This is the Potter's House Podcast. We're here to keep you filled with the spirit and guided by the scriptures. Let me give also a little bit of clarity to Walk It Out Wednesday. One of the objectives during Walk It Out Wednesday is oftentimes standing on this platform we hurl a word out to you and that word becomes revelatory where it hits some of you in so many different ways. Well, on Walk It Out Wednesday, we get a chance to dissect and talk about how that word hits you and we get to walk line upon line, precept upon precept. And the great thing about this Is tonight we're going to have live questions also that you may want to ask. We have deacons set up and even online. That counts for you, too. We're going to have live questions. So I want to bring some of my superheroes up here with me. Could you please put your hands together for Dr. Crompton? And most of you know, if you've been walking, walking out Wednesday, this man has memory like none other. He can quote how many names is 32,000, 17,000, 15,000? He is the memory man of all the scriptures that can help us dissect this word of God. Could you put your hands together for my friend, my brother, Pastor Dobbins. So listen, you. You can take your seats. We get ready to dive into this word. And I am. I'm. I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm elated about tonight because. Oh, I put it over to you a little bit, Doc. Tonight's going to be absolutely great. Who? Yes. Come on. Yeah. And tonight's going to be absolutely great because we're going to do something not different. Praise the Lord. It works because I almost got caught up in the name of Jesus up there. Yeah, you write about it. Don't. Don't bother me because I shout. Just because you shouted. See, it don't see. I've learned fire is a combustible. If you don't understand what that is, you can. A fire could be sitting one place, but if it just happened to just touch you. Kind of like when she sung that song last Wednesday, it just kind of stopped. You gonna say tonight too dark. You're gonna say, okay, I. You told to make sure you're gonna start a fire up in here on top of what Jesus is doing. But. Yeah, but. But it's. It's amazing how we've been kind of on this journey, how to take care of our soul. And on last week, we kind of did this deep dive on the soul realm and what it kind of means, and line upon line, how that juxtaposition, how God wants to line up with the word of God and how our soul should be fed. But Pastor Dobbins, I think I want to just kind of throw this at you. How do you feel it is our current responsibility to make sure our soul is nurtured and fed properly?
B
Oh, we. That's loaded. When you come in church, typically you come in church to be fed, to be nourished. Right. Because your soul is thirsty. The problem sometimes is the. That it doesn't really happen here at our church, but a Lot of times I see preachers preach and pastors pastor, whereby they give you a lot of word and sometimes they don't challenge you to take care of your soul. I'm not afraid to tell you. I'm not, I'm not afraid of you. You see this big guy with big shoulders. So I'm good. It is your responsibility, I charge you to make sure that your mind, your, your will and your emotions are okay. And when you do not feel okay, you must partner. We talk about therapy. We're all for it. Many of us have been and it's all good. But I think sometimes we just need a good holy ghost cleaning.
A
Come on. Come on.
B
And that's if you're watching online. That's what just happened a few moments ago. That's why it was difficult to get out of worship. Because when I can't call a therapist or a doctor, sometimes I just have to say, Jesus, they're gonna think you crazy tomorrow. But it's okay to go in the stall when you're into it with your manager. Maybe you're in the cubicle. Maybe it's a confrontation between you and customers. Customers you could just whisper the name of. I think it's our responsibility to take care of our soul. Obviously there are natural aspects to that. Whether it is counseling, working out, push ups, journaling, writing forgiveness in your heart, making amends with your family, your friends, and so much more. But I think our responsibility is to first own our soul.
A
Now that is so great because some of us are not self aware or cognitive of. Okay, I have a problem with my thinking. Because you can work in dysfunction for so long. Dysfunction feels like function and now you think normal is really abnormal. So you really, really have a problem. And it is the definition of the soul. Like, how do you, how do you define the soul? Because we talked about that a little bit last week. But how do you. I'm just. How do you define the soul?
B
I have a smarter friend next to me on the left, so I'll let her extrapolate the truths of the morals of this pontification and definition of the soul. But I try to keep it simple. It is your mind, your will, what you determine to do. Your mind, your will, and also your emotions. This cerebrum, cerebellum, occipital lobe, which is connected to the brain stem and so many other cells, fires consistently. And one of the things that I learned is that the brain really does not sleep. Your brain actually only gets rest when you yawn. That's why if somebody Next to you yawns. It reminds your brain to yawn, and it's contagious and you yawn as well. So to me, the mind is so important because it controls the will and it also controls the emotions.
C
So I say that the soul is the essence of who you are. It is what is wrapped your body, wraps your soul. You were a spirit being from the beginning. We were spirit beings. And when he breathed into us the breath of life, we became living souls. So the essence of. We weren't alive physically until he gave us a soul. So the essence of who we are is our souls.
A
And it's funny that you say that, Dr. Clinton, because not only is it the essence of who we are, it is what makes us up. It is why the Bible talks clearly about making sure your mind is right. Let this thing, let this mind be in you. That was all. Let this essence, this fragrance, how we think. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. So he always talks about the mind. And there's a reason he talks about the mind. I think Pastor PT Goes into. Pastor Tory goes into it so well about how we need to make sure that we're covered, that we make sure we're intentionally doing those things. So how do we talk about it? How do you cultivate your mind? One scripture says this. He says we are born in sin, but we're shapened in iniquity. Which means something shaped how you think, right? Something shaped. I don't care who you are, everybody. Something shaped the reason why you think the way you think. I don't care if it was experiences, something that happened in life or just life. As my son say, life be life in. And it becomes so uncomfortable at times. So God said, let this mind be in your you that was also in Christ Jesus. So if it's as our soul is our essence, then we need to make sure that we're meditating, we're nurturing our soul, our mind, intentionally. And that's the way I'm trying to get to intentionally. You have to be intentional about make sure that that essence that Dr. Crumpton talk about, that we're intentional about growing it, developing it as a tree.
C
So the Bible says it's with the mind that we serve him.
A
Yes.
C
So if the mind is discombobulated and confused and not sure, I guess, of who they are or he or she is, then it's difficult to serve the Lord because that's. In fact, that's what the enemy came up against Eve about. He challenged her mind and the way she thought and the essence of who she was, and he challenged that, and he brought her to a place where she was confused and had to make a decision. So I'm sorry, you were about to say.
B
No, no, no, you're good. I'm just feasting on that because I'm going back to the definition, and I think it's sometimes articulated that in your body, you have world consciousness.
A
Yeah.
B
Your spirit has God consciousness. Your soul is really mind consciousness. By the time you figure out how you were shaped, it's over. I know I'm gonna move your fence and open the gate and come knock on your door. By the time you realize the issues that you've got with your mouth, your attitude, your. Your pride, your lust. Is this too tough? Can y' all handle this? By the time you really realize why you procrastinate, why you're lazy, why you're frustrated, why you're a hard worker, why you are so everything's got to be to the T, or why you're so scattered, you're built a particular way. It's over. The reason why I say it's over is because these formidable years, from 0 to 8, 9, and 10, most of what you think about life is. Is set. So your mind has been contoured in such a way that to Pastor Don's point, somebody else shaped you. So the question is, have you taken the time to name who shaped you?
A
That's good.
B
Well, my father wasn't there. That still is shaping.
A
Yeah, that's good.
B
Presence is a shaping. Absence is a shaping. Abandonment is a shake. Shaping. Rejection is a shaping. Whether your parents were there or not there, whether you were adopted, whether you had good times in relationships, bad times, who you. Who you were around, what your family characteristics are, has a lot to do with your mindset. So the reason I say, by the time you figure it out, it's over. So the enemy has already put a stamp. Born in sin, shaping in iniquity. And he tries to continue along that vein. Now, here you are with your drunk. Here you are with yourself, going to the club. Here you are with being confronted with, I've got to give my life to Jesus Christ. And you give your life to the Lord. And he says, be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. So the transformation of the soul starts with the mind, which, to me, controls the soul.
A
And let me say this, at any point in time, especially for those online, we encourage you put your questions. They are coming. But make sure you put your questions in. In the comment, because we're going to address your question live as we're talking about. We want to shape your answer to the questions that you're going to ask us tonight.
C
I want to go back to. Well, I want them to play my clip, and I want to kind of go back to part one and bring us up to part two, so. So play my clip, if you will.
