We have been talking about what happens. You might be seated in the presence
Dr. Oscar Williams
of God if you can.
Jack Myers
We have been talking about what happens after the Resurrection. Everybody comes to church on Easter, Dr. Williams. Everybody. Even the people who threw up various fingers when they were driving next to us on the freeway. Everybody comes to Easter, but what happens after Jesus got up on the third day and rose with all power in his hands? Our assignment here is to walk you up from the Resurrection to Pentecost Somebody shout Pentecost.
Dr. Oscar Williams
You said it. Somebody shout Pentecost.
Jack Myers
We're going to talk about the fullness of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as we build up to it in next coming weeks. We are here to develop your faith in challenging you to dig deep, deeper into the scripture, put the text in context so that we might grow and become all that God has for us to be. Dr. Williams. It's all about the shirt, man. I didn't want to compete, so I left, you know, I left my flesh at home. I, I, I just, you know, I love y'.

We want to stay focused. See there now, now that it skipped over to Pastor Don.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Pastor Tor says something inside over here, something good is going to happen.
Tim Spengler
So let's get clarity. But we do want to encourage, we want to encourage that we've been doing some amazing things, you know, making this very interactive and engaging. And one of the things we want to again, invite you all that are in the house. That was the Pastor Dobbins had encouraged everyone to start reading the book of Luke and Acts and John just so that you can have stuff stirring in your mind. But we want to really encourage in person questions. So if you're in the room, something about the resurrection, something about burial of Jesus Christ, something about the ascension, any of that. Pentecost, because we're walking to Pentecost. We want to invite you in this room to ask questions. As always, we have people in the aisles who will hand you the mic. But really, really ask the Holy Spirit, what do you want to reveal to me tonight? What do you want to speak to my heart tonight? Don't come into this room of a whale that's flowing with water and leave empty. Make sure you pull out your cup because he's pouring tonight in the temple.
Jack Myers
My, my, my. See, that's, that's why I'm sitting next to somebody who's anointed. Come on. Can we give it up for Dr. Oscar? Pastor Ture received a message from God called something good is about to happen. Even in the midst of what the enemy was trying to do with Pastor Sarah and many others. And some things that were trying to happen in Your life. And so as we look at how pain transitions into power, we find out that Jesus was Crucified. From the 6th to the 9th hour. We have a slide that is going to show you. Our TV team is going to show you this timeline of what is about to happen. When Jesus gets up with all power in his hand, after the crucifixion, after the burial, after he comes out of the tomb, he is resurrected. Can we give God praise because he got up, he kept his word. Yeah, this will make me preach right there. I'm trying to move fastest. But if Jesus got up, this means that I can get up, I can get out of depression, I can get out of anxiety, I can get out of debt, I can get out of having a bad attitude, I can get out of lust, I can get out of pride, I can get out of left services, I can get out of bitterness, I can get out of unforgiveness. It's. Is there anything too hard for God? When Jesus gets up with all power in his hands, then all of a sudden he's seen. We talked about this a few weeks ago as a gardener because Mary Magdalene mistakes him as a gardener. It's interesting to me that it all comes back to a garden. So no wonder he would come back in the form of a gardener. We don't have time to fool with that. You, you got to go hear Pastor Dunn talk about that. Just Google you walk it out Wednesdays. But Jesus is appearing, reassuring the disciples, both men and women, that he is alive. It is like God keeping his promise to you. I just want to make a be line here for 10 to 15 seconds. Has God ever reminded you I got you. Come on. Am I the only one where some scriptures come up like, I would not suffer your foot to be moved. I know it's tough right now, but I got you. This is Jesus way of reminding them, I told you to destroy the temple in three days we'll build it back up again. So we start seeing these different appearances. So we're going to talk about different appearances on our road to Pentecost. And then he is alive after being resurrected for 40 days. This means he's shown for 40 days with many infallible proofs, still doing miracles, signs and wonders. And then after 40 days, he gives them instructions to stay in Jerusalem to wait for the Holy Spirit to be endowed, endued with power. And those 10 days that they are actually in the upper room build to pentecost. So your 40 days of Jesus being alive. So for all the naysayers all of the haters. This is why we're Christians. Jesus got up again and lived for 40 days, showing many infallible proofs. And then the disciples along with it was 120 of them in the upper room for 10 days, praying, taking care of, business, being. And then now they're filled with the Holy Ghost on the day of Pentecost. Dr. Val, what happens on Pentecost? Because for 40 days, he's been eating fish with them, fishing with them, talking to them, and then all of a sudden, he gives them instructions to wait.
Pastor Don
Thank you, Pastor Dobbins. Praise the Lord, everybody tonight. This is so significant as we talk about this walk to Pentecost, which is about six weeks away now, I think. And it is our desire to take you on this journey, this road to Emmaus, if you will. But I want to start with some historical background about Pentecost and just show you how we got to it. So in the Old Testament, if we look backwards so we can look forward. In the Old Testament, the feast of weeks, or Shabbat, was the time when the agricultural harvest, as it says. Thank you for showing my screens. Festival was going on, and it was the commemoration of the giving of the Ten Commandments. So they celebrated Moses having gotten the Ten Commandments from the Lord. And then it brings us to the New Testament, where now the feast of weeks is called the Feast of Pentecost, which is 50 days after the feast of First Fruits. And I'm going to talk about that in just a minute. And it commemorates the coming of the Holy Spirit on the apostles in the upper room. And it's often considered the birth of the church. Next slide for me. So in the little time that I want to take, you can go back and read Leviticus 23, because this is where you see the full fulfillment of all the feasts. And this is where we lay it out. So the Pentateuch and the Pentecost relate it in this way. The Pentateuch informs the Pentecost. So we learn about the Pentecost in the Pentateuch, which is Leviticus. So the Sabbath here, the eight major feasts that the Lord gave Moses on Mount Sinai. And the first one, which we keep still to this day, is the Sabbath. Keep the Sabbath and make it holy. That's every day. I'm sorry, Every week. Once a week. Then in the spring and summer, the scriptures say that the Lord wanted them to keep the Passover. You know what that was? That was the sacrifice and the death in Egypt, when they were. When they were Killing the sons. They had to come out of Egypt. All right, the unleavened bread was the time when they told, when the Lord told them to sacrifice unleavened bread for their sins. The next one was the first fruits. And then we have Pentecost. Now, I got it broken down like this. So these were the feasts that had to happen in the spring of their year. And as we look at it, we look at the fact that the Passover represents the death of Jesus, and then the unleavened bread represents his burial, and the first fruits represents his resurrection. And now The Pentecost is 50 days after the resurrection, or 50 days until Pentecost and the fall, the trumpets, the atonement, the tabernacle. We're not in the fall yet, so I just wanted to really hone in on the spring and summer. Now, Pentecost happens at the end of May, the beginning of June. It brings in summer. For the Jews, it brings in summer. And then it lasts until that fall time when we go into the trumpets, the atonement and the tabernacle. That's kind of how we know when Jesus died, because of when the Sabbath. I'm sorry, when the feasts were held. So we can almost pinpoint his death, burial, and resurrection because it was related to the feast. My next slide. What's noteworthy about this is the fact that because we have not yet seen the fulfillment of Trumpets, we remain under the Pentecost. So we're going to see the Pentecost until the Spirit is taken out of the earth. And when the Spirit is taken out of the earth, then we're going into the Feast of Trumpets. And from resurrection to Pentecost, we see Jesus spending 40 days teaching his disciples. Now, how does that relate to Old Testament? That's because the Pentateuch was where we learned about the laws, where we learned about Jesus, where we learned about the death, burial, and resurrection. So Jesus spends time, as we'll talk about in just a moment with the 4 on 40 days, teaching his disciples the Old Testament, the law, everything, the Scriptures, as it said, which was the Old Testament, the law, the prophets, etc. Etc. Etc. And then we go into. What we're going to talk about tonight is. And I don't think I said this. Pentecost means 50. You know that. Okay, and we'll go into Emmaus, and
Tim Spengler
