
Yes, you just, all you did was put. You just put your feet in the water. You just put your feet. You just put your foot in the water. You put your foot, you put your foot on the problem. You put your foot on the obstacle. And God says, as a matter of fact, somebody shout, I'm carrying something.
Pastor Cora
I'm carrying.
Pastor Don Johnson
Oh, no. Somebody put in the comment. Type it. Somebody shout, I'm carrying something. And what are you carrying? I'm carrying the glory. I'm carrying the glory home. I'm carrying it to my job, I'm carrying it to my kids. I'm carrying it in the door. I'm carrying it on campus, I'm carrying it. And everywhere my foot shall trod the steps of the good man. The steps of a good man. I ordered my God. The steps of a good man, they're ordered by God. And I'm declaring every step you take while you carry his glory, doors are going to open, ways are going to be made. Catch this. And the weight. Because the weight you carrying, some doors are going to close and we gonna thank God for the closed doors. And we gonna thank God for the closed doors. I wanna be where you are. So for everyone that's in here today that's struggling, fighting mentally, emotionally, spiritually, with family, with friends, if there's a fight, that you believe after tonight that God is going to fortify you, God's going to give you the faith, God's going to give you the focus, and he's going to make you firm. If there's anybody in here other than me, other than the four of us up here, if there's anybody here you believe God's about to turn this thing around in your favor, I want you to shout like God's already done it. Oh, I want you online. I'm talking to you. It's done. I. I'm not a quiet praiser. I'm not a quiet praiser. I am not a quiet praiser. The devil can go to hell. Cause today is the day. I'm not gonna get quiet. I'm not gonna get caught. I'm not Jesus, that Son of David, have mercy on me. Have mercy on me. If I can't cut up like this at church, Wells, can I cut up? Because I am not. You are not a quiet praiser. And just like the young lady from earlier, the next time the Holy Ghost prompts you, you will not quench it. I don't care who's around you, I don't care where you're gonna be. I don't care if you shout in the middle of Walmart, but I am declaring. God says when you open your mouth in this new season, I don't know who this is is for, he said, but when you open your mouth, it's gonna be like the walls of Jericho falling down. I don't know who this is for, but he said, but when it's fall, it's gonna fall flat. It's generational curses will be broken, it's gonna fall flat. Financial curses will be broken, it's gonna fall flat. Because I'm carrying the glory. I'm carrying the glory. I'm carrying the glory. I'm carrying in a presence. Presence of God, I am carrying. All right. That is so good. I don't know. I don't know who this is for today, but if there's anybody in here, don't move just yet. Anybody in here that you don't know Christ as your personal savior?
Hayden
If.
Pastor Don Johnson
If the sky cracked open right now, you don't know if you'll make it to heaven or hell. This is not about you being perfect. This is about relationship. I'M talking to you online as well. There's anybody in here that don't know Christ as your personal savior and you want to develop a relationship with him, just do me a favor, just raise your hand. I want to get my life right with God. I see your hand. I see your hand. I see your hand. Yeah, yeah, I see. I see your hand. I see your hand. And because I saw the hand of the ones that wanted to declare him as savior, or you may be in the backstood stage and you're trying to get yourself back right with God as a corporate prayer, I want everybody to repeat after me, Father, I believe you sent your son to down the cross for my sins. And I believe on the third day, Jesus got up from the grave with all power in his hand. And that same power that got Jesus up from the grave now lives in me. That's it. It's not a ritual. It's not. It is the declaration of your mouth and the believing of your heart. Now, here's what's going to have to happen. You got to put yourself in a community, in a circle of people like the potter's house to say, anytime I feel like I'm getting distracted, I need to be around people that's going to help me stay on track. And I'm believing God, that after this season, after tonight, the things about the shift and change forever in your life. Here's nothing I wanted to do. Today. You are a sacrifice. Today you all are anointed to carry the glory. The one thing that we did not touch on that I need for all of you to understand that there was a set of instructions that come with carrying the glory prayer. It's not anything. You just get up in the morning doing your own. In other words, you need to be around people that can give you some instructions. Hey, here's what you need to do. Here's what need to happen in your life. It's okay to be submitted. Okay, I'm gonna say that again. It's okay to be under somebody and listen, you need to follow instructions. Because if not, you're gonna be like me, looking at the picture on the box, trying to put something together and it ain't gonna work. You're gonna be left with some screws on the floor. But there's a set of instructions that God has given us that he wants us to follow the instructions. And following the instructions is what we're gonna need to carry the weight of the glory. And I am declaring and believing that everybody in here and everyone that's watching. You are equipped to carry the glory. Somebody shout, I'm equipped to carry the assignment that God put on my life. I need you to hear that. This is our call to action. Somebody repeat it again. I am equipped to carry the assignment that God has placed on my life. That's the call act. Somebody say it again. I am equipped to carry the assignment that God has placed on my life. And you're not easily broken, you're not easily distracted. And the enemy does not like what you have just declared. And he's gonna fight you and he's mad. But guess what? My sister, Pastor Cora said it best. There's nothing I love more than to make it the devil mad at me. So do me a favor as you go back to your seat, I'm getting ready to pray. We get ready to get out of here. Do me a favor. Now you have to do this. Be obedient. I feel like Pastor Hannah. Obey me. Obey me. Listen, find somebody. You're going back to your seat, high five them and tell them you're equipped. You're equipped. You're equipped. You're equipped. You're equipped for. You. You are. You are equipped for. You're. You're equipped for it. If you're online, type it in the comment. I'm equipped. I'm equipped. I'm equipped. I. I am equipped. I want to do this as we get ready to shift and God's getting ready to bless you beyond measure. If there's anybody here that you believe God is about to give you 30, 60, 100 fold. Somebody's got start shouting if you believe. If you believe God's about to move you in the 30s. Somebody move you into 60. God's about to move you to 100 fold. Somebody just start shouting up here. Yeah, listen, I listen. I'm about. I want to shout like her in the aisle right there. God's about to. I think she shot a hundredfold, matter of fact, Deuteronomy 1 and 11. Said God will give you a thousand times. He'll give you a thousand times. Somebody better not let her shout by herself that God's about to do it in her life that things about to shift and change. And I am declaring that eyes have not seen, ears have not heard. Said I want you to grab. I want you to grab. Or you need a tithing offering envelope, grab it. Raise your hand if you're in need of a tithing offering envelope. PMTs will be about to serve you with that. If you are already giving online, their instructions are on the line. You can text to give. You can scan the QR code. But what I will not do is I will not get miss what we are called a kairos moment. The moment that God opened up the windows of heaven and he'll pour out a blessing. We don't have room enough to receive it. Somebody shout, I receive it. I receive it. I. I receive it. I receive it. I receive it. If you're ready to give. If you're ready to give. If you're ready to give, give. If you're ready to give, I want you to jump up on your feet like God has already done it. If you are ready to give.