A
And so we talked about how God equates us often in Scripture to trees. How many places, as he said, and you shall be like a tree planted
B
by the rivers of water that brings
A
forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf will not wither, and whatever he does shall prosper.
B
And so what we're doing, we make
A
Ms. Oftentimes we think about the.
B
The tree prospering.
A
We think about the fruit, and we think about the leaves not withering. But you missed it.
C
He said, you're like a tree planted
B
by the rivers of water.
A
In other words, if you are not
B
planted by the rivers of water, you are not going to bring forth fruit
A
and you're not going to bring forth it consistently. I feel this for somebody. I hear this clearly. I just want to say it.
B
It's a root problem. You think it's a fruit problem, but it's a root. Oh, I feel the Holy Ghost.
C
Yeah. So I was excited that he brought that back up this Sunday because the first part one. After church that Sunday, some friends and I went out to lunch and we were just talking about the soul. I mean, it was really deep, right? We were like, heavy in this message. And one of my sister friends said, it makes me think about the sycamine tree. The sycamore tree. I said, hmm. And so she started talking about the sycamore tree. Made me want to go and research it. Right. So I'm going to give you what came up because I couldn't wait to talk about it last week, but we ran out of time. So let me just give you my notes because I think it's important when we're talking about the soul. The sycamore tree, or the sycamine tree, as it's sometimes called, is a fig tree. And the fig tree, this particular fig tree, it dates back to 3000 B.C. it is the tree that was plentiful in Egypt. And Egypt was called the land of the sycamore tree. Now, the fruit on the tree was good to eat, and the leaves made a healing tea. And then the SAP on the sycamore tree made syrup. Now, Egypt used the sycamore tree to build the bark, to build their coffins. And, oh, put my picture up, please. All right. So they use the bark to build the coffins. And what's interesting about the sycamore tree is it regenerates itself. It has the ability to regenerate itself and even by having sand on the branch, just sand on the branch causes it to produce new roots and grow a whole new tree. Now, I'm going to get to it in just a minute. It was extremely important during ancient times because it was a productive fruit. It was a tree that brought money in prosperity at its time. It can live to be 250 years old and it can weigh up to 250 pounds. This tree is noted for its size, its multicolored bark, it's fast growing, it's edible fruit, it's medicinal leaves, and it has the ability to adapt in any condition. So when we see Zacchaeus in a sycamore tree, it was the only tree. Check this out. In the place where palm trees grow, because what was that? What was the city? The city was Jericho. Jericho was the land of palm trees. Well, when Jesus came out, headed to Jerusalem, here sits this sycamore tree, and it's a sycamore tree growing where pine trees grow. Now the sycamore tree, looking at the. Can y' all keep my tree up just for a minute? I'm still talking about it. I wanted to look at my tree. Okay? Now the sycamore tree sat between the Dead Sea and what is known as Elijah Spring. If you go back Old Testament, you'll learn about Elijah Spring. I don't have time for that. And its roots ran deep. What does this have to do with the soul? So the roots. This is where we got into the conversation at, at lunch. The roots of a sycamine tree go 30 to 50ft deep and they stretch up to 100ft wide, right? And the thing, the, the way it connects to the soul is through bitterness and unforgiveness. Now let me, let me help you with that. Put up Luke 17 and 6. Because when Jesus is talking about unforgiveness and bitterness to the disciples, he says, if you have the faith of a mustard seed, you can speak to this sycamine tree. That tells you how deep rooted unforgiveness and bitterness goes to the soul. Remember on the first part, one of the sermon PT Was talking about, he wanted to know he had done everything right. He read his Bible, take care of his family, did his work, preached his sermons, yada, yada, but he didn't know what it was. And it was the deep seated thing that he couldn't find. And Jesus told him it was his soul. Because your soul is so deep seated, and it is the thing that is impacted by how you were raised. That's where bitterness sits. That's where unforgiveness sits. So Jesus tells them, if you have the faith of the grain of a mustard seed, you can say to this sycamine tree, be thy plucked up by the root. We're talking about 30 to 50ft deep and almost 100ft wide. If you got the power, if you believe, you can talk to your unforgiveness, you can speak to your bitterness, and you can tell it to be plucked up by the root. Y' all ain't getting this. That's what the sycamore tree. And it's all through scripture. Oh, my goodness. I even think about Revelations 22 and 2. I think it is where it says, and the leaves shall be for the healing of the nations. Oh, my goodness. Is it talking about the sycamine tree?
A
Come on.
C
Was it the sycamine tree in the. In the Garden of Eden that they ate off of? Not the tree of the good of knowledge and evil, but the tree that they could eat off of. Of. They could eat off the sycamine tree because it was made for us to eat. It had the best fruit. One more thing I want to tell you, and we can move on, that the rich people didn't off eat off of the sycamore tree. Only the poor people ate off the sycamore tree. I'm going to let y' all think on that just for a minute because we got to move on. But the sycamore drink. Yeah, we gotta. But the sycamore represents the soul because it is of its depth. And check it out. It is in the water. The roots are in the water. So even while the soul is being fed, even while the soul is getting the strength, the word that it needs, sometimes bitterness and unforgiveness doesn't move.
B
I quit preaching. I quit preaching. So you got this.
A
That is so much that is tied into that nurturing, that word you just did. I'm going to ask you for permission. Can I borrow your picture for just one second?
C
Absolutely. If you'll leave it up there.
A
Because when I saw. When I saw that tree, I didn't just see. You had to grow up, but you had to grow down.
C
You gotta grow down. Oh, wait, wait, wait. One more thing. Come on. So the roots grow down. Check this out. I want you to get a visual. I'm A visual person. Get a visual. The roots grow down and the roots grow out.
A
What do y' all see?
C
The roots grow down.
A
You're going, yes.
C
And the roots grow out. What you see? You see the cross? Because he got up on a tree. My, my, my, my. He got up on a tree to save my soul. Okay, I'm sorry. Go ahead.
B
See, you.
A
You. You were going where I was going. Now. I wasn't going to the cross. Oh, okay. But I love how you took it there, because I thought about it. Not only does it grow down and deep and wide, it essentially is a tree underground.
C
Underground.
A
Because the roots are branches to make sure what's above ground can steady the storm. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So maybe you can't steady the storm because your roots ain't grew deep enough.
C
Wow.
A
So when the storm hits, because you. You would please keep a picture up there. Don't take that picture down. Don't take that picture down. Here's why I say don't take it down. Because you took me on a journey of juxtaposition. Because if we could eat off the sycamore tree and the fruit was the sycamore tree, but it was growing the midst of the palm tree, which means Achilles gets up on the sycamore tree and not a palm tree. Which means now when Jesus sees Achilles, he sees fruit on the tree, and he essentially says, fruit, come down off the tree, because now it's time for you to flourish. But I can only be standing on a branch that's strong enough to hold me, because palm trees, you can't stand on the branch of a palm tree, but you can stand on the branch of a sycamore tree. So maybe I need to find somebody around that I can stand on just in the case of a storm and we done climb the wrong tree, because we got with tree that can blow, that can stand a storm, but I can't stand on you in a storm.
C
Wow.
A
Because the sycamore tree is different. Okay, I'm not even supposed to be talking about this tree.
C
Wait, I know you're not. But wait, what other things? So the fruit on the tree. Because you made me think about it. The fruit on the tree of the sycamore tree had to be.
B
They.
C
Oh, okay. Let me say this. Because the sycamore tree produce fruit six times a year. Yes, Six crops a year. Right. So is it possible that I didn't want to go there first, but let me go? Is it possible that when Jesus walked by that tree and that tree wasn't producing and it was. It could have been a sycamore tree. He cursed it. Cause you supposed to be producing and you're not producing and you didn't bring forth. And one more thing I want to tell you. And I'm gonna let this alone.
A
I'm gonna let it alone.
C
Amos. In the Old Testament, Amos was a dresser of the sycamore tree and he had to prune the fruit. And this is the way he did it. You would take a knife and slice it so that it could produce more fruit. It had to be cut so more fruit could come out of it.
A
So wait a minute. So you have to cut the fruit?