Pentateuch speaks to the first five books. So Penta. Yes, being that number five. So when we talk about the tour of the Pentateuch, we're talking about Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, number and Deuteronomy, the books that are given to Moses as the authorship. I want to highlight also something when we talk about first fruits. You saw that on the other side, as well as the main slide, you can put the timeline slide up. First fruits. Why is that important? Because Jesus Christ is the first fruit of the resurrection. Christ, the first fruit of those who sleep, who are now being resurrected, arise. And that's First Corinthians 15 and 20. His resurrection is the guarantee and the pattern for ours. I wanted to stop while Pastor Dobbs was talking just to emphasize one more time that we have the cross, and the cross is so important as we'll talk about. Because in the time that Jesus walked the earth, to be crucified was a blemish. It was a disparaging thing. It was horrible. It was not, as we see it today, something that you will wear on your chest or something that you will put in the church. And a cross was a damnable thing. A cross is something that nobody ever wanted to bear. And you definitely did not want your leader to be crucified because what it said is everything that you were hoping for just died. Everything that you were searching for would just die. Jesus was not the first to be crucified. He was not the first to rise up and to proclaim himself as a messiah. He is the only one that was both crucified, buried, and rose again. And so what we see, the disciples when we're on this road to Pentecost after the resurrection, we have a different take because we know the story, how the story ends. But you have to put yourself in the middle of their despair. The man who had they placed all of their hope in, the man who they felt like was going to turn right side, turn down right up. The man who they thought was going to right all the wrongs, the man who they thought was going to restore Israel back to power and throw down Rome. The man who they thought was going to ride in on chariots and make them kings and princes and queens, the man that they put all of their faith in has now been crucified, has now been placed on a cross. The most embarrassing thing that could happen. And now, not only has he been crucified, but he's been buried in a borrowed tomb. What kind of king would have to borrow a burial place? And now they get to the third day, and because their leader has been crucified, fear has swept into the camp. Because the one who they saw raised from the dead, the one who they saw heal, the one who they saw deliver now seemingly has not even been able to deliver himself. And the premise of their faith now has been crushed, nailed to a cross and buried in a grave. And then we get to the third day and we get excited about the third day. But to them, the third day was just another day that they were coming to lay flowers at the tomb. And they get there and he's not there. Now, they don't think automatically that he rose from the grave. That is not their default thinking. They thought somebody stole the body. What's so important? The reason why I want to be emphatic about this is because these are the same people that walk with Jesus. These are the same people that heard him preach and heard him teach and saw miracles. These are the same people that had close proximity to him and yet they could not believe that he would do what he said he would do. These are the same people that come to church every Sunday and log on and come to Bible study. These are the same people that celebrate and give their tithes. These the same people that shout up and down the aisle. And when it comes time to test your faith, you doubt if he's going to do what he said he's going to do. And we keep showing up at a tomb, not looking for him to have risen, but looking for him to still be there. And so this is the setting, this is the scene, this is what we talk about at the life after resurrection that they now have shown up as at this tomb and he is no longer there. And they're trying to figure out what happened to Jesus. What happened to Jesus?
Jack Myers
No, no. Talk about it. It's a dangerous moment to slow down and to really talk about this moment, because as Dr. Val is talking about the Pentateuch. You're talking about the Pentateuch. The Pentateuch. I see. This is how my mind works. I see the first five books of the Bible. Genesis, Exodus, 4, Viticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, as a somewhat of a tithe to what is going into the 50 days of Pentecost. And the problem happens when you have been given the answers to the test, but you didn't really study. You were given all the answers in the. This is, you know, this, this part, but this is just how my mind. In the 50 chapters of Genesis, the 40 chapters of Exodus, the 36 chapters of Numbers, 27 chapters of Leviticus, and the 34 chapters of Deuteronomy, they were given all the answers because an innocent animal had to die in the garden. That's why he comes back As a gardener. But we didn't know what kind of animal until we got to Exodus, chapter number 12. We find out that it's a lamb. But what kind of lamb? A spotless lamb. Wait a minute. A lamb that did not do anything wrong. A lamb that was accused of being the king of the Jews. Thou say it, not me. A lamb whose blood would be applied on the doorpost. You all remember that it was applied on the doorpost both horizontally and vertically. That's a whole other aspect. You can kind of see the cross put the. Put the blood on the doorposts and the lentils. They didn't realize to Dr. Oscar point, this was the lamb that was already slain from the foundation world. How does this relate to us? What do you do when God has told you what he was going to do, but you're in the middle of it? And now it's frustrating. You're in the middle of it and your grief is not gratitude because you're looking at the third day. I skipped over this initiative. I said, oh, we got to start going to Pentecost. And I thank you for this reminder for us to see in this moment. Because somebody in this room is at a broken place. Even though there's a promise over your life, how in the world do we keep our gratitude and our praise in the midst of the promise being absent
Dr. Crumpton
that is so essential that our mindset stayed elevated to the sacrifice. What happens is during Passover, we talk about the Lamb, we talk about the blood. But here's what's really important. Dr. Crumpton, you said it. You talk about. He has given us answers. We talk about the Lamb, we talk about the blood. Oftentimes we don't talk about the application of the blood, where to apply it, because you could have put it on your step. He said, don't put on the step. Put on door posts. And the problem with some of us, the blood of Jesus is available. We just don't know how to apply it. So when he says, plead the blood over your children, you take that lightly. Not understanding. When the blood is applied to the doorpost, it covers everything in the house. So when you apply the blood, you understand the strength of the blood. When you understand the strength of the blood, you understand that death angels pass over. Not just death as in little, but death is in every area. Spiritual, emotional. So now what I'm declaring is the right application of the blood. See, I found this as relate to medicine. It's not just the medicine that's important is having the right dosage. Of the medicine that's important. Okay, I'm gonna say that again. It's not just the medicine. It's having the proper dosage and not just the proper dosage. Make sure you take all the medicine until everything is up out of you. And oftentimes we don't apply the blood until everything is up out of us. Because he says, when you apply the blood, go in the house. See, now you have a human responsibility. Passover, you're not going to pass over if you're outside the wheel. You have to be inside the house.
Tim Spengler
You have to stay under the blood.
Dr. Crumpton
You have to make sure you stay there. Here's human responsibility. I'm apply it and I'm going to sit there. The timeline is the problem. You got to sit there until everything passes. You have to be patient enough to. Everything passes. It's not. I want to go outside. I'm not peeking outside. I'm sitting here under the blood until everything has passes me by. So I'm not worried about it. All I know why, because the blood. So when you hear Satan say the blood, all I'm saying is I applied it in the right place. So when I go to the office tomorrow, I'm applying the blood. When I go home tomorrow, I'm applying the blood. It is the application of the blood, not just the lamb itself, because now you take the lamb for granted. So now Jesus death is taken for granted because he pleads the blood. It's the blood. It's the application of the blood as it relates to Passover.
Jack Myers
Dr. Val, we need your expertise on this.
Dr. Crumpton
I told you that Passover was gonna mess us up.
Pastor Don
Listen, I don't know where to start, but I just. When you ask the question about how do we stay. How do we stay focused? I think when. When he's not here. I can't remember how you said it, but I was trying to wait until we got to that place in Scripture, you know what I'm saying? Because in the Scripture, when he was on the road to Emmaus and they found out finally who he was, and they went back and told the others, the Bible says that they begin to praise him. And when they praised him, he showed up. So when you praise him, he will show up. And in praising him. Yeah, yeah. And when you praise him means you're speaking well of him to somebody else. You're telling them how good he is, how great, how mighty, how powerful, how loving, how true. And when you talk about him, he shows up. So whatever's going on, all you got to do is praise him and the Bible says he'll show up.