This episode of Walk It Out Wednesday features a dynamic, interactive discussion from The Potter’s House Pastoral Panel on the theme of “Focused on Glory.” Panelists dive deep into the meaning, experience, and practical implications of carrying the glory of God. Drawing from biblical narratives, personal testimonies, and congregational questions, the team unpacks how believers can be fortified, focused, and faithful as carriers of God’s glory—offering memorable metaphors and actionable encouragements throughout.
Church Language & Clarity
“Sometimes in church, we use words that we think people understand... but tonight we're inviting questions to really dig deep into the understanding… there’s the Shekinah, there’s the kabod—that glory.” (05:10)
Anointing vs Glory
“Anointing is the active power of God being worked through you. Glory is the weight of His power being manifested outside of you.” (07:26)
“The anointing is from God, yes, the glory is God. God is not anointed. He is glory. But He anoints us to destroy the yokes of the enemy.” (10:51)
“Don’t confuse God’s use of you as His approval of you.” (11:26)
Metaphor of the Cup and Water
“I see anointing as the glass or the cup. I see glory being the water… Pour out what I put in you in order for there to be an overflow. Most times, we’re frustrated with what’s in the cup, that we don’t pour it out.” (08:18, 09:43)
Old Testament Imagery—The Ark and the Glory
“There’s a certain posture, discipline, and purity you have to have to carry God's glory… this glory does not come easy. After you’ve endured hardship as a good soldier, then glory starts to get deposited into your life.” (13:47)
Being Fortified
“The first step toward becoming fortified is clarity about the nature of your opposition… a person who does not know what they are protected from, cannot fully appreciate or inhabit the fort God has provided.” (16:28)
Fort vs Fortress
Fort: Temporary defense; Fortress: Habitation and permanent dwelling.
God is our fortress—a place to continually abide, not just visit in crisis.
“Many believers have a transactional relationship with God as fortress. They enter in during crisis and exit when danger subsides.” (21:27)
Practical Advice:
“If you can get you on your own, then you have to be the governor of your own security… But tell somebody, God is the governor of my soul.” (22:38)
Community and Shared Strength
“It was four people carrying the glory, not just one. That’s why community is important... you need me and I need you.” (31:34)
Isolation—A Double-Edged Sword
“Be very careful when your theology causes you to do everything in isolation… If the anointing is what it is, it will protect you.” (27:58)
Walking as Glory Carriers Among Critics
“You have to stay focused... You will never give God glory until you accept that you are God’s child. Most times, we do not focus on the glory because we are distracted by other people’s opinions.” (36:41, 38:40)
The “Glory” Acronym
“G.L.O.R.Y means God’s Love Operating Rough Years.” (41:21)
Praise as a Weapon Against Trauma and Distraction
“When the Holy Spirit hits you, he wants you to respond with trauma… but you get to make the devil mad when you praise outside of trauma.” (62:50–64:10)
Rest Versus Rising
“You can’t rest until you start rising. Get up and set some boundaries... My boundaries start when my peace stops.” (47:38, 48:46)
Addressing Family and Community Conflicts
“Do not have to hold somebody else's burden permanently... Rise up and become the woman that God has called you to be. You don’t owe anybody or nothing an apology. Walk in the destiny that the Master has placed within you.” (65:41–69:13)
“We’re too busy disobeying him. It's hard to talk about it when you’re in it.” (50:00)
“Love converts faster than fear does any day. He loves you through your mess.” (52:44–54:52)
“God is not afraid of your emotions… Be angry and sin not… Always consult and default to what is the Spirit of God in me telling me to do in this moment.” (59:16–60:52)
“Remind yourself that this is not your fear, this is the enemy’s fear… You get to make the devil mad when you praise outside of trauma.” (62:50–64:10)
“You are equipped to carry the assignment that God put on your life... You’re not easily broken, you’re not easily distracted.” (84:24–85:44)
The episode is passionate, honest, and intensely pastoral—marked by metaphors, scriptural depth, transparency about personal struggles, and lively audience participation. The pastors blend practical advice with prophetic encouragement, always circling back to the essentials: the power of community, the necessity of boundaries, authentic praise, and unwavering assurance that God equips and fortifies His people to carry His glory—no matter the season or struggle.
Final Call to Action:
“I am equipped to carry the assignment that God has placed on my life!”
Declare it. Own it. Walk it out in glory.