C
You have to cut the fruit so
A
more fruit can come out of it. But if you. If you don't get cut, you're only selfish for yourself.
C
Listen.
A
Go ahead, listen.
B
See, I threw my license away, but I had to pick it back up when you started talking about the cut cutting. Because first of all, ladies and gentlemen, you must understand the brilliance of what the spirit is doing through Dr. Val. We are in. We are smack dab in the middle of Holy Week. Yes, yes, Palm Sunday was Sunday. But on the Monday of Holy Week in which Jesus was to be crucified, he walks by the fig tree and he curses it. Yeah, that's on Monday, on day number two, which would technically be on the Tuesday. Then they come back, they're at Bethany, and then he sees that the fig tree has withered up and died. It had to die. Because this is alliteration that something's got to die. And your problem is you're trying to live in your flesh. And the Spirit of God is saying, your flesh needs to die. Be crucified and denied so that the Spirit of God can live. But here's the interesting thing. On Monday day, the fig tree. Jesus says, you're not bearing fruit. But first of all, this is going to mess up the whole order. But all I'm saying is Jesus sees leaves on the fig tree, but there is no fruit.
C
There's no fruit.
B
The tree was front.
C
Yeah.
B
I used to wonder, why did you curse the tree? He cursed it because the tree was being deceptive. And this is my problem with people systems and organizations that act like they're abundant, but they really have no power on the inside.
A
Come on.
C
This is my problem.
B
Problem with sitting next to people who come to church. They act like they're really into it, but there is no Holy Ghost deep down on the inside. And the problem is you have refused to be cut. This is why the text would say John 15 and 1. He is the true vine. My father is the first of all. He says he purges it, cuts it so that it might bring forth much fruit. Here's your problem. You're avoiding the seed scissors because you don't want to be cut. You're going to be cut either way. You're going to be cut if you're doing wrong, you're going to be cut if you're doing right. Every cutting season is not because you've done something wrong.
C
And if you try to avoid the cut, it goes deep in your soul because now your soul is bearing more than it should bear because you wouldn't let the cut be cut.
A
Now, now, now I'm gonna see if I have as many shouts. Some of you don't have a problem with the cut. You got a problem with who he cut when he don't cut you and he cut somebody else to be used. I'mma prove it to you in the church. The same tree you talking about when he calls the kids down, the church has a problem with it. I can't believe he eating with the sinners. You don't know this is a business deal. Because the saints and K that took your money, he says, tell me who I messed up, I'mma return it to him sevenfold. You got to put problem with who he cut. God, whoever you want to cut to, bless me, cut him in this season of their life. Put me in the right place. So it might not be you. Whoever he decides to cut, God, cut them, cut me. I want to be right. Okay, we.
B
No, no, no, no, no. You're good. Because here's the problem. They were judging Zacchaeus, not knowing that Zacchaeus had to be cut first. Zacchaeus, come down. I'm supposed to get up there. You're messing up the revelation. Zacchaeus, come down. I'm the one who's gonna get up there. And here's your problem. You're sacrificing yourself for people, systems and other people, and you're trying to be Jesus on the cross. No, no, no. Get your own self together. Get down off the cross and glorify God. Sometimes I see people on the throne when they should be at the bottom worshiping God. Do you want us to worship you because you're at the top of the tree? Here is the issue. We started by talking to the roots.
A
It's the roots.
B
And this is why we were saying, by the time you realize that your tree is grown, your roots have to be tended to.
C
Yeah.
B
What we can we go back to the root.
C
Yeah, go ahead.
A
Go ahead.
B
Because underneath the ground, what you cannot see is dirt. What kind of dirt is it? Rocky dirt. Are there moles? You know, animals going, are there snakes? Are there worms? You got to realize, I'm, I'm, I'm. I'm from West Texas. I was working in the yard today. Deep down at the bottom of the soil, sometimes it can be rocky, but it takes water to break it up. I'm not going to even bother. I. I know I'm thinking about Moses. I'm not going to even stop.
A
I want to bother it.
B
Come on.
A
Here's why I want to bother.
B
Talk to me.
A
Because in the snakes, in the rocky point, in the moles and whatever happened, you got to be able to grow around mess. Stop thinking you going to grow in a great place. Sometimes God wants you to grow in darkness. You want to be the tree before you want to address the roots. He said, grow down before you grow up.
C
So the sycamine tree could grow in any condition, any condition. It didn't matter what the condition was, where the place was. That's why it was growing outside of Jericho and it was growing strong, because it could grow in any condition. And even though it had sand on his branches and the sand was causing it to make another tree, it would still fit the condition. The problem with this is that our souls want to fit the wrong conditions. And we need the Holy Ghost to help us find the right conditions. And if we can't, if we don't have the Holy Ghost, which is the power and the healing and the deliverance of your soul,
A
stop worrying about the condition. And God, I want this. He said, no, just grow. Grow where you are planted. I have put you there. Grow in every condition. Maybe the condition he has you in is the right fertilizer you need to help you grow. If he puts it somewhere else. And the problem with some of us look at other people's stuff and say, oh, it's better over there. The grass is greener on the other side, it may be greener and it may cost more to keep up. And you may can't afford to build to have that green of a grass. Or maybe it's turf and not real grass. Maybe you need to grow where you're planted and where God had you and stop being envious of other people's stuff and say, God cut me for the season that I need to be in so I could be like the sycamore tree and let me grow where you want me to grow. Stop worrying about other people's.
C
Okay, we got a question.
A
We got a question. We have a question. Oh, my goodness. Okay, so I'm going to read the question. How do you break soul ties, whether sexual, mental or spiritual manipulation. How do you break soul ties?
B
I think the how do you break soul ties? Whether it is sexual, mental, spiritual manipulation or any type of soul tie is going back to the tree we mentioned the root. It is the root of the tree. Why do you let everybody prophesy and speak into your life? Why do you. I can't say that. This is not a man's conference. Why do you find yourself in the arms of multiple lovers in different seasons of your life and then blame them them for you giving access to something that you should have highly regarded and valued yourself? Why is it that you don't see who you are and what. What I started thinking about in terms of the root. Dr. Dr. Val began to mention the sand. We talked about the rocks underneath for some of a reason. And it's going to tie to the question, I think about Moses. You will remember that God told Moses to speak, speak to the rock first. Then water came out. The next time, Excuse me, he told him to actually hit the rock. Then water came out. Excuse me, that's the first time. The second time he says, speak to the rock. When you are planting, there are things you have to move out of the way. There's sometimes things that you have to beat and then there's sometimes where you need to really be speaking over that tree. They do scientific experiments whereby voice of words to trees either make the tree green or brown by the words that were spoken. And so my question is, are you in the right season of speaking or are you in the right season of doing the action that you need to do? Because when the question is, how do you break the soul tie? We don't want the soul tie to be broken because you'll go back. We want this to be destroyed. It is destroyed by first internally, you building your root so that you can discern and recognize when different sexual, mental or spiritual manipulation is present. Then your mind is strong enough to say, will I participate or will I consecrate?
A
That's really excellent. I also add to that and say, don't think you're going to break it or destroy it once, because once you destroy it one time, oh, it's coming back. Make sure your soul now is tied to the word of God. So when it does come back, as the Bible says, the enemy comes back, but he comes back this Time with seven. So in other words, he's not by himself, so he's okay when you broke it the first time. But what he realizes if I come back, I can't come back by myself. So I got to bring seven other with me, because you might defeat me by myself. So if that's the case, that means now you're a threat. And if me being free is a threat, I have to make sure my roots are grounded in the word of God. So when he comes back with his eight, I got a word that can now destroy another eight. Because when the eight leave, they gonna come back with seven more as well. So you see what I mean? So it's a continual thing to make sure that you're feeding your soul over and over and over again. Because now the soul tie you had, now you'll find yourself rooted and soul tied in the word of God.