Tim Spengler
We got a question there.
Pastor Don
Good evening. Tying along with your statement that the disciples didn't recognize Jesus, I've always been kind of sort of taken back by this scripture. It's after Jesus reveals his that he's going to die for the third time. And it's in Luke, chapter 18, verse 32. And it says, but they understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they did not know the things which were spoken. So did God hide the. Like hide it from him? Like, I'm not going to let you know now because it seems like everybody was hid until he let them not be hid. Mary, the road to Damascus, even doubting Thomas.
Tim Spengler
Yeah, go ahead. So it's, it's even. So one of the things, the scenarios to that question that we wanted to highlight was this road to Emmaus because part of what my sister is saying there is hidden in this. How does God hide himself, hide his word from those who have close proximity to him? Or why would God keep hitting the things that we should know or that should be exposed? So if I can use our road to Emmaus? So I'm going to answer that in this way. We'll piggyback. So in scripture, on this road to Pentecost, there is a passage in Luke, Luke, chapter 24 that speaks about two disciples that are walking. So we see that the women have gone to the tomb. They see that he's not there. They come back to the disciples. The disciples don't believe them. They. The Bible says their words were idle in their minds and they thought, yeah, that couldn't happen. It's just amazing. Again, they're saying he's not there. They don't believe him. And the Bible says. And then two disciples start walking, leaving Jerusalem, leaving the place of hope, leaving the place of safety, because their hope has been diminished. My king has died. And so instead of staying where the blood can cover me, I. I'm going to step out of the blood and I'm going to go on a different path. And they start walking to a place called Emmaus. This is Emmaus. Now, Emmaus is about seven miles away from Jerusalem. It is. It is a distance away from Jerusalem. So they have to leave the place of comfort. And on this journey, they are having a discussion. So let's just stop with Emmaus. Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead. I don't want to get too far here because I'm getting excited because that,
Dr. Crumpton
no, you're onto something. But actually, I'M glad she asked that question because the two run parallel of each other. You and Dr. Crumpton just said something that absolutely blew my mind. As I was thinking, Dr. Crumpton said at the latter end of the text, they praised him and he showed up. In the beginning of this text, they don't praise him and he still shows up. So now you talk about the grace of God, that even when you're walking
Tim Spengler
outside of the will, he comes and finds you.
Dr. Crumpton
He still will come and find you.
Tim Spengler
He'll come and find you.
Dr. Crumpton
And if I could talk to anybody out there who's scared, thinking you're messed up, God will still come and find you outside of the wheels. Nope, we say we're not doing that. But, but, but, but what's really even more important is that sometimes things aren't hidden. Sometimes we're just immature and we can't handle if he showed us. So God literally says, I'll wait until you can handle it before I can reveal it to you. It is the covering. It is. It is most of us. We're in Texas. We're in Texas. Guns are big in Texas. Guns are big. I'm learning. Guns are everywhere in Texas. But what I found out is this. I don't care. Because you have the license to carry a gun when there's a child in the house, you have to keep it hidden from the child. So there has to be a level of security to say you can't handle this weapon.
Tim Spengler
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Dr. Crumpton
And if I give it to you too early, you could kill somebody and kill yourself.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Yeah.
Dr. Crumpton
So what you think is punishment is really protection. So I'm hiding it until you can handle it. So I just. I thought about that.
Pastor Don
Can I add right here.
Jack Myers
Right here, Right there.
Pastor Don
So. So. So when Jesus showed up on the road, they didn't know who he was. Right?
Dr. Crumpton
Right.
Pastor Don
Okay. So he calls them. When they said, when he entered their conversation, he said, what are y' all talking about? Right? And he said, are you the only. They said, are you the only stranger that don't know what's going on in Jerusalem? Right. And they begin to talk about Jesus died and you don't know all of this. And he called them. What did he call them? Oh, foolish ones.
Jack Myers
He rebukes them.
Pastor Don
He rebuked them because they didn't know who he was. And he was there. He was right there with them. Slow of heart to believe all that the prophets had spoken. So this goes back to the beginning of our conversation, to the Pentateuch, where it was in the Word. And if you knew the Word, you'd know that he was going to rise, that he was going to get up. He did hide himself on purpose intentionally. But when he opened his mouth and started talking, don't you think he should have known his voice?
Tim Spengler
But, but, but, but, but this. Yes.
Jack Myers
Well, well, what you got to say, Doctor?
Tim Spengler
But there's. There's something in the text that we got that we got to highlight. There's a couple of things in the text that we have to highlight because he intentionally. Even the scripture says that they could not see him. And part of it is they did not know him. They did not know him. They couldn't spiritually see him because we're talking about. Not. Because even when the Bible says that they were blinded, we know that they weren't physically blinded because they're walking on the road. So the scripture is telling us that something in their spirit. Spirit was blinded and they could not see. Now, check this out. Check this out. So they're walking away from Jerusalem, and Jesus comes and meets them while they're leaving protection. I am so glad, like the prodigal Father, that he could. Like the prodigal son and the Father, that he'll come running after me to bring me back into safety. And instead of. And instead of chastising them, he asked him a question. But before we get to the question. Before we get to the question. Question, there is. You can go to the next slide. Go to the next slide. The next one, too.
Dr. Crumpton
Why. Why are you going to the side? I want to say something, Dr. Crumb, about what you said, because I wanted to throw the microphone when you said it, because you made me think, like, oh, my God. We're blinded in certain areas of our life, and it is intentional. It is sometimes for our own good. But then I thought about this. Maybe we don't recognize him because we don't recognize the level that he's on now. And stop looking for people to recognize you when you're on another level. Why dummy yourself down so they can understand you on the level that they are when you move to another level. And I know where we're going with this, but I thought to myself while y' all were talking, like, wait a minute. They don't know who he is. And it's okay that people don't know who you are on the level that you are now. Take time to explain it to.
Jack Myers
Well, anyway, yeah, I gotta jump in to wrap it up. First of all, I want to tell our online streaming audience, you can also Ask questions as well. And we're going to make sure we answer questions within the room. This goes back to the answers on the test. Remember we talked about Exodus, chapter number 12? He says to take a spotless lamb without a lamb without spot, wrinkle beams, to apply the blood on the door posts and the lentils. The blood on the door post and the lentils was a sign that death had already taken place. Hearing is the problem. We're trying to live in our flesh when God has told us sh. We're trying to live in our flesh when God said, deny yourself. Let the flesh be crucified. And sometimes we're trying to live outside, outside of the boundaries of the spirit. If God showed you everything, why in the world would you need faith? So when the text says to walk by faith and not by sight, it is this blind faith that develops who we are so that we might meet God on the level that we're supposed to meet him in. I think we have a question.
Tim Spengler
Go ahead.
Dr. Crumpton
Yes.
Dr. Oscar Williams
What are some of the different ways
Dr. Crumpton
we can apply the blood to our lives daily? Good question.
Jack Myers
I love it. First of all, I'm so happy for you. First of all, this is a firehouse alum.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Can we give it up? Our teenagers are being raised up in
Jack Myers
the fear and admonition of the Lord. Shout out to his parents, who are great deacon and elder. Okay, I'm sorry. Just. I got a little favor there. I think applying the blood means that we need to learn where God fits. And you say, well, how can God. How can we dummy God down to fit in a certain place exactly everywhere it needs to be applied. I think we apply the blood of Jesus everywhere, especially areas where we have trouble trusting him and tracing Him. We often try to trust God when we cannot trace Him. We often try to trace God when we. When we have difficulties trusting him. So therefore, the blood needs to be applied to every area where we are immature and not fully developed. Developed in God. That's my answer.
Dr. Crumpton
So my answer to you would be one metal. I'm speaking to you metaphorically. Go back to the book of Exodus. He says, apply the blood to the door post. Well, you got to understand how a door is made. It's made out of wood. It's crevices, which means there's cracks in the wood. So everywhere there was a crack, the blood seeped in. So my answer to you would be everywhere there's a crack in your life. Applied the blood there.
Dr. Oscar Williams
What?
Dr. Crumpton
He said, no, no, no, no, no, no. Go ahead. Yes, go ahead, Doc.
Pastor Don
I want to say this in addition to what my colleague said. You're under the blood. You're under the blood right now. The death, burial, and resurrection, when you were baptized. You're under the blood. You just have to recognize. And in those times that you're under the blood, and it's not. It's. It's. It's as much about applying it as it is knowing that you're under the blood. Okay, you're covered.
Dr. Crumpton
Yeah.
Pastor Don
Under the blood.
Dr. Crumpton
Your. Your covering is under the blood. You are always covered because of that. Make sure you learn how to use that covering. Where do I use it in my life? How my mother, my father? Apply it to your future spouse. Apply. Okay, let me. I apply the blood to my future because I don't want anything that hinders me from moving forward to block me, to distract me. I'mma plead the blood against it as I walk. Under the blood as well. So. I totally agree what she said.
Jack Myers
May I say one little last thing, Cam? First of all, these are brilliant answers. I learned a long time ago that every scripture in the Bible all points to the blood of Jesus Christ. Everything in your life is pointing to who you are and who you're called to be. God did not miss when it came to you. He did not miss. Even when it feels like you fall short, God never missed.
Dr. Crumpton
That's real good.
Tim Spengler
Amen. Praise God.
Dr. Crumpton
You good? Okay.
Tim Spengler
I wanted to. And again, these are great questions. We know that the seeds are falling in the right soil as you begin to ask questions. And we hear. But I want to go back to something. We're talking about these two disciples, one that is unnamed and one that has a name. And they're walking, and we. And we've established that Jesus meets them where they are. Jesus meets them in the middle of their.
Jack Myers
Now, Dr. Oscar, can you talk a little bit about the fact that they are disciples? These are not just two people.
Dr. Crumpton
Right, Right.
Jack Myers
These are actually those who. The root word for discipleship is discipline. Are we. Should we be tough on them? Should they have had. Have had these. These aren't two people that did not know him. Yeah, I don't want to over judge them. I've got my own issues. Talk to me.
Tim Spengler
But you know what's so interesting? So there's several. There's several caveats to that because they're disciples. But. But the Bible's intentional in not naming one and then giving us the name of one that wasn't named amongst the 12.
Dr. Oscar Williams
So.
Tim Spengler
So what I love about Christ is that he doesn't come to the ones who were deemed the main ones. He doesn't show up to the Peter and the James and John. He comes and finds two unknown disciples walking and having a dispute. He comes to, which means he will come to anybody. It is not. I was talking to somebody today and they were saying, I need somebody to present me to God. I said, you don't need nobody to present you to God. You can present yourself to God because he's concerned about you. Whether you're in the back of the church or the front of the church, whether you're watching online. God is meeting you where you are, even in the place of your doubt. Because I would submit to you that part of the reason why their spirits could not see Jesus is that they were overcome with grief, they were overcome with hopelessness, they were overcome with despair. They, they're on a road leaving the place where they met Jesus, going to a foreign place, having a dispute about what happened. And life can sometimes have us so, have us so inundated with our problems, have us so inundated with our fears, having so inundated with all the things that we feel like let us down that we don't even know that the incarnate Word is walking with us. The, the, the one that they were mourning over has actually met them on the road to Emmaus. But their grief has covered their soul. And sometimes you can be sitting in church not knowing that your deliverance is right next to you, but you're so inundated in your grief and your disappointment because God didn't do it the way you thought he was. Because that's really why they were upset. If we read in the text there is a part that says we had hoped that he would be woo. That, that, that stuck out at me. We, we, we followed him. They, they said, they said to, they said to Jesus not knowing it was him, where you been? Cuz Jesus asked them a question. We going to get to that. Watch out when God asks you questions because when God starts asking you questions, he's pulling you into dialogue with him. He's pulling you into conversation with him. He's not asking you a question because he doesn't know the answer. He's trying to reduce, revealed something to you. So God asked him a question, what's going on? And they say, where you been? What you don't know what's happening?
Jack Myers
I gotta throw this in.
Dr. Oscar Williams
I feel a pastor does.
Jack Myers
I gotta throw this in it. Dr. Val. Because I. Dr. Val, I could feel you, I could feel you leaping in my spirit. It's interesting. I. I shared this with Pat. First of all, let me. Let me make this statement that I just heard in the Holy Ghost. Your brokenness is the thing that qualifies you for a breakthrough through.
Dr. Crumpton
That's good.
Jack Myers
Psalm 51 says that broken in a contrite spirit, thou will not despise. I was sharing with Pastor Don as we're walking over earlier. I. I didn't intentionally share it because I'm just trying to stay focused. I had three friends who were all 52. Two of them I grew up with since kids who went home to be with the Lord. I had three funerals last week. Different cities, different places. And I say, yo, this is a tough season. I'm used to doing funerals. I do funerals for my family, my wife's families. I can make it through. And it's. But it's at the moment that somebody in this room might be at the verge of feeling like, man. Because your point was, when you're grieving, when you're broken, you're not really expecting the high heights. But could it be possible that the brokenness is the very qualification for the breakthrough? My wife and I experienced some things last week that just blew our minds to a great level. And for some of you in this room, you're in the best of times and the worst of times all at the same times. I'm just trying to tell you, don't miss the breakthrough.
Pastor Don
Before you ask your question, sweetie, let me say this. That takes us. You keep taking us to the end of the text, but it was when Jesus broke bread with them. He broke bread with them. It was a broken moment. It was in that broken moment that they came to know who he was. So don't take your broken moments for granted. It's in those broken moments when you come to see Jesus. It's in those broken moments that the scripture comes back to you. It's in those broken moments that Jesus shows up. So those broken moments are significant in your life. If you don't have a broken moment, you haven't made it yet. You gotta have a broken moment. It does something to your spirit, to your soul, to your mind when you've been broken, breaking the breaking of bread, He. He was the unleavened bread before he was crucified. And then he became the leavened bread because of our sins, right? So that brokenness was for our sins. So that brokenness let it happen. Because that's when you'll get to see Jesus on another level.
Dr. Crumpton
Nope. I'M not gonna bother that.
Pastor Don
Okay.
Dr. Crumpton
That's so good. I think she was first.
Tim Spengler
Okay.
Pastor Don
She was first. First of all, I want to thank the Lord for this phenomenal team that we have before us, that our leader has left us in hands with the beautiful people. We're getting knowledge, we're getting understanding. But my question is, how do we apply the blood today? When someone in the family is under the blood, the house is covered. So they may not be on the road, but if they're in your house, the Bible says they put the blood on the doorpost and the lintel, and everybody that was in the house was saved. So if you are under the blood, meaning the blood is covering you, it's already been applied. The blood has been applied because you're under it. Right. Does that make sense? You're under the blood, so everything connected to you is under that same blood.