C
So I want to add to that by saying that I feel in my, from my perspective that we put too much responsibility on the person, on us as flesh, as humans. That's why the Holy Ghost came, so that what we cannot do, the Holy Ghost has the power to break and destroy what we cannot do. And I think our questions. And to my sister who's asking the question about breaking soul ties, it's not your responsibility. What your responsibility is, is to get in front of God, go down and worship, because God can do what you cannot do, and that's break a soul tie. Because a soul tie is the soul, the deepest, rootest thing in mankind. And we don't have the power alone to do it. If we did, we wouldn't need the Holy Ghost. But the Holy Ghost comes to destroy the works of the devil, the flesh, and it walks alongside us or in us now, right? He's in us, working through us, taking out of us those things we don't have the power alone to do. We cannot discredit the power of the Holy Ghost, okay? Because there are some things we just cannot do.
B
And there's another question as I'm kind of perusing through our YouTube. First of all, Tisha, you, you, the Lord must really love you because he gave you sound wisdom and advice. And all of us, whether we are pastors, bishops, pastors, whoever, that, it's. It's a blessing to be on a stage and all that. But don't ever think that we never had to wrestle with our soul or breaking a soul tie, having to yield to God. There was a question in YouTube that was talking about, how do you discern? How do you Determine God consciousness. Bathing. Dr. Crumpton. Hit it. Bathing yourself in the word of God. Bathing your mind in the word of God consistently. Therefore, when you get ready to speak, all of a sudden, the scripture will come up. A worship will come up. A, a, a, a saying you heard in church will come up. This is reprogramming your mind and reinstituting fertilization to the root. Our roots have to be fertilized.
C
Cuz if Jesus. I'm sorry.
A
No, no, go ahead.
C
Cuz if, if the devil tempted Jesus, you got to know he's going to tempt us. Mean, I mean, it stands to reason he tempted Jesus. He had no shame in his game. He went to Jesus and Jesus said, man shall not live by bread alone. But by every word that proceeded out of the mouth, he was able to have a comeback. You know what I'm saying? Although he is God and he has the power, but as man, he was tempted at all points, just like we were. But he didn't sin because he realized the power on the inside of him. And when you realize you got the power on the inside of you, then it'll make a difference in how you approach certain issues and conditions of the soul that.
A
Listen, that's so good. And it's amazing how all of this has to do with the roots, the tree.
C
Yeah.
A
Being planted in the right place. This is how we take care of our soul.
C
That's right.
A
This is an exercise, regimen and spirituality on how we build our soul. How do you do this? And you don't. You don't get God consciousness in one prayer.
C
Right.
A
It is a repetitive thing over and over and over. You know, my sheep will know my voice in the strength he's. And I know your voice, and you'll know his voice because of one conversation. You consistently stay with the Holy Ghost. You consistently do that. And I think that's one of the things we're missing, is you've got to have that consistency when it comes to prayer life. And I didn't say perfection because he said, he talked about. Pastor Darby said you had, like, you ain't struggling in a while. I have not struggled in a while. Not since earlier today. Nope, not since earlier today. I didn't struggle in a while. It's been, it's been a while. It's been a while since earlier today. You know, I had that fight in my head and that's, that's the thing I did. And I had to go into my mind and say, wait a minute, hold on. Wait, wait, wait a Minute, wait a minute. You know too much of the word of God. You know too much to be sitting here dealing with this. Okay, God, what are you trying to teach me in this? He says every now and then I have to show you that you can fight against the enemy and to show you that you still win. And oftentimes God will send us tester matches just to remind us. Hey, hey, hey. You know who you are, right? You know, this is an exhibition fight, because it's a real fight coming. But I just want to make sure your mind is right. So just that's my perspective. As we relate to the consciousness of God, that is a consistent relationship.
B
I agree with you 800%. I'm a little bit jealous because all while I was getting ready to walk up here, I'm having to cast down things.
A
At least mine was earlier today.
B
Okay, okay. And. And part of that question, in terms of God consciousness, how do you stay. Stay connected to it? How do you access it? You have free access every day, all day, to the word of God. You have free access to prayer. Man ought to always pray. Somebody do me a favor. Put the prayer hands in the chat and not to faint. This is going to take some work, ladies and gentlemen. This is going to take you minding your soul or mining M I n I n g your soul excavated, Dig it up. And if you notice, it was the water around the roots that blessed me. But Pastor Don is a tree expert, so I am going to pass the baton to the tree. Listen. No, he's been preaching to me about this tree for the last two weeks. We've been talking about it. Y'.
A
All.
B
Y' all have no idea.
A
I have. I am not a tree expert. My wife love trees. Different designs, how they made the calorie season, and she just loved it. That tree is this. That tree is this. But no matter what state, city, country we in, we've noticed before that a tree can be the same color, but the leaves are different. Which means it had to be something significant about the leaves. Watch this. Give me Psalms. Psalms 1. There is a neglected part in Psalms 1 that we oftentimes overlooked. It says, and you shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth fruit in the season and whose leaves are not within. What's help we do shall prosper. We always talk about prosper and fruit season, but we kind of overlook. Your leaves will not wither. Your leaves will not. Why did he mention your leaves won't wither?
B
Work it, preacher.
A
Which means the leaves must Be important. There has to be something about the leaves.
B
If.
A
If you would do me a favor. Put. Put. Now, my Picture's not like Dr. Cruncher picture, but put my picture up on the screen, please. It. I found this out through the studying of leaves. I thought the leaves just were meant to shade and color. I mean, to shade the fruit. But I found out that's not all leaves do that. Leaves provide nutrients for the fruit. Okay, so. So leaves capture sunlight, captures carbon monoxide, converts it into carbohydrates, which is sugar, and provides it for the fruit. So the leaves provide nutrients for the sweetness of the fruit. So the leaves just don't color it provides how sweet it is. Okay, let me repeat that again. So when he said, your leaves shall not wither, he's saying, the very thing that makes you sweet. The very thing, the essence of the Holy Ghost that makes you sweet, it won't wither. See, you're too busy about being prosperous and worried about the outside. I'm worried about the inside of man. So you need leaves to do that. He said, your leaves are not going to wither. So not only does it provide sweetness, it also provides protection. Just in case it's too hot. We don't need the fruit to dry up too soon. So the leaves create a shade. Wait a minute. Is that Psalms 91:1? Is that not under the shadow? Wait a minute. So then the Holy Ghost is a leaf. And I'm thinking about like, wait a minute. So if my leaf is on with its protection, it is nourishment. It is also strength. Okay, here's what a leaf does. It provides strength, so the fruit cannot fall before it's time. Okay, so when the fruit wants to get down, the leaves say, not yet. Does that sound like the Holy Ghost that says, wait a minute, I know you want to get it, but it's not your time yet? I know, I know you praying about it, but it's not your time yet. I know, I know you desire, but it's not the. Your time yet. Watch, because all. All of the substance that's needed to convert to carbohydrates, it's not time for it just yet. But can. Can you put my. The three points up there for me just in case you want to take a snapshot of what it is that I found out that a leaf absolutely does absolutely blow my mind. It supplies carbohydrates.
C
It.
A
It is what makes it necessary to make you ripe. It makes sure that you're necessary. It makes you ripe, he says, and your Leaves shall not wither. In other words, the thing that you're going to need in the season that you have not produced yet. I'm going to make sure it doesn't wither away. I'm going to make sure it doesn't go away. I know you're going to feel like, why haven't I fallen off the tree yet? All the other fruits. But he said, it's not your season yet. But I'm going to make sure that your time is right and your season is right. Why? Because you decided that my leaves are not going to wither. Wait a minute, Preacher, I just had a revelation. Is that the problem that God has with Adam and Eve? Listen, they cut the leaves and tried to cover the fruit.
B
I'm done. I'm going home.
A
And God is saying, no, no, no, no. You got it out of order. Because cutting a tree is not what I need to cover your fruit. You got to understand the fruit of sacrifice. So I'm gonna have to shed blood. And blood is going to be what covers you. Okay. Is that Exodus. And the blood shall cover you. Put the blood on the doorpost. Put the sacrifice and cover you. He says, wait a minute. I'm trying to cover the fruit. So when you think about leaves, it's not just meant to be the leaves that are shade. So here. But here, here. Here's the shady part that my brother did not eloquently so tell you all in the midst of our conversation. If you ever look at a leaf, y' all gonna look at trees differently now.
C
Yeah.
A
If you ever look at a leaf, a leaf has veins in it.
C
Yeah.