Jack Myers
I agree with Dr. Val and I want to tag team to articulate, first of all, the eight babies who lost their lives. Shreveport, if I'm correct, was absolutely devastating. Heart wrenching, heartbreaking. And it just, whoa. You're like, oh, man, what did these babies do? What did they do? And to your point, God covered Pastor Sarah. Her neck could have been totally annihilated, vertebrae, etc. I have learned what helped me make it through last week. Having three friends the same age, knowing them, cut covenant with them, two of them. We grew up together almost all of our lives. Is. I found out this is, for me, death is just as much a part of life as life is itself. And so being covered under the blood often means different locations. The two disciples look for Jesus in the tomb, but he was resurrected. But he was the same Jesus, whether he was in the grave or whether he was resurrected, directed. It's the same God. Now for the babies, I have to. And it's tough. We minister to the family, we encourage the family, but in the end, we get to see them again. The text says, the dead in Christ, while we're feeling sorry for them, the dead in Christ shall rise first, and then those of us who are alive and remain shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air. So shall we ever be with the Lord. The Bible says, comfort one one another with these words. So as much as it is, I'm grieving in some aspects. I need to remind you that grief will overtake you if you do not have the right perspective and vantage point.
Dr. Oscar Williams
You. You.
Jack Myers
You have to be very careful because grief will pull you down to make you want to die with your relative who you miss or your friend who
Dr. Oscar Williams
you want to miss.
Jack Myers
So something in you has to say, wait a minute, it's not my time yet.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Wait a minute.
Jack Myers
Minute.
Dr. Oscar Williams
The Feast of Trumpets that she talked
Jack Myers
about has not happened yet because Michael the Archangel says when, when the trumpet sounds, then that will be my time to come up. So I have to put things in the right perspective. On the road to Emmaus, Jesus is helping them put the things into perspective as they should be. So as tough as it is, we, we. We. The. The Bible says we do it backwards according to ecclesiastics. We, we. We rejoice when they come, when we should cry when they come, and rejoice when they go. As tough as it is, God will see us through these situations. I hope that helps.
Dr. Crumpton
I'll probably say this. That's good. I'll probably say this in as simple as possible when we say, we plead the blood of Jesus. Pleading the blood of Jesus doesn't prevent hard times. Pleading the blood of Jesus carries you through hard times. So I don't want us to think of the blood as a parachute for an escape mechanism. I plead the blood. Okay, everything's gonna be fine. No, sometimes the blood is applied while I'm going through. Prime example, the three Hebrew boys. God wasn't outside the fire, he was in it. Sometimes you don't find him until you get in it. But it's your perception of how you see what you're in. But that will determine whether you're gonna be in this fire bound or you gonna be in this fire loose. So when we plead the blood of Jesus, I don't want to think that this. Oh, I plead the blood. So I'm going. Everything will be okay. No, sometimes you're gonna need the blood when you're going through hell to carry me while I'm going through this. So I just want to add my little two cents.
Jack Myers
That's beautiful.
Dr. Crumpton
Yes, ma'.
Tim Spengler
Am.
Pastor Don
Question. So you brought up the prodigal, prodigal son. And we was talking about like being blind. Was it as far as he had to leave home. He wanted his inheritance, but he wasn't mature enough. And then it took him going to the pigs and being in that environment and they could be the pigs, could be us in the world doing our own thing as we're grieving and trying to find ourselves. But when he came back, his father was happy. How do we, I would say, not become the particle son, like know when in desire moments and how to stay in those moments. I don't know How?
Dr. Crumpton
That's a great question.
Dr. Oscar Williams
When you figure that out, you let.
Tim Spengler
No, that's a great question. You asked it great. I think. I think there's. The answer is in the question right there. Because in both, whether we're talking about the two disciples walked Emmaus or we're talking about the parable of the Prodigal Son, it was a decision of the individuals to walk away. It was in their. In their humanity that sometimes to what Pastor Don says, we never want to be guilty of making it seem like life is something that is not. That being in church and pleading the blood will not excuse us from life happenings that humanity causes us to make decisions and to sometimes walk away from safe places. The prodigal son, because of immaturity, left his father's house seeking something that all the time he had. The two disciples left Jerusalem searching for something that was in the place that they left. The grace of our Father is not only will he meet us sometimes where we are, but instead of us making it all the way back, he'll run to us. It is him being a loving father. In that same passage, Jesus also tells them about the shepherd who leaves the 99 to go find the one right after that. He tells in the parable of the woman who lost the coin and. And go sweeping forward because she has to find it. And all of it is reiterating to us that Jesus is relentlessly pursuing you because you are his child. The enemy is the only one that is trying to keep you from the place of covenant. He is the only one putting thoughts in your head to say to you that it's better over there than in here. He is the only one trying to entice you even to take up something and make you feel like you don't have something that you already have. Eve was in a place of wisdom and knowledge, yet she was deceived by someone trying to make her seem like she doesn't have what she already had. And so. And so how do we stay out of that scenario? This is where we talk about the application of blood and understanding that if I'm already in a house that's covered, there's nothing for me outside there that has not already been provided. Because not only were they in the house, but they were eating. Not only were they eating, they were taking. They were having their own Passover. So everything you need, it's a decision. It's a decision that we have to make. Paul said, I die daily. I die daily to what? I die daily to my own thoughts and My own imagination and my own mind. It's a decision that every one of us, every pastor, every. Every pew member has to make every day that I choose to see Christ in everything.
Pastor Don
And could I add to that piece about the prodigal son when he made his mind. I was reading about this last week. I think about. Scholars were saying that when he made up his mind to come back and he had returned, well, the Father started running toward him to get to him before the people got to him. Because once you've made a decision to leave, you can't come back. So if they had a caught him at the entrance of the city, they would have killed him or turned him around. So the Father ran to get to him before the people got to him. So the loving God that we serve were run to get to you before the enemy sees you turn around and come back. Because he's not going to let you come back without a fight. But God's going to run and catch you whether you stay or go. If he sees you want to come back, he going to get to you before the enemy does. That's what love does from a father. I just want you to know.
Dr. Crumpton
Hallelujah, my God, you know, but let me. I'm sorry, can I say something to you? But I'm talking to everyone. This is for you. It's important what you say to yourself. It's important because we talk about the pig pen. He got in the dilemma because what he said to himself. He got out of the dilemma because what he said to himself. It's important what you say to yourself. Eve got in a dilemma because of what she said to herself. Sometimes you got to figure out before the Father can run to me. Let me make a conscious decision. I've been in this mess for too long. Let me get up out of here. And the text says, and when he came to himself. When he came to himself. How can he come to himself? That means he had a conversation with himself. I've been in this mess for too long. My father owns all of this. And I'm sitting here doing this. And a lot of us are living beneath our privileges because we haven't come to ourselves.
Pastor Don
Yeah, you.
Tim Spengler
You said something. It's not in any of the notes, but you sparked a revelatory thought that. I did not see it until you said it. That had these two disciples got to Emmaus without encountering Jesus, they would have never come back to Jerusalem for Pentecost. Y' all not excited about it. But you. It just dropped in my spirit that Jesus wouldn't let them get away from getting filled. They were on their way away from where the Holy. The Holy Spirit was coming to Jerusalem. They only went back after Jesus revealed himself to them and they had to rush back to there. But had Jesus not met them on the road to Emmaus, they would have made it to another place and not known that that was an infilling that was happening. Oh, I feel like running. Because he will.
Dr. Oscar Williams
He will.
Tim Spengler
He will be so intentional in me not missing my destiny. He will be so intentional of me making it to purpose that even when I'm walking the wrong way, he'll come and disguise himself because he knows my grief and my disappointment won't let me see Him. But he'll keep talking to me until I recognize him. And then he'll take me through his scripture and he'll show me His Word. And even if I don't get it from there, he'll sit me down and sup with me and he'll break bread with me until my eyes open up and I say, didn't our hearts burn? See, that's what happened when the word hit your spirit. That's what happens that now that's what fire happens. When you talk about the Holy Spirit falling when the Holy Spirit falls, He falls with revelation. When you said that, I saw my own self walking down a road out of disappointment and out of grief, arguing within myself. But then I had to remember he's so concerned about me that he met me where I was because he didn't want me to miss my purpose, my destiny, what he had for me. And he stayed in relationship with me until I came to my senses. Thank you, Jesus.
Jack Myers
I need some of whatever they drinking. I need. I need some of that. That's the Holy ghost.
Dr. Crumpton
Listen to Dr. Williams talk. And he. And this. And Jesus is so strategic with how he gets you to come to yourself. He comes, he doesn't say, how do you feel? He says, what are you discussing? What are you talking about? In other words, I need you to recognize where you are right now is the wrong place. So I can't come tell you you wrong. It's a GPS system to say, what are you talking about? My question to you today is, what are you talking about? What are you saying to yourself? What are you putting into the atmosphere? Because how can two walk together except they agree? So now we got depression walking with depression, we got anxiety walking with anxiety, going down the wrong road. And then the Holy Ghost decides to step in, but you can't recognize him. But he's still showing up with your crazy self. And I said I wasn't gonna yell or stand up, but every now and then I am so thankful that he showed up in spite of us, that he shows up even when we're heading away from the promise, that he shows up and says, hey, hey, hey, hey. So I'm still getting used to Texas and, and I passed my exit and then the GPS came on and said rerouting. So me trying to figure it out. I was going to get off on the next exit. It said if you go further 1 mile, you can just make a U turn in the middle. So instead of getting off the exit, if I chose not to listen to the GPS system that knows more than me on how to get where I don't know where I'm going, I can get lost in my own knowledge. But every now and then there was an interruption in a lost space in your life to where he says, I need you to turn around. And I don't know who this is for today, but you're heading away from the promise. God said, you need to turn around, turn your mind around. What are you discussing?
Tim Spengler
You know what is so interesting when he asks, we don't have time to talk about it. When God asks questions, God asked Adam and Eve a question, who told you you were naked? God asked Cain a question. God asked Job a question, where were you? God asked Ezekiel question, can these dry bones live? When God starts asking us questions, he's inviting us into dialogue. But. But I asked myself when reading this text, why didn't Jesus just say, it's me? I think this is to what my sister Janet was pointing out. It would have been easy for Jesus just to show up to them and say, hey, it's me. Why would he keep them from seeing him? And the answer is right there in scripture. Because later in that passage, it says, Jesus says to them, oh foolish ones. And he starts to uncover, interpret the scripture to them. Because what he was trying to do is awaken their spiritual sense senses. I could give it to you easy. I could just show up and do a miracle. But if I always did stuff so that you could see me, you would never dive into the Word. Because faith coming by hearing, not by what you see. Your faith can't grow unless you hear them. And your hearing man gets the Word. And so instead of Jesus exposing them to him through their sight, he starts to take them through the Word. And he gets the Word into their ear gates. He takes them through the scripture and interprets because he's building their faith. Is that what he's doing to us? We want to see him. We want the easy route. And God is saying, no, I'm taking you through the scripture. I want you to be able to prove to me because in a minute, you have to go testify to your brethren about me. And you're gonna need something more than a miracle. You're gonna need something more than a sign. You're gonna have to have real word on the inside of you. You're gonna have to be able to testify. Because when I leave, I'm getting ready to send you outside of Jerusalem. And so he exposes them to the Word. And then, then they get to the place, and I'll stop there because I know that's part of that's where we're going. I'm getting excited. We got another question, too. Yes, we got another question, too. Go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.
Pastor Don
It's not a question, but you talk about broken this. So in February, I received a phone call at work that my nephew is no longer with us. The following week, I was talking to a friend where I was talking about those who commit suicide because of what they're going through. And then here comes my nephew. He committed suicide. So I had a choice. I could out point, pull back from God or seek him. And I did seek him. In that brokenness, he also allowed me to see my nephew spirit arise before he rose on that third day. So it's just to show when you're in your brokenness, when you really, really seek God, how he comes in very strong and gives you the comfort and the revelation that you need. Because my, my nephew, all he talked about was God. So it's just to assure everyone that in your brokenness, he truly shows up.

I think the be first of all, can we give my sister a hand? The beauty I think about what you said is that God shows up, shows up to us in the way that we can actually receive it. So I bless God that you have peace in the midst of that storm. Peace Just like on the road to Emmaus, the Lord knows that they are questioning beyond measure. One of the things that hit me is that if two or three touching degrees shall be done in Jesus name, if two or three gather, he's there in the midst. But you have to be careful who your two become, right?
Dr. Crumpton
Right.
Jack Myers
In this situation, God intervened. But some of us are in situations that we put ourselves into and it seems to have isolated us. It does not mean that you cannot be reached by God. There's grace, there is mercy. But it goes back to the question, one of the things is, are we led by the Spirit of God? And I think even though they're questioning and they're hurting, the road to Emmaus to me is a rich road. I don't even know if we have the fullness of time. The word Emmaus actually means hot springs. I was thinking about that when you all were being really just intercharged and filled. The root Hebrew meaning of that word means hot springs. It is the same place northwest of Jerusalem, about 20 miles where the city Kirjath Jearim is this. This is where the men went back and got the Ark of the Covenant. There's a rich history in that place and I wonder if some of you actually realize that there's a rich heritage in this church. There's a rich heritage in your family. There's a rich heritage in the area you live in and sometimes everything is set up but it has not been revealed yet. Can we talk about the revealing of God on the road to Emmaus? You've got scriptures for that.
Dr. Crumpton
Even as you're talking about the revealing of God. I love the way Dr. Williams put it is that he doesn't just say hey is me, he does it through scriptures. So in other words he reveals himself in layers through the Word of God. There's a scripture that says he that athen hear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the church. Faith cometh by hearing. So in other words, there's layers to revealing himself to us. But the hungry part I love about it is once he reveals it they have this unwavering hunger. They say stay with us. In other words, don't go anywhere. Imagine having that type of love for God once I've experienced you one time, don't leave me. Whatever you do, don't take your joy away from me. Whatever you do, don't take your love away from me. I don't care if I'm having good days or bad days. Whatever you do, don't leave me because of what you show me. Not because of what you gave me, not because I got a new house, not because I got a new car, but because you revealed yourself to me. I'm falling in love with the revelation,
Tim Spengler
the Word of God.
Dr. Crumpton
I'm falling in love with the Word asking me why do we read so much? Cuz I've fallen in love with the Word of God. I haven't fallen in love with the transaction of God. I've fallen in love with the Word of God. Because the more I'm in the Word, the more he reveals himself to me, the more I know he's the Father that'll come and get me. Now I know the blood that always covered me. Now I know what he did for me on the cross. So it's the love that says whatever you do, don't take your spirit.
Tim Spengler
He said.
Dr. Crumpton
I said I was not going to yell.
Jack Myers
Sometimes we get frustrated because we, we, we feel like God is rationing out his blessings when he's really working on our relationship with Him.
Dr. Crumpton
Absolutely, absolutely.
Tim Spengler
He, Jesus had not even revealed himself to them. I just want to highlight that it was the fire of the Word burning in them that they had become so enamored with the Word. It wasn't that I want Jesus to stay with me. I want your Word to stay with me. And could that have been Jesus reasoning all along that I, that he knew he was getting ready to leave. I need you to be so attached to my word that even if you can't physically get to me, you have my word lodged on the inside of you. I need you to be so attached to my word that whether you're watching online or coming on a Wednesday, that the Word is so large in your spirit that your heart is already burning. And then we get to a place as we kind of come to the end of that, before they go back, I just want to see if we can just talk a little bit about that breaking of bread. The breaking of bread. We touched it a little bit, but it is this sacramental thing that happens. See the juxtaposition? Before Jesus dies, he sits with the disciples and takes them through the breaking of the bread and giving of wine. And he says to them, every time you do this, do it in remembrance of me. Now, this scene, after he finishes interpreting himself through the Scriptures to them, they invite him to eat with them. And Jesus sits down, takes the bread, breaks the bread, gives it. And then the Bible says, their eyes are open, and Jesus leaves. There is a symbolism between what we see happen in Genesis 3 and what we see happen in Luke, that when Adam and Eve took a fruit, the Bible says, and it's the same word, that their eyes were opened, but their eyes were open into a world of evil. Now, when Jesus reverses this, he gives them bread instead of fruit. He gives them leavened bread because he's become the sin sacrifice. He breaks it and gives it to them, and then their eyes are open. Why is it that their eyes were open at the breaking of the bread at that point? Could it be that they have now reached a level of maturity that after hearing the word, now they get to see Jesus in his sacrifice?