A
Which means the substance goes from the tree through the leaves to the fruit. Isn't that just like your heart and your body, it carries the blood throughout the body. Wait a minute. Is that not like what Christ does when he dies for us on the cross? He shed his blood and his blood reaches us. So now the leaves now become metaphorically like our body. And God is saying, I'm setting the leaves up like your body, where the veins run through it to get to the fruit to have everything you need. So maybe that's why a problem he had with the fig tree, because he said, you have what should be producing, but it's not. I provided the tree and the veins, but there's no fruit from it.
C
Yeah. The leaves were there, right?
B
The leaves were there.
A
The leaves were there.
B
He cursed the tree. And here is the problem about the tree being cursed, because as a tree, it's like, why are you producing those Leaves in this season. This is like those who don't budget. I've been. I know what it's like not to budget, to try to get something that I cannot afford to look better than my financial situation. I wish y' all would leave me out here by myself. I will prophesy your bank account. I will call on Wells, Chase, bank of America, and everybody else. Here is the problem with the tree. It was producing fakeness. The leaves green, but no fruit. And the reason I stepped in to try and tag team with this, because when you were talking about that and. And you went to the garden. The first death. We often as preachers, we talk about the first death being God killed an innocent animal and then he covered Adam and Eve with the coats of skins. You guys do know that it's around Genesis 3:15 or so, okay. But the first death was committed by Adam and Eve when they snatched the leaves from a tree. They then killed the source. Anytime you snatch a leaf from its source, then, now you killed the leaves. So the first atrocity comes in the death of the leaves. They were covering themselves with green leaves, all the while walking away from the presence of. Of God while the leaves are going from green to brown. And I started thinking about the power of the leaf. The power.
A
You.
B
You talked about it. And I started thinking about all the people that influenced us when we were younger. And you're mad at somebody who might have abused you in a particular way, dominated you in a particular way. But what you don't understand is that that leaf is being judged. Can we get into it for a moment? Can we get into it for a moment? Because you can grow new leaves, but what happens to the leaf after it's pulled off? It dies. The tree can continue to produce other leaves. What I'm trying to articulate to you is that you're no longer living in the house. You're no longer connected to the person. You're no longer in the relationship. You got new leaves, new relationship, new jobs, new opportunities. And the old leaves have withered away. Let me make it plain as they. Have you ever gone back and look at your ex's picture? Or maybe you saw them in the mall. You saw them on Facebook, Instagram. You said, how in the world did I ever. I know. I know. Y' all gonna leave me out here by myself. What was I thinking? What was wrong with my soul at the time? I must not have been taking care of my soul. It's because you have now grown. You have hydrated you yourself. You have renewed your Mind, you've worked on your roots, and now you're producing new leaves that look nothing like the leaves that you were connected to.
A
And this time your leaves won't wither. And this time your leaves won't wither. And sometimes God would create a storm to kill old leaves so you can grow new leaves because another purpose of a leaf is to camouflage you. And sometimes we got to be able to hide from the enemy because we know our own self. Okay, maybe you don't know you, but I know me enough. I know me enough that I thank God that my enemies. I think. Oh, I said, like, I really want to say it. Can I say it?
B
Like, come on, come on.
A
My enemies thank God that God saved me. Okay, maybe that ain't your story. Maybe that's not your story. Deliverance only belong for me. Maybe it only belonged for me.
B
Between the lines, y'. All, come on.
A
My enemies, oh, God, are praised because I know me. And if me ever fell to the old filter of the old leaves of the old me, God, please let the old me stay converted. Please let the old me stay in the old place, because I don't need that old vein tied to me. Because if the old man decided to raise, if God ever gave me 30 seconds to do what I ever wanted to do, God, please keep me dead. I don't want a whole minute. Give me 30 seconds. And here's what I found out. I found out even in the conversion of that old me, God will create a. A uncomfortable season to where he creates a new timeline for my prosperity. And in that timeline, my prosperity. I'm not mad at somebody else's timeline. I may not fall from the tree quickly as you do, but my time is coming. And I want to prophesy to somebody today that you've been under the tree long enough that God said your time is going to come soon enough. Don't worry about everybody else. Your fruit season is coming soon enough. He says, I'm just making sure that you're connected to the leaves, and your leaves will not wither in this season. Stop thinking that the condition has anything to do with your connection. God says you're connected to me and you're going to grow in this season. I said what we said we weren't going to do this.
C
No, that's the good thing about the sycamore tree, that it can grow in any condition. And it doesn't matter what's on drops a branch or it'll drop a leaf and it'll grow a new tree.
A
Okay, God I'm about to throw this towel because you said, it doesn't matter what it is. The next clause of that text says, and whatsoever you do, shout. Whatever you do, whatever you do, whatever
B
you grow, because whatever you roots, you. You got the roots. Roots in the right source, you. Pastor Dunn, you just actually answered. Really? I think one of our questions. Yeah, Amanda, your question is if someone has been baptized and then strays away from the faith.
C
Yeah.
B
Or their faith, how do they return to Jesus? Do they need to be baptized again? Or can they simply ask for forgiveness?
A
Well, you ain't got to be baptized again.
B
If you confess your faults, one to another, you. You may be healed. It's okay, Jesus. We call on him every day, all day long. Omg.
A
I think one of the things that we. We. And I don't say we as us. I think the church community has created is almost this sense of dogma that none of us make mistakes.
C
Yeah.
A
That none of us have done anything wrong.
C
Yeah.
A
And. And. And my issue with that, if somebody said, well, I've never done anything wrong. Women think you thought it for real. You've done something. You all have sinned to come short of the glory of God. And to imply, because I've messed up, God now cuts off access, doesn't make him a loving God. He says, I need you to understand. You cannot out evil. My goodness.
C
That's what he did in the garden.
A
Exactly.
C
When Adam and Eve had messed up up, they went running and he went looking for him. They couldn't get away from his presence. I don't care what you've done. You can't get away from his presence. He's looking for you to come look. You don't have to be baptized again. Just know he's looking for you wherever you run. David said I can go to the belly of hell. He's there.
B
Wherever.
C
Wherever you are. He looking for you.
A
As a matter of fact, he appreciates you even asking the question.
C
Yeah.
A
Your question says he's looking for you.
C
He said, thank you because I've been looking for you.
A
Wait a minute, Thomas. Isn't that Luke 15 where the father sits at the house waiting for.
B
Don't talk about the prodigal.
A
Come on. To come home.
B
Come on.
A
The Bible says he is sitting there waiting on the son to come home.
B
Waiting.
A
If he's waiting on the son to come home, he's not worried about what's happening in the house. He's worried about the son that comes home. But here's what's crazy to me. About that scripture. The Bible says, the son has made up in his mind. When I get home, I'mma tell my daddy, hey, yo, I'm a mess. Let me be a servant. The father runs to the son. Catch this. And kisses the son. Okay, I'm going. Say it again. The father runs to the son and kisses the son. Wait a minute. If we back up a few verses. He was in the pig pen.
C
Yeah.
A
There is nowhere that says he washed off before he went home.
C
Yeah.
A
Which means the father kissed and dirty.
B
Preach, man.
A
When he says, I will take you like you are.
B
Preach, man.
A
Messed up, jacked up, smoked up. I don't care where you been. If you can find your way Acting like you coming back home. He said, I'll beat you to grace.
C
And that's love.
A
That's love.
C
That's love. Oh, my gosh. Regardless of what you've done, God loves you.
B
God doesn't care what you've done or who you did it with. That's people. And your own ego of your prideful self. But if you would open up your heart to God, you would find out that the prodigal son story, Luke 15. The father says, go kill the fatted calf. I'm throwing my son a party.
C
A big party.
B
Could it be possible that God is waiting on you to open your. Your heart up to throw you a party? He's waiting on you to confess. To throw you a party. I want to show you all something, but I want to let you know that we don't just have questions online. Any question in the audience? If you have a question, we've got these amazing deacons to my left and my right. You can come to the microphone and ask your question. I want to articulate to you that I believe it's about a heart posture.
C
Posture.
A
Absolutely. Absolutely.
B
We. We may or may not show you one more clip. It's a heart posture TV fam team. If you all have the image of the heart that ties in and looks like Pastor Don's leave, I could. Pastor Don preached to me so much earlier today that I had to go find this slide. If you look at the heart, it literally resembles a leaf.