Jack Myers
Dr. Crumpton is getting ready to really extrapolate this. We actually have a slide that articulates the taking, the blessing, the breaking, and the giving of the bread. If our TV team can. Can pull that slide while Dr. Crump, so that you can actually see, he's taking the bread, he's blessing the bread.
Pastor Don
One more.
Jack Myers
He's breaking the bread, and then he's giving them the bread. Doctor. Dr. Val.
Pastor Don
Yes. So as Dr. Oscar was talking, what came to me was he said that before his death, they had communion, if you will. He broke the bread, and evidently these were there. And so when they broke the bread this time, it was like, omg, this is what happened right before his death. So their eyes were open because they saw who it was then that broke the bread. It was the one that broke the bread before he died. This is the same one. He's breaking bread again because what he's just done is showed him, showed them himself through Scripture. He's brought them from the Pentateuch to the prophets, and he's brought them all down to the New Testament. And now he's brought them to what he already told them that would happen. And now he ends it with what happened before he died. We broke bread. Don't you remember that?
Dr. Crumpton
Might I suggest this to add to what you're saying, Dr. Crumpton? Because I want to talk about the tail end of that. Might I suggest this, brothers and sisters, that Jesus was putting a word in their womb, that he was impregnating them with a word, that when their eyes were open, he vanished. He's saying, you don't need that phase of me anymore because you're carrying something. Now, I have imparted into you what you're going to need. So I don't need to walk with you anymore and teach you anything. In other words, I'm taking the training wheels off. You can ride by yourself now. I'm not concerned. Watch this. I'm not only concerned about the 11 who aren't here here, I'm going to get the ones who don't even have a name. So don't you go away from who don't have a name. Don't you run right here trying to get a name for yourself. All you need to make sure, has I been. Have I been in the Word with God? Because what happens is this is a strange relationship. Because all of a sudden there's a breaking of the bread. There's this juxtaposition to what happens. And now all of a sudden, we can see and he's gone. We can see and he's gone. If we're not careful, we'll depend on last season when God has given us a new season. Because I don't need the same Jesus that walked with me through marriage anymore. Because now he's giving me a word on the inside. Well, I'm going to tell everybody else. Let me come tell you what has now happened. And some of us are too busy worrying about the approval of others when we're in a brand new season of our life. And I'm so happy for the two disciples who said, we gonna tell you the truth and you won't have to believe me or not. I got another a word on the inside of me that has been deposited into me. I have been walking with Jesus himself. I know it myself. He has deposited something into me. And that's the reassurance I want to have, I want people to have, is that God has given you a word to deliver to other people.
Tim Spengler
So, and with that, what I love, what both of you all said it is what he gave them. Them, because he is the living bread. When he broke it, he gave them bread. And now they have the manifestation of who he is. And now he. The Bible says he vanishes from them because he gave them. And that's the thing.
Jack Myers
He no longer needed to stay because he was in. Come on.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Come on with you. But I shall be. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to skip the Pentecost yet.
Tim Spengler
Yeah. So now. So now you get another portion of me. You get to see another side of me. I have exposed you through the scripture. I have shown you who I am through miracles. And now that I broke myself and gave myself to you, now you have another element of me. And that is what it is. We, when, when we encounter Jesus, all of our encounters with Jesus leave us getting something from him where he says, I'm going to give you a place piece of me that you can take into the othermost parts of the world. Because this conversation won't just stop here. But I'm breaking myself off in our communion and I'm giving myself to you so that you can go back. Because after that, they weren't even surprised or even mad that Jesus wasn't there anymore. The same person that they have been arguing about that they couldn't find. Now they have walked with him and he's disappeared again. But because the Word has been been lodged in their hearts, I don't need a physical manifestation of Him. All I got to know is that he's with me. He's with me. He's with me. And that's why they could go back to Jerusalem, tag you it.
Dr. Crumpton
So then that goes to my last scripture. Would you put my scripture on there, please? Put. I want to get it in the Message Bible. I want to get it in the Message Bible. And the Bible says, once you realize you got a word on the inside, they didn't waste a minute. My question to you is, why are you wasting time? God has given you a word. Why are you wasting time? Stop giving energy to people. Who's trying to waste your time. Why they didn't waste time. They went up on their way back, back to the promise. They went back to Jerusalem. They found the other 11 and their friends gathered together, talking away. It really happened the Master has been taken. He has raised up. Simon saw him. Listen, this is true.
Tim Spengler
They come back.
Dr. Crumpton
Give me the next verse. It says, then the two went up over everything that had happened on the road and how they recognized him when he broke the bread. Which means they didn't recognize him until the bread was broken. I'm so glad Sister said that earlier. Sometimes you don't recognize them until. Until it's.
Pastor Don
Until you're broken.
Dr. Crumpton
God, I want to know you.
Pastor Don
There you go.
Tim Spengler
God, I desire you.
Jack Myers
No, I. You know what? What? What comes to my mind is what we would call the Last Supper. And Jesus to me is almost like Oprah. And you get a piece, and you get a piece, and you get a piece. He's literally serving them and what he's saying. And this is why you can tag team it with, I believe, John 17. He's praying, Lord, make them one like we are one. Because he says, you'll never understand who I am until you bring all your pieces together. And you've been trying to understand God outside of community. Can I throw it in to articulate? That's why everybody sitting next to you, everybody logged on with you, is actually important to the body. We would never understand the fullness of God until we all come together.
Dr. Crumpton
We have a question. That's good.
Pastor Don
Final question. My question is, when you said, what is like? What what is. Don't waste another minute. What is holding you back? So I know for me personally, like, I know situations I need to be out of, but fear is holding me back. And I read 2nd Timothy 1 through 7 every day to try. I even talk like, I honest with God. God, I'm scared. I'm fearful. I know I shouldn't have that spirit, but I am. So how do we overcome the spirit of fear to get out?
Dr. Crumpton
I'm gonna say something real deep to you. It's gonna be so deep. Telling. This is going to be revelatory deep.

Dr. Crumpton
Do It Afraid. Do it afraid. Don't let fear paralyze you. Let it be the fuel. As a matter of fact, if there's a fear that say God, I don't believe it. It may not work. It may not work. Dr. Samuel Chan told me this 20 years ago. He said, go ahead and fail and get it out your system. So in other words, go ahead and fail at it. So now you have to worry about it anymore.
Tim Spengler
But what if it works?
Dr. Crumpton
What if God hand is on it? What if the fear that the enemy is trying to throw your way is keeping you from the prosperous life that God wants you? Do it afraid and let fear be the fuel that keeps me moving. And every time I feel paralyzed, God let me be afraid of something else. As a matter of fact, you don't dream big enough if you ain't afraid. Everybody in here has been afraid of something and I know for a fact moving to Dallas was a fear for me. But I guess what do it afraid. Read, read Timothy, but keep doing it. I don't care to start the business, write the book, whatever that thing is. Pastor, you don't understand. I don't have to understand. The fear is the fuel now it's no longer the wheelchair. Come on, come on, do it. Afraid. I'm sorry, I done stood up in my chair.