C
Y' all better work this tonight.
B
Look at the veins. You can see the top. You can see the four ventricles. You can see the aorta, blood pumping to and fro throughout the heart. The only thing that can stop the flow of your heart is you. The question is, will you open up your heart to God to allow these veins to be filled with his love?
A
Do you know I'm so glad you put that picture up there. That not only the purpose of the heart is to pump the vein through, but that the blood carries oxygen throughout the body. So the oxygen that is carried throughout the body is needed so the body can prosper and grow. So what God is saying, I put blood in you so you can make sure that you can live. Which now ties the line to when the man is bitten by a snake in Acts, when the Bible says he shook it off, when he should have swollen up and died. But according to the traditional way, the venom should have got in his hand, in his bloodstream. Because when the venom gets in your bloodstream, it now flows through your body. So he hits it. He hits a vessel in your hand that it should flow through the body. But the only way he doesn't die is the blood has to reject what the venom put in. Okay. Okay. So every now and then, the blood reject every venom bite that the enemy. I'm just. I'm just, just drawing a correlation to the vein that you put up there of why we need the leaves and why we need the trees. That because you will be snake bit, smitten, you will be talked about. But God said the blood is going to keep on flowing. You can keep on talking, they can talk about you, but the blood is going to keep on flowing. And I have a sneaky suspicion there are some people that have been talked about that you've been in a bad place. But God said your blood just keeps on flowing. And they try to figure out how you still making it. Baby, you don't even know how you still making it, but the blood just keep on flowing. How do you get where you are? I have no idea. I can't explain it. All I know is that the blood keep on flowing. How do you get it? I don't know. All I know is the blood keep on flowing. Do you deserve it? Nope, I don't deserve it. But the blood just keep on flowing because there's something about the blood. There's something that.
C
Okay, it reaches.
A
There's something good. God.
B
Y' all see how we do in our spare time?
A
Yeah.
B
Can't see he's talking about that. Nurture. Go ahead.
A
No, no, I say, because he's talking about that. Because one thing we often do is we equate prosperity to God blessing us. No. Sometimes you could be going through something. And that's a blessing.
C
That's a blessing.
A
I'm uncomfortable in the season. God is blessing you. Why? Because he's strengthening you. Stop making God like Santa Claus, like, it has to be a tangible blessing that he gives you. That mean God is blessing you? No. You can have a brand new car and still be cursed.
C
David said said, it was good that I was afflicted.
A
It was good.
C
I. That's the only way I was able to learn his statutes was that I was afflicted.
B
But I think our problem, Dr. Val, is we want testimonies without test.
C
Absolutely.
A
Yeah. Yeah.
B
We want great opportunity without opposition. And when God makes you a message, typically it's because you've been through a mess.
C
Yeah, yeah.
B
If there are no any questions, I don't want to. Did you have some. Oh, no, no. If there are any. If. If there are not any in house questions, we're gonna go to a clip that talks about the love of God. I need you to really hone in on this spirit, pushing PT In a direction where I think we should go. What does the soul need to flourish?
A
What does the soul need to return, to turn back, to be restored.
B
What does the soul need? The soul needs agape. Say hello to Mia.
C
Hey there.
B
Mia runs a pet grooming service in Chicago. But getting new clients was rough until

I started using AK Acast. I recorded my ad, targeted pet owners in the area and let ACAST do the rest. Now people all over the city know about my grooming services.

track with me to be healed. And for those of you don't know, I know most of you do.
B
Agape is God's love. It's God's love.
A
It's unshakable. It is not dependent upon the actions of the subject upon which it is set.
C
It just is.
A
It is not flexible. It doesn't bend. It doesn't. It's not diminished when it is not reciprocated. It is static. It is standard.
C
It is settled.
A
It is it. It's unshakable.
B
It can't go anywhere. When Paul talks about how Ephesians, I
A
believe it's Ephesians chapter three. When he talks about my prayer, he says my prayer. So one guy's praying, as he calls
B
you beloved, that your soul would prosper and that everything else will prosper.
A
Another guy, Paul, is praying that the eyes of your understanding might be enlightened. And ultimately, that you might know what is the width, the lift, the height, the depth, to know the love of
B
Christ which passes all knowledge.
A
Watch this. That you might be filled with all
B
the fullness of God.
A
In other words, he's saying that this
B
God love, this agape, is so powerful
A
and it's so amazing and it is
B
so wonderful that if you get a
A
revelation of it, you will literally be
B
filled with all the fullness of God. I love to preach. I love to jump. I love to shout. But I also love to just receive. Raise your hand if you could just feel the love of God when you saw that clip, you could put a hand in the chat. It is the love of God. All of us are searching and seeking just to be loved. This is why when we come in church, it is important. Sometimes I'll walk by, fist bump somebody, hug them. You may not feel comfortable with a hug. It's okay to say hello because all of us, we just want to be loved. We just want to be loved. The leaves are in my head because the leaves are a sign of the love that God had for the tree. Because it is the leaves that actually inhale carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen, whereby we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. I need somebody next to me that is exhale, inhaling and exhaling at a different time where I'm actually flowing in love with my God. Can we do a quick exercise? Would you hug the person next to you? Is that okay? Would you shake their hand? Would you dap them up? It's love. It's love. Can we give God praise for just love? Yeah, just love. It's everlasting love. I think my sister has a question here.
A
Question?
B
If you could come to the aisle.
A
Yeah.
B
We like to memorize faces and tell us your name.
C
So Lee for short. I'm not really sure how to ask this question.
A
Ask it the best way you can.
B
It's okay.
A
It's okay.
C
So I am doing a lot of soul work. And as I journey through life, just building this greater connection with God. And so I'm noticing lately when I sit in quiet time in the morning, I've been feeling this pull to just stay there. But when you have to get up and do other things, it's like, what do I do? So what do I do
A
so Well,
C
I was just gonna say, because you have a life, and God honors the life that you have, that you set aside the time, so make it a time thing. And I tell my students when they're writing dissertations or doing project Research, you write one hour a day and put it down. Write one hour. Although you are tempted to do more, write four or five hours. Do one hour a day, and you'll be more productive in that one hour than you would if you sat there for five and got writer's block. So in as it relates to your worship time, rather than just, I know you want to sit there, you know, but take in that 15, 30 minutes that you set aside, set that same side of time, that same time aside every day, and you'll be more productive in the time that you set aside than if you just want to stay there and not do everything else. Because you, you're still a responsible human being and you still have other things to do. And God honors that. In fact, your relationship with God doesn't stop when your time is up. It keeps going. You just go on with life. And he's walking, the Paraclete is walking alongside inside you as you continue. You just started your day or ended your night and you're not missing a thing.
A
That is so good. And I'll just add a little bit of a spiritual side to it and do exactly what she said. But also, maybe God is igniting another level of hungering you to want to be in his presence. Maybe it wasn't 15 minutes. Maybe God wants 30 minutes now. So now 30 minutes, walk with him, talk with him, take him in the car to go, go through your normal human responsibilities. But God also creates a hunger and the desire to want to be at Him. And he could be tapping into your hunger and say, want more of me. Won't want, want more of me.
C
Thank you, guys.
B
Did you have a follow up clarity? Are you okay on that? Does that make sense to you?
A
I.
C
So yes, that was great answers, I think, because it's not every time that I feel like I need to stay. Right. But sometimes in certain moments I feel like I move too fast.
A
Okay, so you like these are like moments. It's not like every day.
C
Not every, no. But in these moments, it's kind of like this. Such a quietness and peace is like, just stay there. But I, I don't just physically stay there. And what, whatever that, that piece is, I don't know how to explain it really.