Dr. Oscar Williams
No, no, I stood up, cuz. You stood up. Look, first of all, you're on the right track.
Jack Myers
You're on the right road. You just said you have been reading 2nd Timothy 1 and 7. God has not given you a spirit of fear, but a power, love and a sound mind. Keep reading and believing because you are about to walk into something fantastic.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Can we, can. Can you do me a favor and jump on your feet? And let's praise God in advance that the fear is broken off. The drama's broken off. The anxiety is broken off. The insecurity is broken off. It has been broken. You will walk in power, power and supernatural authority. Like something good is about to happen in your life. You just stepped into it. You just grabbed a whole. Wait a minute. The moment you stood up to the microphone, fear broke off. Lord have mercy.
Dr. Crumpton
There it is right there.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Hallelujah. I know, I know, I know. I need somebody to take off front and who knows what it's like for fear to grab a hold of you. But something broke off. No, no, no, no, no, no. I need somebody to take the root. I need somebody to dance, to shout, to jump. Cuz you know what it's like to be snatched out of fear, snatched out abundance. Every fetter is broken. Every chain is annihilated. God is a. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We're not going to change the Holy Ghost up now. Let him loose. Power's loose. Deliverance is loose. Creativity is loose. Marketing is loose. Design is loose. Writing is loose. Publishing is loose. Advertising is. Joint ventures are loose. LLCs are loose. Come on, come on. Bad relationships have been loose. Something's trying to pull you down. But God, God snatched you back out. I don't know who I'm talking to. But fear tried to hold you, but you snatched back out. Fear tried to keep you, but you snapped back out. See, this is the problem. We, we don't know a good place to shout.
Jack Myers
If God blessed my sister, he's on his way to your house.
Dr. Oscar Williams
If God just delivered her from fear, he is on his way to the thing that you've been dealing with. Come on, somebody give him a praise. Hallelujah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jack Myers
I got a sneaky suspicion that somebody in this room is dealing with fear other than my sister. And what happened? Change just broke off. But here's the key. You keep wanting God to deliver you in Secret.
Dr. Oscar Williams
You, you, you, you. You wrestling with this secret thing. This is gonna be an odd altar call.
Jack Myers
This is just gonna be an odd altar call.
Dr. Oscar Williams
I need you to come to this altar. If you know that something has a hold of you, you don't even. I'm not gonna even name what it is. For some, it's lust. For some, it's pride for whatever it is. If you know that something has been holding you and you have not been fully walking into what God has designed. Get to this altar now. Run to this altar. Lead to this altar. Jump to. There is getting ready to be some power and some delivery. We talk about the Holy Ghost. We're talking about from the cross to Pentecost. You think we're going to talk about all this word and God not deliver you and set you free. Back up, Satan. I. I can hear you saying, I don't have to go down there. I can hear it. I can hear you. I can hear you saying, well, I nailed it to the cross, but you've still been dealing with it. Back up, Satan. The blood, the blood, the blood. The blood over your mind. The blood over your vision. The blood over your dreams. The blood over your faith. The blood over your body. The blood over your look. The blood over your joy. The blood over your mind. The blood over your car. The blood, blood, I plead. The blood, the blood, the blood. Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on. Come. No, no, no, no, no. Come on, come on, come on. We're not gonna let God show up and not show out because. Come on, come on, come on. Where you at? Come out with your hands up. Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on. There it is. We're almost there. There it is. Come on, come on. There is a second wave that's coming. There was a wave online. There was a wave in the. Come on, come on. Right there. I love it right there. Because when the Holy Ghost hits the Mitchells, it's on its way down to you. Come on, come on. Flow with me, elders and ministers.
Pastor Don
Come on.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Flow, flow, flow. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. This is your last day of being bound. This is your last day of walking in bondage and fetters. This is your last day of doubting who you are. This is your last day. Come out, come out. Out, out, out. Fear is out. Insecurities out, out, out. Mental. Out. Come on, come on. No, no, no, no. You used to people just laying hands on you. You got a partner in the process. Open up your mouth and begin to open up Your mouth and tell them you're free. Come on. Open up your mouth and tell him you walk into faith. Open up your mouth and tell them you're walking in love and power. Open up your mouth and be filled. There it is. Come on. There is it. It is. There it is. Cuz some of you don't need another ounce of counseling. You need the Holy Ghost. I, the Lord thy God who brought thee out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide. I'll go. Feel it, feel it, feel it. Open your mouth. Come on, come on, come on, come on. As a point of contact, if you would just lay hands. Come on, come on, come on, come on. He's here. He's here. He's here. That's been enough breaking the bread now. He's in you.
Jack Myers
He's in you.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Come on. Let him feel you. Let him feel you. Come on. Let him put the auction of the Holy spirit Ghost. Come on. The kebab, the glory. Come on. Let him feel you. Let him feel you. Oh God. Oh God. Oh God. I just saw. I just saw somebody being delivered. I know it does not yet appear what you shall be, but it's coming. It's coming. Come on, come on, come on. Come on. On. Can. Can we stretch forth our hands this way and pray? Come on, come on. We're almost there. Come on, come on, come on. Can we pray online? Come on. Come on. The glory of God. The power of God. The deliverance of God. The healing of God. Come on, come on, come on. 30 more seconds to praise him. Come on. There we go. There we go. There we go. Sweep over Holy Ghost. Sweep over Holy Ghost. Sweep over Holy Ghost. You will not go home the same. No, no, no, no, no, no. Not this time. You will not go home the same. Now we got to ceiling with a shout. I'm going to give you 10 seconds. I'm going. We going to do a countdown and we going to fully shout cuz you can. Coming out. 10, 9.
Dr. Crumpton
8.
Dr. Oscar Williams
7. 6. 5. 4. 3, 2, 1. Shout, shout, shout. Shout. Out, out, out. Shout. I need you to respond like he snatched you out. Come on, come on. Out, out, out, out, out. Hey. Oh.
Ad Voiceover
Oh.
Dr. Oscar Williams
The glory, the glory, the glory, the glory, the glory. He's here. He's here. He's here. He's here.

Jack Myers
Deuteronomy 1 and 11 says the Lord will bless you a thousand times. So many more as you are. Oh God. I can't promise you money. I can't promise, promise you real estate. But I can promise you that the blessing of the Lord is on your life.
Dr. Oscar Williams
Give him praise if you know the
Jack Myers
blessing is on you.
Dr. Oscar Williams
The Bible Says he'll bless you 30, 60, 100fold God.
Jack Myers
But then when I read that he'll bless. He'll make you a thousand times so many more as you are then Genesis 26 and 12, I believe it was
Dr. Oscar Williams
Jacob sold and received 100 fold in the same year. And then the Lord blessed him. Oh, my God.
Jack Myers

If you would just span the aisles. Leave no one untouched. There's a lot going on in this world. As we say on social media, people are unaliving themselves. Thank you for giving that testimony on how God saw you through. For my sister who was dealing with her nephew. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of doing funerals of young people. I'm tired of doing funerals of people who decided to kill their future over their past. Been there. Been there. You can't change what other people change do. Maybe I didn't say that right. You can't control what other people do, but you can control what you do. Can we commit to be a Light? This week we're praying for the Jakes. We're praying for the Roberts. We're praying for Dr. James and Mr. James, praying for their entire family. And we're praying for the unspoken prayer requests that are in this room. Father, we thank you because our hearts burn within us as you use Dr. Oscar Williams and Dr. Val and Pastor Don and even myself in the process. Lord, thank you for opening up your word and making us hungry and thirsty again. Father, we commit to worship. We commit to prayer praise. We commit to being led by your spirit. We commit to not just pleading the blood of Jesus, but knowing that we are under your blood. Thank you for what you've done here in Walk It Out Wednesday.