B
I think here's, here's what I hear. What I hear is God is training me. And I don't want to disappoint him. Because when the spirit settles on me, not only is there peace, there is stillness. And the moment I move away, I feel a disconnect from the space and the place that I was in. Am I hitting it okay? I feel you. It's deep. I want to go natural, then spiritual on a natural side. Be very careful that you don't overwork yourself for his presence and his love. Because sometimes that comes from a deeper place where we have disappointed people or we felt like we disappointed ourselves, our parents, and we were made to think you moved too soon. You did this out of order. God is not like anything in your past. God is not like parents. God is not like relationships. You can flow with him. One of the things that we don't always teach in church is the unction of the Holy Ghost. The Bible says, ye have an unction with the Holy One, which means you've got this right rhythm, this internal spiritual instinct to move in and out of green pastures. You will notice that Moses went up to the mountain, but it's like God would kick him out. He couldn't just live on the mountain. He had to go down and still deal with people. Dr. Val gave you some great info. This is why the text says in the Gospels, Jesus sought God early in the morning with no distractions, and then he went on about his day. Give yourself permission to catch God again, to flow again. You have not left anything out. God is omnipresent. He's everywhere, all the time, at the same anytime. God is ubiquitous. He'll flow wherever you are.
C
Can I add this to that? And then we'll move on. We got some more questions. I. I want to say I. I am so deeply saddened that there's a generation that did that does not know how to flow with God and flow naturally at the same time. We've. Because of the new generation that talks about meditation and yoga and all these different things, the generations now don't know how to live holy and walk naturally at the same time. What is it? Chew gum and something all at the walk and chew gum, Right? Because what you got to understand is God is in you. And when God is in you, wherever you walk, wherever you go, he's always directing and giving you wisdom. So the time that you set aside is to say either good morning or good evening or how do we do this today? How do we partner today, as Bishop says? And. And then you continue to live, walk it out. You walk out life with God, right? You don't put him aside to continue your day. You're walking with him all day long, and. And he walks with me and he talks with me all day long. And I think we've robbed. We've robbed. We have robbed this generation of understanding how to walk and chew gum. And so I'm sorry. I apologize, because I want y' all to be able to walk and chew gum. I want you to walk with Jesus while you're doing natural things.
B
Beautiful.
A
That's so beautiful. I saw the young lady hop up, and I thought, oh, man.
B
Beautiful. Bless you.
A
Yes, ma'. Am.
C
As a student who's in high school,
A
I'm 15 years old.
C
I'm a sophomore. I was wondering, how does working on your soul, like, with our age and our generation, like, how could we do that with the stuff that happens, happens around us?
B
Oh, my God. I love that.
C
So good.
B
I love that. First of all, can we give her a hand for her courage, her bravery, her sincere heart?
A
That's a great question.
B
The first thing is connecting with our firehouse youth ministry. Our firehouse youth ministry. Pastor Ty and Pastor Ren and I had a little time over there. I love our teenagers. I believe you're the best and the brightest. I believe you should be able to stand on our shoulders so you can see further and go further. Now when I say connecting with firehouse, you're going to find some young people that are on fire for God just like you are and want to really please God. To Dr. Val's point, here's what has happened. We meant to help encourage and push you all along generationally. We went from certifications in technology to now AI and then we begin to put things from quadratic formulas to algorithms. And therefore, what happened is technology created so many different categories. And so when you open your phone, you have at least the five basics you've got. Where y' all think Facebook is for opinion people, so it's okay. You don't have to. I know y' all think Facebook's for old people. You're on Tik Tok. You're on IG, you're on Twitch. You're on YouTube. You're on so many different streaming platforms. One of the ways that you tap in is you have to decide what is important to you.
C
Yeah.
B
And what I'm hearing is God is so important to you. What I'm hearing is out of all, all these hundreds of people and thousands watching online, God gave you the courage to be a leader and to ask this questions to purify all of our hearts. Because now you have challenged all of us to say, how in the world do I see God with all of this going on? I've got kids. I've. Listen, monitor, screen time. Can I give some basics you know what I'm talking about? Monitor that screen time so that it turns off after an hour, whatever you decide to set. The other thing is, first thing, when you get up, as opposed to checking the phone, check your heart posture with the master. Say simple things like, thank you, Jesus, for waking me up. God, I bless you, Lord, I love you. You are amazing. You're stupendous. You're fabulous. Oh my God, thank you for the breath in my body, God, thank you for a roof over my head. Thank you for all that's going on. Thank you that I. I have an opportunity to go to school while other children are living in various situations and countries. Thank God for simple stuff like being able to breathe. A heart, a liver, a lungs, tissue. Thank him for the basics. Start your day with a. With a posture of prayer. This doesn't mean that it has to be for hours. You can start for five minutes, absolutely 10 minutes. And then it's going to grow. And then when you go play basketball, volleyball, track, when you hang out with your friends, you're going to start having this rhythm in your head. They're going to be saying things, you know, you do TikTok dance, you do a little video. Okay, TikTok. Okay. Some. Some of your friends do, right? Oh, you like? No, that's not my lane.
A
I want to.
B
But while you're doing different things, the word of God is going to be playing in your mind. This thing is not easily obtained, but it is easily gained.
C
Yeah.
B
So it's not something you grab like a badge, but you gain it in your momentum and your growth with God. You're going to be amazing. You're going to be stupendous. God is going to use you mightily to shake this world because your heart's right. Can we give God glory?
C
Well, hold.
A
I want to ask you something. Are you. Do you participate in any sports? Any.
B
Yeah, I do volleyball and track.
A
You do volleyball and track? So our middle boy, track, football and good stuff. And one day I tried to get him to eat some bad food. Just joking. He said, dad, why would you try to get me to eat that? He says, you wouldn't put cheap gas in an expensive car, would you? And I was like, no. But I saw that spiritually and I'm saying this to you, be careful what you eat. And I don't mean physically, I mean spiritually. Watch what you let your eyes see. Screen time. Yeah, but even with friends, your eye gates and your ear gates are going to be really, really, really important. And since you're an athlete, you watch what you eat. Do that same principle spiritually. Ah, you know what? I had my daily dose of breakfast this morning. Okay, I can't eat that. My friends going out, I can't eat that. So that doesn't. That will make you different, but it also make you important.
C
And it said. And. And they're talking about monitoring your screen, screen time, but monitor what you watch. So. So change what you watch. There are so many sermons out there. And even if you watch Pastor Sarah and PT in those times, even if you don't cut it off, go to sleep on us on a message, go to sleep on a sermon, it will bless your soul because you'll wake up speaking in tongues. You'll wake up saying, thank you, Jesus, if you feed your soul what you get up doing. Have you ever. Have y' all ever woke, waking up? What's the word?
A
Woke up, Woke up.
C
Have you ever woke up in the middle of the night speaking in tongues? I mean, because of what you went to sleep on or. Or whatever's in your spirit, it wakes you up in the middle of the night and you wake up and you speak it in tongues and you praying that's what you want. And that happens when you watch what you put inside of you. And so just be careful what you watch, what you watch, what you listen to, your ear gate, your eye gate, all of the gates. Take care of your gates and you'll be all right.
A
Bless you. Yes, ma'.
C
Am. Yes, good evening. I just want to thank you all for such great wishes, wisdom, you all downloading unto us. Real quick backstory. So I started ministry at such a young age. I was on my bear to my pastor and first lady and traveled a lot. Didn't really have that teenage life. So then youth director. So once the church, it's not like church fight, right? So once the pastors went through separation, divorce, also being their goddaughter, being having that pool, it was such a pool for me. So it caused great a form of depression in that sense because I've been with the ministry for. For years and so overcame that. And I knew it was my season to move. So I did moved to a lot of different states due to military and things of that sort. So I would go to church and serve, never commit after that. Like, okay, so once I moved, I would go to a church, serve, do all of that, and just didn't commit. Then I moved to another church and serve and moved to a different church. And it was. It was a continual thing. What's Your question we can move on. Yes. My question is having that soul fulfillment and things of that sort where I just want the transparency as to for where is the lack or that commitment or making sure that it's not a fear underlining in that where it trigger in other areas of my life.
B
I will say, and my colleagues have probably better answers. The moment you stood up, I felt everything you were about to talk about. Because the purity of baby girl 15 over here awakened the little girl in you. As soon as you got up, I could see it almost everything you've gone through. It's okay to pause and say, perhaps my soul was injured, perhaps even though I said I've forgiven and I love and I tried not to pick sides, I'm really deep down having an issue with trusting again. This is an indirect battle of the soul.
C
Yeah.
B
And I think you have to take time enough to be fully healed in that area. Because may I ask you, did you grow up with mom and dad?
C
Yes. Both parents in the home.
B
Okay, so you grew up with mom and dad, but you saw your former pastors also as like mom and dad or spiritual father, spiritual mother. And what happens is when they break up? I have often seeing the church break up. And then so there's a breaking in the soul and the mind for love. And I think in this season it's okay to pause and be honest and to say, lord, help me to trust again. But before the trust comes, lord, heal my soul. Because I none of what you said. I didn't hear you say it hurt. It was tough. I felt abandoned. It was like a dream, shattering. And then I also see it's almost like the weight of the church and the other people they used to minister to fell on you.
C
And I want to add to that, that is. That is a clinical form of trauma. And we would introduce you, if you will, to our counseling department because it is a form of trust trauma. I grew up in the church. I've been in church all my life, other than the times that I jumped out a minute. But I was hurt in church. So I understand the trauma of church hurt. There is a such thing as church hurt, and that may be what you are still experiencing because it's difficult for you to connect. It's difficult, difficult for you to become a part of. You're going through something that you need help for. And we can still pray for your soul.
A
It's amazing that you asked that question. And I'm so sorry because I know. I heard when you asked the question, I heard it wasn't just you that's walking in seasons of hurt. If there are. If there's anyone else in here, it doesn't have to be her situation. But right now, life has hurt you. Life has hurt you situation. Your job, your spouse, your family. If that is you, if that is you, I want you to come down here to this altar. We want to pray real quick because your soul has to be healthy. If that is you, I don't care who we're talking to. I don't care what it is. I don't care what happened. I don't care what you're dealing with. I don't care. Pastor, right now, I'm in a season of hurt. I'm hurting and I can't explain it. Catch this. You could be hurting and still working in ministry. Pastor, I'm hurt. I'm hurt. There's seasons in my life. I can't articulate it. I can't really say it. And if the truth be told, I really want to scream and holler and cry and shout and cuss and tear something up and just wreak havoc everywhere because I'm hurting. I'm hurting and I can't even articulate it. I don't know. Sometimes I want to cry. Sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy. Sometimes I can't express it. Sometimes I feel like I'm just about to lose my mind. I've just been hurting. Pastor, you may be online and talking to you and you may feel that. Pastor, I need you to pray for me. Just type prayer, pray for me in the comments. Type pray for me. Type pray for me. But those who are in here, please stand with me. Stand with me. Everybody standing and everyone standing. Everyone standing. As she was talking, I thought to myself, how many people won't even have the strength to say, I'm hurt. I'm hurt. I'm hurt because what they did to me. I'm hurt because they walked away. I'm hurt because of what happened. I'm hurt because the job didn't work out. I'm hurt because the situation didn't work out. I'm hurt because I had expectations and the thing didn't happen. I thought this was going to work, but this didn't happen. I thought this would happen, but this didn't happen. And oftentimes we allow the enemy too much input. We allow the enemy to continue to talk to us. And then now trauma kicks in. And what happens when trauma kicks in? We find ourselves repetitively running away from commitment, running away from things that God wants To bless us. And it's uncomfortable and it's hurting. And I want to talk to some hurting people today. I want to talk to some people that are hurting before we start praying. There are a few other people that need to come to this altar. There are a few more that I know. I hear the Holy Ghost saying, you need to get down there. I know you think you got it together. I know you can't. You may be one of the elders, one of the ministers, one of the deacons, one of the. I don't. You may be in the sound booth. I would not let this kairos moment pass because there's nothing more expensive than a missed opportunity. And God is saying, I need. I want to hear, heal you. Maybe you can't get what's next because you're still hurting from last season. Have your way, Holy Ghost. Have your way, Holy Ghost. Let the carbohydrates from the leaves make us sweeter in the season that we're in right now. So sometimes I just want to break down and cry. Yes, it happened in my life. But how do I live in this uncomfortable season when I'm hurt, when I'm supposed to be working in ministry? How?
C
How?
A
What about me, God? I'm watching other people prosper. What about me? I've been doing this thing faithfully. And what about me? What. What about me? I'm hurting. Does anybody even see me? I come to church, I come to work, and I've helped other people. But does anyone even. It's uncomfortable. And God, I know you gave me the gifts of help and I'm gonna keep on helping. But how much do you expect me to take without somebody even recognizing the hurt? That's the pain that's inside of me. And it came from trauma. It came from somebody leaving because somebody breaking in my soul. And my soul looks back and is going to wonder how I got over. But right now, God, the first marriage didn't work. The second marriage didn't work. The third one didn't work. This happened. I thought my children would be okay. And this is happening in my life. I thought my money went, this didn't happen. And this didn't happen. This walk it out Wednesday now becomes a healing for my soul. Just walk it out Wednesday for you online. Just walk it out Wednesday. Become a healing for my soul. Because even the tears, whether they're crying here, whether you are not, God says, I see those tears and the tears are fertilized. And the seeds that's planted in your ground so your sycamore tree can grow even in uncomfortable times. Dr. Val, if you would lead us in a word of prayer

The Living Water that Flows Through Our Branches we come to you tonight for these souls. It is not by happenstance that you have brought this word to us for the last two weeks. You knew the depth of the soul issues that were going on in our church. And I thank you God that we're able to nourish those souls by your word, by prayer, by love. We thank you that our people don't have to leave the same way they walked in. And I pray right now for the breaking, for the destruction of the ties that are holding these souls bound. And I pray for a freedom and a release and I pray in the name of Jesus for a filling in those empty places where they don't know what to do to fill it with. I pray God that you would fill it with your spirit so that your very peace would come over them, overshadow, overtake them, and they will be covered by the leaves of the tree. For those leaves are for the healing of the nations and the leaves will heal them from the soul. Out in the name of Jesus, let the tears flow. Let the tears flow. Let the heart be exposed so you can heal what's been broken. Go from heart to heart, from breast to breast. Lift your hands all over this altar. Lift your hands. Lift your hands, Father, meet them right where they are. Cause them to know that you're there with them regardless of what they've done, regardless of how they feel. Heal regardless of what's been done to them, Father, let them release it to you. Let them cast their cares on you. Let them know that you care enough for them that you can take up their crosses and heal their souls. We bless you for it in the name of Jesus. Hallelujah.
A
So this is the way you feed your soul. We just want you, God. And for every hole that needed to be filled, I pray that today and tonight it is the start of a new beginning. I pray that tonight was the tilling of the ground that pulled up the old stuff so now you can plant new seeds. It is my prayer that whatever the enemy meant for evil, God is turning it for good. So Father, we thank you for today. We thank you for the seed that we sewn, for the tithe that we given, for the offering of the souls that's been given to the day for the young ladies who presented themselves and giving themselves to you, God. This is a full total worship experience that has taken place on this walk it out Wednesday. And God, we pray continually that you give back to us 30, some 60, some 100 fold. We thank you for this moment, for this divine moment, God, that you have now imparted into each and every one of us that our souls may be filled, that our souls may produce a harvest. And we declare that it is so. And we come against every stronghold of the enemy, Satan. The Lord rebukes you and the blood of Jesus is against you. We thank you for those who've given their life for new life. We thank you, God, for the seed that we've sown that's going to produce new harvest. Now God, let us grow strong like the sycamore tree that we can grow in any conditions that we declare and believe in. And we give you all the praise, the glory and honor. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen. Amen. Listen, before we get ready to get up out of here, I have to make this special announcement on this upcoming Sunday. It is not Easter Sunday. It is Resurrection Sunday. This Sunday. Thank God for the resurrection of souls. Come on, let's give God praise for Resurrection Sunday. It's going to be absolutely epic. You need to be here. There will be a amazing indoor carnival. It's gonna be soulful bunch food menu. Listen, food will be sold in our cafe. So do you know that there'll be food trucks and it's going to be in the north parking lot. But I'm so excited. And please don't let that, don't let the Holland bother you. Matter of fact, the Holland is a good thing. That's that, that's somebody giving their life to God. That is a great thing. But I am looking forward to seeing you on Resurrection Sunday. It's going to be absolutely Amazing. And this upcoming Sunday you get the last chance to get the early Bird registration for our Kingdom and Kids Summer Camp. The last day to register Early Bird is this upcoming Sunday.
